{Quoted Posts} [Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & PO2 Roland L. Jenkins - Commanding Officer's Office]Judy smiled at the two young women, fully understanding the eagerness to act and appreciating their readiness to get going. "Well, then it sounds like you both know what to do," she observed. "I'll go crochet for a bit, and you two get going."She stood up from the conference table and walked towards her desk. She had a little crochet corgi in progress, to keep busy in her down time. "Do take Petty Officer Jenkins with you. The Klingons know him," she ordered, loud enough that Jenkins in the antechamber could hear. He had been the one to correspond with them when she was busy, such as on Caldonia, or when Klopar called during Judy's therapy sessions. "Yes, ma'am," a reluctant Roland agreed, knowing full well that when he accepted his PO2 rank from Captain Eastman, he also accepted the same potpourri of duties that Mabel had. [SCPO Melihn Ryah - Captain's Quarters --> En Route to Promenade] Ryah smiled as Judy picked up a little project she was working on. She couldn't identify what it was, but it looked cute. ' Let's go, petty officers,' Ryah said with an encompassing wave to include Jenkins. ' We can go poke our heads in all the likely places on the promenade. Surely they won't be difficult to spot.' The diminutive chief led the way to the nearest turbolift, letting her hand drop briefly to check the position of her phaser at her belt. Hopefully, they wouldn't need to shoot these Klingons they were supposed to be working with. It might be the only way they'd show her any respect, though. Species with more aggressive tendencies tended to vastly underestimate her. [NPC - PO1 S'Riia - CO's Office --> EnRoute to Promenade, Front Ear Station ] S'Riia found herself oddly vested in Captain Eastman's crochet project a tad longer than the others. It took a blink for her to realize that Chief Melihn had already begun moving, and PO Jenkins was already preparing to get underway. The half-Caitian quickly turned and followed the others out and towards the turbolift. She could hear Ryan's words, not wanting this to become an actual situation, yet the chances of that were quite even in S'Riia's opinion. One thing she did agree with was that the Klingons wouldn't be hard to find at all. "I don't think we've received any complaints yet," S'Riia said as she stepped into the tube along with Ryah and Roland. "Maybe we'll get to them before they break anything." That wasn't to suggest that Klingons were vandals by nature. A few of them simply tended to get... caught up in the moment. Tag: Ozu Saya (Ryah), Judith Eastman (Roland)
[NPC - Rimi Mora - Blue Beta Bar, Front Ear Station ] The young Trill continued to do her best to hide in plain sight. Her eyes, were still glued to these Klingons. In all honesty, given how much she'd heard about them, she'd never really seen any up this close. They were... eccentric... unruly... passionate. They seemed to demand respect, even if it was through fear. Rimi's eyes only moved away from the trio of Klingons to check her sketch. It was hardly an exact likeness. More like... caricatures. She thought about what would make it more amusing, and began to add a word bubble to one of the Klingon females. Plus, with the Klingons there, there was hardly anyone to care about Rimi being there. Now, was there anyone new on the staff that she could sucker into getting her an actual drink? [ SCPO Melihn Ryah - Captain's Quarters --> En Route to Promenade] Ryah smiled as Judy picked up a little project she was working on. She couldn't identify what it was, but it looked cute. Jenkins - En route to the Promenade]Jenkins, unarmed and feeling rather inadequate for it, tagged along. He'd had more fun, but on the bright side, at least Mabel wasn't leading this security op... he was still haunted by that one morning on the pirate ship, not so much from what happened but from what could've happened. "By my count, there are four establishments that serve both bloodwine and gagh: the Twilight, the Spotty Alibi, Take Me Gagh, and the Blue Beta," he informed the two superiors, with a bit of confidence acquired from working in the CO's office.
Tag Ozu Saya , Isaiah Quinn [ SCPO Melihn Ryah - En Route to Promenade] As they entered the turbolift and Jenkins listed off the most probable locations for the Klingons, Ryah sucked her teeth for a moment, considering. It might not be the most obvious choice for gagh, but it is the most popular restaurant on the station. And the best-known.

