Mission 8 | Taking Flight | 2380.10The efforts to colonize Kerelia continue. As before, Starfleet is collaborating with the Sivaoans to catalog the flora, fauna, and geology of the region around Landing Zone 2. Three teams venture into the woods, including Federation News Network's Charlie Fox and her little drone Olsen. Kerelia is full of surprise and the otherwise routine surveys become complicated by unexplained presences. The geology team discovers traces that someone or something has been dragged through the bush with bootprints nearby. The flora team encounters colorful dragon-like beings, but one has been trapped in an elaborate snare. The fauna team discovers a projectile trap that all but destroys Olsen. Then, a Sivaoan member of the flora team is attacked by some unknown someone and Commander Perry decides to transport everyone up to the runabout. There, they are hailed by a hidden ship who claim responsibility for the traps and attacks. They're poachers who got what they came for but have left Kerelia worse than they found it.

Event 9 | Fracture | 2380.11In this event, we took a foray into the mirror universe. Here, the forces of the ruthless Commissioner Judy Eastman met with a group of freedom fighters led by Matthew Harmon. They met, in principle, to discuss the Thalaron weapon being built by the Kurjarians, but both factions had other plans. Harmon's Heroes (as they are known) sought out to steal the ISS Determined, Commissioner Eastman's flagship. To perform this remarkable feat, Kova Sh'qaleq and Chloe Hudson performed a dangerous spacewalk and used anesthizine gas. Seizing the Determined is a major boost to the cash-strapped rebels, and a blow to the Commissioner. Eastman attempted to bomb Harmon's ship, the Phoenix, and to kidnap the man himself. However, a warning delivered by the smuggler Ozu Saya and her associate Opal Peridot to Harmon's heroes foiled the bombing attempt. Eastman escaped with her life, but her enforcer, Sven Aune, was taken prisoner. The attempt on Harmon backfired spectacularly as well, with the Commissioner's adoptive daughter, Mabel, ultimately being taken captive instead.

Mission 8 | The Price of Peace | 2380.11
The USS Mac has been tasked with conveying the Talorian delegation led by Primary L'sho to Argus Major for talks about their entry into the Federation. The assignment is ill-fated for it was Primary L'sho against whom the Mac faced off following the discovery of the massacre on the Jupiter Star. During the night, two unlikely rendezvous occur. Journalist Charlie Fox shares secretly obtained footage of the Jupiter Star incident with Lieutenant JG Josh Niles. Elsewhere on the ship, security officer Phoebe Volante and Princess Elana, ahem, enjoy each other's company. The morning after the reception, a Talorian is found murdered. An investigation begins but little progress is made before the killer, the Talorian Relan, strikes again, attacking engineer Kaya Som. Relan seems to be a follower of the cannibalistic cult that struck the Jupiter Star. Fortunately, the attack is thwarted by the arrival of security and Relan is taken alive.

Event 10 | Shore Leave in the Twilight City | 2380.12Celladore City - a sparkling oasis of culture, relaxation and two suns that never set - and the destination for much-needed shore leave. Sadly, some people have all the luck. Sven Aune and Phoebe Volante get tangled up in an illegal underground fight club; Joshua Niles takes a bad dose of an energy boost cocktail and finds himself in a Ferengi's bedsit rebooting his prosthetic arm; and Kaya Som, Chloe Harmon, and Shavan Th'zhaar get involved in some righteous civil disobedience despite Kova Sh'qaleq's best efforts to dissuade them for their own good. Ozu Saya and her family fare much better, enjoying some fine dining. And Leanna Mazal makes new business contact.

Meanwhile aboard the Soteria, reluctant Starfleet spy Avi Moz blows her cover to deliver evidence of Tholian weapons technology. Commander Eastman and Colonel Vasser have little choice but to cooperate with each other through gritted teeth to find out who's so dead-set to destroy an ever-strained peace.

Season 2: Event 1 | Taming of the Shrew | 2381.01Once again, Frontier station is plagued by malfunctions and glitches this time caused by adorable rodents that feed on electrical systems. Station crew and station residents work together to come up with a plan on how to round them all up and then what to do with them. Also of concern was how the shrews came to come aboard. Regional problem-child Thomas Jett is suspected and his ship is tossed. Meanwhile, the crew and their allies hatch a dramatic plan to round-up and relocate the troublesome critters.

