[Shavan Th’zhaar - Weapons Locker -> Corridor]
As there was no real need for a science officer, or more people on the cramped bridge during the actual fight, Shavan would assist security with defending the ship. After taking a weapon and making all other necessary preparations, he quickly moved to take a position outside the port cargo bay. Others were doing the same; the defenses were in place.
Now all that was left to do was wait. Shavan stood still, listening hard for the first signs of attack, phaser rifle ready.

[ NPC - Glinn Uleya Tarlek - Flight Deck, Pirate Raider Cutthroat ]Part of Cutthroat's captain had hoped this Medici would try to make a fight of it, try to run, try to call for help. Of course, taking a ship intact was always better but she was getting tired of merchant crews meekly coming to a stop as she would order them to. And what was left of her crew was also spoiling to let off some steam, as it was coming to the end of their run and they'd yet to get some action in. So, even if the crew was going to just let them run roughshod over them, it would go hard for them all right. Cutthroat's helmsman knew his business, and he did not need any additional orders to drop out of warp at the same time as their quarry, and he knew exactly where to go, swooping over the freighter to bring their boarding lock in line with the entry port that had been specified in the ultimatum. It was all part of a drill so far as he was concerned; no derring-do, no improvisation, just follow the steps and make it happen. He was no stranger to working with pirate bands, but the Scalpers, they were good; no slapdash operations for them, but instead just solid work and minimal risk.
[ LT(JG) Joshua Niles - Bridge, Converted Merchant Medici ]As the raider was coming into position, moving purposefully towards their boarding position precisely as they had announced they would, Niles's hands clenched into fists over his board then relaxed. This wasn't his first action, not anymore, but he still felt a degree of trepidation he could not hide... and the clarity he experienced when facing the Talorians returned, but now he was ready to expect the cold ruthlessness that would be washing over him when they would come to grips. =M= "Security teams, boarding is imminent. Lay low and hold your fire until the entire party is aboard."=M= This was the last order he would give to the personnel who was responsible to handle the direct assault, unless things would go sideways; Commander Harmon had gone to join those teams and he would be in a position to deal with most eventualities on the spot. And then, Medici shuddered as Cutthroat settled in at her side achieved a hard lock to the port side, Number 3 cargo lock with an old-fashioned docking coupling and clamps that would not have been out of place in a docking berth meant for a Galaxy-class starship locked onto Medici to fasten her in place and prevent her from breaking away. That much was fully expected, so far as he was concerned; it was part of the reported operational pattern for the Scalpers, and done with a military precision. In a way, it was reassuring so far as Niles was concerned; as the old saying went, amateurs were dangerous but professionals were predictable. "They've got a hard seal," Caorc found himself reporting, somewhat uselessly. Clearly, the Tellarite was less than comfortable with that kind of operation, and from where he sat in the First Officer's pit, Niles was right there with him. This was not the sort of engagement he had trained for, but at this point, all he could do was hope that the plans the Skipper and he devised and drilled the crew for would be good enough... "Miss Sh'qaleq, you know what you need to do; tractor beams and transport inhibitors are released to your console."And now, all the young Lieutenant (Junior Grade) could do was wait for things to happen and let others handle the specifics of the engagement... And that proved to be quite the challenge!
