[Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - LZ-2, Kerelia] "Well, consider me the luckiest man here," Isaiah stated. He figured a good argument could likely be made for the groom, but he'd disagree until the end. He went on to listen as Thea explained how she knew the couple. It seemed that she was acquainted a bit more with the bride rather than the groom. Isaiah went on to recount exactly how everyone else was connected. "And, the groom is actually Captain Ellis' brother, right?"He took a sip from his glass. His mind couldn't help but ponder over a discussion he'd had a few weeks ago with an unexpected lunch date. It had simply been a meal to play catch up with his former commander. She had seemed rather interested in how he saw his current CO. Isaiah thought rather highly of Captain Ellis. In his opinion, she had proven herself to be more than capable. "So, just out of curiosity, any idea what will happen after their honeymoon?" Isaiah asked. He took another sip of his champagne. "Isn't Commander Ellis assigned to the Leeds? I assume your friend isn't just going to leave her cafe." It was curiosity, but there was another practical explanation. Isaiah just couldn't imagine being apart from his bride. Although, it was easier to work around with her being a civilian. If she was in Starfleet as well, it could possibly be even more complicated.
Tag: Thea Baker [Beach - LZ2, Kerelia] There was only one response she could give to a statement like that, knowing how incredibly lucky she was to have found someone like Isaiah and to be able to share moments like this with him. " And I'm equally as lucky to have you in my life". It was true and she wasn't ashamed to admit it, before their conversation about the bride and groom continued and Isaiah sought confirmation regarding the Groom's relationship to the Captain. " Yep you're right he is her Brother".Thea knew what it was like to have a sibling also in the fleet and seeing the obvious close relationship between the Ellis's reminded her of her own relationship with her older sister Elizabeth. Beth as she preferred to be called was currently assigned as the XO of the Montague and whilst they talked as often as it was physically possible, Thea didn't get to see her as much as she would of liked. Perhaps that could be rectified some day but for now her focus shifted back to Isaiah and the champagne as the handsome scientist became curious about what would happen to the soon to be wed couple after their honeymoon. She understood why he had asked that what with Greg being Starfleet but at least she could share with him, what Brooke had told her on her last visit to the Bakery when Thea had pre ordered her birthday cake for the upcoming big birthday, where she would turn 30. " She won't need to as Greg has been reassigned to Front Ear" she said leaning in closely in order to share that news with him quietly. Pulling back slightly, Thea grinned as she took a sip of her champagne, wondering what it would be liked to be apart from someone you loved but just like the happy couple, she had been fortunate to be in the same place as Isaiah, even with the risks that came with it, whenever they went out on missions.

[NPC - Sundancer to-Srallansre - Sidelines, LZ-2, Kerelia]Sundancer noted the human (probably) approaching him, and tried to appear approachable. Having tried to affect a human smile (and found it physically impossible), he settled on a relaxed posture. "Hello," he greeted. "I'm fine. I'm just observing. These events are very unusual to my people."However talkative Sundancer was, and for all the questions he had, he also had manners. "I am Sundancer to-Srallansre; you may call me Sundancer. What's your name?" [Bestperson Kate Morelli - Gift Table, LZ-2 Beach]"They're unusual to some of my people, too," Morelli responded with a grin. Marriage was never something she personally understood or would be interested in, but she mused that it was probably less of a foreign concept to a human than to this Sundancer. "I am Kate Morelli. In this event I stand by the groom and support him. My job is basically to make sure he gets to the ceremony on time, doesn't forget his lines, or pass out. Be that from nerves or excessive alcohol consumption." She probably wasn't doing a great job at selling the practice, but it was probably the most honest description of a best person's duties anyone was likely to hear that day. "It's nice to meet you, Sundancer." Movement in the corner of her eye pulled her attention, and she nodded at a lone figure who was approaching the arch. "Ah, my duties call. Feel free to take a seat, Sundancer, wherever you'd like. The ceremony will be starting soon."With a small wave to excuse herself, Kate Morelli moved off toward Greg's small group and tapped the groom's elbow. "It's time, Commander."[ Chief Ozu Saya, Domen Kyo and SilverTail to-Ennien - Kerelia - LZ 2] Saya and Kyo offered their own greetings to the group, and Kyo added a, Congratulations! to the groom. It's a lovely day for the ceremony, Saya said. Excellent location for it as well. SilverTail was still looking around in fascination, his ears swiveling to catch every sound, nose twitching slightly as he caught the scent of food, different alien species, animals, the ocean - it was almost overwhelming. I am very happy to be here, the Sivaoan replied. This is a lovely place, and I am most interested in this 'marriage' concept. My people don't have these types of ceremonies. Despite his grumpy-looking face, the Sivaoan's voice was friendly, even excited as he spoke. The wind caught the edge of SilverTail's wrap and he caught it in one paw and pressed it back down, holding the trailing edge in place. I must say, clothing is rather inconvenient in this breeze. His tone turned rueful as he momentarily battled the fabric. [Gregory Ellis - Seating Area, LZ-2 Beach]"This is a little slice of paradise, isn't it?" Greg asked the group after they'd mentioned the weather and the location. He was aware of their difficulties upon first landing, but this area by the coast was definitely the perfect place for their party. At the mention of clothing, Greg grinned but remained silent. Both he and Brooke were happy to have clothes on for their ceremony and reception, though the honeymoon that followed likely would be a different story, and that suited them both just fine. At Morelli's touch, he stiffened at first, but forced himself to relax his shoulders, inch by inch. "Time to get married, I guess!" He smiled happily at the others, though the nerves would be evident in the slight tightness to his jaw. "I'll see you all afterwards."He stepped away and followed his best person to the arch, so he could stand by and wait for his future wife.

