[Intelligence Office]"Eh, she was concerned they'd kill her. I think she'll be fine being monitored for this," he said dismissively. "It doesn't matter if they buy it or not. There's reasonable doubt, they can't harm her on the station without giving us the legal authority to intervene and search them, regardless of if we have proof of any other wrongdoing. At worst it will set us back and we'll need to find another way to get the information we need." Then came a revelation he wasn't expecting. Thomas Jett. The Robert Hanssen or Aldrich Ames of Starfleet. A man shamelessly sold out Intelligence, leading to the execution of numerous agents, some of whom Harmon knew personally. His treason was largest damage to Starfleet Intelligence's network in its history, undoing much of the work that had been done since the Dominion War. The networks that had allowed Starfleet to respond to flashpoints quickly and carefully helping avoid conflict in some cases were irreparably harmed. Worse, he inexplicably received a pardon from the President, leading the Intelligence community to speculate he must have had some sort of dirt to blackmail the President. "You know full well what happened last time the traitor had access to sensitive fleet information, Captain," he responded quickly, slamming a fist on the table. "I gave assurances to Moz I would keep her safe. I gave assurances to my new assess of Caldonia they would be safe from authorities. My informants in the Tilonus Syndicate have the same assurances." He was visibly angry at the mention of Jett, and worse that she seemed willing to trust him with sensitive information. "Their blood will be on your hands if he decides committing treason once wasn't enough...and I will ensure there won't be a third time," he threatened. [Felicity Ellis - Intelligence Office]Felicity intensely disliked the man's dismissive attitude toward the safety of his asset, but she remained quiet. Of course the Alliance could harm her, either on or off the station, and Felicity could only assume he was aware of that possibility. She wondered who he was trying to convince. And then, suddenly when the unknown quantity of Jett was introduced and he wanted to make a point, he cared about what happened to Moz. Her eyes narrowed with suspicion, but still she stayed quiet. She didn't react to the fist slam on the table, attributing that to passion, pain, ego... whatever it was, she'd seen plenty of it in her counseling suites over the years. It wasn't until he'd seemingly wrapped up the display with a threat that she spoke. "I'm the Captain, Lieutenant. Any blood shed here is on my hands."Fatalistic? Maybe. Narcissistic? Most definitely, but a point to be made nonetheless. "I'll choose to ignore your assumption that I'm ignorant to my responsibilities to the people here. Thomas Jett is a divisive subject among any on this Station who are aware of his presence, and they all have their own reasons to feel the way they do." She spoke smoothly, a part of her enjoying the thought that in this case, she had more Intel than an Intelligence Operative. "I might not expect you to understand, or even respect any of the decisions that I make, but I do require you to do your job. He has a use - bring him in. When he no longer has a use - cut him loose."She unclasped her hands from between her thighs and stood. "Your objection is noted. Are there more?" She asked with an arched brow, though her eyes were already on the exit, her mind on the next problem.
Tag: Matthew Harmon [Intelligence Office]Harmon despised the Captains dismissiveness and trivialisation of Jetts crimes. A divisive subject. Her attitude was an insult to all the lives lost directly and indirectly because of his actions. "I take my job seriously," he said, his tone cold and glare cold and icy. "I'll make sure its done," he nodded. "What information is Jett after? I presume he's planning on accessing the Computer Core?" it was after all the logical place for him to go if he didn't have the command codes necessary for whatever he was after. "I'll bring him in. Under the Espionage Act I can hold him for some time. We'll find out who contacted him, whoever did can be charged with espionage offences too, if they're connected to the Alliance then there's our justification to take more action against them," the powers he could invoke in the name of national security terrified many for good reason. For now, they would be useful. "I'll put on a nice show, make it seem to them if they're watching that he wasn't working with us." Harmon already had a few ideas, perhaps he would release Jett with fake information to send to his 'employers'. With that he could launch a sting operation. Of course there remained the distinct possibility that Jett was misleading the Captain and just wanted easy access to some information. Either way, be Jett on their side or not, bringing him in was the best plan.