[ NPC - Glinn Uleya Tarlek - Flight Deck, Pirate Raider Cutthroat ]The boarding bay on Cutthroat had started its life as a mere cargo bay, but now it was set up as a launching point to assault other ships. Its wall were lined with weapons racks, breaching tools, restraints, vacuum suits and cargo transfer equipment. All the things pirates may need to do their job when taking another vessel. And the eight who were preparing to storm across the docking tube were a mixed bunch. They were led by a Cardassian junior officer and a grizzled sergeant, but the rest were a mixed bag of disgraced military types and regular criminals who had been selected for their ability to follow orders and exercise extreme brutality as to suitably shock and awe merchant spacers. But, they were also disciplined enough to wait for the readings to come back and wait on either side of the wide inner airlock door in two stacks of four and to wait for the docking clamps to read they were secure, for the seal to be confirmed as solid, for the atmosphere readings to come back... and confirmation the outer door on their prey was indeed unlocked and ready for them. Once all the telltales read as they expected, they made their way through the boarding tube and the outer cargo hatch slid open without argument, but they did not get into the Medici just yet; after all, airlock doors generally needed overriding in order to have both open at the same time... but that wasn't the Scalper way. But first, they affixed heavy struts to Medici's outer door to prevent it being closed behind them, and only then did they get to work with cutting torches on the inner portal and for endless minutes, they carved through the metal. When it was held by but narrow strips of alloy, they emplaced breaching charges and withdrew back to their own bay... And at the Cardassian officer's nod, the sergeant set off the explosives which sent the inner airlock panels screaming across the cargo bay with lethal speed, and with screams in their throats, the boarders finally invaded the Medici.

K'Dex took off on his back legs, legging it to the engineering section, and twisting the large, old door open, only to shut and sealed it behind with, with a lovely old style bar across. As he entered into the area, he bounced into the engine room, taking a quick check on the engine status panel, before he moved to the systems monitoring panel. He missed the federation style of putting every program and monitoring capability in just one console, versus going from panel to panel, especially in the cramped quarters here. =/\= "K'Dex to Bridge, all systems still a go. Engineering sealed, remote transporter command ready."=/\= K'Dex took some time to monitor the sensor reports, and saw that there was a hard lock being established on the hull. That could be highly irritating to fix. He began to prepare a breach fix kit.

[Matthew Harmon - Mess Hall -> Bridge]
Mabel affirmed that she was rarely so far from Eastman, as Harmon had presumed. It was surprising to him that she had been assigned to this mission. It was well known that the Commander trusted her assistant greatly, however Harmon had assumed that she trusted Commander Baker as well so it was odd to him that Mabel was here. He did not have time to think more on this or follow up, however, as Boarding Stations was sounded. Kova, despite all her complaining and lack of enthusiasm with...well everything she seemed to do, practically leapt up from her chair to rush to the bridge. Likewise, Shavan quickly left to arm himself. Harmon, however, was in no such rush. As those around him rushed into action in preparation for being boarded, Harmon calmly finished his eggs and sausage, and took a long drink from his flask before leisurely strolling towards the bridge where he stood silently watching what was going on as he leaned against the wall near the door given the lack of space. [NPC - Ens. Mabel Henriksen - Mess Hall -> Bridge, Medici]The ship-wide announcement, in addition to being a call to action, served as a reminder to Mabel that they were here on their own. Sure, she trusted Dr. Baker very much, but they were still on a little freighter, and the acting XO was in Mabel's own graduating class. Taking one last sausage in a napkin, Mabel headed immediately for the bridge, where she soon arrived, huffing and puffing. She stood in the back, leaning against a bulkead as she caught her breath. Then, her little pocket mini-PADD pinged with a message. Good luck. We're standing by. -J.E.W. Just like that, Mabel felt more secure. Those 5 words, and the whimsical initials, were reassurance, that the elderly officer Mabel so greatly respected was watching out for their little ship. "The Mac knows they're here, and they're standing by," she reported, with a clearly relieved tone. [...] A good thirty one minutes had passed since they had initially detected the incoming raider, when Caorc, much more cramped than he'd initially been, reported. "I have life signs; I make it a total of fourteen left in there." "Very well, Mister Caorc," replied Joshua from his position. "Skipper, I'd say that puts us in a pretty good spot to take them. Recommend we let them board then contain their boarders, have Miss Sh'qaleq do her magic and disable their ship remotely, and then" his face showed an expression that was eager yet discipline and a cold and hard flame dancing in his eyes, "Then we take them."
