From his response, Kova sensed a great deal of bravado, almost arrogance as he stated that he didn't need cosmetic alterations. She didn't disagree. His appearance was pleasing to the eye. He introduced himself and also stated that he was half Orion. She had her own suspicions that he was a hybrid, but it wasn't something one asked about on a whim. Again, his confidence seemed to volunteer the information, especially since he claimed that she wanted to know. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she continued to look at him. "I'm Kova," she said introducing herself, "and you're full of yourself." If everything he'd said was true, then perhaps he had every right to be. There was a great deal she wanted to know, but you didn't ask those sorts of questions to complete strangers. So, she decided to proceed with a different line of questioning. "What are you doing here? I haven't seen you around the station before."It was a big station. She certainly couldn't claim to have seen every person that had set foot on the station since she'd been there. However, she'd like to think that if there was another Andorian on the station that their path's would cross. Both Shavan and her own certainly had. And perhaps, it wouldn't be for the last time either. I would like to try some of these foods. It looks like a feast we have at Festival. He could see that others were already partaking, but for the sake of courtesy, he turned to Judy. Commander, I believe I will avail myself, and perhaps go introduce myself to those fascinating blue-ish people with the stalks on their heads.
I wonder what makes them blue, he murmured to himself as he stepped carefully over to one of the laden tables of food and began sniffing carefully at the different dishes. He made several selections, then made his way to Kova and Shavan. Greetings! he said cheerfully. I am SilverTail to-Ennien.At Kova’s comment that he was full of himself he just shrugged, unapologetic but also not wanting to overdo it. If he acted that way it was partly as a defense against people far ruder than her. Or maybe it was just the aforementioned Orion side coming out. He had spent most of his life on Orion, and while they were not known for being kind, one thing the Orions were known for was being attractive and flaunting it. “I haven't been here long. I was just stationed to the Mac.” He wondered what Kova did here. But before he could elaborate, or return the question, he sensed someone else approaching to join them. And suddenly found himself face to face with one of the honored guests. He turned to the visitor, not entirely without interest. “Hello. I’m Shavan Th’zhaar.” he used his full name in an echo of Silvertail’s own greeting. He was not sure if there was anything else he should do, and suddenly found himself wishing that he’d read the briefing about the visitors more thoroughly. Tag Isaiah Quinn Ozu Saya

K'oshor, son of Khorshurk, of the House of K'tollava stood in front of the felinoids, and the Sivaoans. He waited as one of the honored guests moved toward him now. He had done his homework, and had read up on their culture. They liked songs, and stories. He nodded toward Two Dawns with a slight nod. “It’s a great honor to meet you as well Two Dawns,” he told Two Dawns. "For my race honor means great respect," he told Two Dawns. Another had greeted him, which only made him even more honored. He smiled, turned toward Judy for a slight moment to nod in her direction real quick. To tell her that he got this. He had a hobby in studying other alien cultures, and he would honor his new Commander today as well. He would be honored to present himself in front of their honored guests this day. He allowed for one of them to greet him in their own way. He moved to hit his fist against his own chest. This was after all a traditional Klingon greeting, and an honorable one for his own race. In return, he did this to Two Dawns as well. “I greet you as well Two Dawns, and you as well SilverTail to-Ennien in the way of my own people,” he told them, bowing to them in some form of respect. His own race did this often. He turned once more to the one who called himself SilverTail to-Ennien, and said. “I am Klingon, a proud race of warrior’s who also tell stories, and sing of the great things they have done. There is no ignorance on your part SilverTail to-Ennien, as you simply wish to know who I am. I find this honorable as it is a custom of my people to find it honorable to tell others of who we are,” he told SilverTail to-Ennien. He spoke more. He would later tell a story perhaps. Or, maybe he would play and tell a story. he liked that idea. “My people find telling of our stories honorable, and it would be honorable to be able to share these stories with you through story, and through song. If this pleases you?” He asked this of SilverTail to-Ennien. He looked once more to Judy showing her that he had this well in hand. “I can only speak for myself today,” he further told them. “I do hope you enjoy our food, our music and our stories today. That in itself by way of my own people make it an honorable one,” he said with a nod. He noticed the woman with the camera. He gave Judy a grin and a nod of thanks for explaining it better than he could, but he added. “This camera only helps tell our own stories, friends,” he told the guests. “Our commander would not allow harm to come to you, and nor will I if allowed. I find it honorable where I come from to give other’s protection,” he told them. “It is my duty to those here to keep them safe,” he told them further. “That goes for all of you as well, you after all as it’s said in my own culture, are our honored guests. You honor me, and my house in my culture just by greeting me as you have." He nodded to Evi. He told her this, “I’m honored to allow you to take my photo here today greeting our new friends, as this day will be told in Klingon as an honorable one from my own mouth if need be,” he proclaimed for all to hear.
Tag: Ozu Saya (the honored guest) Soft Tag: Judith Eastman [NPCs - Evi Hugo and Sivaoans] Evi immediately started taking pictures, moving back so that she could catch more people in the frame at once. As she moved about, she caught something unusual in the background of one of her shots and zoomed in to see a giant of a man snubbing out a cigar on his tongue. She pressed down the button on her camera to get several quick shots. Afterwards, she shook her head as she scrolled through the pictures. What a story that could make. Evi would have to see about talking to the man. She'd need to get his permission, anyway, to use any of the pictures. Meanwhile, Two Dawns and SilverTail listened with interest while K'oshor expounded upon his own culture. It seemed they had some things in common, and SilverTail said, Ensign Kk'oshshor, son of Kkhorshshurkk, of the Housse of Kk'tollava, we would be pleased to hear some of your stories. You should speak to Sundancer; he is our bard. He will want to trade songs with you.

