[Sickbay - Deck 7] For the briefest of moments, Thea wondered if Elijah would actually listen to her or ignore her in order to try and stop the prisoners. Whilst she didn't blame him for doing so, the last thing she wanted was to add his name to the list of the injured or worse. Then there was some relief as Elijah removed the commbadge and joined her, where she now lay on the floor. Returning his nod with one of her own, daring not to speak at least where she would be heard. Biding her time until she could whisper to him, without repercussions, not that she believed that their captors would kill anyone. No they seemed more intent on breaking and destroying equipment, well one of them at least as he stomped on the commbadges. Whilst she wasn't a Counsellor, she recognised that he was slightly unhinged, as the other two remained close and spoke quietly with one another. Thea theorised that they were probably discussing their next move and wondered if they would take her with them to wherever their next destination would be. If that happened then she would go along, if it meant keeping others safe including Isaiah. It was only the moans of one of the injured that forced Thea back to the present, especially as Malko responded to them. Something seemed to snap in the CMO, no longer caring what happened to her as there were people who needed her now and she wasn't going to let their captors, leave someone potentially at death's door and she refused to let anyone die on her watch. " Enough .... I've done everything that you've asked me to do, but I refuse to lay here when someone needs medical help, regardless of what you think of us, so I'm going to do my job unless you want a murder charge added to your list of crimes .. when the others recapture you".That's when Thea got to her feet, the time for games was over and if Elijah wanted to follow then she wasn't going to stop him as she moved to the patient, he had been dealing with when she arrived. Her Father's courage and spirit was very much with her as she became determined to do what she had to do without the fear of possible death.

