[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Security Office, Promenade, Front Ear Station] Sorrin was all too quick to point out that it would be illogical to participate in the sting, since all of the security officers had likely been identified already. She simply rolled her eyes. Was the Vulcan too dense to understand sarcasm? He then went on to make a little barb about Andorians being unable to understand simple aspects of espionage. Kova was hardly going to let such an insult stand. She purposefully slammed her hands on her desk and stood as she glared over at the Vulcan. "If you have a point to make, spit it out and stop talking around the issue," Kova remarked. She narrowed his eyes, as he seemed to be referring about P'jem. Her eyes narrowed a bit more as she glared at the Vulcan. "Oh really? Well, let me ask you this? What's the difference between a Vulcan monk and a Vulcan spy? As far as many Andorians were concerned, they could easily be one in the same... along with just about every other Vulcan profession. Sven seemed to have enough as he sent Sorrin on his way to relieve Crewman Ura. Kova watched him retreat from the room before lowering herself back into her seat. Sven went on to reiterate what the Vulcan had said earlier. As he spoke, Kova closed his eyes. Was the Vulcan madness actually contagious. When she got the chance to speak, even after he spoke about an operative being sent, she went on to ask, "I was being sarcastic." A long sigh still left her lips. "I'm just saying... the longer it takes to get under way, the better the chance of things escalating."He went on to ask if she had any leads on the McCallister case. Kova returned her attention back to her computer. Clearly this was Sven's way of getting the day back on track. "Nothing too eventful. Maintained standard surveillance. Compiled the files on the people of interest. I also turned up travel plans that were made for the end of the week. Apparently, under an alias." She forwarded the scans to Sven's computer for him to review.

[ Seamus - Blue Beta] " She definitely has her own little personality, so yes she's lots of fun and yes she is, which has been interesting" Seamus replied happily to Xander's question, loving the opportunity to speak about Ailsa. However when a woman dressed in a long red evening gown approached and gained their attention, Seamus wasn't familiar with her as she then asked for a Risian Sunrise. Although had every confidence in Xander's ability to get the mix right or at least to his liking. Remaining by his side for support and reassurance as it quickly became apparent that she was going to be one of those tough customers, especially when the drink turned to a muddy brown. The Irishman wasn't about to let her get away with it though as Xander had done everything right, so when she then demanded that Seamus make her one, he intervened, determined to not let her knock Xander's confidence. " Oh you have ordered the right drink ... it just needs a few more seconds and an extra tap" he said in a friendly tone, as he tapped the other side of the glass, the brown liquid then began to swirl and separated into the yellow, red and blue of a Blue Beta Risian Sunrise.

Why didn't the mixology book say that? Maybe it did and he missed it? A mental blind spot. He felt a twing of pain run down his arm starting at the disrtuptor wound ending in his finger tips. He sucked in air and flexed his hand giving it a shake. Sherry was oblivious to it. She was too busy scowling at the drink. She addressed Seamus. "Young man, if you have to tap the glass twice, that is not a Risian sunrise. A real sunrise occurs with but a simple and single tap. Only the experts can get it rise with just a breath of air." she said with a smug air. She crossed her legs and pulled out a vapor-less nicotine device at the end of a very long black stick. She popped it into her mouth and took a drag. "Tell me, who trained the lot of you?"Xander's hope deflated. Tags Thea Baker

[ Leanna & Ariana - Park, Deck 6] Lea's gaze lingered on Alieth as Saya reassured them well mainly Judy about how the food would be safe and how it was difficult for her to get into trouble due to her height. Although did become intrigued when Saya then recounted a tale about Alieth getting her horns caught under a table which had led to a noise complaint. Of course there was some sympathy before her friend referred to the noise as that of a dying goose. The mother of two could only imagine what that sounded like, as Max admitted that they had remembered how Ari liked My Little Targ, which was appreciated, before Michael did an impression of what Alieth sounded like. " I didn't but now I do and that's very much appreciated Max" Lea replied, acknowledging her newest Chef, as Ari then became interested in what Michael was doing and decided to copy him. However her mother didn't know whether to laugh or not, momentarily distracted by her daughter's antics, until Michael told them how Alieth liked to encourage the corgi's. She could easily imagine what they got up too as Judy then shared with them about how a certain someone also encouraged Alieth to eat their veggies. " That's something I'll have to look out for when we get a pet". " I won't do that Mama" Ari promised, looking so innocent, before she decided to copy Michael again which resulted in waking her brother. "Looks like Aven wanted to join in too ... but I think it's time for food ... but first I'll get Aven if you all want to go over and help yourselves".Once Aven was awake that was it and so Leanna went over and carefully got him out of the stroller and began to rock him gently until he settled and started to look around.

