[ Capt. Oberon Vega (bio), Rol the Ferengi pilot | Rover 1 ]The crew moved more helpful than the Ferengi. According to readings, something was disrupting the ion trail - Shavan conjectured a storm. But Cerjess was detecting an insect swarm. The Ferengi seemed unsurprised, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. The Starfleet crew were better help marginally, but no one was acting. "Everbody, take cover," he called as moved back towards the rover, and securing his clothing and mask. "With some urgency, if you please!" The pilot Rol, as if he'd been waiting for something, finally moved into action. He pulled down the canvas canopy and wrapped it around himself, then crawled under the rover. "Unless you care to be the cadet's first patient!" Vega urged again, giving someone a hard pull by the arm, practically throwing them towards cover. He'd be the last to shelter and intended not to be consumed due to some drag-arse. The insects, the size of gnats came rapidly. At first they'd only been translucent glinting, like an airborne mirage, but then they were upon the rovers. They blew through the visitors like a rain of glass in a gale wind. They stuck and clung to whatever they touched, prickly and sharp, needle-like claws. Any exposed skin would be victim to the insects, even some parts of the desert robes giving way to the piercing little blights. The rover provided some shelter to anyone who'd made it under. Even so, Vega had to shut his eyes tightly against insects that had made it somehow under the tight seal of the goggles. He swore at the naggling pricking in his nose, and in the weaker parts of the desert-ready robes. "Ride it out!" he shouted, immediately regretting opening his mouth. Rol, with the best cover of all under the heavy canvas, was cocooned, untouchable. [Shavan Th’zhaar - Rover 1, B-975 III]
Shavan glanced up at the mention of insects, and it quickly became apparent that the disturbance in the ion trail was not actually what had caused the Ferengi to stop— at least, not directly. A faint shimmer in the air rapidly turned to an approaching swarm.
It may have taken a second to understand the others’ reactions, but at Vega’s shout he swore under his breath and slid out of the rover to take cover. Ducking underneath it, he secured his desert robes as he got into position to wait it out. A second later, his skin was literally crawling as the tiny pests covered everything. He said nothing else, keeping his mouth shut and staying still as he felt the sharp stings, and thinking longingly of being in space. Yuck.

[Officer Gabar - Rover 2, B-975 III]
Gabar was sure there was something wrong with the human male, but he did not comment. Instead, he tapped out what seemed to be a message into his handheld device and then returned it to his belt before reaching back into the piles of supplies. He tugged out a rolled up canvas tarp, pressed it beneath his arm, and then hopped down from the rover. He released the fastener, spread it out on the sand below, and then lay down at the edge of the heavy-duty material.
He proceeded to roll himself up like tightly made hasperat. He continued to roll until he was beneath the vehicle. Any creature resourceful enough to breach his defences would find itself face to face with the sharp-toothed maw of a peckish Ferengi.
To keep his mind occupied during the boring wait, he assigned odds of survival to each of the Starfleet officers. He gave the whiny humans the least chance.

