[ Leanna - Blue Beta, Promenade] " As tempting as that is, he's definitely a keeper" Leanna replied, not missing a beat in keeping up with Jov's continued teasing. She'd been in love and lost it so many times or that's what it felt like. However with Riyo it wasn't like that as he brought out the best in her, supported her and encouraged her ideas and dreams. Okay some of that had been put on hold, especially the album promotion but that was inconsequential right now. She had so much more to concentrate on at the moment and less stress was part of her promise to Riyo. Although that was about to be tested when an unfamiliar man entered the bar and made himself heard. " Yep.. I don't envy you at all if he starts.. then again I can blame it on hormones if he tries anything".Of course that was said in a hushed whisper as Lea speared another shrimp, pausing as the twins decided to do a somersault in her abdomen. ************ [ Seamus - Blue Beta, Promenade] Seamus had just finished stocking his latest ales when he heard the unknown male voice. Turning around to see the man rock up to the bar and quickly decided that he would be the one to serve him. " Welcome to the Blue Beta, here's the menu and I'd recommend the Blue Tiger Ale" Seamus said cheerily as he handed over the menu and placed a glass, followed by a colourful ale bottle in front of Ted.
Tag @jovirehvela Judith Eastman [CPO Jovireh Velal - Front Ear - Blue Beta]"Oh good! That's plenty of time to back out if you happen to fall in love with someone else!" she continued her teasing. Honestly, Jov admired Leanna. She'd been a single mother of two when they met, and was not only a wonderful parent but also the successful owner of a popular restaurant. And she always seemed to have herself together, knowing exactly what she wanted and not letting anything get in her way. After she met Riyo, all of those traits only intensified, and now she was carrying two more babies and still managed to be holding herself together... Jovireh was pulled from her thoughts by a loud voice passing by, and she glanced over to see the man sitting near the bar. "And it begins..." Thankfully this man didn't seem to be interested in causing trouble, though his presence meant the Soteria had docked and her crew was on shore leave. It was only a matter of time before someone got rowdy. "Thanks, amigo."He was aware of the two women's reaction to his presence, and truth be told, it wounded him. "Hey, ladies, it's okay. Not all Nybberites are the same," he asserted nosily.
Tag Jovireh Velal , Leanna Mazal [CPO Jovireh Velal - Front Ear - Blue Beta]"Lots of men are keepers. That's why I like keeping several of them." She replied just as playfully. A server brought her meal of chicken, vegetables and uttaberry juice over, and she thanked them with a smile before starting to eat. But she had only taken a couple bites before the voice called out from the bar, and Jov resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "Of course not," she replied as she looked over her shoulder at him. "But your appearance signals the arrival of more." And honestly, he wasn't doing a very good job of convincing her that he wasn't like the others. Why couldn't he just enjoy his beer quietly? Jov deliberately turned back to her food, hoping he would get the hint and not continue trying to talk to her.

