[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Kerelia Colony] There was a hint of comfort that what she'd said made some sense... at least to Shavan. Kova wasn't certain how much sense she could make of it herself, at least in words. Yet, his stating that she had to look out for herself did seem to hit home. She'd spent a great deal of time looking out for others, and it had been rare that the sentiment was actually returned. He did make it a point of saying that no one else had chosen this for him, and somehow it sounded as if it was a decision he had to take. It was cryptic, but certainly more than she'd ever gotten out of him before. "Is there any chance that you're wrong?" Kova asked. "I mean... maybe there was another choice. Something other than Starfleet and... whatever came before?" Yet, that was the question: what had come before? It wasn't as if she expected Shavan to just open up then and there about his past. Yet, perhaps he had overlooked something... or perhaps he had an option now that he didn't have before. [ Shavan Th'zhaar - Kerelia Colony] Shavan hesitated, a little caught off guard by the question, though he shouldn’t have been surprised by it. Obviously, there was a whole universe out there, and he didn’t actually think that he was never wrong. It was also a question he had asked himself before. So how to explain the answer to someone with such a different perspective? “I’m not saying this has to be forever, if something better does come along." He took a deep breath. "And maybe it was the first real chance I could see to get out of... what came before. But it still was the right choice, and that’s what matters.” Or maybe he was now the one tripping on words while avoiding the real question. “Does that make sense?"Kova Sh'qaleq

[Eta Borir - LZ-2 Colony, Kerelia] Well, sensitivity was not necessarily a Cardassian's strong point, and Eta was only too willing to learn what was going on in Syl's head. This woman was somehow ... interesting. "What’s it like to be a Starfleet officer?" she asked, pressing her hair further into the sand, even though she would surely have to wash it later. There was enoug water here. [Ens. Syl O'Connell - Kerelia - LZ-2 Shoreline]Syl paused for a moment, wondering just how to honestly answer that question without going into detail. Absently running her hand through her hair, she barely even noticed the sand that was collecting in it. When she wasn't unable to come up with anything, she decided there really was no point in avoiding the subject. "Honestly... I don't really know. I only served one actual shift when things went really wrong, and I spent the following month in a labor camp on Caldonia with a few others. After we escaped, it took us a couple weeks to get back to the station... and I haven't been medically cleared for duty yet." Of course, she could say what it was supposed to be like to be a Starfleet officer... but Syl was starting to get the impression that Eta wasn't one for fanciful tales of utopia.

[Eta Borir - LZ-2 Colony, Kerelia] Eta straightened up a bit so that she was sitting now, and thought about what would be the best way to respond. Syl certainly did not want pity, nor advice. "Oh.". That was all she said. What she did say, however, was accompanied by Cardassian curiosity and compassion. She knew not very much about Caldonians, and didn't particularly want to find out more. Which is worse, a Caldonian labor camp or a Cardassian one? But she didn’t know if she really wanted an answer. Eta blinked twice, three times, four times, while she thought about what would be the best now. To go further into it, or... She lay down again and continued to think while lying down, while silence reigned. Finally, she looked at Syl and tilted her head slightly as she searched for answers. She would wait to see how Syl would react and if she wanted to talk about something else or this.

A group of Starfleet security personnel came onto the plaza, perhaps a bit too excitable, and shot everyone who seemed to be engaged in the fight with a high stun setting. Due to a shortage of space, the combatants were placed in locker rooms - one for the Cardassians, and another for the non-Cardassians.
3 hours later
[Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams), PhD - Locker Room, "Jungle" Gym, Colony, LZ-2]
Judy strode into the locker room, where the non-Cardassians had by now awoken. She looked displeased, or maybe it was just the overpowering smell of cleaning supplies in this room.
"So, first of all, I want to apologize to you. It really wasn't necessary to stun quite so many people, but our security personnel were... well, they're far more used to shooing away animals than to breaking up fights. I'm also sorry that the Ha'mara was interrupted by those Cardassians, and that we put you in this locker room; if it makes you feel better, we had to put them in a bathroom."
"Now, as for our second order of business, we don't really have reliable accounts of how this thing developed, so unless some kind of serious material evidence pops up, there will be no charges pressed."
"Moving right along, Dr. Paawin will be heading to the infirmary, and he can escort anyone who needs medical care."
"You're all free to go, but I would appreciate it if someone wants to tell me exactly what happened, from your perspective."
Judy was a little disappointed in her officers for getting involved in this mess, but she was clearly far more displeased with the Cardassian delegation, as well as with the heavy-handed dirtside security group.
[NPCs - PO2 Roland L. Jenkins & Ito Eka - Grandview Conference Room]
In the conference room, Judy had entrusted Josh to conduct the interrogation, in the hope that he would perform a bit better on this task. She would've preferred Matt Harmon, quite frankly, but she didn't have him on hand.
In terms of information, there was plenty obtained while security hunted down Ms. Ito in the jungle. For example, it turned out that the young woman's substantial gambling debts had been wiped out just before she began work on this project, and that she had deposited a large amount of Cardassian currency in her accounts. All accounts also indicated her to be a loner, very shy, and not outdoorsy. This information was made available to the interrogators.
"It's time," Jenkins announced, bringing the Bajoran IT tech in to Niles at the conference room. "Why do you need me?" Eka asked meekly.

