[Leanna's Quarters - Civilian Decks]
With Riyo having to leave quickly to deal with the medical emergency that had been called. Lea had certainly appreciated his farewell kiss that little bit more and knew that whoever had been hurt was in very good hands. The bar owner had great respect for her Imzadi and his career and besides it was always worth it when she got to see him after each shift.
Which reminded her that she also needed to get to work but before she could do so, she had two children to attend to as Jeffy had already taken the puppy. Lea pulled on a purple one shouldered top, applied a hint of make up and perfume, then got the kids ready to leave.
Exiting her quarters a few minutes later, Lea then pushed the stroller towards the turbo lift.

|Deck 31, Gymnasium ||lt. cmdr Sven Aune | Spotter |Medical had arrived, and the small crowd of people parted to make way for the doctor. He addressed the man spotting for Sven. "He was benching some weight here, when gravity sorta went wonky. It caused him to loose control, and I lost my footing and this happened."Sven groaned in pain, and sucked in some air. Then once again the gravity plating in the gym borked. For a moment it decreased to 0.8 g followed by correcting itself. Tag [Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Main Gym]Riyo listened to the description of events while he ran the scans. Surgery was definitely necessary, but thankfully the broken bones had not punctured any organs. Even so, moving him was not an option. "Notify Engineering of the malfunctions - " His sentence cut off as everything shifted, and he immediately understood how the accident had happened. "I strongly suggest everyone stay away from the weights until the problem gets fixed!" He spoke loud enough for the gathered crowd to hear. Trusting the spotter to do as he was told, he focused on getting his patient to safety. "Computer - Emergency transport, two to Sickbay!" Putting his hand lightly on Sven's stomach, he waited for the familiar blue lights that dissolved the room around them, and rematerialized them... In a corridor. Swearing loudly, he looked around, grateful to see that Sickbay was just a few meters down. Glancing down at the injured mountain, he decided not to risk the transporter again. Thankfully they were a lot closer now. Tapping his com badge, he knew this would be something he'd need to explain to the medical staff - after the patient had been treated. =A="Dr. Paawin to Sickbay. I need a team and a gourney - Deck 10 corridor."=A= Whatever was going on with the station's systems, he hoped they got it fixed soon. The team arrived in a matter of moments, and Riyo instructed them on transferring Sven to the gourney without aggravating his injuries more. Finally they had him safely on a biobed, and he gave the man a hefty dose of pain relievers. "Alright Commander, you need surgery to repair the damage to your shoulders. The good news is, your muscle mass prevented the bones in your chest from puncturing your heart or lungs, so I expect you'll make a full recovery."
Tag Sven Aune |Sick bay || lt. cmdr. Sven Aune |Sven gave a bit of a moan. His shoulders felt like they were on fire. Having dislocated each, and tearing the tendons. His breathing was labored. Each intake of breath was riddled with searing pain as the broken ribs would separate more. He felt the hypo hit is neck and some relief came to him. But narcs had a strange side effect on the man. He giggled a pain filled giggle. "Heh, heheheh, oh.... You ever think of the allegory of the cave? I mean, what if we don't really precive the world around us and we're just heads in jars being fed electrical inputs to simulate experiences?"