[ Brooke & Leanna - Bride's Tent, LZ2] Now that it was time to get ready and finally reveal her dress to those in the tent, Brooke could feel her heart beat loudly and the nerves, being replaced by sheer excitement with a mix of adrenaline for good measure. Even the atmosphere seemed to change as Lea and Flick followed her over to the staging area, knowing what this meant and how it wouldn't be long before she got to see Greg. There was an appreciative smile given towards her soon to be Sister in Law, as Flick prepared the playlist, before the trio were joined by Evi, who had graciously accepted to be their photographer for the day. Once Flick had greeted her, Lea then Brooke did the same, as Evi then told them that she would like to get some candid shots, grinning as she teased Brooke, before mentioning what they would be of. As much as Greg would appreciate some more intimate shots, the Bride was of the same opinion as Flick with how lovely an idea it was. " I'd love that, thanks Evi" Brooke said softly, as Flick then offered Evi a cocktail and mentioned what they were about to do. " They've been especially created for today and so far Kerelian Sunrise, seems the perfect name for them" Lea added, ready to mix one should Evi want to try them out. Trying not to be overcome with emotion, Brooke simply beamed happily at them all, taking one last step towards the dress, carefully removing it from the confines of it's protective holder and moved back, so everyone could see it. [NPC - Evi Hugo - Bride's Tent] Evi hesitated for a minute. She didn't drink much but figured she could sip slowly on a cocktail so it wouldn't go to her head. Sure, I'll try one, she finally said. Ohh, she murmured in awe as the beautiful dress was revealed. It was such a lovely color and design. Evi quickly snapped some photos of it on the stand, then stepped back to get a few of the attendants in the frame. You go ahead and don't mind me, she told Brooke. I may ask you to pause for a moment here or there, but I won't take up much of your time. And let me know if there are any specific posed shots you'd like. She would remain as unobtrusive as possible while the bride was prepared for her wedding. [Felicity Ellis - Bride's Tent, LZ-2]"Oh, it's perfect," Felicity breathed, thoroughly unable to say anything else about it. It was just perfect. It would be beautiful on Brooke, the colour was unexpected, original, but still classic, and she wouldn't die from the heat inside it. Felicity knew it would take everyone's breaths away. She reached out a hand to Leanna, and pulled her into a one-armed hug. She gave her friend a squeeze as they both took in the dress; wanting to remind her that she was there, that she would be a shoulder for her if she required it. Then they hustled to ready the bride. They would smooth and primp, position and fix every element of her dress and the woman herself as they prepared for perfection. Before putting on her own dress, Felicity sneaked another look outside. Her brother was in position, ready. Morelli stood close by, her hands clasped behind her back like she was guarding a prisoner. The idea made Felicity snort with amusement, which she quickly covered with a hand. Then she ducked back into the tent and got dressed herself.