{Spoiler}{Quoted Posts} [ NPC - Cpl Bolton Ramius - Promenade, Front Ear Station ]"Ah, Rimi," Bolton repeated, holding that earlier smile of his. "A pretty name all right." For a pretty little thing, he did not add, thought. She was either very young, or very naive all right, but he wasn't about to complain about either. "And I'm Bolton," he finally answered. Like hell he was about to give his last name, and in fact he'd been tempted to give an alias, just in case. But somehow he didn't have the impression she'd be much of a risk to him in that regard. Before long, they were just outside what looked like a seedier establishment, just the sort that Ramius would prefer, and there was another question to answer. "No idea. I'm just ashore because I happen to be off-watch and didn't feel like getting rack time right off the bat." [Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Primary Sickbay]As the counselor stepped forward and addressed the Commodore, Riyo nodded to let her know that her questions wouldn't interfere with the scans. Isaiah sent the security teams outside - which was a relief - and asked about using his office, to which the doctor nodded and gestured to the adjoining room. "Of course, make yourselves at home." He certainly wasn't going to be in there any time soon. Turning to face Dr. Bel once more, he gave a gracious smile at the offer to answer questions about the treatment he'd provided to Perry. "I do have a few questions for you. Can you tell me approximately when he was found, and what state he was in at that time? Was he conscious, in a coma, in stasis?" His initial tricorder readings looked good, but he would need to know just how long he had received treatment by the Alliance as well as comparing to his old medical records before he could start getting a clearer picture of the man's condition, then and now. [Lt. Commander Isaiah Quinn - Sickbay, Front Ear Station ] With the doctor's consent, Isaiah led the way to Riyo's office with the towering Brikar, Captain Jogann in his wake. As they made it to Riyo's office, Isaiah made an attempt at hospitality. In effect, he was simply stalling and giving both Riyo and Yvonna a chance to work. Yet, he needed to get back in there with Perry so that he could determine what the man could recall. "Can I offer you any refreshments, Captain?" Isaiah asked. In addition, there was still the matter of Perry's custody. It wasn't as if they were planning to refuse to receive the man. "May I see the documentation?" Isaiah asked. A PADD was surrendered to him, and he quickly began to read through out. There were several bits that were redacted and seemed to hold some critical information. "I don't understand. The order is asking for my consent, but a great deal of it is redacted. Surely, you don't expect me to sign this." Isaiah waited for some sort of an explanation before he proceeded any further.
[NPC - Lieutenant (j.g.) Yvonna Teller-Wright - Sickbay, Front Ear Station ] Yvonna smiled at Commodore Perry as he agreed to attempt to answer her questions. However, he did seem rather preoccupied with his memory, or rather his recollection of the events. "That's okay, sir. Whatever you can recall will undoubtedly be helpful." She knew this was probably rather frustrating for him, so she desired to tread lightly as to not agitate the situation too much. "What's the last thing you remember before coming aboard the Soteria?" It sounded like it was as good as any place to start. Perry's response would definitely help her realize where she needed to focus her attention to help him.
[NPC - Rimi Mora - Spotty Alibi, Promenade, Front Ear Station ] Bolton, as he was called, had told Rimi that she had a pretty name. It was rather charming of him, and thus far he seemed to be checking all the gentlemanly boxes. There was a part of Rimi that wished Candy was there so that she could shower Rimi with praise for putting her winning formula to use. As they got inside, Rimi's eyes scanned the room. She was quickly reminded why she never came to the Spotty Alibi... especially alone. Though, she was hardly today. Here, she had Bolton with her. "So, this is it," Rimi said, hoping a little extra charm in her voice would help to sell the place. "Admittedly it's not high end, but it's the holes in the wall that have the most character, right?" About that time, a glass broke at the other end of the bar. A pair Orions began to shove one another before the bartender carried them another round. Her mind seemed to turn over the response to he query about not knowing when his ship would leave. "Wow, that busy, huh? I guess it's possible you could be leaving sooner rather than later. Such a shame."

[ Seamus - Blue Beta, Promenade] So his instincts regarding the man with the slightly cocky attitude was right as his latest customer passed comment about the ale, before thanking him. " No problem, enjoy the ride" Seamus replied, hoping he wouldn't have to pick him off the floor later. Nybbie or not, when it came to the Blue Tiger, you had to give it some respect, especially with how strong it was. Now it would become a test as to whether he could hold his alcohol as the Nybbie then assured Lea and Jov that not all of them were the same. Ducking away to deal with the ice machine, trying not to grin upon hearing Jov's response. He admired the Chief's attitude and hopefully there wouldn't be too much trouble from their visitors. ************* [ Leanna - Blue Beta, Promenade] " I'll have to remember that" Lea retorted with a grin, before Jov's meal arrived. Returning her attention to her own food, now that the twins had stopped using her insides as a punchbag. Lea ate a couple more shrimp, enjoying it immensely until Mr Loud tried to engage them again. His reassurance that not all Nybbie's were the same, might be true for him but she wasn't about to cast judgement. Jov's response and Seamus's well timed exit to deal with the ice machine had Lea reaching for her drink. Taking a sip and averting a choking episode, the Betazoid then spoke to the newcomer. " That's good to know and you're drink is on the house".She hadn't gotten this far without knowing how to deal with these types and the incentive of a free drink, tended to work. Now it was up to him and hopefully wouldn't prove them wrong.