[ Apazi Fellin,Vedek Dima Emmari | Locker Room ] There were five Bajorans in the room - the vedek, both ranjen monks, Apazi Fellin, and Paawin Riyo. The vedek had removed his ceremonial cowl revealing his thick black and grey hair and he'd also shucked his voluminous overrobe. He was tending to the elder of the two ranjen monks who was still woozy from the shock of the phaser blast. Fellin stood nearby with his arms crossed. A little while ago, the first to rise from from unconciousness had tried the door, found it locked, and by the time most of them had come to, they could put the pieces together - they'd been summarily neutralized following the scuffle. The vedek had led them in a little prayer and a great deal of irate commentary, anti-Federation talk familiar to those who'd known him years ago. When the captain entered sometime later, Dima rose and smoothed his robes. He urged the monks go hurry along, having already asked them to immediately see to the other Bajoran faithful who would no doubt be worried. Fellin hung back, allowing the vedek the privilage of his stature to speak with the captain. "What can I say, Captain? The Federation failed in their promise yet again, allowing the Cardassians to impose their occupying compulsions on our sacred days. Why is it that Bajor must always endure this?" Fellin shifted uncomfortably behind the vedek. He could not disagree; it was impossible for this not to feel personal as if Judy had personally fired the phasers. "Clear out any remaining Cardassians from the planet," the vedek ordered. "Or expect further disruptions." Jovireh Velal, Judith Eastman

[Lt. Paawin Riyo - Kerelia - Colony Gym Locker Room]Riyo had woken up in far more pain than he had been in for a very long time. A migraine filled his skull, a throbbing in the center of his back that only got worse when he moved, cheekbone and jaw bruised and swollen, and his right hand... Well, the fact that he was incapable of flexing his fingers told him he really didn't want to look at it. The memory of how he had gotten in such a shape came through the grogginess, and he groaned. He was going to be in a lot of trouble, with both the Captain and Leanna. And he had no idea how he would even start explaining his actions to either of them. Hearing a familiar voice not far from him, Riyo opened his eyes and cringed against the bright light above him. With another groan - this time of pain - he slowly forced himself into a sitting position, realizing for the first time he'd been laying on a bench next to a row of lockers. Whether or not it was better than the floor remained to be seen. Turning towards the speaker, he swallowed when he saw the Captain, guilt and shame flooding through him. Did he look as bad as he felt? No charges were being pressed... That meant he hadn't killed the guard. Good. He wasn't sure he'd be able to handle a third man's blood on his hands, Cardassian or not. When the Captain declared he'd be going to the infirmary and assisting any who needed help, he nodded weakly. Hopefully Rif was still there to patch up his hand first... Though she was addressing everyone in the room, he knew he was the only Starfleet officer present. Sure enough, he heard the Vedek reply with accusations and demands, without actually answering the question. So with a deep breath, he finally spoke, his voice hoarse and cracking. "The Gul was trying to investigate the murder, without listening to anyone who said Starfleet was already handling it. Vedek Dima told him to leave, as he was unnecessarily interrupting the ceremony. The argument got pretty heated pretty fast. Fellin and I tried to diffuse it, but neither were listening. When it got physical, I tried to break them up... But one of the Gul's guards grabbed me." He pause, gaze dropping to the floor in obvious shame, his voice quieter as he continued. "I lost it."Prophets, what was he going to tell Lea?

