[Ens. Syl O'Connell - Caldonia - Prison Camp][Approximately one week after 'Of Ends and Means'] Another day's work done... How many had that been now? Time was a blur here. The only markers were the routine - lights on and guards yelling to wake them up and pass out the food, guards yelling to move them to the mines to work, guards yelling to get them back to their cell to eat, lights out to sleep. Syl followed the line through the cell door, taking the bowl of mush that was handed to her in spite of her stomach turning at the sight of it. Whatever it was... it was all they got, and thus was all that was keeping them alive. Thankfully the Kurjarians hadn't been giving them any problems. Word had spread that they had been captured while trying to help, and while none of the ones they had talked to knew where Solin was, they had been promised multiple times that they would help find her. It seemed like now it was just a matter of gathering intelligence about the security and the layout. Moving to the corner where the five of them normally gathered at the end of the day, she leaned back against the wall and slid on shaking legs to the ground. Syl had avoided beatings, but no one could avoid the heavy labor. Her body ached constantly, and she couldn't tell if the injuries she'd received in the capture had started to heal or were getting worse. Lifting her hand, she tenderly touched the back of her head, feeling the scab beneath the mat of dried blood in her hair. It was tender and warm to the touch... infected most likely. Which meant it was only a matter of time before the infection spread into her bloodstream. The others were likely in similar condition. They were running out of time, and there'd been no sign of Starfleet. Harmon had been right... rescue wasn't an option for them.

[Charlie Fox - The Pit, Dalab Mountains, Caldonia] Approximately one week following the events of S2 M2: Of Ends and Means
The toilets were literally holes in the ground. There were three in a row here against the wall of the 'sanitation station'. Sanitation. There was nothing sanitary about it, and each crew had to take turns in emptying the contents of those holes from an apparatus one level directly below. It was a step up from having to go in a bucket in the corner of their cell, Charlie supposed, but it was no less gross.
She'd gotten over her disgust days ago.
She trudged along, forming part of the fairly orderly queue to use the facilities. There wasn't a part of her that was clean, and the outfit she'd so carefully chosen before their excursion a week ago was almost unrecognisable. A week... Was that all it had been? She couldn't help but think that she should be keeping better track, but it was difficult to make herself care at that moment. Her eyes focused forward, looking at nothing. The bruises around them spoke to the multiple jabs she'd taken from the barrells of various Caldonian guard weapons, and the slight discomfort to her knee had blossomed over seven days into an obvious limp. Her lips, once red, and cheeks, once rosy with life and health, were pale. Charlie looked haunted. She felt like it wouldn't be long before she would be doing some haunting herself.
There was one task before her. Get to the top of that queue, take care of her business, and then get back to the others for a spot of slop and a chat. It was truly the highlight of her day. So consumed was she with thinking of nothing else, that she didn't notice the hush falling over those in the toilet area. Sensing something, but far too late, she looked up from the spot on the ground in front of her. She was alone.
And then she wasn't. A heavy weight crashed into her from behind, forcing her against a wall. Her forehead smacked painfully and she let out a subdued cry, which faded when she felt the sharp pinch of something dangerous being pressed into her side.
"Who are you."
The sound was a growl, this voice meant business.
"I'm Charlie," she ground out, sweat already tingling, making its presence known around her hairline and temples. "Just... just take the paper." She tried to move her arm so she could point toward her back pocket, were the scant squares of tissue that she'd been saving up were stuffed. It was a valuable commodity, though prized most highly by her own group. The Kurjarians had long since grown accustomed to a lack of loo roll.
"How do you know my name."
It seemed the woman with what Charlie could only assume was some manner of knife or shiv, had no interest in her sanitary wares. "What?" She couldn't think. Her brain was slow, her forehead was throbbing, and she was sure the woman had cut her. She had no idea who this person was, or why she was picking on the weak, harmless little human. "I have no idea who you are!"
A hand snaked up into her loose, knotted hair, and closed into a fist. Charlie gasped as her assailant tugged. "You and your foreign friends keep asking about me. That has to stop."
The penny dropped: Solin.

