[Blue Beta - Promenade] At the sound of familiar voices as Ryah approached along with both Seamus and Jack, there wasn't any point in Lea even trying to pretend that she was okay. Her ankle hurt like hell and it was taking all of her resolve not to burst into tears. Although she did manage to stop cursing long enough to consider Ryah's question before she suddenly found herself being lifted by Seamus and Jack. " I don't think I can, it feels broken and hurts like hell, not as though these two would even let me try" Lea admitted with some of her usual humour directed at Seamus and Jack. Resigning herself to letting them carry her carefully to one of the booths, whilst they took care of the clean up. " This pretty much sums up how I should never of left my quarters today.... but promise me one thing, if I have to go to Sickbay, can we get a working lift?".
Tag Ozu Saya[ SCPO Melihn Ryah - Blue Beta] Ryah laughed a little bemusedly at Lea's comment, having no idea of the woman's adventure just a short time ago. Hold tight for a minute while I grab your first-aid kit. Ryah hurried to where she knew the kit was kept (common knowledge for all security personnel), and brought it back to run the enclosed tricorder over Lea's ankle. Yep, broken, she confirmed. Let me use the dermal regenerator on these cuts. The security officer applied the device to each of Lea's cuts, running it carefully back and forth until any signs of the injuries disappeared. Then she pulled out a hypospray that had a pre-loaded dosage of mild pain reliever in it. Once that was administered, Ryah pulled an odd-looking bundle out of the kit. Okay, I've never used one of these splints before, but they showed us how to put them on in training. I'm afraid it may still hurt a little, even with the pain reliever, so I'm sorry for that.Ryah unbundled the device, looking it over to get the right orientation. It was an ancient technology, but for someone who wasn't a medic or doctor, still useful for stabilizing broken limbs. As gently as she could, Ryah lifted Lea's leg and set the plasticky stuff on the bench beneath her ankle. Then she took the straps and carefully wrapped the thing loosely around the injured area. Once she was sure it was set right, she squeezed the little button that made the splint do its magic - inflating to stabilize and protect the injured ankle until it could be looked at by a doctor. Sitting back on her heels, Ryah blew out a breath and looked up at Lea. Okay, that's all I'm comfortable doing here. I think you're supposed to be able to put a little weight on that, but you can lean on me. At least sickbay's not too far. Ready to go? ---------- Tag Leanna Mazal

However it wasn't too bad thanks to the pain reliever that she had been given. " Thank you and yes I'm ready to go, this should be interesting to explain to Riyo" she said, wondering what his reaction would be as she managed to get to her feet with Ryan's help. Together they succeeded albeit slowly to exit the bar and into a working lift. Thankful for small miracles as it took them to Sickbay or so Lea hoped.

[Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Sickbay]Sven's voice from the biobed caught Rio's attention, and he was about to rush to his side when he realized the monitors showed no increase in heart rate or breath, and the words weren't making the slightest bit of sense. Sighing with relief, he relaxed once more, content to let his patient dream while the nurse scanned his shoulder, back and arm. The nurse that had tended to Sorren stared at him in surprise when the Vulcan actually complimented her. Perhaps she should run a scan of his head... "Thank you, sir," she managed to reply after a moment. As the Vulcan tried unsuccessfully to leave, she moved to the computer console on the wall, attempting to manually override the doors. The peaceful moments didn't last long, however, as the computer notified them of incoming casualties. Riyo quickly stood, only to be blocked by the nurse examining him. "We can handle it, sir. You're in no condition to help anyone yet." Riyo sighed and grumbled under his breath, taking a seat once more, wincing at the movement. They all waited... But no casualties arrived. From her position by the wall, the other nurse could hear the whir of the transporter in the corridor, followed by a couple voices. "Is everyone alright out there?" she called, trying again to override the doors.