[Petty Officer Conor Lynch - Promenade]"...Priest?" He greeted in return, the word a question as he came to a stop in front of the robed and masked figure. This was either a holy person or one of those masked sex pests who went to functions at What Lies Beneath. Lynch tried to step around her, but there was something in him that wouldn't let him just ignore a person and walk on by, even if they were trying to sell him something. Even if the mask was low-key freaking him out some. "Tha' a party or the end o' the world?" Perhaps it was both. If he was facing the end of the world he was pretty sure he'd throw a party. Avi cocked her head, the white mask taking on an eerie angle, as if it was floating under the dark hood. "That'll be up to you." With that, Avi who was as strong as her occupation as a mechanic required, took the Nyberrite officer by the side of the neck with her fingers pinching at the base of the human's skull. Then she gave him a firm push back away from the Promenade and towards a side corridor. She moved with deliberation, aiming to keep her new friend off-balance so that he'd no choice but to follow. Avi had no way of knowing that she had something important in common with Connor Lynch - that they were both no longer in Nyberrite Alliance employ. Charlie Fox (Lynch)

[Ensign Aleiana Kniffin - Primary Sickbay - Frontier Station]
Ana looked up as her senior officer seemed to be heading to her. She smiled, almost apologetically, but caught herself. She turned it into a polite smile with the appropriate defference. "Sir" she offered as he addressed her.
"Yes Sir" she answered when he assumed her name. Then nodded once when he bid her take a scan of the Commodore! She shuddered internally. Captains made the worst patients, she could only imagine what kind of a patient a commodore would make, though the feeling in the room seemed anything but routine. The outside team of beings. The senior officers. The almost palpable tension and worry. She took a breath and headed towards the biobed, making sure to not block the Commodore from anyone that was currently engaged with him, nor to interrupt.
She waited for her moment and then looked to the man on the bed, giving him a professional head not.
"Pleasure to meet you Commodore Perry" she offered with a smile."I am Ensign Kniffin. Dr Kniffin. May I ask you to lie back so I might conduct a scan?" she asked politely, hands clasped behind her back, poised so that if he complied she would be able to start the scan promptly. She was of course listening to the conversations that were going on around her. The questions, the reports etc. She gathered that the Commodore had been "found" and that he'd had some memory lapses. For now she would concentrate on the task she had been given. It was too early to try and unravel a mystery. She had barely been on the station for more that 3 hours. She would not overstep her mark this early on!

When she pushed him backward he was very much off-balance, and stumbled into the edge of the flower shop display nearby. "Jaysis, woman! Calm down will ya! I've no interest in whatever freaky shite ya have goin' on..."He stumbled again as he tried to right himself, but never once thought to call out or to reach for his communicator. {Quoted Posts} [LCDR Tony Sleebaggo & LTJG Chloe Hudson - CO's Office]"Colonel, we all want the same thing don't we?" Sleebaggo said politely as the Colonel seemed reticent to share important information. "I understand that certain former officers have manufactured an uncomfortable relationship between our two organisations, but I hope to change that. We are on the same side. No need for hostility," the mess Harmon had created seemed to unfortunately be likely to take more effort to clean up than Sleebaggo had hoped. "We need not know why you were in that area, or what interests you have in the region. We simply need some coordinates for our own investigations and records." To Chloe, it was painfully obvious that Vasser was up to something, and certainly hiding something. The young officer was also surprised by Vasser. She must have known that the question of where the escape pod was found would be the first thing asked and the most basic of questions to be fielded. On the face of it, it was an entirely reasonable question regardless of their relationship. Even the Romulans would probably have shared that information. So if it was being hidden then it was a clear sign the Alliance was up to something, involved in some way. She looked towards the Captain, trying to gauge how she was reacting. She would have spoken, but in the crowded room with the Captain and Taggert it wasn't necessary and likely she'd just get into trouble with Sleebaggo.