[ Brooke & Leanna - Bride's Tent, LZ2] Leanna smiled as Evi accepted their offer of a cocktail, leaving the bridal party for a moment, in order to pour her a glass from the pitcher that she had made, perfect for extra glasses and top ups if and when required. " There we go Evi, its ready for when you want it" Lea said happily as the photographer reacted to the beautiful dress that Brooke had chosen to be married in and seeing it, left the Betazoid with a happiness tinged with sadness. Although didn't let that show as Evi then spoke to Brooke about the shots that she would take and to let her know if she had some that she specifically wanted to do. " That sounds good to me and I think it would be of me and my girls" Brooke replied, feeling a little overwhelmed but excited as she looked towards Lea & Flick. Smiling as Flick and Lea also reacted to the unveiling of the dress and couldn't argue with the comments made as she knew it was the one, after putting her trust in the dressmaker. Taking a moment to look at it again as Leanna felt Flick's hand reach out to her and pulled her into a one armed hug. That simple gesture gave Lea the strength she needed, without having to say anything to her best friend, appreciating her support and love, before they got down to the important part of getting Brooke into her dress. Once she was in the dress and pampered by her two closest friends to obtain perfection, Brooke couldn't help but beam with contentment. When Flick sneaked a look outside, Lea was finishing adjusting the flower in Brooke's hair, before she too got into her own dress. ************* [ Lucas Reynolds - Outside Bride's Tent, LZ2] Brooke's Father had taken himself off for a walk around the venue in order to give the girls some privacy and time together as they prepared for the ceremony. Which wasn't necessary a bad thing for Lucas as it had allowed him to see everything that had been so carefully planned and staged ready for the wedding of his little girl to Greg. He adored his soon to be son in law and knew that Brooke would want for nothing, something he had also tried to do for her, when she was growing up on the Valkyrie and smiled at how much she had accomplished since he had formally adopted her. He would always have that fatherly responsibility but the future looked brighter than it ever did, especially on a planet called Kerelia. When he saw the guests arrive and Greg move to the altar arch with his best person Kate, Lucas began to make his way back towards the tent, so he could be there to escort Brooke when it was time.

As their conversation continued, she went on to tell him what she'd learned about Commander Ellis. While what he ultimately learned was quite romantic, it was a little unsettling. He didn't want to jump to conclusions though. After all, as a scientist, he thrived on facts not opinions. Although, for the time being the evidence seemed pretty damning. Had she been right? "That's rather fortunate indeed," Isaiah replied to her announcement. Thea had been quite discrete in sharing that news. It made sense that she should be aware of it though. Perhaps it was because of her duties as second officer, or perhaps it was her friendship with Brooke. Taking a deep breath, he took another sip from his glass. "Well, that's quite a coincidence. Good for them." Isaiah glanced around at the other guests, as he took another sip.

Even after she had discreetly told him about Brooke and Greg, she couldn't agree more with his response of how fortunate it was and how good it was for the couple to be able to see one another and not have to be apart any longer. Perhaps the most important thing was being able to remain close to the people you cared about. He took his cue from Thea as she gestured towards the sight of the groom and his bestperson, Kate moving towards the altar. "I guess we'd better find our seats."He placed his glass on a passing server's tray, and proceeded to follow Thea towards their seats. Tag: Thea Baker [Beach - LZ2, Kerelia] Sitting down, gave Thea another perspective of what was about to happen and realised that she hadn't attended that many weddings before. Reminiscing for a moment of when she last went to one but despite enjoying that time found that this particular wedding seemed to outshine that one and knew it was down to having Isaiah by her side. Moving her gaze away from the altar as Isaiah sat down next to her and smiled as he commented how people had some interesting views on weddings and how some see it as an ending whilst others saw it as the beginning of something. Thea hadn't really thought about that until now and after looking out towards Greg, Kate and their surroundings, found that she was with those who saw it as a new beginning. " I can understand why they see it that way and until now I never really thought about it, but if it were me, then I would definitely see it as a new beginning".Of course she had often thought what it would be like if she ever got the chance to get married, but at the same time saw no rush as she firmly believed that it would happen when it was supposed too and she had accepted that.

[ Ens Joshua Niles - LZ2, Kerelia ]
With the greetings taken care of, Joshua mostly chose to remain quiet, and listen. His social circle in the area of operations was strictly limited, and he had not made any particular efforts to socialize. The three months of transit time and employment on the Fawkes had gone a long way, but he was still working on his officer of the watch qualification and that had been his primary off-duty focus since he had arrived.
As such, he did not really know many others, and those few he'd caught were either deep in conversation that seemed of a rather personal nature, like Doctor Baker and Lieutenant Quinn, or he simply barely knew at all.
So, he simply stood there, trying to soak in the social interactions and better get to know the people he would serve and live with for the foreseeable future.
However, when a striking blonde came to Commander Ellis' elbow to get his attention, the young Ensign's eyes darted directly towards her. The woman was beautiful! And, apparently, she was the groom's best man, too!
And, it was not until folk started to wander towards chairs that the situation fully registered for the young man. Yes, the wedding proper was about to start, though he did have a hard time taking his eyes off of the 'best man' though he did tear his attention from her long enough to go and find a seat of his own.

This was a most fascinating procedure. The male who appeared to be the one getting married smelled nervous, if he was interpreting the scent correctly. He supposed that tying your life to another being forever could cause anxiety. He walked with the others over to the rows of chairs, but paused when he saw one young man standing alone. He'd been with the group that had contained Judy and Saya, but seemed at a loss now. Excuse me, he said politely, approaching Joshua. Would you like some company? It seems that most of the other guests have others to sit with.