Saya raised a slightly offended brow at Judy's implication that her calculations might be so far off as to transport someone inside a bulkhead, but conceded that it might, indeed, be wiser to make the first attempt on something that was not a person. She dipped her head in acknowledgement of Quinn's deference to her and turned to her station, pulling up schematics of the ship and beginning calculations to get a precise location. Standby, she said. While the computer ran her calculations, Saya checked maintenance reports again. No reports of damage specifically from the brig, but there are power fluctuations on Deck 7. After a moment, she had a precise location in engineering - a space open enough to easily beam a person. Ready, Saya reported. =/\= Ozu to engineering. Clear the open area of main engineering. We're attempting a beam in test. Reply to confirm the arrival of the, uh, chocolate bar with a combadge. =/\= In engineering, a perfect chocolate bar, with one section removed, materialized in the middle of the floor. "Aye, Ma'am," simply replied the Ensign before setting down to work. While the others on the Battle Bridge were discussing transporter matters, Niles was following the directions he had been given, taking down forcefields furthers away from the Brig and tightening the noose around the area where forcefields were inoperable. And, he also kept an eye on the security lockouts he had set in place... Many doors were opened with proper codes and authorizations... but then one hatch was forced. Then another. Then another. And, he could see where they were heading. "Commander!" The young Ensign's voice sounded like a whipcrack. "I'm seeing one hatch forced! Looks like they've made it to Deck 8. How the hell did they do that?!"The worst part, was that there was very little he could do, save watch and... =/\= "Security, this is the Bridge. Converge on Deck 8. Expect three belligerents, probably armed."=/\= There was entirely too little he could do, and that was killing him... and just as he slammed his prosthetic hand on the edge of his console, drawing a sound of metal on metal as his exposed metal metacarpals connected, the communications chirped again, coming from the Brig, indicating that status of Petty officer S'Riia and Crewman Som. Well, at least that answered that... With everything that was going on he was prepared to assist in any way possible. For now he secured all of the flight systems so he wouldn’t totally be in trouble when the time came. He helped the others secure things down at the battle bridge. He was high alert as he prepared for what might possibly happen. He was willing to possibly be beamed out when it was time if necessary. He was going to wait and see what would happen with the chocolate bar. He hoped that it would work out well so maybe they could eventually try it with people. [NPC - Chief Petty Officer Dawn Bawn - Main Engineering, USS Mac]A chocolate bar? Dawn couldn't help but wonder why. It seemed like the most random thing to be on about, but she wasn't here to question orders. Especially when it materialized. =A= "Engineering to Bridge, this is Bawn. The chocolate bar is here," =A= she reported.
It all happened at once, so fast. The report from the Brig, the progress on transporting, and the revelation that the prisoners were mobile. And then, the ship shook again, the shaking followed up by an alert on the Ops console. "Main power is gone on Decks 4 and 7," Mabel reported. "Sickbay is still running on backup power.""Oy vey izt mir," Judy muttered. She wished she could deal with these things, as the ancient Jewish joke went, one cow at a time, but they didn't have this luxury. She had to lead. =A= "Som, Eastman here. We're trying to locate the Arkarians. If you need a medic over there, just ask," =A= she said over the comm, hoping to project calm to the young engineer and the injured security (Judy assumed) officer. "Chief, Lieutenant, I'd say we can you out, so let's do that now," she then said, hoping to at least get some things moving the way she wanted them. "Mabel can push the button for you.""Ensign Niles," Judy then addressed her Tactical Officer. "I suppose we can use all this to our advantage. If they are on Deck 8, and the power is out on Deck 7, I'd say it's a safe bet they'll go up and not down. Let's capitalize on that." [Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - Battle Bridge --> Deflector Control, Deck 11, USS Mac] Isaiah listened as the report came in. It seemed that the people in the Brig were fine, but the prisoners had been confirmed as on the loose. He shook his head. It was stating the obvious, but none of this was ideal. He couldn't help but wonder exactly where Thea was at the moment. He was hoping that she was tucked away safely in Sickbay treating any that had reported to her with injuries. Of course, he didn't have the luxury of actually checking. At least not right now. The ship rocked once more, as the Mac was hit by the storm once again. They modify the shields and they needed to do so quickly. Some of the projections suggested that things could get a lot worse before they got better. It was only a few moments before the call came in from Engineering that Commander Eastman's experiment had been successful. Isaiah nodded as moved to an open area of the bridge. He then looked towards Mabel. "Ready," he said to the ensign. He felt the familiar tingle of the transporter, though he was confident it was more imagined than practical. His surroundings disappeared and were soon replaced with that of deflector control. Isaiah looked around, and there didn't appear to be any significant damage at least at first glance. He moved towards one of the consoles and started to renew his attempt at the calculations, making modifications for anything that may have changed in the meantime. =/\= "Quinn to Battle Bridge. Transport successful. Getting started on the EM Scanner now." =/\= After checking the numbers, there didn't seem to be much deviation from what he'd seen before. He then turned his attention towards the EM Scanner. After picking up a tricorder, he approached it and knelt down to remove the cover panel. He conducted a few scans and started to remove a few isolinear chips and rods, replacing them in different locations. His eyes scanned the tricorder occasionally to see how the scanner was responding. "Computer, location of Lt. Commander Baker," he said, as he continued to work. He was sure that she was fine. Perhaps he just wanted to put his doubts to rest. =/\= Unable to comply. =/\=It was frustrating, but likely due to the glitches with internal sensors. He supposed he could always comm her, but if she was working, he certainly didn't want to disturb her. He decided to finish up the reconfigurations of the EM Scanner, and then, he could probably turn his attention to helping with the internal sensors. It could possibly help deal with this situation with the Arkarians if Security didn't handle the situation first.
Tag: Judith Eastman (@ Mabel), Joshua Niles , Ozu Saya , Alex Graham [USS MAC-battle bridge] With the ship rocking again he was getting an uneasy feeling but he knew that he had to brush those feelings to the side and focus on the task at hand. Alex was glad that the transport of the chocolate bar went well. It meant that they could move forward and eventually work on trying to transport people. Hearing that prisoners were on the loose wasn’t exactly the thing anyone wanted to hear. It just meant to him to keep his guard up until they were caught. He turned his attention back to the battle bridge after he was caught up with his own thoughts. Tag: Isaiah Quinn

