[Lieutenant Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill] Finally, Durwot had been granted the honour of an assignment that took him beyond the usual confines of a custom officer. Perhaps out here on the frontier he could win the glory he knew he deserved. As the party took approached the bar and Captain Klopar ordered drinks, Durwot eagerly and aggressively pounded his fist on the bar in excitement. In the Sh’root family it was viewed as bad luck to go into a meeting fully sober. Although his other companion, Jurgha seemed eager for the gagh, Durwot was skeptical. Fresh gagh on a Federation Station? That was most unusual. As the waiter served the bloodwine, Durwot confronted him. “Are you trying to trick us, human? Where do you get fresh gagh? How do we know it isn’t replicated trash?” He asked aggressively, some spit flying from his mouth as he spoke. Tag: Shavan Th'zhaar, Judith Eastman, Leanna Mazal

[ Seamus - Blue Beta] From the reactions he had gotten at the mention of fresh gagh, Seamus knew it was one way to hopefully keep them from getting too rowdy. Then again this wasn't his first time dealing with Klingons and experience had taught him to keep them happy with copious amounts of blood wine and home cuisine. It was also a good thing that they kept a supply of gagh courtesy of Take Me Gagh. " Oh I can assure it's fresh, in fact the delivery came in this morning and we like to take care of our customers" He replied cheerfully as he handed over the blood wine, before sending the order through to the kitchen. " We'll have it brought over to you, if you'd like to go to one of the tables or booths".[ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Blue Beta] “Excellent!” Like Klopar, Jurgha was cheered to see that proper food and hospitality could be found on this station. When the waiter returned with the cask of bloodwine, she wasted no time in pouring herself a hearty amount. Looking towards Klopar and the rest of their companions, she raised her cup in a gesture of celebration. Jurgha then sat at the nearest table as invited, immediately putting her feet up on it and crossing her legs. She took a gulp of bloodwine, and was not disappointed. “A warrior’s meal indeed!” she shouted approvingly. [Lieutenant Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill] Finally, Durwot had been granted the honour of an assignment that took him beyond the usual confines of a custom officer. How do we know it isn’t replicated trash?” He asked aggressively, some spit flying from his mouth as he spoke. [NPC - Captain Klopar, daughter of Krak - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]Klopar took her seat at the table, though she kept her feet on the ground. You always had to be ready for a good fight, or a good-looking man to come along for you to claim ownership over. As she downed her bloodwine, she took in Durwot's suspiciousness; he was an odd lad, but he had a good point. "Gagh must be stored in a cellar, where conditions are dank. Never in a plastic box!" she pointed out to the waiter. She didn't know if this place had proper gagh storage conditions, but they were humans, so the answer was probably "no". [NPC - Max Williams - Kitchen, Blue Beta]With the order coming into the kitchen, Max took the gagh out of their state-of-the-art gagh container, and loaded it, with all the usual blood and juices, into bowls. "Pizza is not gonna cut it," he muttered, fretting for his wife, as he handed these horrific creations to the servers.

[ Seamus - Blue Beta] Ignoring the excited pounding on the bar top and dismissing the disbelief and accusations of them being tricked. Seamus was quick to reassure the one who had questioned the freshness of the gagh, once their Captain had explained the proper storage method for the delicacie. " Ours is definitely fresh as we get it from the Klingon restaurant on the Promenade. My boss also invested in the proper storage facilities for the gagh".Hoping to satisfy them as he had done with the younger female. Seamus left them to their blood wine as the gagh appeared and was expertly delivered to the table by Jack.

