[ Ensign Lori Menzies - Bridge, USS Mac] After receiving her orders to respond to the distress call, the Brunette Ensign, turned back towards her console, only to receive another call, this one a priority call from Command. Relaying that to the CO & XO resulted in Captain Ellis leaving the bridge to take it, in her ready room, leaving Commander Baker in charge. Still Lori had her orders to complete, even if the change over had little effect on the seasoned yet never promoted officer. Not that she was bitter or anything as she spoke directly to the Falcon, after correlating their last known position. =/\= This is the USS Mac calling the S.S Falcon, acknowledged, we have your coordinates and we're en-route to your position =/\= Message sent, Lori then relayed the Falcon's position to the Helm. " Coordinates sent to you Ensign Graham".************ [ Thea - Bridge, USS Mac] The moment that she had heard the name Falcon mentioned, Thea had exchanged a look crossed between amusement and disbelief with Felicity, especially given the reputation of one Thomas Marion Jett. However despite what they may think personally about the man, who she had heard several others call Captain Leather Pants, they were still Starfleet officers and if his ship was in trouble, then they had to render assistance. It was also lucky that he wasn't that far from their current patrol route, so as Felicity left to deal with the priority call from Command, Thea set aside the nerves to focus on their next plan of action. With Ops answering the call and relaying the Falcon's position to the Helm, Thea then began to issue orders. " Mr Graham, set a course for the Falcon, quickest route possible at Warp 6" she stated then turned to both Isaiah and the officer at Sec/Tac. " Mr Quinn, I want continuous scans of the area, especially with this being unknown territory, Security, initiate red alert, have shields and weapons ready, only fire on my order, once we can assess the situation".Orders given, Thea then sat back, slightly regretting the sweet roll that she had already eaten and looked forward to hearing what Jett was exactly up to.
tag Isaiah Quinn, @ Thomas Jett, Alex Graham[Bridge-USS MAC] Alex got to work imputing in the coordinates so that they would be en route to the location of the S.S. Falcon. He was prepared for any hiccups that they might encounter and any detours that they might have to take. He was going to keep an eye out for any possible disturbances. It was probably a good idea to keep alert and guarded while they were in unfamiliar territory where they didn’t know what they would encounter. It was quite easy for him to stay calm in a seemingly alarming situation. Whatever was in store for them when they got there it would be better for them to be prepared so that it could be dealt with in the proper manor and with the right solution.

[ Thea - Bridge, USS Mac] If this wasn't a red alert or potentially dangerous rescue mission, Thea would of lingered a little longer on Isaiah, as she caught the look that he gave in her direction. Yet the Doctor found some solace from it, a reassurance that she had someone close to her, as the Scientist acknowledged her order. Barely turning back to face the viewscreen, when Isaiah then drew her attention once more, with the discovery of a nebula, that the sensors had alerted him too and there was a sense of intrigue, given that there was no record of it. Any thoughts of this being a simple and straightforward mission were quickly rejected, as it appeared as though the crew of the Mac had a potential mystery on their hands. Although there was some irony, that it showed up now, when they had been diverted to help the Falcon. However, before she could acknowledge Quinn, Petty Officer S'Riia initiated the red alert as ordered, then shared what she had found so far, in regards to the situation that they were heading into. Four possible enemy ships was not ideal, but Thea was confident that the Mac could help deter them as she then answered both officers. " Thank you, Mr Quinn, I think its definitely worth investigating as soon as we've helped the Falcon, please continue and Petty Officer, acknowledged, hopefully we can get that information from them".No sooner had she said that, Ensign Menzies alerted them to another hail from the Falcon and Thea instructed her to put it through. The news that they were now surrounded wasn't good and could only speculate as to what kind of trouble, Thomas Jett had gotten himself too and yet wasn't sure if she wanted to know right now. " Mr Graham, what's our ETA to the Falcon?" she asked the Helm Officer, aware that he hadn't verbally acknowledged her last order. As she waited for him to respond, she spoke to the Falcon directly. =/\= Commander Baker to the Falcon, we're on our way and should be with you shortly, if you could share what information you have, that would be very beneficial so we know what we're dealing with =/\= Leaving the comm on mute for the moment, Thea then addressed the whole ship via the ship comm as she needed to prepare them for a potential fight. =/\= All hands prepare to move to battle stations, this is not a drill =/\=

