[ Old!Zakir - Bridge - USS Mac]After receiving the notification from Stellar Cartography, Zakir acknowledged and quickly zoomed in on the grid in question. The last thing they needed was to run into something, after all these years of planning! =/\=[fontcolor=lightyellowgoldenrod]"Alright, looks like an old freighter, seems derelict and no signs of life. Best I can tell you at this range. Would be wise to plot a course around and keep an eye out for an debris. I'll keep an eye on it from my side too"[/font]=/\=, he responded. Around him, everything seemed to be falling into place, and while he did just as he had promised, he completed the modifications that would be needed for the shields. All he needed now was the go ahead to press the big red button, as it were. "Calculations completed, standing by", he confirmed as Linus returned to the younger Mac's bridge the bridge, waiting to see if further news from engineering would cause him to need an last minute alterations.
[ Rin Aya - Stellar Cartography USS Mac] =/\= "Got it thanks, we'll keep a look out for anything else. Aya out"=/\=, the bajoran woman confirmed her father's words, casting a quick glance behind her to make sure Nork had gotten that, before beginning the necessary adjustments. She would also keep a close eye on the surrounding grids, though smaller pieces of debris would be much more difficult to see.
[ Lt.JG Rin Zakir - Scapegoat Lounge - USS Mac] Fair enough, he though as Cerjess got to work. If he was anywhere near as weirded out as he was to meet his older self, then he knew that it would probably be good for him to take his mind off it and focus on something else. Whatever plan was being hatched, he hoped that it worked, as he really didn't fancy being stuck here for fifty seven years himself. How was other him even still sane? How were any of them? These thoughts were driven from him as the osteo regenerator got to work, and he gritted his teeth as he felt it working. He would be in a sling for while, but at least the actual break would be knitted back together and could heal. That is, if he was careful, but then that really wasn't an option right now. He really felt that he would be needed back on the bridge, especially seeing as he imagined that the other Mac crew would be heading back soon. "Oh Prophets, that hurts!", he grumbled, though compared to most it seemed as if he had gotten off pretty lightly!

[ Shavan Th’zhaar - Bridge, USS Mac] Shavan nodded to Captain Ellis, and a moment later received the update from Stellar Cartography. Anaya’s report about the shears fit with his own calculations. =/\= Acknowledged, compensating for the course correction and sending updated data. =/\= He gave a quick reply while continuing to work, factoring the course corrections into his study of the ellipse. The derelict freighter appeared on the sensor feed on his screen as well, but overall, the preparations were progressing. The implications of the other Mac leaving the ellipse with them began to cross his mind. The time was getting nearer to part ways with their strange saviors… at least momentarily. [Cerjess Miren - USS Mac - Scapegoat Lounge]The older Cerjess stared at the young Andorian woman in front of him. He never knew her at this age. Not really. They had been stuck for quite some time before they'd said anything more than brief acknowledgements to each other. That meant he didn't know how to get through to her. Gritting his teeth, he sighed in defeat. At least he tried, but he couldn't help but feel like he was letting his daughter down. "She can, but when she realized Chel-E was still in your mobile device she decided it was better to ask." A small fib, but they wouldn't be on this ship long enough for it to matter. "And it wasn't like we knew how she would look before she was born." Zyri's unique hybrid appearance never bothered him. In fact, he always believed she would grow up to be quite stunning. But it was clear this Kova didn't agree. Hearing his daughter's name being called from behind him, he turned to see her passed out and the young Gates tending to her. Futile conversation abandoned, he rushed to kneel at her side. "She was born with underdeveloped lungs," he explained to the medic, reaching into the girl's pocket for her mask. "Stress makes it difficult for her to get enough oxygen." After carefully fitting the mask in place, he reached down to take her hand. [Petty Officer Kellen Gates - Scapegoat Lounge]Once an adult arrived to take responsibility for the girl and imparted her medical history, Gates' shoulders relaxed just a little. His scans were indeed showing diminished O2 levels, and so he placed his tricorder down for a moment, and pulled out another hypospray from his kit. His fingers pause briefly, splayed and waving slightly as he waited for his eyes to catch up and choose which vial was to be loaded into the device. "I'm giving her Tri-ox," he announced as he waited patiently for Zyri's father to put her mask in place. With her history, he had no doubt that the man would be familiar with the compound and its uses. Once the area was clear, he leaned in to administer the shot into the girl's neck. At the sound of the hiss, he pulled back and once again picked up his medical scanner to gage her reaction to the medicine. Her blood was indeed showing small signs of re-oxygenation, but none of the other readings were returning to normal parameters. "Her vitals are high." He looked up at the older version of the unusual science officer he'd met before, and spoke frankly with him. "I would not advise moving her until she stabilises."