Security Office"Soon as you tell us, it's considered filed," Rio pointed out, staying as polite as she could, "but I don't know that slander or libel are grounds for retaining a person." Her nose wrinkled up into a frown. "And I don't know that a private correspondence can be used as slander unless you can show intent by them being released. And there is still free speech and the right to voice an opinion, and besides, he's intoxicated, so anything spewing from his mouth doesn't hold much credence."She didn't know why she was suddenly defending the Zakdorn, except that the approach by the Nyberrite Alliance advocate just rubbed her the wrong way. "Doesn't seem like a criminal act, more like something you need a lawyer for." Not that she knew that much of the laws, but she couldn't recall ever arresting or detaining a drunk for talking. | Security office, Promanade || lt. Sven Aune | medic Gloria Shivv |
Interactions: Sven -> GroskGloria -> ZarkdornGloria -> GroskGloria -> RioSven was starting to get impatient with Sergeant Grosk. Claiming to have received some sort of receipt for the whining she made against the Zarkdorn. He rounded on her, "Why do I care if your organization has frozen his benefits? Why are you telling me this? This is obviously an intra-organizational issue." he pointed his finger between the sergeant and the now puking drunk. "Work it out between yourselves. Not my problem."Meanwhile to Gloria's horror, as she helped tip the man back up right, be spewed a rather copious amount of sick all over the place. Quite a bit upon her uniform. "Oh for FUCKS SAKE!" she had lost her temper. Standing, with puke sliding down her front she looked at Sven, Rio, and the Sergeant. She pointed a finger at the Na'kuhl. "You, get me a towel. NOW!" she then pointed a finger at Sven, "You. Shut up, take the damn complaint and call down to the infirmary and have carbo-chalk sent up. Not transporting this with the fucking teleporter." she looked to Rio "And you..... Replicated a change of clothes for me."Sven stood back with a grimace. "Crewman..." he was about to warn her. But the look she gave him. One of pure and total 'you're on dangerous grounds, you better stuff it, or I'll kick your butt so hard your ancestors will feel it.' coupled with the devil's rage beaming from her eyes and sick slopping down her front. "Yes ma'am." he complied, making the call. Security OfficeIt took quite a bit of self control not to burst out laughing as the Zakdorn spewed all over the woman, but it was pretty gross, and certainly not deserved, even if a hazard of the job. "Yeah, sure..." She paid no mind to the orderly nature of the order, she would help regardless, and headed over to the replicator to get a fresh change of clothes and some damp, rose-scented towels. "Here you go." Setting the uniform close by, she took the towels over to the Zakdorn and gingerly started wiping him down. If nothing else, he would smell pretty when she was done! [NPC - Alpha Sergeant Gorsk - Security Office, Promenade, Front Ear Station] As the large man seemed to round on her, Gorsk stood her ground, hardly inclined to stand down. In fact, she took a step closer, her eyes narrowing. It seemed the larger humans were, the more agitating they could be. His remarks reeked of nothing but neglect to his duty. It was affront to any sort of oath he had taken to wear that uniform in her opinion. Still, she wouldn't sink to his level. Taking a deep breath, she then gave her retort. "It should be obvious that this man is in your custody," Gorsk stated. "You escorted him to your security office. Because he is impaired, I'm leaving this notice in your hands. And he is no longer apart of our organization. Unlike Starfleet, the Alliance has very little tolerance for conduct unbecoming of an officer."It was then that the woman on the floor seemed to erupt in a state of hysteria, shouting out orders to everyone, including Gorsk. She had apparently been charged with getting towels, of course had no idea where to get any. It seemed impractical run bar and back for some cloths. She raised her fist to speak into her comm unit. "Gorsk to Soteria. Transport a dozen hand towels to my location. If solicited for a reason, inform the station's command center to contact the security office for proper clearance." It took a few moments, but the whine of a transport beam soon materialized two short stacks of towels at Gorsk's feet, all bearing the emblem of the Nyberrite Alliance. She then looked towards the medical officer. "Your towels," she said coolly. "If there's nothing more that you require of me," Gorsk said, looking towards each of them.
Tag: Sven Aune (& Gloria), Rio Sosa , Ozu Saya (Zakdorn) [NPC - Zakdorn - Security Office] The Zakdorn was helped upright once again without actually hitting the ground. He felt a little bad, as much as he was mentally capable, about vomiting all over the nice doctor that was trying to help him. And here came the smaller security officer, wiping him down with something that smelled good, but made his nose itch, not that he could smell much past the alcohol and vomit. He reached out with a shaky arm and tried to pat Rio's head affectionately in thanks, missing a couple of times due to double, or was it triple?, vision. He glared past the security officers and doctor at Gorsk, unable to muster up his former anger any longer. [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Shavan was gracious in stepping aside to allow Chief Melihn to say her piece. The Orion-Andorian Hybrid must have picked up on the sensitive nature of whatever she was implying because he stated that he'd see Kova later. "Um... don't go too far," she said, hoping that he'd still be near when she finished. Kova began to follow Ryah's lead as she started to take a few steps away, giving them some privacy. As she made her assumption known, about Kova's being here and hearing the Alliance's pitch. Kova began to wonder if this was Ryah's attempt to truly shove her off. Was it not allowed to simply hear them out? Loyalty to Starfleet or none at all? She swallowed heavily, but still held her tongue as the chief of security went on. She stated that the Alliance would likely be interested in someone with her skill set. Kova took a deep breath as she wondered what sort of skill set that was exactly? Merely, her skill with computers, or also those of someone with an axe to grind with Starfleet? Did she know about the invitation? Was she screening Kova's messages? The Andorian crossed her arms as she continued to listen. "Well, they wouldn't be the first," she said simply as she allowed Ryah to continue. What Ryah was proposing, however, was not what Kova was expecting. She said that it was a request and not a demand, but she still was still under the impression that members of Starfleet seemed to think those two words were synonymous. "You want me to--" Kova began but quickly lowered her voice. "Why are you asking me? Don't you have people trained for this?!" Kova's eyes were wide. Her mind racing for a reason as to why they would be asking her to do this. Perhaps they simply thought she was expendable. If she were discovered, at least they wouldn't have lost one of their own. She was about to say a bit more when she noticed the commotion that started at the bar. Kova cleared her throat. "Um... you, you may want to...." Kova pointed towards the bar where some man was on the ground and a table full of Alliance blokes had just stood up, their attention towards the bar as well. Kova had seen her share of bar fights, and been a few as well. She'd yet to see one that ended well. Her mind and eyes then shifted in search of Shavan... hoping he wouldn't do anything... stupid. Of course, if he'd grown up on Orion, surely he knew better.
Tag: Shavan Th'zhaar , Ozu Saya (Ryah) [NPC - SCPO Melihn Ryah - Promenade] Ryah blew out a breath and pursed her lips to one side. She wasn't doing very well at this. The chief of security was much better at being just that - the visible face of security on the station, or, you know, handling problems at the far end of a phaser rifle. She glanced back into the bar to see a number of people milling about, but couldn't tell exactly what had happened. Oh Prophets, I'm terrible at this. Look, speak to Lt. Harmon; he's heading this up. The short answer is, people who are trained for this kind of thing are too obvious.
I assume we'll do everything we can to keep you safe, but as I said this is up to you. We have a few others to speak to. I'll leave you to think about it.
I'd better go see if I can keep this from descending into a brawl.Ryah turned and darted back into the bar, using her small size to her advantage to slip between people and make it to the center of everyone's attention. She raised her voice to a bellow, What's going on here?

