{Click for quotes} [ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Blue Beta] Poison? Eh. Jurgha could stomach anything. Durwot’s suspicions about the food, bland or no, were of little concern. She laughed at the Trill girl’s terrified expression and Durwot’s comment about live worms. And then another human entered, at just the right time to issue a challenge of his own. “Ha! No challenge should go unanswered! You both will have to eat!” She looked from one of them to the other. Jurgha pushed the writhing bowl of gagh, of which there was still plenty left, away from herself. “Let us see who can really stomach more.”With her attention on the scene in front of her, she also paid little attention to who else was leaving or arriving at the restaurant. [ SCPO Melihn Ryah - Blue Beta] Ryah was just a little pleased with herself that her hunch had been correct. They could hear the Klingons before they even got through the door, but it didn't sound like they were too rowdy...yet. Not knowing who was who, but knowing the names of the Klingons, Ryah approached the table and addressed them loudly to break through the noise, ' Excuse me! Captain Klopar? I'm Senior Chief Melihn. We're supposed to be in a meeting...' She left it at that, not wanting to reveal too much where others could overhear. [ Avi Moz | Blue Beta ]You could always hear Klingons before you saw them and such was the case as Avi approached the Blue Beta. There was a small knot of stationers engaging with the three Klingons around bowls of gagh, and indeed, Jurgha was among them. And oh treasure, security had already arrived. Avi approached and stood right next to Chief Melihn, and crossed her arms affecting a mocking stance of authority then waited for Jurgha to recognize her. [NPC - PO1 S'Riia - CO's Office --> Blue Beta Bar, Front Ear Station ] S'Riia was fairly confident that they had arrived just in time to prevent things from escalating too far. Though, it seemed that one of the patrons wasn't going to just stand by and watch the Klingons torment the teen. S'Riia recognized Commander Greg Ellis instantly. In some ways, one could say that he'd called the male Klingon's honor into question, being that he was practically picking on a child for his amusement. The girl, seemed terrified enough as it was. It was at that moment that Chief Melihn chose to intervene. Though, just as she moved forward, S'Riia could have sworn that Roland had suggested that the pair of them go first, being that he was unarmed. S'Riia turned, briefly giving him a quizzical look, before falling in behind Ryah for support. She stood just behind the woman, staring at the Klingons. The half-Caitian was hoping they would accept this escort to the Captain without incident. Hopefully, they'd had their fill of amusement at the expense of others for the day.
[NPC - Rimi Mora - Blue Beta Bar, Front Ear Station ] Nobody was doing anything. Perhaps this some sort of karmic payback? Rimi couldn't help but think that the universe had surely taken more than enough from the girl. It wasn't satisfied with her mother's life, now it wanted hers as well? And then, there he was. Strong... dark-hair... fearless. He confronted the Klingons, not content to simply stand aside and allow Rimi to fall prey to their bullying. She could finally hear the pounding of her heart in her ears, but more than that... she could breathe. She didn't take her eyes off of them. Soon, several Starfleet security officers rushed in. They were conveniently late. Perhaps they were content to visit with Rimi in the infirmary or the morgue, since she hadn't shown up in their offices this week. More likely, they didn't want to be upstaged by her hero. And out of nowhere, that surly Bolian appeared in the mix as well. What did she want? Even now, Rimi still couldn't bring herself to move an inch. Not until she knew that she was completely safe. [Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill]
Suddenly, a human interloper decided to intervene and foolishly attempt to protect this Trill. Durwot snarled at the man, he stood up and scoffed with disgust. "A Sh'root doesn't bother with pathetic challenges from a puny human," he spat, angrily. Klopar then decided to degrade Durwot. It was an honour serving under her, but sometimes it seemed he didn't appreciate Durwot's many talents. "This human is weak, Klopar! Not worthy of being wedded to a Sh'root!" he protested. Jurgha then decided to re-issue the challenge, putting him in an unfortunate position. Honour dictated he must follow through, but he detested the idea of letting the human win. Eventually he turned around and grabbed a handful of the terrible, dry, gagh and shoved it down his throat. It was awful without the proper sauce, but he managed to consume it all with impressive haste. "Now you go!" he demanded, shoving the bowl towards the human who had challenged him. He was so focused on the insults to his honour that he didn't even notice Security was now there. [Gregory Ellis - Blue Beta, Promenade]
The one called Durwot seemed immensely unimpressed by his challenge, though the other two Klingons with him seemed quite enthusiastic about it. So much so that one even offered the son of Sh'root as a prospective bride. The other one's reaction was perhaps even more worrying - a suggestion that they both consume the gagh. Greg managed to hide his knee-jerk reaction of disgust. He looked to the side, toward the young girl they'd been harassing, and knew the decision had been made before he'd even approached the table. Whether his words had ended in a physical altercation or the need for Station Security interference, he'd run the risk as more than acceptable. He schooled his features into something else. "You speak of my weakness, when you yourself act as though you're barely out of jak'tahla[fn]Klingon time of adolescence[/fn]!" He watched, speechless then, as his opponent grabbed a fistful of the wriggling giant worms and snarfed it. Greg, incidentally, had tried gagh precisely one in his life, had declared it 'interesting', but not for him, and had never partaken again. He grimaced. You can do this, he thought, being his own little cheerleader, it is simple mind over matter."Don't let me die of food poisoning," he muttered quietly, his head turned to the side and speaking only to Rimi. Then he grabbed his own fistful of live worm-like things, and before he could even let himself think about it any further, stuffed them into his mouth. "Mmm," he managed, rubbing his stomach for effect. It was then that he noticed the officers joining the party. Their timing sucked. [NPC - Captain Klopar, daughter of Krak - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]Klopar was very amused watching her subordinates mess with the locals, and seeing how she managed to get under Durwot's skin. He was a very easily upset man, but his anger made him a fierce warrior. Starfleet security, unfortunately, just had to ruin the buzz. "You're no fun at all," she grumbled. "Jurgha, Durwot, let us go! There is honor to be had elsewhere!"She chugged some more bloodwine, then stood up, ready to leave the bar.
Tag Ozu Saya, Isaiah Quinn (S'Riia), Shavan Th'zhaar, Matthew Harmon [NPC - PO2 Roland L. Jenkins - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]For Roland, this situation offered an opportunity to do as his Captain often instructed, and be thorough. "I'll stay behind and see what's what," he informed Chief Melihn, implying, but not stating, that he was looking for operational leaks. He offered a wave to Greg Ellis.

