[ Ilario Matteus Alfonse Vierdeau - Calypso -> Brig]{Quoted Posts} [Staz Volkova - Front Ear - Shuttleport]"It's the same thing," the Ochiran snapped, rolling her eyes. It didn't matter how anyone felt about the Federation. Doing anything that caused lasting damage to a planet they had claimed was a bad idea. As one of the officers started informing her of her 'rights', she rolled her eyes again. "Don't strain yourself." The rough hands that restrained her made Staz stiffen, but she didn't resist, and followed begrudgingly to the brig. Once the forcefield had been erected behind her, she stretched out on the cot, folding her arms behind her head and staring up at the ceiling. She was probably going to be here for awhile. [NPCs - PO2 Kevin McDonough & PO2 Alex Espada - Shuttleport -> Brig, Front Ear Station]"Don't look so down. You'll be out of here sooner or later."With that chipper note, the two security men left their alleged arsonist in the cell, and walked to the reception desk of the Brig. [ Ilario Matteus Alfonse Vierdeau - Jungle, vicinity of LZ-1, Kerelia -> Calypso]"This is INTOLERABLE!" roared Ilario in the face of such mistreatment by the jackbooted thug in the Starfleet uniform. Between the invasion of his ship and shuttle, the manhandling he and his crew have suffered and now insults? This was going beyond the pale! Absolutely beyond the pale! And why should he care what the command team did in their spare time? Was he expected to let himself get eaten just to satisfy their sensibilities? No, this would not stand! No way, no how, this would not stand! "And if your so-called command team would rather Federation citizens and taxpayers be eaten by those things, then maybe it won't just be your commission I go after! I'll have their too! I'll use your pips for Christmas ornaments! I know people!"To anyone with a sensitivity to high-pitched sounds, the owner and master of the Calypso's ranting well might be starting to enter the painful range as his voice went more and more shrill. [NPC - Lt. j.g. Glenn Abbott - Calypso -> Brig, Front Ear Station]"Just my pips? I've got two better ornaments for your tree down here," Glenn replied flippantly. He'd received a complaint or thirty from colleagues for inappropriate workplace language, but he couldn't be bothered to help it. "You have the right to remain silent, and you'd be wise to use it. Same for your right to a lawyer - DaiMon Djerk will take you for sure."Not that Glenn knew of Djerk's particular criteria for clients, but the name fit into the joke. The security crew dumped the arsonists into cells, with cellmates involved in other crimes, until they came to the head arsonist. "We'll put you in with her," Glenn snapped, nudging the annoying man into the cell where, not a minute before, McDonough and Espada had put the brunette woman. The Bostonian walked out, leaving the prisoners to it.

Like hell he was going to tolerate being treated this way! Clearly they had no idea of who he was, and that those jackboots would get a lesson in respect! Oh, he most definitely was going to give them a piece of his mind! And next thing he knew, the cuffs came off and he was unceremoniously shoved into a cell... only to see that he was actually sharing it! Now he would most certainly extract retribution for this humiliation and when he looked up... "YOU!"Oh, that woman, the woman who stole from him! "GUARDS! TURNKEY! GAOLER! SCREW! This woman stole from me! I demand to press charges against her and that she be taken from this cell!"

[Matthew Harmon - LZ-1]"Hmm, I'm not sure how all the traps work...hence why I'm covered in mud," he responded to Jurga, "If we can figure some of them out and a way to trigger them from safety that could work. I don't know how many of them there are, there may be too many for that to be effective," he said thinking out loud. He inspected the chamber they found themselves in as the others filed in. It wasn't a large room, there were a few minor trinkets around as well as a chest he couldn't see how to open. There was, luckily, a tunnel that could be a way out. Unfortunately, it appeared to be on a downwards angle, leading them deeper. "This is my first time down here too!" he snapped at Bremmer angrily. "They don't have neatly labelled door buttons," he lamented. "Lets see how brute force does, Jurgha, Enola, see if you can help me push the door back! Bremmer, keep covering!" he said as he moved to try and push the heavy stone door back into place.

Underground, the Tritters reached the group's location, undeterred by the sudden changes in elevation, as well as by the mud. As they drew nearer and nearer, they seemed to approach on a path that was directed more towards Harmon than anyone else, as though there was something singularly offensive about him or his possessions. However, one needed to be paying very close attention to notice this preference.

[ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Tunnel Under LZ-1] Jurgha drew her phaser again when Eliska shouted for them all to do so, having no argument there. Joining Harmon, she threw her full weight and strength against the stone door. Which was fairly significant, and yet the door didn’t budge. “It’s not moving!” She let out a frustrated growl as behind them the tritters began dropping into the mud pit, which apparently did nothing to slow them. She lifted the phaser, and in flashes of light and deadly energy the creatures began falling. Yet even with Eliska beside her, the horde was too numerous to stop every one. Jurgha got her first good look at one of the beasts as it sank its many fangs into her leg; she kicked it and it landed with a loud smack against the far wall. As more tried to get past her (?) she began using whatever means available as well as shooting them; at the same time that she kicked two into each other another jumped up and bit her arm. This one got crushed against the door while a phaser blast finished off the other two. She growled as she spun around, continuing to face the oncoming horde. Eliska Bremmer Enola Matthew Harmon