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Ens. Mabel Henriksen - Battle Bridge, USS Mac]Suddenly, the battle bridge grew emptier, quieter. It left Judy with more space for her thoughts, and her pain. "They could go for either of those, or Sickbay," she confirmed to Ensign Niles. "I'd say an Armory-to-Bridge route is plausible, if they think they can do it. They go to the Armory, ransack it, and then show up to the Bridge with all the phasers they can carry."At that moment, inspiration hit her. "Wherever they're going, especially if they end up carrying equipment, they could use a turbolift. Maybe we can use that," the First Officer suggested. =A= "Eastman to Som. Can you bring a turbolift online, ready for our prisoners, but make it look like we didn't mean for it to be online?" =A= she asked, over the comm. "Ensign, if this can be done, I imagine you can work some magic on a turbolift full of terrorists," she added, to Niles. Meanwhile, it fell to Mabel to answer Quinn's comm. =A= "Acknowledged, Sir. Keep us posted," =A= she said curtly. [...]
Oh, that was clever! A little spot of internal-aimed sabotage never hurt anything, did it. Kaya grinned and responded.
=A= Aye, you know I can, Commander. Stand by. =A= Then she looke at S'Riia, her grin not close to fading even though they'd be climbing a half-dozen decks through tubes. "We're going to have run." With that, and as soon as S'Riia was ready, Kaya grabbed her kit and set off down the corridor at a run, headed back for the junction. With the ship still struggling to stay afloat, Kaya could have sworn she felt the Mac moving under her feet. [ Ens Joshua Niles - Battle Bridge, USS Mac ] And just like that, a plan to catch the prisoners was coming together. Commander Eastman might have considerable experience, both in terms of her time in Starfleet and raw life experience, but she was definitely willing to listen to her officers. After all, she couldn't really be an expert in everything, could she? As she agreed with him, the Tactical Officer started on his own plan, and his hands were dancing on his console. The Bridge would be a tempting target all right, and given how those criminals had managed to avoid capture and get around his lockouts, he had to find a way to trick them. Leaving the Bridge unsecured would reek of a trap for them, so of course he locked the doors, and prepared the standard lockouts on the consoles themselves, but he also did something he thought was rather devious: he put the consoles in the simulation mode used for non-maneuvering exercises; no matter what would be done on them until they were released either by his command or Commander Eastman's, they were effectively cut off from all ship systems and while they would show readouts, they would not affect anything. "Commander, I've set a bait on the Bridge; all consoles have basic security enabled, and all are locked in a simulation mode that can only be released by your codes or mine. I'm starting work on the Armory on Deck 5."And indeed, so he was. Those prisoners had been cunning, so he would have to make things look appealing enough to them. And, with a bit of doing, he generated a maintenance request for the locks on the armoury doors, and got the diagnostics to read a fault with the door itself. At least, it would be less obvious than leaving it wide open. And, with this done, he opened a channel, this time to commbadges, for all security personnel. =/\= "All Security, this is the Battle Bridge. I need armed security teams in ambush positions around the Bridge and the Armory on Deck 5."=/\= And, just like that, the traps were being baited.

Mabel Henriksen - Battle Bridge, Deck 18]The response from Crewman Som was reassuring. From Ensign Niles... a little more mixed. He was a good kid, but this was a problem. Judy instinctively unfastened her seatbelt uncrossed her legs, meaning to stand up and turn to face him, but as soon as she began to do so, she felt the pain in her ankle. Recrossing her legs, she turned her head forward, to her assistant. "Mabel, could you go and replicate me a cane?" she asked. "Yes, of course," Mabel answered cheerfully, and went to do just that. "Be careful," Judy warned, aware that there could yet be turbulence. Then, she turned her head back, towards Ensign Niles. "Ensign Niles, I appreciate your initiative, I really do. Starfleet needs young people who think up ideas and then roll with them," she began, going about it all very gently as opposed to a forceful reprimand. "However, you still need to ask me, or whoever is in charge at that particular moment, before you take broad actions. I need to make a judgement call based on whatever else is going on with the ship, and in general, it's good to get a second opinion," she added, still speaking softly and avoiding the harsh tones of a dressing-down, because she didn't see what she did as dressing him down, but rather as a gentle behavioral adjustment to an inexperienced but well-meaning young man. "For example, in this case, I would've addressed the message to security personnel not on decks 7, 8, and 9, just in case the Arkarians are too near to one of our people," she explained. Mabel then handed over a steel cane. "Thank you, dear," Judy said, and then tentatively stood up. It felt good to stretch her leg (singular).