These were the station's high school debate team, a nerd-chic group of extroverted academic overachievers. One of them, a blonde-haired human with pink-rimmed eyeglasses, was a familiar figure, with an uncanny resemblance to her prominent mother. Anna had seen everything, as had her peers.

[ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Blue Beta] Jurgha laughed, watching Durwot and the human both force down some gagh. Only then did she hear the voice calling for Captain Klopar. Feet still on the table, she tilted her chair back and looked around, finally seeing the people standing in the doorway. It appeared the Federationers were impatient to start their meeting. When Klopar ordered them to go, she did not object. “Very well. There had better be more honor to be found elsewhere!” She drained the last of her bloodwine and gave the human man and Trill girl each another menacing smile before walking to the door. And standing next to the waiting security officers… Jurgha blinked at the familiar looking Bolian, who took her a moment to place. Her face split into a wide grin when she remembered. “Ha! Avi Moz! So good to see you again!” It was always good to see someone who had missed an appointment with her bat’leth. Or so Jurgha remembered it.. perhaps not entirely accurately.

[NPC - Wetrogh, son of Grerohk & Dril, son of Gak - Unknown Location, Front Ear Station]
Wetrogh sat in his secret hideout, stroking his goatee. Unlike most of his people, this warrior had lost his taste for frontal assault during the Dominion War, and grew fond of subterfuge instead. The gun-running business was good, and other than occasional hiccups, like Fatax getting arrested some time ago, the new administrations on Front Ear couldn't stop it.
"What do we know of our mystery client?" he snapped at his inept assistant, Dril. This new client claimed to be able to work miracles, even free Fatax from Federation jail, and to Wetrogh's knowledge, was Klingon. "Nothing yet," Dril answered. "Only that we meet today."

[Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Blue Beta]As they approached the entrance of the bar and restaurant hand in hand, Riyo could hear the unmistakable, elevated voices of a group of Klingons. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, at least. "Friends of yours?" he asked Leanna with a grin of amusement, recalling a story she'd told him awhile back. Turned out the group was more diverse than he'd expected... A couple of security, a Bolian civilian, a human man and a Trill kid all seemed to be engaged with the Klingons somehow. Not that he could blame them... They didn't get Klingon visitors on the station very often. He paused, waiting to see if Lea wanted to join the group or find a table for themselves.

[Blue Beta - Promenade] The scene that greeted the couple as they arrived at the bar hand in hand, wasn't exactly what Lea had expected. Yes she had heard through the unofficial rumour mill that a group of Klingons were due to arrive at the station. However seeing Greg and Station Security amongst the small rambunctious and loud group could only mean trouble. Having been around Klingons and understanding some of their customs, it looked as though some kind of challenge had been made and wasn't completely surprised to see Rimi at the centre of it all. There was definitely an explanation to be had as to what had really happened although it appeared as though the situation was being dealt with. When Riyo then asked if they were friends of hers with a hint of amusement, Lea turned to him and was completely honest with her Imzadi, yet happy that he had remembered that story. " Not this time but it looks as though something has happened, no doubt we'll get the full story shortly" she replied before deciding that it was probably a good idea to choose a table close to what was going on. " Let's sit over there and we can keep an eye on things" she suggested, indicating a table close by Rimi and the others as she acknowledged Greg and the Security team.

