[ Felicity Ellis - Transport Carrier Ark - Kerelia Approach] Felicity stood, steady on her feet for the moment, as the transport vessel ferried them toward the planet. She turned and faced the accompanying crew, most of whom were sitting, strapped in on dozens of seats that were fixed in two opposing lines against the side paneling of the carrier. She'd have much preferred to bring the Mac, and transport down from orbit, but conditions wouldn't allow for it. "Alright, folks," she began, knocking on the partition between the carrier hold and cockpit to draw attention and still the chatter so she could begin the literal, on-the-fly briefing. "As you all know, we're heading down here to assist with establishing a secure landing zone for the incoming scientists and colonists. They'll start arriving in ten days, so let's do as much as we can for them now."Her eyes flickered over the personnel along for this ride, resting on each group as she imparted directions. "Engineering, you'll be overseeing construction. Quick and clean, please, an Ops center first, triage tent a very close second. Medical, you'll be on-hand to advise on any potential local illnesses, and guarantee that our colonists will have a well-organised facility, with all the necessary equipment when they arrive. Security, we'll want a natural perimeter in place; feel free to reconnoiter." She paused for a moment, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "And make sure Science don't fall into any holes." Her eyes shifted toward the scientific portion of her away team. "Science - this is your time to shine. Explore, discover, catalogue. I want to know what we'll be sharing this little area of the jungle with. I want our presence to have minimal impact on this ecosystem. Whatever you need to make this happen, I will arrange for you."She returned her attention back to the group at large. "I know this has been a challenging month for us." Understatement. Before she and her crew could even begin to do their jobs properly, they'd first had to set about rebuilding everything Parsinp and her people had allowed to crumble. Admiral Antoinette Ellis' words of warning still echoed around Felicity's head, and still kept her up at night. "But we're getting there. Before we can set out and uncover the secrets of the unknown, we first must ensure we're leaving behind something worth coming back to. While our trip down here to Kerelia is to be considered official business, it's not a diplomatic mission. Do your jobs, but take some time to enjoy yourselves, too. This planet has a lot to offer."=/\= "Cap'n, we're approachin' the weather system." =/\= Certain that her people had all the instruction that they needed, she moved out of the carrier hold and into the cockpit. Doors slid closed behind her, cutting her off from the others and lending privacy to the small operations center. "Report, Lieutenant.""'Tis a doozy, Cap, but she's upper atmo, so we can avoid most of her, and ye won't feel a thing down on the surface," O'Leary assured with her usual candor. "But the storm will impact comms?""Aye, intermittently for the next 24 hours or so, then she'll be movin' off toward the southern ocean." With a couple of taps on the console to her near left, Lieutenant Niamh O'Leary switched communications and addressed everyone on board. =/\= "Attention all hands, we have begun our descent. Our tropical destination, the creatively named LZ 1, boasts a balmy temp of 26°C. No munchin' on the flora, and no pettin' the PooDoos. Thanks for choosin' Ark Air for all yer travel needs. Strap in, kids." -/\= Felicity didn't bother holding back the eyeroll. Despite the woman's brass though, the descent was nowhere near as bumpy as Felicity expected. Under O'Leary's expert hand, they navigated the entrance with only slight turbulence, and the landing was text-book perfect. The Captain patted her Chief Flight Officer's shoulder and slipped from the cockpit, keen to get off the transport and get a first glimpse of Kerelia with her own two eyes.