[ LT Joshua Niles - Ops, Front Ear Station ]{Spoiler}With the Captain going to make coffee and leaving things in Taggert and Sleebaggo's hands, things were most definitely a little stilted all right. Indeed, Taggert was starting to ask some truly easy, basic questions that the Nyberrites could not answer. Of course, Sleebaggo had nothing constructive to work with in that regard, and Hudson was fighting her instincts to speak up. Which meant, from where he was standing, that Niles was seeing that this was going nowhere.
But with Sleebaggo at the table, he would doubt if anything he was to say was going to come out in its entirety without getting interrupted, or berated for having the nerve to say something the senior Intelligence officer hadn't thought of himself. Which meant that he might need to use someone else as a mouthpiece... Which meant he would have to communicate with Taggert, let him be the one to speak. Especially since he was starting to think of some particular ways to try and go around the cageyness, if not downright obfuscation, by the Nyberrites. So, Niles reached for a PADD and quickly he tapped out a message, and he slid it towards his superior. "Sir," he simply said as he handed it over. Sir, if we can have the name for the ship that found Cmdre, I can probably backtrack her to where they found him. For, one thing one Joshua Niles had learned to do, and proved he could do, was to exploit data from communications relays and navigation beacons, and with a ship's name, he would have somewhere to start. [Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams), PhD - Captain Eastman's Office]Even as she ground the coffee, cranking the grinder by hand, Judy remained fully aware of the conversation going on around her conference table. For the moment, though she resented Sleebaggo's tuchus-leckery to the Nybbies, she knew Pierce would get the situation under control, and Niles would do... something. Either way, the coffee was coming along quite well. [Lt. Cmdr. Pierce Taggert - Front Ear - CO's Office]Well, that was fishy alright. Refusal to tell them where their own missing person had been found? From what he'd heard about the incident that lead up to the Commodore being on the Lusitania in the first place, hearing that response was like being draped in a quilt made of red flags. But the Commander kept his expression neutral, nodding in agreement as Tony explained they didn't have any interest in what the Alliance in whatever area the pod was located. When Josh slid a PADD over to him, he glanced down at it and briefly read the message before nodding a simply acknowledgement. While it was possible to do... the odds of them giving the ship name when they wouldn't give the coordinates were slim to none. He lifted his gaze back to the Colonel before he continued. "Commander Sleebaggo is correct. We have no interest in Alliance activities and have no intention of interfering with operations in that area. But Commodore Perry wasn't the only person on that ship. There are hundreds of men and women that are still missing, and thousands of friends and family worried about their loved ones. Comparing the location of the escape pod with the intended flight path of the Lusitania, and where we lost contact with them, is our best chance at finding out what happened and possibly rescuing the rest of the crew." Settling back in his chair, he rubbed a hand over the stubble on his chin, regarding the woman across from him as he waited for a response. "We will accept that data, though," he added, his gaze shifting briefly to the Romulan with her. "It's worth taking a look at, at least." Col. Helena Vasser | Maj. Chromar | Alpha Sgt. Gorsk | Dr. Bel | Capt. Rez Jogann | 2nd Lt. Neema | | | | | | |
[Sickbay, Frontier Station ] Captain Jogann followed the Acting-first officer into Dr. Paawin's office. As he navigated his way through the door, he sighed annoyed by how small humans made their doorways. After a brief conference with Quinn, he handed the science officer the paperwork to conclude the receipt of Commodore Perry. However, instead of signing, it seemed the science officer was more precluded by the redacted report that was included. "Access to that information is only granted after confirmed receipt," Jogann answered. "It is Nyberrite policy. The signature is the final affirmation of the contract, and allows you to be privy to the information pertaining to Commodore Perry." His gravely voice seemed to seemed to vibrate throughout the room as if his words were known fact. A long, low sigh left his lips as the human attempted to process his words. "Will you sign, Commander?"Meanwhile, in Sickbay proper, the young doctor began to conduct her scans on Commodore Perry while the counselor began assessing his mental faculties. Dr. Bel found himself fielding questions from Dr. Paawin. He considered the question, but observed policy just the same. There was a convenient loophole where medical treatment was concerned, so he could share a bit of what he knew with the doctor. "From my recollection, he was not initially conscious," the doctor responded. The translator conveyed his words from his native Breen tongue. "Hypotension was a major concern, but it was believed to be tied to a deficiency of nutrients and dehydration. His last panel of numbers are improved, but only marginally so."The Breen doctor concluded that that was a satisfactory amount of information to share by way of the physician's clause. Hopefully, the official documents would be signed and the Bajoran doctor would have the access to Perry's records to adequately treat him and relieve Bel of his duties to the human.
