[ Leanna - Park, Deck 6] There seemed to be a glimmer of hope as the Sivaoan smiled at Ari's invitation and for Leanna, she would be more than happy to talk to her and perhaps alleviate some of the distress that their guest had experienced. Although would understand if Two Dawns didn't want to join them, especially as the Betazoid continued to sense some of the emotions coming from her. She wasn't too close to pinpoint the exact issue, especially with the emotions of others that were around her, including those of Fells as he naturally tried to adjust to being in a crowd again. However, as Fells then stepped forward and lifted Ari into his arms, Lea knew that he was only trying to protect their daughter, as he apologised and attempted to be friendly towards Two Dawns. She hoped that the Sivaoan would want to at least talk to them, especially when Ari then spoke so compassionately and asked why she was sad. Ariana may of only been three, but she was a lot like Lea in that respect when it came to her concern for others and it was also a sign as to how her own abilities were starting to develop. " My name is Leanna, this is my partner Fells and the inquisitive one is Ariana" Lea then added, thinking it was only right to introduce themselves, now that Ari had spoken directly to their guest.

"She didn't bring pizza, but she brought all sorts of other food," Michael answered. "I should join her. I'm a dip-lo-mat too!"The young boy grabbed a few muffins, identified his grandfather's grey hair, and then made towards him, while eyeing his new friend. "You can come too. Grandma says she serves all of the station!"

"Okay. And your nan is the station commander isn't she? I bet she lets you eat all the candy you want doesn't she?" Xander chuckled. "No, I bet she doesn't. So she made you a diplomat. What's that like?" he asked the child as he followed him to the buffet table. "is that your grand-dad?" he pointed a finger towards Max. Sven rubbed his head, whatever was in that cigar was making him really ill. =A= " Medical, I need someone down on deck 6. "My grandparents give me all sorts of food, like stinky cheese, and chocolate cake, and ice cream. They always give me the best food, whatever they're eating."Michael led on, back to his grandparents. ***[ MCPO Ozu Saya, Kyo, Evekh - Park - Deck 6] Evekh was excited and looked up at his mother for permission to join. Saya dipped her head, then pointed to it and murmured, Watch me. When the music began, Saya bobbed her head in time, and Evekh picked up the beat, blowing a short blast on the kazoo with each bob. Saya joined after a moment, her bow fairly flying across the strings as she picked up the tune. Kyo listened through once before joining in on the melody with the tivara. As the song finished, Evekh added a few extra happy noises through his kazoo. This is a cello, she said in answer to the Sivaoan's question. An Earth instrument, and Evekh is playing a kazoo.Mine's a tivara. A woodwind from Bajor, Kyo added. And I'm afraid I have no idea at all what that song meant, he said with a laugh. I'd never heard it before. It's a fun one, though.
Tag Judith Eastman Soft tags for Rio Sosa and K'oshor, son of Khorshurk Music MeadowRio certainly hadn't expected the participation they got, but that was one of the wonderful things about music...it brought people together, and, as in a situation like this, anyone could join in, whether with an instrument or just their voice, and smiles were all around. Not only that, but with all the other voiced and instruments, Rio's own not-so-great voice was drowned out, and any nerves she had about playing in front of an audience melted away. As the music stopped, she glanced at the little kazoo player. "Nice job!" Evekh had been having a grand time, and there was yet another perk of music! "Meaning?" Something she hadn't really thought about, and even when she did, she came up with...nothing. "There isn't really a meaning," she explained, "it's sort of a nonsense song, just something fun and joyous that everyone can try." She shrugged. "We have rounds and such, songs just for singing. So, does someone else want to lead a song?"With the wide array of people, there was bound to be a wide array of music as well. Judith Eastman ; Ozu Saya ; K'oshor, son of Khorshurk [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, Grandchildren, Ens. Mabel Henriksen, & Sundancer to-Srallansre - Park, Deck 6]"I have already met Commander Eastman and Chief Ozu," Sundancer told Rio. "I have not met the others either.""These are my beloved husband, Max Williams, our granddaughter Helen, our grandson, Benny, my assistant, Ensign Mabel Henriksen, and Ensign K'oshor," Judy introduced, as she sat down on one of the picnic blankets and took her bass out of its case. Max joined her with his acoustic guitar, while Benny watched intently from the stroller and Helen sat down between her two grandparents. Both of the senior citizens joined into the music in time, Max fitting into the capacity of rhythm guitar, while Judy played the bass line. Both of them were careful not to hog the spotlight, not to upstage their Godson, the Petty Officer, or the honored guest, but even in their small roles, the two skilled musicians demonstrated talent, and that measure of synchronicity that many years together could foster. Sundancer drummed along, hesitantly at first and more confidently later, using mostly his tail. It was a technique that gave him a measure of force, as well as the ability to maintain a rapid rhythm if he so chose. Mabel, for her part, stood to the back and listened. At the end of the song, as the First Officer and her husband exchanged a small kiss, the bard had a question for the whole group. "What was the meaning of that song?" he asked them all. "And what are your instruments?" [Ens. K'oshor, son of Khorshurk - Park, Deck Six] "I am honored to meet you Sundancer," he told Sundancer. "The instrument I play is simply the Klingon guitar. It is much more like a harp," he said of his guitar. "It's played by simply moving ones fingers across the strings," he pointed out. He himself had enjoyed the choice of song as well, and even singing somewhat. "I may have a idea for a song," he told them all. "Perhaps something we will all understand. How about the Beatles Judy?" He asked this of her. He was having a good time for sure. To Sundancer he said, "I did enjoy the way you drum. You did it well," he told him. "I hear your people enjoy stories as well through song and music. I'd enjoy playing about such a grand story of my own people put to song, and the Klingon people are known for many grand stories," he told Sundancer. The whole group seemed to be enjoying themselves and so was he. To Rio he said this, "Nice choice of a song I liked it," he said proudly.