{Quoted Posts} [ MCPO Ozu Saya - Chief Engineer's Office] Saya jerked back, bringing her PADD with her, as what appeared to be the head from a sonic shower slammed down on her desk. Her gaze lifted to meet that of the infuriated Andorian leaning on the desk. She blinked a couple of times, processing what Kova was suggesting, then lifted one eyebrow sardonically. I imagine that was quite uncomfortable, she replied mildly. I wouldn't care for it myself.
I apologize for the inconvenience; however I am not causing these malfunctions myself and they certainly are not targeting you. There has been an upsurge in malfunctions all over the station. Her tone was calm and perhaps a bit stiff. Saya knew that it wouldn't help her case much with the Andorian's prejudice against Vulcans, but it was her default in confrontation and too ingrained to overcome under pressure. |Engineer's office || Sorren Mar'kiv |The swawthy Vulcan security officer walked into the office. He strode right up next to the irate Andorian, but ignored her for the time being. "Chief," he started with, "I want to thank you for expediting the repairs I needed done. It is good to know that staff here knows how to prioritize work orders."
he looked over at Kova, then the broken shower head then back to Kova. His face changed into the typical Vulcan face of condensention seasoned heavily with Sorren's own patented blend of sneer. "Awe, That, is a sonic shower head. Not a punching bag, Kova. But I wouldn't expect an Andorian to know that. I hear that your species still clean themselves via licking themselves. Like the common house cat. Filthy." [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Chief Engineer's Office, Front Ear Station ] It was quite possible that any response that left Saya's lips would be an annoyance, but the raising of that damned raised Vulcan eyebrow was an insult to injury. It was the most sanctimonious gesture the entire race had. It was the grandest nonverbal insult. Humans tended to raise their middle finger to deliver such a message. Klingons laughed at you. Ferengi... existed hissed. But Vulcans... it was as if they decided to not make an effort at insulting you with that eyebrow. "Uncomfortable?!" Kova repeated. She was just about to explain in explicit detail just how uncomfortable it had been when a bonafide waste of green-blooded space made his presence known. Why he had decided to personally thank Ozu for preferential treatment in person was beyond her. Though, that wasn't enough. He went on to deal his usual juvenile insults, though not only at Kova, but at her entire race. Before Kova knew it, she had ceased a handful of his uniform, and taken a step to close the distance between herself and the Vulcan. This was likely what he wanted. Some sort of excuse to force her into a cell, or to have her lose her position in the Security office. To wipe that smug look from his face, it would have been well worth it. Though, instead of giving him any further ammunition, she simply glared into his eyes. "Don't test me, phuuzhca[fn]anal orifice[/fn]!" Kova continued to glare at him. "Just ask any Klingon what they think about today." It was the only warning he was going to get. She began to release her hold of his uniform, disgusted with even touching him at all.

[Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Park]Judy was moderately amused by the situation, but at the same time, she didn't like it one bit. This wasn't something she liked to see on her station. "Calling engineering was the right move. They should be sending a crew soon enough," she voiced her approval. However, there remained the matter of the young Vulcan herself, who was standing there sopping wet. "Now, there's a replicator by the turbolifts, so we can get you a towel, and there's a control panel we can use to switch the sprinkler off."Judy began to walk towards the lift, carefully avoiding the splash zone, motioning for Max and the Vulcan to follow her. The dogs came along dutifully, following their masters and the leashes. "What's your name, young lady?" Max asked, politely. He very much shared his wife's nurturing streak. [ T’Laara - Park] This would have been an opportune moment to vanish in a transporter beam. Unfortunately, the flooded park and concerned captain remained solidly in front of her. “Very well, I will do that. Thank you.” T’Laara was a bit at a loss on how to react to the captain’s almost motherly attitude. It was unexpected; surely she could deal with some water without an escort. However, she refrained from saying so, and simply answered “T’Laara” when the man who was presumably Captain Eastman’s partner asked her name. Then, with as much Vulcan dignity as she could muster given the situation, followed them as they circled around the edge of the broken sprinkler’s range and moved toward the exit. Judith Eastman

Some sort of excuse to force her into a cell, or to have her lose her position in the Security office. To wipe that smug look from his face, it would have been well worth it. Though, instead of giving him any further ammunition, she simply glared into his eyes. "Don't test me, phuuzhca!" Kova continued to glare at him. "Just ask any Klingon what they think about today." It was the only warning he was going to get. She began to release her hold of his uniform, disgusted with even touching him at all.

[Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Park -> Turbolift -> Commanding Officer's Quarters]"I'm Max, Command... sorry, Captain Eastman's husband," Max introduced himself, almost getting his wife's rank wrong (she had been "Commander Eastman" for over a decade[fn]LCDR 2369-2375; CMDR 2375-2380[/fn]) as they came through the exit, to the replicator. "One bath towel," he ordered the replicator. Judy, meanwhile, reached into her purse to retrieve a pair of reading glasses (the contact lenses she wore handled her distance vision, but she needed an extra correction for near-range vision), and accessed a wall panel. However, just as she switched off the sprinkler system, lo and behold, the replicator produced not a towel, but a bowl of tomato soup. "That's... not a towel," Judy stated the obvious. Saya signed off and tapped her badge again. =/\= Ozu to Eastman, I'm on my way to your location. "You're welcome to come along and freshen up, if you'd like," she offered T'Laara, knowing full well that the young woman might prefer to avoid that and lessen the indignity. Judy and Max headed to the turbolift[fn]Up to Shavan Th'zhaar if T'Laara is coming[/fn]. "Deck 3," he ordered it, and up it moved. Judy made the quick decision that the on-duty ranking officer should be involved in this as well. =A= "Eastman to Harmon, I'll need you to come up to my quarters for a meeting with myself and Chief Ozu," =A= she ordered the young man. The turbolift deposited them on deck 3, and they walked into the expansive but cozy CO's quarters, entering into the living room, with its two large sofas. Also in the same space was a wooden dining table with a copious number of chairs around it, as well as the heavily customized kitchen that produced so many of the treats shared with station crew. Immediately on entering, Judy and Max unleashed the dogs, took off their shoes, then headed to the kitchen to wash their hands and lay out some refreshments. Their movements were harmonious, with only a few words needed. "Cheeseboard?" she suggested, predictably. "I'll get crackers," he agreed, just as predictably.

