[Workshop][...] "I am," he nodded making no effort to deny it or mislead her. "And yes, Starfleet is good for you. Feeling a little safer going in there now?" He took the PADD, had a brief look before looking back at her. "Yep, that was me," he smiled. He wasn't sure how she knew of the security alert, certainly not by legal means. Probably had a way into Starfleet comms. It was probably technically a security breach, but he wasn't bothered about her being able to give Station Security the slip or engage in some petty crime. She could be a valuable asset not just now but in the future. He was quite content allowing her to carry on. "I would like to know you know about that though, if you survive, that is," he smiled, in a more genuine, less annoying way than he previously had. "Oh I don't mean to cut off your access. It doesn't bother me. But if you have found a way into our system or comms I'd like to prevent others from getting in. If you help me fix it once we're done I'm happy to give you a backdoor into our system that no one else needs to know about," he offered. "Maybe I could even throw some more latinum your way for work as a 'security consultant' if that helps," he added realising that would be more likely to convince her. "Anyway," he said clapping his hands together enthusiastically. "I have these," he said holding out a very small object in his hand. "The latest Intelligence tech. It will allow us to hear everything and scan your surroundings. They won't see it, and it shouldn't show up on security scans. If they do find it though I'm sure you can play dumb and claim Security must have planted it on you when you had a run in with them earlier today or something," the captain was reluctant to use them. And so was he. However, he was even more reluctant to send an asset in there without any support or way of knowing whats going on. He then took another object out from his pocket. "This one goes in your ear and lets me talk to you. It shouldn't be picked up on sensors either. It is harder to explain away though if they do manage to catch you. But it will make your job easier and allow me to help you much more. You wouldn't be as alone in there," he paused. "However, I won't force you to use it. It is your choice," he offered as a gesture of good will. Normally he wouldn't give such options and choice to his assets, but in this case there wasn't a lot he could do if she decided not to use it or to simply take it out. Security OfficeRio was truly curious about what, specifically, Jett had done, but that wasn't for her to judge, she just had to do her job, and she hoped it wasn't going to be unpleasant. Still, if he was guilty and desperate, there could be casualties if they didn't play their cards right. Nodding to Sven, she took a phaser that she holstered, and then a rifle as well, going over in her head the specific use of weapons in the Core, where there was all manner of equipment that could prove dangerous if accidentally hit. As the nurse plead with them not to leave, she grinned, glad to be away from the head-patting. "Can we set up some sort of containment field around Jett?" she asked, falling in step with Sven. "What about trying to get a lock on his comm badge?" Although she suspected that Jett was already three steps ahead of them. Tags Sven Aune Matthew Harmon | Computer Core || lt. Sven Aune || Sven nodded to Rio. "We may need to do that as a last resort, but this whole mess doesn't make sense to me. Why would Jett, a man with a known criminal history fail to cover his tracks and made it so easy for us to find him? And then we get a call from" he finger quoted, "intelligence. I mean, this could be the real deal, so we need to be careful and prepared. If you have to shoot, shoot to stun. Avoid the computer core. They don't react well to phaser fire." he said as they made their way through the station. Finally they stood before the large blast doors. A team of security officers were waiting by it. Sven spoke to them "Entry protocol Alpha," he commanded. The officers got into a formation. "Computer, override lockout, Aune Sierra Tango Romeo, 132" he said. The door opened. He was going to be direct. "Thomas Jett." he said to the room, "You are under arrest by order of the anti-espionage act, Star Fleet charter 156, section 2." He held his phaser, as taught by his combat training, and entered into the room, signifying to Rio to cover him as the rest of the entry team made their way in and took position. Shavan smiled when Kova said don’t go too far. Keeping to that, he walked a little ways back towards the bar, in time to witness the latest turn of events in the Nyberrite Alliance’s party. He smirked as he watched the freighter captain give a too-handsy guy what was coming to him. But he’d been in enough bar fights not to miss the tension this created. Which he had nothing to do with, and so was all the more reason to resume his earlier plan of leaving for the Spotty Alibi with Kova. Shavan scanned the crowd to see where the Andorian and the security chief had gone, and it wasn’t long before the chief reappeared to bring order. Then someone spoke next to him, and he found himself looking at a very attractive Deltan. “Hey.” He grinned at her, but they weren't alone for long before Kova came back. Apparently only briefly, however. He was a little disappointed, but not too surprised, when she said she had to work. “I.. right. Until next time.” Shavan hoped she wasn’t leaving on account of the newcomer, who after all had only just approached him. He wasn't that easily distracted. At least he didn't think so. But either way.. there were worse people he could be left with. And there was no point in chasing after her if she really did have to leave. He turned back to the Deltan. “I’m not waiting for anyone.” Not anymore, it seemed. [NPC - Xyla - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Xyla watched the brief exchange between the Andorian female and the Orion-Andorian male. She gave him some sort of excuse about having to work. From Xyla's point of view, she had to be a fool. Either way, her loss would be Xyla's gain. As the woman left, the greenish-skinned male turned his eyes upon her, announcing that he wasn't waiting on anyone. The declaration caused the smile on her face to broaden a bit more. "Well, how fortunate, since I happen to be right here."Xyla moved, closing the space in between them. She took a deep breath. She wasn't oblivious to their surroundings. The Bar had certainly been the attraction of the evening, but hardly the sort of place to get to know someone better. They were sentiments that Xyla soon shared. "I'm Xyla, by the way," she said sharing her name. She expected him to do the same. "The place is starting to lose some of its charm. Did you want to find some place more... intimate?"

