[NPC - Kova Sh'qaleq - Park, Deck 6, Front Ear Station] Kova nodded towards Evi as the young woman excused herself to collect more images of the event. Kova knew that the woman was present in an official capacity, but was hoping that she would get the opportunity to see more of her work. She was an intriguing individual. And speaking of intriguing individuals, it appeared to Kova that they didn't seem to be in short supply. She turned her attention back to Shavan and SilverTail. Kova listened as SilverTail remarked upon what she had shared about her homeworld. Her head tilted to the side as she was curious about his initial remark. "What exactly do you find so fascinating, if I may ask?" said Kova. She listened as he pointed out the similarities of their people and actually found it interesting that they seemed to reproduce rather heartily. In this sense, she too was now finding the subject of biology interesting. "It is extraordinarily rare that my people experience multiple births."[NPC - SilverTail to-Ennien - Park - Deck 6] Orionss, SilverTail repeated. Interesting, so Andorianss and Orionss are comaptible? And One of the others we met earlier is a hybrid between Bajoran and Vulcan. I was amazed to learn that so many different species are able to procreate together.
As to what I find fascinating, he added to Kova. I'm quite serious that I find everything fascinating so far. I have always enjoyed learning, and while I could never learn all there is to know even on my own world, I was excited to take the opportunity to investigate beyond Sivao.
Ah, yes, my people can be quite prolific. It's unusual for us to have fewer than three at a time, though two isn't completely outside the norm. It's very rare that a female births only a single child. That's usually due to complications before or during birth, though such issues are rare as well. We're really a very hardy species overall. SilverTail's eagerness was obvious in his tone. [Shavan Th’zhaar, Park, Deck 6] “Yes, I think we, or Orions at least, are.. compatible with most humanoid species. Though some might need the help of doctors to have children.” He wouldn’t be here if that wasn’t the case. Although those exact circumstances wasn’t something he wanted to think too closely about. Nor was having children of his own. But while they were on the subject.. “Can your people have children with the Eeiauoans? Or are they too different?” Or too similar to be considered hybrids? He wondered what the differences between the species were like. It was potentially a rude question, but SilverTail had asked them first. Tag Isaiah Quinn Ozu Saya

He wondered what the differences between the species were like. It was potentially a rude question, but SilverTail had asked them first. [NPC - Kova Sh'qaleq - Park, Deck 6, Front Ear Station] It appeared that SilverTail found just about everything Kova had shared fascinating, likely because it was so new. It sort of begged the question of why Starfleet found their input so valuable when they seemed so innocent in the galactic sense. Their view of the galaxy around them was clearly more finite, so how were they an asset in the Federation's plans for Kerelia. The logic of it all seemed to elude Kova, which could suggest that it may have been some Vulcan's idea to begin with. Kova did focus on what SilverTail shared though, about how the exact opposite seemed to be true for his people in terms of the number of multiple births. Even Shavan chimed in, and Kova found his input to be especially intriguing. It seemed Orions were compatible with a number of species. Science certainly supported that, considering how popular the company of Orion girls had been for centuries. She had simply never known it to be the case for Andorians. Yet, the mention of doctors playing a role, certainly painted a clearer picture of Shavan's origins. "Well, my zhavey insists that as much as she loved my siblings and I, she wished she could have shared the burden with the rest of her bondmates," Kova shared. "Suffice it to say her firstborn was the only birth she endured naturally. Afterwards, she welcomed the use of medicinal assistance. Luckily, it's not something I will ever have to endure should I decide to become a parent."

