[Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - LZ2, Kerelia] [...] They hadn't been standing there long before someone else spoke. Isaiah's eyes fell upon a woman who seemed to be suffering from a narrow field of vision, as she joked that she was going to have to ask Thea to leave. She then stated that no one was allowed to be more beautiful than the bride. "Well, that is going to be a problem, isn't it?" Isaiah said as he turned to smile at Thea. Kate then introduced herself to them both, but Isaiah was pretty certain that it was only his vicinity to Thea that had earned him the benefit of her identity as the bestperson for the ceremony. She also stated that if (Thea) needed anything, that all that was needed was to ask. Isaiah didn't feel threatened, but he had to applaud Kate's confidence. "Thanks, Kate," he replied with a smile. Perhaps it was instinct, or perhaps it wasn't entirely subconscious, but Isaiah could feel his fingers moving to interlock with Thea's. "We'll keep that in mind."[Landing Zone 2 - Beach] [...] Her response whilst honest, also came with a hint of playfulness that she always used around him. However when they were then approached by a rather pretty looking woman wearing purple, Thea's attention was on her as she then informed Thea that she would have to leave. At first, the Redhead was a little perplexed until she realised that she was being chatted up, which only made her grin. Thea wasn't naive and knew that her comments were directed more towards her and yet appreciated the attention that she was being given. Knowing that if she had been on her own she would of been more receptive and allow herself to see where it went, as it wasn't the first time that she had gotten involved with a woman. But she wasn't and Thea knew that Isaiah was the one for her, still grinning despite herself at not only the attempt but also Isaiah's response. " I suppose it is" she remarked, playfully before Kate introduced herself and made the offer that if they or Thea specifically needed anything to let her know. Again it would of been tempting, if that's what she wanted to explore but before she could respond, Thea was left pleasantly surprised when Isaiah not only spoke first but also reached for her hand. Her heart quickened at the gesture, allowing her fingers to connect with his, as she then spoke. " Yes, thank you and we will". [Bestperson Kate Morelli - Gift Table, LZ-2 Beach]As focused as she was on the Peachy doctor, Kate Morelli did not miss the not-so-subtle display or the clasped and then entwined hands. She grinned, the discovery not at all taking any of the wind from her sails. It had been a bit of a stab in the dark, a very bold one, but normally two people arriving together to a wedding suggested some manner of partnership. "Roger that," she replied easily, taking the hint. She gestured toward a couple of servers milling around, and then toward the seats. "Have a drink, and sit wherever you'd like. The bride and groom want guests all mixed up together." She began to back away, spying a large, naked cat appearing behind them. "See you both on the dance floor later!"The very angry looking creature seemed intent on Greg's group, so Morelli turned her attention to the creature who watched, and looked less likely to tear her asunder for saying 'hi'. "Greetings," she said as she approached. "Do you need help with anything?"
Tags: Thea Baker & Isaiah Quinn (exit), Judith Eastman (Sundancer to-Srallansre). [ Brooke & Leanna - Bride's Tent, LZ2] Both Lea and Brooke grinned as Flick answered the Betazoid first, the Bride especially slightly relieved that her soon to be Sister in Law and close friend was on lookout duty. It wasn't as if she hadn't wanted to look out and try to spot her beloved Greg, far from it as he was the only one on her mind right now. It felt as though she should pinch herself to make sure that this was real but the butterflies and excitement that was currently coursing through her veins was proof enough and would be a complete bag of nerves if it wasn't for Lea, Flick and her Dad who had naturally wandered off to allow the girls to have some fun. " Make that two, Lea and that kind of bite sounds good to me" she replied with a hint of her usual playfulness as she turned round to face them both. Flick wasn't far off with her description of the different landing zones that had so far been searched and catalogued, grateful that they had that information before they had visited the planet before settling on the beach as the perfect place for their informal and relaxed wedding. " Coming right up" Lea said responding to them both, glad that she had decided to take advantage of having her parents visit. Yes she had struggled knowing that she may never have her own wedding but now she was here, it had helped with the hurt. Shaking off the negative thoughts, she began to mix the drinks, giving her focus in getting them right. before Flick then informed them that the guests had started to arrive. Lea couldn't help but smile, which seemed to grow a little brighter at the mention of the lack of clouds, the fresh breeze and how Greg looked like he was ready to make Brooke an Ellis. Brooke felt her heart quicken and found herself smiling too as it was infectious, as was the teasing comment that followed. " That's okay, I knew what I was getting into and I can't wait to finally be an Ellis".Her tone was fun yet with a hint of anticipation underneath as Lea finished preparing their drinks as Flick then asked what they should toast too. Thanking Lea, Brooke picked hers up as Lea was the one to make a suggestion. " To love, happiness and one hell of a good party". [Felicity Ellis - Bride's Tent, LZ-2]"Cheers!" She said, happy to drink to that toast. She raised her glass, clinked it against her friends', and took a sip. "Oh, delicious," she murmured with appreciation, enjoying the kick of the extra alcohol content, but also the flavours Leanna had managed to coax from the combination of fresh fruits she'd used. She took a few more moments to enjoy more sipping of the cocktail, before she put it down again and addressed Brooke. "I think it might be time to get you into your dress."The voices outside, once sounding so far away, seemed to grow in volume. Felicity smiled at the two women, her pulse quickening as the atmosphere intensified with the air of excitement.