[Personal Quarters] K'Dex stretched across his bed, burying claws in and out repeatedly as he pulled on various parts of his body. Being as adept as he was in engineering, it surprised others when they noticed that his bed was actually a moss made bed, and that his quarters had a distinct natural/wooded feel in it's utilities and decoration. Few Caitians actually exhibited lifestyle habits shared by Earths large felines, seeing it as a negative stereotype of their race, but K'Dex was one of them.
He crawled off the bed, flicking his tail as he let his mind begin, and prepared himself for his shift. He enjoyed his actual quarters on the station, as he was assigned temporary ones when he was assigned to the Mac. "Computer, display personal task list, work tasks only. And any new assignments or messages." K'Dex purred out. He hadn't had much carried over from the previous day, but he did have a checkup of the emergency battery systems due this week. Terrific. 4 decks worth of cramped space and electrical testing.
[Deck 21, Emergency Batteries] K'Dex pulled the straps of the bag across his back tight as he exited the turbolift for the computer core, and made a sharp right. "Computer, run an automatic status report for deck 21 including lifesigns, update every 5 minutes, and display on main observational console in engineering. I'd hate to end up stuck down here forever with batteries turning me into fried Caitian."
K'Dex wasn't exactly the most safety conscious, but he was a huge fan of automatic programs. If he could solve a problem taking 2 seconds to start a program, he would. K'Dex turned around to the opposite side of the computer core side of the deck to the small station managing the emergency batteries. "And now, computer, begin level 3 diagnostic scan on emergency batteries."
"Level 3 diagnostic will require emergency batteries to be taken offline. Continue?"
"Yes"
"Emergency batteries offline. Diagnostic failed to execute."
"Reason for failure?"
"Unknown."
K'Dex felt his forehead pull into a scrunch. "Have there been failures on any other diagnostics?"
"Negative."
K'Dex bared his teeth slightly in annoyance as he slid the bag on his back around to his front, and pulled out a PADD. "Upload schematic for diagnostic hardware on deck 21 to my work PADD, and add that the diagnostic failed to all future status reports."
Apparently, he would be doing some extra crawling around today. K'Dex grunted, and put his now updated PADD into his bag again before making his way into the jefferies tube that would lead to the chaos this station called Deck 21.

He continued on with what sounded like he was simply trying to patronize her while explaining their need to follow every letter of the law before moving forward and shutting Slilick's place down. There were certainly more expedient ways to get it done, but it was more than apparent that none of those avenues would be explored. "Of course you do," Kova said as she took her seat once more, giving Sven another chance to see if he could read the sarcastic tone in that statement. He then seem to stare at her for a moment before commenting that he thought that she had a very strong since of justice and he admired that. The Andorian scoffed at the notion, shaking her head. "What? Are you trying to insult me?" she responded. Kova did have a moral code that she followed, but she wouldn't call it justice. Years ago, she had been placed outside of the lines, and she honestly felt it was where she operated best. How she had managed to coexist with the security on this station thus far, without another trip to the brig, was a miracle in itself. Or perhaps, it was merely a matter of time. Sven did seem interested in what she had gathered on the McCallister case. She went ahead and recited the information that she had found. He could follow along on his terminal, but she recited the highlights aloud. "Seems the travel moniker was going to be Callan Dru," Kova revealed. "The final destination was Bajor, but it looks as if there's a stop on Chalna. That's a good place to disappear, and they don't have an extradition treaty with the Federation." It was also not the sort of place one would put down roots. Not without looking over your shoulder every waking minute. "The transport is an independent contractor... Cardassian. The captain is beginning to become a regular in this region. Her records pretty clean, she's passed all her recent inspections. There's no need to suspect she's involved in anything illegitimate."Kova looked at the forged credentials of their suspect. "As far as forged credentials go, this one is damn good. It passes the eye test, and it could probably fool most scans as well," the Andorian reported. She knew of only two forgers on the station. One of them definitely wasn't up to the task of putting anything of this quality together. And it wasn't the other's style. This was someone new. Someone clearly looking to make a name for themselves. "Most credentials have 26 points of verification of authenticity. This passes 23 of them. Differentials at that level are often waved off as normal wear and tear."