[ PO3 Eliska Bremmer - Rover 2 ]{Quoted Post(s)} [Lt. JG Syl O'Connell - B-975 III - Landing Zone]The look of shock on the Ferengi's face when she had demanded payment to carry his packs was enough to make the rest of his snarling as everyone loaded up more bearable. Though it seemed her other passengers didn't have it so easy. Thankfully he stopped grouching as they got underway, following behind the other rover and staying just far enough behind to avoid any collisions if there was an unexpected delay. A decision she was grateful for as the distance between them suddenly closed rapidly. Cursing under her breath, the rover swerved as she braked and turned, sliding on the sand with the sudden change of direction. When they finally came to a halt, she glanced over as well, staring at the other pilot that appeared to have decided to take a nap. Was that really necessary? She remained in her seat, waiting for orders or information from Vega as he seemed to be equally confused as the rest of them about the sudden stop. [Lt. JG Cerjess Miren - B-975 III - Landing Zone]At the unexpected change in moment, Cerjess threw his hand forward to brace against the seat in front of him, his tricorder toppling to the floorboard. Once they came to a complete stop, and were not rear-ended by the second rover, the Trill quickly bent down to retrieve the fallen device. Nothing had registered so far except the occasional wildlife... Had the driver seen something the sensors didn't pick up? Running another quick scan of the area, he craned his head to look at the space in front of them, then back at the tricorder. "I'm picking up a rather large swarm of insects heading straight for us..." Squinting behind his protective eyewear, he looked at the sky ahead once more. According to the scan, the swarm was almost on top of them, but all he could see was the occasional flash of light, almost like sun glinting off shards of glass floating through the air. "I suggest everyone take cover..." His warning was directed mostly at the Captain, whom had departed the rover to yell some more. Tag Kaya Som [Officer Gabar - Rover 2, B-975 III]The house pet snarled at him, baring teeth in a very threatening manner. Gabar let out a little screechy noise and clambered backward, staring in alarm at Left Ear. "Sssavage!"He promptly took a different seat. He was going to tell Captain Vega that his pet had tried to eat him. "I am not edible!" He told her in slight panic as he strapped himself in. "They are softer!" He pointed toward the human females, who were really more useful for meal preparation, and if required to save them, as meals themselves. Every now and then he'd risk a sidelong glance at the large cat-like creature, suspicion narrowing his gaze. Once it became clear that she wasn't going to try and nibble on the meats of his cheeks, he became occupied with his work. He tapped away on a small device, seemingly making reports and studying scans. The thing beeped and pinged with regularity, as though it was receiving messages. When the rover came to a sudden stop, Gabar was just as unmoved as Rol had been in the leading craft. "Little wings. Flpf flpf flpf." His sound effects caused bits of spittle to fly from his mouth. "Millions of them."
Tags: Syl O'Connell , Left Ear to-Ennien , Eliska Bremmer [Ens. Will Waring - Rover 2]The landscape was just sand, sand, and more sand. If you wanted a change of scenery just look in a different direction and oh wait, more sand. To say he wasn't fond of the granular menace was an understatement only further reinforced by his constant finding of it throughout his uniform. He was convinced he had more sand in his uniform then could possibly be achieved with just his stumble. If it were up to him he'd use the sand to blow glass in the form of a middle finger that he would then use to flip off the sand. Many more sand rants laterAs the rover slid to a stopped position he was stirred from his sandy thoughts and reminded that they were on a mission and that the sand can be punished later. As he looked at the sudden stoppage he heard Gabar mention something about millions of something. He looked around at the others in his rover "Should we take cover or something..." he asked, slightly panicked at the thought of millions of things coming their way which wasn't helped by Lieutenant's report on them being insects "I don't suppose we have a bunker nearby do we?" he probed further into the hell they were likely to experience. This is the reason he liked space over a planet. In space you don't have millions of insects, heat, and SAND. "Can't we make them turn around? Loud noises? Weapons fire? Bug spray? Maybe a 'No Soliciting' sign? I mean we transport people as energy so surely we can repel some bugs with something, right? Right?"
Tag Syl O'Connell Felicity Ellis Left Ear to-Ennien Eliska Bremmer Soft Tag: Those not in Rover 2 [ Cadet Left Ear to-Ennien - Rover 2] Left Ear lifted her eyes to the sky in exasperation as the Ferengi grossly overreacted to her. ' I'm not an animal,' she muttered as she flipped her hood back over her head, knowing that Gabar would hear her. She spent the next two hours slumped in her seat, the very tip of her tail trailing out the side of the rover. The hood shaded her eyes adequately from the sun, but she closed her nictitating eyelids to protect them from the sand. It meant she was looking through a slight haze, but her skills wouldn't be needed unless someone got hurt. Ordinarily, she might have shown some interest in cataloging the local wildlife, but focusing on her actual job was about all she could concentrate on. The rover ahead stopped abruptly, and theirs was thrown into a skid to avoid hitting it. Left Ear reached out to brace herself, tail wrapping around a rail. When Cerjess and then Gabar confirmed that a swarm of insects was headed their way, Left Ear dropped her hood again and cupped her ears forward to try to hear what they had. It took a moment, but then she faintly caught exactly what the Ferengi had described. She shivered. ' Pretty sure we don't have a bunker,' she said dryly in response to the hapless ensign. ' We might have to hunker down in the sand and cover ourselves with our robes and anything else we can.' But she didn't know for sure. To keep his mind occupied during the boring wait, he assigned odds of survival to each of the Starfleet officers. He gave the whiny humans the least chance. Bugs? They were stopping for bugs? Now that was a new one all right. Though, the swarm did attract her attention and she turned her small optic towards it, just in time to see how it was glinting, like shards of ice on the wind in the dead of winter. And those ice squalls, back home, could be real trouble all right. And just like back on Nova Kosice, on this rock they were considered to be bad news. Of course, Waring of all people decided to say something thoroughly inane, like whether or not they had access to a bunker, but at least Left-Ear was the one to correct him at this point. But, a bunker wasn't a bad idea, at least some form of protection all right... And just like that, the Ferengi on her rover got into the stores and grabbed a tarp before wrapping himself in it like he was the filling in some hasperat, or whatever the local Ferengi analogue was, and rolled himself under the rover. Little bastard, grabbing what could have made some effective cover... And that meant Rover 2 was wide open to the incoming swarm. "Everyone down!" Bremmer shouted to those she shared a vehicle with. Granted, she was the lowest-ranking Starfleet person there, but there was no time to mess with rank. Her monocular went back to a pocket and she tossed her rifle back into the rover, before turning her attention to its canvas top. At this moment, it was entirely useless, but if she could unhook it she could drape it to face the swarm. And then recover that loathsome little bastard who had gone to look after himself rather than do anything for anyone else. The leading edge of the swarm was upon her as she scrambled to rip the canvas top from its moorings and drape it as a wall in the way of the swarm. Now, between the hood, head wrap and multiple layers of her robes and uniform, she wasn't hurting too much. But her hands were exposed and it was not long before she felt a line of fire slash across her fingers. Then another and another. But she kept working, until she dismounted and reached under the rover and grabbed a hold of the cylinder of tarp and Ferengi and unceremoniously dragged it from where it was sheltered and tossed it into the back of the vehicle, leaving bloody palmprints all over the fabric. And only then did she haul herself back aboard... And finally she allowed herself to breathe... and to look down at her badly lacerated hands, and finally give serious voice to her discomfort. "Doc, I think I need your help here. Mister Waring... perhaps you could unwrap the Ferengi, see if you could maybe rig up some better shelter here until the swarm passes?"