Tag: Felicity Ellis [Felicity Ellis - Intelligence Office]She returned the icy glare and wondered if she'd made a mistake giving him oversight. Felicity pushed further doubt from her mind, believing her time to be better put to use on the matter at hand rather than trying to work out why he was so quick to emotionally react. He had experience on his side, so he would have the benefit of the doubt and she wasn't a counselor any more; his motivations were none of her business. "Something hefty enough to prove to the Alliance that he means business, but nothing so big that could irreparably damage our position." Hopefully. Don't screw me, Tom... She spared a quick glance at the chronometer on her wrist and then nodded. "I sent him to take advantage of the 2100 HRS shift change in the Core. He should be finishing up right about now."Making it seem as though Jett wasn't working with them was the smart move, especially since they'd been seen speaking in the Blue Beta earlier. She'd want to eliminate any suspicion that she'd facilitated Jett's little side-project. "Have fun with that," she told Harmon then as she prepared to leave, hopefully bound for Astrometrics and the second part of Admiral McKenna's new orders, "Call me if you need me to sign off on anything."

[...] With no other words of farewell, she moved off, intent on the exit of the Blue Beta Bar & Grill. She passed by near to Vasser and a couple of her people, and gave a few nods of greeting. "Colonel. Good evening," she said by way of hello, her tone professional, relaxed, though her eyes lingered on the other woman for a moment before she continued on, not stopping for further engagement. Felicity had put in an appearance, had taken the temperature of the room, and decided it was time to extract herself before she became part of the floor show. [NPC - Alpha Sergeant Gorsk - Security Office, Promenade, Front Ear Station] As the large man seemed to round on her, Gorsk stood her ground, hardly inclined to stand down. [NPC - Major Chromar - Landing Pad B, Deck 29, Front Ear Station] Chromar stepped from the shadows to stand at the edge of stack of cargo. He watched as his contact seemed to suspiciously be searching for something. The Romulan rolled his eyes before he spoke aloud. "I'll send you the coordinates," he said breaking the silence. "The usual price, no questions as per our arrangement. He pressed a single button on a small padd and soon a chime was heard. The Edosian raised his padd and examined the information. "This one's over thirty years old," he commented. "It shouldn't be a problem. The price, however...."Chromar stepped into view as he stared at the Edosian. "Careful, Urex. You're starting to sound like a Ferengi.""Perhaps you can find a Ferengi to do this job, then," the Edosian responded. The Romulan tilted his head slightly with a shrug. "You've never disappointed me before, Urex," Chromar mused. He then nodded slightly. "Very well. If all goes as planned, I'll see to it that you receive your bonus." The Edosian chuckled and turned to take his leave. Chromar simply watched him for a few more seconds before shrinking back into the shadows. Chromar was certainly a man of his word. He'd see to it that Urex got exactly what he deserved.
[NPC - Colonel Helena Vasser - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] As her conversations continued, Vasser began to wonder exactly what the connection was between Jett and Ellis. Vasser could understand the predicament of being a Starship Captain. It could be very isolating, but she did hope that Felicity knew that she could do much better than that. It was a fleeting thought, and not one that Helena would allow to take root. Overall, it was hardly any of her business. More than anything she respected Ellis' right to privacy when it came to her personal affairs. No sooner had her musings ended had the pair seemed to take their leave. In fact Ellis seemed to pass by and offered a brief exchange of pleasantries. "Captain," she replied simply. It was brief and hardly said much, but it said enough. The next move was clearly Ellis'. Vasser just had to make sure that she was ready for it. She made a mental note to check in with Chromar to make certain that he was on top of things as he always professed to be. Vasser's observations did bring her attention to something else, however. She noticed a table of her officers had risen out of their seats. She traced their eyes and saw that they were cast in the direction of the bar, where Costa was standing. Her brow furrowed as she tried to ascertain exactly what was going on. "Excuse me a moment, please," she said to the gentleman she'd been speaking with. Vasser moved to intercept the officers from that table, cutting them off several meters before the bar. En route, her eyes did discover someone on the floor at Costa's feet. "You will stand down," Vasser said as she stepped in front of the approaching group of Alliance officers. The smile never left her face as her hands were clasped behind her