{Quoted Posts} [Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Commanding Officer's Office]Judy took another slice of cheese pizza, and was gently relishing her legendary six-cheese blend as the security personnel spoke. "Yes, let's search for them," she agreed. Normally, she'd just use the internal sensors, but this team likely hadn't even checked into that system properly. "What's your guess, casino or bar?"There was only a handful of places a group of Klingons was likely to stray off too, and all of them involved booze. Judy just hoped they hadn't set up shop at the Spotty Alibi. [ SCPO Melihn Ryah - CO's Office] Ryah's lips quirked to the side at the captain's comment and she replied, Not sure, but they can check both.' She started to reach for her combadge, then shook her head. ' Actually, Captain, why don't S'Riia and I go look ourselves? It's the same difference, really, and you can always call us back if they show up. Since we're involved in the investigation, it might be best to not broadcast the fact that there's a meeting going on.' Plus she didn't like just sitting there waiting. [NPC - PO1 S'Riia - CO's Office, Front Ear Station ] S'Riia's ears twitched at the Captain's agreement to search for the Klingons. At least they weren't leaving the Klingons to arrive on their own any longer. Who knew how long that would take? "Bar definitely," S'Riia offered. "Perfect place to boast loudly and gain an impromptu audience." If they were gambling, then it was likely everyone's attention would be on the game and not the Klingons. Most of the Klingons S'Riia had had the pleasure of meeting tended to like a lot of attention. Ryah then made the suggestion to the captain that she and S'Riia could actually go and search for them. S'Riia's eyes widened with a hint of optimism. Her tail even uncoiled around the leg of the chair. Something to do other than sitting there waiting? Her eyes turned to look at the Captain, to see if she were willing to concede to let the pair of security officers personally conduct the search. Tag: Judith Eastman , Ozu Saya (Ryah)
[NPC - Rimi Mora - Blue Beta Bar, Front Ear Station ] Rimi Mora was pissed. Not that that was anything new these days. However, her meeting with her multivariable calculus teacher had been what Rimi considered a waste of time. It had only been a couple of weeks since her arrival on the station, and already she was catching grief from one of her teachers. And then he had the nerve to suggest that Rimi become study buddies with Anna Williams until she got the hang of things. Anna Williams... little Miss Perfect... the blond that could do no wrong. Pretty hard to manage any wrong when you were the Captain's daughter. Yeah... as far as Rimi was concerned, she'd rather fail all on her own. Not that that would be an option. Her father hadn't been pleased with her last test score, among other things. In fact, she was supposed to be in their quarters right now... studying. If she wasn't at school, she was supposed to be at home. Well, that wasn't going to happen. Her father was way on a mission aboard the Mac, which meant she was in charge by default. Rimi strolled past the entrance to the Blue Beta Bar, her sweater, loose and off her shoulder, making her (Trill) spots easily visible. Though, what had gotten her attention was the loud, boisterous sound of the Klingons. Were they about to fight?! Rimi paused looking to see if there was any sign of bloodshed. Opting for a closer look, she quickly whipped inside and slipped into a booth. Rimi took out a small book, and began to sketch, her eyes practically glued to the Klingons. She simply wanted to be there until whatever was going down, actually went down. It was by far the most exciting thing happening on this station. Her only hope was to avoid Seamus. He was such a tool. Practically ripped a Coridanite Run right out of her hand right after some hunky spacer passing by on a cargo ship had bought it for her. To add insult to injury he had the nerve to tell the guy that she was just a kid. She was a perfectly mature sixteen. The last time he'd run her off, he gave some lame excuse about her not buying anything. Sadly, that was still out of the question, given that her dad hadn't left her access to any credits. He'd said she could find all the food she wanted... at home. Was every adult getting off on ruining her life?

"Well, then it sounds like you both know what to do," she observed. "I'll go crochet for a bit, and you two get going."She stood up from the conference table and walked towards her desk. She had a little crochet corgi in progress, to keep busy in her down time. "Do take Petty Officer Jenkins with you. The Klingons know him," she ordered, loud enough that Jenkins in the antechamber could hear. He had been the one to correspond with them when she was busy, such as on Caldonia, or when Klopar called during Judy's therapy sessions. "Yes, ma'am," a reluctant Roland agreed, knowing full well that when he accepted his PO2 rank from Captain Eastman, he also accepted the same potpourri of duties that Mabel had.

[ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Blue Beta] Jurgha laughed. She was hungry, and eager for some gagh, yes. In her appetite she had chosen to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Still, it was amusing to watch Durwot and Klopar pressure them some more. Though it looked like the puny human had a ready answer for everything… so they would just have to wait and see whether it was typical meaningless words. She drank her bloodwine, and when the gagh was brought to the table, she leaned over and picked some up with her fingers. It wriggled deliciously, but she scowled as it went down. “Bah! You got it wrong! There is not enough sauce!” Jurgha shouted after their hosts. She downed some more bloodwine, and proceeded to eat more of the gagh anyway. [Leanna's Quarters - Civilian Decks] When her carefully chosen words got the response that she had been hoping for. Lea knew that he wanted to counteract her playfulness by teasing her until he laughed at how she had deliberately finished her thought. As tempting as it had been to continue teasing him and having it lead to what it usually did. Leanna was looking forward to lunch and to their plans for the day. So as Riyo answered her by agreeing with her food choices before sneaking in some teasing with his not eating too much and food coma comments. " That's very true and we wouldn't want that to happen do we?" she replied in agreement, even if she did add a sprinkle of teasing to it.
Tag Jovireh Velal [Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Leanna's Quarters]"So much to do, so little time," Riyo replied jokingly as she agreed about not taking a nap after lunch. He turned his attention back to his glass and took a small sip. While he could easily finish it all in a single drink, he had said he'd make it last so they didn't have to start getting ready right away. His thoughts strayed a little as he relaxed against the couch and held her. As difficult as their reduced time together had been, he was getting more accustomed to his duty restrictions. It really had reduced the stress in his life, not working any shifts outside his clinic and his team being competent and understanding enough to take over the few emergencies that had crossed his path in that time. It made it a lot easier to redirect his thoughts from his memories the way Felicity had suggested, and he was also finding it easier to focus on the meditation T'Aco had taught him at the end of each day. The nightmares were still there, and he missed Lea's gentle comfort after waking from each, but every passing week it was getting easier for him to shake them off and go back to sleep. The progress was reassuring, and he had hope that in a couple more weeks he'd be ready to lower the dosage of his nightly medication a little bit more.