[ Kova Sh'qaleq - The Pit, Dalab Mountains, Caldonia] Approximately one week after the events of S2 M2: Of Ends and MeansIt was routine that kept you sane in a place like this. As long as you focused on routine and kept your head on a swivel, you'd be all right. The moment you began to think about the time you've spent here, or the people outside of this hell-hole, that's when you started to lose your mind. Kova wasn't sure how the Fleeters would fare. Probably just as well as most. They were used to performing routine duties. There was hope for them to adapt. Charlie? Kova sighed. This couldn't have been what the woman had signed on for. Why the Federation hadn't made more noise to get her released was a travesty. Weren't the press supposed to be protected from crap like this? Kova limped away from the dispensary of gruel they received daily. She had made her way back to the area where they typically sat, but made one stop at a group of Kurjarians huddled on the floor. "Javar," Kova said gaining the attention of the group, though one in particular. It was obvious in their eyes that this was a moment he was dreading. "Today's your lucky day." Kova held her bowl down, and after a few moments, the Kurjarian used his hand to shovel some of his gruel into Kova's bowl, giving the Andorian a hearty helping. With a nod, Kova stood and began to move towards her own sitting area. The first person she saw there was Syl. The plan was for them to stick together as much as possible. The boys weren't currently in sight, and neither was Charlie. Kova continued to limp towards the pilot. At some point she supposed she should tell Syl thank you for resetting her knee. Kova's leg did feel better, but not by much. It had been set back into place, but it was also still swollen. Being on it for as many hours as Kova had been hadn't done the Andorian many favors. Without the proper rest, she could expect that her leg likely wouldn't heal properly. And their Caldonian captors certainly didn't believe in the concept of a day off. Was gratitude even still a thing? Making it to the wall, Kova carefully lowered herself to the ground. She used her hand to scoop around the gruel, partially checking to make certain that Javar hadn't put a pebble or worse in the slop. It wasn't that Kova was looking to make it a habit of bullying some of the other Kurjarians for their food, but Andorian's had a higher metabolism, and required a bit more sustenance than most species. It wasn't her fault if some of the Kurjarians decided to be a bit more hospitable towards her. Of course, the rumor about how Yadin had lost a finger trying to take Kova's gruel had gone a long way in building her some cred. Why not take advantage of it? "Charlie's not here yet?" Kova asked. Her eyes scanned the area, and there didn't seem to be any sign of her. She could have assumed the woman had been ahead of her, and therefore, probably should have arrived before Kova had. It was possible she was with the boys. Perhaps Harmon had cornered her with another long-winded speech about finding Solin. As far as Kova was concerned, Solin could freeze in whatever cavern of hell Uzaveh[fn]Andorian deity[/fn] had chosen for her. The woman's name had been a curse from the moment Kova had heard it uttered. Hearing that name had certainly led to the stellar accommodations they were experiencing now.

[Shavan Th’zhaar - The Pit, Caldonia - Approximately one week after S2M2] Days passed. As planned, Shavan kept alert, observing as much as he could about the Pit, and they now had a much better sense of what life here was like. If it could be called life. He had never been so exhausted, and his whole body ached. On top of being overworked and near starving, his fractured ribs only felt worse. He had managed to avoid any more beatings, but the skin underneath the shock collar was raw and burnt from repeated use. Still, he was more determined than ever to get out and find a way to make the Caldonians pay for this. His thoughts had one focus: endure and survive. Just like always. Whatever the cost. In developing the escape plan and gaining a reputation among the other prisoners, Shavan’s strategy was simple; where there were wants, there were opportunities for profit. That meant to start with, forming a rapport, and trading for the information they needed and anything else that could be of value. Unfortunately, the gruel was about the only thing he had to exchange, but he’d found that the Kurjarians were much more talkative with some incentive. And he had the willingness to fight, and protection of the group to back it up if need be. He’d also swapped the shirt he’d been wearing on arrival for filthy rags and the shiv now concealed in his boot. Right now, however, Shavan simply took his allotted food and moved on. It wouldn’t do seem too overeager.. and he was starving. Though it took all of his effort to not show it, he could barely stand. Spotting Kova and Syl already in their corner, he walked over and quickly sank to the floor beside them. Wordlessly he started to eat while dully watching the movements in the cell in front of them. soft tag Syl O'Connell Kova Sh'qaleq