[ Thea - Transport Carrier Ark - Kerelia Approach] Even though she was secured in her spot, Thea still couldn't quite shake, the slow creeping feeling of nausea as the journey continued. Unsure as to why she was feeling that way, when she normally handled travelling without any issues. Perhaps it was the transport carrier being unlike anything she had experienced before or maybe she shouldn't of had that hearty breakfast before departing for the mission to Kerelia. It could even be excitement mixed with a little bit of nerves at experiencing her first proper away mission, at least involving nature, greenery and proper air. Whatever the reason, she had to remember that she was a senior officer and as such, couldn't make a complete fool of herself. However when the Captain knocked on the partition to gain their attention, the CMO was glad of the distraction from her own thoughts, as her attention turned to Captain Ellis. Up till now Thea hadn't seen much of her, other than staff briefings as those from the Mac and the civilians adjusted to life on board Front Ear. On the whole it hadn't been too bad, compared to some assignments that she had heard about and when she wasn't at work, could be found primarily in the Spudriq or on occasion the Blue Beta as well as indulging in the delights of Brooke's New Frontier Bakery. She personally was enjoying her new life as the Captain then began the briefing. Thea listened as each department was given their individual tasks in order for this to be successful in getting the planet ready for the new colony. The redhead understood the importance of why they were here and would do everything she could to ensure that her area didn't falter in doing their part. " Acknowledged Captain" she replied, as the Captain then continued, appreciating what was said about not only the station but Kerelia as well. So once she had returned to the cockpit, Thea felt less sickly, as her intrigue and curiosity took over. Although maybe she had spoke too soon as O'Leary then announced to them all that they were about to land. Taking a deep breath, Thea then prepared herself for arrival and already looking forward to stepping onto proper ground.

[Ozu Saya - Transport Carrier Ark - Kerelia Approach]
Saya spent most of the flight from the station making notes on her personal PADD, some for the current mission on Kerelia and some for the station. She felt comfortable leaving George in charge of things, but she was still concerned about a few ongoing issues. The engineering department was shaping up, but so many general maintenance items had been let go for so long that there were officers on every shift still working overtime. Following Judy's suggestion of offering incentives for those who worked the late night shifts or worked overtime had been going well. The food she brought to most department meetings had helped as well. Saya didn't claim to be a stellar cook, but after years of tutelage under Max and Judy, and a small hydroponics garden in their quarters meant she could offer a few tasty items that had been popular.
When Felicity began her briefing, Saya looked up, giving a nod of acknowledgement at the orders for engineering. They had a number of modular pieces that would be erected temporarily to form protected areas for them to work in. They weren't the most sympathetic to the natural environment, but her teams would do their best to place them in the least intrusive ways possible.
She looked back at her PADD, but it was only a brief time before they set down on the planet. Saya slid the PADD into her personal engineering kit, an old sling bag that had belonged to her father and contained an assortment of Starfleet and cobbled together tools from her childhood. Yes, there would be standard kits galore, but Saya always preferred to have her own tools.

[Transport Carrier Ark - Kerelia Approach] And so it begins Jett thought. The search for Mr. 79. He continued in his thought. The man did not appear on any searches and it was an enigma. The fact that they met briefly on the Station was another clue. It indicated that they knew who he was, and therefore, it was logical to assume that someone in the region knows him. He looked at his straps as he appeared to be on the seat in which he felt bumps once in a while. Tom was a former pilot and would love to fly the ship, but as the saying goes there can be too many cooks on the kitchen. He knew that two pilots trying to control the shuttle would create possible issues in controls and decisions. As the Cabin opened, he would look for the Cockpit to make sure that the pilot alert and responsive. Honestly, Tom would rather be on the pilot seat than a passenger but for this voyage he was there to support. He listened to the orders of the Captain as she spoke to the group. She gave the instructions to her group of officers and Tom gave a thumbs-up as he acknowledged the orders. There were no direct orders for him but he knew he was there for support if he was needed. As he heard the message that they