[ Brooke & Leanna - Bride's Tent, Landing Zone 2] Brooke had simply grinned at the toast that Lea had delivered, knowing that she wasn't wrong to this being one spectacular and fun party, at least that's what her and Greg had hoped for, with the way they had planned it. " Here Here, I couldn't of said it better myself" Brooke acknowledged after Flick and both her and Lea had clinked glasses with her Sister in Law. Even tasting the delicious concoction had the Bride feeling a little giddy, murmuring her own appreciation to not only the kick it delivered but also the flavour. This was the moment that they had all been waiting for as Brooke had kept it a secret from everyone, including them, which Lea didn't blame her for, in order to get a more perfect and genuine reaction to whatever she had chosen. The emotions in the tent and beyond were almost infectious to the Betazoid, buffering and uplifting her away from any sorrow as she smiled at her friends. " Flick's right and I can't wait to see it".The soon to be Mrs Ellis beamed at the women who meant so much to her. " I can't argue with that and eek it's time". Now the nerves and butterflies began to kick up a notch as she moved off to get unveil it, happy that she had decided to go barefoot, with her long hair down and slightly curled, then once her dress was on, she only needed to add the specially created purple and green flower to her hair.

[Gregory Ellis - Seating Area, LZ-2 Beach]Following many quick glances beyond his tent to the gradually building crowd as guests arrived, Greg ventured outside. Buoyed by the couple of shots and Morelli's threats pep talk, he spotted the Eastman-Williamses amongst a few others, and made his way directly toward them. His bestperson split temporarily from his company and moved toward a young couple, ready to engage and direct them to the bar or their preferred seating. The event itself wasn't stiff or formal, and so the groom and his small party would play multiple roles before proceedings started, though the bride and her back-up were under strict instruction not to emerge until everyone was situated. Greg waved over a server carrying a tray of champagne flutes and accompanied him toward the group. "Welcome, everyone!" He greeted, his voice steady and his open arms effusive as he hid his anxiety with all the ease of an experienced commander. "Thank you so much for coming. Brooke and I really appreciate it. Anyone for champagne? Orange juice?""Judy, Max, lovely to see you, and Saya and Kyo, isn't it? Flick mentions you often." He turned toward the young man wearing linen trousers and shirt, and drew a blank as to his name. Instead of trying to force the answer to come to him, he offered his hand. "Hi, welcome. I'm Greg Ellis." [NPC - SilverTail to-Ennien - Kerelia - LZ2] SilverTail materialized on the beach, holding his breath after his first trip in the transporter. As soon as he exhaled and drew in a breath of the air around him, his senses exploded with scents and sounds. Ears swiveling and whiskers twitching, he noted the table where other guests seemed to be leaving packages. With a flick of his bare tail, the Sivaoan carried his own gift, as he'd been informed was expected, to the table. SilverTail had wrapped several brightly-colored usefuls around a small wooden carving he'd done of a slightly abstract tree, the form flowed up from a flat base into slim branches that twisted and flowed. The Sivaoan had a blue, green and gold useful draped around his furless body. It wasn't strictly necessary in the warm atmosphere, but he liked the festive air it gave him. While his own people were accustomed to his hairless state, the nakedness could be shocking for others. Anyway, he thought the colors stood out quite nicely against his black and pink patched skin. He'd been pleased to be able to attend this event in addition to making their first visit to the planet's surface. The whole idea of a marriage had been a fascinating and confusing concept to the Sivaoans as they didn't practice it themselves. They chose a mate and had children if they wished; but partners rarely spent more than a few years together, might have a couple of litters together, but one was more common. Children were cared for and indulged by the entire camp until they were old enough to take care of themselves. It was wonderful to be in a natural environment. The holodecks were passable, but the Sivaoans could still feel the walls around them. Something about how sounds reverberated. SilverTail caught a whiff of alcohol and wrinkled his nose. They'd been warned that it would be present, but he'd decided that the experience was worth the discomfort. Seeing Commander Eastman and Chief Ozu, SilverTail headed their direction, waving his tail in greeting. