Please write a brief answer to 3 of the following (a sentence or two for each is fine):
Your character's most painful experience: Getting accidentally hit with a hyperspanner in zero-g training, drawing blood from his temple. This was caused by a fellow enlistee being lax in the handling of their equipment. The incident required an immediate stop of the training and for Chris to be looked over by Medical. According to him, it was like breaking a bone (in terms of pain).
Your character's best or favorite experience His contributions to the post-war galaxy. He was with the Corps of Engineers for four years and in his time with them, he helped with the rebuilding process, something he takes great pride in. He feels that his contributions, no matter how small, help a galaxy heal by fixing the physical while they focused on the mental. There is no singular moment from this that Chris would rank any higher than others because, at its core, he is as equally proud of what he had done.
Your character's most crucial experience Chris’ gained his most crucial experience when he was in the Technical Curriculum in High School. They taught the benefits of keeping one’s mind focused on the task and not let it wander when others are relying on you. This would be driven home when he incurred a burn during his welding course while daydreaming of his date he had later that day. His carelessness resulted in the project being scrapped and points being deducted from his final score. Since then, he has always focused on the task assigned, not letting his mind wander.
Who is your character's role model and why? His superior during his time in S.C.O.E., Petty Officer Gregory Denfield. PO Denfield was someone that everyone respected and was someone that everyone looked up to. He listened and took suggestions from his subordinates while also being a father to his men in the off-duty time. Every person who served under him stayed under his command and never requested a transfer. Denfield is the leader that Chris aspires to be.
Please write a brief sample post from your character’s perspective:
[0430 - USS Endeavor - 1456 Days after Graduation (4 Years)]
For the last time, Chris would be donning the uniform the carried the insignia of Corps. When he re-enlisted he was informed that he would be reassigned to peacetime operations about a Starship, though it was pitched like it was a bad thing. It wasn't a bad thing, however, as Chris knew that the reason he would be assigned to a different posting was because of his efforts and the efforts of every engineer in the rebuilding of ships, stations, and planets that placed the call for assistance. For nearly four years he help the Federation and her allies rebuild but now they were reverting to a more peaceful stance and they didn't need so many active personnel in S.C.O.E. but he wasn't complaining. He learned more during his time in the Corps then most learn in a single engine room for a decade, and he knew he was an asset to wherever he was posted and was confident that he would perform well.
=A= Lt. Haley to Petty Officer McIntyre, we just received word that the Station is reading us on their sensors. We've taken the liberty of forwarding your file. We should be docked within two hours. Operations out =A=