A group of Starfleet security personnel came onto the plaza, perhaps a bit too excitable, and shot everyone who seemed to be engaged in the fight with a high stun setting. Due to a shortage of space, the combatants were placed in locker rooms - one for the Cardassians, and another for the non-Cardassians. [Charlie Fox - Plaza formerly known as Ha'mara, LZ-2]Charlie had witnessed (and recorded) the thick oafs who had traipsed in, phasers raised, shooting anyone within proximity of the epicenter of the brawl. They asked no questions, they just shot everyone. She'd been shocked at first, a little thankful that she'd moved off with Mabel once Olsen had tried to crack that Cardie's skull, but mostly shocked. And appalled. Usually when Starfleet did something like this without due process her default emotion was disgust. She'd stomped around making threats as the oafs relocated the stunned, unconscious bodies elsewhere. It wasn't until they'd threatened her themselves with the same treatment as the others that she quieted. She decided to get revenge instead. Charlie walked - well, marched would be more accurate - to one of the pre-fabricated buildings that the engineers had been using. It was empty, whether that was because of the festivities or the investigation she did not know, nor care, all she needed was a space to work. She sat and spent the next several hours on a submission for Spil. It contained the footage of the brawl; from the point where the Cardassian, Gul Du Toollamé, had remarked on the Occupation, and it rolled onward, painting the visiting Cardies in the worst light possible, until the Fleet showed up and trumped everyone's bad behaviour. Then she brought up her personal mail and typed up a quick message for the young aspiring commentator from that morning. If ur interested, something for ur followers.
Charlie. With Olsen hovering at her shoulder, Charlie put her PADD away and emerged from the office and into the early evening sunshine. She took off toward the buildings that housed the official Fleet business, but slowed her pace when she overheard two colonists in the exchange of some gossip. "I heard one of 'em had a heart attack. Right there! Right after taking that maximum stun shot!""Naww, can't be, wasn't one of the Bajoran fighters a doctor? He'd fix that right up.""It was the doctor who had the heart attack!""Well that's unfortunate.""I swear, may Hyetera[fn]Goddess of Truth & Justice[/fn] herself strike me down! I saw it with my own eyes..."Charlie stared after the pair as they wandered off, distance softening their voices. Then she shook herself from her reverie, reached into a pocket in her jacket and fished out a commbadge. =/\= "Charlie Fox to Lieutenant Joshua Niles. Josh, I need to know where those Bajorans are being held. It's been hours. Have they even had medical attention? Do you know how many human rights are being violated right now?" She paused and frowned, trying to figure it out. "A lot, that's how many." =/\= Eastman was earning herself quite the reputation. If you asked Charlie, it was well-deserved.