[ Cadet Left Ear to-Ennien - Rover 2] ' There's no time!' Left Ear snarled through her teeth, trying to prevent any of the insects entering her mouth, but one managed to get stuck to her lip. The Sivaoan dove over the side of the rover, and shimmied down into the sand, pulling her arms inside her sleeves, hood over her face and curling her body under the rest of the robe. She didn't realize that the end of her tail hadn't made it under until she felt a series of painful pinpricks. Left Ear jerked it inside the robe, but a couple of the swarm came with it, stuck in her fur. She was too busy trying to get a couple off of her face to worry about them. While it hurt, the fur on her body and tail was thicker and seemed to be protecting her somewhat. But several had now stuck in the fur around her face and felt like they were setting it on fire as they struggled. She tried to use her claws to gently pull the insects out, but trying to stay covered limited her movement and ability to see what she was doing. She wriggled, trying to dislodge the bugs into the sand and decided that having her fur full of sand might actually be preferable to the insects. Tag Eliska Bremmer, soft tags to the rest of Rover 2

[Officer Gabar - Rover 2, B-975 III]One moment he was doing quick maths in his head, and then the next he was moving! Gabar could not believe it, but somehow, he was hovering through the air. He let out a scream of shock, which lengthened into an insistent squeal as he was flung onto something hard. He felt something within him crack. Heat flushed throughout his body; the physiological reaction particular to Ferengi when in danger or pain that they had evolved over a millennia of poisonings. His right ear was pressed into something hard too, grating against his sensitive lobes with fierce intensity. However, even with compromised ears, Gabar could still make out the voices from beyond his cocoon and above his own pained screaming. "Eee! Eee!" He continued to screech, all while wriggling a little to free enough space for his arm to manoeuvre within his wrapped hiding place. His hand inched down toward his upper thigh, where he had a phaser strapped. He had been forcibly removed from cover, and thrown cruelly back into danger. There was no other way to slice it - this was attempted murder. "Unwrap me and I shoot!" He sputtered, realising belatedly that the movements had created enough openings for more of the winged creatures to flpf inside. Though that would soon become a concern of the past, as he began to waver dangerously toward unconsciousness.