Durwot growled back at the human as he further insulted his honour. "I challenge you to a duel!" he said as the pathetic man tried desperately to keep the gagh down. He was then pulled out of his tunnel vison focus on that human by an order from Klopar to leave. It seems Starfleet had sent interlopers. No doubt they knew that their people would lose any inevitable scuffle with the mighty Klingon trio. "This isn't over, human!" he declared, before sculling the rest of his bloodwine, a decent portion of which seemed to miss his mouth, and then storming off after Klopar.

[ SCPO Melihn Ryah - Blue Beta --> CO's Office] Oh, this was turning into a potential disaster - a challenge from a Klingon to a human, a teenaged Trill involved somehow, whom Ryah took a moment to eyeball, (must be new on the station, Ryah thought), and now Avi Moz showing up for some reason. Yup, disaster all around, but thankfully, the Klingon captain acknowledged Ryah and commanded her people to follow. Ryah turned and trotted ahead, knowing that the Klingons wouldn't have any difficulty keeping up with her short stride. In short order, the odd group was back outside the captain's office and Ryah was ringing the chime and stepping aside to allow the others to enter first. ---------- Tag Isaiah Quinn, Shavan Th'zhaar, Matthew Harmon, Judith Eastman

It actually took every bit of training for S'Riia not to vomit herself at the sight of them both eating a handful of those squiggly worms. The important thing, as far as S'Riia was concerned, was that order had been restored. The Klingons seemed prepared to meet with Captain Eastman finally, the Trill girl appeared to be okay, if not a little rattled, and no property had been damaged. Thus far, paper work for vandalism had been avoided. It was always such a tedious process in its own right. S'Riia stood by as Chief Melihn took point in escorting the Klingons to the Captain. Jenkins appeared to be staying behind. As she moved past him, S'Riia glanced at him before shaking her head slowly.
[NPC - Rimi Mora - Blue Beta Bar, Front Ear Station ] Rimi didn't know what to say. Her eyes were wide in a mix of horror and admiration as Greg stuffed the handful of gagh into his mouth. His words still rang softly in her ears. She wanted to tell him not to do it, but the fear that had frozen her, had frozen her tongue and lips as well. All she could do was watch... which seemed to be all the Starfleet officers could do, as they finally stepped forward to intervene. It made her feel even worse about Greg, and the sacrifice he had made for her. She watched him closely, hoping that he wouldn't choke, or that the gagh would eat their way back out right through his stomach. There was easily a look of worry on her face, that remained until she finally noticed that others had their eyes upon her. Eyes that were filled with both blame and shame, all directed at her. The first pair of eyes she noticed belonged to the security officer that appeared to be in charge: the Trill. Though, not completely. While the woman had spots, she also had ridges on her nose. Somehow any judgement from the woman stung even more so, with her being so much like Rimi... at least in belonging in part to the Trill culture along with another. Rimi quickly averted her eyes, hoping that she wasn't also trying to match her up with some watch-list that was probably posted in the security office with her picture. It was then that she saw her. As if things couldn't get any worse. Hell, little Miss Perfect and her friends were probably enjoying every minute of this. No telling how much of this was already circling on the social-feed nets. As the Klingons finally began to retreat, Rimi returned her focus and concern to the only person that deserved it. "Um... are... are you all right?" Rimi quickly kicked herself . That was a stupid question. "I mean... can I get you some water? Tequila? A new mouth?" Rimi winced slightly, as she was certain that she was epically failing at expressing anything close to gratitude.

[ Jurgha, daughter of Khar - Blue Beta] The people who had gathered around them in the restaurant began to file out, and Jurgha started to follow her captain to the meeting with the Starfleeters. Started to, but didn’t get very far. As she passed by the Bolian, Avi Moz returned her greeting. With just the wrong thing to say to a Klingon. Jurgha stopped, and leaned down to snarl in Avi’s face. “I see you still have no honor! If you wish to challenge me, then have the courage to do it to my face! Or are you just going to crawl away like a coward?” The Starfleeters were forgotten, for the moment. There was bloodwine in her stomach and an old enemy in front of her. She was hoping Avi would choose to fight.