[Main Engineering] "Chief!" K'Dex called out as he heard someone else coming in to give commands. He'd personally been busy on rerouting the computer core to the secondary core, and cleaning the corrupted files, while keeping an eye on the maintenance reports and things that had been flying past. K'Dex pawed up to her, and nodded respectfully. "We've been locked down since your command. We have a mostly functioning computer system, though we've trashed most of the main core again. I've been trying to reroute power to sickbay remotely, but the relays are just fried until they can be repaired. Science seems to be in deflector control, deflector and shield integrity at 60%. I can take the lead with security in repairing internal sensors and working transporters for security teams." He raised his right paw in a soft wrapped bandage. "Not going to be a lot of use for now in assembly unfortunately." K'Dex meowed apologetically. As much as K'Dex had been skimming reports on the console while he had worked on the computer core, he realized he really had zoned out the rest of the world, as the chronometer read later than he had thought. After the Chief responded with orders, he would need to move quickly. He was already considering a triangulation possibility for better transporter accuracy in the decks without functioning sensors.
Tag Ozu Saya [ MCPO Ozu Saya - Engineering] Saya paused at the Caitian's call, looking up into the black-furred face as he reported and made his suggestion. She nodded thoughtfully. Report to the battle bridge to coordinate with Ensign Niles at tactical, Saya ordered. Tell Commander Eastman any ideas you have for tracking the Arkarians. It's time for some creative solutions.
And Ensign, get your hand checked by someone in medical at the earliest opportunity.Orders given, Saya resumed her course to the industrial replicator, where there was a sudden triumphant yell from those surrounding the device. May I presume that your jubilation indicates that the replicator is functional? she asked as she approached. Yes, ma'am. Back up and running. We'll have the last few parts for the emitter coil within a few minutes.Saya could see where the parts that had already been replicated were laid out in their relative positions on the deck, ready to be assembled. Excellent, we can start assembling what's here. Bring me the rest of the parts as they're ready. The chief knelt and began pulling components together, using the tools that were already there in lieu of getting her own kit from her office.
Tag K'Dex [Main Engineering -> Battle Bridge] K'Dex nodded to the Chief, and gathered a quick PADD before standing still. "Transporter Room 3, beam me out of Engineering please." He said into his Comm, keeping the Engineering lockdown secure. He nodded briefly to the officer at the transporter station before departing the transporter room, and walking briskly to the battle bridge. As he entered, he spied the commander and the ensign he was to be working with, nodding in respect. "Chief Ozu sent me to help security and scan for the intruders. Are there any significant biological differences we can exploit in scanning for?" he said as he took his place at the engineering station, and began scanning through the data they had, his left paw setting down the PADD and letting his claws clack against the console screen. "Internal sensors are down across decks 7 through 10. We could try using sensors from one of the shuttles in the main shuttle bay, but the internal ship structure would prevent more than very basic data. Possibly it would give us an indication of where people are located though. If we can correlate that to signals from comm badges on a broadband comm ping, we can at least separate crew from civilians. Or the prisoners." His eyes narrowed as he examined the most recent commands from the bridge and comm chatter, bringing him up to speed. "We're thinking they're going to the bridge? If so, I could divert some power from the consoles to force fields as ways to box them in for security."