[Lt. JG Syl O'Connell - B-975 III - Middle of Nowhere]Ah, it was an insect swarm. Nothing serious. Right. When the call came to take cover, Syl wasted no time. While bugs on Earth never particularly bothered her as they did some people, they had no way of knowing what sort of reaction these particular bugs would cause. And Syl did not want to be the one to find out! Shimmying from her seat beneath the steering console, she knelt on the floorboard and bent foward. It only took a moment to pull her hood down over her face, tuck her chin against her chest, and fold her arms beneath her. She could hear the sounds of Eliska scrambling around... a screaming Ferengi... buzzing of insects flying past her... a threatening Ferengi... There were a few sharp pricks along her back as some of the bugs passed lower than the rest of the swarm, but either the stingers weren't that big or they couldn't penetrate completely through the thickness of her robe. The pain in her knees and hips from the uncomfortable position was more than enough to distract her from the needlepricks. [Lt. JG Cerjess Miren - B-975 III - Desert]Cerjess was grateful when the Captain took his suggestion - whether that was the man's intention or not - about taking cover. He immediately jumped out of the rover with the others, but his lack of coordination and one hand still holding the tricorder resulted in his foot getting caught and the scientist tumbling face-first into the sand. He had just managed to get his legs beneath him and stand back up when he felt a firm hand grab his arm and shove him back towards the rover. Cerjess grit his teeth, feeling his face start to burn with embarrassment, but he didn't say a word as he got back in the sand and shifted beneath the rover. His robes were a mess he didn't have time to fix, there was sand between his teeth, and his eyewear was cockeyed on his face. He could feel the bugs crawl across his exposed skin, but every move he made to dislodge them and pull the fabric over the opening resulted in getting stung. Well this was just miserable... The extraterrestrial visitors scrambled to shield themselves from the glassfly swarm. Normally these little creatures flew in shimmering synchronicity in the Dranse desert's hot sun, but introduce an obstacle - such as two alien vehicles - and the formation shatters, causing a glass-sharp shuddering cloud. Regardless that the intent of the shimmer was not to attack but to flee, the result was the same. Vega, Th'zhaar, Cerjess, Rol, and O'Connell are sheltered in and under R1 / Left Ear is in the sand near R2 / Bremmer has Gabar inside the half-covered R2. [ Capt. Oberon Vega (bio), Rol the Ferengi pilot ]Pilot Rol, with his keen ears, could hear his fellow Gabar screaming like hell and murder back in the other rover, far more desperately than the swarming glassflies harassment could have caused. He'd taken the tarp, hadn't he? Just like Rol had? Just like they were supposed to do? "Gabar!" Rol keened back. "Gabar!" But it wasn't safe to emerge, not yet. Right next to Rol under the rover was Captain Vega who had to press his hands over his ears to keep out the Ferengi's singular pitch. Effective over long distance in the low-light of Feringinar swamps they may be, but piercing from mere feet away. If B-975 was watched over by a deity, she waved her hand and the glassflies began to untangle themselves. Like starlings they found their shape again, those that hadn't gotten trapped in clothing, hair, and skin. As fast as they arrived, they left, continuing with razor sharp haste in their original direction to the north.
Leaving the away team in relative peace. Rol was the first out from under the first rover and ran straight for Gabar who he could now see was on top of the rover, that security guard all but on top of him. "Nyaaaah!" Rol screamed with the full intent defending his partner. "Get back! Get back, human!" There were only two of them, amidst a half-dozen humans - he'd pushed for more Ferengi on the journey, but had been outbid. Vega wasn't far behind Rol, though he was partially preoccupied stripping off layers of uniform and swiping off the glassflies still clinging to him. "Bremmer!" he shouted. "Stand down! Stand $#@&ing down!" He took his eyes off the second Rover if only to take a rapid tally of the rest of the party. "Where's that damn cadet!" The Sivaoan was not immediately present to Vega's eyes. The pilot Rol looked ready to literally pounce on Bremmer. So much for diplomacy. Eliska Bremmer, William Waring, Isaiah Quinn, Felicity Ellis, Shavan Th'zhaar, Syl O'Connell, Left Ear to-Ennien

[Officer Gabar - Rover 2, B-975 III]"Rooollllllllll. ROOOOOLLL!" Gabar was keening, the name of the pilot stretched long and mournful. He could hear the Great River of the Continuum as his vision from inside his protective canvas waned. "Make sure the others know what happened here, Roooolll. Seek reparations. Send a message to the Gall-Laj..."The Ferengi was delirious with pain and emotional trauma. That would be worth a lot should he expire in the coming days and require sufficient bribes for the Blessed Exchequer. "Captain..." Then he coughed from inside the tarp, and screeched again as the motion jarred his rib cage. He carried on bravely. "I would like to report an attempted murder."

Shavan crawled out from under the rover when the others did, shaking off a couple remaining glassflies from his robe as he got to his feet.
Apparently there was some sort of commotion in Rover 2. The Ferengi were screeching, and Vega was already back to yelling.
Whatever the cause, he really couldn’t care less. Reaching under his hood, he quickly pulled off one last fly that had managed to get caught in his hair and squished it.
This was going to be a long trip.