[ NPC - Glinn Uleya Tarlek - Flight Deck, Pirate Raider Cutthroat ]Finally, they had closed to within weapons range, close enough for their less-than-first-rate torpedoes to hit, at least, so the Glinn commanding the raider gestured to her weapons officer to open a channel. =KS= "Medici, this is Kosoter's Scalpers raider Cutthroat. I am Glinn Uleya Tarlek and I have you under my guns. Drop out of warp and come to a full stop. You will not respond to my hail. You will not send a distress call. You will not raise your shields. You will not target what weapons you might have on me. What you will do, you will unlock your centermost port cargo airlock and you will wait to be boarded. Any disobedience or resistance and I will start killing. You have one minute to comply. Cutthroat out."=KS=
[ LT(JG) Joshua Niles - Bridge, Converted Merchant Medici ][...] Though it was not his place to order Lieutenant Aravis to come to a full stop as instructed by the pirates, he did start issuing internal commands, and to take some measures of his own. "Bridge and Engineering transport inhibitors are ready to go," he reported before opening a shipwide channel. =M= "All hands, prepare to receive boarders. Security teams, expect entry at Number 3 port side cargo lock."=M= [Bridge - Medici] [...] " Let's hope we don't need them yet" Thea began as she then looked towards Mabel and Harmon. " I suggest that you both arm yourselves, if you haven't already done so and prepare to take up a defensive position".Then as Caorc informed them about the life signs that he had detected, Thea then agreed with Niles's assessment regarding how it put them in a good position and the recommendation that followed, didn't take her long to process it. Although the expression and cold hard look in his eyes, slightly unnerved her for a moment before she acknowledged him. " Agreed, Mr Niles, make it so and let's not forget why we're here".The latter part of her comment was a reminder to everyone as the Scalpers made their presence known and the image of a female Cardassian appeared on the viewscreen. Her demands were familiar thanks the the numerous reports that she had read and it was now up to her and the crew to play along until they boarded. So as Niles made his report then opened a ship wide channel, Thea then gave her own order. " Ms Aravis, drop out of warp and bring us to a full stop, Mr Niles unlock the port cargo airlock the moment we come to a stop, Ms Sh'qaleq prepare to disable their ship once boarding has been confirmed and everyone else get ready for our guests".[Lt. jg. Aravis - Bridge - Medici] Aravis accepted a hand phaser, checked that it was set to stun and set it on her console, hoping that she wouldn't have to use it. She was qualified, but didn't put in a lot of practice, and had never had to fire a weapon in a real situation. The pilot took a nervous breath as the raiders issued their demands, and her hands trembled slightly. They remained on the helm controls, however, until Dr. Baker gave the command. Yes, ma'am, Aravis responded quietly, slim hands moving over the now familiar controls to halt the thrum of the warp engines and applying the forward thrusters for half a second to bring the unwieldy cargo vessel to a halt. [ LT(JG) Joshua Niles - Bridge, Converted Merchant Medici ][...] =M= "Security teams, boarding is imminent. Lay low and hold your fire until the entire party is aboard."=M= This was the last order he would give to the personnel who was responsible to handle the direct assault, unless things would go sideways; Commander Harmon had gone to join those teams and he would be in a position to deal with most eventualities on the spot. And that proved to be quite the challenge! [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Bridge, Medici] While sitting at her station, and shoving at Caorc for elbow room, Kova continued to work. She wasn't surprised by the amount of faith that Starfleet had placed in her. It was convenient to have someone with her skillset at their disposal, but they had made it all too clear that they didn't appreciate it when those skills were turned upon them. Surely, the name Robyn Banks sounds familiar. She had certainly found herself tied in a cluster of Vulcan legal knots. Clearly, it wasn't pushing the button, but whom you pushed the button for. A sigh escaped her lips as the wait continued. The brief moment of solace came in the form of Harmon crowding near the doorway. It simply meant that he'd be the first to be shot should these marauders make their way past the first line of defense. Because the very next stops would be the Bridge and Engineering. That was Piracy and Plundering 101. Kova didn't expect things to escalate to that point, namely because of herself, but