The Commander had pretty much given the okay to relax. K'osh why normally only one for relaxing off duty wasn't going to simply ignore her request to simply relax.
“I shall relax then,” he said relaxing both his shoulders and back somewhat. K'osh nodded when Vulcan was mentioned. He grinned, “I am Klingon after all I'm sure I can handle a little Vulcan heat,” he said in a way to declare he could handle such a challenge. “Is this mountain challenging to climb?”, he asked.
He had sequred the table and chairs easily enjoy for them all to sit down, yet he remained standing for now. Ladies first, he thought to himself. He had manners. “Vulcan food isn't so bad Command-,” he said stopping himself, “What should I address you as Command-,” and he stopped himself again. He wasn't sure what he should call her. Also it was quite hard for him to relax given that he was in fact still on duty at the moment.
The talk of food was making him listen fully now. "If you like spicey then you should try my cooking," he let Judy know offering her the option. K'osh stood there with his arms over his chest grinning now. When the question of garlic came up K'osh just simply nodded. He didn't have the heart to tell him that he perfered other flavor in his meals then just garlic. He had no desire to dampen the young boys mood. K'osh liked him. "I shall sit if Michael joins me?" He finnally said.
As they settled in to seats, Kyo leaned over and murmured to Saya, standing again when she nodded and passing Alieth's leash to her while he went over to the replimat to get drinks for Saya, Evekh and himself. Saya answered K'oshor after she had a good hold of Alieth; the three-horn was curious about all of these new people and was making her way from one person to another to check them out. There are challenging trails up Mt. Seleya; however, Judy and I drove most of the way to the top, then walked the rest of the distance with our instruments. We had quite an enjoyable sunrise mini-concert. She smiled over at Judy at the memory. "You're welcome to call me Judy, for as long as we're enjoying this little break," Judy answered K'oshor's question to the whole group. "Allow me to fantasize, if only for a brief while, about not having a metric ton of paperwork on my desk.""I'd love to try your cooking, young man, but you'll have to allow me to extend an invitation to you first," she then added. "The same goes for the rest of you. Max - my husband - and I both love cooking; he's actually a chef by profession.""I cook too!" Michael interjected. "Can Mr. K'oshor cook with us sometime, Grandma?""Well, I can't order him to," Judy replied, giving the Klingon officer a warm, welcoming smile. With his eyes, Michael tried to summon K'oshor to the open chair next to him. Anna, meanwhile, had gone to fetch herself a drink, and returned with a large iced coffee, rather dark. It was a choice by the daughter that was most evocative of the mother. [Ens. Isaiah Quinn - Promenade, Front Ear Station] As Isaiah listened to the conversation once everyone found a seat, his eyes first watched the younger kids, fell upon the source of movement. It seemed the Chief's three horn was curious about all the surrounding bodies. He watched the smaller creature with much of the same curiosity he assumed it likely had. Still, he found his attention captured by one of the details that Chief Ozu shared about Mr. Seleya. "Wait. Instruments?" he said looking between Chief Ozu and Commander Eastman. "You two play?" His interest was clearly piqued. "What instruments do you play? He was already curious if there would be any recitals in their future? Though, what did seem more likely was a dinner party. It seemed that K'oshor could possibly join the Eastman-Williams family in cooking possibly for such a gathering. Isaiah was certainly not in a rush to offer his own culinary talents, which were currently limited to the replicator and a team-building exercise on the Holodeck. "It'd be an honor..., Isaiah recalled her earlier request. Somehow, he just couldn't bring himself to address the commander as 'Judy.' "... ma'am."

He laughed, which was a deep throaty chuckle. "Mt. Seleya sounds like my kind of climb," he explained further. At least it was no space walk, he thought with a shudder. The mention of instruments caught his attention and he raised an eyebrow at Saya. He too played an instrument, and sang. He was curious, however. "I too play," he stated boldly. He was relaxing now, and enjoying it. He was enjoying his new assigment far more then his last that was for sure. He liked Judy quite a bit, he told himself. He was much different then his last Commander, who was a bit of a hard ass. "The Klingon guitar that is." He chuckled at Judy, "Then I shall call you Judy," he nodded toward her. "Sometimes," he admitted to Judy. "I am in need of relaxing, as I tend to not do so while on duty." His last Commander was simply by the book. Not that he was a bad officer he just tended to expect everyone to follow the rule book to an exact tee. "By all means if you are here Judy enjoying yourself, then so shall I." He told her. He didn't order anything for himself just, yet. "I shall be honored if given such an invite then if one is given," he told both Judy and Michael. The small child was growing on him. "If your Grandma wishes it then I'd consider it an honor," he told the boy. "I see," K'osh said when Judy mentioned that her husband was a chef. "I tend to favor adding Klingon foods to what I like to make, as it gives it that extra little kick." He said with a slight warning. He was quite enjoying the talk about cooking. "No need to make it an order," he told Judy then turned to Michael. "I'd be honored to cook side by side with you Michael," he told the boy with a smile. He watch over the boy and allow the Commander to relax some.