[S.S. Falcon – Bridge] NPC – First Officer Aella . Aella observed as she saw the hull integrity of the ship declining rapidly. Their transporters were damaged in the battle and they have not had a chance to repear the system. Alarm came as she saw ship coming out of warp. It was a matter of seconds that she received a hail. Quickly she pressed the comm buttons and placed it on screen. The image of a man showed up on her screen wearing a uniform. =/\= This is Lord Emond de León, I am the Field Admiral of the of the Noble Alliance of Samara, the worlds rightful ruler. You are interfering on our lawful arrest of the Royal Family. They have been tried in Abstencia and found guilty of crimes against the people of Samara including, Genocide, using biological and nuclear weapons on the population. We are requesting the return of ALL royal Family so we can execute them promptly. Our Records show that you allied yourself with the royal family when you disabled out forces. If you surrender the Royal Family, I might consider a pardon. You have limited time to consider my proposal if not. I will destroy you. =/\= [/color]. With that the man image disappeared from the screen. Aella looked at the man and wanted to offer him to come to the ship and to suck it. She observed as the fleet began powering their weapons. =/\= Commander Baker to the Falcon, we're on our way and should be with you shortly, if you could share what information you have, that would be very beneficial so we know what we're dealing with =/\= “Why are they taking soo long?….are they coming in Impulse Speed. “. She muttered to herself. She thought to also ditch the Captain and steal the ship. She could easily try and punch a hole in their formation. She thought about it. “Bloody Conscience!” . She told herself as she remained in position. She knew that if she left it would be certain death to Jett and the person. =/\= “This is First Officer Aella to Commander Baker. We detected a distress signal a low power one and heard that Pirates were attacking a ship. Under Captain Jett’s Order we engaged the Pirates in order to salvage their ship and get a reward from the Civilians. We detected Ground Fire from the ship and Jett, decided to fight the Pirates. We can’t get a reward if everyone is dead. Once inside the ship, Captain Jett figured that they were not Pirates but in a Coat of Arm. So we think we are in the middle of a Civil War. Captain Jett is pinned down on a ship that the hull integrity is failing and ready to break apart. We are surrounded by 12 ships who technology appear to be early warp. We can’t fight them all by ourselves and demanding that we give them the Royal Family. I would contact the Captain but it appears he is busy holding his position with him and another lifesign. I don’t know how much longer her can hold there. We have sustained damage and out transporter are off line. =/\= Aella Finished giving the Commander all the information she had. It took a second when she felt the ship hit. =/\= “Correction…they have engaged us. Continuing engagement” =/\= . Aella stated and she took the Captain’s chair and began controlling the ship in to another battle. “Twelve vs. 1, not exactly very noble of you Lord Emond de León” . It was the moment of truth would she leave Tom behind or continue the battle?

[ Damian - Deck 12 - Banquet Hall][/b] Just as he was part way through his examination (and resetting) of the control panel, any such work would have immediately been halted by the fact that the ship had gone to red alert. His brows knitted together as an irritated hiss escaped between his teeth. If it weren't for the circuit messing with something five decks away, Damian might have found an appropriate excuse to stop and tend to something that was much more likely needing to be dealt with - seeing as at one point, as an officer, his multitasking skills were tested. Damian sighed, wiping sweat off his brow as he fiddled around with the control panel. =/\= Engineering to medbay, that should have done the trick, if you need anything handled-- =/\= He bit his tongue at the mere suggestion of bugging another engineer, it was unprofessional and he needed all the good write-ups he could get at this point. =/\= Just...let me know. =/\= With that particular message out of the way, it was time to see if anywhere else needed tending to. The banquet hall wasn't about to go anywhere and he doubted that the lot would care if the lights weren't 100% functioning at the current point in time. Damian would be sure to return to the job once the alert lowered and they didn't find themselves under attack. He took a moment, noticing that the thrum of something wasn't emanating from the control panel but from his heart beating against his chest. The last time he was at red alert... Damian scowled, trying to pull himself together. He had a job to do. =/\= Oerstadt to bridge, do you need an extra hand up there? =/\=