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - LZ-2, Kerelia]The young Ensign's misstep was one that used to upset Max (easy-going as he usually was) 20 years ago, when he was still getting his bearings in this relationship. At the time, he saw it as reducing him to an extension of his spouse, but he had come to terms with it. Two decades in, it was even amusing, and he cracked a smile. "My last name is 'Williams'," he corrected gently, showing the same kindness and long fuse that his wife had. "Eastman is her name."Judy's attention was focused on the rapidly growing gathering. "Oh, it's our pleasure to be here, Greg," she told the groom. "We wouldn't miss it for the world, as much as the world did try."Judy tapped her fingers on her cane, indicating to what she had referred. "In any case, we were just talking about names. Brooke is taking yours, right?" she asked. Unable to offer Saya and Kyo a hug, and too caught in the flow of conversation, she slipped in a smile and a nod. Max noticed the hairless Sivaoan, and offered a little wave in return. [ Ens Joshua Niles - LZ-2, Kerelia ]The whole situation was a little overwhelming to the young Ensign. He was surrounded by a lot of people who dwarfed him with their seniority, and in whose social circles he was an outcast. Even his life growing up in political circles, complete with entertaining and attending events didn't quite prepare him for being a full-fledged participant. After all, even as a teenager expected to attend, he was supposed to have only minimal contact with the grown-ups at the functions his parents attended, even their own parties in their own home, and he was expected to stick with the younger crowd... But now he didn't have the other room with the other youngsters to escape to. And, would it be fitting for him to do so now as an adult, let alone a Starfleet officer, albeit a very junior one? And, of course, he had to shove that deck shoe-clad foot of his in is mouth all the way to his knee with how he addressed Commander Eastman's husband. Oh, this was a great start. That, and the man who introduced himself as the groom, whom he'd yet to greet. However, he did graciously take a flute of champagne, and took a deep breath to steady himself. "My apologies, Mister Williams," politely replied Niles. Well, at least he didn't bite his head off for it; it was amazing how many people expected folk to be psychic and know such things on an initial meeting... As for the groom, the Ensign did remember he bore the rank of Commander as well, and he took the proffered hand, if a little belatedly. "Ensign Joshua Niles, Sir. Congratulations on your wedding, Sir, and I am most grateful for the invitation." Perhaps the young man was not exactly at ease in this particular setting, but he certainly did remember his courtesies. And, when in doubt, it never hurt to be possibly overly formal. Well, if it did at least it hurt a great deal less than being too informal! And with the arrival of the Sivaoan, Joshua's ability to multitask between the various parties was getting strained, so he simply offered the cat-like alien a nod. Her confidence was hardly shaken as she told them to have a drink and sit wherever they liked as she left them to mingle. Though, not without a subtle warning that their paths would cross once more on the dance floor. Isaiah smiled as he watched Kate move past himself and Thea to greet more guests. "She's an interesting one," Isaiah said with a smile. "Wonder which one of us she'll ask to dance first?" He started to move forward, his eyes looking towards one of the nearby servers. "You want something to drink?"

[Beach - LZ2, Kerelia] The gesture may of been instinctive but now that she was holding hands with Isaiah, Thea saw no reason to let go and simply wanted to enjoy the subtlety of making themselves known as a couple. This was the first time they had acknowledged it publicly, at least in front of the others from the Mac and station and yet felt comfortable doing so. Although at Kate's response to their combined gratitude and that they would let her know if they needed anything. Thea doubted that this revelation would put her off, especially when she left them with the promise of seeing them on the dancefloor later. Thea watched her for a moment, admiring her boldness and confidence as she then approached one of the Sivaoans, recognising them instantly from the database, before Isaiah commented that Kate was interesting. She couldn't argue with that, as he smiled and wondered who she would ask to dance first. " I agree she is and I think that will be interesting too, then again she might ask us both" Thea responded, with just a hint of teasing. At the mention of getting a drink, Thea thought that it was a good idea as they were here to enjoy themselves and besides, they may as well indulge a little with such generous hospitality on offer. " Yes please, might as well since we're here to enjoy ourselves".