She'd been curious what sort of natural environment they could possibly have in space. She had to admit to being impressed, though she could see ways to improve it. The chief engineer had done much to make their quarters as comfortable as possible as well. Two Dawns saw the engineer crouching down, speaking to something that looked like a large rock. Her ears flicked that way, and she could hear a voice coming from the rock. There were such strange people here. She'd never imagined that there would be such variety. Two Dawns had doubts that this whole endeavor would be successful, but she'd agreed to come along as one of Sivao's best architects. These people wanted to settle a planet without disturbing the native species; she was the best one to help them do that. SilverTail had convinced her to come, at least for this initial trip.

Mabel Henriksen - Park, Deck 6]Judy allowed the conversation to unfold for a bit, letting Ensign K'oshor have a bit of the spotlight. Certainly, he had an aptitude for it, and she wasn't one to constrain it. Then, the conversation rolled to music, as it had done before. "I believe Sundancer is the fellow over there," she told K'oshor, gently pointing out the individual in question. "I think we'd do well to make a little music, all together. As they say, even where words fail, music speaks." She then looked to the architect, a more hard-line (compared to the others) member of the delegation. "I think my people over there might prove interesting to talk to, for now. Surely that would be more interesting than hearing me more," she suggested. Then, the First Officer turned to her consort. "Can you get our instruments, dearest?" she asked him. "Of course," he replied, and then made his way to do just that. Judy took over grandchild-watching. Mabel continued to stand nearby Judy, not taking much of an active role. It was easier for her.

[NPC - Sundancer to-Srallansre - Park]Sundancer wasn't sure how to take the omission of his second name by this probably-a-human. Among his people, such a thing would be a grave insult, but humans danced to their own tune. His tail bristled slightly as he thought of how the more traditional members of the delegation would react. "Sundancer to-Srallansre, but you may call me Sundancer," he said to her, and then examined the "ukulele". It was an interesting, small instrument. Somewhere in the back of her brain (a very dark, distant place), Rio recalled something from the extensive, exhausting briefings about using full names, and contemplated trying to repeat it, but then he gave her leave to stay with 'Sundance', which was far safer all around, and she gave him a grateful nod. "I am a bard, what you may call a musician. My people's traditions and histories are passed through stories and songs," he explained. "Is this ukkulele like your Earth guitars?" "Yes, yes, it's in the same family as guitars, essentially played in the same way." She grinned and nodded. "Sort of a 'poor-man's guitar, easier to pack around." Then she thought over his comment on bard-ism, and tried to explain, "'Bard' is an archaic term for us now in music, but yes, they kept the history and lore. Now, we have ballads that tell stories, then other sorts of songs that tell about emotions, feelings, opinions...life in general."Funny, but these were things she hadn't really thought about, music was music and songs were songs, expressions of the artist. "You play drums? Is the drum an accompaniment, or is that your primary music?" Of course, in most 'Earth' music, drums augmented and accentuated, keeping the tempo and adding drama, but rarely carried the tune. [NPC - Sundancer to-Srallansre - Park]"Then you had a profession like our bards once," Sundancer replied simply. It seemed many societies had had bards in their earlier phases, and then did away with the concept in favor of writing. "We have a variety of instruments, but the most popular of them are our lutes. Drums are not a common choice for our bards, and usually not the primary instrumentation," he then shared. "I am, in fact, what you would call a maverick. I'm not a typical bard."Sundancer shared this all openly. He had not come here to be a typical Sivaoan, but to meet the Federation.