[CO's Office, Front Ear Station ] Vasser casually watched as Judy tended to the coffee. Apparently, the captain was content to allow her subordinates to see to the matter. Perhaps she was gauging their ability to conduct business of this nature. Perhaps this was a good officer/bad officer routine, and she was due to come to Vasser's rescue shortly or step in to bite her head off. Whatever the reason, Vasser was confident that she'd soon find out. She also observed Lieutenant Niles find something a bit more preoccupying than this discussion while Lt. Commanders Sleebaggo and Taggert each attempted to persuade Vasser to be more forthcoming. "Gentlemen," Vasser began, "You seem to be under the impression that I'm simply not sharing pertinent information. I can assure you, that is not the case." There was then an interruption that caught Vasser's attention as she looked to the source. Lt. Neema excused herself and stepped away from the table to see to the communique. "Neema here. Go ahead," she said raising her hand to speak into the communicator. Vasser drew attention back to herself as she spoke up. "I sympathize with your position," Vasser said. "And I can assure you, the Nyberrite Alliance was thorough in their search. If was anything more of relevance that we could share, we would do so. If we had come across other pods, be it with survivors or remains, we would have brought that to turn over to you as well."The blond Lieutenant stepped back towards the table, but not to take her seat. "Excuse me, Colonel," she said interrupting. She then leaned over to whisper something in Vasser's ear. The Nyberrite colonel nodded and then gestured for Neema to return to her seat. "I do apologize, but before we can continue, I think it's imperative that you contact your, Mr. Quinn."Chromar rolled his eyes at Vasser's words. It wasn't, but that wasn't his fault. The little Bolian had conceded quite a bit of ground to the strange human, and it had always served Mott well to keep something back, even something so simple as a first name. Adults were always ordering kids around, so Mott wasn't surprised when this Matt person wasn't done. That, and people on this station seemed obsessed with supervising him. It was irritating, but there wasn't a lot Mott could do about it - he had to stay in at least a few good graces. And so, Mott complied. "Fine," he said with a sigh. Then he hopped down from the workbench and grabbed his jacket and backpack. Then the questions started up as he shut off the lights and locked the door. "How come you were away from the station? Were you hiding or something? Do you have a mate? Were you looking for a mate? How big is your family? Bet mine's bigger. Have you ever been in jail? I have, back in Celladore. I stole fruit. [Petty Officer Conor Lynch - Promenade]"Ow! Hey!" His hand reached up in attempt to slap away her assault on the base of his skull. His shoulders raised of their own accord; a reflex to the nerve pinch. When she pushed him backward he was very much off-balance, and stumbled into the edge of the flower shop display nearby. "Jaysis, woman! Calm down will ya! I've no interest in whatever freaky shite ya have goin' on..." He stumbled again as he tried to right himself, but never once thought to call out or to reach for his communicator. He was, after all, well capable of handling a holy sex priest in the middle of a public thoroughfare. [ Avi Moz | Exiting the Promenade towards cargo storage ]"Shut up." Jab. Avi twisted something pointed and sizzing hot into Lynch's side, then hauled him into an alcove in a side corridor away from concerned citizens. With Lynch pressed into the corner, Avi (still masked like a monk), kept hold of this side of his head and displayed her little tool. The active hot tip of an oxide awl crackled too close to his face. "Get it?" Satisfied her messages of cooperate-or-pain had been delivered, Avi keyed in the code for the mechanical hatch and urged old Connor Lynch inside. It had been awhile since Avi had dragged someone off to address grievances, but she was confident she still had the knack. Felicity Ellis (Lynch)

[LCDR Tony Sleebaggo & LTJG Chloe Hudson - CO's Office]
