[2nd Lt Shavan Th’zhaar - Bridge, ISS Determined] Shavan listened to the Terrans with icy detachment. The one who spoke eagerly of interrogating Harmon… what he said was true, but oh so predictable. He had to agree with the chief enforcer that there was no need to make an elaborate scheme of it.. if killing one man was all they were after. Plenty of people on the Determined could be tasked with a simple assassination. Shavan’s own dear wife, in particular, came to mind. But really, they were all failing to see the bigger picture. How the Empire has fallen. And so he decided to indulge the Commissioner and be the one to suggest a bolder plan. After all, he wouldn’t have gotten this far without being bold. The greater the risk, the greater the reward. And Terran or not, Shavan did have his sights on some pretty high rewards. “There’s more than just one life here for the taking. The rest of his crew shouldn’t be allowed to escape.. and of course, there’s the question of what happens to Thalaron weapon itself.” A heist to take the plans for the weapon and use it for themselves, carried out while the major players were distracted by this summit, could be worth whatever fragile alliances it would sever. But of course, it wouldn’t do to sound too ambitious too soon. So back to the initial question. “All it would take is an assassin waiting for the opportune moment, and someone else disabling the Nyberrite’s security at the same time, to deal with Harmon and transport him somewhere private.” He looked around as if still considering. “The Phoenix could also have a well-timed accident on its way out. It would be such a shame if they weren’t able to regroup at all.” Shavan paused when the comms channel opened, also not wanting to say more if the Commissioner didn’t want to hear it. [ Ozu Saya - Bijeta] Saya lifted one shoulder in a shrug at the Horta. She knows it would be a lot harder to get what she wants from someone else. I have the best contacts and the best merchandise. She glared down at her panel when the silence stretched into a long minute and there'd been no reply. Muttering a curse, Saya checked the settings and ensured that the comm signal had been received. Making sure her end was muted, Saya said, I think her bitchiness is ignoring me. Blowing out her lips, she leaned forward and unmuted the comms, saying with saccharine sweetness, =B= Hellooo over there! Maybe our comms aren't working? Permission to dock? =B= Anyone who knew her well - not many - knew that the sugary tone was another side of her usual sarcasm. She'd actually found that some people hated it even more than when she was snarky. It was a delicate and often delightful balance.

"This whole summit has me on edge. I wish you wouldn't work with her." The Horta had a true kinship with Saya, and was her closest friend. And the last thing she wanted was to see her hurt, or worse, killed. Tag Ozu Saya[Commissioner Judith Eastman & 1st Lt. Mabel Eastman - Bridge, ISS Determined]Judy listened rather intently. She certainly appreciated the merit of using enhanced interrogation techniques before finishing off this rather miserable thorn in her side. "Answer Ms. Ozu. Don't cut her up, at least not at this juncture, but let's let her think you might. Perhaps that'll get a proper apology out," she instructed, ice cold and seemingly unfeeling. She continued to cast her eyes around the bridge, looking for targets, but decided not to call out anyone in particular. "We should have to catch Mr. Harmon if we are to... harvest, won't we?" she asked rhetorically, eyeing alternatively Aune and the helmsman. "I don't suppose anyone here would care to suggest an approach?" she asked, this time not rhetorical, almost daring them to do it. On a Nyberrite station like Front Ear, security was bound to be lax. They could plan to snatch Harmon at just about any location, and with any number of methods.

Tag Sven Aune , Shavan Th'zhaar , Ozu Saya [ Ozu Saya - Bijeta] Saya's snarky grin softened into a genuine smile at her friend and partner. They did walk a fine line, but she hoped that the end result would be worth it. Muting the comm briefly again, she said, I know. It's a disaster waiting to happen. I don't think there's any way these two groups can work together. She turned her attention back to the comm as Eastman's protege's voice came through. Saya snorted at the weak insult, then her eyebrow popped up when Eastman herself spoke and asked about explosives. Interesting. Deciding that she was tired of waiting around, Saya toggled the comm again and also started typing in orders to the helm. =B= I might be able to help with that, but I'd rather discuss all business matters in person. I'm coming around to approach the shuttlebay. Ozu out. =B= The small ship dropped behind the larger vessel and lined up with the shuttlebay doors. Saya was confident in her piloting skills and the maneuverability of her ship that if Eastman really decided to continue this game and not open the doors, she'd be able to pull up and not put a giant hole in the side of her bitchiness' ship. Probably.