"S'as the Colonel says, Chief," she said with a nod, but when it became clear that offering up the officer on the floor as sacrifice to the Station gods would be the end of the fun, Costa decided it was time to leave. Before they were kicked out of a bar that was owned by one of her important customers, before Security decided to detain her for questioning. "Be leavin' now ourselves, ya?" She stepped backward, away from the officer who was once again attempting to see himself upright, a somewhat easier feat now that Vasser's boot was gone. Her eyes slid toward Hust, and she cocked her head ever-so-slightly in the direction of the exit. [NPC - Major Chromar - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] He was hardly surprised how quickly things had gone to hell. As soon as he put out one fire, he got a communication from Vasser, essentially telling him to do damage control. Hell, it had been what he'd done the entire evening. He'd warned that such a display was too ambitious, but Vasser had wanted to play things out her way. He sighed heavily, thinking that perhaps she'd listen to reason after this. He doubted it, but it was worth hoping. He stood at the top of the mezzanine looking at it all form above. It wasn't a complete break down, but body language alone suggested that people would be talking about the events that had happened here. Some of it good, some of it the opposite. He'd make sure he got the gist of it all by mid-morning. There were a few things that caught his eye of interest, however. One of them being the station's security chief speaking with the Andorian Hacker, Kova Sh'qaleq. She had actually been an asset that Vasser pushed. She likely would have been ideal for intelligence purposes, and she was certainly jaded enough given her ties to Starfleet. Yet, perhaps she was too much of a risk at this point. He did make a mental note to watch her a bit more closely. And then, there was the wild card, Captain Alexa Costa. Chromar began to wonder if Vasser simply craved chaos. Costa was a rogue. And to think that Vasser had considered handing that woman (a term Chromar would definitely use loosely to describe her) a rank similar to his own would have been insane. At this point, it was likely a pipe dream that had been put to rest. It'd likely leave Vasser to choose someone more... sensible. He began to descend the stairs, when something else caught his eye. It was Xyla, and she had actually left her quarters and sought the companionship of someone else. Chromar's eyes narrowed as he focused on whom Xyla was with. His features appeared Andorian, primarily the stalks on his head. However, the dark hair and the greenish skin hinted more at Orion. Chromar made a mental note to find out all he could about Xyla's new... playmate. Perhaps a brief introduction would be warranted in the near future. He continued down the stairs and began to make his way towards the center of this evening's trouble. The officer that Vasser had made quite a show of. He had to applaud her show of power. If any of the men were questioning her before, they likely weren't now. They knew she was former Fleet, but clearly they no longer saw that lingering aura of gentleness any longer. She was their commander, and not one to be questioned. Maneuvering through the crowd, he found himself in the vicinity of the station's security chief. "Chief Melihn Ryah," he said announcing his presence. He had to admit, her file photograph didn't do her true beauty any justice. "Major Chromar. I believe the Colonel left me to tend to any inquiries on her behalf. If there's anything I can do, know that I am at your disposal." He bowed his head slightly, offering a smile. At no point, did he even acknowledge the presence of Costa and that barbarian lackey of hers that had a fetish for carving flesh. Of course, if Mr. Hust ever wanted a job in interrogation rather than medicine... well, he'd be quite the gem in the Alliance.