"I have an interest in your guitars. I think they're fascinating instruments," Sundancer observed. "And it's interesting that a song would have no meanings. Our songs often tell stories or pass down knowledge. I like the song, nonetheless. May I take it with me back to Sivao?"In the meantime, Judy and Max huddled, and in hushed whispers, discussed a song choice. "Helter Skelter?" Max asked. "No, too heavy, not now," Judy replied. "In My Life?""Not iconic enough," Max disagreed. "Here, There, and Everywhere?""Your vocals," Judy answered. "No, we'll share," Max disputed, and Judy's chuckle rose above the tone of the previous whispers. She raised her head to address the group. "This song is called 'Here, There, and Everywhere,' and it's a love song, from the perspective of the singer, about the woman he loves. You can go ahead and jump in wherever you feel comfortable," she told them. "There's a verse-chorus structure to it, so some of the melody will repeat."

[ MCPO Ozu Saya, Kyo, Evekh - Park - Deck 6] Evekh grinned up at Rio at her compliment, then looked proudly at Saya and said, I play good.Saya nodded at her son with a smile and replied, You did very well. Good job.
Watch again, she added as the new song started. Saya couldn't help smiling at Max and Judy's debate over what song to play as she started bobbing her head and tapping her foot, followed by drawing her bow slowly across the strings of the cello to add a bit of bass underneath the melody. When that song was finished, Evekh patted Kyo's leg and said, Daddy, play 'soon, play 'soon.Kyo chuckled, It seems I have a request to break out the bassoon. I guess that one might be interesting for you to see, Sundancer. The bassoon is a large woodwind instrument from Earth.
Carry on while I get set up. Kyo went to the pile of instruments, returning his tivara to its case before hefting the large hard-sided case that held the bassoon. He set it by Saya before grabbing a chair for himself and sitting to open the case. The reed went into a small cup of water to soak, which Kyo started to set on the ground next to him, but Evekh abandoned his mother's side to extend his small hand and say, I hold!Kyo immediately handed the toddler the cup with a chuckle, then saying seriously, Thank you for your help. He started assembling the bassoon while the others went on with their playing.