[ Ensign Rin Zakir - The Shittle] Definitely a stupid question, Zak realised as he took one look at Costa's injuries and reached for the med kit. It was a good thing that he has studied emergency field medicine, although he was no doctor. That would definitely need looking at by a professional, but for now he could at least try and make her a lot more comfortable. In the kit, he found a hypospray of analgesic and some bandages, knowing that the shoulder wound was going to need more than a dermal regenerator to fix. He made his way over, nodding a flashing a brief smile to Miren as he did so. Back at the station sounded good. At this stage, he would be glad to never have to set foot on that Prophets forsaken planet again! "Okay, we're going have to have to get this bleeding stopped and patched up. This should help too.", he explained as he held up the hypospray. "Hope you're not allergic to metorapan.", he added. He briefly waited for the go ahead, knowing that he could not force treatment on her. If she wanted to bleed all over their floor, then great. At least the tritter was out of the way now, though he couldn't care less just where it had gotten too. So long as it was off the shuttle and no longer trying to eat any of them alive. It appeared though, that it had left a little something behind. "Nice, get it framed, then you can tell people the story of how you almost got eaten while the overzealous bajoran said his prayers!", he commented drily. Of course, that hadn't quite been the case, but any story worth hearing was always exaggerated in some way or another. Usually at his expense, so he'd often noticed. Politely declining the offer of a drink from her flask, he kept his eyes on Costa as Hudson relayed their new orders. So the other team were in danger of becoming lunch now, huh? That, and some geniuses had decided to burn half the jungle down in their haste to get closer to the apparent treasure. Oh were they going to get it! He just hoped he didn't have to be involved with the archaically named 'paperwork'. "Those things are attracted to frequencies over 30MHz, right? I know normally we'd have to be pretty close, but can we still use that as a distraction somehow?", he asked. It wasn't the dumbest thing he had ever suggested, at least. Now, Ilario Matteus Alfonse Vierdeau was truly irate. His shuttle had been stolen, he had been illegally boarded and detained for having the nerve to let himself be eaten by whatever those things were, and now he was sharing a cell with a bloody pirate? This was absolutely intolerable! But, at least she had told him where his small craft was, so that was a damned blessing, an inept pirate! But that didn't help when the thugs on the far side of the forcefield simply dismissed his concerns and impugned on his character while even saying they were in for the same crime! Preposterous! Oh, there would be a reckoning! By the time he was done, oh yes he would be owning this station and every Starfleet jackboot within it would be facing enough restitution they might as well sell their children to Orion slavers! "The same crime? The same crime? That is obscene! I have done nothing wrong but you lock me in with a pirate! I demand to be moved and to press charges against her! I pay my taxes! I have rights, damn you!"

[ PO3 Eliska Bremmer - Square, LZ-2 Colony -> LZ-1, Kerelia ][ Ensign Enola - LZ-1 ] Enola waited patiently until the Klingon climbed out of the mud pit, but kept an eye on her the whole time. When she reached the top, the part-Vulcan briefly wiped off the most disgusting mud and then set about getting to the top herself. And as quickly as possible. Once at the top, she briefly oriented herself and then looked back and forth between Bremmer, Harmon and the still unknown Klingon before wondering if phasers on kill was really necessary. Actually, she wasn't a fan of setting the phasers to kill at all and only used the highest stun setting, but .... whatever. She was an intelligence officer, not a security officer, and Bremmer was the one who knew best how to handle such situations. So Enola didn't think long but set her phasers to kill under a critical look and an uneasy feeling.

Eliska Bremmer Enola Matthew Harmon The horde of tritters seemed unending, and Eliska and Jurgha's combined fire was not nearly enough, not when both Intelligence officers were doing, well, very little at the time. If anything, it was only the limited frontage that the door represented that was their sole saving grace at the time and kept what tritters went past their fire manageable enough. The Klingon had been bitten more than once, and the Human herself had a few close calls, with slavering jaws snapping all too close to her for comfort. And while she would not remember it later, she was running her throat hoarse screaming the same three words over and over again as though it was a prayer against the merciless onslaught of the tritters. "Nie umieram tutaj!"[fn]I'm not dying here, in Polish[/fn]And then, she had an idea. Probably not ideal, but better than nothing. Lowering her rifle to the hip, she started simply firing indiscriminately with but one hand on the weapon, and her left fell to her hip and pulled out her hand phaser. Now, that was something everyone in Starfleet knew how to do, and Security trained to do it just as she was doing now, without looking and with just one hand, but she had never expected she'd actually have to do it, let alone trapped in a cave as she was. And then, as her hand phaser started to whine ominously as it entered its overload cycle, she threw it out of the door and into the horde , with but three words to chase it as her rifle went back to her shoulder, just in time to put a smoking hole through a the head of a tritter whose maw had just encompassed the muzzle of her rifle. "Fire in the hole!"

