[NPC - Jaggah - Room 5]
Well, crap.
Jaggah had been abandoned.
Even restrained, the prisoners could overwhelm him.
And they would try.
Crap.
With no other choice, Jaggah tried to leap out, to the door, but it didn't work.
Stumbling over a prisoner, he fell onto the hard concrete floor.
He knew better than to beg for mercy. He wouldn't get it.

[Mara Rexan & Amira Leran - Room 5, Serenity]
Feeling the sting and the taste of copper after being struck by the hooded figure. Mara knew that he was serious with his threats to kill her if Lieutenant Th'zhaar didn't back down. However when the figure suddenly left without speaking to anyone after receiving the news about Thea. Mara finally realised who it was, especially when he appeared to leave Jaggah to the mercy of the away team.
" I know who they are, it's Tobias Morad and we need to get out of here and warn Thea before he reaches her" she exclaimed as she fought to free herself from the table as her fight returned.
" She's right especially if he's left that piece of scum Jaggah and us, I can even show you the way out of here" Amira said as she forced herself to stand, before going to free Mara.
Once free and giving Amira her gratitude, Mara looked to the away team again. " He was obsessed with her back at the Academy and you have to trust me, that this is bad if he gets hold of her. We can hopefully free my people on the way".

[PO3 Jovireh Velal - Unknown Location - Room 5]Before she even realized what was happening, the brute had released her and lunged for the door, only to fall heavily to the concrete before reaching it. Well that was... anticlimactic. Upon seeing the hooded figure had vanished, and Amira releasing Mara who explained who that man was, Jovireh didn't waste anymore time. Crossing the room, she knelt so that one shin braced across Jaggah's lower legs, preventing him from standing or kicking. She positioned her body perpendicular to his, so that if he decided to shove himself upright, his back would hit her shoulder instead of her face. "Put your hands behind your head," she ordered him firmly, managing to rein in her anger and slipping once more into professionalism. "You're under arrest for extorting a Federation colony, kidnapping and assault." It should be easy enough to repurpose their restraints on him, then once they took care of the leader they could pick him up and let the Federation justice system deal with the lot of them. Hopefully Amira could get the rest of them out of these cuffs just as quickly.

[ LT Joshua Niles - Serenity Colony, Undisclosed location ]To say the situation was fluid would be a hell of an understatement, and as things started to change, beginning with hearing that the Mac and another starship had arrived in system, thus interrupting the hooded man's posturing, Niles' lips curled back into a bloodstained parody of a grin, and his eyes flashed with a cold, hard flame. Commander Baker was back, and she had brought help. And just to make things better, their commbadges chirped again, and her voice came through. Now, that was a series of interesting news all right. First of all, they were no longer being jammed... which meant that someone had made a horrible mistake in allowing the Starfleet personnel to retain their communications equipment; that alone was an asset just as great as having their hands free and weapons in them. As the hooded man departed, leaving the large Orion behind to trip and sprawl to the floor while trying to escape, giving Velal an opportunity to restrain him, Niles' instincts to take advantage of any situation sprang to life. "Miss Leran!" While she was not under Starfleet's jurisdiction, his voice held the sharp and unyielding edge of command. "Go over our friend here and frisk him for keys."Then, he moved over to Chief Som where she sat, and came down to a knee before her. "Chief, we need you. Right now. If there are no keys on that big bastard, you're going to have to be eyes and brains Miss Leran's hands, and work a way to get us out of those cuffs. We have a busted disruptor, our commbadges, and my prosthetic. We need your magic, Chief, and to get back in the game. Do this, and once we get out of here I'll personally recommend you for two weeks' leave that won't touch your regular entitlement. And I'll even let you have a go at my private reserve."Truth be told, that promise was not one he could guarantee would come to fruition; he could recommend all he wanted, but there would be other layers of command to approve or deny that request up the chain. As for his private stash, he knew his personal bar would be nowhere near as lavish as Sir Doug's, but he did manage to acquire a few good bottles all right. All in all, it wasn't a whole lot for him to promise, but that was what he had to give.

[ CPO Kaya Som | Room 5 ]Kaya looked up at Niles but nothing he said made any sense. Why was his face so close? Prosthetic what? Reserve of what? Why was Left Ear on her? Had their comm badges gone off? Were they rescued? The room was in choas. Everyone needed something. Kaya's ears rang. She needed to not be here. She needed someone to have done something to prevent this. She needed to go. "I don't know! I told you!" she said pushing away from Niles and Left Ear. "There's not going to be a key! I need an arc spanner! If they're mag-locked, comm badges won't do shit. If they're force-sealed a disruptor blast will amputate hands." All she had to go on to even guess how handcuffs worked came from cargo bay doors and space shuttle black boxes. "You have to ..." Kaya trailed off. Jaggah was on the floor. Jovireh had him on the floor. "You have to run a field through the lock. You can't just ... You have to crack the casing and run a continuous field through the lock. I heard Baker! Didn't anyone hear that!?" Meanwhile, Étienne Fournier had hurried to Velal's assistance and all but tackled the bulky Orion captor and wrapped his legs around his neck. It was awkward, he'd only passed basic self-defense, but he had to do something. This was their chance. And Yande was somehow keeping her cool. She felt like she saw the pieces connecting even as the Chief was losing hers. "You have a prosthetic," Yande Djigo piped up and addressed Niles. "Sir, you have a prosthetic? How is it connected to your nervous system?"Joshua Niles , Jovireh Velal

