| ISS Determined -> Bijeta || Enforcer Sven Aune || Opal Peridot |Opal was stunned at the sudden touch from her friend. She didn't like being touched and Saya knew that. What would compel her to do that? At first she lost trust, but then some sort of message came through. Well, it wasn't a message in the traditional sense. It was more like a strong feeling. With something behind it. She shivered and watched the trio start off towards the Bijeta. One problem, she would have to hitch a ride to the station. And then find Harmon. How in the world would she do that? She spoke up. "I'm going. I'm not going to stay here and be subject to whatever horrors you have on this ship." she came alongside Saya. Somehow she would have to get a message to her that she received the telepathy. She shivered 3 times in a row, enough for the jewelry on her Horta body to tinkle and chime, but in a way that would obvious to Saya that it was uncharacteristic for the Horta. Sven sneered. He wanted to dig his claw into the Horta's flesh and cause it to scream in pain. But he had to hold back that sadistic pleasure for the time being. He needed to the play the part of a dumb brute. He gave Judy a nod and made his way to locked cargo crate. He opened it and pulled out a device that looked very much like a standard work pack that some engineer would have. He slung it over his shoulder and followed the rest of the group into the little ship. Tag Judith Eastman Ozu Saya Soft tag to Matthew Harmon [Commissioner Judith Eastman - Shuttlebay, ISS Determined -> Bijeta]Judy was the first to walk onto the small ship, studying it very carefully. She knew there would be quite a few secret compartments here, the kind that might allow Ozu to pull some surprises, but at the very least she wanted to do her due diligence to minimize the number of surprises. The Commissioner knew she'd need to keep her phaser pistol in reach. She hadn't maintained her power for so long by being optimistic, trusting, or naïve. "Let's make this quick," she said, a general directive to them all, as she settled down at the helm. The seat was not to her standards, but she was used to forgoing creature comforts when she had to. As Judy pinged her own crew on the Determined, requesting and receiving clearance to depart, she realized something. "Break the video communication system. We'll need an excuse not to send a visual hail," she ordered.
Tag Ozu Saya and Sven Aune [ Ozu Saya - Bijeta] Saya knew that she'd gone beyond what she and Opal normally did for communication. She'd never touched the Horta before, and didn't like causing her friend distress, but had felt it necessary to try to get the point across. Saya didn't think there was any other way to get a warning to Harmon before the bomb was planted. Once Eastman and Aune had entered the ship, Saya paused to close the portal. Before retracting the gangway, she deliberately tapped her foot heel-toe-heel-toe, to let Opal know that she'd recognized the Horta's response. The vibrations would be minute, but the silicone lifeform should have no difficulty sensing the pattern. Saya spun from the door as it whooshed shut and sealed as she heard Eastman tell her henchman to break her comm equipment. Hey, now! she said, stalking forward to the bridge. There's no need to break anything! I can simulate a problem with the system. Of course, it wouldn't matter if she ended up having to sacrifice the ship to stop them.

Chloe took the device and fake card and nodded emphatically that she understood the plan. As they entered the Commercial Docks, Chloe was reminded of her time drifting about the various docks, cities, and stations she had found herself on after escaping slavery. The busy hustling was a familiar sight. It didn't take long for them to spot the duty security officer who Kova seemed to know. The tail would make things trickier, but Chloe was still confident. She subtly moved towards the sides of the Caitain, and was taken aback as Kova suddenly kissed her. Taking the distraction as the opportunity she moved in and got closer, effortlessly swapped the card with the fake Kova had given her, successfully avoiding her tail. She sighed with relief but was soon terrified when she felt the tail flick back towards her and brush against her leg while she was stepping back... [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Commercial Docks, Front Ear Station ] It was such a subtle an incidental touch that many may not have thought much of it. Though, given her location and the sort of people that lurked around this docking area, the Caitian didn't chance it. She pried her lips from those of the Andorian abruptly, just as her tail instinctively lashed once again at whatever had grazed it. Her eyes narrowed as she stared at Chloe, suspicious of the girl. Her hands reached to check her pockets. "What're you doing?" the security officer snapped. "She's just trying to get my attention," Kova said, speaking up instantly. "Reminding me that we have business to indulge in... and not simply pleasure." The Andorian was hopeful that it would suffice as an excuse, but the Caitian appeared skeptical. "Leave. Both of you," she said dismissing them. She seemed satisfied with the preliminary check of her pockets. It didn't seem that anything was missing. Perhaps she had foiled their attempt. Kova took hold of Chloe's wrist and quickly began to move her along. She arched her eyebrow, silently trying to confirm whether or not she had been successful in retrieving the access card. Naturally, that left only one other task to complete. Kova's eyes found Eastman's couriers. They still seemed to be within range. "Did the device vibrate yet?" she asked, hoping that the cloning of the comms had been successful. Otherwise, they'd have to move closer, and considering the frequent glances the Caitian was giving them, that may not bode well. Kova ushered them towards a fabrics vendor, keeping them in range as she waited for Chloe to confirm. "Once it's done," she began, "We can go back the way we came. The room we're looking for is only a few doors down on the left."