also because of the so-called assurances Mabel was making. Clearly, she was Eastman's fly on the wall. It seemed the executive officer wanted her own eyes and ears in place to run this show. Eventually, Harmon was ushered off to stand closer to where the shooting would likely begin. A slight smirk passed along Kova's lips. Perhaps she should have hit the Dabo tables before leaving the station. Her amusement was short-lived as she gave Caorc a hearty shove as he encroached upon her console yet again. "Really?!" she uttered, her tone annoyed and short. It was then that they found themselves hailed. This had actually been the moment Kova had been waiting for. It seemed to be a nice bonus that the commander of the Cutthroat (talk about a stupid name, but what else could you expect from...) was a Cardassian. As the communication link was established, Kova used it as a means to backchannel her way into their systems. She found their firewalls to be a joke. Though, instead of breaking them down, she modified the code to recognize them as familiar subroutines. She was careful not to poke too hard in their systems, but she soon found everything that she was looking for. No sooner had Tralek ended her transmission that Kova announced, "I'm in."It's not like it was a surprise. She was attentive as her name was mentioned by Niles, who seemed to be just a tad eager for things to go down. Baker then told her to stand by. Kova looked at the human female and then at the single button she needed to push to kick things off. "Yeah... sure," she said. Clearly, no one saw the art in what they were asking her to do. Infiltrating the system, setting up a proxy bridge from her locale, accessing control of their transporters, tractor beams and engines, not to mention faking a level 2 diagnostic which would keep the engines from being activated as a failsafe.... and she was told to stand by? The Andorian was seriously considering modifying the rates for her services.

[Bridge - Medici] From the moment Thea had issued orders and Aravis brought the ship to a full stop, the Skipper knew that the Raiders wouldn't waste precious time in exploring their prize and bringing everyone under their control. However they had plenty of surprises in store for their would be captors and now wasn't the time to just stand about. Still it felt as though time was acting strangely by speeding up then slowing down or perhaps that was just the adrenaline and knowing that all of their training was about to be put into practice. Whatever the reason, Thea was out of her chair and ready to defend the Bridge as the conversation went on around her, with people confirming plans, orders and updates, including Kova and Caorc, before the unmistakable sound of the Cutthroat began their boarding procedure, shaking the Freighter in the process. Biting back the need to curse them as K'Dex sent an acknowledgement that he was in place, followed by a slightly reluctant Kova who sounded as though Thea had grown an extra appendage. " Send a coded acknowledgement to Mr K'Dex, we don't want them to know where he is" she began, then knew what had to be done, now that the Raiders were about to gain entry. " Ms Sh'qaleq, go ahead and do what you need to do, let's see how they like to be messed with"." Everyone else, prepare to defend the Bridge".Yes she was a Healer but when it came down to it, Thea wasn't shy to use a phaser, especially when it came to defending her crew and the operation that they had been tasked to complete.

[ Lt Laurel Andrews - Number 3 Port Side Cargo Bay] After receiving the order from the Bridge to diverge on the number 3 port side cargo lock in preparation for the Pirates arrival. Laurel had grabbed a phaser rifle and led her team in that direction with whispered instructions to remember their training and wait for the signal to engage the enemy. The quick march like walk to their destination was one filled with adrenaline and sheer determination born out of years of training, especially with the mission parameters that they had been given. Then came the silent waiting, noticing that T'Karra one of their newest officer's was doing the usual checking of equipment and position, before the ship shook in response to the impending assault. As Lieutenant Niles gave them further instruction, Laurel acknowledged the order with a double tap of her comm badge, then looked to those with her, aware that Commander Harmon and Lieutenant Th'zhaar had also joined them. " Any minute now ... so let's be prepared to engage" she instructed, knowing that it was now a matter of time before they succeeded in gaining entry. The sound of her heart beating seemed loud in her chest as she raised her weapon and held it securely as the silent countdown began.