Her dress carried the stellar theme - it was black starting at the sleeveless shoulders, speckled with small white dots. The color grew gradually lighter, and the stars fewer as they approached the hem of the dress, until the color faded completely to puffy white clouds just above her knees. She took another generous gulp of her cocktail and then moved over toward the staging area with the others. She was setting up the Bridal Playlist when Evi Hugo arrived and stepped inside the tent. "Hi. Evi, isn't it?" Felicity asked with a small wave and arched brow. She didn't know everyone who lived on the Station, that wasn't possible, but she did make an effort for the crew and their families. Evi happened to be rather memorable, mostly thanks to her shock of colourful hair and sense of style, which was now thoroughly on show. "That's a lovely idea." Some candids of the bride as she prepared for the big moment would add an extra dimension to their collection. "Care for a cocktail? We were just about to help this one with the last hurdle." That hurdle being the dress, of course.

I offered to take hers, but I think she likes the idea of being an Ellis." He would have happily given up his name, in fact it might have made things easier to do that, but it wasn't a big deal to him. In the grand scheme of things he was happy to go along with what made Brooke happy. The brief hesitation before Ensign Joshua Niles took his hand was almost a shade awkward, but thankfully the younger man seemed to kick himself into gear. "You're most welcome; the more the merrier. With so many people yet to meet each other, the reception should be an interesting one, no?"'Interesting' in a good, fun way, he hoped, not in a 'drunken wedding fisticuffs' way. He too nodded at the exceedingly grumpy-looking Sivaoan. Keeping his eyes trained upward, he greeted the newcomer. "Hello, welcome. Thank you for coming to celebrate this occasion with us." Greg hadn't been on the Station when the Sivaoan delegation had arrived, but he'd heard a lot about them.

" Yes please, might as well since we're here to enjoy ourselves".[Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - LZ-2, Kerelia] "Oh, I have no doubt about that," Isaiah said in response to her mentioning that Kate would likely ask them both to dance. Of course, he wouldn't put it past her to do just that. "I was actually thinking about what she'd do on a slow number." He paused to consider it a moment. "She seems to enjoy a sense of flair. She may ask me before she asks you." He seemed to allow the notion to linger as he moved to procure a pair of drinks. Handing one of the flutes to Thea, he smiled as he waited for her to take hold of the glass. "Jus so you can think about what you'd be missing out on." He chuckled slightly as he sipped from the glass. "Either way, know that I'll be thinking of you with every sway." He sipped once more and started to stroll a bit, taking in the view as well as the faces of the attendees. "So, are you more familiar with the bride or the groom?"

[ Brooke & Leanna - Bride's Tent, LZ2] Now that it was time to get ready and finally reveal her dress to those in the tent, Brooke could feel her heart beat loudly and the nerves, being replaced by sheer excitement with a mix of adrenaline for good measure. Even the atmosphere seemed to change as Lea and Flick followed her over to the staging area, knowing what this meant and how it wouldn't be long before she got to see Greg. There was an appreciative smile given towards her soon to be Sister in Law, as Flick prepared the playlist, before the trio were joined by Evi, who had graciously accepted to be their photographer for the day. Once Flick had greeted her, Lea then Brooke did the same, as Evi then told them that she would like to get some candid shots, grinning as she teased Brooke, before mentioning what they would be of. As much as Greg would appreciate some more intimate shots, the Bride was of the same opinion as Flick with how lovely an idea it was. " I'd love that, thanks Evi" Brooke said softly, as Flick then offered Evi a cocktail and mentioned what they were about to do. " They've been especially created for today and so far Kerelian Sunrise, seems the perfect name for them" Lea added, ready to mix one should Evi want to try them out. Trying not to be overcome with emotion, Brooke simply beamed happily at them all, taking one last step towards the dress, carefully removing it from the confines of it's protective holder and moved back, so everyone could see it.