Isaiah Quinn - Promenade, Front Ear Station] It seemed that Commander Eastman and Chief Ozu weren't the only musicians in the bunch. K'osh revealed that he too played Klingon guitar. It was shortly after that that Quinn learned how musically inclined the rest of the others were. Both Kyo and Saya were musicians. She seemed to favor string instruments while her husband played woodwinds. Though, to be certain, Isaiah thought to ask. "The tivara. That's a woodwind also, right?" Meanwhile Commander Eastman and her husband favored string instruments. Just hearing the list that the commander played was beyond impressive. It also seemed that her daughter, Anna played as well. "Well, I don't play an instrument, but I am a lover of music," Isaiah remarked. "I'd really enjoy hearing you all play some time. Any chance of a concert some time in the future, ma'am?" Isaiah was confident that it would be quite a pleasure to see them all playing together. And given the Commander's taste in music, he was confident a concert would be worthwhile. He smiled as Anna mentioned that her mother was likely planning the dinner party in her head at that very moment. "That wouldn't surprise me," the ensign commented.

[Ens. K'oshor, son of Khorshurk - Promenade, Front Ear Station] "Playing music for me can help with certain things," he admitted to the rest of those gathered. He also liked to sing. Klingon Opera was his favorite music, which he wrote and sang. He’d honestly love the chance to get to play it for someone. His writing contained adventure, history, and culture about many things in Klingon. It also contained many cultural songs about food. He intently listened to the other’s when they mentioned what they played. The Klingon guitar was one of his many favorite musical instruments. He was starting to enjoy this. His attention at times turned to his small cat, but the feline was in good hands. He turned toward the female, this Anna and smiled and nodded toward her. “I would not mind enjoying cooking for others. I often jump at the chance to do so, and would enjoy cooking for everyone as well,” he told them all on the subject of cooking. To Judy he simply nodded and said, “I also like these Beatles you have mentioned.” They were a good old Earth rock band. He simply enjoyed the music of other cultures. To Saya he said this, “Family is important,” and as he said this he certainly was missing his own family. Even his annoying sister who had come to visit, annoy, and check up on him. “My own sister is visiting for a short time,” he said to them all.

[ Saya, Kyo, Evekh - Promenade] Kyo grinned at Isaiah and answered, Yes, tivara is a woodwind. It was the instrument I started on. There was a human instructor at the Bajoran Conservatory of Music who talked me into trying the bassoon. It stuck, but I've kept up with the tivara as well. Since I left the symphony I've been working on composing music for the tivara primarily. My 'zoo! Evekh burst out, interrupting Kyo before he could say anything else. Oh, yes, we can't forget Evekh's kazoo, he said with a chuckle. We started him on something simple that he could sort of keep time with us on. I think we're going to start letting him try out some other instruments, though. Not to push him into one, but if he wants to start lessons, we'll do that.Indeed, Saya agreed. And it certainly sounds as if we should plan some sort of musical/cooking get-together. Perhaps we could ask Ms. Mazal to allow us to rent out the Blue Beta for an evening.

"Max and I had our quarters fitted with a full kitchen. It wasn't cheap, but we just can't live without our double oven. Call us spoiled, but it's just how we do it.""You're definitely spoiled. Don't Junior Officers have to go two in a room?" Anna cut in, ever the teenager, while Michael fussed over Tigger some more. "Anyway, we do have a massive oven. In the meantime, a silver-haired man, about six feet tall, quietly snuck up on the group. Standing behind Judy, he put his finger over his lips, signaling for the others not to alert her to his presence. Anna's very slight glance, behind her mother's back, indicated that she knew who this was - her father, Judy's husband, Max.

Isaiah's attention was captured immediately. "Wait. You know the Beatles?" Isaiah asked to make certain that he'd heard correctly. "I guess they really are the greatest rock band of all time. Considering their fame had not only transcended the Sol system, but even found fans within the Klingon Empire had to be a feat unheard of. Isaiah listened as Kyo confirmed that the tivara was in fact a woodwind instrument. He also listened to the man's experience with it, and how he was introduced to the bassoon. It was also a cute addition to hear that Kyo's family as well was a musical one, with their own son, Evekh starting his musical education on the kazoo. A slight chuckle left Isaiah's lips at the mental image. Especially, when seeing how both he and Michael were still preoccupied with Tigger. Chief Ozu seemed to endorse the idea of getting together for some sort of cooking and musical event. It was obvious that she had given it some serious thought when she mentioned renting out the Blue Beta for an evening. However, it seemed that Commander Eastman had other plans, as she suggested that perhaps her quarters would be large enough to host such an event. Anna chimed in as well, agreeing with one of her mother's suggestions that she was possibly spoiled because of the space and inclusion of an additional oven in their kitchen. "Most enlisted personnel and some junior officers as well do have to share quarters," Isaiah stated. Of course, there were some that were granted full quarters of their own. Especially those that had come to their posting with their families, as well as those that held supervisory positions. He didn't elaborate on any of the details thinking that they were conclusions she'd likely draw on her own. "It's starting to sound like this little gathering may really be happening," Isaiah said. He noticed Max Williams, Commander Eastman's husband, moving closer to his wife, and didn't betray the man's desire to surprise his wife. "I suppose you really weren't kidding when you said your mother was already planning this," he said, his comment directed towards Anna.

He asked Isaiah. He felt no need to further point out that Klingon's had space flight capability for quite sometime. Then to Judy he said with a slight grunt, as he smiled and nodded, "I'm sure she'd enjoy that." He was looking forward to her leaving, he told himself with a small snicker. "I will ask her," and that's all he said on that. He said nothing as well when someone appeared behind the commander. He just waited.