Sorren raised a brow as the nurse spoke through the door and listened to what the others had to say on the other side. Alice responded, "Ya. We're okay. There's been some malfunctions." She stood and approached the door and found that it would not open. "It seems this door doesn't work too."Edgar sat with the twisted frames of his father. A tear was welling up in his eye and he sniffed. "I'm going to try and override the door." Alice said. There was some clanking and banging. "Nope, she ain't gunna budge. I think it's going to take a person on each side."Sorren stepped up. "Allow me to help" he placed his hands upon the door. "Is that you Sorren?" Alice asked. "It would not be anyone else." he replied. "On the count of three. One, Two, Three." using his superior Vulcan strength, combined with Alice's they were able to pry the door open just enough for a slim human to pass through. "Why is crewman Ragde crying?" Sorren asked Alice. Alice shrugged. "We were almost twisted up in the transporter." completely missing the fact that it was the busted frames that had Edgar so upset. Sorren thought about that for a moment. A logical conclusion formed. "There seems to be many malfunctions going on with this station, and that Andorrian is using a few of them as a cover for her nefarious plots."Alice gave Sorren a strange look. "What Andorian?""Excuse me, Creman." Sorren said pushing past the door, than her, turning down the corridor ignore Edgar who sniffled once more. "Pull it together man." Alice said to upset man. I'd like you to remain here for a little longer just to make sure there aren't any surprises, and you'll need to avoid heavy lifting for a few days." Focusing on the minor commotion at the other side of the room, he breathed a sigh of relief when they finally got the doors open and Sorren left. At least that was one less headache for him to deal with that day... He cringed sharply as the nurse started pressing on the swollen areas of his arm, shoulder and back before pressing a hypospray in strategic locations. Riyo hated being a patient... The other nurse breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed against the wall momentarily when Sorren disappeared into the corridor. That had gone better than it could have, at least. When the other woman asked what Sven was doing in Sickbay, she glanced over her shoulder before answering. "He was injured by one of the malfunctions, but the doctor took care of him already. She weaved through chaotic mess of people and scurrying rodents. “Thank you,” she said to Mabel as she approached and saw the captured creature. Picking it up, T’Laara gripped it carefully so as not to hurt it, but firmly by the scruff of the neck. “This one will not get away.” It was too bad there wasn’t another jar to put it in, but since the replicators couldn’t be trusted she would just have to hold it until she got to the lab. With no time to waste, she started carrying it back towards the door. While T'Laara was not technically one of the crew, she answered Captain Eastman anyway, since she happened to be in close proximity. She probably didn't have to explain what they both had learned since they parted ways, but the captain would know best who to assign to help. "These creatures have infested the station and are causing the malfunctions. I am taking this one to the science lab to identify it and find out anything I can that will help us deal with them."tag Judith Eastman , soft tag everyone else in ops

[T’Laara - Engineering -> Ops] “Hey!” T’Laara called out when Mott snatched the jar she was holding out to show George. Maybe he had heard and taken offense to the idea of bringing it to the science lab. Of course, she wasn’t actually going to hurt it, they just needed to run some scans, and she could have given it back to him when they were done. But apparently it had been too much to expect him to behave logically. Before she could chase after him, the boy was gone, and Chief Ozu approached her and asked if she was a scientist. “Yes, I am. If I get a chance to study one of the creatures, I can identify them. Then we can determine what exactly they are doing here and can devise a plan to get rid of them.” Maybe a botanist wasn’t exactly what they needed, but she did have general knowledge of biology and the natural world, and some of what she knew could be applied to animals as well. She had overheard the conversation on the comms. Apparently there was no time to waste. “Very well.” T’Laara turned and quickly followed the other Vulcan woman to Ops. A few minutes later, the doors to Ops swept open. Inside was chaos. They had indeed found plenty of the creatures. Now, they just needed to isolate a few, and keep them. “We need to catch one of those for testing,” she called out to the crew members already present in case they already had, or had anything that could help. {Spoiler}{Click here for a breakdown of Captain Eastman's Staff} Judith Eastman-Williams, PhD Mabel HenriksenRoland L. [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Ops, Front Ear Station ] As the doors of the turbolift parted, the Andorian had to admit she was surprised that she and the captain hadn't fallen to their deaths in that tube. Of course, her theory that the safest place was presently alongside the captain had proven to be correct. Peering into Ops, she could see that the live chaos matched what she'd seen on the screen. She stepped into the room, and admittedly had felt a hint of disappointment. As a civilian, she wasn't always privy to most parts of the station, and peering behind this particular curtain didn't seem to live up to the mystique it once held. It was possible that had something to do with the Starfleet officers chasing after the scurrying rodents all around the room. There were several junior officers present along with Harmon and now a pair of Vulcans. Ozu was someone that Kova was familiar with. The other Vulcan, well, Kova had seen her around the station, often keeping company with Shavan. Well, it seemed that they'd let anyone up here these days. Kova looked down to see one of the rodents had taken refuge upon her boot. She lifted her foot and gave a little kick into the air, sending the creature a few meters through the air. "How charming," Kova said flatly.