[NPC - Colonel Helena Vasser - Bridge, NSS Soteria] "Status?" Vasser asked. There were a few sparks exploding from a panel behind her, though her eyes were fixed on the screen before her. "Hull breach on Deck 3. Emergency fields in place. Minor injuries reporting in from all locations. No major casualties, Colonel."Vasser remained in her chair as she heard the report. She took in the information, but still sat stoically in her seat. "Tactical?""Target has been destroyed, ma'am. No life signs in the wreckage. No signs of life pods either. Our client is still in one piece. They report significant damages, inoperable engines and are requesting medical assistance."At that, Vasser finally pushed herself onto her feet. "Dispatch repair and medical teams to the freighter. In the meantime, clear out Storage Bays One and Two. Within the hour, we'll begin to transport their people and cargo aboard the Soteria if necessary. Vasser continued to stare at the screen, her eyes narrowing at the sight of the wreckage. "Also, begin an investigation. Examine the wreckage extensively. I want to know exactly who was aboard that ship, and I want to know how in the hell their disruptors were able to breach our shields."Vasser started to move towards her ready room. "Get it done, people," she said, with no break in her stride as she reached the parting doors.

Harmon ignored her quip about his exhausting-ness. "Oh yes, you certainly have a way with people," he quipped sarcastically as she made what he assumed was some sort of joke about her people skills. He waited as she geared up, taking note of what she chose to pack and wear but making no comment. When she was done he straightened up and prepared to leave. "Very well," he nodded, as she asked for a safe word. "What word would you like to use?"Once that was sorted out he said his goodbyes. "Goodluck, I'll head back to my office and monitor things from there," he said as he exited, figuring it was best they weren't seen leaving at the same time and assuming she wouldn't want to leave him in her workshop alone. "Don't cause too much trouble," he smiled slightly. He knew she hated him, but didn't particularly care. They needed each other now, though he was conscious she only needed him because of a situation he engineered and she was fully aware of that.

Ryah was grateful when Vasser and Costa departed. That seemed like a contentious pair to have in proximity. She turned to look up at the major - Romulan, or part Romulan, as best she could tell - and offered a nod in return. I suppose there's not much else that needs doing here on my part since Costa doesn't seem inclined to press charges. Unless this man needs to spend the night in the brig for a drunk and disorderly. She raised a brow at Chromar. If he's one of yours, I suppose that's up to you now.Ryah clasped her hands behind her back, rocking on her heels.

[Blue Beta Bar]
After he'd gotten confirmation that the unfortunate stain on the fabric of reality would indeed be fine without his intervention, he tossed it from his mind. His job was to keep people alive - not his patient, not his problem. He let the two heads of their respective charges talk as he leaned back on the bar, mostly relaxing now that the fun was all over. At least he hadn't missed it.
When Costa declared that the pair were to head out, he nodded in acknowledgment to Costa before pushing off and moving to follow her out, as Vasser and her prey beamed out and a new unsavory-looking fellow took his place. Was having an anvil dropped on your face part of the recruitment process for the Alliance? Or maybe it was just the air and authority they seemed to carry with them.
Oh, well. More fun for later, if Costa kept having the Dog bump into them later. He'd get his licks in with some of the Alliance folk soon enough. He would remember some of those faces - and have plenty of good taunts if they were too well disciplined when next they met.