[ NPC - Boarding Party! - Medici Cargo Bay and Main Corridor ]
On the heels of the door being blown in, amidst the thunder of the explosion, Cutthroat's boarding party charged into the open space of the cargo bay, screaming wordlessly as they did so. But that was mostly for themselves; generally, no crew had been stupid enough to wait for them in the cargo bay; not when resistance there meant they could fall back to the raider, close their own hatch and break off... and let the bay decompress with everyone in it.
The ones who were used to dealing with pirates would have gathered up in their messhall or locked themselves in their quarters, make things easier for everyone; the stupid ones would try to pick a fight.
But there had been no one to engage them in the cargo bay this time, so they rushed to the door and stacked up on both sides in a way that spoke of regular drills and training; again, they prepared themselves, and once the doors hissed open, the lieutenant in charge called out. "Ganor, your team to engineering! Mine to the Bridge! Go!"
At the man's order, both stacks of four broke into the corridor and Ganor's group, the Cardassian Sergeant, a Nausicaan and two Orions, took a sharp turn to the right towards the engineering section; the lieutenant with his Klingon, Yridian and lone Human, took a left... and immediately knew something was wrong.
Mostly, because they found themselves immediately facing the crew of the ship, armed and ready... and far more of them than they had expected. Which meant, there was but one thing to do... "CHAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!" the lieutenant bellowed as she raised his weapon and opened fire.

[NPC - Ens. Mabel Henriksen - Bridge, Medici]
During her time at the Academy, Mabel had been talked into training with a Type-3 phaser[fn]i.e. the big-boy rifles[/fn] as an elective course. Much to her - and everyone else's - surprise, she was... actually a decent shot, as long as she didn't have to run. She'd walked out of that class with PE credits and a B-.
As such, Mabel stepped in as the last line of defense, kneeling by the door of the bridge, phaser rifle slung over her shoulder. "If they get past everyone else... they'll wish they hadn't," she muttered under her breath, trying to make herself think she was tough.
The young woman knew that she was only here as a last resort, in case the trained security was somehow overwhelmed, but that was fine with her. Shooting a water gun or a paintball gun was one thing. Shooting a real gun at a dummy was okay too. Shooting real people with real weapons... that made her sensitive stomach churn a little.

He had observed and directed special forces teams from a distance and been involved in ship to ship combat, but it hadn't been since the war that he was in close combat himself. Still, he had initially commissioned as a Security Officer and had continued to participate in training which allowed him to remain confident in his abilities and stoic in the face of the incoming danger. "Steady...steady..." he ordered quietly to the group around him as he waited for the borders to get closer. "On my mark...FIRE" he ordered, himself quickly raising his rifle and peering past his cover aiming squarely at the chest of the Cardassian leading the group, hitting him and then continuing to lay down fire at the remaining group.