[ Old!Maddox - Engineering - Prime!Mac] Maddox mostly ignored Nork because he ignored everyone, he tended to have either a hyper focus or no focus at all and over the years he’d learnt how to make sure the hyper focused occurred when it mattered the most like now when both Mac’s needed them to be focused. Maddox was sure Linus would want them working quickly, the had much to be done but with the hands they had he was convinced it would work out. Nork may have been skilled, but leadership took something more than simply head knowledge and while the Vulcan had done a good job to get the engineering teams working, they needed more than that and hope was a powerful motivator. Maddox was trying to keep upbeat, although the situation was tense and a lot weighed on getting this right, he was the ‘if you didn’t laugh, you’d cry’ type of person and so stuck to that even through the worst of things. However jovial he was, it was time to work and when it came down to it, he wasn’t going to waste time. Maddox was already deciding who would do what when his Kaya started explaining the situation. Everyone seemed clear on what had to be done and Maddox noted the expressions on each of their faces, some still recovering from the shock of Kaya being there in front of them…just much older. ” This whole thing is wacky but it’ll make an interesting story for your kids now lets not get hung up on Kaya’s age. We’re racing against time.” The man said to Fournier, feeling the need to speed this along. Maddox hadn’t ever been patient, rather choosing to do things himself than wait for others but that simply wasn’t an option so hurrying them along was what he had to do. "So in layman’s terms, work together and work fast we’re on the clock.” Maddox figured he should interject with his lesser detailed version of Kaya’s words. He had enough faith that the people down here knew exactly what needed to be done to accommodate the extra power that would flood the core. ” To work gremlins!” Maddox said with a wave of his hand, as people paired off to work on their tasks. Maddox lingered behind a moment with Kaya and looked at the Vulcan, ” Nice work keeping things going down here Nork.” There was no mocking in his tone, just gratitude for the man. Nork keeping things at least partially functional down here would save them time. His younger self hadn’t ever thanked the man but after 57 years in the ellipse he’d come to realise everyone deserved and needed recognition. Even the Vulcans. We should isolate any systems that can't take that kind of power. We do not want to blow something up and have the whole thing go on the fritz" Maddox said as Nork moved to a console power could be a funny thing like that especially since this Mac hadn't had the same adjustments that had been made to their Mac. TO: Ensign Nork FROM: TA#2866, Stellar Cartography SUBJECT: An important warning from the future
Ensign Nork,
This is an important warning from the future, delivered by me, your older and therefore more experienced and wiser self. You must heed this gift of information that I have to impart to you.
Your presence is required in Engineering, as mine is in Stellar Cartography, but we will have a window for discourse. I am sending you a location. Be there in 1322 seconds.
Tulek tu. [Prime!Nork - Main Engineering, USS Mac]Nork did not know what to make of Kaya Som's assistant's praise. Yes, he was aware that he had skills. Many had pointed this out on many an occasion. "Yes," was all the Vulcan said in response to the human's order, and then continued doing what he had originally intended. There were plenty of other engineers present that could do that aspect of the work, but Nork was a talented programmer, and that was where he should delegate himself. He worked at immense speed, and he was just putting the finishing touches on an algorithm that could be implemented across systems and prime them to divert or sleep when power fluctuations reached a certain, set level of instability, when his personal communications device produced a muted sound. Nork did not have very many people looking to contact him personally, and none within the ellipse. He stepped back from his console and stiffly walked the short distance to the bulkhead where he had left it. The contents of the message were peculiar. He stood perfectly still for at least a dozen seconds, considering, and then composed a response.
Then he put the PADD down, and returned to his program. Mere minutes later, he took a step back once more, and announced his accomplishments to all. "My algorithm is ready. My presence is now required elsewhere." He looked around, searching for a sign of the decrepit Kaya Som. Seeing none, he turned instead to her decrepit human assistant. "Farewell."There was a slight incline of the head, then Nork was gone.