She tilted her head slightly as the doctor made his rather bitter statement. What made him say that?
”I'm sorry you feel that way, Doctor. Personally, my experience is that everyone has been quite courteous so far.”
Then the lights suddenly came back on, followed by Oerstadt's voice confirming that the issue had been fixed. ”Yes, thank you, Crewman!”Then Baker's voice came over the intercom and told everyone to get to their battle stations as the ship went to red alert. Lurai looked at Lunn. ”Seems like things just got interesting out there.” She rose from her seat and walked over to a console. "Better make sure that no systems other than the lights were affected just now."

He then made a followup point about the necessity of a warp drive, which Malik hadn't even considered. First, he had to bring Mr Black up to speed on what the Arc was. "The Arc is a medium range civilian freighter, designed to carry cargo initially but has recently been retrofitted to act as a passenger transport also. We used it last week to ferry supplies and personnel down to the surface of Kerelia where it performed quite well. It can just about squeeze in the main hanger deck of the Mac. "You'll see," he muttered, before they went to red alert, thankfully with the light back on. "I shall make sure our medics are ready," he asserted, stepping into the role of Chief as though it were his own. "Even our very own Chief doesn't seem to think Sickbay is worthy of her presence."Someday, Kece was sure, Starfleet would see his merit and make him Chief Medical Officer in a serious duty station, instead of just a surgeon in the middle of nowhere. Someday, he was sure.

It was the moment of truth would she leave Tom behind or continue the battle? [Ens. Isaiah Quinn - Bridge, USS Mac] Isaiah nodded as Thea acknowledged his report about the nebula. It was certainly something that warranted investigating, but the priority was without a doubt the distress call. Isaiah set the computer to continue accumulating data on the nebula, though he would have to analyze it later. Right now, he knew that he needed to provide whatever support he could towards answering the distress call. He overheard Petty Officer S'Riia mention that neutrinos were possibly interfering with long-range scans. "I'll try to clean that up," Isaiah said as his fingers proceeded to dance across his console. As he worked, he could hear the Falcon's first officer speaking over the comm. Just as he managed to calibrate the sensors to compensate for the increased neutrino emissions in that area, he heard her mention that the vessels appeared to be early warp. He also took note of the fact that Jett had beamed aboard the vessel to personally render assistance. Isaiah was beginning to conclude that this was typical behavior for the man. "How's that?" he asked the tactical officer to see what she could make of things now. Ensign Graham commented on the ETA. That coupled with the number of ships that appeared to be attacking made things appear grim for the Falcon. His eyes glanced briefly in Thea's direction. He still had every bit of confidence in her ability to handle the situation, though he certainly didn't envy her at that point. ********** [NPC - Petty Officer 1st Class S'Riia - Bridge, USS Mac] As more information came in, S'Riia grew more and more annoyed. She certainly wasn't struggling with how to handle the situation, but wondering how they'd manage to get lucky enough to deal with this. There was essentially a battle on two fronts: the one in space, and the one aboard that ship. It was ultimately up to Lt. Commander Baker as to how she wished to address it, but S'Riia needed to be prepared to offer her options. Thus, she chose to first deal with what be the immediate threat once they arrived: the twelve ships. She heard the Falcon's X.O. mention they were early-warp vessels and that there were a dozen of them. Ensign Quinn's efforts to re-calibrate the sensors proved fruitful. She began to run scans on one of the vessels as the Mac continued its approach. "Commander," S'Riia spoke. "Most early-warp vessels have exhibited vulnerabilities in their shielding near their exhaust ports. It's possible concentrated fire on that region could compromise those ships' power grids."