/!\ Attention /!\
The crew and members went about their daily lives. Working, playing, fixing whatever the task may be. Suddenly, without warning the entire station suffered from a catastrophic failure with absolutely no warning. Nothing on sensors to indicate anything should have happened. EPS conduits have overloaded and exploded in a number of places throughout the station. All primary systems have failed and are down.
All backup systems have failed with the exception of:
- Back up Environmental controls, HVAC and air handling systems are operational.
- Internal communication arrays seem to be operational. External and subspace are down.
- Backup Gravity plating is operational.
- Battery systems, except for core 1A (K’Dex took off line) are operational, but there is a parasitic bleed on them. They are expected to fail within 2 days
Immediate things to notice.
- All lighting has gone out, including back up. There is no alert system.
- All power has gone out.
- EPS conduits have ruptured throughout the station. Some may be on fire.
- Main power core has quenched: all fusion has ceased.
- Computer core has gone off line.
- Any ship attached by umbilical cord has also suffered the same fate as the station.
- Turbolifts and doors no longer function. Potential to be trapped. Doors open or closed are up to player discretion.
- Doors that have a force-field may be magnetically sealed (needs power to break the powerful magnets to open)

Everything that needed power ceased to function leaving the bar in total darkness, except for the eerie blue-green glow of the plasma fire. Tags Thea Baker [ Seamus - Blue Beta] It was quickly becoming apparent that their customer wasn't going to be satisfied with anything that they produced, especially when she cast further judgement and scrutiny on where Seamus had learned his skills. Trying to keep his simmering anger underneath the surface as he refused to give her the satisfaction that she was getting to him, regardless of her offer to give him the number of a man on Risa who could educate them properly. The Irishman simply smiled and decided to just be his usual polite self, ignoring the slight on his character as she didn't know him and clearly had certain tastes. However before he could kindly reject her offer, his attention was on the lights as they began to glow brighter and brighter, until they popped and showered the vicinity with sparks. Wondering what was happening, especially when one of the access panels suddenly exploded, before the lights went out, plunging them in darkness. " Don't worry, the back ups should kick in soon" Seamus offered, counting down the seconds to when the emergency systems would bring the bar back to life. Although when it didn't and their only light source was the colourful glow of the plasma fire, aware that if power wasn't restored soon, they would lose all of the stock in the chillers, freezers and he had to remain calm. " Okay everyone, if we can find some kind of remote light source, I want everyone present to gather in one area ... Xander we need to contain that fire somehow".