[ Anaya - Stellar Cartography] Why did this feel so strange yet completely normal?, perhaps it was just their simulations finally being brought to life or the added pressure to get it done otherwise they'd be stuck here forever. Whatever was making her feel this way, was a distraction that Anaya didn't need right now, as she heard Aya contact her Father regarding the object that they had been alerted too. Complications were to be expected or at least taken into consideration, but for the hybrid, it was if her very life depended on it. The stress, the hope, the restless nights could very well be a thing of the past pardon the pun if she just held on and remembered why she was here. The shears were so far acting as they usually did, showing no obvious sign of becoming problematic. Giving Anaya a sliver of genuine relief, especially as Nork informed them that they had reached 52% completion. If things continued along this trajectory then it wouldn't be long until they could leave for their Mac, not wanting to think about having to say goodbye, because they shouldn't need too. That's until the very issue that she didn't want to happen, happened as the console underneath her fingertips, alerted her to the problem. " Dammit ..." she began as she activated a channel to Science on the Bridge, knowing that Nork and Aya would also be able to hear. =/\= Anaya to Science, sensors have detected several strong shears, attempting to compensate but we'll need to adjust our route by 12.4 km =/\=Refraining from cursing further, Anaya awaited their reply as she worked to give them a better chance. [Old!Nork - Stellar Cartography, USS Mac]His two assistants conferenced and compensated for the issues as they cropped up. "You have both performed your duties with speed and efficiency," Nork told them both. From him, it was positively effusive praise. Then he took it even further. "We approach completion. I will leave the honour of announcing readiness to you." With a final tap-tap-tap to his mapping program, he stepped back from the middle console in Stellar Cartography. "My presence is now required elsewhere."Farewell. "Live long and prosper."

[ Anaya - Stellar Cartography] Cursing muted for now as Aya received a response from her Father and Science acknowledged the sudden change in shear strength. The hybrid, did breath a little easier as they worked in unison in order to compensate for the unexpected change. Receiving the updated data within seconds and began to correlate it with what she was also finding. =/\= Got it, thank you =/\= she responded, before her and Aya received praise from Nork. Well what passed as praise from the Vulcan and something that Anaya would happily accept. Smiling despite the pressures of the situation as the Vulcan then revealed that he would leave the honour of announcing their readiness to her and Aya. Anaya hadn't expected that until the reason for doing so became clearer when he then revealed that he was needed elsewhere. " Understood ... live long and prosper Nork" she replied, then turned her attention back to her console. Knowing that they wouldn't be here for much longer and observing the readouts. Anaya was then able to inform the Bridge that they were good to go. =/\= Anaya to Bridge, we're good to go =/\= It was now or never and Anaya was ready to go back to her ship when the signal was given.

[ Old!Maddox – Mac – Engineering] Of course, the Vulcan offered little by way of response to Maddox. Again, he was reminded that the Nork ego did not need stroking. With a childish roll of his eyes, he set about completing the tasks required and chasing around the crew in engineering. Time was running out everything had to go off without a hitch, he didn’t have enough years left in him to see a next time, none of them did. Maddox had moved between the different team assembled in engineering, he checked everything carefully to make sure it was all set. Nork announced his work was completed and then just like that he was gone. Clearly something caught his interest or he trusted those in engineering more than he let on, Maddox was more inclined to believe there we other more interesting developments that drew the Vulcan away. Maddox simply waved at the retreating form, an eyeroll followed before he moved to the console to contact the bridge.
</\> Engineering to Bridge. Ready when you are kid, just say the word.</\> Maddox had never really called Linus ‘Captain’ not only because protocol fell away after a while but also the man was many years his junior and so ‘kid’ kind of stuck. Maddox knew where his spouse was and as much as he wanted to go and find her, he knew she needed that moment. He knew both his Kaya and the Kaya from way back when needed that moment of understanding between them, having only been able to listen to his spouse recount her struggles but never understanding. Kaya’s needed each other in that moment and Maddox would give them that. He would find his spouse back on their Mac where he had every intention to spend the last of life with his Kaya, however long they got. Felicity Ellis for Linus and soft for Bridge.