back. The officers stood there, perplexed about how to proceed. One of them, started to move forward again, and Vasser quickly held him with a glare, the smile instantly vacant. "I understand your pride and the need for showing solidarity, but if you break rank and cause a scene, the only thing that'll be standing together is you lot while you scrub the reclamation unit spotless with your own toothbrushes. Am I clear?"The group seemed to silently mull it over with a few glances, before the one that had stepped forward retreated back with the others. "You're all to return to your quarters, immediately," Vasser said. There were a couple of groans of protest, but Vasser wouldn't hear it. "Dismissed." The group didn't question it any further, but turned to take their leave. It was one fire put out. She knew that she still had to deal with the person that was lying at Costa's feet and the punishment would be severe. Costa may be a wild card, but she was confident the freighter captain wouldn't have attacked unless she'd been provoked. Of course, Vasser wasn't aware of all of the officers that may have seen what had gone down, especially the one that was now glaring at Alex Hust from across the room.

She glanced back into the bar to see a number of people milling about, but couldn't tell exactly what had happened. Oh Prophets, I'm terrible at this. Look, speak to Lt. Harmon; he's heading this up. The short answer is, people who are trained for this kind of thing are too obvious.

[Intelligence Office]Harmon despised the Captains dismissiveness and trivialisation of Jetts crimes.

Rio snickered as Sven read the riot act to Gorsk, completely agreeing with what he was saying, and then flat-out gawffing when the PADD went flying. "Oopsie!" Lord, she hated entitled people, and she was thinking that the drunk was well-rid of them. Still, she was a bit weary of dodging hands, and finally caught the one that he was using to try to pat her head. "Here, big fella..." Using a damp towel, she wiped his hand off as best she could, then let it go. "All right, pat away, just don't get fresh."It was easier to tolerate the patting than to dodge it, and there was no harm besides annoying her as she finished cleaning him up. Then there was a well-needed distraction... [Intelligence Office]

She didn't have the rank to lock down a ship, but they could certainly keep it from going anywhere. "That Jett guy is creative," she told Sven, "but I can't imagine that he'd use lethal force." As a Doctor, it was probably quite bad to enjoy seeing someone have physical pain inflicted upon them. As a crewmember, it likely also wasn't the best idea to be encouraging acts of violence that could end up hurting his main source of income. As a patron in the bar, it wasn't a good idea to get kicked out, and as someone who did business in the Federation, it probably wasn't the greatest idea to get arrested. All of these were true statements. All of them didn't matter to Alex right now. As he heard the sound of skin-on-skin, he was quite easily able to determine it was a slap, and that made his blood boil even more. The disrespect, even beyond the misogynistic and overt tendencies already displayed, made Alex wonder just how many bones Costa was about to break. He'd guess many. Physical recovery in weeks, emotional and mental in quite a bit longer. When she admitted the attack's type, as well as joked about his health, he snorted a bit from his nose before responding. "Im mowteng wa Belówtwala?" he asked, a tone of sincerity. He was still a Doctor, and if the man needed him to live, he'd save him. He wasn't a savage after all. Unfortunately, calmer heads had prevailed. Vasser was back, and her presence brought the Alliance dogs to heel like a leash that'd lost all slack suddenly. It was disappointing... Alex had quite been looking forward to a fight. Regardless of his disappointment, logically it wasn't a good idea - Costa and Alex were outnumbered, and their deep-space influenced builds didn't stack up well against some of those across. What he did notice, however, is how obedient they were to Vasser. Was it out of training, fear of discipline, or something else? More information for the puzzle. Although many of the Alliance were now heading toward the exit, Alex kept a close eye on the same one he'd spotted first - not blinking, not relaxing his stance, still standing. He didn't stare right at the man - to do so would take away the man's ability to walk away fully. You did not challenge the bear - you allowed the opportunity to disengage without dishonor. Regardless, he still kept a close eye in the vicinity, looking toward and past the man. Didn't mean he also didn't have a look in his eyes of challenge, should the man decide to wade himself deeper into Vasser's meat grinder. It seemed, however, that much action was likely over. Starfleet was here - a quick glance to the collar belay senior enlisted. "Chief," he nodded to the man, but not looking at him. "Jus' some diplomatic relations, s'all."