[Matthew Harmon - Ops]A lot had been going on the past few weeks, Harmon had been quite busy. Between Perry's disappearance, the change in command, developments on Caldonia, and the issues with the Nyberrite's, Harmon had had very little time to himself. When he finally got a day off yesterday which he chose to spend alone in his quarters, passing the time with booze, video games, and bad holofilms, he was faced with the ongoing power issues which kept turning off his films and games. In light of that, he was less annoyed about having to be on duty today given he wasn't sure what he'd be doing otherwise. He was sitting at Ops, feet up on the desk gossiping with the junior officers. Telling them some stories while they shared the scuttlebutt that was making the rounds of the crew. Mundane things mostly like the new XO having moved in with Quinn. The young officers, mostly ensigns, were also keenly interested in Judy Eastman. Most of them probably hadn't interacted with her too much, so they were interested in what Harmon had to say. While he was notorious for not getting along with many people, when he was in the mood, he often didn't mind junior officers. Before they fell into the mannerisms and habits of the more mid level and senior ones that so frequently irritated Harmon. "Is it true she's had so many operations she's more machine than man inside?"
"That one you're going to have to ask her yourself, Mr. Khasanov." he quipped, which elicited some chuckles from a few of the Ops crew.
"I heard she never really fought in the war, she just worked at Utopia...what if we go to war with the Nybs?"
"She spent a long time at Utopia and working on engineering projects, but no, she was a First Officer during the war. Don't let her relaxed and grandmotherly demeanour fool you, she knows battle as well as I do...and I don't think we will be going to war with the Alliance. We may have skirmishes, but a full on war is unlikely."
He was then interrupted by the communication from the woman herself.
"Duty calls, Khasanov, you have Ops," he said as he stood up and headed for the exit. A few moments later he arrived outside the now Captain's quarters and pressed the bell.

[Turbolift - Unknown Location]
Getting into the turbolift had been easy enough, especially maneuvering the stroller into it without running over any toes. However as Lea called out her destination, there was a slight delay which she didn't think too much about, considering the age of the station and reassured Ari that it was just being slow as it finally began to move. Everything appeared to be normal as she talked with her daughter about daycare, the puppy and of course Riyo, until it just stopped.
Thinking that they had reached the Promenade, Lea moved forward expecting the doors to open, when they remained firmly shut. Memories of the last time she got stuck in a lift came back to haunt her as she tried once more but they refused to budge.
" Mama what's wrong?".
" Nothing Sweetheart, its just the lift being silly".
Ari seemed to accept this as Lea offered her the small PADD containing her favourite numbers game, whilst she searched for her comm device only to realise that she had left it at home. Trying not to curse loudly, Lea took a moment to refocus and would try the doors again shortly.

[Matthew Harmon - Ops]... A few moments later he arrived outside the now Captain's quarters and pressed the bell. [Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Commanding Officer's quarters]At the sound of the chime, both corgis darted towards the door, barking enthusiastically. There was someone there, maybe an intruder to bite, or a visitor with an interesting scent, and it was exciting. "Down! Down!" Judy yelled at both dogs, as Max walked from the fridge to the door. The dogs reluctantly complied, and didn't dart out as it opened. Instead, they cautiously sniffed at this new visitor. "Commander, these are our dogs, Bridge and Tunnel. They don't bite," Max introduced the dogs. "Welcome to our home," Judy added from the kitchen. "Chief Ozu asked for an urgent meeting, so I thought it made sense to loop you in."Of course, it wasn't too urgent for the elaborate display of cheese and crackers, which the Captain now carried to the coffee table.