[Lt Shavan Th’zhaar - Room 5] Faintly, Shavan heard his commbadge beep, and then Thea’s voice came through, breaking through the communications dampener. He watched with mixed relief and apprehension as the hooded figure suddenly left the room without another word. Obviously this was not going according to his plan. Ready or not, now was their chance to escape. He looked around in time to see Jaggah run for the exit and fall, and the others wasted no time in subduing him and returning to the problem of unlocking the cuffs. Good. Braced against the wall, with some wriggling Shavan eventually managed to tap the commbadge and open a channel back to Thea. First priority was to pass on Mara’s warning. =/\= Th’zhaar to Baker. It’s a trap. We were taken hostage as soon as the Mac left. This was set up by Tobias Morad, he’s after you personally and just left to go after you. We are all right for now and working on getting out of here. =/\=Thea Baker

All he had left was his mind, and that wasn't much. As unintelligent as he was, he still figured that playing on the fleeters' moral superiority, and therefore their guilt, might win him an opportunity. "What does it matter? You're gonna kill me anyway," he asked rhetorically, affecting a weak, feeble delivery.

[Amira Leran & Mara Rexan - Room 5, Serenity]
After reassuring Mara that she could take her to her people, as they waited to formulate an escape plan with the Fleeters. Amira looked up when she heard one of them speak to her and asked if she could relieve Jaggah of the mechanism that controlled the binders. Considering what was happening to Jaggah, this also the scientist the opportunity to get a little revenge on the Orion brute. " I can do that" she replied as they talked about ways to remove the binders and responding to this Thea, who had managed to contact her people.
" Once I have this, it'll be easy to free you all" she assured them as she moved towards Jaggah. Ignoring what she was saying, Amira wasn't gentle as she searched him and located the remote control device from an inside pocket.
" Not so clever now are you and this is for what you did to me" she said vehemently as she kicked him hard then activated the device, unlocking the binders as the kind scientist, Th'zhaar spoke to their Commander.
Mara was definitely relieved to hear Thea's voice and that they had trusted her enough to pass on the warning. She also didn't blame Amira for getting revenge either as she freed everyone.
" Let's get out of here".

[ Thea - Artemis, Serenity] Now that they had located the compound nestled out of the way on the other side of the mountains. Thea began to direct the shuttles and transports under her command as she anxiously waited to hear from the away team. Of course she was concerned about all of them, but Isaiah was with them and didn't think she could cope if anything had happened to him. Luckily she was kept distracted by ordering some of the teams to proceed and land first to provide cover and scope out the buildings. So far everything seemed to be going to plan before she received a response from Shavan. There was definitely some relief until Thea heard a name from her past. Her blood ran cold at the realisation of what Tobias had done to get her attention before anger replaced all other emotions. =/\= Am I glad to hear from you Lieutenant and..... he's found me, all of you get out of there, that's an order and head for the shuttles, Baker out =/\= Cutting off the comm, Thea looked out at the small transport, that was hovering just in front of the Artemis. Taking a deep breath, Thea opened another channel. =/\= Hello Tobias =/\=****************[Tobias Morad - Cupid's Revenge, Serenity]
The minute the comm activated and Thea appeared on screen, Tobias didn't answer her straight away. In fact the now unmasked mastermind, simply started at her as his feelings and attraction for her resurfaced. =//= Hello Thea, I believe that we have some catching up to do. Don't worry I won't hurt anyone, especially Isaiah as long as you're willing to beam over here =//=
Despite Thea's feeling extremely unnerved at seeing her former stalker and his sick demands. Her reply was simple as she gave the order to lock on and beam him directly to the Artemis where two security officers were waiting for him.