[Durwot, son of Sh'root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill]
The human continued to maintain that what they were serving was of an acceptable quality. As Jurgha dug in, she exposed a very basic flaw. Not enough sauce. "If you can't even get the sauce right why do you expect us to believe you can get the dish itself right!" he scowled, pointing his finger accusatorially at the server. So much for the Federation's supposed skill at diplomacy. To serve terrible gagh was even worse than not having it as an option at all, in Durwot's mind. [ Jack - Blue Beta] Having delivered the gagh to the three rowdy Klingons who could be heard all the way in the Kitchen. Jack had expected to just set the slightly repulsive dishes on the table and then leave them to enjoy it. That was until they started to complain and make comparisons. Then again that was their opinion despite knowing that Max had made it right following instructions from their friends. Deciding not to rock the boat, especially since it hadn't stopped them from eating it, Jack did acknowledge them. " We'll remember that for next time but for now this is on the house" he replied, knowing that Seamus and Lea wouldn't mind him doing so. Hoping that would placate them, Jack left the table thanks to him spotting trouble in the form of Rimi. He didn't go over just yet but at least she would see him. [ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Blue Beta] The gagh slid down her throat, its dryness combated with a hearty gulp of bloodwine. “The bloodwine better be ‘on the house’ too, for our trouble!” Jurgha roared after the waiter. She turned to her companions with a smirk. “You can tell these Federationers all about how to serve gagh, but without eating it themselves, they will never get it right! I bet none of them have the stomach for true warriors’ food.” To prove the point, she looked around for the closest customer, who happened to be a young Trill. “You there! Have you ever had proper gagh?” [ SCPO Melihn Ryah - En Route to Promenade] As they entered the turbolift and Jenkins listed off the most probable locations for the Klingons, Ryah sucked her teeth for a moment, considering. With only four likely options, it wouldn't take them too long to check all the locations. ' I may be trapping the wrong vole, but let's start with the Blue Beta. It would be just their luck. It was only a short ride, and soon the three non-coms were exiting the 'lift onto the liveliest area on the station. Despite the relative isolation of Front Ear, they had a steady flow of visitors, mostly traders, and a number of permanent residents. [NPC - PO1 S'Riia - CO's Office --> EnRoute to Promenade, Front Ear Station ] As Roland called out the possible destinations, S'Riia quickly entertained the notion of each as the Klingon's possible destination. S'Riia quickly dismissed the Twilight, fairly certain that Brack would already have summoned security out of sheer fear of the damage the Klingons could do simply out of excitement. The Spotty Alibi? Most Klingons had honor... and by extension, standards. That was out. Take Me Gagh typically flew under the radar, being that only a select few had a taste for it. The Blue Beta, however, seemed rather promising, and it seemed that Chief Melihn agreed, having come to the same conclusion. It was the most known, and Klingons by nature gravitated to the most notable, whether it be a restaurant or a rival in combat. Ryah mentioned going in without quietly in hopes of avoiding a scene. S'Riia only hoped that the woman hadn't spoken their fate into existence. "Just remember, you're the one that said it, sir," S'Riia said with a slight smile. As the lift halted and the doors parted, S'Riia stepped out of the tube along with the rest of the team. People seemed to naturally shift out of the way of the three Starfleet officers as they closed in on the Blue Beta. From meters away, almost from the time they stepped off the lift, S'Riia could hear the boisterous Klingons. Her ears twitched, guiding her effortlessly towards the location. She stepped inside, and could see that their mere presence seemed to hold much of the establishment hostage. Much of the staff and the other patrons were giving them a wide berth, but it seemed that at least one young, Trill girl had gained their attention. Instinctively, S'Riia's hand brushed against the grip of her phaser as she prepared to follow Ryah's lead.
[NPC - Rimi Mora - Blue Beta Bar, Front Ear Station ] The Klingons were... amusing. Loud, but amusing. At least for Rimi. Of course, that was probably only from her point of view. The staff of the Blue Beta was walking on eggshells around these Klingons as they seemed to have bullied their way into free drinks and a free meal. Even Jack had comp their meals when they made their dissatisfaction widely known. She shaded in what seemed like a unibrow on the male Klingon caricature. She quickly looked away, when Jack glanced in her direction. Perhaps if she pretended not to see him, he'd for once not notice her. Though, it seemed she had gained someone's attention, but it wasn't Jack's. One of the Klingon females had asked about having proper gagh. When Rimi turned, and her eyes met with the Klingon woman's... she knew that the question had been directed at her. All of a sudden, the amusement she had towards the Klingons gave way to fear. Rimi swallowed... or at least tried to. It felt like she was trying to swallow gravel whole as she tried to muster up an answer. She didn't want to upset the Klingons by making them think she was ignoring them. The words didn't come out at first, but her head was shaking a no rather slowly. "I... I'm... al-lergic... I think," she finally managed to get out, though it felt like just spoken the longest sentence in the world. Rimi wasn't allergic to gagh as far as she knew, but she was pretty sure she'd hurl all over their boots if one of those squiggly things came within a decimeter of her lips. Part of her wanted to run, but would that piss these guys off? Her hand shut the book she'd been drawing the caricatures in, but her eyes remained fixed on the trio. Maybe they'd just grow board and leave her alone.

[Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill] Was it incompetence, or were they attempting to poison them? It wouldn’t be the first time someone had attempted to poison Durwot. He held up and examined some of the gagh, before staring back into the eyes of the server as he promised the food would be on the house. This served only to make Durwot more suspicious. “If you have poisoned this I swear to you I will get my revenge before I die,” he threatened. He was a strong warrior. He was even purple belt in Mok’bara. Even if he was poisoned and doomed to a painful death, he would be able to hang on by the power of spite long enough to exact his righteous revenge. When Jurgha offered the gagh to one of the puny Federationers, Durwot let out a hearty laugh, for a moment forgetting about the potential poisoning. Of course, the weak Trill female was scared of the gagh. “Isn’t your kind used to having live worms inside you?” He mocked, having read enough about the Trill to understand that they often consumed a larger live worm in order to become one with the worm. Something like that, anyway. “Eat! Eat! Eat!” He began chanting, thumping his fists onto the table as he did so. Tag: Shavan Th'zhaar, Judith Eastman, Leanna Mazal, Isaiah Quinn

[Leanna's Quarters - Civilian Decks] Riyo may of been joking when he spoke, but Lea was acutely aware of how precious their time together was lately. With the kids on vacation he had the option of staying over without worrying about affecting their sleep or causing any unnecessary upset. She knew that he didn't want that and how much he missed her being there on a night. However it would be worth it, to see him nightmare free and no longer dependant on the meds. His progress had been remarkable so far and made them appreciate this time even more, especially getting some kind of normality back. " Agreed, although you get to be with me the entire time and tomorrow.... well you get the idea".Of course she just happened to tease him and likely wouldn't stop even when they left for the bar.
Tag Jovireh Velal [Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Leanna's Quarters]He grinned at her comment, kissing her again before taking another sip from his glass. She was right; they did get more time together this week than they had been, and Riyo had every intention of making the most of it. "Unfortunately... We should probably start getting ready soon. Before our appetites change." He added the last comment with a suggestive wink. As much as he loved staying in with her, it would be nice to get out for a bit. At least pretend that their time together wasn't short.