were about the reach the LZ. Jett remained in his seat with his seatbelt on looking stoic. This was hardly the first time he was one of these transports and knew what was going to happen. As he remained looking on the mission his mind went back to the past. [2 Days Ago – Promenade – Front Ear] Tom remained seated on a chair in a Café, he sat down and looked at the PADD. He was still trying to figure out who Mr. 79 is. He looked around the station and saw a few people all over the place. To be candid he had seen a better run Station that Fron Ear. The Station was not up to Starfleet Specifications and it would take a while to be there. However, those administrative had nothing to do with him. Jett saw on a rounded wooden table with Several PADD’s in front of him. He was working on everything from Cargo, selecting crews and Mr. 79. As he had several PADD’s on his table he observed a familiar person walking the promenade. “Felicity Ellis…as see and breathe. Care to join?” . Tom offered the empty seat in front of him. He smiled for a second and then offered. “Care for a drink? Teeling, 24-Year-Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey. Rarer than Romulan ale” . Jett Offered as he would pour her a glass. With several PADD’s in front of him, it was obvious he was working. “Selecting Crew…which is a pain as always” . Jett said as he appeared to be exhausted. He placed his hands around his face as he handed one PADD to Ellis. “Look at her…Aella, last name unknown…has a criminal sheet from here to Earth. She was in charge of a crew and smuggled everything…but this caught my attention. She got caught last year…on a system with Medical Supplies. Which they needed. I think she got caught on purpose…not Starfleet but seems like a good first Officer Candidate.” . Tom Commented. He then took a break and said “Enough about me…heard from the rumor mill that you have been asked to establish a secure landing zone. With resources from the Station and the Mac.”. Jett grabbed his glass and took a sip of his drink as he tried to say this. “It’s probably none of my business, and it’s not my place to say this. I don’t mean this to come out from you or the wrong way, but the building is a major logistical accomplishment and there is a lot of unknowns. Are you sure they are ready, Felicity?” . Tom asked his tone was more of a concern than judgemental. He was concerned that there might be a potential danger. Jett was a little uncomfortable trying to communicate with Felicity as Captain tends to be protective of their crews and in her place he would not have liked the comment. But, it was meant for her to at least think about it for a second. He did not know her crew, but he was basing his judgment from what he saw in Front Ear. [Present Day - Transport Carrier Ark - Kerelia Approach] Tom Remained quiet as he observed the crew reactions to the landing.

While unpredictable, and sometimes malevolent, PooDoos could also be kind beings, and when one understood their worldview, even their cruelty wasn't something that could be held against them. Case in point, the tamed Lesser PooDoo he had in a little carrier, which he had insisted on bringing. "I have to point out that PooDoos aren't evil. They're misunderstood," he informed everyone, somewhat indignantly. "Once you get to know them, and learn to understand and respect them, they're no trouble at all. I can teach you all about PooDoos."Slowly, he realized that maybe this lecture wasn't his smartest idea. "I'm Sir Doug Zaman, the leading expert on Kerelia," the eccentric El-Aurian introduced himself.

There wasn't any doubt that since this was her first mission, she was bound to make a few mistakes here and there. She would be stepping on a new planet with new life. Some she hadn't even heard of and if they were already cataloged, she'd sure know about it. She was quick to notice the Captain's glance in their direction. She briefly gave a short nod in the captain's direction as she would enjoy exploring what this planet had to offer. Thankfully, Lyric knew that munching on unknown flora was clearly out of the question. But, she could examine it closely as she took notes. Some of the flora may have some resemblance to the plants on Earth. A majority of them could be edible while others may not be so edible. It would warrant a trip to sick-bay to get treatment. Edible plants could noted as a helpful source. Should she voice it or should she keep her thoughts to herself? She was not used to sharing information unless it was with her instructors. Was she shier than she thought? Maybe. She wouldn't be consuming anything unfamiliar and she had eaten a pretty good breakfast. At the mention of not petting any Poo-Doo's, she did read a little on them prior to leaving the ship. They were interesting and she wondered if they were like felines on Earth. Her curiosity got the better of her and she voiced it.
"Are they anything like the wild felines on Earth?" If they were, she would have to be careful should they be exactly like them.