[Matt Harmon - Ready Room, Phoenix]"Maybe I'm just well rested for a change," he joked back at Kova with a smile. The two had built a surprisingly good rapport over time, and he trusted her loyalty completely, though he was careful not to take it for granted. Not long after, Butch arrived, and Matt noticed the blood streaks on his body. As distasteful as it was, Butch was good at his job, and Matt needed all the help he could get. A few moments later Chloe Hudson entered, smiling at Matt and winked at Kova, completing the small group. With the exception of Vitath, the Romulan ex-soldier who was currently on duty on the bridge, these three were his closest circle on the Phoenix. "Thank you all for coming," he said, pausing and taking a deep breath for a moment. "As much as I love this little ship, she's served as well, she isn't going to be enough to really take on the Commissioner's forces. We can't compete with ships like the Determined and if we're ever going to finally and totally defeat her, we're likely to need to fight a real, pitched battle sooner or later," with the little exposition out of the way, he grinned mischievously. "Since we can't beat her in a battle, I figured why not just take her ride? Not only will we gain a bigger ship, but we'll gain a far more powerful ship than any we have in our arsenal," he said, trying to sell the plan, knowing it was incredibly risky, "And more importantly, it'll piss her off and humiliate her," he added. "The shipment of Anesthizine we captured last week, I'm hoping we can use that to incapacitate most of her crew. A lot of them are conscripts, we might even be able to recruit a few. I also have someone slipping us information. She's meeting with them now I think, and will hopefully have some more for us. My spy on Front Ear...or whatever stupid name they gave the station, has given me a few names of people who might be willing to help us out." He was a little excited, eager even, so he slowed down for a moment. "But I want to hear what you all think. I trust you, and you know how much I value your skills and your trust in me. I need your help planning this, and of course pulling it off." It was an earnest plea, and he suspected they'd be sceptical, oppositional even, but hopefully he could convince them.

Finally he stopped talking after taking a few moments to butter them all up with how important their input was him. Butch just gave a casual shrug. "Better ship, bigger medlab, more equipment... I'm in." Maybe he would finally get to test that cross-species multi-organ transplant theory he'd been working on... "Now, just so we're all on the same page... What is the percentage of acceptable casualties for the other side? From those we aren't able to recruit, of course... " It was important information for everyone to know. If Harmon was insisting on minimal casualties, then Butch would need to set about synthesizing as many nonlethal toxins and paralytics for the rest of the crew to use during the shipjacking. Hopefully he wasn't expecting everything to be ready in a matter of hours...

Hopefully he wasn't expecting everything to be ready in a matter of hours... [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Ready Room, Phoenix] Harmon responded suggesting that he was well-rested, but Kova was convinced it was more than that. He wasn't really the sort to ever be at rest. Perhaps it was the nature of the work they did. It didn't ever really allow for one to truly let their guard down. Thus, she held to her initial thoughts... that being that he had something in mind. As the others began to show up, both Butch and Chloe, Harmon's lips began to loosen. Kova was attentive as Harmon began to speak, first of all speaking all of his pleasantries. As he did so, Kova's eyes wondered over the other two. First, the Bajoran whom clearly hadn't (fully) washed up before coming, and at Chloe. The wink certainly hadn't gone unnoticed. The Andorian's lips curled slightly, just as Harmon made his big reveal. "You want the Determined?" Kova asked, making certain she had heard Harmon right. She took a deep breath, thinking, even as Butch stated that he was in. Had he even thought about it, or did he simply want more space to carve up bodies? Kova looked around the room and then back at Harmon. "We may be able to pull it off... without a body count." Her eyes shifted to Butch, hoping he wouldn't be too broken up about it. Kova took a deep breath. "We could use the Anesthizine... access the environmental ports from outside the ship. As long as no one objects to a space walk,". Kova shrugged. "I just don't see any other way for us to access the Determined. They sure as hell aren't going to let us walk in through the airlock. And we don't want a scuffle to get Nyberrite Security invovled. But once they're down, a small team could secure the bodies in a hold and sort them out later." Kova's eyes moved to Butch once again. "Alive."Kova looked to Chloe and then to Harmon. "And what about the other reason for coming to this station?" Kova asked. "You can't let those weapons fall into her hands."