Eliska Bremmer , William Waring , Isaiah Quinn , Felicity Ellis , Shavan Th'zhaar , Syl O'Connell , Left Ear to-Ennien [Officer Gabar - Rover 2, B-975 III]"Rooollllllllll.
Tag: Kaya Som , softs Rover 2. And there went the Ferengi, screeching bloody murder at the possibility of being made to share the best available shelter from the bugs, even as Cadet to-Ennien jumped over the side, and Waring was just there, like a bloody bump on a log. And there was Bremmer, with her hands throbbing and bleeding profusely, and wondering if she could coax them into the efforts required to actually peel that little troll from the tarp, disarm him, and then tent up the rover so they might be better protected for the time being. "Oh shut up!" she bellowed at Gabar as she shifted herself towards the tarp... Just in time for the swarm to be gone... and to find herself getting yelled at by Captain Vega of all people. And for Gabar to chime in again, this time squawking about an 'attempted murder'. Of course, only a damn Ferengi would consider it trying to kill them to expect them to not hog all of a single resource in a damned desert. "And whose is that, Ferengi? You deciding to take the whole damn tarp, leave the rest of us to fend for ourselves?"Well, one thing she was not about to admit to the little bastard, was that she damn well knew she'd been less than gentle in retrieving him. The tarp was needed, there was no time to be nice about it. But then again, even with the reforms that were said to be taking hold, they were still as avaricious as they came, and would sooner chew broken glass than do anything to benefit someone else out of the goodness of their stunted little hearts. However, she did turn towards Captain Vega, holding her profusely bleeding hands close to her chest, curled into claws as that was the position of most comfort for now. "Sir, I was unaware this was a case of 'everyone for themselves', or that I was supposed to let this one decide that a resource for the entire rover was his and his alone."And there she let the implication hang, that Gabar had deliberately endangered the remainder of the rover's crew with his decision, while she had acted as per the orders given: to get under cover, through securing effective cover. Though right now, what she desperately needed was a some form of tweezers, a dermal regenerator, and something for the pain, though not necessarily in that order.

[NPC - PO1 S'Riia - B-975 III Desert (Rover-1)]From the moment they came to a stop, S'Riia felt that things were off. It was certainly a sentiment that the Captain seemed to share, and he didn't seem to be in the habit of concealing his annoyance. S'riia wasn't fond of the fact that he had dismounted from the vehicle, but one couldn't always voice such thoughts to the CO. And as if on cue, that was when things seemed to take a turn for the worse. First, the disruption of the ion trail... and then the announcement of an approaching swarm. Fauna that they had next to know intel on, but a swarm that large was anything but good. One may even describe it using the human term: biblical. S'Riia couldn't help but hope that was an exaggeration. She heard the order to take cover, but it whether it was stubbornness or dedication to her responsibility for the Captain's safety that she waited to make certain he was as secure as possible. Perhaps she had waited too long. There was no time to dive under the vehicle. Instead, she simply pulled the hood of her robes over her head and crouched defensively against the Rover. She could feel the tiny pricks, even through the fabric. Hell, were they tearing at the fabric itself? They were still insects, and just as annoying as any she had encountered before. They found their way through slight openings. She could feel them in her thin fur... trapped in the hairs and trying to claw their way free. She swatted at some of them, but even that was painful as it left her hands exposed to even more direct contact with the vermin. Through gritted teeth, she endured the onslaught... the pain... and then, it was over. Once she was confident that the threat had passed, she rose to her feet, shaking her head trying to shake loose any lingering vermin. She could feel the pain in her ears which had been exposed the most. Her hand raised to gently touch them, only to find them slightly dampened by her own blood. It was more of an annoyance than actual injury. In her opinion, there were others in greater need of medical attention than she. With time, her wounds would heel soon enough, thanks to her physiology. Besides, the Ferengi were the most fussy at this point. "I'll check on the equipment," S'Riia said. She ventured to the rear of the Rover she'd been in, and began an brief inspection. Hopefully, there hadn't been any damage to their more sensitive equipment. She hadn't gotten far when she heard Vega call out for a twenty on Cadet Left Ear's location. S'Riia's eyes quickly surveyed the area, and there was some relief when she noticed the Sivaoan in the sand. "She's whole, Captain," she reported, assuming he was more concerned about her well-being.