The prospect of exploring the planet intrigued her and she couldn't wait to step foot on the planet. Not only intrigued, but she was beginning to get nervous about going on her first mission. Hopefully, this would pass when she was used to transporting to a planet's surface. Then she felt the transport land and her nerves eased somewhat.

But, it was meant for her to at least think about it for a second. He did not know her crew, but he was basing his judgment from what he saw in Front Ear. [ Felicity Ellis - Promenade, Front Ear Station] Two Days Ago...Felicity was strolling, kind of aimlessly, a PADD in her hand and her eyes on the screen as she walked; no particular destination in mind. At the use of her full name, she looked up, eyes bright and alert as they searched for the voice's source. "Thomas Jett, of all the gin joints in all the world..." She returned sarcastically, but he had her attention. "Teeling? Where'd you get that!?" She shoved the PADD in the waist of her uniform and approached his table. She picked up the bottle and stared for a moment, before shaking her head and taking a seat. "This stuff hasn't been made in decades. I suppose I should be surprised that you ended up with a bottle. I won't ask how, either."She wouldn't look a gift-bottle in the mouth. She poured herself a glass, not waiting for him to do the honours, listening to his crew gripes. Felicity took the PADD he passed over, her eyes quickly scanning this Aella's colourful resume. "Why get caught on purpose?" Felicity mused aloud when Jett offered his theory about the woman. It made no sense to her, really, if she wanted to do good she'd surely avoid the authorities and keep providing the colony with supplies from the shadows. She raised her shoulders in a shrug, and returned the PADD to his pile. She raised the glass to her lips and took a testing sip, her eyes closing for a moment in appreciation. "Ready for what, Tom?" She asked, delaying looking up from her whiskey for a few moments while she tried to decide just how pissed off she should be over his unsolicited advice. "This isn't my crew's first rodeo. They're experienced, talented officers, and they don't need their hands held. If they did, they wouldn't be on my crew."She placed the glass down on the table and leaned back against the chair, measuring him with her gaze. "You'd know that if you actually knew any of them." That he deigned to doubt them so, without having met even 1% of them, rankled her. But then a seed of idea began to take root in her mind. "Why don't you come with? You're the expert, right?" A smug smile curved her lips. ~~~ [LZ-1, Kerelia] Present...Felicity grabbed her lucky backpack and moved through the lines of seats in the carrier, the descending ramp and the beautiful planet beyond firmly in her sights. "Let's move out, people!" She called to the others, though her eyes remained fixed straight ahead. Sucking in an excited breath, one foot met soil. Then the other. Then she was walking around the landing zone, sun beating down on her, warming her bones. She dropped her pack for a moment and began to remove the jacket of her uniform. She stared up at the clear, blue sky and grinned.
Tag: Thomas Jett , softs to all [ Costa - Bridge, Diamond Dog -> LZ-1] Costa's landing in the Antares-class vessel wasn't as smooth or by the book as O'Leary's had been in the Ark. Not that she was trying to emulate that, or anything. She just wanted to get down on the surface, and was very conscious of the fact that the Dog had never been grounded while under her command. She grimaced, jaw clenched, as she avoided the weather system creating all of the issues for the giant Sovereign in geostationary orbit far, far above, and broke atmosphere. =/\= "Oye, feckers. Kissin' dirt in thirty secs. Brace ya nads." =/\= She wasn't one for too much ceremony. Where the Ark's handling had been soft and sure, the Dog's would be hard and quick. She could never be known for finesse, but this Captain's will was not to be denied. She came in far too fast, and with far too much force. The landing gear groaned and the ship bounced on the jungle floor of the clearing, no doubt throwing anyone not strapped in for the experience at least three feet into the air. "Like a glove."Costa grabbed her essentials, which consisted of an over-sized pair of shades, a machete and a hip-flask.