Tag Leanna Mazal [Leanna's Quarters - Civilian Decks] Accepting the kiss with just an extra hint of passion, especially after his response to her purposefully worded comment, Lea let it linger knowing how much this extra time meant to them both. Reluctantly pulling away for the moment at least as Riyo suggested that they should probably start getting ready soon. Grinning at the way he had finished the comment with a suggestive wink and yet knew that he was right. " That's true and we wouldn't want them to change just yet" she quipped as she playfully escaped from his embrace. Making sure he got a very appropriate view as she stood and made her way into the bedroom, in order to get dressed for their lunch date. As much as she had enjoyed lounging in her robe, it felt good to take it off, letting it drop to the floor as she chose ripped jeans and a long flowing top to put on.

She was no Ferengi, but she didn't like to pay for subpar wares. [ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Blue Beta] Poison? Eh. Jurgha could stomach anything. Durwot’s suspicions about the food, bland or no, were of little concern. She laughed at the Trill girl’s terrified expression and Durwot’s comment about live worms. And then another human entered, at just the right time to issue a challenge of his own. “Ha! No challenge should go unanswered! You both will have to eat!” She looked from one of them to the other. Jurgha pushed the writhing bowl of gagh, of which there was still plenty left, away from herself. “Let us see who can really stomach more.”With her attention on the scene in front of her, she also paid little attention to who else was leaving or arriving at the restaurant. tag Matthew Harmon Isaiah Quinn , soft tag Judith Eastman Charlie Fox

{Quoted Posts} [NPC - PO2 Roland L.
It might not be the most obvious choice for gagh, but it is the most popular restaurant on the station. And the best-known.
Deck 8,' she ordered the 'lift once they were loaded in. ' Let's try to go in softly. I don't want to have to arrest the people we're supposed to be meeting with.' Ryah chuckled softly.

Avi approached and stood right next to Chief Melihn, and crossed her arms affecting a mocking stance of authority then waited for Jurgha to recognize her. Ozu Saya (Ryah), Shavan Th'zhaar (Jurgha)

Though, it seemed that one of the patrons wasn't going to just stand by and watch the Klingons torment the teen. S'Riia recognized Commander Greg Ellis instantly. In some ways, one could say that he'd called the male Klingon's honor into question, being that he was practically picking on a child for his amusement. The girl, seemed terrified enough as it was. It was at that moment that Chief Melihn chose to intervene. Though, just as she moved forward, S'Riia could have sworn that Roland had suggested that the pair of them go first, being that he was unarmed. S'Riia turned, briefly giving him a quizzical look, before falling in behind Ryah for support. She stood just behind the woman, staring at the Klingons. The half-Caitian was hoping they would accept this escort to the Captain without incident. Hopefully, they'd had their fill of amusement at the expense of others for the day.
[NPC - Rimi Mora - Blue Beta Bar, Front Ear Station ] Nobody was doing anything. Perhaps this some sort of karmic payback? Rimi couldn't help but think that the universe had surely taken more than enough from the girl. It wasn't satisfied with her mother's life, now it wanted hers as well? And then, there he was. Strong... dark-hair... fearless. He confronted the Klingons, not content to simply stand aside and allow Rimi to fall prey to their bullying. She could finally hear the pounding of her heart in her ears, but more than that... she could breathe. She didn't take her eyes off of them. Soon, several Starfleet security officers rushed in. They were conveniently late. Perhaps they were content to visit with Rimi in the infirmary or the morgue, since she hadn't shown up in their offices this week. More likely, they didn't want to be upstaged by her hero. And out of nowhere, that surly Bolian appeared in the mix as well. What did she want? Even now, Rimi still couldn't bring herself to move an inch. Not until she knew that she was completely safe.

[Lt.
Tag Jovireh Velal [Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Leanna's Quarters]Riyo let her go, watching as always as she showed off for him on her way to the bedroom. Finishing the rest of his drink in a single gulp, he stood and put the empty glass in the replicator before setting about finding clothes himself. He settled on comfortable jeans and a plain black tshirt for the day, making sure the pendant she'd given him was visible over the fabric. Giving her a kiss as he passed her in the bedroom, he grabbed his 'lucky' brown leather jacket out of the closet and pulled it on. It was a bit of a more casual look than he went for when they went out together, but it was reminiscent of what he'd been wearing the night they met. "Ready when you are," he told her after running his hands through his hair to smooth it down. It wouldn't do to go to her place of work looking like he just rolled out of bed.