[...] Meanwhile, it fell to Mabel to answer Quinn's comm. =A= "Acknowledged, Sir. Keep us posted," =A= she said curtly. [Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - Deflector Control, Deck 11, USS Mac] Isaiah worked frantically realizing that time was of the essence. The sooner he finished meant that they would be one step closer to putting his theory into practice. His hand moved across the panel as he made the calibrations to the EM Scanner. His eyes pivoted from one screen to the next as he made adjustments first to his calculations and then to the calibrations. There was still the annoying little glitch of the internal sensors that was bothering him. Though, Engineering should have that repaired soon, or at least that's what Quinn told himself as he continued to work, focusing on the task. After some tedious work, it finally appeared that Quinn was done. He double-checked the parameters of the EM Scanner with his calculations, and made certain that it should align with everything else. He wouldn't know for certain until Chief Ozu and her team had finished replication and installing those coils, but from everything he could see, he was quite confident. Isaiah tapped his comm badge. =/\= "Quinn to Battle Bridge. The EM Scanner is ready," =/\= he announced through the comm.

She picked up the pace to fall in line alongside Kaya. Truth be told, she'd rather take point, but these Arkarians were crafty. She wasn't entirely sure what to expect. That was when Commander Eastman's voice could be heard over the comm, asking Kaya to bring the trubolift online, as a trap of sorts from what she could gather. S'Riia had to admit, she was impressed with the idea, but it was likely Kaya's enthusiasm that drew an actual response. "Remind me never to piss you off," S'Riia said, confident that the eagerness in Kaya's voice spoke volumes of the engineer's intentions. They continued on, until they reached the junction. Now that they had reached it, she was a bit more reluctant to leave the young Trill alone. Especially, given that Eastman had given her a critical assignment. She wished those Akaraians hadn't smashed her comm badge. At least then, she'd be able to determine what strategies were being deployed throughout the ship. Though, given that Eastman had moved to this turbolift, it seemed that the computer core was likely no longer a target of the prisoners. So, what was?

[Sickbay - Deck 7] Elijah kept his eyes trained on Chief Baker, waiting for any signs of an order as he listened to the commotion around them. In his head, he was counting down the time for when his patient would be nearing criticality. What did these criminals want in any case? He was exhausted, physically and mentally, and connecting dots wasn’t something he was feeling truly capable of beyond medical queries. When one of the three started stomping on combadges, his jaw tightened. Is that really necessary? He heard someone whimper from the back, possibly staff, possibly a patient. And then another moan, one much closer. Fuck. Elijah was trying to work out a way in which he could convince the criminals to let him treat his patient, his humility hard to convey, when Chief Baker spoke and got to her feet. He smiled to himself for a brief moment before schooling his features and got to his feet too. He put his hands up to convey he meant not harm.
“She’s my patient,” he said, gesturing to the woman waiting for the tool removed from her side. “It’ll go faster if I assist.”
He put his hands down and followed Chief Baker over to where he’d been standing before Sickbay was taken hostage. “ I’ve administered a regional anesthetic. She passed out shortly after arriving and I was hoping she may come around again, knowing how long this tool is could be beneficial before removing it, lest it result in retroperitoneal hemorrhage.” Power to the scanners would have been a Godsend but Elijah knew they would have to go without. “ Miss, can you hear me?” He asked her, gently opening her eyelids to see her pupils reacted to light.

Tag Ozu Saya K'Dex Judith Eastman Isaiah Quinn (S'Riia) [ MCPO Ozu Saya - Main Engineering] Saya's head jerked up at Kaya's sudden entrance, causing her to drop the part she was installing and send it skittering across the deck. She was grateful that the young crewman had announced herself. A few jumpy engineers had phasers in hand from the weapon lockers in engineering, but most were busy at various repairs. Thankfully, none of the armed ones had accidentally shot Kaya. She retrieved the part she'd dropped and went back to work, listening with a raised brow as the Trill made her unusual request. Saya didn't interfere, as she knew that Kaya was a good engineer and could be trusted. She assumed that the request had something to do with capturing the Arkarians, so she returned her attention to the nearly completed field emitter coil. It was the work of a few minutes to assemble the last few components and begin installing it. Saya wiped sweat from her brow and tapped her combadge. =/\= Ozu to battle bridge. The field emitter coil is complete and being tied into the deflectors' power systems now. Installation should be complete in approximately ten minutes. =/\=