[NPC - Xyla - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Frustrated did little to described the Deltan's mood. It seemed that Chromar was constantly making a habit of taking her for granted. It was becoming more and more obvious that his first obligation was always to the job. He was insistent on keeping their relationship a secret, and he seemed to be under the impression that she would always be waiting at his beck and call. Well, Xyla aimed to prove him wrong tonight. As she entered the bar, she saw a number of Alliance soldiers, all clad in the uniform just like Chromar's. Though, her initial scan of the room revealed that he wasn't there. Yet, her eyes did fall on something, perhaps even more intriguing. His dark hair, his greenish blue-skin, those antennae. He was such an amalgam of beauty. Xyla continued to approach, and as she neared him her smile only broadened. "You're looking for someone, aren't you?" she asked. She shrugged nonchalantly as she moved closer. "If so, shame on them for making you wait.

[NPC - Zakdorn - Security Office] The Zakdorn was helped upright once again without actually hitting the ground. Sven turned once again, a sour look upon his face. He felt anger bubble up in his stomach. He very much wanted to deck Grosk. After a moment, he composed himself, "You know, he would be in my custody if I had arrested him," he said emphasizing a few of the words, "But as you can clearly see, he has not been. But then, there was no predicting what a desperate person might do. [NPC - Alpha Sergeant Gorsk - Security Office -> Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Gorsk listened as Sven went on his tirade. It was pitiful, if she were honest. The Federation claimed to be so altruistic, but from what she'd seen they were petty and flippant. Perhaps it was a result of the war, either way she wasn't impressed. At least Klingons said what they meant. Her eyes shifted briefly to the other security officer, the woman as she seemed to find this somewhat amusing. She made no attempt to catch the PADD, instead allowing it to clatter to the floor. The Na'kuhl woman thought of making further statements, but it was obvious her breath would be wasted on this lot. It seemed that fate intervened anyway as they got some sort of communication about their computer core being infiltrated. It seemed reasonable considering everything she had observed. Suddenly, her own communicator chirped. Gorsk lifted her hand to speak into her communicator. "Gorsk, here. Go.=/\= "Alpha Sergeant, we are receiving a Priority-1 Transmission, Code 3." =/\= Gorsk's eyes appeared to widen slightly. "I will notify the colonel. Commence with procedures to disembark. Gorsk wasted no time on the others in the room, instead, turning to leave the Security Office, almost breaking into a run as soon as she hit the doors. She raced across the promenade, avoiding most obstacles, but there was a time or two that pedestrians didn't move quickly enough, which led to their shoulders colliding. Regardless, she didn't break her stride. As she reached the Blue Beta Bar, she shifted her body to move through the crowd until she reached Colonel Vasser. She only paused a moment, realizing she had clearly missed a great deal. "Excuse me, Colonel," she said as she leaned close to quietly bring Vasser up to speed.