] [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, Grandchildren, Ens. Mabel Henriksen, & Sundancer to-Srallansre - Park, Deck 6]Judy took the offered hand and shook it with surprising firmness for a woman of her age. "If Sven needs help, he knows how to ask for it," she reassured. She knew he was a proud man, but he wasn't a total fool. Her attention was promptly drawn back to the musical circle. She played along to both songs, appreciative of Saya's impressive singing, and playing along to the Klingon song as well. However, the Klingon-ness of the latter rather confused their guest of honor - and some of the grandchildren. "Doesn't blood make things dirty?" three-year-old Helen asked, drawing slight embarrassment and shaking heads from her grandparents. However, the bard's interest was piqued. "That song was rather different from the others," he observed. "Is your culture more warlike than the others?"He looked toward K'oshor, but also the rest of them, for an answer. Judy looked with much concern at the goings-on, hoping she wasn't witnessing an international incident in the making. [NPC - CopperTail to-Allanien - Park, Deck 6, Front Ear Station]CopperTail's namesake body part (her tail, that is) went from bristling to rather twisted. This man looked distinctly unwell. "I may be able to help you," she offered. "Will you tell me more about how you're feeling? And whether your people feel this way often?"CopperTail believed she could handle this, maybe.
|Park, Deck 6 || Sven Aune | Xander McGrath | Sven shook his head. "No, We are not supposed to feel like this. Are you a doctor?" he asked still holding onto the tree. His stomach churned again. That was the last time he would put out an unknown cigar on his tongue like that. Damn Bolians with their iron stomachs. Meanwhile Xander looked over at Sven and nodded. "Ya, he's pretty tough. But I don't know about the brights department."

[Park-Fells] The way she held her own tail, spoke and her whole appearance made Fells weary. His protective instincts kicked in so he moved closer to Lea because he could not tell what was triggering the Sivoan.
With his one hand he held Ari who decided to pull away because she had seen some floating balloons. "Look. Look." "Ari...no." Fells tried to stop her but she was gone so he had no choice but to follow her. For a moment he wondered whether he should leave Lea and the baby with the Catperson. So he asked. "Could you help me fetch Ari?"

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Park, Deck 6 - One Hour Later]
After some more time spent getting to know the Sivaoans, it was time for Judy to go - there was still a station to run. However, before she did so, there was an announcement to make.
”We’ll be holding training sessions with our Sivaoan guests, as an opportunity for us to become more familiar with their ways,” she announced, using the comm as a microphone. ”There will be several sessions, all on skills that may be useful to settling Kerelia, starting with sessions on construction and hunting tomorrow morning. The full schedule should be sent out to you all… soon, so stay tuned for that.”
With that, she, and her family, headed out.

The Next Day
[CopperTail to-Allanien & Sundancer to-Srallansre - Holodeck 1]
The holodeck was laid out as a tropical forest, a scene very similar to those seen throughout Kerelia. It was hot, damp, somewhat hilly, but shaded. The noises of nature could be heard, and in the background, animals were scurrying.
The two Sivaoans stood amidst all this nature, ready to guide the hunt. CopperTail looked a little more concerned - these humans seemed a little fragile - while Sundancer was thrilled to see how his new friends took to his people's customs.

The Next Day
[Two Dawns to-Vensre and SilverTail to-Ennien - Holodeck 2]
In a similar forest in Holodeck 2, Two Dawns and SilverTail stood in a large clearing, ready for their students.
Two Dawns was still feeling a little rough after the previous day. When the Sivaoans had returned to their quarters, she'd shut herself in one of the solitary bedrooms instead of relaxing in the main living space where the chief engineer had done her best to create a space that mimicked their homeworld, with plants everywhere, vines running across the ceiling, dimming the bright, unnatural light, and a massive climbing structure with multiple levels and hammocks.
SilverTail stood bare, the environment much warmer than the rest of the station had been. His bare tail wrapped companionably around Two Dawns' waist, offering silent support. She hadn't rejoined the others until it was time to head for these 'holodecks' to conduct their training sessions, and she hadn't seemed to be in a mood to talk about what was wrong.

[Holodeck 1 - Ensign Hudson]Harmon had refused to attend the next event in the holidays after being bored, and Chloe suspected embarrassed, at the prior party. Technically he'd called in 'sick' but she knew he was faking. So she was on her own this time but was excited to see what they had in store. She was dressed in fatigues matching the jungle terrain. "Morning everyone!" she said eagerly as she entered the holodeck.