[ T’Laara - Park -> Deck 15] T’Laara stared in dismay at the bowl of soup that materialized instead of a towel, the tips of her ears turning green as she continued to drip water on the floor in front of the captain. “Thank you, but it would be more logical for me to return to my own quarters to change.” It would only mean the difference of a few more minutes in the turbolift, which she followed the couple to, but then stood back and waited for one going in the right direction instead. And waited. And.. waited. Finally, the door swept open, and she stepped forward, only to gasp and jerk back as she almost fell through empty air. More cautiously, T’Laara held onto the side of the door frame and stared down the empty tunnel plummeting into darkness. Tilting her head up, she thought she could just make out the bottom of the lift stuck a few decks above. Fortunately, the same lift Judy and Max had taken came back again, and appeared to be functioning normally. “Deck 15,” she instructed, shivering a little. The cold only got worse as she stepped out into the corridor outside her quarters, which was absolutely freezing. What was going on today?

With that on her mind she made a move to get back to work. "You can stay here. For now. While I figure this out." This put a smile on Mott's face. It was good enough for now. It was then that there was a grinding clunk from overhead, the sound of the magnetic door locks coming ungracefully loose. A half second later, the heavy garage-style door at the front of the shop came crashing down. Mott covered his ears and ducked down. "Fredrik!" [fn]https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Bolian#Language[/fn] Avi had a similar response, uttering a creative string of foul oaths. She stalked over the door and pounded on the panel which had gone dark. Avi would have to use the manual jack. She retrieved a long steel bar, inserted it into the jack and began cranking it up high enough for her slip out. Before she did she pointed a long finger at the boy. "Stay. Put. Don't. Touch. Anything." Mott nodded slowly. [ Avi Moz | Avi's workshop → Engineering ]Avi Moz arrived at engineering fully ready to shout at some gold-shirt idiot. If it wasn't freedom fighters, ship-wide power outages, it was something else. But it seemed Avi wasn't the only one with a complaint. "Hey! Even Kova had to admit that this was serious, and far beyond Saya's ability to maintain maintenance of the station. As much as she was prepared to berate the woman, she wasn't completely inept. There was something seriously wrong going on. Naturally, Sorren was ready to point the finger at her. Her eyes rolled as he went on, even threatening to send her to Rura Penthe. "As long as you aren't there, it'll be a z'toking[fn]f-bomb (modified)[/fn] spa." He then made his declaration... practically swearing that he would prove that she was behind all of this. To that, the Andorian actually smiled. "I don't know what's funnier. That you think I'm behind this, or that you think you could ever catch me."The Vulcan seemed to have gotten his fill of insulting Kova for the moment and turned to take his leave. Kova's gaze shifted towards Saya once again. However, it was quickly snapped back to the corridor at the sound of an explosion. Kova quickly stepped back outside to see Sorren on the ground. The urgency in her steps subsided as she walked towards him, eying the scarred flesh upon his face. "Remind me of Starfleet protocols. Is this where I tap my commbadge and say, Medical Emergency?" It was one last dig at Sorren. She wasn't in a rush to see to his injuries, but likely because she was confident that Saya would be the responsible one.