But she also watched, her pulse slowing again, as the woman dealt with her people and sent them all off packing. She was every inch what a proper Hed should be. Minus, of course, the filthy language. Also missing the daggers the man in the corner was shooting her doctor, she turned back to the bar to pick up her glass again, assuming the bulk of the danger was over. She raised her glass in a toast toward Vasser, repeating their gesture from earlier, and drained it. If there was no more fighting or deals to be had in the Blue Beta then Costa had business elsewhere. [NPC - SCPO Melihn Ryah - Promenade] Ryah blew out a breath and pursed her lips to one side. [NPC - Colonel Helena Vasser - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Vasser then heard Hust ask if her own soldier the one that seemed to have started all of this needed a doctor. Her eyes narrowed as she moved closer towards the bar. A few groans seemed to escape his lips as he started to pick himself up. He barely made it to his knees by the time Vasser reached him. She raised her foot and placed it on the man's back, and started to push down. "Oh, no no no. You stay right there," Vasser said coolly. The man still woozy from the brief beating he'd taken at Costa's hand seemed literally cave to the pressure as he body fell back to the floor. "I don't care what you were before, but what you're supposed to be now, is a soldier. And that means discipline. The only fight you ever pick, is the one I tell you. Are we clear?" Vasser asked. It was obvious that more eyes were now cast in her direction. What was meant to be good a clear show of good will had turned into this spectacle. There was a part of Vasser that wished the man beneath her boot was literally a bug so that she could squash him. Hust then made mention of Chief Melihn's arrival, and began to explain the situation as diplomatic relations. "Yes, Mr. Hust is right," Vasser agreed. "Diplomatic relations. Vasser took a deep breath before she continued. She raised her voice a bit more so that the rest of her remaining officers could hear her. "Aboard this station, every Alliance officer is a diplomat. And our policy is to respect the local laws at all times." Vasser then turned towards Chief Melihn. "This man assaulted Captain Costa. If I'm not mistaken, protocol states that he be taken into custody while you conclude your investigation. The Nyberrite Alliance will be in full compliance with no expectation of special treatment. You also have our full cooperation."With that, Vasser finally removed her foot from the man's back. She barely had time to take a breath as Gorsk appeared at her side. The colonel leaned over to allow the Na'kuhl to whisper her report. Vasser's eyes widened. "My apologies, Chief. My ship just received a distress call from one of our clients stating they are under attack. The station's records should verify the call. Major Chromar will remain on board with these officers until we return. He speaks for the Alliance until then."Vasser hardly missed a beat as she raised her hand to speak into her communicator. "Vasser to Soteria. Two to transport, directly to the Bridge." The familiar whine of the transporter beam sounded causing the colonel and her sergeant to disappear.

There was even some commotion where that Vasser woman seemed to intervene. Kova found herself watching with a bit of intrigue at how quickly she seemed to diffuse her own troops. Kova couldn't help but wonder how she demanded such obedience. There were only so many things that fueled that sort of power: faith, leverage, and fear seemed to top that list. Kova stood aside as several of them marched past her. There didn't even seem to be much in the way of those soldiers muttering under their breath either. Perhaps they simply knew not to do so in public. She finally tore her eyes away from the spectacle, still turning over Melihn's offer... or orders, rather. It hadn't sounded like much of a negotiation. However, she hadn't said when she needed to report to Lt. Harmon's office. Her eyes turned to seek out Shavan once more. Perhaps she could squeeze in one more drink before she did as Ryah asked. However, when her eyes found Shavan, it became obvious that he wasn't alone. The Andorian started to make her way back towards Shavan, and the Deltan that was there with him. Deltans could be very persuasive when it came to winning someone's attention, and Kova doubted she was Starfleet. Kova cleared her throat as she approached. "Hi," she said distantly to Xyla. Her eyes then shifted to Shavan. "So... it looks like I have to work tonight after all. I'll... leave you with your friend here. We can catch up later."Kova's eyes turned on the Deltan and her devilish smile. The Andorian rolled her eyes and looked towards Shavan once more. The probabilty of her being arrested herself would likely increase if she hung around that Deltan for much longer. Of course, perhaps Shavan had found the trouble he'd been looking for after all. Kova hardly said anything more as she turned to take her leave.

Still, she was a bit weary of dodging hands, and finally caught the one that he was using to try to pat her head. "Here, big fella..." "Lieutenant Harmon to Security. I'm issuing an immediate order for the arrest of Thomas Jett for breach of the Espionage Act. Last known location is the Computer Core. Make sure you bring sufficient backup to prevent his escape. Lock down his ship. I will come question him in the Brig once he is apprehended. Bring him in alive, but use whatever means necessary to ensure his capture." He hoped they would be able to catch him. "Jett?" What the heck? Rio had done some training with the guy and he was a little unorthodox, but he hardly seemed a traitor. "I'm good to go, this guy can sleep his drunk off." She didn't have the rank to lock down a ship, but they could certainly keep it from going anywhere. "That Jett guy is creative," she told Sven, "but I can't imagine that he'd use lethal force." But then, there was no predicting what a desperate person might do. Tag: Kaya Som ; Sven Aune ; Matthew Harmon [NPC - Xyla - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Frustrated did little to described the Deltan's mood.

As evident of a lack of cell and force-fields. Nor was he escorted here. He was brought to a quiet place so a medic could work on him without distractions. I find it interesting that you have now, in the past 5 minutes, have tried to defame and slander this man. Why? For an organization that throws mercs into the meat grinder with little care of what happens to them, I'm curious as to why you're putting so much effort into making him out to be some sort of wack job. You know what, don't answer that. I wouldn't expect a low level gopher lackey such as yourself to know the answer to that." He gave the sergeant a hard look. "Star fleet will not get involved with your internal affairs. The door is behind you." he grabbed the PADD off the table. "Oh, and don't forget this." he said tossing it back to her. "Off you pop." he finished with a dismissive wave of his hand. Meanwhile, poor Gloria started to sop the sick off her uniform. She was having a hard time not retching herself. But she managed to get the most of it before taking the clean uniform from Rio. "I'll just go...." she pointed to a bathroom and disappeared to change. Rio snickered as Sven read the riot act to Gorsk, completely agreeing with what he was saying, and then flat-out gawffing when the PADD went flying. "Oopsie!" Lord, she hated entitled people, and she was thinking that the drunk was well-rid of them.