[ LT Joshua Niles - Grandview Conference Room, Colony Ops Building, LZ-2, Kerelia ]Having the Captain leave after she had done her document searches was actually a relief for Niles. He had been seriously considering recusing himself from the investigation altogether, even at the risk of incurring more of the Old Lady's displeasure. For one thing, at this point he reckoned the one last way left to him to truly make things worse for himself would be to space her corgis. But, at least, he had time to familiarize himself with the material at hand before he would have a chance to interrogate this Ito Eka given that it had taken hours to be able to find a detail and a shuttle to go and fetch her where she had indeed been camping. Time he had also taken to scarf down some lunch, for he had realized it had been a good seven hours since his last meal, and that certainly could not have been helping his disposition much. However, just as he had received note that Ms. Ito had arrived, his commbadge chirped, and it was a rather displeased Charlie Fox at the other end of the line. Of course, he had been aware of the... resolution of the matter in the plaza but only peripherally. If anything, all he knew was that there had been a scuffle, and local security had put an end to it, as opposed to a detail from the Front Ear. =A= "Charlie, this is Josh. I haven't kept abreast of that particular situation, so I'm going to need a few moments here. I'll send you what I can in a moment."=A= And no sooner had he closed the link that Jenkins entered with their suspect in tow. "Have a seat and I'll be with you momentarily." When he spoke, his voice had changed from when he had been talking to the journalist, going from fairly convivial to low, little more than a whisper and had gone steel-cold in the process. This was a tactical problem, or so he was framing the issue in his mind; and his favoured means of warfare wasn't about burning rage; to turn mathematics and physics into combat assets, it was a matter of cool and calculated intellect. With this said, Niles quickly scanned the incident reports about the scuffle, and seeing where the non-Cardassian participants in the brawl were being kept until things could be sorted out, reports that were entirely too sketchy with regards to medical needs and measures to ensure confinement would be suitably humane to make him confident the reporter would approve of the conditions, he found he only had one real course of action in this regard and he typed up a quick note for her and sent it off. With this seen to, he brought up the page of notes he had taken about their current person of interest on his terminal, and he turned to face her, careful to keep his screen from her vision. "I am Lieutenant Niles, Starfleet Security. You are Ito Eka of Dakhur Province and you are here because you are a person of interest in the murder of a Cardassian, Doctor Murra. Actually, scratch that, you are the prime suspect in his murder. Granted, for someone with your complete lack of interest deciding to go camping today of all days is circumstantial, but your departure being so soon after the time of death makes it very compelling. But what isn't circumstantial at all is that there are logs indicating that you used Doctor Murra's log in credentials a number of times using a tricorder modified to spoof the biometric security. And that includes the very last time his credentials were used on the crane he was found hanging from right about the time of death. Oh, and we found that particular tricorder under a traffic cone and it's in evidence. Preliminary analysis indicates it was a Bajoran who handled it last; I'm willing to bet that when I have my forensics team compare the fingerprints and DNA residues left on it with yours, that you are going to be a match." Nile's voice was unyielding as he listed the evidence, and his eyes narrowed and shone with a cold light. This was a tactical problem. He had resources and he knew the battlespace and his opponent; to her, though, he expected he would be an entirely unknown quantity and until he spoke she could not have known what he knew... and he had deliberately kept some information out when he had started to present his evidence. Every scrap of knowledge he had about those unusual transactions, those were going to be what he would keep in reserve to hit her with if she was going to be resistant to his next move. "We know who Doctor Murra was and what he did. We also know that you are one of fifteen Bajorans with ties to Dakhur Province on world right now, sixteen if you count the visiting Vedek. Were you working alone, or were there others involved?"

[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Kerelia Colony] After having spent so much time with Shavan, Kova wasn't surprised that the man had said so much by saying so little. Yet, the bit that he had shared spoke volumes about how he had come to be here. It sounded as if a long time ago, he only had one right choice that he could make... and that was the choice that had brought him there. Kova didn't press for details... at least not yet. She could understand wanting to maintain some sense of self-identity... of privacy. Yet, he had also seemed to be holding onto the possibility for change. "And what exactly does something better look like?" Kova asked. If Shavan didn't want to speak about his past, perhaps he'd be willing to share a bit more about his future. "I get it," she said with a slight smirk, seeing how her own question had been turned back upon her. Of course, his response did stoke the Andorian's curiosity a bit more. "So, has there ever been anyone you trusted enough to truly open up to... about everything?"

[Crewman Ezra Mora & Rimi Mora - On the tour, Colony, LZ-2, Kerelia] & She had been just on the outskirts of town when the security officers had found her. Admittedly, she thought three was overkill to bring a teenager back to the Grandview. Though, it quickly became obvious that they were looking for someone else. By the time she had gotten escorted back, she could tell that the festival had been suspended. Whatever had gone down had been rowdy enough for Starfleet to actually shut things down. On the way to the Grandview, she saw no sign of that vedek, or a number of people that had been there before. Once she reached the Grandview, she'd been placed on a bench with explicit orders not to move. It was only a few moments before her father came out to check on her. Perhaps check on her wasn't accurate. Interrogate... irritate... lecture were all more accurate descriptors. The pair had got into a bit of a shouting match, where her father reminded her again about reckless behavior. Yet, how could her behavior be reckless for attending a festival that he'd brought her to originally. Eventually, they went back to their corners, each knowing a session with their therapist was on the horizon. Ezra had asked Rimi to continue to sit tight until he had finished up. He disappeared behind some door to do Starfleet-y things, leaving the teen to entertain herself. Rimi opened her comm-unit when she heard a chime saying that a message had been sent to her. "Charlie Fox?" she said reading the name aloud. Rimi couldn't imagine why she'd be sending her a message. Maybe that annoying security officer was going after her footage after all, and she had sent it to Rimi for safe keeping. Rimi opened the message and saw that she'd been right about the content, but wrong out the purpose. "For my followers." She then brought up file and watched. Her eyes widened as she saw all that had taken place... especiallya fter she'd left. Rimi checked her restrictions to see that they had expired. Her father must have thought they'd be back aboard the station by now. She lifted her comm-unit and set it to record and transmit the feed. "Hey everyone," she began. "Well, this festival went to shit in more ways than one. We started with a corpse and ended the day with a brawl... at least before the Fleet stepped in and leveled everyone with phasers. Just see for yourself." She then set the file to broadcast for her viewers to see... and watched as the number of views, the comments and the the number of shares continued to rise. She then opened her own messages and replied to the last one she'd received. To: Charlie Fox From: Rimi Mora Subject: RE: An unburdening