"No harm in that," Rio declared, grinning. "Making music is such an individual thing, and I know at least Humans have a way of using whatever they can get their hands on if they don't have proper instruments.' Spoons, bones, combs, heck, she'd seen bagpipes made from a plastic bag and recorders! "The uke is like a lute's country cousin, I guess." She chuckled. "More...I don't know, I guess it's less sophisticated a sound...higher-pitched." The discussion was making her think about music in a more analytical way than she had before, and she realized there was far more to it than she could explain. Maybe if there was time, she could get permission to use the holodeck? "Do you want to try to play something with me?"Judith Eastman

[ Leanna & Ariana - Private Quarters, Deck 15] " Mama, can I take Flick with me?" Ari asked as Lea finished putting on the lilac dress that her Auntie Flick, had bought along with the mermaid doll, that was currently sat on the bed and who the three year old had decided to name after her Mum's best friend. Considering that the doll had never left her daughter's side ever since Flick had paid her first visit to meet her Godson, Lea wasn't about to tell her no. " Sure, you can Sweetheart, but keep tight hold of her, okay?"." I will, Mama" Ari promised, as she leaned in for a hug, which was immediately received and returned by Leanna, happy to have this moment with her daughter, wanting to make sure, that she didn't feel left out. " That's my girl, now you can play with your toys for a little longer, until it's time to go".Ari nodded, picked up Flick and then returned to her toys, as if she hadn't paused to get dressed. Lea smiled, thinking it would be nice to just to stay there and watch her play, but that wouldn't get her very far. So she left Ari and went into her and Fells' room, noticing her Boyfriend holding their now sleeping son in his arms, as she quietly passed them. Once inside, she picked up the large Brown stuffed bear, that Flick had gotten Aven and placed it back into the crib, before sitting down on the bed. She had no idea what she was going to wear, considering that she wasn't quite back to her pre pregnancy weight. Not that it mattered right now, especially with the black circles, the lack of sleep and wondering whether it was time to stop breastfeeding or not. That was something to think about later, grateful for a moment to be herself, especially as thought back on the last four weeks. Visits from Flick, who had also gotten Aven, the most gorgeous blanket, with his name embroidered on it, along with a personalised keepsake box, visits from their family and friends, the gifts, baked good and meals, had been so appreciated and just showed, how much she valued having them in her life. If it wasn't for them and the love and support she got from Fells, she wouldn't of coped as well as she had and would never forget that. However sitting there, wasn't going to get her ready for the reception at the park, even if it was tempting to lie back and grab forty winks. So she forced herself off the bed and walked to their closet, deciding on a long blue patterned dress, that flowed perfectly and more importantly was comfortable and not restrictive. Once she had stripped and put that on, Lea then settled for a pair of flat black sandals, leaving her long hair down and added a hint of makeup. That was more to do with trying to look normal and not sleep deprived, as she finished with some neutral lipstick, before leaving the bedroom. " I'm ready, Babe, Ari is too but I said that she could play for a little longer, until we're set to go" she said quietly as she got the stroller prepped, along with the diaper bag.

