[ Seamus - Blue Beta] Seamus wouldn't blame T'Laara kindly and politely told him to go do one over his persistent concern. However it appeared as though his concern had been warranted after all, when the Vulcan admitted that she might be experiencing some kind of illness. What that illness was he didn't know and it was unlikely that he would get an answer as T'Laara then collapsed right in front of him. Glad that he had stuck around, the Irishman knew what he needed to do as he gestured for Jack to come over. " Stay with her, whilst I contact Ops" He said quickly, rushing off before Jack had chance to reply. " T'Laara it's Jack, helps on it's way" The other barman said reassuringly, as he cleared the immediate area and made the Vulcan as comfortable as possible. Meanwhile Seamus had practically ran to the comm unit located just behind the main bar and activated it without any hesitation. =/\= Seamus to Ops, requesting an emergency transport to Sickbay for T'Laara, she's just collapsed in the bar =/\=

[Leanna - Office, Blue Beta]
The dream that had been haunting her for the last few nights, began as if it was some kind of movie, starting again after being paused. Yet it was the same scene that kept replaying over and over again. She was in some kind of forest.. Kerelia perhaps or at least it had seemed familiar. Walking through the trees as if she was simply just taking a stroll, something she did on occasion whenever she needed to think or just have a little time to herself.
However this time, something didn't feel right and as Lea walked, the urge to run inexplicably and suddenly took over. Having no idea who was chasing her or why, the Betazoid acted on instinct, running as fast as she could, trying to find the path that would take her home. Not that she got very far before the emptiness of her mind pounced in the form of a shadow, forcing her to the ground. Lying there in shock and confusion as the shadow circled her, unable to move as if she had been glued to the spot.
Her conscious self struggled to wake but with no success as the blackness of the void kept her under it's control.

[Ensign Enola - hallways]
Enola nodded at what Evoris told her, although she probably knew he couldn't see her :comm: the dizziness has been there for about 15 minutes, and not really bad yet. I can walk... I will make my way to the sickbay if you wish :comm:. Even though she was reluctant to sound the alarm over such a minor thing, she would take his advice. Somehow it sounded to Enola, that Evorís was not the first case to feel unwell today. So she decided to ask again, :comm: Are there any strange occurrences that I don't know about? Are others feeling the same way? :comm:, she asked as she raised an eyebrow and slowly made her way to the infirmary. Slowly, though. Really slowly. For her, Evorís answer was of utmost importance. Speaking of which, he hadn't yet answered the question about how he was doing. But Enola would ask later and hear his answer first.

[Ensign Evorís - Operations, Front Ear] The situation was getting trickier by the minute, not in small part due to Evorís’ own difficulties maintaining his composure. It was typically much easier to will away exhaustion and discomfort, but now he found it near-impossible. If he were a human, he may have already been sweating, in his struggle to remain both standing and functioning enough to handle his duties. If there were any time to express gratitude for years of Vulcan endurance training, it would be now. =A= “Standby,” =A= he responded to Enola, just as another message filtered through the Operations comm. His suspicion that the apparent emergency was related to Romulan blood took another turn at the mention of T’Laara. Though he did not know the victim, it was a clearly Vulcan name. He glanced toward the Captain for approval, but decided that in this case, expediency and transparency would be more logical than confidentiality and patience. If this were indeed a crisis, as it now appeared to be, it would be imperative that all those affected were aware of it, and immediately examined. His own affliction, a heavy numbness that seeped into his brain, only further loosened his grip on the intricacies of procedure. (If events continued to unfurl this quickly, there was no knowing how long he would last.) He initiated a response, quickly altering the transporter parameters to locate the nearest Vulcan life sign to the comm’s origin signal. =A= “Acknowledged, this is Ensign Evorís in Operations. Please step back from the patient and see a witness to Sickbay.” =A= A quick transfer left the communication signal open for the Captain to continue a response if she wished, as Evorís continued his attempts to isolate T’Laara’s signal. There was no time and little point in lamenting the lack of information received in the message, but Evorís was satisfied to find that T’Laara was the only Vulcan signal in the immediate vicinity. Though by assignment, he was not an Operations officer, his familiarity with communication (and Vulcan) signals made the configuration manageable in his current state. “Energizing,” he once again announced, and activated the transfer. Immediately following the console’s confirmation of a successful transport, he tapped his personal comm to reinstate communication with Enola. =A= “Ensign Evorís to Enola. There have now been two Vulcan and Romulan collapses in mere minutes, with no known cause. What is your current location? Prepare to be beamed directly to Sickbay in the case of an emergency.” =A=Adrenaline flickering on its fuse, Evorís broke his strict posture to lean his hands against the edges of the console, and directed his focus toward conserving his depleted energy until he was addressed again. Once again, the blip of an anomaly on a nearby screen went unnoticed.