Glancing back towards the Caitain first, she headed back out towards they way they came.

[Matt Harmon - The Dancing Leprechaun, Front Ear]Matt briefly glanced at Butch in surprises asas the man began coughing at the revelation of Mable's parentage. Ooops. He probably should have mentioned that earlier. Still, he was somewhat disappointed by Butch's accidental undermining of their position in...whatever this confrontation was. He didn't acknowledge Butch, instead turning his head back to face Shavan. "I'm sure," he said dubiously as he asserted, falsely, that the Commissioner's profits were doing as well as usual. Butch salvaged his situation a little. His jab wasn't anything special but it helped them save face a little. When Mabel replied however, Matt couldn't help but be taken back. He had thought that despite their savagery and cruelty, the Commissioner and her henchmen weren't so disgusting as Mabel seemed to be suggesting. Of course it was likely she was just trying to get under his skin, but she did a good job of that. "Be careful, Mabel, a person with nothing to lose is the most dangerous," he said after a long moment of silence. If what she claimed was true, which he did still doubt, it would be much easier to inspire an uprising against the Commissioner's tyranny. [ Shavan Th’zhaar - The Dancing Leprechaun] Shavan took a sip of his drink and smirked at the Bajoran’s words about the Commissioner. “Why? You’re not thinking of joining up, are you? Because if that’s what you want.. I’m sure we can find something for you to do.” He turned to the Orion, who was the only one who hadn’t tried to have a jab at them. “What about you? You seem practical. If you ever get tired of fighting a lost cause.. or find yourself out of a job, we can talk later.”When Harmon spoke of having nothing to lose, Shavan looked at him with unconcerned skepticism. “Spoken from experience?”Tag Jovireh Velal Matthew Harmon Soft tag Judith Eastman Leanna Mazal [NPC - 1st. "Don't mind Matthew. He's just a dweeb, trying to make himself feel good," she said to Shavan. Looking around, the young woman recalled a slogan her mother was fond of, a little piece of advice. "You're all just jealous. You wish you had our wealth, our power, and our resources. Everyone just wants to be the top dog," Mabel said, expressing this maxim of her mother's personal philosophy. There was always a hierarchy, the strong dominating the weak, and anyone who purported to want to share power, was just trying to stake their claim at the top of the pyramid.

[Doctor Paawin Riyo ("Butch") - Front Ear Station]Butch ignored the Andorian's recruitment offer, and thankfully the conversation moved on from his little blunder. He slid his hands in the pockets of his jacket to help with the urge to order another drink. They certainly didn't need to get the impression that Harmon's doctor was an alcoholic. His eyes darted over to his boss as Mabel idly threatened to kill their workers. It was obvious - to him at least - that Harmon wasn't sure if she was bluffing or not, as he made his stance on the matter known. When the woman - Mabel, Harmon called her? - claimed that they were all just jealous, Butch couldn't hold back his laughter. "My dear, all I want is to do what I do best. And I have plenty of opportunities to do that right where I'm at." Not everyone craved power. Some simply wanted to have fun. Some wanted to feel useful. Butch was lucky enough to be useful while he was having fun. And he didn't have to deal with despicable people like these two on a regular basis. It really was a win-win situation for him.

[Matt Harmon - The Dancing Leprechaun] Raggir only offered a loud and angry grunt towards the puny Andorian, slamming his brandy onto the table with an audible thump.
Without responding to Raggir, Matt simply shrugged at Shavan's question, "Perhaps," he certainly had things to lose, like his people, but other than that, he had nothing else to lose beyond the struggle for liberty and justice. "Better a dweeb than the odious ventriloquist dummy of your pretend mother," he said stepping things up a bit. "Tell me, what is it like knowing you'll never step out of mummy's shadow? That you'll never be anything more than a charity case who's position exists only as a means to assuage the conscience of a dressed up feudal lord?" his tone was completely calm and deadpan.