[Matthew Harmon - Ready Room, Phoenix]"I expect it is likely there will be some fatalities," he conceded, "However, I don't want any more than is absolutely necessary," he said looking directly at Butch.
Kova then spoke offering her suggestions. A spacewalk. He hadn't considered that angle. It would be tricky but she was right, it would avoid the many complications of trying to waltz through the airlock. He leaned back in his chair and stroked his beard, contemplating the idea for a moment. "I hadn't considered that...how many people do you think a spacewalk team would need?" he wondered if they would have enough EV suits, if not they would have to find some from the Nyberrite's station. "We'll need to find a way to jam their sensors too most likely. We don't want them to know we're coming until it's too late."
"As for the weapons, there's no way the Nyberrite's let them stand. No matter how much we piss them off here today, they'll have to work with us to stop the Kurjarians. I'll negotiate something with the Nyberrite's, assure them we are still committed to destroying these weapons," he confirmed. "I know I don't need to tell you all that the Commissioner's only problem with these weapons is she doesn't posses them. I'm sure she's scheming on just how to manipulate these negotiations to get us to lower our guard and allow her to get into a possession to seize the weapons for herself."

[Phoenix, Ready Room - Doctor Paawin Riyo ("Butch")]Butch gave an exacerbated sigh as Kova, once again, made it clear how she felt about his methods. Was it really such a bad thing to make useless people useful again? How did she think he was able to create a tranquilizer that worked on both Klingons and Cardassians? Surely no living specimen - er, person - of either species would have consented to giving him the samples he needed. At least Harmon was a more practical sort, accepting that some casualties were likely inevitable. Though he, too, insisted they be minimal. Seriously, how barbaric did they think he was? He never took more than was medically necessary! As they began to discuss the details of the potential spacewalk, he decided to chime in and remind them why they kept him around. "Let me know how many will be boarding. I'll supply darts and hyposprays with a sedative that should work on anyone you find over there, just in case something goes wrong with the Anesthizine. No need for phaser fire to alert anyone, Nyberrite or otherwise." When it came to the cause of this summit... Well, that was not his area of expertise. Should the Kurjarians have those weapons? No, certainly not, but he had no ability to influence that. So he just focused on the task that he could help with.

Since being adopted by Judy at such a young age, she had gotten used to the trappings of power, and developed an absurd self-confidence to match. =A= "I do hope you have something useful for us," =A= Judy added, calm and collected but just as venomous. Then, another thought crossed her mind. Perhaps Ms. Ozu might know a thing or two that could help. As her helmsman had suggested, they could destroy the Phoenix. =A= "I don't suppose you've come across any shipments of explosives lately, by chance?" =A=
Tag Sven Aune , Shavan Th'zhaar , Ozu Saya [ Ozu Saya - Bijeta] Saya's snarky grin softened into a genuine smile at her friend and partner. Probably.
Tag Sven Aune and Judith Eastman |Bijeta || Opal Peridot| "No, there isn't" the Horta agreed. "They will be at each other throats in no time. I just hope we can get out of here before they try to kill each other." She watched as Saya brought her ship around. Hopefully Judy would stop playing her little games and open the doors. But Opal knew that this was only the beginning. Tag Ozu Saya

I'm sure she's scheming on just how to manipulate these negotiations to get us to lower our guard and allow her to get into a possession to seize the weapons for herself." [Phoenix, Ready Room - Doctor Paawin Riyo ("Butch")][...] As they began to discuss the details of the potential spacewalk, he decided to chime in and remind them why they kept him around. [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Ready Room, Phoenix ] Harmon was willing to concede that there would be casualties, but he did state that they should be limited to only what was necessary. Kova could understand and even agreed with that. She just didn't want to see people needlessly die because they were indentured servants to the Commissioner. It wasn't as if Butch needed an over-ample supply of bodies to hack away at. Harmon also seemed impressed with the idea of using a space walk team. When asked how many, she took a moment to consider it. "It's definitely best to keep it small," Kova stated. "An initial team can be done with two, but a trio may make things run smoother." It wasn't as if things were typically done smoothly aboard the Phoenix. It was always a matter of getting it done with what they had. Kova wasn't against doing the same in this venture. Harmon mentioned the sensors, and jamming them to keep their approach a mystery to the crew that would be aboard. "That may not be too much of a problem. If I can get close enough to clone a communicator and gain access to their systems that way. Otherwise, I could 'borrow' a Nyberrite comm-unit and get some low-level grunt to answer, and gain access that way."She paused hoping that the answer she'd given would put Harmon's mind at ease. She smiled as Butch mentioned some alternative weapons they could use as opposed to actual phasers. She nodded in agreement. That would definitely keep any weapons-fire alarms from going off, as long as they nailed their targets first. "Not bad, Butch," she said complimenting the Bajoran. Though, in retrospect, it may have been a way for him to secure a few bodies minus sans any phaser-inflited injuries. All in all, Harmon seemed committed to keeping those weapons out of Eastman's hands. "She's definitely scheming," Kova stated. "She's always looking to take what doesn't belong to her." There was a hint of a testimony in Kova's voice. She pushed the thoughts aside and went on. "So, when exactly is this supposed to go down. I assume you don't plan to pull this off while she's aboard." In some ways that would be about as foolish as it was bold. Though, if she knew Matt, he had likely already considered a window to put this plan in action.