[Operations - Front Ear] As Evoris acknowledged her request and asked Enola for more information regarding the onset of vertigo that she was experiencing. Another emergency came in, this time from the Blue Beta as Seamus informed them about T'Laara's sudden collapse. Her instincts had been right and this was no mere coincidence especially now that a second person had collapsed without warning. Appreciating Evoris's quick thinking in initiating the transport without waiting for her approval, Thea knew that they had to find answers and quickly. In all likelihood, this wasn't the end of it and of course she feared for the safety of those who had been affected and how many calls they would get like the ones they had already received. Leaving Evoris to continue his conversation with Enola, Thea spoke directly to Sickbay. =/\= Baker to Paawin, a second person should now be with you and I have a feeling that there might be more. Keep me updated and utilise as many resources as you need, including pulling in more staff =/\= Pausing the channel as she noticed Evoris lean his hands on the console, Thea spoke to the Ensign quietly. " Why don't you pull up a chair Ensign?, make yourself more comfortable and if you start feeling unwell in any way, please let me know".If whatever this was, was affecting Romulans and Vulcans, then Evoris was at risk and she would do everything she could to help him and the others.

[Space]
For a fraction of a moment, the anomaly glowed brighter as the being within claimed another one of its prey. The energy that they had provided was quickly absorbed, enabling the being to see more of its true form. But that was nothing compared to the boost it received when one of its victims began to dream. Watching her closely, especially as the shadow gave chase and pounced. This was good, knowing that the next phase had begun and if one had fallen then it shouldn't be long before the others entered the dream realm.
At least that was its plan and if this was how they reacted, then the game would be just as enjoyable and fulfilling as the final feast. For now it decided to change the odds, taking control of the shadow in order to unleash what it was truly capable of, without them knowing what it was.
Leanna
That's what her name was as the shadow viewed her from above, before swooping low and stopping just in front of her. Hovering menacingly, gaining strength from her terror as it then allowed her to get up and run. Soon.. soon it would be strong enough to show itself to everyone and then they would also learn to fear it.

[Park -> ???Jeffries Tubes???] He could hear it move— he rustling of leaves, the creaking of the stalk, vines gently scraping against the wall— but what it was doing was impossible for him to tell. His sense of the plant and the space warped with the growing migraine; echoing half-rotations like a truncated spiral, a violent vertigo, disrupted every other sense along with it. Unique? His thoughts felt like they were falling in on themselves, going nowhere within his own mind, and certainly not outside of it. The silence that followed it was immeasurably vast, a force unfolding forces from itself in endless fields, paradoxically inert. It was the soul-deep sensation of awe, yet with fear, fear, fear in place of wonder. Suddenly, vines prodded and wedged beneath him, and Ic started sharply, surprised by the contact. Contact that did not stop. The vines slid over him more and more, tighter and tighter. It felt like thousands of wide ropes with their own wild minds in each unseen thorn, and though he felt no malice from the plant; he felt nothing from it but the snag of tuberous growth against his clothing and skin, the following firm squeeze. Unique, what are you doing? The answer was quickly obvious in a shift of kinetic sensation. It was moving. They were moving. Somewhere cold, his skin said. Somewhere close, by the tightness of the vines and the sound of his breath. Racing fear did not allow for analysis of the situation. Disorientation compounded, forces upon forces, spinning in the dark. A visceral scream tore shrilly through the walls.

[Ensing Enola - hallways -> Sickbay]
Enola listened intently as Evoris telled her what had already happened today. Vulcan and Romulan. That did not sound good. And somehow her concern for him grew. :comm: Evorís, are you all right? I am on deck 8 :comm:, she asked more emphatically now. Of course, it could be that he had more important things to do, but she at least wanted to know if she would get company from him soon. When he announced that he was going to beam her up, Enola was about to say something back (she could walk), but then quickly found herself in sickbay. Evoris!!!She looked around briefly to see what company she had and then waited patiently.

[ Cwm Eliska Bremmer - Primary Sickbay -> Ops - Front Ear Station ]Well, that wasn't much more information to provide to Doc Paawin, but that was all she could give him, really. And while she waited back for an answer from him, the comms system chirped indicating there were more casualties - similar casualties, coming in. Whatever was going on, that was certainly odd all right. "All right, Doc, you know everything I know, so I'm going to get out of your hair now. I need to run up to Ops."On that note, Bremmer made her way out the door, and to the nearest turbolift. The Captain wanted to see her up top, well, up top she was going all right. As soon as the doors to the station's command center whooshed open, she strode out and made directly for Captain Baker. "Captain, Crewman Bremmer, as ordered."