[...] Greetings! he said cheerfully. I am SilverTail to-Ennien.After SilverTail left, Two Dawns took a good look around at this 'park'. At Kova’s comment that he was full of himself he just shrugged, unapologetic but also not wanting to overdo it. [NPC - Kova Sh'qaleq - Park, Deck 6, Front Ear Station] She listened as Shavan revealed that he hadn't been here long, and had just been stationed aboard the Mac. So, it seemed he was a new arrival. That certainly explained why she hadn't seen him around before, but that was the only question that had been answered. "One could have said the same for you," Kova remarked. "Of all the people here, you chose to engage the only other Andorian." Her head tilted to the side. He may not be purely Andorian, but despite his protests he seemed to embody some of their core behaviors. Though, their exclusiveness came to an end when one of their distinguished guests approached them and introduced himself. Kova had been hoping to avoid such an encounter. After all, she wasn't here in an official capacity. Or rather, she wasn't supposed to be. He introduced himself as SilverTail, and Shavan quickly followed up with an introduction of his own. Well, at this point, walking away would certainly appear awkward. "Welcome to Front Ear Station," Kova greeted him. "I am Kova Sh'qaleq, originally from the planet Andoria." She felt it prudent to tell her planet of origin. She had no idea what all they knew of the Federation, but perhaps having some point of reference could be helpful.

Michael, meanwhile, continued his conversation. "Grandpa actually makes the best cookies, but Grandma's pizza is the best in the Quadrant," the child answered. He looked around, realizing he should probably rejoin his grandparents, but then remembered something else, particularly when Sven arrived. "We should get food! Grandma and Grandpa made some, and I helped!"The same childlike enthusiasm, coupled with immense pride, continued to radiate from the 6-year-old.

[Apartment-Fells] Fells opened his eyes from his 3 second snooze, a little startled that he had fallen asleep. Instantly he looked at Aven but the baby was sound asleep in his arm. "Oh, man. I fell asleep." Then he admired Lea when she stood in front of him in her dress. "Wow, all prettied up...just for me?" He smiled at her and yawned. "I'd kiss you but..." He then kissed the babies forehead. "He's sooo cuddly...."
Not too much later they had put Aven in the stroller and gathered Ari. The walk was quite long but getting out of the apartment was a plus. Suddenly Fells noticed many other people with strollers or carrying babies of all species. "Is it me or have people here started having a lot of fun 9 months ago?" He joked just before they arrived. Ari tugged on his hand. "Can I go ahead?" "No, Ari. There are so many people here, we'll loose you." He looked around but, of course, didn't spot any familiar faces.

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, Grandchildren, & Ens. She held Max's hand as K'oshor introduced himself, and was then approached by one of the Sivaoans, and Evi. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Lt. Harmon and Ens. Hudson, apparently going together (which looked a little suspicious, to be sure), but was drawn away from that tangent by the presence of the delegates and their conversation. "Photography is a method we have of recording a picture, using technology, to serve as a reminder and memento from a particular moment," she explained to the Sivaoans. "We've been keeping photographs, to name just one example, of these little munchkins, my grandchildren, to see how they've been growing."Meanwhile, Max began to cast his eyes about for Michael. The little kid had hung behind with Sven's friend, and that may not have been ideal. By leaving some of the guests' questions unanswered, Judy gave Ensign K'oshor a chance to shine. He seemed enthusiastic enough, and she was there just in case things went pear-shaped. He was greatful to Judy very much so forgiving him this moment to shine. [Park - Harmon & Hudson]As the woman who introduced herself as Cara spoke, Hudson was internally horrified. Ew, she thought as the prospect of being her "strong, silent" boss' partner. "Oh that's Harmon...I mean, Matthew...he's my...uh, friend," she said wondering if 'friend' would be better than 'boss'. She was used to calling him Harmon, rather than by rank and it felt odd to her calling him by his first name, which she hadn't done before. "He's not good with people," she said jokingly. She soon started wonder if Cara was implying them to be together, as she started to overthink it she realised Cara had been vague. "Hi, just Matt is fine. Nice to meet you," he said simply with a nod. As the Bolian spoke, Harmon realised he'd found himself in the presence of psychologists, his least favourite people in Starfleet. He'd gotten quite good at avoiding them in his time.
"We're from ah..." she paused briefly as she went to reply to the Bolian, wondering if she was allowed to talk about their job before realising they usually wore uniforms so of course she could, "Intelligence."
One of the guests, their name eluded Hudson, then approached her taking a pastry. "I think they're a...uh boreeka I think. I think the Commander makes them I've heard...it's quite spicy though but I kinda like it," she explained to the cat-like guest.

