Personal History
Early Life/Pre-Starfleet Career: Ochira Colony was initially started by the Federation, but a virus swept through the colonists that made them violent and irrational. Although the Starfleet medical team was able to isolate and cure the virus, the damage had already been done, and the violence didn't stop. The colonists rebelled against the Federation's attempts to maintain order, and after a bloodbath Starfleet pulled its people off the planet and wrote the colony off as a loss. It wasn't long before charismatic individuals began to gather followers, and the planet was divided into a handful of 'territories' run by these rival gangs. The laws depends on the territory, and the gang leaders' moods.
Anastazia doesn't remember anything about her life before her early adolescent years. She also has no idea what caused the amnesia. In her earliest memories, she was already established and being raised by the gang that she remained with for the next couple decades. It was a good life for her. She was happy, protected, and got anything she wanted – whether she stole it or someone else stole it for her. The gang leader had always taken an interest in Anastazia, and by her early twenties she was hardly ever away from his side.
One night, he woke her up, and the building was filled with smoke and flames. The two of them made it out with a handful of others, and they fled without looking back. He secured them passage on a merchant's ship leaving the territory, and when they reached the nearest space station they were told to split up and keep running. Staz never found out what happened, why they had to flee. All she knows is that part of her life is over, and if anyone from the rival gangs finds out who she is, she's dead.
With no formal education, it's been a rough life out in the galaxy. She's worked odd jobs for latinum and supplies, booking transports when she could and stowing away when she couldn't. After a couple years she heard about the Federation station building a new colony on a previously uninhabited planet. That sounded like the perfect place to disappear where no one from her past would ever think to look for her. So, she headed for Kerelia...

Please write a brief answer to 3 of the following (a sentence or two for each is fine):
Your character's most painful experience The moment the leader of her gang told her and the others they had to split up, and could never contact each other. It was the moment she realized nothing would ever be the same again, and the first time in her life she had ever been alone.
Your character's best or favorite experience
Your character's most crucial experience Fleeing the world she grew up on, and having to figure out how to survive in a galaxy with very different rules than she's ever known before.
Who is your character's role model and why? She always admired Alpha - the gang leader - and felt special with the attention he showed her. He was strong, cunning, intelligent, and she always hoped to be as good of a leader as he was someday.
Please write a brief sample post from your character’s perspective:
The ride had been long and cramped, and she couldn't wait to dock. Woken from her slumber by the shouts of the crew as they called out routine procedures for a landing, Staz shifted behind the pile of crates, stretching the muscles in her legs and back to wake them up before she had to make a run for it. Damn, this crew was slow... it seemed to take three times as long as previous freighters to dock and pass inspection. The moment she heard the hiss of the hatch, and felt the shift in air pressure, she was surging to her feet and strolling down the corridor. "Oi! Where'd you come from?!"[/color] One man shouted after her, and she merely glanced over her shoulder with a smirk. "The same place you did!" She called back, and continued on her way out the hatch. Had they caught her, they likely would have demanded she pay fare of some sort... but everyone seemed to be too shocked that there had been a stowaway on their ship for the last several days and none of them had noticed.
The moment she stepped through the hatch into the bright sun, it became obvious why it had taken so long. Starfleet was everywhere, obviously making thorough inspections. Oh well, not her problem. Walking through the checkpoint without another word, she followed the directions to the town square, which seemed to be brimming with people of all sorts. A sly smile lit up her face as she stopped on the street corner and looked around. Yes, this planet would do nicely.