He approached the door expecting them to open. He found out the hard way. Very hard, that they did not open. Another malfuction and his face smashed into the metal. Anger was right on the surface. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Sickbay]In the midst of preparing the anesthetic, Riyo paused when he heard a rather strange sound come out of the patient's mouth, followed by a bunch of words that made no sense in a sentence. Suddenly concerned about the potential for neural trauma, he grabbed his tricorder and turned to face the biobed. Immediately recognizing the dazed and amused expression on Sven's face, he relaxed with a soft chuckle. He was high as a satellite. While it wasn't a common reaction to the medication, it wasn't unheard of, and wasn't any cause for concern. Being high was better than being in agony. "That's a fascinating thought, Mr. Aune. Keep on it and let me know what you come up with." Finishing preparing the anesthetic, he injected it against the man's large neck, hoping it took affect as quickly as the last one did.
Tag Sven Aune |Sickbay || lt. cmdr. Sven Aune | lt. (jr. grd.) Sorren| Sven, meanwhile was flying as high as a kite. And this in turn reduced his inhibitions. He gazed up at the Riyo. He really was a cute. Sven licked his dry lips. His mouth was parched. "You know, doc. You really are handsome. Has anyone ever told you that. Because they should. I just did... Heh..."his brows furrowed. He hadn't had the best luck with relationships. Maybe this could be different. "Let's say you and I head over to the Blue Beta and get a drink. Lea's really nice. Maybe she'll open a space up for dancing. You like dancing? I like dancing. I think I'd like dancing with you..." he raised a hand to gently touch Riyo's face. Sorren, if he wasn't so busy pretending to be emotionally repressed would have had a look of horror on his face. But as it was, he kept it passive, except for that dammed eyebrow. The Vulcan spoke up. "I did not realize this was a place for. What is it you humans call it,? Oh yes hookups."Another strike against Bajorians. Tag Jovireh Velal [Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Sickbay]Riyo raised an amused eyebrow at the compliment. It had been awhile since a patient had flirted with him. It was always flattering, regardless of his lack of returned interest. It was even amusing that he used the exact compliment that his girlfriend used the most often. Speaking of... He couldn't help but chuckle when Sven mentioned Lea in his invitation to the Blue Beta. Oh wouldn't that be a shock for... Well... Everyone. Another patient had entered and stated their need for medical assistance. As Riyo was currently already tending to a patient - or at least trying to, if only that anesthesia would hurry up and kick in - one of the other medical personnel approached Sorren and requested he take a seat on the nearest available biobed. That brief distraction was all it took for Riyo to not notice Sven's hand lifting, until he felt a callused touch on his cheek. Startled, he instinctively grabbed the man's wrist, giving him a smile as he gently lowered his arm back to his side. "You really should refrain from moving until I get those shoulders fixed." Any time now, anesthesia. "Unfortunately, Mr. Aune, I have a strict policy against personal involvement with patients. If you had said something before getting grievously injured, things might be different." No, they definitely wouldn't be. But the man was so high on pain relievers he likely wouldn't even remember this conversation by the time he left Sickbay, so Riyo saw no reason he couldn't let him down gently. The new patient made a snide comment behind him, but he grit his teeth and ignored it. His attention turned to the monitor above the bio bed. Vitals were slowly dropping. Finally. Hopefully this awkward conversation would be over soon, he could complete the surgery, and move on with his day.

Sorren|The Vulcan sucked in air, working to repress the pain, and anger that he felt. Somehow she had done this. The Andorian was working hard to subvert Star Fleet and he had no idea why the irrational humans would allow an Andorian, and one that was a criminal to boot, to work in security. He picked himself up and brushed himself off. Shooting Kova a Vulcan look of contempt, he pushed past her. What was worse, the half Vulcan misfit seemed to be just as illogical as the Andorrian. That was to be expected. Bajorians were known to be on the low end of the IQ spectrum. [...] [ Avi Moz | Avi's workshop → Engineering ]Avi Moz arrived at engineering fully ready to shout at some gold-shirt idiot. If it wasn't freedom fighters, ship-wide power outages, it was something else. But it seemed Avi wasn't the only one with a complaint. "Hey! Someone initiate station self-destruct and forget to tell me or is this just what we do now? Randomly release mag-locks? Could've lost an arm and mine don't grow back." [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Chief Engineer's Office, Front Ear Station ] Kova simply stared down at the Vulcan security officer, his pain more than obvious. It didn't take long before Saya emerged to see what had happened. Kova almost expected to be blamed instantly, but the chief engineer simply replied to Sorren that he needed to get himself to Sickbay. The woman's words certainly surprised the Andorian, but she didn't let her face betray those thoughts. Saya, however, then turned her attention fully on Kova. Not to chastise or accuse the woman, but it sounded as if she had actually asked for her help. One could never be certain with the way Vulcans phrased things. Nevertheless, if this was a security issue then perhaps her expertise was warranted. "Fine," Kova conceded, nodding. Her eyes then turned to Sorren who wanted to make an even more dramatic exit by pushing past her. The Andorian stared after him, certain this was far from over. They were nearly on their way when another, nearly equally annoying obstacle presented itself: Avi Moz. The Bolian had disappeared from the station for months, being Harmon's troll the rumor was. Kova was honestly surprised she hadn't returned in shackles living it up in a holding cell. Yet, it seemed she had a grievance as well, though she didn't seem to be nearly as detailed with what had gone wrong. Kova merely crossed her arms in front of her chest as if waiting on the Bolian to finish. "Really? I'll make a note of that," the Andorian stated dryly. The Bolian really did like to be the center of attention.