[Matthew Harmon - The Pit, Dalab Mountains, Caldonia]
He had always known that rescue was unlikely. But deep down, Harmon still held out hope that the Captain and crew would find some way to save them. However, it very quickly became clear that if they were to leave this place alive it would be of their own accord. It was hard to tell how much time had passed. Every day was the same thing. Wake up, get beaten, mine, get beaten, eat, dig, get beaten, eat, get beaten, sleep, and repeat. At least that's what it felt like to Harmon. They targeted him, even for things others didn't seem to be attacked so harshly for. He figured that the guards must have been under orders to make his life even more difficult, probably because he was identified as the 'leader'. The power of spite compelled him, however. He would not allow himself to be broken. Wouldn't give them the satisfaction. And besides, the group couldn't afford to lose any of them.
The Kurjarians at least didn't give them much problem generally. Most kept away either out of fear, suspicion, or a desire to keep their heads down. Others seemed to appreciate the solidarity of some 'Federationers', as they called them, at least attempting to stand up for them. Though Kova stealing their lunches didn't help endear them much further. Harmon had been working hard to cultivate whatever favours and friendships he could. Pretty early on he had traded his clothes for information and some filthy rags, like Shavan, which by now had a number of noticeable blood stains here and there from the many beatings. He'd also managed to ingratiate himself with two modest rival prison gangs by helping mediate a dispute between them and thus saving them from whatever punishment that the guards might have imposed for being too disorderly. By now with the aid of sympathetic and indebted prisoners he had mostly mapped out the guards routines for the areas they spent most of their time. He spent much of his time observing the guards movements and actions so he could better predict them when needed. He also observed the other prisoners, trying to figure out the various relationships and personalities that existed in case any of that could come in handy in the future.
Once he'd finished his people watching for the day he headed to the spot the group would meet in daily. He'd lost track of time and was late, though that was easy to do in 'The Pit'. It seemed he wasn't the only one. Charlie was nowhere to be seen. "Anyone seen Charlie?" he asked as he approached. "Maybe we should go look for her," he said, concerned she'd gotten into trouble. She should have been there by now.

[Ens. Syl O'Connell - Caldonia - Prison Camp]Kova was the first to approach, her blue skin easy to spot as she waded through the sea of Kurjarians. She was still limping, and Syl felt bad there wasn't more she could do for her. At least her attempt to relocate the joint had been successful, so there was a reduced chance of the other woman needing surgery when they got out of there. Matt's shot shoulder, Shavan broken ribs and her own fractured arm she wasn't able to do anything for. At least some of those injuries seemed to have started healing on their own. Or they were all just getting used to pain. Syl offered Kova a tired smile as the other woman sat next to her. When asked about Charlie, she just shrugged. "Thought I saw her leaving the pit. Maybe she has a hot date." There were any number of reasons the reporter could have made a detour on the way back to the cell. Though a 'hot date' likely wasn't one of them. Shavan was the next to join them, quiet as ever, and Syl gave him a small nod of greeting. She was trying to let go of discomfort around the men, or at the very least be less obvious about it. They were all in this together, and if they were going to make it out they needed to trust each other. Matt walked up soon after, and also inquired about Charlie. Must be nice to be missed, she thought bitterly, but quickly shoved that thought from her mind. Even though she was the newest to the group, they hadn't been treating her like an afterthought or tag-along, so there was no point in being bitter about them being friends before this happened. But she was exhausted and in pain, and it was getting more difficult by the day to keep her emotions resembling some sort of rationality. She didn't respond to him, and turned her gaze to her bowl, dipping her fingers in the supposedly-nutritious mush. If someone wanted to go look for Charlie - which, rationally, was a good idea - then she would stay there to keep their spot in case the other woman made it back on her own.