[Leanna's Quarters - Civilian Decks] Riyo may of been joking when he spoke, but Lea was acutely aware of how precious their time together was lately. With the kids on vacation he had the option of staying over without worrying about affecting their sleep or causing any unnecessary upset. She knew that he didn't want that and how much he missed her being there on a night. However it would be worth it, to see him nightmare free and no longer dependant on the meds. His progress had been remarkable so far and made them appreciate this time even more, especially getting some kind of normality back. " Agreed, although you get to be with me the entire time and tomorrow.... well you get the idea".Of course she just happened to tease him and likely wouldn't stop even when they left for the bar.

[NPC - Rimi Mora - Blue Beta Bar, Front Ear Station ] The young Trill continued to do her best to hide in plain sight. Her eyes, were still glued to these Klingons. In all honesty, given how much she'd heard about them, she'd never really seen any up this close. They were... eccentric... unruly... passionate. They seemed to demand respect, even if it was through fear. Rimi's eyes only moved away from the trio of Klingons to check her sketch. It was hardly an exact likeness. More like... caricatures. She thought about what would make it more amusing, and began to add a word bubble to one of the Klingon females. Plus, with the Klingons there, there was hardly anyone to care about Rimi being there. Now, was there anyone new on the staff that she could sucker into getting her an actual drink?

He'd had more fun, but on the bright side, at least Mabel wasn't leading this security op... he was still haunted by that one morning on the pirate ship, not so much from what happened but from what could've happened. "By my count, there are four establishments that serve both bloodwine and gagh: the Twilight, the Spotty Alibi, Take Me Gagh, and the Blue Beta," he informed the two superiors, with a bit of confidence acquired from working in the CO's office.

[Durwot, son of Sh'root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill]
The human continued to maintain that what they were serving was of an acceptable quality. As Jurgha dug in, she exposed a very basic flaw. Not enough sauce. "If you can't even get the sauce right why do you expect us to believe you can get the dish itself right!" he scowled, pointing his finger accusatorially at the server. So much for the Federation's supposed skill at diplomacy. To serve terrible gagh was even worse than not having it as an option at all, in Durwot's mind.

[NPC - Captain Klopar, daughter of Krak - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]Klopar hadn't been able to eat any gagh of her own, when Jurgha correctly evaluated a dearth of sauce. The Captain took a sniff, and then gave the bowl a lick, to confirm. "This cannot be called gagh!" she agreed with her subordinates. "This is a human potato salad!"This station apparently had a reputation for good food, but clearly that reputation was by and for its human inhabitants. Humans had horrible taste in food, having devised such things as rootbeer, potato salad, and Hawaiian pizza, and Klopar should've known to adjust her expectations accordingly. Still, she ate, finding bland gagh better than no gagh. Hopefully Durwot would not accuse their hosts of poisoning them, like he had done more than once before.

[ Jack - Blue Beta] Having delivered the gagh to the three rowdy Klingons who could be heard all the way in the Kitchen. Jack had expected to just set the slightly repulsive dishes on the table and then leave them to enjoy it. That was until they started to complain and make comparisons. Then again that was their opinion despite knowing that Max had made it right following instructions from their friends. Deciding not to rock the boat, especially since it hadn't stopped them from eating it, Jack did acknowledge them. " We'll remember that for next time but for now this is on the house" he replied, knowing that Seamus and Lea wouldn't mind him doing so. Hoping that would placate them, Jack left the table thanks to him spotting trouble in the form of Rimi. He didn't go over just yet but at least she would see him.

[ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Blue Beta] The gagh slid down her throat, its dryness combated with a hearty gulp of bloodwine. “The bloodwine better be ‘on the house’ too, for our trouble!” Jurgha roared after the waiter. She turned to her companions with a smirk. “You can tell these Federationers all about how to serve gagh, but without eating it themselves, they will never get it right! I bet none of them have the stomach for true warriors’ food.” To prove the point, she looked around for the closest customer, who happened to be a young Trill. “You there! Have you ever had proper gagh?”tag Isaiah Quinn Judith Eastman Matthew Harmon Leanna Mazal
