Personal History
Early Life/Pre-Starfleet Career: Left Ear was born on Sivao, but grew up mostly on Eeiauo, a sister world where her mother was a diplomat and bard. She returned to Sivao when she turned fifteen to participate in her Walk, a Sivaoan rite of passage which granted adult status upon successful completion. At this time, Sivaoans choose their own adult names. Left Ear was unusual in choosing to keep her youthful given name and choosing to-Ennien as her surname. The to-Ennien appellation was considered to be somewhat jinxed, though the camp called Ennien is a perfectly lovely place.
Even before her Walk, Left Ear had been apprenticed to a Sivaoan healer. Once her Walk was completed successfully, she apprenticed on Sivao for a couple more years before taking the opportunity to go with several other Sivaoans to the Federation space station Front Ear to aid in the development of a non-invasive colony on the planet Kerelia. She began working in the civilian infirmary on the station, studying the various Federation and other species that came through. Expanding her knowledge in this way piqued her interest in Starfleet and she decided to apply to Starfleet Academy.
Academy/Technical Academy (if Starfleet): Left Ear is doing most of her Academy coursework under the tutelage of Captain Judy Eastman, as well as other senior officers as needed for various topics. She’s only recently begun, but as Sivaoans possess eidetic memories, she should be able to finish most of the academic work quickly. The practical requirements will take a little longer.

Left Ear heard the door open as she unloaded one of her bags. Not wanting to seem overly eager, she continued putting items away. The scent that wafted in from the living room was familiar - Andorian. Left Ear had encountered several of the blue-skinned species working in the infirmary, but she wasn't well-versed in their culture. It would be interesting to learn.
When he called out, Left Ear left her bag and poked her head around the door. 'Hello!' she responded cheerfully, her ears pricking forward and tail curving around to wave in a friendly manner. 'I hope you don't mind I chose this room. I can move if you'd prefer it. I haven't unpacked everything yet.' Left Ear wanted to show herself to be adaptable and flexible right from the start.