[Charlie Fox - "Facilities", The Pit]Solin.Charlie felt dizzy. Tiny pink-pricks of black began crowding the corners of her vision, threatening her with unconsciousness. Panic surged within her; she had to do something. "Jeren says hi." The hand that gripped her hair loosened, the sharp feeling at her side fell away. This was her chance. Scrunching her eyes shut she braced her hands against the wall and then pushed with all her remaining might backwards. It wasn't much, Charlie hadn't been the heftiest of individuals before getting thrown in prison, so a week with only gruel hadn't exactly helped her core strength. But it was enough to surprise her assailant, and for good measure she threw her head backwards, hoping to connect. Solin cursed and scrambled backward for a moment, hand still holding the shiv rising to her face. Charlie took the opportunity to free herself completely from the Kurjarian's less than pleasant personal space. To her credit, Solin recovered quickly, but Charlie, even with warm blood from the gash on her forehead streaming into her eyes, was alive for the first time in seven days. She raised her hands with speed, but her mouth was speedier. "Stop. I'm a friend to the cause. We all are." Solin had the weapon raised and was already beginning her charge. "I was the last friendly face your husband saw before the Feds locked him away for life."Harsh. But true. And it had the desired effect. She'd stopped and was looking at Charlie, still furious, and annoyingly not at all injured from their brief tussle, but Solin's hands were left hanging in the air while her brain rushed to catch up. "Arav must have mentioned us. We're supposed to be here to help you. But now it seems that we can help each other. How nice is that? Want to braid my hair?" And with that, Charlie turned her face and emptied the pitiful contents of her stomach onto the stony ground. She wiped her forehead with her filthy sleeve, still not daring to waste the precious toilet paper squares. She had her priorities, though at that moment having a quick chat with Solin was pretty high on that list. [Cells, The Pit]Approx. ten minutes laterCharlie entered, looking as battered as she felt. She wordlessly held out her hand to the guard-attendant person, expecting her bowl of slop. He shook his head 'no', and then grinned. "Too late." He raised a finger and pointed at the floating, neon sign that consisted of several Kurjarian glyphs. She'd missed feeding time at the zoo. She would have frowned, but she'd figured out about twenty seconds into her conversation with Solin that such a move would result in immense pain. So instead she clenched her jaw, turned, and approached their corner. Once in the relative safety of the group's space she lowered herself to the floor and stretched out on her back, revealing the Kurjarian woman behind her. "I found Solin," she introduced, waving a limp hand toward her. Then she turned her head to look at the others, eyes resting on O'Connell - no, Syl - for a moment. "Turns out she's not very nice," she stage-whispered to her conspiratorially. Solin herself grimaced, but she didn't pay any more attention to the horizontal reporter. Instead her dark eyes scanned the group. "I am indeed Solin." She regarded the man the others of her kind had identified as the group's leader, though her stare moved on toward the blue one; the one who had been scoring extra food from the others. Surely this one was the true leader. "Speak."

[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Cells, The Pit, Dalab Mountains, Caldonia] Syl recalled that she had seen Charlie leave the pit. So, she hadn't fallen out due to fatigue or injury from work. That was promising. However, the suggestion that Charlie may have found a hot date was what concerned Kova. She knew that the comment had been made in jest. A human need to alleviate tense situations with humor. In Kova's estimation it was ill-timed. "For her sake, hopefully not." the Andorian replied. With the arrival of the others, one-by-one, Kova's observation of Charlie's absence slowly began to grow into concern. The first to arrive after Kova had been Shavan. Kova was convinced that he, likely more than any of them, had the best chance at surviving. He may stand out in a crowd, but he always seemed to find a way to hide in plain sight. Finally, there was Harmon, whom seemed to ask where Charlie was as well. He recognized the potential danger that the reporter was in and suggested that they should probably look for her. Luckily, it remained only as a suggestion as Charlie finally returned, though a bit worse for wear. Kova instantly noticed the injury to Charlie's forehead. "What happened to you?" she asked. She doubted that Charlie had just tripped on her way back. She hadn't returned with any food, Kova began to wonder if someone had decided to attack Charlie for hers. If that were the case, Kova had to admit to possibly feeling a tinge of guilt. The only words that left Charlie's lips after she laid down near the group was that she'd found Solin. It was then that Kova noticed that Charlie hadn't come alone. The Kurjarian woman had entered their space, and was glaring at each of them after confirming her identity. As her eyes fell finally upon Kova, the Andorian glared back, her gaze not breaking the silent stare-down with Solin. Kova set her bowl down next to Charlie and rose to her feet. She even managed to take a few steps, somehow managing to lose her limp. This wasn't the time to show any weakness. No words left Kova's lips as the Andorian stood there. Her eyes continued to bore into Solin's almost as if neither woman would ever back down. She likely had a weapon, but with the way Kova felt, it wouldn't give the Kurjarian any real advantage. Others nearby seemed to sense the tension and somehow the space in the cell seemed to get bigger. Kova's head tilted slightly, almost daring Solin to make the first move. She had harmed Charlie. If she had come looking for a fight, she'd found it. The Kurjarian woman uttered only a single command after that: speak. This was the reason they were there. Solin may not know it, but the last thing she wanted was to hear what Kova had to say. Instead, the Andorian replied with a single word of her own. "Matthew," Kova said simply. If anyone had anything to say to Solin, it was him. Besides, Kova wanted her full attention on Solin, just in case the Kurjarian was bold enough or crazy enough to try something.