{Quoted Posts} [Petty Officer Kellen Gates - Scapegoat Lounge]Things were all going very wrong. Gatesy wasn't an "I Told You So" merchant, but well, he'd called it. He looked up to meet the fairly intense stare of the young girl, the one that was claiming relation to Kova, and blinked. Why was she staring? Did she know his older self? What unfolded then was quick, but once he spotted the signs of shock, the end result became inevitable. Without hesitation, Kellen approached the young pile of collapsed hybrid. "Zyri? Zyri. Focus on my voice, can you hear me?" He had his tricorder out in seconds and was checking her vitals. "Everyone please stand back and give her some room."The readings were consistent with shock and considering the situation, he couldn't say he was surprised at her reaction to the blood and the sick and the recriminations. "Has she any underlying conditions?" He asked, his tone sharp as he addressed the girl's apparent father. [Lt.JG Rin Zakir - Scapegoat Lounge - USS Mac] Despite the pain and the organised (ish) chaos around him, Zak flashed the older man a small smile at his remark. Maybe now wasn't the best time, but he sure could with it! He really needed to be back on the bridge though, although he currently had the unusual advantage of being in two places at once. His mind then wandered to the bajoran women, who while older than he was now, were perhaps young enough to be his older selfs kids. yeah, he was definitely going to need that drink later! "I wouldn't say no", he then replied to Cerjess offer of help. His eyes drifted to what looked like the man's older self, speaking with...Kova, was it? He wasn't familiar with the andorian, but he had heard that her attitude matched the tundra that her people called her home. He then shifted his gaze to the conspicuously pink andorian, complete with what looked like trill spots. Was that even possible? Clearly yes, but he was pretty sure that andorians had four sexes and trill had the usual two. Oh well, it wasn't as if that was anyone of his business, but as she crumpled to the floor, he couldn't help but wince. "Unless of course you're needed elsewhere, then I'm sure I'll live", he assured his would be medic. "I really need to back on the bridge asap, but some of these people need help more than I do", he added. He wasn't selfish, after all! "Stress makes it difficult for her to get enough oxygen." After carefully fitting the mask in place, he reached down to take her hand. [Lt. JG Cerjess Miren - USS Mac - Scapegoat Lounge]As he was searching for another clean bar towel, the scientist was relieved to find an emergency med kit behind the bar. Grabbing it, he moved over to Zak, following the Bajoran's gaze to the newcomers. Another surge of discomfort washed through him, and he shook his head quickly. "Future me can take care of my future daughter." That sounded so weird. "I'd really rather not have to think about it." Opening the kit, he searched for a moment before finding the osteoregenerator, and got to work on Zak's injured arm. He looked up at the older version of the unusual science officer he'd met before, and spoke frankly with him. "I would not advise moving her until she stabilises." [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Scapegoat Lounge, Deck 10, USS Mac ] Kova scoffed and rolled her eyes at the insinuation that the Zyri girl was capable of hacking Chel-E. Of course, if that wasn't insulting, it was made even worse by the suggestion that girl had decided to ask. It was the sort of ploy she had expected as these future versions of the crew attempted to insert themselves into the lives of the present crew. Believing she was on to their plan, Kova made a conscious decision not to fall for this sort of manipulation. Of course, the rest of the crew was probably soaking up all this romanticized affection. Kova's attention snapped back at elder-Cerjess as his words suggested that Kova was upset by the girl's skin color. No, the Andorian wasn't that shallow. She was infuriated that the child existed at all. "Then, you had no right to force this life upon her."And then, the girl collapsed. Kova's eyes stared in that direction as Gates attempted to assess her injuries. The elder-Cerjess had abandoned their discussion and raced to the side of his daughter. Kova's eyes sought out the present-day Cerjess. He seemed content not to get involved and to remain with his Security friend. Perhaps he had right idea. Yet, Kova's concern curiosity allowed her to move a bit closer as she overheard some of what was being said as they attempted to treat the girl. Underdeveloped lungs... pink skin... they were all abnormalities that shouldn't exist. They were signs to more hardships than any non-Andorian could understand. Hearing him speak about how simply getting excited was a chore on her body... what sort of life was that? A torturous one? Gates introduced more oxygen into her body, but she only showed small signs of improvement. "She needs the cold," Kova suggested. She could feel some of their eyes gawking at her. "It may help the cells of her body oxygenate faster. Say... five degrees." Though that was rather mild for most Andorians. Despite her objection of the girl, Kova wouldn't turn her back on family an Andorian. Perhaps that had been why she had never been able to dismiss her own mother from her own life.