[Lt. JG Cerjess Miren - Kerelia - Shuttle]With Ensign Rin seeing to Costa's injuries, Cerjess focused on their next task - distracting the demon spawn. He certainly wasn't about to suggest doing anything that risked causing further damage to the jungle, but that didn't mean they were out of options. "Give me your tricorders." Pulling his own off his belt, the scientist flipped it open and began adjusting the settings. "I can raise the frequencies to attract the tritters' attention and beam them out into the forest. We'll have to get a little closer to the tunnels, though." If he dropped the first one right outside the entrance, he could send the others down a path away, drawing the horde far enough away to let those trapped escape behind them. Hopefully.

[Staz Volkova - Front Ear - Brig]They hadn't been in the cell for five minutes and she already wished she had killed him when she had the chance. Seriously, did he even know what a pirate was? And did he seriously believe that Starfleet would consider her borrowing his private shuttle to be a worse crime than starting a forest fire on their shiny new planet? Rolling off her cot, she walked over to the force field, looking at the officers beyond. "'Ey! If I tay-care of your arsohnist migraine, can I get out ov here?" Switching to Federation Standard was a conscious effort for her, but with exception of hardened vowels and dropped consonants, she spoke clearly enough to be understood.

If he dropped the first one right outside the entrance, he could send the others down a path away, drawing the horde far enough away to let those trapped escape behind them. Hopefully. [Costa - Shittle]As Chloe Hudson gave the newcomers a rundown of the situation, Costa found herself rolling her eyes at the mess the other treasure hunters were creating and then leaving behind. The mess itself she could probably justify if she won the prize in the end, but trapping yourself probably wasn't the smartest move. When Rin approached she dutifully repositioned herself so that her shoulder and back was accessible, and began to pull back some of the shreds of material, grimacing as parts of it got caught in some already drying blood. When he presented the hypospray, she nodded. "Ya, taki[fn]"Thanks."[/fn]. Is fine."The relief that washed over her when the hypo was depressed and took the edge off was a sign of how much damage had been done. Her thoughts began to clear, and she grinned at the comment the Bajoran made. Then she reached back into her pocket, pulled out the claw and moved to give it to him. "Reminder of the power of prayer," she said, tone a touch wry and mischief briefly flickering across her face. Then the Fleeters began to put a plan together. It had merit, but they'd need more. "Gonna have to send down everything ya have. Is less about the frequency itself; once over 30 they react same way. What brings hordes is quantity. Come after camps, but bypass wan[fn]"One."[/fn] completely." If a group of tritters were already intent on a group down there, they'd need enough to redirect their killing instincts. She tried to rise, keen on moving closer to one of the consoles so she could get a better look for herself, but after a couple of attempts to stand, she gave up with a curse. Then another memory fluttered through her mind. "And music. Last time the sodzha[fn]Fleeters.[/fn]played classic rock." She'd had Welcome to the Jungle stuck in her head for weeks. "Klingon opera would work too. Pied Piper those bitches."

[ Ilario Matteus Alfonse Vierdeau - Calypso -> Brig]{Quoted Posts} [Staz Volkova - Front Ear - Brig]Staz didn't look over as someone else was shoved into the cell with her, fully intending on ignoring them for the duration of her stay. However, when the whiny shouts echoed through the room, she groaned loudly. "Relax! Your precious shuttle is waiting for you in the docking bay!" She shouted back at him, but otherwise didn't move from her position on the cot. The Ochiran had been planning on breaking the shuttle down and selling the salvaged parts... But losing out on the latinum was worth getting him to shut up.
Tag Eliska Bremmer [NPCs - PO2 Kevin McDonough & PO2 Alex Espada - Brig, Front Ear Station]The screeching from cell A8 was unmistakable, but unimpressive. "Buddy, if you haven't noticed, you're in the Brig. Everyone here's a dirtbag just like you," Alex shouted down the hall. "Be glad we don't have Moz around to bunk with you."
Kevin accessed the database to see just who and what these two were. "Oh, they're in for the same crime. Truly no honor among thieves," he noticed, just loud enough to be overheard.
I have rights, damn you!"
tag Judith Eastman Anastazia Volkova [Staz Volkova - Front Ear - Brig]They hadn't been in the cell for five minutes and she already wished she had killed him when she had the chance.

"Nose goes," Alex declared, putting his own finger to his nose before Kevin noticed. With a sigh, Kevin moved to deal with the miscreants in cell A8. "What's the beef with the two of you? Explain it to me."He leaned against the bulkhead, outside the force field of the cell, hoping that if the two arsonists talked to him, they'd be too busy to "take care of" each other.

Tag Eliska Bremmer , Anastazia Volkova Finally! The guards were paying him his due attention! But, of course, that vile woman was there to threaten him no less! And impugn on is honour with further calumnies about his supposed crime. Well, there was one more person he'd see in the courts all right! "My beef? My beef?! I will tell you what that beef is! This woman stole my shuttle! And now you have me locked up with a goddamned pirate who has just threatened my life! I demand to be moved to a different cell and I will have charges pressed against her!"Then, he took a deep breath and sneered. "You know what, I'm through dealing with you. I demand to speak to the Chief of Security! Actually, make that the Exe... no, I'm going away above all your heads! I demand to speak to the admiral in charge of this sector!"