[Shavan Th’zhaar - The Pit, Dalab Mountains, Caldonia] Shavan was about to volunteer to go look for Charlie, who was still notably absent, when the reporter appeared in the entrance to the communal cell. Immediately he noticed the fresh blood on her face… and the Kurjarian woman close behind her. He tensed, but did nothing as the pair approached them. So, they finally met Solin. She was here after all. He watched the exchange from where he was sitting on the floor, noting how the Kurjarian’s attention went straight to Harmon and Kova. That was fine. The latter made the right call, though he didn’t think the situation would be diffused easily. While Solin was looking away from him, Shavan subtly shifted position, drawing his legs under him in a crouch so as to be ready to act if necessary. He looked past them both to watch the other prisoners and guards, noticing the way the Kurjarians seemed to draw back in deference to Solin. For now, Shavan waited to see what would happen. If he was thinking objectively, he couldn’t blame her for being suspicious of them; in her place, he would have reacted the same way. And in any case, it wouldn’t end well for any of them to start something in the crowded room, so it would be best to start by talking it out. soft tag Matthew Harmon Kova Sh'qaleq Charlie Fox Syl O'Connell

[Matthew Harmon - The Pit]
It seemed none of the others had much of an idea where Charlie was either, which made Harmon anxious. He hadn't a drink for at least a week, he was more stressed and anxious than he'd ever been, and he was severely sleep deprived. Focusing on helping his people was the only thing keeping him sane. To his relief, Charlie soon arrived before they had a chance to go looking for her. His relief quickly subsided for anger as he realised someone had hurt her. At least they'd found Solin. He tensed up and got ready to square up if need be. Kova seemed to be getting ready for trouble too, as she deferred to Harmon. If things did get ugly Solin could too easily strike at Charlie before either Harmon or Kova could do anything, so he slowly walked closer to Charlie without responding to Solin. "You okay?" he asked. "I know Jeren," he eventually said. "So does Charlie, she's done more to help him than anyone else in the Federation. Not sure how much he'd approve of you treating her like this," he suggested. "He wanted us to meet you. Wished to remind you of the Birwar Oasis, whatever that means. You can trust us. Save your shiv for the Caldonians."

[Ens. Syl O'Connell - Caldonia - Prison Camp]Charlie made it over to them before anyone officially decided to go looking for her, but apparently not before incurring another injury. When she laid down on the floor, Syl instinctively leaned forward to get a better look at the wound, but froze when she saw the rather unhappy-looking Kurjarian woman behind her. At Charlie's exaggerated whisper, Syl grinned and leaned back against the wall. The cut didn't look too bad, what little she could do for it could wait until this discussion was over. Kova stood, and the tension in the corner rose with her. Shavan also shifted, the quiet man seeming prepared to join in if a fight did break out. Syl's heart began to hammer in her chest. Not here, not now... she silently begged the others. They didn't need to be drawing the guards' attention. Suddenly no longer hungry, Syl handed her bowl with three-quarters of slop still in it to Charlie, and pressed herself back against the wall. Drawing her knees up to her chest, she wrapped her arms around them, trying to make herself as small as possible in hopes the guards wouldn't see her. Why was Kova still standing so close to her? Matt spoke, trying to diffuse the situation, but Syl was no longer listening. Her eyes darted around to the Kurjarian prisoners that had cleared away, and the guards who were now watching their group like a hawk. The shock was going to come any moment now, she just knew it...