[Computer Core] As Tom had that codes in hand, he though of the operation. The Sensors where in a loop in which he should not have been detected. The Operation itself has gone smoothly and he appears to have the codes and was about to leave. The Codes themselves were dangerous to give in the wrong hands and Tom knew that his first priority was to keep the Codes Safe. | Computer Core || lt. Sven Aune || Sven nodded to Rio. Why would Jett, a man with a known criminal history fail to cover his tracks and made it so easy for us to find him? And then we get a call from" he finger quoted, "intelligence. He held his phaser, as taught by his combat training, and entered into the room, signifying to Rio to cover him as the rest of the entry team made their way in and took position. As he heard the message Tom took cover and looked at his pulse pistol. “Damn!” . It took him a second as he looked around and wondered what went wrong. Sensors where on a loop his signal would not have been detected. Unless… My personal signal Jett realized. He did not bother to cover his own personal signal since no one was going to know that he was doing something illegal at this moment at this date. Jett smiled at the irony it means that he is in constant surveillance 24/7 or someone knew what he was up to at this moment. Either situation is not good for him. As he listened to his name and was behind cover he thought maybe there was a way to escape. Taking his PADD out and using the codes he would see the sensor data. HE observed Rio a security officer that he worked in and another one that he recognized but has not formally talked. HE also observed a small squad. Well I’m outnumbered…that’s great He though to himself. He went into the basic in tactics as he figured he had three potential move. Run, Hide or Fight. Since they know his location Hide is out of the question which boils down to Run and Fight. Running would be difficult since the area is completely surrounded and fight might be his last option. As he looked at the position and considered their training he would not be able to fight his way out without casualties he would need to make collateral damage to stand up a fighter’s chance with those numbers. “Crap” . He said to himself. He could hurt them if he tried to fight. Rolling his eyes he said to himself “This is as a short operation as I ‘ve seen” . Jett then yelled “Alright, I’m Coming out.” . Tom slowly walked from hiding with his hands up in the air. As he looked at them. He smiled and said “Section 2? I might be loosing my touch…last time it was Section 1. Y’know my mom said whatever you do in life…try to be the best at it. She would be so disappointed with a Section 2 charge” . Tom smiled as he tried to be a wisecrack on the situation. Before he would say anything Tom smiled and responded. “Yeah…yeah I know the drill drop your weapon. Kick it over and turn around and put your hands in the back and don’t’ resist” Tom slowly put his weapon on the floor kicked it to the direction of the guards. Turned around and put his hands on his back as he waiting for them to cuff him. Tag Sven Aune Rio Sosa

Did you want to find some place more... intimate?"
[NPC - Major Chromar - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] [...] He began to descend the stairs, when something else caught his eye. [...] [Shavan Th’zhaar, Blue Beta Bar] Shavan returned the smile. Here was someone who knew what she wanted, and went for it. Fortunately he was interested in the same thing. “I’m Shavan.” he said, in response to her saying her name. Xyla. He looked into her intense dark eyes and leaned in closer to her. “My thoughts exactly.” he replied to what she said about going somewhere more intimate. Shavan had definitely been here long enough. “Did you have somewhere in mind? Or we could go up to my quarters” He started to lead the way out. Naturally, his attention was focused on Xyla, and he didn’t notice the Romulan man who had been watching them from across the room. Tag Isaiah Quinn

[Computer Core]Holding her breath, Rio prayed that Jett didn't try anything stupid. She genuinely liked and respected the guy, from what she knew of him, and trusted that he had a good explanation, or that this was a mistake. And if he resisted, there were going to be casualties, there was little doubt to that, and that wouldn't be good for any of them...and the outcome would still be the same. Fortunately, maybe for once, but Rio didn't know Jett well enough to judge, he did the right thing and surrendered, putting down his weapon and submitting. Glancing at Sven, she shrugged. "Can I?" Not that it was a triumph, but that respect that made her want to be the one to cuff the man. And as she was applying them, she couldn't help but laugh. "First I help you take them off, then I put them on! We have to stop meeting over handcuffs!" She was firm, but gentle, still remaining wary, just in case. But then, she had every confidence that Sven would take Jett down if he tried to pull anything. And as much as she wanted to ask questions, that wasn't her place. Sven Aune; Thomas Jett