[Outside Engineering] Tom looked at the blue child as he claimed that the item belonged to him. He might believe that the Starfleet Officers in the Engineering might disagree. He was not familiar with Bolian youth and their slang. Jett imagine that it was the same feeling that he gave with other when he used his ancient earth slang. Tom smiled and instead of getting mad or debating he could give him an idea. “I know the feeling that you believe it’s yours. Word of the wise next time when you own something just grab a marker and write Property of ….” . Tom stop for a second as he hoped the child would give his name. Instead of flat out asking he was incorporating with this statement. He did not know what the jar held but he thought the image of the kid with a marker writing his name all over the Station would be a hilarious sight to see. Since the child was not running away, Tom decided to take a knee. The idea would be instead of towering over the child he could be in eye level so he could see his eyes. He looked at the Jar and instead of just trying to grab it. He pointed “Since it’s yours what’s in the jar and what’s its name?”. He was sure he would have at least a name for what was in the jar or he would make one up. He would try and tap the shoulder and say “I am sure the people in Engineering would also want to play with the jar as well and you can’t have the jar in your hand and eat a huge slice of pizza” Tom then wondered “You know what Pizza is? The nectar of the goods. The ultimate delicious food. No childhood is complete without pizza” He finished with a smile. Avi Moz

"Ow!" he cursed loudly, and the nurse immediately let go, realizing he had accidentally grabbed the wrong shoulder. "I'm sorry sir, but let us take care of it!" He was clearly getting frustrated with having a doctor as a patient in the middle of a station-wide emergency, and Riyo couldn't blame him. He sat on the biobed with his jaw clenched, eyes locked on the door, not daring to move lest the nurse decide to sedate him. What was wrong with Lea? The nurse that had treated Sorren moved back over to the door, and managed to pry it open a little further, but not much. Glancing past the SCPO she saw Leanna with her ankle in an emergency splint. {Quoted Post} [Outside Engineering] Tom looked at the blue child as he claimed that the item belonged to him. He would try and tap the shoulder and say “I am sure the people in Engineering would also want to play with the jar as well and you can’t have the jar in your hand and eat a huge slice of pizza,” Tom then wondered. “You know what Pizza is? The nectar of the goods. The ultimate delicious food. No childhood is complete without pizza.” He finished with a smile. [ Mott Moz | Leaving the vicinity of Engineering likely towards the Promenade ]Avi continued to regard Jett with a slow-blinking blank pre-teenage stare. He wasn't a baby. "Mott Moz," Mott said flatly in the expectant gap after 'property of'. He was about to insist that the jar and its inhabitant was indeed his and that he'd been in Engineering to show the engineers, but then the human said some magic words. At the mention of a new food, Mott raised his eyebrows. He loved trying new foods, especially something described as ultimate deliciousness. Unlike perhaps other species, Bolian children were encouraged to take candy from strangers. "I want a pizza," he said relaxing and showing keen interest despite himself. Once again, Mott's mission of the day had changed. Forgotten was his goal to find and impress his mom, gone were his ambitions to help the station with his scientific discovery, vanished were his worries about getting in trouble with the Head of Engineering. All he cared about now was pizza. He started to move away from Engineering. "Come on, huh! Let's see that pizza!"Thomas Jett

[Lift to Sickbay - Front Ear] When the lift stopped on the right deck, there was definitely some relief released as Lea wasn't sure if she could of coped, if the lift had gotten stuck again. Although the broken ankle certainly topped what she was now calling the day from hell. However as they approached Sickbay, it wasn't difficult to ignore the half opened doors or Sorren as the Vulcan security passed them. Then again she wasn't exactly in the mood for pleasantries even with the pain reliever and couldn't wait to sit down and take the weight off of it. There was one positive in all of this as she sensed Riyo, but who had instantly called out her name before she caught discomfort and pain. She hoped that he was okay and concern for her Imzadi outweighed her own. She did, however reached out to him via their link as Ryah asked for help. " I'm okay Imzadi, it's just a broken ankle, you'll see me momentarily". Then as a Nurse approached and made a suggestion as to what she needed Lea to do after opening the doors a little more. The Betazoid nodded and grimaced slightly as she followed Ryah and squeezed herself through. Immediately looking for Riyo and smiled reassuringly at him.