[Charlie Fox & Solin - Cells, The Pit]Charlie was oblivious to the moves the others were making and what they meant, but Solin was not. Her sharp stare moved in the direction of each movement in her field of vision, no matter how small or subtle. One had managed to reposition himself, while the Andorian that Solin believed to be a true leader and stepped forward to command attention and block hers from the neutralised reporter. She'd already removed "Charlie" from the action, she had no further interest in her. The other female stayed away, nonthreatening, afraid. "Solin interrupted me doing my sacred business in the facilities," Charlie explained to Kova from her spot on the dusty floor. Her voice was a little too high, her gaze unfocused. She even smiled when the Andorian left her bowl so near, and it turned into a grin when Syl offered an almost full meal to her. "Sharing is caaaring," she sang, then stuck her fingers into the slop. Had Solin not felt the need to watch every breath that Kova was taking, she might have felt a slight twinge of guilt. But that particular emotion was a waste of time in a place like this. Best you hang on to your anger and suspicion. The Kurjarian was aware that the others of her kind were shuffling; some away, some to different positions. The guards, too, would be paying some attention to this strange conference. That would not behoove Solin and her goals. Matthew? Solin frowned at the word the blue leader had uttered, not understanding its meaning. Then a male moved forward, approaching Charlie as though to position himself as protector. He had been the one her people had identified as being in charge, and when he spoke she realised they had been right in the first place. "Still not as bad as the morning after the trip to Cait." The redheaded woman on the ground reached out a hand and patted the human male's foot in a gesture of affection at his speech. "The Birwar Oasis is where we were joined."Solin appeared unmoved, her face a blank mask of indifference. But if one knew where to look, they might notice the flicker of something in her eyes. An anger, a passion, something. "You understand," she continued, her voice low, looking briefly at the injured reporter, "That my situation is tenuous. Having a group of outsiders speaking my name at every opportunity presented a danger to my security."Behind her, two Caldonian guards approached, their expressions darkening with distrust. Solin could almost feel them. "We can exchange information." Their brief time together was running out. "I will arrange for us to be assigned to the same work detail tomorrow."

[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Cells, The Pit, Dalab Mountains, Caldonia] This had all gone on long enough. Solin was clearly under the impression that she was untouchable. Just because people had whispered her name around this hell-hole, she thought that she could walk away from this unscathed. Simply get away with attacking one of their own without repercussions. She was sorely mistaken, and Kova was about to prove that point now. To hell with the sweet nothings from Solin's husband that Harmon was trying to whisper into the Kurjarians ears. Because that's what they were... nothing. Kova wasn't looking to kill Solin, but she was certainly going to knock the woman on her ass. Kova estimated she could land a single blow, perhaps two, before she received a shock. She was just about ready to pounce when Solin's final words gave the Andorian pause. "Information?" Kova scoffed. "Planning on telling us all about taco Tuesday?" What could she possibly have to offer, if anything of worth. Yet, it was her next words that truly uneased Kova. When Solin mentioned 'arranging' for them to be put on the same work detail. Kova's blue eyes widened suddenly. It was all so clear now... mainly who was the predator, and who was the prey. Solin was the grelth[fn]Andorian arachnid[/fn] and the rest of them had just stepped right into her frozen webs. Solin spoke of arranging work details, but what she was really arranging were their deaths. Surely, Harmon could see what had been done to Charlie was a warning. Kova never took her eyes off Solin, but saw the pair of guards moving closer in her periphery. Clearly coming to see after their master. "Next time you want to send a message," Kova said flatly, "you send it through me." A long breath left Kova's lips. "To make sure nothing gets lost in translation."

[ Shavan Th’zhaar - The Pit, Dalab Mountains, Caldonia] Shavan didn’t move; regardless of what Solin did, he at least would be saving his shiv for the Caldonians. But even though he did not take part in it, he watched the entire exchange intently. His gaze flickered between the Kurjarian woman, who seemed appeased enough by Matt’s words, and the guards that were moving closer. Her caution, and desire to avoid attention, was something he understood very well. However, he also didn’t miss the clear influence she had on this place. He didn’t entirely trust her, or her intentions. But he did trust that she wanted the same thing as every other damned soul in this place; to survive it. That was something they could work with. And if Solin had influence over the guards, then she was someone they wanted on their side. So when he spoke, it was simply to show solidarity with both the ones she saw as their leaders… and to further diffuse any unwanted attention. “You’ll understand our caution… but I’m sure we can come to some sort of fair exchange.” Matthew Harmon Charlie Fox Syl O'Connell Kova Sh'qaleq

[Matthew Harmon - The Pit]
Charlie was okay, which was lucky, though she'd decided to lie down for some reason. He smiled at her as she patted his foot and reminded him of that trip to Cait. Oh how he wished they were back there instead of stuck here.
Fortunately, the mention of the Oasis shifted Solin's mood. She seemed more willing to trust. "You weren't exactly accessible," he noted as she spoke about her tenuous position. It was reasonable for her to be concerned, however the way he saw it they didn't really have much of a choice. Kova still did not trust Solin, evidently. She did raise some good points, though presented them a bit aggressively. Shavan tried to deescalte, and then Harmon stepped in again. "We need to know what information you have for us. We've tried to show you that you can trust us, you need to do the same," he said sternly.