Season2: Mission 2 | Of Ends and Means | 2381.02A diplomatic delegation led by Federation judge the Honorable Estelle Roth and consisting of select U.S.S. Mac crew have been sent to planet Caldonia to mediate talks between the oppressive Caldonian majority and the Karjurian minority. [fn]The Karjurian struggle was introduced in s1.e5 "One Man's Terrorist, Another Man's Freedom Fighter."[/fn] In the balance are concessions for the Karjurians and the Federation's supply line to Trillium. The Starfleet crew must grapple with their moral objections to the Caldonian's rigid caste system. The trip also presents an opportunity to release the Caldonian shrews that had infiltrated Frontier station. [fn]s2.e1 "Taming of the Shrew"[/fn] However, that leg of the mission, led by Lt.Cmdr. Matthew Harmon is cover for something more "legally dubious" - to expose that Karjurian slave labor runs the Trillium operation. The operation goes arse-up (of course), the party, later to be known as the Caldonian Five, is taken prisoner, and the negotiations back in the capitol are abruptly recessed. The U.S.S. Mac is ordered not to interfere. To be continued…

Season 2: Event 2 | Galaxyvision | 2381.02It's the musical event of the year and the remotely rustic Frontier Station has been chosen as the venue. Acts from all over the quadrant and scores of fans have arrived to throng the Blue Beta bringing with them all the revelry and excitement of Galaxyvision's infamous spectacle. On the day of the competition, a performer called Laraya goes missing, taken by the assassin known as Phoenix who has also placed explosives on the station. [fn]Phoenix was first seen orchestrating the deaths of s1.e7 "Murder!"[/fn] A search ensues. Laraya is rescued from a shuttle rigged to explode, and Phoenix is apprehended. Meanwhile the Blue Beta's own Leanna Mazal and her band takes the top prize in Galaxyvision.

Season 2: Event 3 | Customs | 2381.03The Starfleet crew of Frontier station must work together with Klingon customs officers to smoke out a smuggling ring that's been evading regulation. The day starts on a volatile foot with spontaneous tests of fortitude in the Blue Beta bar between the Klingons and station residents. The plan is for the team to go undercover for a sting to catch the smugglers in the act, and in the process unearth evidence to finally nail the local Ferengi problem Fatax to the wall. The operation goes fairly smoothly, premised on slave-trading for farm labor. The collaborators get enough of a connection with Fatax to suit their needs, and are graced with a lucky get - the smugglers could be linked to more crimes on Cait to seal their fate. Underpinning the operation is the dread of what has happened to the Caldonia Five, still missing in the custody of the Caldonians.

Season 2: Mission 3 | Law of the Jungle | 2381.03The USS Mac sends an away team down to an unknown jungle planet in the hope of gathering samples of the vegetation for use back on the station. Unfortunately, the runabout Roundabout crashes due to interference in the atmosphere that the ship's sensors hadn't picked up. The sensors and communicators are unable to penetrate the interference, so those left aboard the ship have no idea whether the away team is safe or not. They work frantically to break through and rescue the team. Meanwhile, on the planet's surface, the away team and runabout did survive. As they attempt to fulfill their mission, they discover that the planet may not be all it seems. They have to race for the relative safety inside the downed runabout as a horde of insects marches on their position. The crew on the Mac is finally able to get help to the runabout and bring them home. The few samples they gathered go to the science department aboard Front Ear for study. This story is to be continued in Season 2: Event 4.

The Mac is sent on a humanitarian mission to the Talorian home planet Talor Prime which has been ravaged by horrible flooding and violent storms. Evacuation from coastal areas has been disrupted by locals angry at the presence of the Federation. Despite the obstacles, the crew is on their diplomatic and scientific game - they cooperate with faith leaders and discover that unusual activity in the system's sun is the cause of the unstable weather. The crew is able to use the Mac itself to redirect some radiation back into the sun to stabilize it.