[...] His eyes rolled up into the back of his head and he slumped. She dropped him, rather carelessly. "Ya, mi gut,"[fn]Yes, I'm fine.[/fn] she answered Alex as she stepped over the man's unconscious body and looked up to face whoever else decided to try their luck next. "Im na so gut."[fn]He's not so good.[/fn] She gave the moron a kick with the back of her heel and added aloud, "Im slap mi. Kemang du deting ere wa fight?"[fn]He slapped me. Who does that in a fight?[/fn] It was then that she saw Vasser intercepting the approaching back up. A part of her was disappointed; her blood was singing, waiting for a chorus.
[...] When she admitted the attack's type, as well as joked about his health, he snorted a bit from his nose before responding. "Jus' some diplomatic relations, s'all." [NPC - Colonel Helena Vasser - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Vasser then heard Hust ask if her own soldier the one that seemed to have started all of this needed a doctor.

Interactions Sven -> RioSven -> HarmonGloria -> Rio and SvenSven rolled his eyes as the pushy and rude woman made no attempt to catch her own PADD. She went through an awful lot of trouble to make the Zarkdorn look even worse in the eyes of Star fleet, and he wondered why. What was it that he knew. His hunch, nothing good. Speaking of, the Zarkdon was patting Rio and he shook his head grateful that she was much more laid back and easy going. He really did enjoy working with her. "Thanks for helping." he began when he got a call from Intelligence. Oh, dear God no. For whatever is holy and sacred in this universe not these people... he groaned inwardly. Another pushy bastard. Just like the sergeant woman, but with one major difference. Harmon had a smidgen of clout. A teeny tiny bit. But Sven wondered why the order to arrest Jett didn't come through Ryah. That was a little unusual. He surmised that it must have been important. Only problem was, the allegation was really nebulous. Breach of the espionage act? "Acknowledged." he replied Sven walked over to the terminal behind the desk and pulled up Thomas Jett's dossier. He frowned. "Computer, locate Thomas Jett.""Thomas Jett is located in the main computer core on deck 21."Sven's eye's raised. Either Jett was a complete idiot for making such a mistake as not masking his signature, or.... He tapped his combadge. "Aune to security detachment A, There has been breech in security. Apprehend Thomas Jett. Security detachment B, lock down Thomas Jett's ship."He tapped his combadge again. "Ops, this is lieutenant Aune. There has been a breech in security. Do not allow Thomas Jett's ship to disembark. A security team is on their way."He turned to Rio. "To the core." he nodded to the weapons locker and pulled a phase rifle out of it. At that moment Gloria returned with a new uniform. She glanced at the security officers. "Oh, don't you leave me with this man!"Sven shrugged with a half hearted shrug, "Duty calls."Gloria groaned and started to attend to the drunk. ____ Tags Rio SosaMatthew Harmon

"If so, shame on them for making you wait.[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] It quickly seemed that Chief Melihn had her hands full with whatever drama had begun to brew towards the bar. [Shavan Th’zhaar, Blue Beta Bar] Shavan smiled when Kova said don’t go too far. Keeping to that, he walked a little ways back towards the bar, in time to witness the latest turn of events in the Nyberrite Alliance’s party. He smirked as he watched the freighter captain give a too-handsy guy what was coming to him. But he’d been in enough bar fights not to miss the tension this created. Which he had nothing to do with, and so was all the more reason to resume his earlier plan of leaving for the Spotty Alibi with Kova. Shavan scanned the crowd to see where the Andorian and the security chief had gone, and it wasn’t long before the chief reappeared to bring order. Then someone spoke next to him, and he found himself looking at a very attractive Deltan. “Hey.” He grinned at her, but they weren't alone for long before Kova came back. Apparently only briefly, however. He was a little disappointed, but not too surprised, when she said she had to work. “I.. right. Until next time.” Shavan hoped she wasn’t leaving on account of the newcomer, who after all had only just approached him. He wasn't that easily distracted. At least he didn't think so. But either way.. there were worse people he could be left with. And there was no point in chasing after her if she really did have to leave. He turned back to the Deltan. “I’m not waiting for anyone.” Not anymore, it seemed. Tag Kova Sh'qaleq