[Medical Ward - Diamond Dog] Alex cursed as the tones of the Captain broke through. He was rushing around the small closet that passed for a sickbay on this ship, and was securing loose and fragile items as the Antares-class ship rocketed through the atmosphere and toward the ground. The woman was frankly mad, even if she did pay him to be around. Unfortunately, he had given her once again far too much credit - he had not strapped himself in like a good boomer should have, but instead was simply bracing himself for a medium quality landing. He found himself suddenly up in the air, and then flat down on the ground again, in considerable pain. So much for another happy landing. It was amazing nothing was broken... again. He pulled himself to his feet, rolling his eyes and dusting himself off as he looked around for a medical scanner and his bone density drugs. Most of the freighters, if they weren't used to planetary Gs, would need some drugs in order to cope on planets, and Alex was no different. Injecting himself, he keyed the comms system. =\\= That's not a landing, that's an impact, Hed. Try not to give me more work than I already do, eh? =\\= he chastised, before releasing the button and muttering to himself. "One day, the ship's gonna land on something as stubborn as she is, and what then? I can't fix dead or stupid..." As he continued to mutter, he gathered together a small bag of medical supplies and tools. Colonists would need Doctors and supplies, and some illnesses or people didn't like - or didn't want - to see a Fleet doctor about it. Some things were better kept away from prying eyes and more questions than needed. That, and if the Captain needed to hide something, he'd have the needs for that as well. If there was one thing he'd learned, the Hed would find trouble wherever she went. <script async="" src="moz-extension://9eb7bddc-30ab-4460-8661-531a4d35c4d4/web/libs/ciuvo-addon-sdk.min.js"></script>

Isaiah stood from his seat after hearing the Captain's order to disembark. He made a mental note to compliment their pilot, Lt. O'Leary. If she could bring them back up just as smoothly as she'd brought them down, he'd have to buy her a round next he saw her on the promenade. He had experienced bumpier rides in the past, that was for sure. Thus, he was grateful, considering the planet's conditions had prevented transport down to LZ-1. Quinn began to look around, as he finished collecting the rest of this things.
He was mildly interested in the lecture that Sir Doug had begun in the defense of PooDoos, after O'Leary's comment. It had certainly captured the attention of one of their newer science officers Ensign Sinclair. Though, she raised a good quesiton. It was best to know what they were in store for, especially if Sir Doug could offer than information. Though, Isaiah couldn't help but wonder if Sir Doug had ever crossed paths with Ensign Forthright, whom he'd briefly worked with upon coming aboard Front Ear Station. They seemed the pair that could talk about the planet's xenobiology for days.
With his gear secure, Isaiah stepped off the Ark, and onto the firm ground of LZ-1. He took a few steps from the ship, and looked around. He could already feel the planet's humidity asserting itself, at least compared to the environmental settings aboard the ship. They seemed to be surrounded by rather lush vegetation, and the sun shone brightly upon them, reminding them of its warmth and brilliance. During his career, Isaiah had been planet-side on several away teams. However, this one had its own unique appeal. It wasn't anything that Isaiah could identify for certain, at least not yet.
"I don't know," he said aloud. "I'd have to see the beach, but in a few years, this place could possibly give Risa a run for its money." It was an optimistic appraisal, and certainly premature. Though, the work they completed today would certainly determine what all Kerelia had to offer. He started to reach for his tricorder, so that he could examine the map of the area once more, just to get his bearings.

[Thea - LZ1, Kerelia]
Now that they were on the ground, Thea loosened her harness and prepared to grab the large medkit that she had brought with her. Although did take notice when they were informed about the PooDoos, the CMO was definitely intrigued and was always up for learning something new. Nodding in acknowledgement as Doug then introduced himself, before the Captain reappeared and the order was given to disembark.
Securing the medkit on her shoulder, Thea took her turn in following the others out of the transport carrier and onto the lush green grass of the landing zone. Thinking how pretty their surroundings were and how she looked forward to not only learning about PooDoos but also what else Kerelia had to offer them.