[Ensign Evorís - Operations, Front Ear] The Captain’s voice blurred and hummed, as though she’d become one with the station’s machines, and Evorís was drowning in the vast chasm of space beneath it. (It was a familiar sensation; how easily you could be buried in the absence of yourself.) The words faded just enough that he was able to filter the sounds more efficiently, glazing over the directive but quickly refocusing as she addressed him. Initially, he was apprehensive of her suggestion, as comfort could very well worsen the fatigue that clung to his shoulders. Still, it would conserve energy, so he conceded and pulled up a chair, nodding to the Captain in gratitude. There was no time to enjoy respite— Enola’s voice through his communicator immediately jolted him back to his task. Instead of answering her question, he scanned his console, quickly pinpointing her comm signal in a hallway on Deck 8. It was probable that she would make it the two decks to sickbay before she collapsed, but Evorís wasn’t willing to risk the small chance that she did not. If this was an epidemic of some sort— and he suspected that it was— it was imperative that the medical staff obtain information from as many samples as possible, immediately.“Initiating transport of Ensign Enola to Sickbay,” he announced to the Captain, and hoped she would approve of the decision, despite the high probability that Enola could have managed the trek without assistance. Hopefully, it would be the last emergency transport for the moment, though Evorís had his doubts. “Energizing.”When Enola arrived, he tapped his communicator. =A= “Evorís to Ensign Enola. I am... currently functioning.” =A= He, too, would require medical assistance if the ailment worsened, but with much of the staff gone from Operations, it was clear to Evorís that his presence would be of more use there than in Sickbay. =A= “Please relay all symptoms and relevant information to medical staff as quickly as possible.” =A= Not that Enola needed to be told to do so, but everything erred on caution, until they figured out the source of these collapses. That very source grew brighter now, a blinking red dot on an empty console’s radar. (And for the third time, flying below Evorís’.) He barely even noticed the arrival of Crewman Bremmer.

Jovireh stepped through the doors, and found herself standing in a corridor she hadn't seen in almost fourteen years. There was no mistaking it though; she had every corner, every bulkhead memorized. It wasn't right, though. Even though they had a skeleton crew, it had never been this empty and silent. "Di'ranov?" she called out, her voice echoing strangely. Something was wrong. Her pace quickened as her concern grew, until she was running through the empty ship and fighting back her panic.

[Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Sickbay]Riyo's concern grew when an unconscious Vulcan also materialized on a bio bed. While the scans were still running on his first patient, he began to examine the second, immediately noticing the lack of obvious cause. In his three decades of practicing medicine, one thing he was certain of was there was no such thing as medical coincidences. After starting the in-depth neural scans for T'Laara, he turned back to Velal, brow creasing when he examined the readings. It was fascinating, and concerning, and entirely mystifying. Before he could even begin to speculate on what it meant, a third person materialized. At least this one was conscious, though she didn't look to be the picture of health. "Go ahead and have a seat." he told Enola, gesturing towards the third biobed. "Doctor, do you mind? This is apparently much bigger than I initially thought." At least he wasn't working alone today. Before he could turn back to the scans, a loud clattering caught his attention from the other side of the room. Whipping around, his jaw dropped and eyes widened as he watched a plant crawl out of the Jeffries tube. Once the entirety of it was in Sickbay, the stalk straightened and the vines began to unravel, depositing a body on the floor. And here he had thought nothing could surprise him anymore... [Unique - Front Ear - Sickbay]The trip had taken longer than it anticipated, and the fact that it couldn't hear Ic anymore only increased its worry. But it had finally reached its destination - the place the computer said helped the ill and injured. After gently releasing its hold on its friend, it turned its bud towards the Other that it could sense. "Help him please!"

