[ Avi Moz | Brig ]Avi opened one eye when Fatax cried out. It seemed he wasn't as informed as he made out to be - who could blame him though for as long as he'd been confined to this little room. "In bad with the station commander? How fun." For a moment, Avi thought better of blabbing her business. She'd had her fill of being anyone's source of information and had tried (half-heartedly) to mind her own business and stay out of Starfleet's way. But sometimes, she just couldn't help herself. "Jurgha and me go way back," Avi said closing her eyes again. "She owes me whatever the equivilant of two years in an Orion mining camp is." [fn]Avi served a two year sentence in an Orion mining camp following a smuggling conviction in 2373 when she was 24.[/fn] [NPC - Fatax - Brig]And just like that, Fatax got a bit of groove back. Avi's misery was something he could talk about more idly - gossip, even. He chose to be polite about it, but still, he didn't appear panicked anymore. "She let you take the fall? Or turned you in?" he asked. If this Jurgha was that sly, she had no business in their outfit. That kind of work was for Wetrogh and Fatax only.

[ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Storage Room, Blue Beta] Having narrowed down the window of time the procedure could have occurred, it was only a few more steps to track down the medical evidence. “I found what we are looking for. We shall have him caught soon enough.” While waiting for the requested files to transfer, Jurgha also turned back to watching the team. Bolt was currently saying little, which made their investigation into him worthwhile. Tusk, on the other hand, was on his way to incriminating himself. Maybe it was simply Klingon nature to want to show off. “Like Durwot said, Kurjarians are rare. Even if he doesn’t give up the supplier’s name, that gives us something else to look into.”After a moment, her PADD chimed. "I've got Bolt's medical records now.” She quickly shared the file with the others in the room. Judith Eastman

[Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta] Ah, now we were getting somewhere, Durwot thought as the topic shifted to the ‘Ferengi problem’. The fact that Tusk was bringing it up meant he’d gained some trust and most likely it would be easier to get him to say something incriminating. “Yes, I have heard of your difficulties with some of your associates,” he said as he took another drink. “What is it you require help with? I need to know what exactly you need if we are to be of service.” Tag: Judith Eastman

{Quoted Posts} [SCPO Melihn Ryah - Blue Beta] Ryah kept her eyes downcast as she and S'Riia served the bloodwine to the Klingons, not responding to Klopar's jab. She'd pushed the limits in the first few minutes with her quiet comments, but knew continuing in that vein might send the encounter down a path that would require more than just cutting words. She didn't want to get her or S'Riia smacked around unless absolutely necessary. After serving the wine, Ryah took a step back from the table, still well within earshot, and stood with her hands at her sides so she could quickly reach her weapon if needed. She was surprised when the one called Bolt addressed them and impressed with S'Riia's quick response. Rather than saying anything that might give them away, Ryah simply folded her arms and stared impassively at the Klingon. [Durwot, son of Sh'root - Blue Beta] Durwot had good hearing, and he noticed S'Riia talking to Bolt, though he couldn't quite tell what exactly was going on. Still, no point interrupting. It was easy to forget by S'Riia was on their side for this and perhaps she would be able to get some scraps of information from Bolt that he couldn't. Servants usually prefered to talk to servants. "We need strong, fit specimen's with plenty of stamina," he explained, "At Sh'root Farms we perform most functions manually still, it makes the product taste far better than heavily automated farms." He took another mouthful of the bloodwine as he awaited a response. [NPCs - Capt. Klopar, daughter of Krak, Wetrogh "The Tusk", son of Grerohk, & Dril "Bolt", son of Gak - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]"The Tusk" helped himself to a fistful of gagh, stuffing it into his gaping mouth as the son of Sh'root spoke. "Sounds like Klingons, but alas, our people are too contrarian for such labor," he pondered, some individual worms falling out of his mouth. "The Caitian people might fit the bill. Kurjarians too, but they're very hard to come by. You really have to know where to look."Now there was a rare commodity, not for everyone, but maybe for Durwot. Klopar found the sly aggression bubbling right under "The Tusk's" surface irresistible. She had half a mind to take a bite of him, though she resisted for now, not wanting to set back the operation. "Bolt", meanwhile, had to be a bit more circumspect. Or, as best as he could be. "Hardly speaking ill. Your masters are intense, and so's mine," he whispered, backpedaling just a tiny bit. [SCPO Melihn Ryah - Blue Beta] Ryah was trying to listen to what Klopar, Durwot and 'The Tusk' were saying and wondered if Bolt had been told to distract her and S'Riia intentionally. Caitians, Kurjarians, but not enough to make any sort of move against the Klingons. With a sigh, she dropped her arms again and responded, ' I rather thought intensity was a general trait of Klingons. Ryah only spared the fellow 'servant' a brief glance, trying to keep her attention on the table. [NPC - PO1 S'Riia - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station ] The mention of Caitians hadn't gone unnoticed, and neither had the mention of Kurjarians. Still, the thought of some of her people being used in such a fashion didn't sit well with S'Riia. Still, for the sake of the mission, she held her emotions in check. Luckily, Bolt seemed to be serving as a bit of a distraction himself. Ryah had responded to his counter by pointing out that intensity tended to be a general Klingon trait. "You say you don't speak ill, but your words sound... hollow," S'Riia uttered, as if she were losing interest in this particular conversation, curios if Bolt would persist.
Tag: Judith Eastman (Klopar, Tusk, Bolt), Ozu Saya (Ryah), Matthew Harmon (Durwot) [Durwot, son of Sh'root - Blue Beta] Durwot let out a hearty laugh as The Tusk mentioned Klingons. "Klingong's would be perfect if they weren't so stubborn and headstrong. You can't subjugate a warrior race like us!" When Caitians and Kurjarians were mentioned Durwot knew he was starting to gain the trust, or at least convince The Tusk he was genuine. They were close to saying something incriminating. "I could do with an upgrade for my Caitian," he said glaring at S'Riia who was still seeming to conspire with Bolt. "And I have heard good things about Kurjarians. Very rare though," he glanced around to make sure no one else in the bar was listening or watching. "Do you have a supplier?"