|Sick Bay || lt. cmdr. Sven Aune | lt. (jr.grd.) Sorren | Crewman Alice Duff | Crewman Edgar Ragde |Sven was waking up. He felt drowsy, and parched. And a sense of utter confusion was upon him. He groaned and tried to move his arm but found that it was stiff and swollen. "Where am I?" he asked to anyone at large. She turned her attention to the nurse. "Is everyone okay in there..... Why is Sven. I mean commander Aune in there?"Tag Jovireh Velal [Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Sickbay]When he heard Sven asking a far more intelligible question, Riyo glanced back up at the monitor to see his heart rate had increased. While the nurse was busy gathering the instruments needed to treat his own arm, the doctor moved over to where Sven would be able to see him as he spoke. "You're in Sickbay. Had a nasty accident due to a malfunction in the gravity plating, but I've repaired all the damage. I'd like you to remain here for a little longer just to make sure there aren't any surprises, and you'll need to avoid heavy lifting for a few days." The nurse cleared his throat behind him, and Riyo sighed. "Get some more rest, Commander. You'll be out of here before you know it."Relucantly sitting back down on the other biobed, he winced as the other man lifted his arm to have access to the full injury. Focusing on the minor commotion at the other side of the room, he breathed a sigh of relief when they finally got the doors open and Sorren left. He'll probably be discharged soon." She could only hope there weren't any more malfunctions in Sickbay. Losing power at the worst possible moment had been bad enough. Thankfully the engineering team were quick and left the generator for them if it happened again.
Tag Sven Aune [Blue Beta - Promenade] Leanna was in far too much pain to acknowledge the bemused chuckle that Ryah made, not that she blamed the security officer as her comment about the lift did sound funny. Although wasn't in the mood to relive that particular tale or find it hilarious as it was still a little raw. If they were going to Sickbay, the thought of seeing Riyo did perk her up a smidge as Ryah told her to hold tight whilst she grabbed the med kit. Her overcautioness had paid off in having more than just one medkit placed at strategic points and nodded as Ryah left her briefly. Trying not to curse anymore especially when she returned and confirmed that her ankle was broken. Sitting as still as she could so Ryah could treat her cuts and apply the splint, grimacing slightly as her ankle was coerced into it.

Tag Sven Aune [ SCPO Melihn Ryah - Sickbay] Thankfully, they encountered no difficulties reaching sickbay. The turbolift deposited them on the correct deck, and Ryah thought about what a disaster it would have been if it had gotten stuck. She gave Lea a speculative glance, wondering if she'd already had some adventure with a 'lift. As they slowly approached the doors, Ryah could see that they were standing partially open, in fact, just barely open. Hopefully, it would be enough space for both her and Lea to fit through. A Vulcan was striding down the corridor in the opposite direction. Leading Lea, Ryah turned sideways and slipped halfway through the opening of the doors. Hello? she called, noting several people hovering around. I've got someone injured here. I could use a hand.---------- Tag Leanna Mazal , Jovireh Velal and Sven Aune [ SCPO Melihn Ryah - Sickbay] Thankfully, they encountered no difficulties reaching sickbay. Before he could jump off the bed again, however, the nurse who was attempting to treat his injury grabbed his shoulder to restrain him. "If you can get through the door between the two of us, I can help you to a bed," she told the Betazoid. It might hurt to take the couple steps through the opening, but at least she was upright, and in the right place.