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Ens. [ Kaya Som | Arriving at Main Engineering ]"Remind me never to piss you off," S'Riia had said. Kaya had laughed too loudly at that. Between the two of them S'Riia was the more formidable, but Kaya would take the prize in a spite competition. The two split off then, Kaya to Engineering and subterfuge and S'Riia to retake the ship. Before long, Kaya burst into main engineering, winded hard with her hands up. "Just me!" she announced herself. She was too gassed to give proper salute to Chief Ozu. She moved immediately to her favorite terminal and began planting a series of harmless shorts in the logistics systems. She wanted to make it look like the turbolifts were glitching in and out. =A= Som to bridge, operation moth to flame underway. =A= Then, she turned and raised her voice to the other engineers. "Can I get a power surge in the bow around deck 7? Light it up." If they timed it right, the main turbolift would look to anyone to be magically operational while the other ones flickered in and out. [ Ens Joshua Niles - Battle Bridge, USS Mac ]As responses were starting to come from Security personnel to his station, Niles looked up when he heard Commander Eastman speak, and his hands froze. In fact, he completely froze and his mouth fell open. He had just taken broad, unilateral action while he had a senior officer on the Battle Bridge with him. His mind found itself racing; technically it was falling well within his prerogative at the time as being a security situation, but it was also a ship-wide issue and he had just... gone ahead and done his thing unilaterally. When he damn well knew this was not his strongest suit. He was already fairly pale-skinned, but he visibly blanched behind the console as sweat appeared on his forehead. He was in for it now... And rather than being unceremoniously relieved of duty or snapped at, the older woman had spoken gently and offered a correction rather than the admonition he had expected. And, in a lot of ways, it was even worse. He could relate to being barked at, yelled at, put on report for that screw-up. But he did not expect a chance to readjust himself... He tried to reply, but his mouth had gone dryer than the deserts of Vulcan and he found himself swallowing hard. "Yes, Ma'am. Sorry Ma'am. Won't happen again."But, thankfully, Lieutenant Quinn's voice on the comm rescue him from the current situation, and he turned his attention to the shield systems and saw the new components that had been installed and would now respond to his command input. When he ran the diagnostics, he frowned a little. "We have something that looks like multiphasic shielding available at your command, but until we get the power systems fully operational again, I can't give you more than 40, maybe 45% of nominal, and even if I had more power handy, no offence to Lieutenant Quinn or the Master Chief but this was a rushed job and not a shipyard install, so I really have no idea about the operating tolerances we can work with, or the kind of punishment the components can take. I'd... advise caution more than anything else."And, then, the word about a turbolift being primed as a trap came in, and he nodded. "If only we had internal sensors, that'd make our lives a whole lot easier, but at least, we have a good idea of where they'll be next..."

[Main Engineering -> Battle Bridge] K'Dex nodded to the Chief, and gathered a quick PADD before standing still. If so, I could divert some power from the consoles to force fields as ways to box them in for security." [Lt. =/\= [ Ens Joshua Niles - Battle Bridge, USS Mac ]As responses were starting to come from Security personnel to his station, Niles looked up when he heard Commander Eastman speak, and his hands froze. With so many things going on at once, Judy could've really used a clone right about now. But, as she settled back into her chair, she was on her own, in charge of all this. Well, other than the oh-so-helpful Mabel, who had taken a bit of initiative. =A= "Quinn, this is Henriksen. Engineering report the coil will be ready in 10 minutes," =A= she reported helpfully. After 6 months as Judy's personal assistant, she knew the Commander well enough to exercise judgement and step in on her behalf. =A= "Acknowledged, Crewman. Good luck," =A= the First Officer then curtly acknowledged Crewman Som. This freed her now to deal with the newly-arrived Caitian, and Ensign Niles, both of whom had their ideas. "I think we can check back in on that once Chief Ozu finishes working her magic," she gently addressed the concerns about their new shielding. "She's one of those miracle workers Starfleet engineering seems to put out every so often."Again, after a long period of service together (in this case, 6 years), there was a relationship of trust, the kind towards which Judy wanted junior officers to progress. "As for the shuttle sensors idea, you two, the prisoners are the only Arkarians on board, and they should be approaching a turbolift somewhere around decks 7 and 8. What can we do with that?" she asked. "Also, once that turbolift is occupied, I want it filled with Anesthizine."Still putting out the usual friendly display, the events of the day were starting to show on Judy. She was a little more tired - no more, no less, and in her case, tiredness manifested firstly in a slightly less gentle (but still very calm) manner of speaking.