[ Myker Vulbrix - Ready Room - Prime!Mac] The Commander's blush drew no comment from Myker, he didn't plan to point it out and inevitably make the red hue she'd taken on worse. He chose rather to point out the credibility of his statement, "It's the truth Commander, I believe the crew would agree and flattery is hardly my style."Myker pointed out. Being 'too kind' as she put it could be considered flattery, Myker was simply pointing out a fact even if the Commander wasn't the best at receiving praise it was well earned or so the Betazoid believed. Myker nodded about Linus, a proud smile teased at his features barely there and gone before it came, "Reticence can be an asset in difficult situations. Our reactions tend not get in the way of what needs to be done." he said. He was careful not to make it seem like that meant Linus and by extension himself didn't care. On the contrary, he was as emotionally charged,if not more, as the rest of the crew were. He just didn't allow his internal emotions and struggles to become external ones, something Vulcans could appreciate and other Betazoid possibly wouldn't understand. Myker wasn't inclined to have conversations with anyone beyond what was absolutely necessary on a professional level. Their conversation wasn't one he'd even fathomed having with the Commander but it may have broken the ice so to speak and sort of forced the Betazoid through his usual aversion to actually holding any conversation. Myker wasn't sure he'd ever make complete sense of it but at least now to some degree Ellis wasn't a complete stranger. No doubt there were many such conversations happening abroad the ship that day, unusual and probably awkward ones that would prove to strengthen the ties of the Mac crew both professionally and personally. Myker had seen it enough times to know that to be the case, it's that sort of thing that made a rag-tag group of people into a strong, united crew. Myker would stand by his Commander and the crew under whatever circumstances, he was old school in that duty came first. He'd lay down everything he had for the greater good. The battle for his home planet only entrenched this deeper within him, carving it into his very being. That meant doing whatever was necessary to help get out of there an idea that seemed far-off. It was like something in a dream they were reaching out for but never quite catching. Myker had considered the possibility that they could get out, but no doubt the crews would be changed, both of them. Nobody simply sees an alternate future and walks away untouched and they wouldn't be sure if it's for better or for worse until they reached the other side. If they reached the other side. If they made it through this. Myker accepted the glass from Felicity, "Thanks" he replied looking up at the woman, dark eyes trying to focus. He nodded at her words and that had always been his intent, help first, worry about everything else later. " They'll soon be ready to move back to their own ship. We're probably going to need our commander on the Bridge once Captain Ellis returns to his. I will assist wherever needed." Myker noted, although not quite smiling, the usual frown had softened some. "You...know once I can walk out of here without hitting the deck…" It was time to get down to it and he wasn't convinced either crew was ready but time didn't wait so they'd have to trust in their crew from whichever time and take the leap. A leap of faith it certainly would be. [Felicity Ellis - Ready Room -> Bridge, Prime!Mac]That he seemed so authentic did nothing to assuage Felicity's discomfort at the words themselves, but she found herself appreciative nonetheless. Having the respect of one's crew was extremely important, especially to her. She did not need to be liked, but she did need her people to have faith that what she did and said was always in the crew's best interest. Linus indeed seemed to embody qualities that helped make someone worth following. She was pleased that both she and Vulbrix had a chance to see that. "You could always crawl." It had just slipped out in response to his quip about walking without hitting the deck, but it had somehow broken the heavier atmosphere between them, returning it hopefully to some semblance of normal. "It seems that'll be sooner rather than later," she said once the other Ellis' orders came through the comm. The first one had been poignant. The second had been directly to her, and served as a reminder. The time for talk and brief respite was over, now they had to finally, fully face what was before them. "Time to get back to work." She took one last sip of her water, placed it on the coffee table, and then squared her shoulders and sucked in a breath. She was preparing. Moments later, she re-entered the Bridge. =/\= "All hands, Commander Ellis. All able-bodied crew to their stations, please. Everyone else, strap in, once we leave the Core we'll be in for another bumpy ride." =/\=

Tag: Bridge, Sec/Tac: Rin Zakir , Eliska Bremmer Well, having just settled at a console that felt thoroughly alien to her, Bremmer was trying to make sense of the many inputs before her. Shield emitters were coming back online after modifications, structural forcefields were responding, and the last of the casualty reports had come in. So things were moving well enough until the Bridge intercom sounded, with Mister Nork, of all people, reporting he was under attack. Well, given she was one of the few members of her department currently not tied up with many other duties, that meant the Petty Officer could at least do something that made sense to her. Especially given the call for assistance was cut short, and she could swear she heard a dull thud just after the word 'by', even as she poinpointed the sourced of the transmission (well, more like read what the ship's communications grid reported about it). "I got this," she simply announced before turning to one of the Bridge small arms lockers and found herself a phaser, and headed for the Turbolift. If someone had been assaulted, she would not go down there unarmed! The trip towards the cargo bay had been short enough, and before long the heavy doors rumbled open and she carefully stepped in, her hand on her weapon and her eyes seeking out trouble, or at least sign of that infuriatingly Vulcan Ensign. "Mister Nork? Anyone? This is Security, come on out if you can..."