But before she explored more, she had work to do, in getting the triage and medical tents set up and equipped for the incoming colonists. Thinking it would be her treat once she had gotten a few hours of work done. For now though, she appreciated the feel of the heat on her skin and the smells of the plants and flowers, taking it all in and how fortunate they were for having this chance to be here.

Soft Tag to all [Felicity Ellis - LZ-1, Kerelia]Felicity had been stuffing her uniform jacket into her backpack when she heard Quinn's comment. She straightened up and glanced over toward him, smiling slightly as she agreed with his sentiments. "I've seen some aerial holoimages of the coast, and it's breathtaking. I can't wait to see it in person."She returned her pack to her shoulders, tugging on the straps to tighten them. Then she followed the Science Officer's lead and pulled her tricorder from her belt. "And it's all right here, in our back yard." She gestured toward their lush surroundings with the hand holding the scanning device. "Well, Ensign, no point in wasting valuable discovery time, wouldn't you say?"Felicity turned on the spot to look at one of their newer crewmates, and then waved some of the others who were exiting the Ark toward them. "Shall we?"Happy to leave much of the set up to her trusted senior officers, and keen to get to know some of the others a little better, she moved off toward the emerald green foliage. Tags: Isaiah Quinn , soft to all at LZ-1 [Medical Ward - Diamond Dog] Alex cursed as the tones of the Captain broke through. [Costa - Diamond Dog -> LZ-1, Kerelia]=\\= "Keepin' ya on ya toes, Husty, dun want ya gettin' fat. An' lazy..." Costa paused for a moment, then amended. "Lazier." =\\= Bare-faced cheek of him, suggesting that her landing wasn't genius. Armed with her gear, she left the craft's tiny "bridge", and made for the ramp, which was hissing into place against the ground. She trampled down it and stood in the clearing, which was about a klick from the Ark's set-down point. Far enough away for her to do her own thing, close enough to take advantage of the protection the Starfleet crew's presence offered. She pulled a handheld device from her pocket and narrowed her eyes at the small readout. Behind her the rest of the skeleton crew she'd dragged along for the ride began exiting the Dog. "Stay wit the ship," she ordered the thin air, speaking to nobody in particular and not bothering to look up from her small handheld. Her voice lower then, she began to stomp off toward the jungle as she muttered, "Those mineral deposits tha' pinged earlier are lookin' remarkably Regalian in composition."

[Ens. Isaiah Quinn - LZ-1, Kerelia] Isaiah stood from his seat after hearing the Captain's order to disembark.
Tags: Isaiah Quinn , soft to all at LZ-1 [ Felicity Ellis - Transport Carrier Ark - Kerelia Approach] She paused for a moment, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. Whatever you need to make this happen, I will arrange for you."[ Lyric Sinclair - Transport Carrier Ark - Kerelia Approach] Lyric would make sure that she wouldn't fall into any holes.