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Seating Area, LZ-2, Kerelia]As the conversation cluster was broken up, what with the groom being called away, Judy and Max had the convenience of already being seated on their side. They gave Greg a wave, motioned Saya and Kyo over, and then settled in, side-by-side. "I should probably take these off," Judy mused quietly, lifting up her sunglasses. "Would be a little disrespectful not to.""That's true," Max agreed, taking off his sunglasses as well to clip them to his shirt pocket. "You know what's funny?" Judy then asked rhetorically, turning towards Kyo and Saya. "Even after all these years, I still remember the day Max and I were in Greg and Brooke's shoes. Gosh, it was stressful. Incredible, but stressful."With a ceremony as big as the one they had, and with their decision to flout a handful of societal and/or familiar norms (the veil, marrying within the faith, etc.), the Eastman-Williams couple had been under considerable stress at the time, although all went well in the end.

[Beach - LZ2, Kerelia] Sitting down, gave Thea another perspective of what was about to happen and realised that she hadn't attended that many weddings before. [Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - LZ-2, Kerelia] Isaiah's eyes were attentive to the scene. He could see the groom and the bestperson, settled in their positions. All the guests seemed to be moving to take their seats quietly talking among themselves. He took a deep breath, making note that he hadn't attended many weddings before, especially those on a beach. Personally, he wasn't sure how anyone would even conceive of getting married here on this planet. Granted, his opinion on the mattered was likely biased, but it could have just as easily been done on the holodeck as well. Perhaps it was love that drove you to make such illogical decisions. His eyes shifted in Thea's direction, and he got a faint feeling that he could actually understand the madness. As she mentioned that she would see such a union as a beginning, he slowly nodded with a slight smile. "I agree," he replied simply. As he sat there, perusing the crowd, something caught his interest. A slight smile curled his lips. He leaned over and spoke softly to Thea. "You may have to do without that dance with Kate for a while after all," Quinn said softly. "I think someone's looking to move in to flank her attention when they get the chance." He made a subtle gesture to point out Josh to Thea, as well as where his attention was presently directed.

However she could look past the memory of what had happened the last time she set foot on Kerelia, especially now that it had resulted in her becoming close and intimate with Isaiah. Never would she of thought that her saving his life that day would lead to this and as usual let her imagination run a little after sharing with him, how she would see a wedding as a new beginning much like it had felt from the moment they had realised how they had felt about each other. So when Isaiah agreed, she also smiled, thinking that was good to know and nothing else needed to be said, as the guests who hadn't sat down yet began to do so. Although when Isaiah then leaned over and spoke softly, Thea listened intrigued by what he was saying and just as subtlety looked over to what had grabbed his attention. " Ah yes I think you're right and that's okay, it just means I get to spend more time with you".

He smiled at her own point hinting that it meant they'd have more time with one another. Isaiah nodded approvingly. "Sounds like a win-win situation," he stated. Normally, the circumstances would make it sound like an ideal situation. Emotions would be high right on the tail of a wedding. Dinner and dancing right here on a beach. Though, the only problem was that it was this beach. It hadn't been that long ago that Isaiah had been on this planet fighting for his life, courtesy of those tritters. Of course the location seemed devoid of the creatures and precautions had been taken to preserve the sanctity of this day. He did his best to push the those lingering thoughts down as he like many of the other guests waited for the arrival of the bride. "Any idea who was responsible for all of this? I mean, I've no idea what all is involved in planning a wedding. Nevertheless, it's rather impressive to put something like this together without a single detail getting out."

Tag: Thea Baker [Beach - LZ2, Kerelia] " It does indeed, not that I need an excuse to spend time with my Boyfriend" Thea teased as Isaiah responded to what she had said. She knew it had taken a lot for him to be back here, so soon after his experience but that just showed how strong they had become as a couple. There was one last look towards Ensign Niles and if he was successful with Kate, then good on him as love was definitely in the air and the proof of that was sitting beside her. Thea reached across and rested her hand over Isaiah's, a simple but effective gesture without drawing too much attention to themselves as he asked more about the wedding. Thea enjoyed listening at how interested and curious Isaiah was and besides he was right, everything that they had seen so far was very impressive. Still leaning close to him, Thea then shared what she knew. " I have some idea as I've been a bridesmaid before, but as far as I know, this is all down to the Bride and Groom, with help from their wedding party and people they know, so I'm very impressed too".As she finished talking, the CMO noticed the Blue Beta house band getting ready to welcome the bridal party, squeezing Isaiah's hand gently in the process.