[ Rin Aya - Stellar Cartography - USS Mac] More praise from Nork? This was certainly new, but the words he chose to speak upon his departure were a little concerning. Live long and prosper? Wasn't that like a vulcan farewell, as opposed to a 'see you later'? She didn't know a lot about them, other than the time she had spent under his tutelage (as well as the few other vulcans left aboard her Mac), so she didn't read to much into it for the time being. "You too", she nodded with a small smile, deciding against putting stock in something that was likely of no concern. The bigger concern was that their task was now completed and that they were to standby to go home. "Good job, Anaya!", she praised her co worker (though she liked to think they may be friends) offering a smile that was warm yet somehow sad. She didn't know if they would make it through the rest of this day, with her Mac being so much older and more worn. That, and they would be returning to this Mac's space, not their own. What would happen, even if they did? Would her children have a future beyond this day? Taking a deep breath, she stood by for transport as requested, knowing that from here on out they were in the hands of the Prophets. At least, that was what her dad would tell her, but she had never thought that much about her own beliefs.
[ Old!Zakir - Bridge - USS Mac] It was time. After all these years of calculating, hoping and wishing, there was a chance that they could finally make it out of this place. He'd thought of this day for so long, almost sixty years in fact, but now that the time was upon them he had mixed emotions. still, even if one Mac could make it beyond this day, all they had worked for would not be in vain. In a way, he hoped it would be the younger Mac, if only one could return to normal space, as his younger self had a whole life ahead of him. Even if it was a life in which Aya and his grandchildren would never exist. Taking one last look at the console in front of him, he made doubly sure that he had done everything right, just as they had painstakingly practised all these years. One mistake could see neither Mac make it out, and he didn't want to be responsible for that. "I am ready", he assured his commanding officer, just as a call came in from who he assumed was the younger Nork, apparently under attack! He was no longer fit to assist in such an instance, and could only watch as Bremmer took the situation in hand. He knew that his younger self would also not exactly be in any fit state to respond, but if he knew himself, he would be very annoyed at not having been any help!
[ Lt.JG Rin Zakir - Scapegoat Lounge - USS Mac] The call came from the bridge to return to their stations, if able, and to strap in if they couldn't made Zak wince. He badly wanted to get back to Tac, but he had yet to be cleared. That is, if he was even going to be, as even with the offered treatment, he would still be a little sore and likely in a sling for the next few days! Oh Prophets... The exchange between Kova and t he older Cerjess continued, getting no less heated until the hybrid girl's collapse. He could understand the other's reluctance to get involved, and he had to agree that they would be talking about this for quite the while. Perhaps even over a drink, which was becoming something of a running gag at this stage. They had shared three missions together, two of which had ended in an alcohol debt of some kind. Three for three? He was going to need something a lot stronger than his peoples native ale this time, though. Maybe romulan?