Tag K'Dex , Isaiah Quinn and Joshua Niles . Soft tag Ozu Saya , Alex Graham , and Kaya Som . [Battle Bridge] K'Dex nodded as the commander gave orders. He raised an eyebrow at the Anesthizine request. It wasn't a terribly common request, and not a standard system. He considered how to accomplish it, while looking at the tactical officer. If they had it synthesized, and contained... and sensors able to detect the powered turbo lift. Glancing at the Ensign, he asked "I'll get the replicator here to synthesize a device, if you can get control of one of the transporter systems, and lock it in for the turbolift?" He didn't really bother waiting for a reply, as it seemed the easiest way of accomplishing it. He began tapping into the Engineering console, creating a new design file for the replicator, his claws clicking noisily against the glass. As his mind came into focus, designing a primitive gas canister with a timed release mechanism, he began to purr contentedly. Designing new things always brought a sort of calm upon himself. The gas itself was easy enough, as he simply had the computer pull the information from the medical records for the substance, and inputted a reference link to it. He turned as the replicator on the bridge hummed, and began to assemble his device. A simple round can with a timed valve release mechanism on the end, with the gas required condensed inside. Not enough pressure to break anything, but enough to suffuse the tiny area of a turbo lift in a second. K'Dex twitched his ears, and let his tail swish in pride, no matter the simplicity of the item. He bounded over to the replicator, and set the time for release on the device to 3 seconds. Should be plenty of time for proper transportation. K'Dex then padded softly over to the tactical officer, one claw pointing at a large green button. "Push, transport, and should be good I would imagine."

[Benor, Malko, Cheron | Sick Bay ][...] " Enough .... Her Father's courage and spirit was very much with her as she became determined to do what she had to do without the fear of possible death.[...] [...]“ She’s my patient,” he said, gesturing to the woman waiting for the tool removed from her side. “ It’ll go faster if I assist." He put his hands down and followed Chief Baker over to where he’d been standing before Sickbay was taken hostage. Malko's accellerating temper was sputtered when Baker defied his threats. Phaser to her head, even! It surprised him and he found himself watching as she and then another medic got up and began tending the whiney one. "What do you think this is," he protested. "You're hostages! Benor!"Benor looked over and saw the tiny mutiny. Malko's face was fit to be framed. Oh, little brother about to drop it all. She acted. In a swift motion, Benor stalked over, swiped the phaser from her brother and pressed it to Azaria's neck who was leaning over the patient. "One," she hissed down his neck, "medic only."Benor had ever intention to use force to enforce her instructions, but fate intervened. Cheron whistled sharply and snapped her fingers. "We've got wings! Wings, Benny! Can't we just? I'm well sick of the sickos."The terminal in front of Cheron showed a funny little light, a power fluxuation, a mote of luck. The turbolifts were coming online. Benor didn't need any explanation. "Move!" The sturdy Arkarian leader flexed her command with a sharp swing of her makeshift club against a bulkhead. She knew this would be their last move and all her ichor was running hot now. Malko grabbed Baker with both hands to complete the five-count party: three Arkarian fugitives and two human hostages were on the move again. Thea Baker Elijah Azaria