[Leanna's Quarters - Civilian Decks] With the final addition of jewellery, sandals and a spritz of her favourite perfume, the one that she often wore around Riyo. Leanna smiled as Riyo passed her in the bedroom, accepting his kiss with a subtle hint of intensity. Admiring the way his pendant looked against the black t-shirt. When he then grabbed his brown leather jacket, Leanna paused for just a moment as she remembered how he looked the night they had met and how he had recreated that for their lunch date. " I'm ready" she replied as he ran his hands through his hair. Resisting the urge to do the same to him as she pulled on a thin black jacket. Then she stole another kiss as she took hold of his hand and led the way out.

[Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill]
Suddenly, a human interloper decided to intervene and foolishly attempt to protect this Trill. Durwot snarled at the man, he stood up and scoffed with disgust. "A Sh'root doesn't bother with pathetic challenges from a puny human," he spat, angrily. Klopar then decided to degrade Durwot. It was an honour serving under her, but sometimes it seemed he didn't appreciate Durwot's many talents. "This human is weak, Klopar! Not worthy of being wedded to a Sh'root!" he protested. Jurgha then decided to re-issue the challenge, putting him in an unfortunate position. Honour dictated he must follow through, but he detested the idea of letting the human win. Eventually he turned around and grabbed a handful of the terrible, dry, gagh and shoved it down his throat. It was awful without the proper sauce, but he managed to consume it all with impressive haste. "Now you go!" he demanded, shoving the bowl towards the human who had challenged him. He was so focused on the insults to his honour that he didn't even notice Security was now there.

{Spoiler}{Quotes} [NPC - Captain Klopar, daughter of Krak - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]Klopar could certainly appreciate the humans owning up to their bland gagh, and offering it for free. She was no Ferengi, but she didn't like to pay for subpar wares. She watched with relish as her subordinates messed with the Trill (a little horseplay never hurt anyone), and then even more so as the handsome human confronted Durwot. "Finally, a worthy mate!" she exclaimed, seemingly nonsensical. "You should take Durwot as your bride!"It was no mistake at all. Klopar enjoyed getting Durwot worked up in ways like this. She was oblivious to the Starfleet security personnel encroaching.
He was so focused on the insults to his honour that he didn't even notice Security was now there [Gregory Ellis - Blue Beta, Promenade]
The one called Durwot seemed immensely unimpressed by his challenge, though the other two Klingons with him seemed quite enthusiastic about it. So much so that one even offered the son of Sh'root as a prospective bride. The other one's reaction was perhaps even more worrying - a suggestion that they both consume the gagh. Greg managed to hide his knee-jerk reaction of disgust. He looked to the side, toward the young girl they'd been harassing, and knew the decision had been made before he'd even approached the table. Whether his words had ended in a physical altercation or the need for Station Security interference, he'd run the risk as more than acceptable. He schooled his features into something else. "You speak of my weakness, when you yourself act as though you're barely out of jak'tahla[fn]Klingon time of adolescence[/fn]!" He watched, speechless then, as his opponent grabbed a fistful of the wriggling giant worms and snarfed it. Greg, incidentally, had tried gagh precisely one in his life, had declared it 'interesting', but not for him, and had never partaken again. He grimaced. You can do this, he thought, being his own little cheerleader, it is simple mind over matter."Don't let me die of food poisoning," he muttered quietly, his head turned to the side and speaking only to Rimi. Then he grabbed his own fistful of live worm-like things, and before he could even let himself think about it any further, stuffed them into his mouth. "Mmm," he managed, rubbing his stomach for effect. It was then that he noticed the officers joining the party. Their timing sucked.