The hours that had passed by after Lea had left Riyo at the Plaza had sped up then slowed down again as if some higher power was messing with her emotions. Keeping the children occupied had been her priority, especially to ward off any awkward questions from Ari. However several games and snacks later, Lea had succeeded in distracting them, before Aven fell asleep and Ari settled down to watch one of her programmes.
" Mama, will Daddy Riyo be home soon?" Ari asked and not for the first time, since they had left him. " Yes sweetheart, he will" Lea reassured her, before going into the kitchen. It was more out of habit than necessity, not wanting Ari to pick up on her anger and worry, over the lack of communication and not knowing what was happening. If it wasn't for the children, she would of stayed but now it felt as though history was repeating itself.
Lea knew that she shouldn't think that way, because Riyo wasn't like.... Yet the old insecurities that she had banished, were hovering on the edges of her mind. Reminding her that they truly hadn't gone away and she really hoped, that Riyo had a very good reason for doing this to her. Reaching for the bottle of springwine and trying not to think, Lea poured a small glass and sat down. Unsure what to do next and hating herself for the negativity that she had let creep over her.

He pause, gaze dropping to the floor in obvious shame, his voice quieter as he continued. "I lost it."Prophets, what was he going to tell Lea? [Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams), PhD - Locker Room, "Jungle" Gym]Judy carefully refrained from rolling her eyes at the Vedek. He was so painfully full of himself, almost like a Cardassian. However, she had her own officer, offering a much more helpful, and shaken, perspective. "Thank you, Lieutenant; we'll speak later. Just get that hand taken care of, quickly," she acknowledged. Then, she focused back on the Vedek. "Gul Du Toollamé is nominally a diplomat, so I can't kick him off the planet, but I will see to it that he stays out of your way. Next time, it'll only be the Cardassians getting stunned - and they've been made aware of that."With a steely glare piercing through her bifocals, Judy clearly meant business. With this commitment, she was already risking a diplomatic incident. "Like it or not, the Federation is still pretending to be Cardassia's friend, and they ours."Far from the mystique of unchecked power, the captaincy was a middle-management office, still hemmed in by directives from above.

Were you working alone, or were there others involved?" [NPCs - PO2 Roland L. Jenkins & Ito Eka - Grandview Conference Room]Jenkins didn't have Judy's maternal disappointment instinct, but seeing Niles bend over backwards (at the expense of his duties) to accommodate Charlie Fox, he had an urge to roll his eyes. Word had made its way around the station, before the Caldonia Five disappeared, that Fox was using Niles for access, much in the way that good-looking girls had used Jenkins for homework answers in school. Of course, Sir Doug had even more ludicrous theories, but even the El-Aurian was sure to caveat them heavily. Once the interrogation began, however, it went devastatingly fast. Ito Eka was born to sing like a canary. "Yes, sir, I was involved, but I didn't do it. I hacked the systems and everything, but the actual killer was a man in black whose face I never saw. Well, I guess I moved the crane, but there's a bigger fish I can take you to, the one who funded and ordered the whole thing," she prattled off rapidly. "Gul Du Toollamé. Check my financials. He paid me 400,000 credits' worth in Cardassian currency. I used it to pay off my mother's medical debts, and my own finances, sir. I was desperate."She looked around nervously. "Am I going to rot in jail?"Jenkins texted Eastman the info, dutifully.