[ Rol the Ferengi pilot ]Rol, in defiance of whatever the Starfleet security troll intend, approached Gabar protectively and began to help Gabar out of the tarp. "We can't contact the ship," he whispered with a look over his shoulder. "The atmosphere has interference, remember." In the course of fussing over Gabar, he heard Bremmer's excuses. Humans and their childish need to explain away their own self-preservation as an act of good will to the species as if they were soooo special. "Pah!" he sniffed at her. "I do not like being outnumbered." [ Capt. Oberon Vega (bio) ]Vega stalked across the sand towards the second rover and hauled himself up. "I said take cover, not build a &%@$ing condo. Everyone else was able to figure it out - good Lord, Bremmer." Her hands were bloody up to the cuff. "Get out of here and get your hands sorted with the medic in the other rover. Medic!" Left Ear to-Ennian had somehow graduated, in Vega's mind, from 'that cadet' to 'the medic'. "Thank you, Petty Officer!" he said to S'Riia who'd found something useful to do. "Everyone else, don't be like Bremmer." Then to the Ferengis - "tell me when you're ready to get under way. Med kit's in the front." But he wasn't done. "Th'zhaar! Cerjess!" He hopped down from Rover 2 and beckoned over their science officers. "Come here." Vega drew Th'zhaar and Cerjess out from the rovers by several paces for an indiscreet word. He crossed his arms and scratched his neck, unbothered that private conferences didn't do a great deal for team morale or Ferengi paranoia. "I think the Ferengi could be sending out comms somehow. Is that possible?" he asked.

[Lt. JG Syl O'Connell - B-975 III - Middle of Nowhere]The buzzing faded as the swarm continued on their way, but the screeching of the Ferengi only got louder and more desperate. What the hell was going on back there? As she moved from her crouched position, she felt her back strike the steering console above her, and she realized that getting back out of cover was going to be a bit more difficult than getting into it. Several moments of careful twisting, with a few winces of pain from her protesting joints, and she was sliding feet-first out of the rover. The sand cushioning her feet was a relief to her knees and her hips, and she was able to turn her attention to the scene at the back of the rover. It appeared that something had occurred between Eliska and the Ferengi... but with the Captain there now and the fact that she hadn't seen any of it... Syl decided it was best to stay out of it. Quietly reaching into the pack she had stashed earlier, she grabbed the hypospray she'd learned to always bring with her on missions and reached into her robes to subtly inject the pain reliever into her spine. Soft tag Rover 2 [Lt. JG Cerjess Miren - B-975 III - Desert]With only slightly more grace than he had exited the rover, Cerjess crawled out from beneath it when the all-clear was given. Straightening the protective robes he wore, spitting out a mouthful of sand, he swatted at the lingering bugs that had attached to him. "Maybe I should have gone into entomology. At least then I might enjoy this part." He commented idly to Shavan, noting the other scientist seemed less than pleased with the personal space invaders. Cerjess wiped a hand over his mouth, trying to get rid of the rest of the sand. When the Captain called Shavan's name, and his own... the Trill blinked and for a moment just stared after the CO in stunned silence. He quickly hurried over though, not wanting to be one more reason to add to the Captain's bad mood. At the question posed, he frowned, rubbing a hand over his chin in contemplation. He glanced over the Assistant Science Officer, hoping the smooth-talker would have an answer. But this did fall within his own realm of expertise... If he didn't come up with an answer, could he really expect anyone else to? "It is possible they've found a way to get through the radiation... But if that were the case, would they really need our help?"Tag Shavan Th'zhaar Kaya SomSoft Rover 1

[ Cadet Left Ear to-Ennien - Rover 2] Left Ear heard shouting and people moving around as the buzzing receded. ' I'm here!' she called, struggling in her little sand hollow. She got to all fours, but paused as she continued to feel flies trying to get free of her fur. With a growl of frustration, Left Ear stumbled to her feet, the soft sand throwing off her usual balance. As she looked around and saw many of her crewmates with injuries, the Sivaoan gave up on delicacy and yanked the last few flies off her face, ripping out hair along with them. ' Everyone who needs medical treatment, come here!' Left Ear called confidently. It was the only area where she had the authority to order around, well, anyone. She pulled her big medical kit from the second rover and opened it on the seat. Then she stared at the squealing roll of Ferengi for a moment before pulling out her tricorder, tapping off the sand, and scanning the roll of tarp. Left Ear blew out a heavy sigh. ' Okay, I need him unrolled very carefully, if someone could help, please? Eliska, come here. Let me treat your hands,' she said, noticing volume of blood. She didn't notice the blood spotting her own fur as she fell into her role. Tag Felicity Ellis, Eliska Bremmer, William Waring, Syl O'Connell, kinda everybody