The Caitian may get curious or even worse discover that her pocket had been picked. The pair were on their way when a rather unexpected obstacle presented itself in the form of a Horta. This was the last thing they needed. And it wasn't as if this could be a discreet conversation, because... hello, a Horta! She seemed to direct her question to Chloe. Yet, they hardly had time to have such a conversation. When the Horta stated that it was looking for someone, Kova peeked around it and her eyes fell upon S'Riia, whom seemed at least a bit curious about the Horta that they appeared to be speaking with. [ Shavan Th’zhaar - The Dancing Leprechaun] Shavan didn’t flinch when Raggir slammed the drink down, and simply gave him a calculated look. “A man of few words, that’s fine. Or does he pay you to just stand there silently and try to look intimidating? I’m not sure if it’s really working.” He certainly had an air of aggression.. and being quick to anger. Maybe he was the one to go for, if they wanted to really start a fight. Although that was unlikely to end well. So Shavan turned back to Mabel. “Clearly. It’s pathetic.” he replied. While Harmon and Mabel, who obviously had a history, continued to trade insults, Shavan downed the rest of his ale. Seeing that the Bajoran’s glass was already empty, he looked to see where the bartender had gone. “Keep the refills coming. The problem with simulations was just that, it was a simulation and easy to see through with a proper sensor scan. Vitath had remained on board the Phoenix to deal with any problems that may arise there. Curiously, and indeed suspiciously, the smuggler Ozu Saya appeared requesting permission to dock. Usually he would have denied such a request, but the woman seemed urgent and hurried, and Vitath was one of a handful of people who knew Harmon had been working with her in secret. "Yes..." he said guardedly after a moment to contemplate. "Security to docking bay," he ordered before rising from his chair and heading to meet them himself along with two security personnel who would arrive there before him.

We do want to show our friends here a good time.” [NPC - 1st. Lt. Mabel Eastman - The Dancing Leprechaun]The Bajoran's claim was feeble enough to be dismissed, but Harmon's words hit Mabel like a punch in the gut. She knew her mother loved her, surely, and was grooming her for success, but... No, there was no but. She knew Commissioner Eastman the way no one else did: emotionally, as a daughter. She knew she was being groomed to inherit the throne. "Yes, it's good for you to have a good time, before you all end up in the mines," she sneered at long last, building on what Shavan had said.

[ Thami, ISS Determined ] She knew that it would be easy... so easy to just leave and disappear. Surely, she could get lost on this station and finally escape her mistress. No one would stop her from leaving the ship. They'd just assume she was about her mistress' business. Yet, when she didn't return... when her mistress found her... well, Mistress Mabel wasn't known for her kindness. It would be far from wise to anger her. Thami took a deep breath as she continued to to her duties and replacing her mistress' uniforms in her closet. With the task done, she ventured to the vanity and began to replace the items in the order that the mistress preferred. She made mental notes to see that the assortment of perfumes and creams were replenished. Her mistress didn't care to discover she was ever out of anything. That tended to bode badly for Thami. She ventured over to the nightstand, and again began to tidy things up, when her eyes fell upon a dagger. It was hardly uncommon, and the officers aboard this ship always kept at least one upon their persons... just in case the opportunity presented itself. As she stared at it, the young Andorian couldn't help but imagine the comforting warmth of her mistress' crimson blood coating her own hands if she were to plunge that blade right into Mabel's neck. The temptation to take the dagger continued to swell. Thami's hand hovered over it, trembling... and then receded. Should Mistress Mabel discover it was ever in her hands... well, there were some fates worse than death. Thami had come to know this from experience. With everything in order, Thami left the private quarters of her mistress. Even placing the minted chocolates upon her pillow as she typically did. She consigned herself to move along to the rest of her duties. Though, a faint smile came to her face with the image of Mistress Mabel choking on one of those chocolates... if not all three.

[Chloe Hudson - Commercial Docks]Chloe nodded in agreement at Kova as she declared they needed to leave. That run in with the Caitain had been to close for comfort. But then, they were stopped by...a Horta. She hadn't encountered a Horta before. They were strange beings, she had so many questions about them. How did they talk? How did they....well do anything? Kova nudged her to keep moving, but Chloe had a feeling they should hear out this Horta, see what they wanted. You never know when it could be handy. "We're in a hurry, what do you need?" she asked, urgency in her voice. [Matt Harmon - The Dancing Leprachuan]Matt could tell, ever so slightly, that Mabel was at least knocked off balance by his comments. Good. She deserved it. Eventually she tried to reenter the contest of insults but really seemed unable to respond beyond egging on Shavan's lazy insults. "Well its been fun," he said standing up, "I'm going to go see what food they have at the bar," he said hoping to get a moment away so he could contact Chloe and Kova and see how they were doing.