[ Leanna - Private Quarters, Deck 15 - The Next Day] It was a good thing that Leanna wasn't back at work, then again even if she was, she wouldn't be quite on time as she attempted to change Aven, before her son decided to pee everywhere including all over his Mother's top. Ariana who Lea had enlisted to help her by fetching a fresh diaper and clothes from the storage box next to the sofa, thought it was hilarious and started giggling. Even Lea as she used a cloth to clean up where she could, started to see the funny side as she then removed his now wet sleep suit. Letting him kick and explore as she took the items from Ari, who had managed to calm down and thanked her, before agreeing that she could get a cookie from the kitchen. With Ari happy, Lea then returned to Aven, talking to him as she got fastened the clean diaper and dressed him in a long sleeved top and trousers. Now that Aven was sorted and happy on the changing mat, Lea knew that she still had to decide, if they would be attending the workshops or not. As much as she had enjoyed meeting the Sivaoans the day before, she didn't know whether she was ready to leave the baby yet. Of course it was something she had to talk to Fells about and see what he wanted to do. " Babe, have you decided if you want to go to one of the workshops or not, I know there's one on hunting if you're interested?".

[NPC - Kova Sh'qaleq - Holodeck 2, Front Ear Station] The smart thing to do would have been to avoid this gathering all together. It would certainly be easier to elude the likes of the security officers that she consulted with. More than likely, they would decide to go hunting. The only other option scheduled for the day was construction. Kova was confident that attending that one would offer the least risk of interaction with them, and thus provide her the opportunity to excuse herself after making an appearance. However, there was the prospect of seeing exactly what sort of technology the Sivaoans would unveil during this exercise. There was no way that anyone would think that a completely 'native' approach would suffice on Kerelia. She hadn't been privy to all the reports of the planets, but some of those Belters had loose lips when applying alcohol. That was if you could understand what the hell they were saying. The fact that even the universal translator was unable to decipher exactly what they were saying spoke a great deal of the language's level of sophistication... or lack thereof. As she entered the holodeck, she instantly felt the heat and humidity of the tropical setting weigh upon her. Kova wasted no time in peeling off her jacket, revealing a dark tank top. It wasn't that bad. She honestly would have preferred a few degrees above freezing, but had gotten used to the pampering most species seemed to prefer when it came to climate controls. Besides, this simulation should mimic the environment that they were expected to be in. She followed the path to where she found the pair of Sivaoans waiting. SilverTail, she was familiar with, but not the other with fur. "Hello," she said greeting the pair, but also to alert them to her presence in case they hadn't noticed. Her eyes surveyed the area. She naturally assumed they would introduce the rest of the equipment after the others arrived so that they could begin.

Tag: Ozu Saya (SilverTail & Two Dawns) [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Holodeck 2]The transition from a cool, temperature controlled environment into a hot one was not unlike a slap in the face. The suddenness of the transition was just unmistakably unpleasant. "Yikes, it's hot," Judy kvetched to Max. "It's like Thomas' Bar Mitzvah," he replied, referring to the ceremony they'd held in the Holy Land, in rather balmy summer weather. "Sweat-circle city.""Well, that's a self-inflicted wound," she ribbed. Sure enough, Max had chosen to wear a light gray t-shirt (very much prone to sweat-circles) with red lettering reading "Harvard Dad", while Judy wore a solid black tank top, both of them with blue jeans. Both of them were rather pale, but Judy more so than Max, the suntan of her late-autumn medical leave in Hawaii completely gone. What's more, her medical bracelet, denoting her as having an artificial heart, was far more prominent with no sleeve to graze it. Unlike yesterday, neither wore their specs at the moment, though their reading glasses were within reach. "Good morning," the First Officer greeted those assembled, glancing down at her wristwatch. "Looks like we're going to melt just a little bit."The last quip was said with a particular, but brief, glance towards their Andorian security consultant.