“Just Shavan is fine with me too.” On Orion people usually had only one name- Shavan had used his Andorian family name only occasionally until moving to the Federation and joining Starfleet. “That’s an interesting outlook. And true.” He replied to Silvertail about his specialty, or lack thereof. “I work in stellar cartography.” he added, it being only fair to say what he did as well. Since Kova had named her home planet earlier, Shavan thought he should do the same, lest SilverTail assume he had also been born on Andoria. “I suppose traditional music and food are things most cultures have in common. I’m from Orion, a non-Federation planet in a neighboring region to Andoria. And we have those things as well.” As for Silvertail’s continued questions about their antennae.. “Well.. yes, they can show emotion.” He didn’t know about detailed communication, just that he could move them, and that they contributed to body language like anything else. Maybe Kova would be able to answer this question in more detail. Pointedly ignoring Kova’s glance, he turned to listen to Evi’s reply about her project. Tag Isaiah Quinn Ozu Saya [NPC - Kova Sh'qaleq - Park, Deck 6, Front Ear Station] Kova listened as the Sivaoan seemed grateful for the abbreviated designations they had offered. He was certainly a curious one, inquiring further about their antennae. If he was a biologist, then he was certainly interested in learning all that he could about their most apparent features. She listened as Shavan explained that they did convey their emotional states as well. She began to wonder if he knew the extent of all their expressions, given that he was part Orion as well. Shavan explained that he specialized in stellar cartography. A star gazer. "It's true that for a time, there was no harmony between all of our peoples," Kova explained. "There was even great animosity and distrust. We were even on the brink of war. My people and the Vulcans, the stoic ones with pointed ears." Kova was assumed the description was apt enough for SilverTail to understand. "It was only with time that we came to understand that a union would benefit us far more than our historical animosities.""If I may," Kova continued. "I have noticed that your appearance differs from your compatriots. Has it something to do with the territory that you originate from on your planet?"She had also heard Evi's explanation. "So, to complete your task, you are hoping to be inspired?" Kova asked. It was likely a simplified explanation of a far more complex reasoning. "How will you know when inspiration strikes?"
Tag: Shavan Th'zhaar , Ozu Saya (SilverTail & Evi) [NPCs - Evi Hugo, SilverTail to-Ennien - Park - Deck 6] Evi shrugged slightly as she took some photos including Kova in the frame with SilverTail. She laughed a little at the thought of trying to explain inspiration. Have you ever, I don't know, been trying to choose something from among a group and one just leapt out at you and said, 'Pick me!' That's inspiration. I'll look at the photos and choose the ones that speak to me like that, along with some deference to composition and flow. I'd like to tell a story with the photos. She was excited as the Andorians - one of them half-Orion! Evi was stunned to learn - talked about their own physiology, but she sucked in a quick gasp when Kova asked SilverTail straight out about his appearance. The Sivaoan seemed to take this in stride, however, as if he'd expected such questions, but first he responded to Shavan's revelation. Ah, I see. I was not certain from your appearance whether the variation in your skin colors was typical of the species. I would be most interested in speaking with you further on the subject, if you're amenable. He turned his hands over and showed the varied grey and peach on the pads on his palms. You will find that my people all possess different colors of skin under their fur. Mine, is, of course, far more evident.
In answer to your question, no, my lack of fur is not due to my place of origin, but to a genetic mutation. I was born with a sparse coat, but it had all fallen out before I reached adolescence. As far as I know, I am the only one of my people with this condition, however, others that travel between camps are always on the look out for others like me. After my Walk, I chose to remain in one camp until this opportunity came along. Bare skin does not do so well in the jungle. His tone was humorous and his tail looped slightly. [Park- Fells] There were a lot of things to get distracted by and at first Fells was focussed on the food and didn't notice his two ladies getting interested in someone else. He was looking in a different direction. The magnitude of creatures made him a little weary. Plus there was security personell around, who was patrolling the eare to provide safety, which was their job. For Fells it meant a whole different thing now. He tried to stay away from them as much as possible. When he turned around he spotted a catlike creature near his surrogate daughter, which she had taken a few steps towards. The Catperson was bearing her teeth, which looked quite dangerous to him, so he stepped closer and lifted Ari up in his arms to make sure she'd stay unharmed. "Sorry, my daughter doesn't listen properly.""You must be one of the stations guests." He tried to sound friendly. From this position Ari could actually look the Sivoan in the eyes. "You sad?" She asked with more compassion than most adults. I... she hesitated, eyes sliding toward the cart with the infant, but she had to begin to live again sometime. She couldn't avoid babies forever. She pricked her whiskers forward, then dipped her head in the gesture she'd seen humans use for agreement. Thank you. I will join you. Her voice was tinged with emotion still, but her posture was absolutely neutral - ears and whiskers still, tail trailing the ground behind her.