Tag: Thea Baker [Beach - LZ2, Kerelia] There was something about the way Isaiah agreed with her, that never ceased to remind her about how lucky she had been to meet him and how their friendship had become more. Besides it seemed as though Kate, had left them with a very similar impression, judging by what he said next. Yet there was no hint of jealousy, because she was secure with how things were between them and besides, it made her grin, especially with how he let his last comment linger as he went to fetch them some drinks. " I agree she does and you never know, she might" she replied with just a hint of teasing again, when he returned and handed her a flute of Champagne. Accepting it with a playful smile, Thea then took a small sip as Isaiah then quipped about how she could think about what she was missing out on, if Kate did dance with him first. Trying not to grin again, but failed miserably as he chuckled slightly, before telling how he would be thinking of her. That made her glow, just with that simple use of words as she looked over at him. " Knowing that you'll be thinking of me, won't make me feel like I'm missing out, if you do dance with her first ..... then again, you'll have me for the rest of the night".It was her turn to let that particular comment linger, as she followed beside him, once more enjoying the view and sharing it with him as he then asked who she was more familiar with. " The Bride, we struck up a friendship after her bakery became one of my favourite places to visit on the station .. she owns the Frontier Bakery & Cafe".Thea didn't have to mention too much else after that as she had often shared some of the delicious pies, cakes and pastries whenever her and Isaiah had met for meals.

"Do you need help with anything?" [NPC - Sundancer to-Srallansre - Sidelines, LZ-2, Kerelia]Sundancer noted the human (probably) approaching him, and tried to appear approachable. Having tried to affect a human smile (and found it physically impossible), he settled on a relaxed posture. "Hello," he greeted. "I'm fine. I'm just observing. These events are very unusual to my people."However talkative Sundancer was, and for all the questions he had, he also had manners. "I am Sundancer to-Srallansre; you may call me Sundancer. What's your name?"

[ Chief Ozu Saya and Domen Kyo - Kerelia - LZ 2] Saya and Kyo materialized on the beach, looking out over the ocean as they appeared. Oh, this is beautiful, Kyo said as he took Saya's arm and they walked across the sand to where they could see a gift on a table. Their own wasn't much - a couple of bottles of springwine from Kyo's family winery - but they didn't know the couple very well, so it was difficult to choose something more personal. It was 2376, their first lot after the end of the war, and quite good. Indeed, Saya agreed, stepping lightly so as not to kick sand into her shoes. She wore a sleeveless, knee-length, pale yellow dress with white flowers on it and yellow flats. She'd taken the time to twist her long hair into a complicated Bajoran fashion that nestled gracefully on the back of her head. Kyo was dressed in similarly light clothes - loose, light green pants with an off-white shirt and comfortable shoes. His fair skin was coated with a good layer of sunscreen that should last through the wedding and reception. There are Judy and Max, Saya said, gesturing to the other couple who were just speaking to another guest. They headed over to greet their friends, Kyo taking short steps to keep pace with his much shorter mate. They made an interesting sight when they were together as he was nearly a foot and a half taller than Saya. [ Ens Joshua Niles - LZ2 - Kerelia ]As he looked about, it would seem that a familiar face had found him and he turned towards the source of the voice. Which, he had to say, took him longer than he would have liked. Under the open sky, without bulkheads for sound to reverberate of in a way that had become so familiar to him given he'd grown so used to being in the enclosed environment of a starship; in fact, he'd even barely been on the station since he had arrived to the area. But then, he saw the source: Commander Eastman herself, accompanied by a man about her own age and the gesture towards him was a clear invitation to join them. As he approached them, he caught sight of Master Chief Ozu and her own other half, and just like that, the young Ensign found himself in the middle of a social gathering by people who clearly knew each other fairly well. And, of course, that meant he had to make his introductions. "Ma'am, Mister Eastman." His words were accompanied by a polite nod, before he turned his head towards the Chief Engineer and her own companion. "Master Chief, Sir." [Cmdr.