Isaiah Quinn - Deflector Control, Deck 11, USS Mac] Isaiah sighed in frustration. Perhaps it was the waiting that was starting to get to him. Truth be told, they had completed a great deal exceptionally fast, but the ten minutes that Mabel had mentioned seemed to be taking an eternity. He wasn't sure how much time had passed since he last heard from her, but it definitely felt longer than it had been. He had spent his time trying to tweak the internal sensors as best he could. He still had no idea where Thea was, but was clinging to the hope that she was safe in Sickbay. Still, confirmation couldn't hurt. Naturally, that was when inspiration struck. Quinn tapped his comm badge, half-kicking himself that he hadn't thought of this earlier. "Quinn to Battle Bridge," he said aloud. "I'm sure Chief Ozu's team is working hard and fast on everything, but I may have an idea of how to help with our internal sensor problem." He allowed a few seconds before continuing on. "Whatever the issue is, it's within the Mac's sensor array. However, the main shuttlebay is on Deck 7. We should be able to remotely access one of the shuttle's sensors to act as our own eyes within the Mac. At least up to about 120 meters?" It was a rough estimate, but he assumed that the bulkheads and some of the security fields they had in place could impede some of the readings. Of course it'd give them a much better view than they currently had. And with security measures in place, it was likely that only Commander Eastman and a select few could access the shuttles systems presently.

[NPC - PO1 S'Riia - Jefferies Tubes, USS Mac] S'Riia had split off from Kaya, confident that she had made her way to Engineering. She'd certainly make certain to check once this hell had ended. She quietly moved through the Jefferies tubes, moving through Deck 8. She had reached a hatch when her ears twitched. There was someone on the other side. S'Riia knew there wasn't really anywhere to hide. She had only one option: to attack and be quick about it. She positioned herself right up next to the door, but slightly to the side. She figure her best chance was to attempt to disarm them first, and press an attack. As the door parted, the first thing she saw the end of a phaser rifle. She leapt forward, trapping the weapon between her body and arm. Her tail, instinctively wrapping around the rifle's owner as she leaned back to gain more leverage. Though, she quickly realized that the arm didn't belong to an Arkarian. "Dolan?!" she said realizing that it was her colleague. Looking behind him, he saw Bishop, who's phaser was now lowering. The pair filled S'Riia in on the plan. After a speeding through the decks, S;Riia asked Dolan for his comm badge. She then pressed it and spoke into the air. Dolan was more than willing to pause for a breather and had quickly acquiesced to her request. =/\= "S'Riia to Niles. I've just rendezvoused with Security Team Three. They were en route to the Bridge. Is that destination still viable, or do you need us elsewhere? Presently we're around Deck... Three. Please advise." S'Riia looked down at Dolan who seemed winded. the Caitain made a note to recommend more drills that required the teams to commence with hurried ascents through the Jefferies tubes. On the bright side, if they were needed below their current position, going down would prove to be much faster.

[Sickbay - Deck 7] Even though her heart was hammering in her chest as if it was trying to escape, Thea had to push past that and the fear that the Arkarian's would do something to her, for not complying with their threats. Maybe it was her late Father's spirit or his personality traits that made up the rarely seen bravado and hidden strength within that was influencing her or simply it was down to her need to have everyone survive and to also see Isaiah again. That's what kept her moving and made her realise even more about how she felt and whatever the inspiration for her current attitude and determination, she was going to hold onto it and never look back. However when Elijah followed her lead and joined her at the bio bed, there was a small smile, a hint of pride conveyed to the Ensign, as he told their captors how it would go faster if he assisted Thea. Watching as he explained more about the patient and checked for a response, before she noticed the phaser that was now being pointed at his neck. " I guess they don't want us to do our job, Ensign" Thea said softly, knowing she could handle the patient as they became insistent that only one of them deal with it. Still she had to be ready to help Elijah out of this, without the trigger being pulled. Although it seemed as they had other ideas, when one of them announced that they had wings and it looked as though there was going to be a change of plan. This was proved further when her and Elijah were told to move and found herself being grabbed by the hands. As much as she didn't want to leave the patient, she knew that once they were gone, her staff would intervene and raise the alarm. There wasn't much that she could do now as they left Sickbay to whatever their next destination would be.