"He's sooo cuddly...." Not too much later they had put Aven in the stroller and gathered Ari. [ Leanna - Private Quarters ----> Park, Deck 6] Leaving their quarters was very much like an organised military operation since Aven's arrival, but once they got outside and into the familiar and openness of the station, it always felt good. As they made their way towards the park, with Ari either holding onto the stroller or her mother's hand, Lea had to admit that she loved these family outings and was looking forward to experiencing the reception that was being held to welcome the Sivoans and their counterparts. It reminded her of when she used to organise and help with similar events back on Sierra and her love for learning about other cultures, through not only talking to them but also their food, music and sharing stories. No this was definitely something that would be beneficial to all of them and would also give the Betazoid the chance to catch up with others from the station and introduce both Aven and Ari to them. As they reached their destination and Fells made a joke in reference to the number of strollers and such, Lea grinned, before Ari asked if she could go ahead and was promptly told that she couldn't. Fells was right they didn't want her running off, especially with so many people about and again was glad that she wasn't on her own. " Daddy Fells is right Ari, stay close to us and we'll have lots of fun" she replied, as Ari returned her hand to the stroller and held on. " Good girl" she said as she turned to Fells, " Where would you like to start?, the food tables or should we find a spot to sit on the grass?".

"Do you want to try to play something with me?"Judith Eastman [NPC - Sundancer to-Srallansre - Park]Sundancer's tail looped slightly at that offer. "I would be honored to share songs with you... Rio," he answered, slightly hesitant at the very short name but saying it nonetheless. "Among my people, our songs are highly prized. It would be an honor if you share a song with me, and allow me to try and accompany you."Sundancer placed his drum on the ground, and crouched at it, positioned so that he could play with his front limbs and his tail. Without an understanding of Sivaoan mannerisms, even, one could tell that he was giddy.

"My name is Shadow of Srallansre, from the planet Eeiauo. Who are you?" he asked of them.

"I'd be honored to tell these stories," he told SilverTail. There would be a moment for that, he thought. "I will be glad to share a song with Sundancer, as it would be my honor," he told SilverTail. He bowed to SilverTail and stepped back. He had his moment to shine, and now he'd let other's introduce themselves. He turned to look around the room. First things first, he told himself. He moved toward Judy, and Max. "Hello to you both," he said. He was now thinking of a story he may tell when given the moment to do so. He looked to the food table. "The food looks great," he told both Judy, and Max. "I am honored to be here. Thank you for having me. I enjoy the study of new cultures so this excites me," he told them. "How are you both?" He asked. He was looking forward to speaking with Sundancer about music, and sharing a song. He was looking forward to telling a story, and to eating as well.

"We're old, like always," she told him. "We're doing quite well," Max cut in, holding the couple's instruments. "How are you?"Judy led them towards where the bard and Rio Sosa were, pushing little Benjamin's stroller. For all her complaints about her age, Judy wheeled the stroller about gracefully and steadily, and the grandchild, in a Starfleet uniform onesie, looked very placid in there. "May we join you?" she asked Rio and the bard as they reached their location.

| Deck 6, Park || lt. Sven Aune || npc- Xander McGrath |Sven's stomach churned. Whatever was in that nasty cigar wasn't agreeing with him. Green in the face he made his way back to Xander who was squatting down talking to Judy's grandson. "Hey, Xander. I see you met Michael. Glad you're making friends."Xander looked up at the large security officer. "Are you okay? You look pale?" he asked. Sven nodded. "Ya. I just need to rest for a second."Xander's brows fell "What happened?""I put out a cigar."Xander shook his head, "Light weight." he turned his eyes to the you ngster, "We were just about to get some food, weren't we sport?"
Sven looked as if he was about to throw up, "I'll pass." he said leaning an arm against a tree. His stomach roiled again. "Maybe you should go see a doctor or something."Sven nodded. "Ya."Meanwhile Xander went with Michael to the table of food. He watched the black Siaosian eat something, and then quickly regret it. Whatever it was, it was hot. "Did your nan bring pizza?" he asked Michael. "She didn't bring pizza, but she brought all sorts of other food," Michael answered. "I should join her. I'm a dip-lo-mat too!"The young boy grabbed a few muffins, identified his grandfather's grey hair, and then made towards him, while eyeing his new friend. "You can come too. Grandma says she serves all of the station!"