"Am I going to rot in jail?"Jenkins texted Eastman the info, dutifully. [ LT Joshua Niles - Grandview Conference Room, Colony Ops Building, LZ-2, Kerelia ]Well, that had been easy. Easier than he had expected, actually, for Ito Eka had wasted very little time spilling her guts right then and there and confessed to her hacking into Warp Age Designs' computers, which was a criminal offence to begin with on top of no doubt being in contravention of corporate rules, and to be an accomplice to murder. But, she was also quick to point towards an actual killer, who may or may not exist. A 'man in black' whose 'face she never saw' was, well, a little convenient a story but it was also worth looking into. But what came next, well, that was the information he had been keeping in reserve and as she spoke he tapped at his terminal to look at the payments, their sum, and finding their origins, and it took all of his efforts to keep his face blank. For she was telling the truth. The money had come from Gul du Toolame all right, enough to wipe out all of her debts, gambling or otherwise, plus an additional very generous payment in Cardassian currency. With a furious flurry of his fingers, Niles highlighted the most relevant, and incriminating information and forwarded it directly to the Captain's PADD. With a foreign diplomat now involved, this was the kind of thing that needed to be addressed in the immediate. And at a higher level than himself. If anything, he knew the Old Lady wouldn't be one to feed a subordinate to the wolves to save herself from a complicated situation, and he loved her for it. But this, this had to be handled by someone who had far more effective diplomatic judo than he possessed; especially when concepts like 'diplomatic immunity' could be bandied about. =A= "Captain, this is Lieutenant Niles, and you're not going to like this. The transactions to our suspect all come in some way, shape or form from Gul du Toolame. I've sent the relevant evidence to your PADD. She claims there is another party involved in the murder, I will advise when I know more."=A= The interruption in the interrogation, not even excusing himself to place that call, was part of what he considered his tactical approach. Of course, she was being cooperative, but he was not about to turn into her best buddy right now, now when he had received her coldly and with but a minimum of courtesy thus far; she would have to earn that, and for that he had to maintain his current approach. "Now, Miss Ito, I am not the prosecutor or the judge in this case so it is not up to me what charges are laid and what sentence may be passed. But what is in my power is to indicate you have been cooperating and that may carry some weight with the courts."He let that last sentence hang in the air for some time, just to let it sink in. This was going pretty well, and now that she had made it clear she was terrified of jail time, he had a further lever to try and get answers out of her. "Now, you will tell me about this 'man in black' of yours. You say you never saw his face, but you will still tell me everything you know about him. What was his build? Tell me about his voice, how it sounded. Tell me how you were put in contact with him. Was he familiar with the site and its operations? Tell me everything you know or noticed about him."Now, hopefully she would do just that, and not use the dreaded single word that would put an end to his interrogation for the time being (which was being dutifully recorded): lawyer.

"So, has there ever been anyone you trusted enough to truly open up to... about everything?"[ Shavan Th'zhaar - Kerelia Colony] Kova asked what something better would look like. “I don’t know yet,” he answered truthfully. Maybe it was because part of him was still figuring out how to fit in to this life. After all, the time they were talking about it may have felt like very long ago, but in a lot of ways it wasn’t. Oblivious to what was now going on in the Plaza, (or no longer going on) Shavan considered her other question. Was there someone he trusted with all of this? Clearly, he realized that he had grown more comfortable with Kova herself. There was also Jovireh…. and maybe, in time, the others who had been on Caldonia. But this was about the limit of how much he knew how to say. There was one person from before, who knew everything because he had been there during it. However, both “no, this is it” and trying to fully explain that relationship both seemed like… too many feelings for today. Shavan shrugged, in a more careless manner again. “I might have let a few things slip to my ex-boyfriend.” Marok was a little more than that, but that wasn't what he was here to talk about. He turned a crooked grin on Kova instead. “So you'll just have to seduce me if you want to know all my secrets.”

[Ens. Syl O'Connell - Kerelia Colony - Shore]She wasn't sure how much time had passed while they laid in the sand. Syl had explained the events that led up to her capture, and the difficulty she'd been having readjusting to life on the station since their escape, but she had avoided talking about exactly what happened in The Pit. It was simply still too raw. A cold breeze suddenly ruffled over them, and Syl lifted her head to see the tide creeping closer to their feet. They must have been down here for quite some time. "I should get back to the plaza before they get worried, " she decided aloud, pushing herself up and brushing the sand off her clothes. " Want to head back with me?" While she didn't doubt the Cardassian could protect herself, Syl didn't feel quite comfortable leaving her alone so far from the colony perimeter while there was still a killer on the loose.