[NPC - SCPO Melihn Ryah - Blue Beta Bar] Well, at least she hadn't had to throw her weight around to stop a fight. Shavan returned the smile. Here was someone who knew what she wanted, and went for it. Fortunately he was interested in the same thing. “I’m Shavan.” he said, in response to her saying her name. Xyla. [NPC - Major Chromar - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Chromar nodded as the security chief informed him that Costa wasn't filing any formal charges. He had to wonder if the woman believed she was doing the colonel a favor in some way. If so, she'd no doubt attempt to collect upon it. Either way, that would be a problem for another time. He nodded slowly. "Well, it is our policy to follow local law when present," Chromar stated. "And Colonel Vasser was very adamant that this gentleman not be an exception to that rule."Chromar turned to face the man. "You will submit to the punishment," Chromar ordered. "I will meet you with an advocate at the time of your scheduled release. Afterwards, you will report back to Nyberr for an official hearing." There was hardly anything the officer could say. He simply stood there, waiting for the punishment to commence. Chromar, however, turned to face Ryah. "Well, if that is all, I will surrender him into your custody. He won't give you any trouble," Chromar said. He cast a side glance at the man who appeared as submissive as ever. He returned his attention to Ryah. "My apologies once more, Chief Melihn, for any inconvenience. The last thing we want is to be a burden to our hosts. If there's ever anything I can do to make it up to you, please... don't hesitate to ask."His eyes casually glanced towards the door, taking in the sight of Xyla leaving with her new friend. Chromar exhaled. "I'm certain that your responsibilities keep you fairly busy, but if time permits, I'd like to invite you to join me for a cup of Deka tea. I received a shipment just last week, straight from the Rakantha Province." Chromar shrugged slightly, hoping he hadn't put the security chief on the spot. "Consider it a standing invitation."

[NPC - Xyla - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Xyla smiled as Shavan introduced himself and made it clear that he felt the same way. He asked if she had some place in mind, but the reigning idea was simply that any place was better than here. He then suggested his own place, which caused the smile on her face to broaden even more. "Actually, your quarters sound perfect," she replied as she started to move along with him, allowing him to lead the way.

Thank you, Major, she said neutrally. All right, you, she added to the drunk. On your feet and walk. We're not going far. Ryah hoped he'd behave since she didn't have restraints on her. If you try anything, I will stun you and drag you to a holding cell. She'd had to do that before when someone thought to take advantage of her petite size. She could sweep his legs, too, but the phaser had the bonus of knocking the prisoner unconscious immediately so that they wouldn't continue to fight. She offered Chromar a short nod before nudging her prisoner toward the exit.

Sven Aune ; Thomas Jett | Computer Core, Deck 9 || lt. Sven Aune | The large man quickly sized up the situation. Jett stood slowly, raising his hands, dropping the weapon and kicking it away. This was going well. And it was the smart thing to do. Rio stepped forward taking the initiative. He nodded his approval and continued to cover her. He nodded to the other security officers signifying to stay on their guard. Jett could do a number of unpredictable things and they needed to be ready. "Yes," he replied to her. It would seem that they have an established report already. He'd have to ask her about that. But now was not the time. ____ Tags Rio SosaThomas Jett

She offered Chromar a short nod before nudging her prisoner toward the exit. [NPC - Major Chromar - Blue Beta Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Chief Melihn replied as politely as protocol dictated, but avoided a definitive answer. He could respect her suspicions. In fact, if she had outright accepted, he may have thought her rather aloof and careless, and thus incapable of securing this station. She then addressed her prisoner for the evening, warning him against causing any trouble. "I can assure you, Chief, there will be no trouble out of this one." Chromar commented, though his words also served as a silent warning for the arrested officer. One that wouldn't be refused. The officer began to march as ordered by the security chief. Chromar watched as they took there leave. He left a mental reminder to review the notes he'd made of Melihn Ryah. He had a feeling that their paths would cross again, hopefully sooner rather than later. His focus then returned to the task at hand, the recruitment drive. Perhaps he could salvage something from all the chaos that had occurred under Vasser's watch. He then proceeded to mix with the crowd, exchanging pleasantries and entertaining among those that remained.