[Matt Harmon - Ready Room, Phoenix]Fortunately, Butch didn't grumble too much at the restrictions Matt placed and seemed on board with the plan. Kova too was on board, and was confident she could deal with the sensor issue. "Sounds good, it shouldn't be too hard to get close enough to clone a communicator given we are invited here," he nodded in agreement. As Kova spoke about the Andorian, Matt noticed the slight hint of emotion in her voice, no doubt recalling what had been taken from her by the Commissioner. He had never promised he could get her daughter back, but he had honestly promised to do everything in his power to get her back, and prevent the same thing from happening to anyone else. "We'll wait until the Commissioner is aboard the station. It'll be harder for them to respond efficiently without her able to call all the shots. I'm not sure who they'll leave behind though, so be careful and contact me if you need to extraction or reinforcements." "Right then, that settles it. Kova, you and Chloe can take care of the spacewalk. Kova's in charge, you can grab anyone else you think you could use," Kova was definitely one of the most competent and loyal members of the Front. She was perfect for this task. Chloe too was skilled with computers and would come in handy once they were on board. "Butch, you're with me on the station. We need to keep up appearances and at least pretend to be interested in the summit. We also need to make contact with some of the sympathisers reportedly on the station." He waited a moment, drumming his fingers on the table for a second before adding, "Any objections, concerns, questions?"

Tag: Kova Sh'qaleq , Jovireh Velal [Phoenix, Ready Room - Doctor Paawin Riyo ("Butch")]Butch listened intently as the plan was 'finalized'. It didn't really sound very detailed at all, but it was probably good not to over-plan anything. Harmon informed the Bajoran that he would be remaining on the station, and he breathed a small sigh of relief. Oh good. Not that he didn't love a good spacewalk every now and then... but he had never really been of the stealthy sort. Not to mention if even one person ended up dead, Kova would surely blame him for it. It was something they were constantly at odds over. In fact, the only thing he seemed to have in common with the Andorian, is the one thing everyone on that ship had in common - A deep-seeded hatred for the Commissioner. In all honesty though, Butch occasionally wondered if he should be grateful to that wretched woman. If it hadn't been for the way her people had slaughtered his family over a simple refusal to pay her outrageous toll, he wouldn't be nearly as skilled in his field as he was today. After all, it was the trauma of that incident that disconnected him from the morality he once held so dear, which enabled him to do what needed to be done to advance medical research. Perhaps if they encountered her on the station, he would get an opportunity to shake her hand... With a poisonous barb, of course. Any objections, concerns, questions? Negative. Not from him at least. And he had work to do if he was to make sure the away team would be ready for their boarding operation. "Sounds like as good a plan as any," he replied simply. Well, no, that wasn't quite right. It sounded a lot better than many of the plans they could have come up with. But that wasn't the question, now was it? "I'll get to work on the sedative. Kova, please bring your team down to the medlab before you all suit up. I might be able to mix together something else to assist you." Every good neural toxin came with an antidote. It wouldn't do for one of their own people to end up incapacitated on the enemy ship. A simple injection should do the trick, provided they were able to complete their assignment before it wore off.

2 hours later... Soon enough, both ships were docked, on opposite landing pads of Front Ear Station. The Nyberrites had done at least this wisely. While Harmon's Heroes had devised their plan together, the Commissioner had ultimately dictated one to her people. The helmsman, Lt. th'Zhaar, was to attend the local bar, the Dancing Leprechaun, with Mabel to monitor him. Both were to be sent there in anticipation of finding Harmon or one of his people, to gather intel. Meanwhile, the Commissioner herself would tend to placing an explosive, with Aune and Ozu yanked into that goal: the former for competence, the latter as a sort of punishment for her rudeness.
[Commissioner Judith Eastman - Cargo Bay, ISS Determined]Judy cast her eyes between Aune, Ozu, and the bomb that had been produced. It wasn't too big, and it didn't involve antimatter. "Now, we'll need to get it onto their ship," she said, needling them for a course of action. They certainly couldn't use the Determined's own transporters, not without getting caught.
Tag Ozu Saya and Sven Aune [1st Lt. Mabel Eastman - Docking Pad B, Front Ear Station]"Let's go, loser," Mabel ordered the helmsman, motioning at the turbolift. She really didn't care for this job, but she did as her adoptive mother, the Commissioner, ordered.