Durwot had set the bait. "The Tusk" had taken it. Ryah and S'Riia had done likewise for "Bolt", and he had incriminated himself too. "That's game over for them. She bit off the end (and swallowed) then leaned forward to light it against the hot edge of the force field. She winked at Fatax before settling back against the wall for a smoke. "Always be prepared," she said sagely. Of course, what Avi was failing to mention re: Jurgha were Avi's own less-than-admirable actions in that whole messy saga. It was probably better that not everything had come out in the courts. Judith Eastman Jovireh Velal

[ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Storage Room, Blue Beta] Jurgha thumped a fist on a box, causing the screens to shake. “Ha! Caught in a trap!” Victory was theirs at last. She quickly finished up the line of investigation she had been working on. Then, tossing the PADD aside, she got to her feet. “Enough of this hiding! I will watch their defeat in person.” Without waiting for Eastman’s approval, she slammed open the door to the storage room. She was just in time to hear the security officer announce that the pair of smugglers were under arrest, and stood back, ready to stop them if they tried anything. More importantly, Tusk and Bolt wouldn’t be needing their bloodwine anymore, and someone had to make sure it would not go to waste. tag Judith Eastman , others in area

Victory, Durwot thought to himself as he got The Tusk to say those incriminating words. Unfortunately, Starfleet decided to cut his fun short. “I wanted to play with him more!” He growled at Ryah. Jurgha then sprung out of wherever she was hiding and went right to the bloodwine. Typical. “You’re such an idiot and a loser!” He teased The Tusk, getting right into his face.

Matthew Harmon [ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Storage Room, Blue Beta] Jurgha thumped a fist on a box, causing the screens to shake. [Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta] Victory, Durwot thought to himself as he got The Tusk to say those incriminating words. [NPCs - Capt. Klopar, daughter of Krak, Wetrogh "The Tusk", son of Grerohk, & Dril "Bolt", son of Gak - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]Well, shit. It was rare for Wetrogh to be blindsided like this. "We'll fight this," he pledged, until he heard Durwot's taunting. "You are a liar, son of Sh'root!" he thundered, as he lunged for the man's throat. He might get stunned, but at least he would go down as a warrior. As for Dril, he panicked. "I'd like to cooperate. I want a plea bargain. I am Dril, son of Gak, and he is Wetrogh, son of Grerohk. I can give you a lot of details if you give me a plea bargain," he sputtered at high speed. Klopar clapped Dril on the shoulder, a little bit of maternal instinct emerging within her. "We'll take that under advisement." [Capt. Judith Eastman-(Williams) - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]Judy followed Jurgha out into the bar, and then just stood back, smiling to her people with approval of a job well done. It felt good to have a win.

[Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta] As The Tusk lunged to attack, Durwot sidestepped and palm striked into his jaw. “And you are a dishonourable petaQ,” he proclaimed proudly. “A stain on your house!” Tag: Judith Eastman

{Quoted Posts} [SCPO Melihn Ryah - Blue Beta] Ryah smirked slightly at S'Riia's comments about Ferengi, breaking her serious mask for a moment. Then, then, Tusk said those wonderful, incriminating words. Ryah's smirk turned into a wide, quite inappropriate grin for the circumstances. Her hand dropped to the concealed weapon in her cargo pocket. Stepping forward and to the side so she could keep both in her sights, Ryah announced, ' Tusk, Bolt, I'm Senior Chief Melihn Ryah of station security, and you're both under arrest for conspiracy. Come with me quietly to the brig or you'll be stunned and hauled in by force.' Ryah was used to being underestimated because of her size, so she made sure to make serious eye contact with both Klingons. The half-Caitian was pleased to see this come to an end, and the likes of this sort to be escorted to a cell. It seemed they'd be acquainted with their Ferengi friend after all. She didn't add any additional commentary. There was no need. The Klingons knew their fate, and that was accetned by Bolt's rather quick declaration to testify against his colleague. A slight smirk spread across S'Riia's lips. She was sure the local JAG officer would have a field day with this one.