That he seemed so authentic did nothing to assuage Felicity's discomfort at the words themselves, but she found herself appreciative nonetheless. Tags: Myker Vulbrix , ship-wide. [ Myker Vulbrix – Bridge – Prime!Mac] Despite the tension in the room easing a little from their continued conversation, the statement that rolled of her tongue so easily lifted most of what remained of that tension, the Betazoid broke out into a smile, one that didn’t fade in an instant showing his amusement. ”Touche Commander, Touche” he responded with a nod before moving to stand again. Despite how amused he was at her statement it was true, he could crawl to his station should the need arise, although he rather hoped it wouldn’t. Linus’ voice came over the com once more and it was go time. ”Seems that way.” Myker said about it being sooner rather than later. It was time to put Linus’ plan into action and see both the mans leadership and planning come into force. Not only that but it was time for their own crew to pull together, the other Mac may have come up with the plan, they may have been the ones to offer assistance, yet they learnt the skills from somewhere. This crew was the ones they’d learnt everything from, that was enough for Myker to put his full faith in their crew and the ones who would once again take control of this Mac. Myker stood, nodding about it being time to get back to work. It was time where conversation would do little, it was a time for action. It took only a moment of fighting with his mind and once again Myker’s thoughts were shielded, his mind reined in from its wild wanderings and the pain compartmentalized. It was time to go to work. Myker was back on the bridge moments after Felicity, he found his station and slipped into the seat every bit the stoic communications officer he was known for being. Even as the younger Nork’s voice came through the comms Myker didn’t seem rattled despite the Ensign stating they were under attack. It was quickly taken in hand, no doubt Bremmer could handle the situation. He couldn’t be much help, he was still sporting a head injury even if he chose to ignore it for now. Returning to his panel he checked that the channel between their Mac and Linus’ was still open, as well as making sure the other crew could transport safely. ” Transport should be ready when you are. Thank you for your assistance.” Myker said without much thought, he would be grateful for the crew of the other Mac even if they didn’t make it out, they’d been given a fighting chance, they were given hope and in dire circumstances hope was the greatest gift of all. He stripped of his garb quickly; not wearing a uniform made this task much more efficient, and then got to work on removing the younger version's clothing. Finally, he leaned down to switch their commbadges just as the sound of another voice began to echo throughout the chamber. Swiftly and with sure hands, Nork checked his other self's pulse. It was slow but steady. He was alive, but he would be unconscious for some time. That would do. "Security, it is I, Ensign Nork, I am coming out. I am unharmed."He stepped out onto the main floor, his expression blank, though his uniform was still a little ruffled. "I thought I saw something suspicious down here. I was mistaken. I apologise for your wasted trip, Petty Officer."

[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Scapegoat Lounge, Deck 10, USS Mac ] Kova scoffed and rolled her eyes at the insinuation that the Zyri girl was capable of hacking Chel-E. [Petty Officer Kellen Gates - Scapegoat Lounge]Gates looked up from his position at the young girl's side when Kova spoke. She was correct, of course. Her physiology may be more complex than if she had been born of one parent or the other, but it was likely that the cold would help. "Adjusting the temperature here is one thing, but it may take too long for her body to benefit." Aside from that, there were other injured patients here, some of whom would not react as well to a drop in temperature. His eyes roved, finally coming to rest on the archway to the small galley off the lounge. "The refrigerated pantry. It's small, but it's kept at a lower temperature to preserve the fresh supplies."He had said not to move her, but in this case he believed the short distance was worth the risk. Kellen Gates, all business now, looked to the others. "Help me carry her. Quickly."As he stood, he tapped his badge. =/\= "Gates to Ops. Zyri is not to be transported until further notice. I am in the process of attempting to stabilise her condition." =/\=

Tag: Eliska Bremmer Bremmer was starting to walk the cargo bay, searching out Mister Nork, and whatever aggressor he was dealing with when he called out, when his voice called out and she turned to look towards its source. It was the Vulcan all right, and he stated that his distress call was for nothing, that he thought he had seen something suspicious? But if that was the case, if there was nothing, why hadn't he called back to stand down the Security response? And for that matter, so much as she wracked her brain, the Petty Officer had never seen the man with so much as a smudge on his boots, let alone a rumpled uniform. But there was one thing: she had never heard of him apologizing to anyone about anything, let alone an enlisted Human. Could it be a case of being both right and wrong? That he indeed had not been attacked, but instead had encountered an accident that had scrambled up that Vulcan brain of his? That was possible, but even that didn't seem right. Hell, the man didn't feel quite right. "Well, Mister Nork, I still have to do a sweep of the cargo bay to make sure all is well. But in the meantime, I would need to ask you to move over to that corner over there and wait for me so I can walk you to Sickbay to get checked out, if you please?"Then, as she started to walk the hold to perform the sweep she was still required to do, a question popped into her mind. "Sir, might I ask you what brings you to this cargo bay?"