Tag Jovireh Velal Ozu Saya |Sick Bay || lt. cmdr. Sven Aune | crewman Alice Duff | crewman Edgar Ragde.Sven rubbed the back of his neck. His huge muscles bulged, but he winced in pain. It all felt really tight and tender. He looked over at the doctor. His arm as swollen. He sat up and moved to the edge of the bed. He saw Alice's wild bushy red hair, the pie faced Edgar, and the SCPO Rayh. The doors to sickbay were barely open and he watched Lea squeeze through. "Doctor," he started, "Do you need anything? You look like your arm got stuck is a hyperbaric chamber." He tried to stand and was immediately greeted with a wave of dizziness and nausa. He sat down hard upon the bio bed. He motioned to the nurse to come near. "Tell me exactly what happened to me, and the injury." he then looked at the backup power battery. "And what's going on.""Chief Rayh." he called to her. "What is the tactical situation for the station?" he then looked to Alice. "Crewmen Duff, get that door open all the way." She nodded and went to look at the door. It really wasn't her area. But security had ways of overriding doors. He the looked to Edgar, who was holding the twisted wreck of his glasses. he sniffed. "Crewman Ragde?"The piefaced kid looked up. "Oh, I'm sorry sir. It's just. These glasses belonged to my father. And now..."Sven observed them. They weren't broken in the traditional sense. They looked as if the individual components were converged into a large blob. "How did that happen?" Sven asked. "The transporter did it.""That sounds pretty serious. I hope you informed engineering. It wouldn't do well to have anyone splinched."Edgar shook his head. "They are aware.""Miss Lea, are you okay?" the security officer addressed the proprietor of the Blue Beta. [Runabout USS Float - Cockpit] K'Dex felt better than ever, though minorly anxious about his return. His lapse from duty due to medical issues he believed were now fully cured after his past months of treatment. His personality more firm in a healthy manner, he was interested to see how the differences would be taken by the crew. He was appreciative of Star Fleet for reassigning him back to the Front Ear and Mac, as it had been a chaos he'd lived with long enough to feel slightly more comfortable with than starting anew. He wondered if Ms. Hill had something to do with his reassignment being accepted, but didn't honestly mind or care.
As the ship pulled out of warp just inside of sensor range of the station, he felt a small grin come across as he observed the station as the ship continued it's automatic approach. K'Dex tapped on the console to hail the station.

His eyes squinted briefly as he looked at the station, and noticed the exterior lights out in an irregular pattern. He wondered if they were doing maintenance on one of hte lines, but from what he'd last remembered, none of those lights were even on the same EPS partitions. His ear flicked with curiosity.

[ T’Laara - Ops] T’Laara looked up as she heard her own name, and spotted Mabel motioning to her from across the crowded room. I am taking this one to the science lab to identify it and find out anything I can that will help us deal with them."[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Ops, Front Ear Station ] As the doors of the turbolift parted, the Andorian had to admit she was surprised that she and the captain hadn't fallen to their deaths in that tube. {Click here for a breakdown of Captain Eastman's Staff} Judith Eastman-Williams, PhD Mabel HenriksenRoland L. Jenkins [Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Staff - Ops]Yes, this was exactly what it looked like. They had a large infestation of unclear origin, but self-evident nature. Judy regretted donning one of her favored skirts, instead of the more common pants, as one rodent began to climb up her calf. She kicked it off promptly, but it was unpleasant, and brought up the real risk of a bite. Well, if she wanted to keep her gams free of infection, the best way to do so was to do her job - of making sure all the needed jobs got done. "Ms. T'Laara, take Mabel with you, and we'll send an engineer your way soon," she issued the first directive. "Ms. Sh'qaleq, Chief, why don't you work from up here on a damage-mitigation strategy? We need to coordinate on keeping the lights on, literally and metaphorically speaking.""Mr. Harmon..."[Runabout USS Float - Cockpit] K'Dex felt better than ever, though minorly anxious about his return. The mic on the headset, it seemed, still worked. Judy paused for a moment, recognizing the voice on the other end. With engineering stretched so thin, who better to send to work with T'Laara than a fresh one? "That's K'Dex. Welcome him back, and have him report to Henriksen in the lab," she said, making a point of recognizing the old-new crewmember's voice, and of courtesy. =A= "Captain Eastman wants you to come to the science lab as soon as you dock, and report to Lieutenant Henriksen for duty. Jenkins stood back beside the Captain, having set her jacket on the Captain's chair.

[LCDR Matthew Harmon - Ops]
A varied cast of characters soon arrived in Ops following Harmon's....discovery. Luckily Mabel had managed to catch one of the little rodent bastards so they didn't have to further embarrass themselves trying to herd one into captivity. "Of course he did," Harmon said gruffly to Jenkins as he reported about Jett. He glared at Kova as she entered the room, and then dusted off and tugged downwards on his uniform to adjust it before responding to the Capitan. "A lot of these little fu....uh, furry bastards," he said cutting himself off before getting too profane, "And that Thomas Jett has docked with us twice in this period. He's the only one we've classified as red. Perhaps he...uh I mean his ship, picked up something unpleasant in some squalid, seedy port."