[Ens. Soft Tag to all [NPC - Sir Dugris "Doug" Zaman - Transport carrier Ark -> LZ-1, Kerelia]Doug was certainly pleased to be engaged by the young science officer. As a former Chief of Science, he appreciated the youth. "PooDoos are a lot more unpredictable than Terran felines," he informed the first Ensign, the woman. "Cats tend to always look out for themselves, whereas PooDoos are just as likely to be your best friend as they are to steal your lunch."Doug prepared his own gear, donning prescription sunglasses and a fedora and adjusting the waist of his cargo shorts, and began to force his PooDoo into her harness, as the other scientist spoke to them all, and the Captain replied. "I think Kerelia is already much better than Risa," he commented. "It's still untamed, independent, and the animals are much more interesting. I think Risa is too commercialized."The tamed, leashed PooDoo accompanying Doug, her tail held high, was case in point. She was a very interesting animal. "Oh, I know this place," he told everyone, as he and his pet took in the environment. "There's a lot of biodiversity here. Just be careful not to get bitten by anything, and not touch your face too much, just in case the PooDoo influenza from '77 is still around. [Transport Carrier Ark - Kerelia Approach] Jett thought was interrupted for a second as he looked around the shuttle. He was remembering how did he end up in this transport carrier with a new group of people. He did not know much of the people in the shuttle but he was concerned. Their silence was interrupted by another civilian in the voyage that introduced himself. [NPC - Sir Dugris "Doug" Zaman - Transport Carrier Ark]The pilot's caution against petting the PooDoos wasn't entirely to Doug's liking. I can teach you all about PooDoos.""I'm Sir Doug Zaman, the leading expert on Kerelia," the eccentric El-Aurian introduced himself. Jett did not quickly respond as he took a second to get a flask out of his pocket. As the person sitting across to him was a scientist, he was not surprised. The purpose of the mission was to establish an LZ and having one of the leading scientists with them was something that was logical and useful. As a bump occurred his head move slightly. The man took a sip of bourbon of his flask as he was readying himself for what is to come. Tom looked at everyone and extended his flask. “Bourbon”. He said as he did not even ask him but social conventions would indicate that he was offering him a drink. As he waited for his response, Jett said “The name is Jett, Doctor pleasure meeting you” . The man omitted the reason why he was there. He was just waiting. Prior to departing, Tom read the reports and it appeared that there were some exotic flora and fauna. However, there was nothing about a primary species or that the planet was inhabited. “My understanding hat the world is uninhabited and there has been no evidence prior civilizations, is that correct Doctor?”. Tom asked as he read the report but wanted to confirm with the Doctor. With no civilization, the Danger to them would be limited to Flora and Fauna and them not doing stupid mistakes. As the conversation continued Jett thought back as the reason why he was there. [Promenade – 2 days Ago Fron Ear] [ Felicity Ellis - Promenade, Front Ear Station] Two Days Ago...Felicity was strolling, kind of aimlessly, a PADD in her hand and her eyes on the screen as she walked; no particular destination in mind. Jett responded with a smile when she asked him how he obtained a rare bottle. The man kept his secret as she would figure quickly that the drink was probably smuggled. The benefit of being a smuggler is that sometimes you do get to run into rare items. As he looked at the potential candidate as First Officer, Jett wondered if there was more to the story. As Felicity asked why to get caught on purpose, he could theorize but he would only know if he talked to her in person. “Plenty of reasons. But the only way is to talk to her in person” . Jett responded to Felicity. She was right though eve if helping there was a whole in her resume. Unlike Starfleet Officer that he can see the full Bio in the civilian market finding a good crew means looking for talent in unlikely places. As she mentioned her point that he did not know her crew. She looked at him. Tom looked at her blue eyes, as he shook his head slightly. The idea was that he was not sure but she was right. He has only met a handful of them for less than a couple of hours and he was making a conclusion. As she offered for him to come he was surprised for a second. “Feclity, I’m no expert or not anymore” . He said as he was sure he was not the Starfleet Person that he was long ago. “But, I’ll go look at them, I’ll try to get to know them, I’ll keep an open mind.”