[2nd Lt Shavan Th’zhaar - Bridge, ISS Determined -> The Dancing Leprechaun] Shavan guided the ship in towards Front Ear station, while the Commissioner delegated tasks and formed the beginnings of a plan. Explosives this, Harmon that, at some point he stopped paying attention to the parts that didn’t involve him. Two hours later, with the Determined docked, there was little else for him to do on the bridge. Still, there were worse tasks to be assigned to than going to the bar, which likely would have been his first stop on the station regardless. And so he followed Mabel. Shavan didn’t much care for his escort, or her attempts to sound authoritative. He rolled his eyes, and pushed past her into the turbolift. “Of course, whatever you say, sweetheart.” he replied in a mocking tone. “Try to keep up.” Exiting the lift, he pushed quickly through the Promenade. Admittedly, an Andorian and the Comissioner’s daughter weren’t the most inconspicuous people around, if anyone recognized them, but there was little to be done about that. They arrived at the Dancing Leprechaun, a rather unimpressive establishment. Slipping inside, Shavan leaned against one corner of the bar, looking around to get a read of the room while waiting for the bartender. Tag Judith Eastman (Mabel), soft tag Leanna Mazal (Seamus)

[ Seamus - The Dancing Leprechaun, Front Ear] His sources within the command deck had informed Seamus that both the Determined and the Phoenix had docked and now it was time for the Landlord to find out if Harmon would try to seek out the informant that had been feeding them valuable intel for the last couple of months. Of course he had kept his identity a secret as he wasn't some naïve first timer, thinking that they could bring down the Commissioner and her wannabes easily. No it took a lot of time and preparation and he wasn't about to fail, not when he had such a vested interest in Eastman's demise. So as he served drinks and continued being the genial host, he was constantly watching and waiting. However he wasn't completely surprised when the hybrid Th’zhaar walked in along with Eastman's adopted daughter Mabel. No this was to be expected as no doubt Eastman wanted to gather her own intelligence on the Rebellion and catch them out. That wasn't going to happen in his bar as he finished wiping down the surface, before throwing the towel over his shoulder and approached the pair. " Greetings and welcome to The Dancing Leprechaun, what can I get you both?".

[Matt Harmon - Bridge, Phoenix -> Front Ear Station]Though he was cautious not to appear so, Matt was nervous. There was a lot that could go wrong, not only in their own, highly risky plan but also the negotiations and discussions with the League. Not to mention the not unlikely chance that the Commissioner was up to something herself. He'd ordered a few of his crew to arm and guard the entrances to the Phoenix and had placed the crew remaining on the ship on high alert, with much of them armed and ready. Most of his crew was to remain aboard. A few had gone to meet with the League to help organise for the summit and then Matt, Butch, and his Orion bodyguard, Raggir, were going to hunt down their informant. He had it on good authority from some of his sources that they were from the Dancing Leprechaun Bar. Fortunately, it wasn't that difficult for him to obtain the odd little bit of help and information from various officers in the League. After all he was for a time one of them, and many of them sympathised with his actions at least to some extent. "I don't have the name of the person who's been feeding us most information, but I have managed to narrow them down to working in the station's bar," he explained to Butch quietly as they exited the ship. "I'd like to find out who they are. Whoever they are, they've risked themselves quite heavily and I'd like to either cultivate that further or get them to join our crew." However, as they walked towards the bar he saw in the distance none other than the Commissioner's adopted daughter herself and an Andorian heading into the bar. They hadn't seen Matt just yet so he slowed down and pulled back a little. "Well that's inconvenient," he said sarcastically. "We may need to head back for a little, or see if we can find something else useful to do," his voice betrayed the slight frustration he felt. "Or, we could always confront them...that might be....fun," he pondered, stroking his beard and waiting to see Butch's input.
[Chloe Hudson - Phoenix]
"So, what's the plan? What do we need to do to mess up their sensors?" the young woman asked. She liked Kova, she was good at what she knew and Chloe did like taking the opportunities to learn from the Andorian. Chloe was a street urchin. A former slave who managed to escape. She never knew her parents and never really had any friends or connections to speak of until signing up for Matt Harmon's merry band of rebels. She didn't really care about their mission, nor did she have any personal vendetta like many in the Front, what she really craved was a sense of belonging, something she had found here. "We going to steal something? I'm good at that," she grinned.