Security OfficeRio was truly curious about what, specifically, Jett had done, but that wasn't for her to judge, she just had to do her job, and she hoped it wasn't going to be unpleasant. Still, if he was guilty and desperate, there could be casualties if they didn't play their cards right. Nodding to Sven, she took a phaser that she holstered, and then a rifle as well, going over in her head the specific use of weapons in the Core, where there was all manner of equipment that could prove dangerous if accidentally hit. As the nurse plead with them not to leave, she grinned, glad to be away from the head-patting. "Can we set up some sort of containment field around Jett?" she asked, falling in step with Sven. "What about trying to get a lock on his comm badge?" Although she suspected that Jett was already three steps ahead of them. Tags Sven AuneMatthew Harmon

[NPC - SCPO Melihn Ryah - Promenade] [...] Ryah turned and darted back into the bar, using her small size to her advantage to slip between people and make it to the center of everyone's attention. She raised her voice to a bellow, What's going on here?As a Doctor, it was probably quite bad to enjoy seeing someone have physical pain inflicted upon them. "Vasser to Soteria. Two to transport, directly to the Bridge." The familiar whine of the transporter beam sounded causing the colonel and her sergeant to disappear. [Costa - Blue Beta, Bar]"Na, im gonya live," she responded to Alex's inquiry, not wanting their ship's doctor to bother with Alliance trash, but at the same time not wanting him to feel conflicted, either. Doctors took oaths, similar to those that she'd taken as captain of the Dog, and she understood that they were important. That didn't mean that they weren't open to interpretation, however. If the nakangepensa at their feet wasn't dying, then nobody needed to worry their pretty little heads over him. Her grin at Vasser was positively wolfish when the woman placed her booted foot on the man's back, and pushed him back down. Costa's gaze feasted upon the scene before her, her tongue darting out of her mouth and swiping over her swelling bottom lip, her pulse picking up its pace again. At that point she had no idea whether Vasser was merely attempting to humour her, or if this was indicative of what commonly happened in the Alliance ranks when someone stepped out of line. She was barely able to contain the bark of laughter when Alex Hust declared to the Chief of Security that this was just some diplomatic relations. The Fleet had arrived a little late to the party, and thanks to Vasser, there were no more pounds of flesh to owe. At least, not to Starfleet. The Alliance lackeys might want to exact some of their own revenge on her, but that wasn't likely to happen right at that moment. "S'as the Colonel says, Chief," she said with a nod, but when it became clear that offering up the officer on the floor as sacrifice to the Station gods would be the end of the fun, Costa decided it was time to leave. Before they were kicked out of a bar that was owned by one of her important customers, before Security decided to detain her for questioning. "Be leavin' now ourselves, ya?" She stepped backward, away from the officer who was once again attempting to see himself upright, a somewhat easier feat now that Vasser's boot was gone. Her eyes slid toward Hust, and she cocked her head ever-so-slightly in the direction of the exit.

It contained information for several accounts over which the payment should be spread out. "You look nervous," she said, even though he didn't. "Are you responsible for that security alert, I heard?" Matthew Harmon [Workshop]He hadn't gone to any length to keep his identity or that he worked for Starfleet a secret, but he did avoid advertising it. That Moz was able to find out who he was in such short time showed him that he likely did pick the right person for the job. "I am," he nodded making no effort to deny it or mislead her. "And yes, Starfleet is good for you. Feeling a little safer going in there now?" He took the PADD, had a brief look before looking back at her."Yep, that was me," he smiled. He wasn't sure how she knew of the security alert, certainly not by legal means. Probably had a way into Starfleet comms. It was probably technically a security breach, but he wasn't bothered about her being able to give Station Security the slip or engage in some petty crime. She could be a valuable asset not just now but in the future. He was quite content allowing her to carry on. "I would like to know you know about that though, if you survive, that is," he smiled, in a more genuine, less annoying way than he previously had. "Oh I don't mean to cut off your access. It doesn't bother me. But if you have found a way into our system or comms I'd like to prevent others from getting in. If you help me fix it once we're done I'm happy to give you a backdoor into our system that no one else needs to know about," he offered. "Maybe I could even throw some more latinum your way for work as a 'security consultant' if that helps," he added realising that would be more likely to convince her. "Anyway," he said clapping his hands together enthusiastically. "I have these," he said holding out a very small object in his hand. "The latest Intelligence tech. It will allow us to hear everything and scan your surroundings. They won't see it, and it shouldn't show up on security scans. If they do find it though I'm sure you can play dumb and claim Security must have planted it on you when you had a run in with them earlier today or something," the captain was reluctant to use them. And so was he. However, he was even more reluctant to send an asset in there without any support or way of knowing whats going on. He then took another object out from his pocket. "This one goes in your ear and lets me talk to you. It shouldn't be picked up on sensors either. It is harder to explain away though if they do manage to catch you. But it will make your job easier and allow me to help you much more. You wouldn't be as alone in there," he paused. "However, I won't force you to use it. It is your choice," he offered as a gesture of good will. Normally he wouldn't give such options and choice to his assets, but in this case there wasn't a lot he could do if she decided not to use it or to simply take it out.