. Jett said as he agreed to go with her on her latest adventure. “Cheers” Jett said as he raised his glass. She might trust her crew, but he was not sure. With Mr. 79 and the mystery of the Icarus looming it would be a matter of time that they might need to bring more people into the mystery and it would be people that they would trust. [Present Day - LZ1] Jett felt the land of the carrier. As soon as it was safe he removed his belts and stood up. For people that were paying close attention, he began by checking his pulse pistols for ammo and then holstering two of them. He was arming himself in case of potential trouble. The man was not sure if everything has been cataloged and safe. Exploration can be done but he had been around long enough to know that it can also be dangerous. The man was silent as he grabbed his bag, which contained his essential and things that he picked for survival. He looked at the person that appeared to have a medkit. He observed as she remained quiet. The Ensign made a comment that the place would give Risa a run for its money. Jett liked the optimism of the Ensign. As Felicity appeared to be leaving, Jett began moving out. He exited and observed the blue skies and green foliage surrounding them. The planet was a little warmer than he would have liked and a little more humid. It reminded him of the tropical training in Starfleet Academy. As he looked around the greenery it would be easy to get caught up in it’s beuty. Jett reacted by taking his tricorder ou and began scanning it. [NPC - Sir Dugris "Doug" Zaman - Transport carrier Ark -> LZ-1, Kerelia]"I think Kerelia is already much better than Risa," he commented. I got that bug at the time, and it wasn't fun."Doug was admittedly sloppy with sharing his records, as he was saving some discoveries for the book he was writing, but this one had been shared. As he mentioned the order Jett began scanning. “I see what you are saying Doctor. I am trying to get some scans to warn us if anything approaches us. But the amount of Flora and Fauna…it’s making reading them difficult.”. Jett commented out loud. Implied was the suggestion that they would have to trust their eyes and ears for potential dangers than relying on their scans. He put the Tricorder away as for him it would be useless. Jett began looking around as he was trying to figure out what the planet had to offer. Tom strolled as he looked around he had to rely on his own experience and the Doctor's expertise to survive the planet. Tags Felicity Ellis Judith EastmanSoft everyone else

[ Lyric Sinclair - Transport Carrier Ark - LZ-1 Kerelia] Lyric listened to Doug as she un-belted her harness and reaching down to grab her gear and her backpack she always carried through her Academy years. She was intrigued by his knowledge of PooDoo's. The more she learned about them, the better she can learn to respect them. She was happy to note that they were a little more unpredictable than Earth's felines. She was glad she wasn't shy or else she wouldn't have brought up Poodoo's. Lyric stepped off the Ark and was surprised how warm and sunny the planet was. The first thing she did was take off her uniform jacket from the humidity the planet presented. She folded her uniform jacket and placed it inside her own backpack. She turned her attention back to Doug as he spoke about knowing this place. She hadn't known there was a PooDoo Influenza. The rest of the crew may have more knowledge than her about this new planet. Everything would be a new experience for her. She stepped away from the Ark. She swallowed her nerves as she smelled the air. It smelled fragrant and clean. But she could also note that there were many unidentified animals, flora, fauna, and so much more. She would have briefly mentioned that there could be more to the planet than there appeared. There could be nocturnal predators as well as day predators. Regardless, Doug may know about this planet more than she did. But that didn't mean there weren't hidden dangers in your very own backyard. Like those yellow jackets that love to build their nests in the ground. "Hope there aren't yellow jackets or some similar bug that stings out here." She didn't like stinging bugs all that much and they didn't like her either. "If there are, I'm a scaredy cat around bees."

[LZ-1, Kerelia] Present...Felicity grabbed her lucky backpack and moved through the lines of seats in the carrier, the descending ramp and the beautiful planet beyond firmly in her sights.

Start offloading the prefab panels and lean them on the outside of the carrier. There was a chorus of responses from the half-dozen or so engineers. As other members of the crew began their explorations, Saya scanned the clearing for the best spots to set up the buildings. She grabbed an armload of stakes and quickly marked out a 12' by 50' area near the treeline near one side of the clearing for the ops center, gesturing a couple of her people to start carrying over the panels that would form the basic shell inside which they would be able to place the equipment they would need for the general running of their missions from this location. Spotting the CMO outside the transport, Saya jogged over. Doctor, would you like to choose the location for the triage center? I'll lay out roughly the same size as the ops center, she said, gesturing to the marked-out area, unless you need more space for patients. we have plenty of panels to expand, if needed. Saya would have loved to do some exploring herself, always enjoying hiking in new places, but her duties had to come first, which meant getting these buildings up and supplied as quickly as possible.