Interactions: Xander -> SeamusSherry X. -> Seamus and Xander|Blue Beta Bar and Grill || Xander Mc Grath || Sherry X. |Xander looked down at his feet. He was trying. And it struck him. Before, during his life of crime he didn't give one targ's fart about what people thought of him. Why did he care what this obnoxious woman did? He glanced up and his dark eyes fell upon her. Sherry held her vapor stick between her teeth, then nabbed it between her fingers and pulled it out of her mouth. "Darling, if you think Jubilee is going to impress me, you are sorely wrong. Alas, not everyone can have the luxury of a proper education." she said with a smirk to Seamus. "I'll tell you what, I can get you the number of a man that I know on Risa who can formally educate you both on how to mix a proper drink." She clenched the stick between her dazzling white teeth and placed a small clutch bag upon the counter and popped it open. She began to rifle through it when it happened. The lights in the bar began to glow brighter, and brighter, and brighter until a few popped and rained showers of sparks. Behind Xander and some ways off an access panel exploded open as the EPS conduit ruptured. Then all the power went out. tag Sven Aune |Blue Beta Bar and Grill || Xander McGrath | Sherry X. |Xander watched as the plasma fire burned out of control. It was clear that the emergency power wasn't going to come back online. Nor the fire suppression systems. "Ya." he said to Seamus as he reached under the counter and pulled out a fire extinguisher rated for plasma and a hand torch. "You have a radiation kit I hope?" he asked. A plasma fire was bad enough, but what made them very dangerous was the amount of ionizing radiation they emitted. They would all have to be inoculated. He headed over to the fire and pulled the trigger. A few sweeps and the fire was out casting them all in darkness. He flipped the switch on the hand torch and a beam of light cut through the gloom. Sherry gasped as the lights exploded. "Oh my word! What kind of place do you run here?" she asked in an incredulous voice. "Make no mistake, station command will be hearing from me." She rummaged through her hand bag and pulled out a small personal mirror. She opened it and the little light turned on casting her face in a stark relief as she applied a dark cherry rose lip gloss in a completely unperturbed manner. Tags Thea Baker

[ Ensign Neme, Medical (bio) | Sickbay ]Neme was in the laboratory adjacent to sickbay running an experiment as part of the Kerelia colony project. It was a cooperative effort between medical and engineering, particularly the transporter system to try and identify any infectious pathogens before they could cause anyone problems. Neme stood up in their chair when the electrical begam to hum, then buzz, then wail and with a mighty crack everything went dark. Their first reaction was to turn back to her workbench but they couldn't see a thing. The darkness was complete. There wasn't even the pricks of starlight as sickbay had no portholes. The next action was to test the communicator. =/\= Sickbay to Engineering, we have lost power. Life support seems stable for now. Please respond. =/\= Neme waited.

[ Cwm Eliska Bremmer - Lab near Sickbay, Front Ear Station ]There were boring tasks that needed doing across the station, and general patrol duty was one of those. But, at least, it did keep a certain Crewman Eliska Bremmer moving. And, with that much movement, it meant she could use some ankle weights to help with her regular workouts. After all, there were only so many hours in a day to cram in the amount of exercise she needed on a regular basis to maintain the musculature and cardiovascular capabilities of her high-gravity upbringing. She was in the laboratories just outside of Sickbay when the regular background hum of the station changed in pitch, and then just as all the lights cut out, the whole station seemed to shake under her feet and she was left in pitch-darkness. "Now what," she muttered as she reached for her commbadge. However, when she tapped it, all she got back was the insolent-sounding chirp of a communications failure. "Kurva1," she swore as she realized that the lights were not coming back online. With this realization, the Crewman's training kicked in and her hands went to the bulkhead and she let them slide along until she found what she was looking for: a survival locker. With the ease with which they were designed to be operated, she cracked it open and her hands found a flashlight, which she strapped to her left wrist, and an emergency door lock actuator, and she left the tricorders behind. And, keeping going along her existing patrol path, she started going from door to door. First, she would apply her actuator to release any lock that might be in place, and then she would work the manual override to crack it open, and take a look. The first two were empty, but when she got to the next one, it turns out there was someone in there, and instead of satisfying herself with just looking through the door, she forced it open even wider. "Hey, you all right in there?"

[ Ensign Neme, Medical (bio) | Sickbay ]No reply came from Neme's combadge, not at first. What they did hear was rattling around in sickbay. With the recent unrest on the ship, Neme slipped across the room to post up just inside the door. It wasn't long before the light of Bremmer's flashlight was passing along the floor, casting long shadows. "I am not injured," came Neme's reply to Bremmer. "I am attempting to make contact with Engineering." And just then, Engineering came through. The voice on the other end was in a state of alarm. =/\= Engineering, Sickbay! We have station-wide power failures! Bloody everything is down! Just- just- stay put! =/\=The communication didn't exactly fill Neme with confidence that anything at all was under control. They looked to Bremmer in the dark, their features uplit dramatically from the flashlight. Neme cocked an eyebrow. "I hardly think that's the best use of resources. You and I in particular."