[ Thea - Bridge, USS Mac] The response from Jett's first officer Aella, only seemed to confirm what Thea had feared, in regards to what kind of situation, that she was taking the Mac into. Whilst the Acting XO listened, she was glad that the channel was open so the whole Bridge could hear, keen to welcome suggestions from the crew as they moved towards their destination. A message was sent off to the Captain via the arm Padd to keep her updated, as Thea then responded to the Falcon, the sounds of the ship being hit, clear as Aella then confirmed that twelve ships had engaged them. =/\= Baker to Aella, acknowledged, we'll do all we can to assist and to also rescue your Captain, please hold on, until we can get to you =/\= It wasn't ideal, but there wasn't much that the Mac could do until they got there, apart from being as ready as possible and prepare to execute whatever suitable plan, that wouldn't get them all killed. Mulling over possibilities as one of their Engineer's responded to the red alert and asked if they needed an extra hand up on the Bridge. Having an Engineer would definitely be beneficial considering what they were about to do. =/\= Baker to Oerstadt, that would be good if you can get up here asap =/\= Thea's attention was then drawn to Ensign Graham as he gave an ETA on their arrival. Less than twenty minutes, seemed as though they were still ages away and prayed that they wouldn't arrive to find the Falcon in pieces. " Understood Mr Graham, as soon as we reach them, I want you to drop us out of warp and reduce speed to impulse".The CMO then turned towards Isaiah and S'Riia as the scientist acknowledged her order, before helping to clear up the sensors. She was definitely appreciative of his efforts and that of those on the Bridge as the Sec/Tac officer then gave her an option on to how they could deal with the pre warp vessels that were surrounding the Falcon. Considering what was said, Thea answered the Petty Officer. " That's definitely something we can use to our advantage if needed, even if its just a warning shot, enough to disable them or encourage them to back off, we also need a distraction to keep them busy, whilst we rescue Captain Jett, so if anyone has any further suggestions, please say them now".

As Ensign Black stated, we have a selection of fighters here that we need to narrow down for our carrier project. So far we've established that the fighter doesn't necessarily need a warp-drive, and it should posses good atmospheric as well as vacuum handling. There's also the Arc, not sure if you've seen that before, but it's the freighter we used last mission down on Kerelia. We'll need to convert that into a fully fledged-space carrier." He then gestured to the plate of Risan breakfast delicacies, "Hungry?" Derek Black Kaya Som

[...] =/\= Baker to Aella, acknowledged, we'll do all we can to assist and to also rescue your Captain, please hold on, until we can get to you =/\= It wasn't ideal, but there wasn't much that the Mac could do until they got there, apart from being as ready as possible and prepare to execute whatever suitable plan, that wouldn't get them all killed. " That's definitely something we can use to our advantage if needed, even if its just a warning shot, enough to disable them or encourage them to back off, we also need a distraction to keep them busy, whilst we rescue Captain Jett, so if anyone has any further suggestions, please say them now".[Ens. Isaiah Quinn - Bridge, USS Mac] Isaiah took a moment to ponder the situation. If they could avoid a direct confrontation then they should certainly attempt to do so. With the numbers in their favor, twelve ships against two, they may not be easily dissuaded even if one of those ships was a Federation Sovereign-class vessel. "What if they saw more than one Federation starship?" Isaiah proposed. He paused only to double-check his thinking before contributing even further. "It sounds like they have the numbers advantage, but what if they saw more than one Mac?"Ensign Quinn went on to elaborate on his idea. "We may have enough time to program a couple of probes to mimic the Mac's subspace signal," he suggested. "So, unless they take the time to physically look out a porthole, their sensors will tell them that three Soverign-class vessels just dropped out of warp instead of one."********** [NPC - PO1 S'Riia - Bridge, USS Mac] S'Riia had to give the young scientist credit. His idea had promise. The only question was whether or not they'd have time to program the probes before they arrived. She could pull the specs fast enough, but it would likely go faster with the assistance of someone from engineering. She then looked towards Lt. Commander Baker to offer her on input on the idea. "It could work well to our advantage, Commander," S'Riia stated. "The distraction would likely force them to hesitate, giving us a few extra seconds. After taking a deep breath, S'Riia continued. "Sensors also confirm that the structural integrity of what appears to be the royal ship is degrading," S'Riia said. "This could give me the time to beam everyone aboard to the Cargo Bay. All their energy weapons could be disabled in transport with a security team standing by in the bay."S'Riia turned to Baker to see what she would ultimately decide. This certainly wasn't an ideal situation, but it was something. Of course, time was of the essence and they would be arriving soon.