Soft tag Ozu Saya [ Brooke & Leanna - Bride's Tent, Landing Zone 2] Brooke had simply grinned at the toast that Lea had delivered, knowing that she wasn't wrong to this being one spectacular and fun party, at least that's what her and Greg had hoped for, with the way they had planned it. Lea couldn't help but follow suit in the grin department, at seeing the reactions from her best friends, delighted that she hadn't lost her touch when it came to creating unique and tasty beverages. "I'm happy that you both like it" she stated, as Flick then addressed Brooke and suggested that it might be time for her to put on her dress. [NPC - Evi HugoEvi ducked into the bride's tent, just in time, it seemed, as the bride and her attendants were about to start getting Brooke into her dress. She snapped several quick pictures without making herself known, knowing the candid shots would be a great addition to the wedding album. Evi had never been to a wedding before, besides her own, and was excited with all the fun and activity. Her ceremony with George had been a quick and quiet affair just before he'd been transferred to Front Ear, as punishment for going AWOL in order to protect Evi from her family. The half-Romulan had changed up her look, dying her usually purple hair a deep blue-black. It was up in two poofs on the top of her head and decorated with tiny crystals that sparkled like stars, with a few tight curls framing her face. Her dress carried the stellar theme - it was black starting at the sleeveless shoulders, speckled with small white dots. The color grew gradually lighter, and the stars fewer as they approached the hem of the dress, until the color faded completely to puffy white clouds just above her knees. Hello, she called cheerfully, stepping all the way inside the tent. I'd like to get some pictures as you get dressed, if you don't mind. No nudity, she added with a teasing smile. I'd like some artistic shots of the fabric and the dress and such. [Felicity Ellis - Bride's Tent, LZ-2]Felicity clapped her hands together and grinned broadly, her delight at getting everything underway and catching sight of this dress evident.

[Gregory Ellis - Seating Area, LZ-2 Beach]"That's commitment," Greg said with something of a wry grin when Judy referred to her cane and injury. He'd been pleased, and impressed, to learn that they would be joining them to celebrate despite what had happened. At the next question, he nodded. "Yep, she'll be Brooke Ellis.

SilverTail was still looking around in fascination, his ears swiveling to catch every sound, nose twitching slightly as he caught the scent of food, different alien species, animals, the ocean - it was almost overwhelming. I am very happy to be here, the Sivaoan replied. This is a lovely place, and I am most interested in this 'marriage' concept. My people don't have these types of ceremonies. Despite his grumpy-looking face, the Sivaoan's voice was friendly, even excited as he spoke. The wind caught the edge of SilverTail's wrap and he caught it in one paw and pressed it back down, holding the trailing edge in place. I must say, clothing is rather inconvenient in this breeze. His tone turned rueful as he momentarily battled the fabric.

Perhaps the young man was not exactly at ease in this particular setting, but he certainly did remember his courtesies. [ Chief Ozu Saya, Domen Kyo and SilverTail to-Ennien - Kerelia - LZ 2] Saya and Kyo offered their own greetings to the group, and Kyo added a, Congratulations! to the groom. It's a lovely day for the ceremony, Saya said. Excellent location for it as well. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Seating Area, LZ-2, Kerelia]Judy and Max both nodded. They understood the personal nature of the last name discussion, and their own dilemma, 20 years prior, hadn't been entirely dissimilar. It not being their day, neither one decided to pick at that topic at this juncture. To SilverTail, Judy did have a reply. Well, she had a long spiel about marriage that she held back, but she did also have a shorter, amusing thing to say. "Yes, it's quite a bother," she said, absentmindedly letting go of her cane and then tugging at the hem of her dress. "The water looks so nice to swim in, too. Should've had a Betazoid wedding."She was joking, especially in light of her ankle. Max caught the cane before it fell, and guided Judy's hand back to it. "Let's have a seat," he suggested to the group, with a particular eye on his wife. 20 years of domesticity, and 64 years of that trademark Jewish hypochondria, didn't stop her cavalier attitude towards her injuries. "Fine," she agreed, rolling her eyes at him in an impression of their teenage daughter as she pulled up a chair.

[...] That made her glow, just with that simple use of words as she looked over at him. [Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - LZ-2, Kerelia] "Well, consider me the luckiest man here," Isaiah stated. He figured a good argument could likely be made for the groom, but he'd disagree until the end. He went on to listen as Thea explained how she knew the couple. It seemed that she was acquainted a bit more with the bride rather than the groom. Isaiah went on to recount exactly how everyone else was connected. "And, the groom is actually Captain Ellis' brother, right?"He took a sip from his glass. His mind couldn't help but ponder over a discussion he'd had a few weeks ago with an unexpected lunch date. It had simply been a meal to play catch up with his former commander. She had seemed rather interested in how he saw his current CO. Isaiah thought rather highly of Captain Ellis. In his opinion, she had proven herself to be more than capable. "So, just out of curiosity, any idea what will happen after their honeymoon?" Isaiah asked. He took another sip of his champagne. "Isn't Commander Ellis assigned to the Leeds? I assume your friend isn't just going to leave her cafe." It was curiosity, but there was another practical explanation. Isaiah just couldn't imagine being apart from his bride. Although, it was easier to work around with her being a civilian. If she was in Starfleet as well, it could possibly be even more complicated.