Tag Isaiah Quinn Ozu Saya [...] Greetings! he said cheerfully. I am SilverTail to-Ennien.After SilverTail left, Two Dawns took a good look around at this 'park'. At Kova’s comment that he was full of himself he just shrugged, unapologetic but also not wanting to overdo it. If he acted that way it was partly as a defense against people far ruder than her. Or maybe it was just the aforementioned Orion side coming out. He was not sure if there was anything else he should do, and suddenly found himself wishing that he’d read the briefing about the visitors more thoroughly.
Tag: Shavan Th'zhaar , Ozu Saya (SilverTail) [NPCs - SilverTail to-Ennien and Evi Hugo - Park - Deck 6] Evi trailed after SilverTail, thinking that his interaction with the two Andorians would make for some interesting photos. SilverTail dipped his head at each of the antennaed people, and repeated their names, Shshavan Th’zhaar, Kova Shsh'qqaleqq, with some difficulty. His tail coiled slightly as he picked up one one Judy's cheese bourekas and popped it into his mouth whole, briefly displaying a mouthful of sharp teeth. After a couple of quick chomps, he swallowed and made a contented sound. Oh, that's quite good. If you haven't tried any of the food yet, you should, he said pleasantly to his current companions. He went on, I hope you won't find me very rude, but I'd like to ask about those stalks on your heads. Are they sensory organs? I'm a biologist, so my curiosity is somewhat professional. He pointed toward their heads with the tip of his tail, as if they might not know what he was referring to. Evi snapped a few pictures as SilverTail ate, loving the candid shots. She paused before turning the camera toward the Andorians with a question on her face. I'm sorry to interrup, but I'm Evi Hugo, with the Federation News Network. Would you mind if I take some holo-photos for a photo essay I'll be working on?

| Park. Deck 6 || npc Opal Peridot. |"If you wish, dear. A toddler huh? Oh, I bet he keeps you busy! And they do the cutest things!"
Opal did the Horta equivalent of a nod. "I heard they live in ecological harmony with their environments. I'd be fascinated to learn this as well and marry it with Horta culture. We try to minimize impact on our excavations. You know. Because we live there!" [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, Grandchildren, & Ens. [ MCPO Ozu Saya & Family - Park - Deck 6] You should definitely take advantage of the opportunity to meet some of them here, and attend some of their lectures and workshops if you have the opportunity. They should be fascinating. Saya glanced up as she noted movement of Judy's clan over to the instruments. She put her hands on her knees in preparation of pushing to her feet. It looks like we're getting ready to make some music, and that is one of my cues. I need to collect my mate and son and join them. It was a pleasure speaking to you. Please enjoy the rest of the festivities. She stood slowly, acknowledging in her own mind that her body didn't particularly like extended periods of squatting anymore, but it had been worth it for the conversation with the fascinating being. Saya found her way toward Kyo, getting close enough to get his attention with a wave before diverting toward the collection of instruments and getting her sleek cello out of its case. It was a slim, black instrument, perfect for travel. She'd played it since she'd been a child, when it had been a little big for her; now it was perfect. Evekh protested leaving his running around until Daddy told him they were going to play music, then the toddler ran over enthusiastically. Mama, my 'zoo! he called excitedly. Anticipating this, Saya had pulled his little wooden kazoo from the pocket of her cello case and presented it to Evekh immediately. He grabbed it and started blowing happily, knowing that when Mama and Daddy and Auntie Judy and Unca Max started playing, he'd have to play quietly and match their music. Even at three, the child had an impressive sense of timing and rhythm. Kyo assessed his options and said, I'm going to start with the tivara. Little less time and labor intensive for this setting. I'll get the bassoon out later if people want to hear it.Excellent plan, Saya said as she made a quick tuning check before leading her family over to the other musicians. Kyo grabbed a chair and placed it for Saya, then stood behind her so that he wouldn't be blocking anyone's view of the other players. Judy, Max, Petty Officer Sosa, Sundancer. I'm glad you've found your way to the musical part of the event. This is my mate, Kyo and our son, Evekh.

She didn't understand these people's roles - they were bards in addition to the jobs they did on this massive camp in space? And they all seemed to have different names to call one another, but nobody seemed to care. She heard a new group enter behind her and turned to see two adults with a small child and a sort of rolling cart in front of them. She presumed the larger ones were adults based on her observations thus far. She blinked hard and tensed as she realized the cart contained what appeared to be a very, very new baby. Her breaths came fast and sharp as she turned her back abruptly on the family.