[[NPC] Dr. Floren Rafa, civilian physician — Sick Bay, Front Ear] “Mm.”He didn’t look up from the viewscreen at the administrative station to acknowledge the first page or Dr. Paawin when he moved to handle a patient, too enrapt with a journal article regarding the experimental uses of a recently cultivated herb from, of all places, Ferenginar. It seemed unlikely that the other physician would require his assistance with a single patient on a slow day, and Rafa wasn’t about to relinquish the pleasure of said lull in sickbay if he could help it. Their chairs were more comfortable here, their viewscreens clearer, the space quieter, and everything cleaner than the clinic. If there was one thing that could cause him to think again about joining Starfleet, it would be working full time in a spotless, polished, sterile infirmary. The only drawback was their expectation of standard, Federation-approved pharmaceutical treatments where often a ritual cleansing of the pagh would suffice. When a second patient arrived, Paawin had completed assessment of the first. Rafa observed this, and with no wish to insult his comrade’s ability to handle two unconscious women, took a long drink of raktajino as he continued reading. His interest in the situation, however, divided his attention, and made meaningless every word on the screen. When the third patient, alert and resembling the species of the second, was transported in, the raktajino sat abandoned at the administrative station, left for cold. No, he didn’t mind at all. That it appeared to be all women did not escape Rafa’s notice. As a youth training in the healing arts, he’d been a midwife first. There were certain signs he had been taught to look for in Bajoran women— signs that were all absent from these apparent Ni’Varans. Unhelpful, but unsurprising. It would have been too strange a coincidence, and therefore suspicious— as if it wasn’t already. He approached the third patient, an intelligence officer, with a stony calm and an equally warm wave of the tricorder. His voice in greeting was conversely warm, rich, and sweet as he scanned her. “How are you feeling, hm? Can you say anything about what feels different? What might have been different when you first started feeling this? How quickly did it come on?”The readings began showing as he spoke, not only unusual but downright strange. There was hardly time to frown at them and even less to hear the patient’s account when an even stranger thing broke his concentration. He turned to discover that the plant from the park had brought them a gift. A young man of indeterminate species now lay trembling and hyperventilating on the sickbay floor, hands over his eyes and intermittently whimpering. Rafa swore in Old High Bajoran, and cast a glance at Paawin to affirm the escalation of the situation, avowing his help. But first, a history. “Pay that no mind,” he told the ensign in biobed three, looking back at her in such a way that suggested the remark was to be shared. (Just. Ignore. The dirt.) He started the tricorder scan over again, just to be sure… “You were saying?”

[Operations - Front Ear] The arrival of Crewman Bremmer momentarily took away Thea's attention from what was going on and she intended to ask her, if she had any information from Sickbay. However the lack of a Padd suggested that nothing had been sent as yet. That was to be expected considering that they had dealt with two emergency site to sites, before Evoris sent Enola there as a precaution. Although did deal with one more important thing before giving the officers, present her focus. =/\= Baker to Sickbay, I appreciate that things have suddenly gotten a lot busier down there, we'll do what we can from up here and please forward any information as soon as you can, Baker out =/\= Having been in plenty of emergency situations and this mysterious something inflicting some of their people, she knew that Paawin and the others would update as soon as it was physically possible. Until then Thea would help in anyway that she could as she looked to those present. " Thank you both, for what you've done so far and I doubt that's the end of all of this. I'm not sure what's going on but we need to do what we can to help. Ensign keep monitoring comms and sending emergencies to Sickbay" Thea began, glad that he had gotten a chair and knew that she wouldn't have to tell him twice, if he started to feel unwell. " Crewman, I want you to gather as many security personnel as possible and arrange for extra patrols of all decks. If you come across anyone else that might be unwell or unconscious then contact us immediately, the same goes for anything unusual or out of the ordinary".Orders given, Thea hoped that she had covered all bases, whilst they waited for further information. Then again perhaps she had spoken to soon, as Ensign Mila spoke up as she and several others arrived for their duty shifts. " Er.. Captain, sensors are detecting some kind of anomaly just outside our perimeter beacons. It appears to be small and non threatening at present"." Acknowledged Ensign, run the usual scans and keep a close eye on it. It might be nothing but I'm sure Science will be interested in the data you collect". Once Mila had acknowledged the order, Thea tried not to think too much about coincidences.

[ Seamus - Sickbay] Being transported alongside T'Laara wasn't a difficult decision for Jack as he wanted to be useful and if possible would hang around so he could report back to Seamus about the Vulcan's unexpected condition. However when he materialised not far from T'Laara's bed, he hadn't counted on Sickbay being hectic. Especially when he looked around and spotted Jov equally as unconscious as T'Laara. As Riyo and another Doctor busied themselves dealing with the patients including an intelligence officer he had seen around the station. Jack tried to make sure that he wasn't in the way and be as inconspicuous as possible. Although did make his presence known, should Riyo had some information about T'Laara. " Riyo, I saw her collapse when she was talking to Seamus, we called for help as soon as it happened".The Irishman then waited to see if he was needed further and knew that T'Laara and the others were in the best place, for whatever this was.