Music MeadowIt seemed that their little group was growing, and the woodwinds would now be well-represented. She really was enjoying this more than she had thought, and as far as she could tell, they were doing a fine job of exploring and melding cultures. When Sundancer asked if he could use the song, she smiled and nodded. "Indeed, it is a very ancient song, referred to as 'traditional', I think because no one knows the exact origins. As such, it is there for any to use. I'll write down the lyrics for you." A recording would be better, but the Sivaoans shunned technology, so she'd have to put pen to paper. A new song started, and while she was familiar with the Beetles, she wasn't with this tune. Still, it was pretty easy to strum simple chords with it, and it didn't take long for Rio to catch on. [Ens. K'oshor, son of Khorshurk - Park, Deck Six] Every song had some meaning behind it he had learned. When it came to Klingon Opera there was always a story to tell. In Klingon culture stories, and songs often told of gorgeous historical events. Often at times they told of battles of old. Of how this and that happened. Klingon history as full of these epics. Some told of stories of Kahless, and how he was the first warrior king. He was considered to be the greatest warrior of all. Human Earth music K'osh had also learned often told stories as well. Folk music did that, from what he had discovered in his studies. He hoped when he got to share them with their guests they would like these stories. He played along with the current song on his Klingon guitar. He liked the choice of the current song. So he he sat down and played with everyone. "The song tells of a time when war was a thing. Many people during that time wished to be peaceful, and loving. To look past petty differences. It's become something the Federation strives toward these days. Exploration, and learning of new cultures," he added. He played along with the song, hitting the notes to his own best of his abilities. He himself enjoyed learning of new cultures as well. "Do your songs tell of your history as a people?" He asked Sundancer. "My own people often do so in song. While my own people are a warrior race, and long for battle, glory, and honor I share not some of my race's own views. But the telling of one's histories of one's own people that view I share with you, as does my own race. To learn more about you Sundancer is something I am looking forward to," He hoped he'd do Kahless proud this day.

[NPC - Kova Sh'qaleq - Park, Deck 6, Front Ear Station] Kova listened as Evi explained inspiration in her own words. "So, you become inspired after you've taken the pictures? Not before?" Kova asked as she attempted to understand the woman's words. It wasn't necessarily the case with Evi, but artists of any sort often showed better than they told. "I would certainly be interested to see the story you tell here today, as well as some of your previous works. Perhaps seeing the woman's work would tell Kova even more about her. The Andorian looked towards Shavan as he asked what brought Kova to the station. Apparently his curiosity in her had not ended with their guest, SilverTail. "Opportunity brought me to the station," Kova replied. "The opportunity to contribute to the station's security have led me to remain." She felt that the was likely sufficient enough to appease his curiosity without divulging more than she cared to. Kova listened as SilverTail explained the lack of his fur. It wasn't a geographical adaptation, but actually a mutation. It seemed to be a sensitive subject, but Kova wasn't going to apologize for her curiosity. If anything, doing so could possibly be interpreted as even more offensive than asking in the first place. Besides, from the way that SilverTail spoke, he had come to terms with this long before now. She nodded as he explained why he chose to wear the fabrics he had. "A useful?" she repeated. The term wasn't one that she was familiar with, at least in the context it was intended. Shavan then mentioned that they had their differences in appearance as well. And remarked Andoria was an ice planet. While it was true, she began to wonder if he'd even set foot upon the planet before. "Have you been to Andoria?" she asked Shavan. She allowed the question to linger, hoping the scientist would appease her curiosity. He then asked SilverTail what he meant about his Walk. Kova waited to hear his answer, though she considered it to possibly be his life, though it may have been some sort of journey.