[Shavan Th’zhaar - Corridor outside Cargo Bay] Apparently getting sent to help with the dirty work was a reward for doing well in combat training. Shavan stayed back, behind most of the security team. He took cover behind the wall of an adjacent corridor that led to engineering, and waited. Inevitably some of the boarders would make it past the first line, and someone would have to catch them. Or turn around and slip aboard the Cutthroat itself. The seal on the doors meant boarding could go both ways. There were a lot of things that he had felt during the journey when thinking about the impending conflict. Anger at those who did nothing but hurt others. Self-loathing for having done the same. Thrill at the danger that made him feel alive. A vicious desire for a fight. A small, instinctive fear that this would be the one he didn’t make it out of. He took a deep breath and pushed it all away. Feeling nothing but a familiar, simple, cold determination to survive and win. The Medici shook with the impact as the enemy ship locked on to them. He heard Lieutenant Andrews tell everyone to be ready. There was an explosion of sound as the cargo bay doors burst open. Commander Harmon gave the call to fire. Weapons went off on both sides; Shavan risked looking around the corner to aim his own, waiting for a clear shot before letting instinct take over, firing on the invaders with cold precision. Shavan saw Harmon hit the Cardassian leader, so he focused on the others that were trying to go this way. A blast from his phaser rifle found its target, and one of them fell. [Shavan Th’zhaar - Corridor outside Cargo Bay] There was an explosion of sound as the cargo bay doors burst open. [Cargo Bay, Medici] After the cacophony of the enemy's entry, T'Karra tracked each pirate as they boarded the ship from the shadowed cover of her storage container. She waited for the first shot from her squad leader to signal the rest of the fireteams were clear to fire, but it never came. When she glanced over at him, she saw the man signaling to hold fire. As the last pirate filed out of the cargo bay, the point man motioned for the rest of her fireteam to bound up towards the doorway. They would flank from the rear then. She approved. The Vulcan understood the principles of close quarters assault; what she couldn't understand was why she could hear her adversaries bellowing their intention to charge in the main corridor. Maybe the they were attempting to capitalize on violence of action now that their element of surprise had been lost. But surely there were better methods of accomplishing this than screaming... Maybe they were hoping it would increase their adrenaline levels and provide them an advantage in combat. Either way, it only took approximately 3.4 seconds of skirmishing with the security team down the corridor before two tattooed Orions backtracked into the cargo bay. Though she was a poor judge of facial expressions, even T'Karra could tell they had been surprised to find resistance upon retreating. Curious. They were quickly incapacitated by a hail of phaser fire and slumped to the ground. T'Karra thumbed the safety on before surging forward along with another enlisted man. They dragged the two immobile Orions into cover adjacent to the second fireteam, securing their wrists and conducting hasty searches. "Negative findings," they both murmured quietly to the lead before returning to their positions. Their primary objective had been accomplished. They had ensured no escaping combatants had vented the atmosphere of the cargo bay and main corridor. Next, they would clear the ship. T'Karra, now closest to the door, took point and waited for her team to stack up. "Blue, blue, blue!" she called out into the corridor and waited for a friendly reply. [ Lt Laurel Andrews - Corridor Outside Port Cargo Bay 3] From the reactions of the Raiders, the element of surprise and having them come across the heavily armed crew from the supposedly defenceless Medici was something that they hadn't anticipated. Which made this even more sweeter when it came to dealing with them and for Laurel it was a case of unleashing the pent up adrenaline and training that had been more vigorous than normal. So as the team dispersed to deal with the Raiders, Laurel counted them as she heard Harmon, before watching him take care of the Cardassian leader, seeing a side of him that she hadn't seen. At least she knew that she could count on him when it mattered, as she moved forward towards the Cargo Bay itself, taking down one of the boarding party in the process, after receiving a hit to her shoulder. Ignoring the pain, Laurel continued, attempting to clear her head, before she reached what was left of the cargo bay doors. Looking around she saw some of the team dealing with two Orions, before she heard the call & recognised the voice behind it. " It's me Crewman, I counted eight in total, we need to make sure that we got them all" she called back, the pain making her feel a little woozy but she just had to fight past it as she double checked her weapon, ready to move off again in pursuit of others.

[Matthew Harmon - Corridor]
The fighting lasted only a few seconds. The pirates managed to get a few shots off but didn't hit anything and were quickly taken by surprise and dealt with. Once it was clear it was over Harmon walked towards the lock and took a sip from his flask. "It's important to stay hydrated," he said casually to a security crewman who gave him an odd look. He followed closely behind Andrews who identified themselves to the other group. =/\= Harmon. Bridge. Enemy boarding party is subdued. We are preparing to breach. =/\="Positions everyone," he ordered, taking up position near the entrance to the pirate ship. "Adil, Fintu. Secure the borders, and make sure no one else tries getting onto the Medici," he ordered a Bolian and Bajoran who nodded and went about dealing with the borders. "T'Karra, Karavet, Dak, Ma, you're with me, we're taking the Bridge. Andrews, Th'zhaar, and the rest of you, you're securing engineering," he stated. "Prepare to breach. Dak, Kerissa, stun grenades." Everyone quickly moved into positions and awaited his order. "Breach!"