[...] "Pleasure to meet you Kaya. I think you and your fellow maintainers' expertise will be needed for our little 'fighter' project here. Otherwise we're likely to do some damage to ourselves. Speaking of damage," Derek looked over to the others, musing a new thought which came to mind. " If the Ark is a civilian freighter, has anyone considered the legal ramifications of using it to ferry Starfleet flagged fighters which may be used for offensive purposes?"[...] [...]He turned to Kaya, "Nice to meet you. As Ensign Black stated, we have a selection of fighters here that we need to narrow down for our carrier project. So far we've established that the fighter doesn't necessarily need a warp-drive, and it should posses good atmospheric as well as vacuum handling. He then gestured to the plate of Risan breakfast delicacies, "Hungry?"[...] "Sorry, fighter?" Kaya narrowed her eyes. They were kitting out fighter vessels? She began to do the math on why the Mac would need that kind of fire power, but her train of thought was interrupted by a red alert. Then Lieutenant Baker's voice sounded through the comm. And now with the battle stations. Grippen didn't seem alarmed, but Kaya couldn't ignore the shipwide change of plans. Kaya's battle station was in Engineering unless otherwise specified to put out fires both literal and metaphorical. =/\= Som to Engineering, orders? =/\= A superior officer's voice responded. =/\= As you were, Crewman. Stand by for further instructions. =/\=Kaya shrugged and mumbled to herself, "alright, then. Let's make some fighters." She tuned back into the project at hand, to Grippen and Black. Never one to turn down food, Kaya took up some kind of hot pastry thing. Mouth full, she pointed at one of the fighters. "Mmm, that one's going to give you trouble getting back out of atmo. Oh, and those there are supposed to have an integrated quantum gyroscope - really excellent handling." Then Kaya turned her attention the Ark. She leaned back on her heels and pointed at it. "We have this? Where'd we get it?" She had a look on her face.

[ Thea - Bridge, USS Mac] Turning her chair as Isaiah spoke up, had Thea more or less looking directly at the Science officer as she gave him her full focus. His proposal certainly had the Acting XO intrigued, as he then paused for a moment, before going into a little more detail. It certainly had it's advantage as the enemy fleet, wouldn't be expecting one Mac never mind three, not unless they had been monitoring the communications. Then again that was only an assumption at that point, considering they seemed more focused on retrieving the Royal Family and their civil war. Of course given that these people were pre warp gave them a potential complication, in terms of the Prime Directive and not for the first time silently cursed Captain Leather Pants for getting himself in this kind of situation. As Thea pondered over the suggestion from Isaiah, she then shifted towards S'Riia who added her own input to the Scientist's idea as to how it would work. Then as the Sec/Tac officer continued and mentioned the status of the royal ship and how the distraction, could mean that a successful rescue with safety measures in place. Thea saw no reason, not to go ahead and didn't take long to answer both of them. " Go ahead Mr Quinn, get it set up as quickly as you can, with the time we have and Petty Officer, have a Security team sent to the Cargo Bay, so they're in place for when we beam those from the Royal ship over".

=/\= Baker to Aella, acknowledged, we'll do all we can to assist and to also rescue your Captain, please hold on, until we can get to you =/\= It wasn't ideal, but there wasn't much that the Mac could do until they got there, apart from being as ready as possible and prepare to execute whatever suitable plan, that wouldn't get them all killed. tag Thomas Jett, Isaiah Quinn, Alex Graham, Damian Oerstadt[Bridge-USS MAC] “Understood commander Baker”He was preparing to drop them out of warp and reduce the speed to impulse. He waited until they reached them. Timing was important when it came to coming out of warp. He listened in to see what the plan was going to be. He perfectly understood it and how it was going to happen. However he turned his focus to what he had to do and what’s going on in front of him. As he saw that they were getting close to the Falcon he let everyone know that they were coming out of warp as he reduced the speed to impulse. “We are going to be dropping out of warp.”Tag: Thea Baker