Tag Rio Sosa , Judith Eastman , K'oshor, son of Khorshurk [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, Grandchildren, Ens. Mabel Henriksen, & Sundancer to-Srallansre - Park, Deck 6]The way Judy and Max looked at each other, almost oblivious of their fellow musicians, showed exactly who they thought they were singing about. The high, soft notes were a challenge for Max, but he took it on ably, while Judy provided the backing vocal. It was a reversal of their usual roles, as Max typically backed up Judy on her ventures. When they were done, they shared another kiss while the others talked. Sundancer, having drummed through the song, then found Rio's suggestion to write down the lyrics to be amusing. "My people have perfect recall," he told her. "I can remember exactly how it goes and play it from memory."He demonstrated, going through the entire thing. "Among my people, we do not use any writing, because we can remember things so well. We have no need of it. It's been difficult in going around your station, admittedly," he shared after he was finished. Michael, over in the back, belatedly answered Xander's question (he had been too busy watching his grandparents perform). "I live with my parents on Earth. We're just visiting here," he said. This was, as it happened, a cue for Judy to turn around. "I don't think we've been formally introduced," she told Xander. "Judy Eastman, his grandma."

[park- Fells] He wasn't sure what to think about the Catperson. For a moment it looked like she was eyeing his baby with too much curiosity and he had to reign in his natural protective instincts. He wanted to be friendly. So he nodded. "Good." Together they bought some food. He opted for flatbread filled with fried vegetables, dressing and salad. There was meat to choose from as well. They carried it to a spot near the music, which naturally attracted them.
A smile appeared on his features when he heard the drums. Aven woke up from the sound, made a few tiny baby sounds and looked around. "You hungry, too, buddy?" He looked at Lea. "Looks like he smelled the food."
Out of the corner of his eye he watched the Sivoan. "Did you get any food as well?"

[NPC - CopperTail to-Allanien - Park, Deck 6, Front Ear Station]CopperTail wasn't used enough to these species' scents to make diagnoses with her scent, but she could tell that the immense one leaning against a tree wasn't doing too well. She approached, a few supplies in a useful fashioned into a backpack on her, and tried to figure it out. "Hello, my name is CopperTail to-Allanien. I am a healer among my people," she introduced herself. "Are you unwell?"With a slightly bristled tail, she was concerned.

[ Leanna - Park] When the Sivaoan accepted their offer to join them, Lea smiled happy that things weren't as awkward as before. So as Fells answered her, Lea then spoke up. " That's great, we were just about to get some food then sit down".Ari also seemed happy as they then returned to the food tables and selected what they wanted. Considering that she was using up extra calories with feeding Aven, Lea chose a selection of meat, along with flatbreads and veggies. Helping Ari to get what she wanted, before Fells led the way towards a spot near the music. It was definitely a good place to sit, as the family enjoyed music and quickly settled Ari. She was about to take a bite when Fells alerted her to Aven being awake and how he must of smelled the food. That made her grin as he definitely had great timing and loved the interaction between her favourite boys. " I think he did too" she replied as she reached over and got him out gently. Listening as Fells then spoke to their new friend as she prepared to feed him and covered herself to do so.

[ MCPO Ozu Saya, Kyo, Evekh - Park - Deck 6] Kyo had the bassoon ready to go in a few minutes, retrieving the reed from Evekh and placing it in the mouthpiece before dropping the strap around his neck and settling in. If I could? he asked. I think this is one everyone can jump in on.Saya narrowed her eyes at Kyo when he didn't say the name of the song. He was usually up to something when he did that. Her suspicions were confirmed a moment later when he started playing. Saya glared at him. Kyo raised his eyebrows, waiting for her. Saya raised her eyes to the ceiling, then drew the bow across the strings and beginning to sing in a lovely alto voice. Even though it came from ancient Earth entertainment for children, she'd found that the song meant a great deal to her. She wouldn't sing it in public, though, without urging. Kyo loved to hear her sing, and she wouldn't leave him hanging. Evekh just listened this time around, standing between his parents with one hand resting on Kyo's leg as he stared up at his mama as she sang.

[NPC - Shadow of Srallansre - Park, Deck 6]Shadow was in the slow process of regaining his composure when he was approached. "This is dangerous," he protested. "It's far too spicy. Do you have water I can drink to wash it away?"He looked over to the group of humanoids. They looked, and smelled, very similar but different. "My name is Shadow of Srallansre, from the planet Eeiauo. Who are you?" he asked of them.

Hudson poured Shadow a class of water from a jug on the table and offered it to him. "I'm Ensign Hudson. Chloe," she said. "I'm Lieutenant Harmon, pleasure to meet you," Harmon said as the cat like alien glanced around the group that had gathered near the food.