Klopar, daughter of Krak - Commanding Officer's Office, Front Ear Station]The door came open, and in came the group, led by Klopar. Judy left her crocheting (the corgi was now complete, and she'd just started a second), and rose to greet them. "Captain. Congratulations on your promotion," the human said to the Klingon, in a manner that indicated they knew each other, friendly but not gushing with affection. "On yours as well," Klopar reciprocated. The two women took their seats at the conference table, motioning for the others to do the same. "As you all know, there's a sophisticated smuggling ring running from here to the Klingon Empire. We've gathered here to run a sting operation and bust them," Judy explained. "My team has contacted their leader, arranging a meet today at a location we choose. He knows we're Klingon, and he thinks we'll break Fatax out of your Brig," Klopar added, drawing a quizzical look from Judy. This was not part of the plan, but it would have to be now. The Captains looked around the table, Judy at the people, Klopar at the pizza. Then, Klopar shoved a slice into her mouth, folding it (as Judy would approve of), but chewing with her mouth open (forcing Judy to hide her disdain).

[NPC - PO2 Roland L. [Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill]
[Gregory Ellis - Blue Beta, Promenade]Greg's fists clenched as he chewed. His eyes were a little too wide, his stare aimed at something off in the distance as he tried to get through the next minute, second by second, bite of juicy worm by bite of juicy worm. He would not be sick. Gregory Ellis had decided to eat this gagh, and so he would eat this goddamn gagh. Once he was sure he'd chewed enough to murder the gross beasts, he swallowed. The klingons, naturally, found the whole thing hilarious. He managed a sickly-looking grin, strangely proud of himself and not in the slightest bit willing to back down. When they began to traipse off, under orders from their boss, he was somewhat pleased that the son of Sh'root was distracted from this duel. "Farewell, future bride!" He called after them, still patting his stomach. He'd have blown a kiss, but figured that was probably pushing it a bit. As the rowdy group left, he caught sight of young Jenkins waving at him. Greg returned it, though gestured as though he was beckoning him over. Then, remembering the very reason he'd come to this table in the first place, he returned his attention to Rimi. He followed the direction of the girl's stare, noting a group of other teenagers watching from a distance. He cocked a brow, believing he'd caught the meaning behind the completely silent but heavily nuanced exchange. When Rimi asked if she could get him something, he found himself chuckling softly. "I'll be fine, though the tequila isn't a bad idea. Jack!" He raised his voice a little, though he knew the keen-eyed Irishman would have missed nothing of that little scene. Greg made a drinking motion, signaling that he needed something. A palate cleanser. Drain cleaner. Anything. "Are you okay?" He asked the young lady, his tone lighthearted. "Not every day you get accosted by gagh-wielding Klingons."

"Not every day you get accosted by gagh-wielding Klingons." [NPC - PO2 Roland L. Jenkins - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]Jenkins approached the table, slowly, cautiously. There was still an angry Klingon nearby, seemingly gearing up for a fight with Avi Moz. He didn't want to make any sudden movements. "Mr. Ellis, sir," he greeted, "Ma'am."To the timid, well-raised Roland L. Jenkins, any stranger old enough to tie their own bootlace was "sir" or "ma'am". He waited to hear Rimi's answer, but with a distinct stiffness, the kind that implied - to the Starfleet eye - that something about the situation was mission-critical. [NPC - Anna E. Williams - Blue Beta Bar & Grill]At her end of the room, Anna started to feel a little too catty for her own taste, watching and judging. This wasn't who she wanted to be, and as Rimi glared at her, she averted her eyes. She knew she was in the wrong here, and though she didn't have the courage to admit it outright, she had enough compassion to try, in her own way, to make it right; Rimi hadn't wronged her, mostly because they hadn't been assigned to do a group project together. She left her group (she was station royalty and a Valedictorian-in-waiting, her status not in doubt) and walked over to the table, where Greg, Rimi, and PO Jenkins (one more reason to be nice: he was a bit stiff) sat. "How can I help?" she offered, earnestly. The voice was almost her mother's.

[ Jack - Blue Beta] He may of remained just within sight as Greg went to Rimi's rescue before taking on the young hot headed Klingon in a gagh eating challenge. But that hadn't stopped Jack from wanting to help should things escalate further. Luckily with the arrival of station security and a distraction in the form of Avi Moz. The Irish bartender was glad to see things calm down a little. Although once Lea and Riyo arrived and the majority of the Klingons left with Ryah and S'Riia. Jack wasn't about to relax, especially when the remaining Klingon accosted Avi. However he still had a job to do as Greg motioned to him regarding a drink and after hearing Tequila being mentioned. It was the least he could do for Greg's help with the situation and being impressed with how he had handled the younger Klingon. Not wasting any time, Jack went and poured a hefty measure of Tequila and added the glass to a small tray with salt and lime should Greg want it. Then he went over to the table as Anna arrived and spoke directly to Greg. " Here you go Greg, it's on me as a thank you for helping with our Klingon friends".

[Durwot, son of Sh’root - Blue Beta Bar and Grill]
Durwot growled back at the human as he continued to mock him, but obediently followed his Captain, however he was still angry that he was pulled away before he could settle his dispute honourable in a duel. Once they were in the office he simply stood in the corner arms crossed with a scowl on his face.