| Construction Workshop, Holodeck 2 || lt. Sven Aune |_____ Interactions at a glance: Sven Aune -> KovaSven Aune -> Judy and Max_____ The reception was a complete mess after Sven had gotten pretty darn sick off that cigar. But the Sioasian doctor had whipped up some sort of herbal remedy right there on the spot and he felt much better. But he had to take a trip to sick bay just to make sure. A few hours there and a cleansed palette later he was released. He met Xander in the station gym and they worked out together, and Sven invited him to the workshop, but Xander had expressed that he had enough fun with station personnel and their families and would rather just kick back and watch the game. So Sven gave him a kiss on the cheek and made his way to the stifling hot environment of the holodeck jungle. He was eternally thankful that he didn't have to wear his uniform. He hated that hot tight itchy thing. So he wore what he normally wore while off duty. A stringer tank-top, blue jeans and a pair of dusty worn unlaced leather boots. He had to wage a bit of an internal war deciding which one he wanted to attend. Hunting, or building. Both suited him well as a combat engineer. But if he was honest with himself, he missed the building aspect of his job since the end of the Dominion war. Upon entering the holodeck he spied Judy and Max and gave them a wave as he approached. "Hi."And he also saw, to his surprise, the Andorian hacker. He tilted his head with a nod and greeted her as well. "Hey Kova. How are you?"_____ Tags Judith EastmanIsaiah Quinn

[Apartment-Fells] With a little amusement Fells had briefly watched Leas mishap before he quietly dodged that bullet.
Ari pulled him back into the room smearing her chocolate cookie fingers on his hand. "Hm...nice...can I get more than a crumble?" He asked, so the girl ran away to get him one as well.
Then he motioned for Leas shirt. "Sweaty day?" With a grin he answered. "Hunting sounds enticing. It's a holo, right? Bit dissapointing. But yeah, I'd go....should we take turns to babysit?"

Technically he'd called in 'sick' but she knew he was faking. So she was on her own this time but was excited to see what they had in store. She was dressed in fatigues matching the jungle terrain. "Morning everyone!" she said eagerly as she entered the holodeck. [Shavan Th’zhaar, Holodeck 1] While both of the training sessions sounded useful for survival on Kerelia, Shavan thought that hunting sounded more interesting and aligned with his skills. So the morning after the reception he made his way to Holodeck 1. He was dressed in his usual civilian clothes of a black tank top and pants. Upon entering the holodeck he walked over to the small group that was starting to gather. “Hello.” he greeted those already there and the Sivaoan hosts. “This should be interesting.”Tag: Judith Eastman Rio Sosa Matthew Harmon

But yeah, I'd go....should we take turns to babysit?" [ Leanna - Private Quarters] Lea had to admit that it was adorable with how Ari had gained her adoptive Dad's attention with cookie fingers, before running off to get him one, which was something that she couldn't fault as their daughter was a lot like her in that respect. However when Fells then made a fun comment about the state of her shirt, Lea stuck her tongue out playfully as she answered him. " Oh very funny, just you wait until its your turn for him to pee on you" she said playfully as Aven continued to kick his legs. " Isn't that right gorgeous boy".She knew that she had to get washed and changed, but for the moment Lea wasn't in a rush, especially when Fells responded to her about joining in with the hunting workshop. She understood his disappointment at it not being real, but considering how he loved the outdoors and nature, it was definitely a perfect choice for him to learn more. " It is but I'm sure that you'll enjoy the experience regardless of that" she replied, before he confirmed that he would go and asked if they should take turns looking after the kids. If she was being honest, Lea was happy to sit this one out, especially as she couldn't go anywhere for too long, with her feeding Aven naturally. " I'm good with sitting this one out, what with me feeding Aven naturally and I'd rather you go enjoy yourself and not have to worry about us, plus you can tell me all about it when you get back".