[Chloe Hudson - Commercial Docks]
Damnit, Chloe thought to herself as the Caitian shot daggers at her. "Yeah, we've got to get going," she said quickly as Kova offered an excuse, "Sorry," she added to the Caitain before being dragged along by Kova. At least she'd got the card and wasn't quite caught fully, that certainly could have gone a lot worse. "Sorry," she said quietly, this time to Kova. "It's not done yet," she said, her voice still quiet as she felt embarrassed. "Got it!" she chirped after a moment as the device started vibrating, her sprits restored. Glancing back towards the Caitain first, she headed back out towards they way they came. |ISS Determined -> Commercial Docks || Opal Peridot|The she saw her. A women that looked like the woman that often accompanied Harmon. Opal didn't know her name and she was with an Andorian. She didn't know what to do. She picked up her resolve. There had to be a place to start. She moved towards them, dodging a hybrid Caitain. "Excuse me." she called to Chloe. "Excuse me, I'm looking for someone." hoping to catch her attention. [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Commercial Docks, Front Ear Station ] Kova felt an actual wave of relief as Chloe announced that she had managed to get the access card. "Good. Now, let's get the hell out of here," the Andorian stated. The last thing she wanted to do was linger too long under S'Riia's scrutiny. "There's a directory nearby. Knock yourself out." Kova stated. She then turned and nudged Chloe. "We need to go."
Tag: Matthew Harmon (Chloe), Sven Aune (Opal) |ISS Determined -> Commercial Docks || Opal Peridot|Opal was stuck, between a rock and a hard place. She was being left behind on the enemy ship. And Terrians were extremely xenophobic. And she was a Horta, something much more alien then most of the other species of humanoids that had ridges on their noses, and pointed ears. And if they took to torturing those people, what would they do to her. And the scars that covered her silicon body knew the answer to that question. She slivered at the thought. "I'll find my own way." she told Saya as they boarded the Bejita. She watched the door close and frame that horrid witch Judy. She turned and started to make her way out of the bay. Where to go? The ship didn't have exactly directions listed anywhere. She thought about it and began to move down a corridor. It wasn't long before on of the crew of the Determined spotted her. As they passed they aimed a kick and it stuck her in the side. She winced in pain but tried to ignore it. "Hah! Look at that. Someone let their pet out!" the man sneered. "Where's the dog catcher when you need it?"She moved quickly around the corner. More Terrains. They gave her looks most unwelcoming. I need to get off this ship! she felt her pulse quicken. She cast about looking for a way out. There, an entry to a Jeffery's Tube. She thought for a moment. It would be better in there than around the people. She brought her body up to the small metal hatch and pressed against it. A moment later an acid like substance oozed from pores and it began to eat away at the hatch. It didn't take long. About a minute later there was a clean hole. She slipped through it and into the tighter confines of the tubes. She followed them along and down a few decks. She popped out of the tubes back into the main corridor and to her surprise she saw the mooring dock extension to the station. She quickly made her way along it, through the open air locks and into the station. It was busy. She had to find Harmon. She had never officially met him. Had only seen him. It was a huge station, he could be anywhere. She cast about and thought about asking if anyone knew where he would be, but that would seem really suspicious. The she saw her. However, the Horta then mentioned Chloe by name and stated that she needed to speak with Harmon. That wasn't necessarily anything new. [ Shavan Th’zhaar - The Dancing Leprechaun] It didn’t seem like they were going to get anything useful out of Harmon this way. Annoyingly, the Terran and his lackeys maintained their composure. Oh well. It was time to move on with the plan that had been made back on the Determined. “Finally. Good riddance.” Shavan muttered when Harmon stood up to leave. He took a long drink from the second ale and looked to Mabel. “We should go too. I’ve had enough of this vermin-infested dump.” he declared, slurring the words a little. With that he got up and moved to walk away, but as he stepped away from the bar Shavan stumbled as if drunk. Instinctively he reached out and grabbed Harmon’s shoulder to steady himself. Quickly realizing the mistake, Shavan attempted to save face by giving Harmon and his companions one last sneer, and pulled his hand back as if he had touched something disgusting. Turning away from them, he gave Mabel a significant look. The small site-to-site transporter beacon he had slipped in Harmon’s pocket with his other hand was ready. They just had to get out of earshot and give the order to activate it before it was noticed. tag Matthew Harmon Judith Eastman soft tag Jovireh Velal