[ NPC - Glinn Uleya Tarlek - Flight Deck, Pirate Raider Cutthroat ]From Cutthroat's flight deck, Uleya was pacing. Every time she sent her people to take a prize, she hated the wait between the initial breach and the getting the report from the boarding party. It was generally just a matter of minutes at most; and more often than not, they would get a report within the first sixty seconds, generally to let her know whether things were moving apace and to stand by for further news... But there was nothing. Well, either things were moving just fine, or they were running into some issues and they needed their focus. Though the lack of information was starting to get to her.
[ LT(JG) Joshua Niles - Bridge, Converted Merchant Medici ]The detonation that blew the inner airlock doors was felt even on Medici's cramped Bridge. While his face showed little, there was tension around his eyes, and his knuckles were white as his fingers were curled around the edges of his console and holding on with a death grip. His gaze was fixed upon what passed for internal sensors, and the shrieking of weapons was carrying even through the surreptitiously armoured Bridge door. But when the shooting stopped, he felt his heart do the exact same, and for a moment he forgot to look at his sensors. He knew his ambitions were to achieve a command of his own, and he was flattered he'd been trusted with his current assignment, but to just be along for the ride, to not have his hands on the controls. Hell, in a way he might have preferred being in that hallway trading fire with the pirates than be there, safe and secure and completely out of the action loop. But then, the comms channel chirped, and Commander Harmon reported they had handled the boarders, and were moving on to the counter-boarding phase of the engagement. =M= "Very well, Mister Harmon. Good hunting and mind the doors and corners."=M= That's how they get you, he left unsaid as he gave the message. However, that was not all. The attack on Cutthroat would likely be fast and savage, and over in moments given the element of surprise, but it wouldn't hurt to have a follow-on wave. Who could he spare to take another team over on the heels of the security element? Himself? Unless given leave to go over, that was not his place. "Miss Henriksen, gather up a follow-on wave and make your way to Cutthroat. Your priority is to physically secure their computer core so they can't blow it."With that order given, he turned to the Andorian hacker. So far, she had been performing precisely as she had been expected to, but he needed to be sure things were going to work as to plan. "Miss Sh'qaleq, I need the contents of their databases. Kindly do not let them delete anything."
[ NPC - Glinn Uleya Tarlek - Flight Deck, Pirate Raider Cutthroat ]Uleya Tarlek was still waiting for a report from her boarders, when a series of detonations went off well aft her of her position. What in the world? She was about to call for a report when her weapons officer, one of the two other people left on her flight deck, reported that the ship they had sought to board now had Cutthroat in the grip of their tractor beams, and they had just lost all control of their weapons, shields, communications and transporters. Just as the helmsman reported that all control was gone. Intellectually, they knew what was happening: they were being counter-boarded. Somehow, that fat, slow and myopic freighter and her civilian crew had turned the tables against them. But the shock of it was inhibiting their decision-making process to the point that no one could make any coherent decisions at this time...

[Shavan Th’zhaar - Cargo Bay -> Cutthroat] After all that preparation, it turned out the Scalpers boarding the Medici didn’t stand a chance. The initial confrontation was over fast. Almost disappointingly so. Shavan moved out into the main corridor at the all-clear signal as they went forward with the plans to board and secure the Cutthroat. He quickly got into position as they organized outside the cargo bay doors. Following Harmon’s orders they boarded the ship and split up. Shavan went with the small group tasked with securing Engineering. He walked quietly, keeping alert and ready to defend against those who had stayed behind to guard the Cutthroat. They moved quickly through the corridors and soon breached the doors to Engineering. Tag Joshua Niles Thea Baker Matthew Harmon