[PO3 Jovireh Velal - Unknown Location - Room 5]Before Jovireh could really do anything else, one of the engineers landed in front of her, wrapping his legs around the Orion's neck in a hold to keep his upper body under control. For a moment she just stared at him. That really wasn't the best way to do it... but he was an engineer, not security. She had to give him credit for at least trying to help. It seemed the entire room was in a flurry as Niles got Kaya talking again, Shavan responded to Commander Baker's call and warned her of the trouble heading her way, and Amira searched their new prisoner and found the device to release their restraints. As the cuffs fell away, she dropped her hands to her sides and rolled her shoulders, grateful for the sudden relief from the constant pressure. Grabbing the cuffs from the ground behind her, she gestured for the engineer to release his hold on Jaggah and move out of the way. The Orion had not complied with the order to put his hands behind his head, though that may have been due to the legs around his neck. Regardless, his compliance wasn't necessary for her to do her job. Her body shifted above his, her shin still braced across his legs, her other foot planted firmly on the ground next to him, and she reached out with both hands for his right hand. She'd heard what he had said, and her anger began to boil once more. Her left elbow dug into a muscle in his back as she used it to brace her upper body as her right hand secured the cuff around his wrist. "You are not worth the effort it would take to kill you," she snarled into his ear, before pushing herself off him and roughly pulling his arm behind his back. Her right hand restrained his wrist against his lower back while her left hand grabbed his left wrist and pulled it back to meet the other, and she fastened that restraint as well. Only then did she move her leg away from his, grabbing his shoulder and roughly rolling him onto his back. As badly she wanted to hurt him for everything he had done, looking away while Amira kicked him was unfortunately all she could do. There were strict protocols about the handling of someone in your custody... and she wasn't going to stoop to his level. Now that the Orion was unable to escape or hurt anyone else, she turned her attention to Lt. Niles. "What do you think, sir? Do we take him with us, or come back for him?" The Mac had returned, and Jov doubted Commander Baker was stupid enough to come looking for them alone. Now that communications were back, and she'd been warned, she could either call for backup or extraction if she needed to. Time wasn't quite so much of the essence now.

[ LT Joshua Niles - Serenity Colony, Undisclosed location ]Chief Som, Kaya, was lost to despair. And frankly, he couldn't blame her for it. He's first seen her fray when they had their first encounter with the Talorians, and their second had not been much better for her, if at all. However, even if she didn't come through and was locked in her current mindset, he would see to recommending she be granted some donwtime outside of her leave entitlements. And a recommendation to send her for counselling as soon as practicable. One of the technicians, though, had started on a path that could be interesting when he inquired as to the interface with his nervous system, but the issue of using his prosthetic for parts came to a head when the scientist indeed did find an unlocking mechanism, and before long his arms were free. As he worked his shoulders to ease the unnatural tension, he considered what was going on, including the big Orion being restrained, and Velal's question. "He stays here, PO; we don't have the people to look after a prisoner right now. And just to be safe, cuff his ankles too." His voice was sharp and cold as he considered what was going on. Now that they were free, this was a purely tactical situation, and while Commander Quinn was nominally in charge, he had the clear impression that his would be his bailiwick for the time being. Though, the first thing he did was scoop up the Orion's disruptor, and a quick inspection showed that the short fall from the holster had been enough to render it useless as an energy weapon. However, it was still a substantial piece of metal that could serve well as a club all all right, and he handed it over to Velal, whom he trusted would recognize what he had himself. With the orders coming from Commander Baker, Niles took a moment to think, and considered everyone else in the room. "All right, Miss Leran you and I are taking point to get us out of here; ideally we'll need weapons and to get the other civilians who are locked here, but the priority is to link up with Commander Baker's shuttles. Velal, you have my back; Chief, Djigo, Fournier, Left Ear, you look after Miss Rexan. Mister th'Zaar, Commander, I'd have you bring up the rear if you would. Any questions? If not, let's go."Then, he took a deep breath and tapped his commbadge. =A= "Niles to Commander Baker; we're going to try to make our way out. Be advised, there are civilians incarcerated here as well. If we can rescue them on the way out, they'll be coming out with us."=A=

Were they going to fight their way out? There were at least a dozen others who'd ambushed them in town, all armed. They could show up any minute and blast holes in their heads. As Lt. Niles issued the orders, Jovireh nodded. "Aye, sir." She wasn't thrilled about leaving Jaggah behind unattended. The moment you took someone into your custody, you became responsible for their safety. But this wasn't an average arrest scenario. Grabbing the rope that had been used to bind Mara, she tied the Orion's ankles together, making sure it was tight enough he couldn't move one foot from the other, but not so tight it cut off circulation. Taking the weapon Niles handed her, she shifted it in her hand a few times before sliding it into the holster on her belt. Jov preferred to keep her hands free, but it would be available if she needed the extra weight.
Taking position by the door, she waited for the others to fall in place. It was good to see Kaya and Left Ear more coherent and ready to go... And she couldn't necessarily argue with Amira needing medical attention. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to treat the rest of her wounds... And hopefully Baker and the others wouldn't be needing their help before they were able to meet up with them.

[Lt Shavan Th’zhaar - Room 5]
There was a click as the cuffs unlocked, and Shavan instantly let them drop to the floor and stretched his arms. Thea’s response over the comms had not been entirely reassuring, but he didn’t need to be told twice to get out of there.
Lieutenant Niles was quick to step up and take charge, and since he had no disagreements Shavan nodded and prepared to take a position at the rear as requested, alert for any hint of pursuit. He’d feel a lot better with a working disruptor pistol in hand… but being free of the restraints would have to suffice.
However, before they could enact the plan, Left Ear raised an objection, and she actually did have a point. He didn't like the idea of delaying, but it was necessary, so hopefully the Sivaoan would be quick about it and give Amira something to keep her going long enough to get to safety.