The sciolist lieutenant seemed to think himself so clever passing a PADD to Taggart. It's not like it was a painfully obvious move that everyone could see through. He might as well have just leaned in and whispered in Taggart's ear. The young man was far less smooth than he thought he was. Sleebaggo was once again not at all impressed by the young man, though he was curious what he'd suggested. Unfortunately, Vasser was insistent
Chloe was disappointed that the Captain still declined to jump in, and so she shifted her case back at the Alliance's soldiers of fortune. However, as Vasser's sophistry became too much for the young officer to bear, she decided to speak up. "With all due respect," which was none, "You aren't sharing pertinent information. You know that, we know that, so there's no need for the charade and faux sympathy," she stared icily at Vasser, wishing that Matthew was there.
Sleebaggo's face went red with frustration, he was torn between more annoyed at the presumptions of his naive subordinate, or the reticence of the Colonel to provide anything beyond empty platitudes. After a moment of reflection he decided the former was worse. "What is Lieutenant Commander Quinn required for?" he asked trying to move on from Ensign Hudson's outburst.

"I guess I'll just have to come up with a name for you," Matt shrugged when it became clear the kid wouldn't give up his name. "I'm going to call you...hmm...Frederick. Fred,," he said. At least 'Fred' decided to have the good sense to follow without much of a fight. As they headed onto the promenade and started looking for Avi the inevitable stream of questions from a curious child began. "I don't have a mate, no," he said with a hint of sadness about what was not to be, "You're probably right, my family isn't too large," he continued answering, "Are you good at stealing things?" he asked back, his mind briefly contemplating if 'Fred' would perhaps come in handy one day. "I've been in jail," he nodded, "Yeah...that's part of why I was away for a while, good guess." He seemed like a smart kid. Maybe too smart for his own good. "Now, do you know which direction your mum went? Or where she might be going?" he asked as thy stood in the busy promenade. .

[ LT Joshua Niles - Ops, Front Ear Station ]{Quoted Posts} [Lt. "It's worth taking a look at, at least."

Tag: Jovireh Velal , Judith Eastman , Joshua Niles , Isaiah Quinn How the hell had Sleebaggo made it to his current rank? That was the sort of mystery that Niles would very much have liked to get into at some point, but was also somewhat afraid of considering in the first place. All he had done thus far had been trying to brown-nose his way with the Nyberrites so deep that he was probably just a few centimeters short of smelling their eyeballs. Commander Taggert, on the other hand, was most certainly a far steadier presence, and he clearly was going to be the voice of reason with this current not-interrogation. But Hudson, well, she had said what he would have loved to say himself but had been firmly restraining from doing so thus far. The last thing he needed was for the Captain to see him as insubordinate, or to decide that he was not doing things just how she would have done them to come down upon him like the wrath of a bespectacled angry goddess. Now, the matter of Commander Quinn being further pursued by Sleebaggo seemed like a desperate attempt to push past the fact that his right hand was actually more interested in getting to the crux of the matter than he was, and decidedly less interested in future abilities to schmooze or advance herself in with them in the future. Now, Niles certainly would like to pose a few questions of his own, but given the thin ice he was on and the deep water beneath it he had to deal with, he did have to tread carefully. "Commander Taggert, if I may ask the Colonel and her party a few questions of my own?"Now, he could only hope that his superior would trust him, and that he would be allowed to speak without what passed for an intelligence officer going off on him... not that it wouldn't be interesting watching Sleebaggo making an arse of himself again.
