Personal History
Early Life/Pre-Starfleet Career: Isaiah was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His father was a physician at a local hospital and his mother worked at the Utopia Planitia Shipyards. Isaiah grew up with what he felt was a fairly mundane upbringing. As a teenager he played sports, both baseball and parrises squares. He initially had ambitions of becoming a doctor like his father, however, that eventually changed.
Academy/Technical Academy (if Starfleet): There was a great deal of optimism in Isaiah's pursuit of becoming a doctor just like his father, until he revealed that he wanted to do so by enrolling into Starfleet. It wasn't what his parents had in mind, but Isaiah initially had their support, until it was found that the Dominion had infiltrated Earth in 2372. His father insisted that he withdraw from the Academy, but Isaiah resisted. It was also during that year when he determined that his heart wasn't in medicine, but in Physics and many of its various avenues.
The rest of Isaiah's time at the academy was spent dedicated to his studies, while at the same time watching some of his fellow cadets being called to the front lines. Just as graduation approached, the Dominion War reached its end. It was a small blessing, but Isaiah was able to begin his career as most Starfleet personnel hope to do: as an explorer.
Previous Assignments (if applicable):Daystrom Institute of Technology, Mars. (2375-2376) Isaiah was assigned to the Daystrom Institute on Mars where he assisted a former (Academy) professor, Commander Jonas Wells, with a project examining a theory in transwarp technology.
USS Ganymede, Luna-Class.(2376-2380) Isaiah participated in his first multi-year deep space exploration, though it did include a brief survey of the Badlands as it got underway. The ship also participated in patrolling a portion of Cardassian space to investigate a possible Tzenkethi incursion.

Please write a brief answer to 3 of the following (a sentence or two for each is fine):
Your character's most painful experience
Isaiah's most painful experience was the first time that he made an assessment that resulted in a fellow officer losing their life. He concluded that the members of an away team could successfully transport through a coronal mass ejection with modification to the main deflector. However, an unaccounted for refraction at the pole of the planet further scrambled the signal resulting in only two of the away team members surviving the emergency transport.
Your character's best or favorite experience
His assignment to the transwarp project at the Daystrom Institute has been his favorite experience. Having the opportunity to participate by examining the technology and attempting to establish a working theory for integration into Starfleet's current propulsion system was nothing short of riveting.
Your character's most crucial experience
His most crucial experience occurred when he decided to pursue a career in Starfleet despite his father's protests. Up until that point, he had always had his parents support in all that he did. For him, it was the pivotal moment that he stepped out on his own.
Who is your character's role model and why?
Commander Jonas Wells is Isaiah's role model, as he inspired Isaiah to devote his attention to physics rather than medicine. He noticed Isaiah's potential and challenged him to pursue it, stating that even if he failed, he would learn something and he wouldn't find himself always wondering why or what if.

[Main Shuttlebay]
A low groan left his lips as he began to stir. As his eyes opened, he could feel the coolness of the deck against his cheek. He blinked a few time, attempting to bring his surroundings back into focus. His eyes soon focused on the dark object in the center of the room. There was now a glowing ring hovering just above it. The sight of the object began to jar his memory, forcing him to recall the moments before the blackout.
They had received orders from the Bridge to examine the artifact that they had beamed into shuttlebay. They believed it had been a probe and that it had been dormant. Yet, from what he could see it appeared to be anything but dormant. He pushed himself up and scanned the room once more. He saw the other members of his team either still out cold or just beginning to stir. His eyes also found the tricorder near him, face down. He picked it up, and tapped the buttons. It still appeared to be functioning. He turned it towards the object to see what readings he could detect.
"Report." Isaiah turned briefly to look in the direction of the Chief Science officer, Lt. Commander Jordan. She was just getting to her feet, but appeared to struggling to maintain her balance. She braced herself against the bulkhead, and for now that would have to do.
Isaiah's eyes looked at his tricorder, and his brow furrowed. "That can't be right," he mused. He looked again, and then turned the tricorder on himself and compared the readings. He repeated the action by next scanning Lt. Commander Jordan and then T'Po. "I don't believe it."
"What is it Quinn?" Jordan asked.
"This machine appears to be mimicking a neural pattern. There aren't any life signs of any sort, but they appear to mimic actual neural activity. It also appears that our own neural patterns are falling into sync with the object's patterns," he reported.
Suddenly, T'Po sat up and began to recite something in a language that neither Quinn or Jordan had ever heard. Yet, it sounded like it made sense. "You will hear our tale from the beginning," Jordan recited. Suddenly, there was a flash of imagery and for moment, the shuttlebay disappeared, replaced with the sight of a woman smiling at him. She had lavender eyes, long black hair and wore a cream gown. As she moved towards him it was almost as if she were floating. As she reached out to touch the side of his face, Isaiah felt it. He recoiled slightly only to have the woman disappear with T'Po now standing in her place and them back in the shuttlebay. T'Po then opened her mouth to release a bloodcurdling scream before collapsing to the floor. The object now had a yellow glow hovering above it. Lt. Commander quickly tapped her comm badge to call for Sickbay.
