[Mess Hall - Deck 2] The response then arrival of Shavan, was still very reassuring to Thea, knowing that she had been satisfied by hearing both his and Kellen's voices. But now that she had also physically seen them both, made it that more real and proof that they were definitely out of whatever nightmare that had threatened to trap them. Racing to a number of possibilities and conclusions or at least attempting to as Shavan asked Kellen what he had found out, before both men shared how they had escaped. Hearing that Kellen had been injured and how he had woken up with the same wounds, was disturbing and worrisome at the same time. Adding that particular piece of information to memory as something else to look out for with those that were still asleep. Then as the medical officer showed her and Shavan the results from his tricorder and explained what he had found so far, made Thea shudder slightly at how close the trio had been to being trapped as well. " From what you said about scratches still being present when you escaped, that's something we'll need to check for, to see if anyone else is showing signs of injury" Thea began as she considered everything. " We also know that three of us have escaped whatever is controlling or preventing the others from waking up, which leads us to what should we do next ...... in our shared nightmare we were headed to Sickbay to run scans ... that's something that we can still do, perhaps get the computer to confirm lifesigns too and put out a shipwide call to see if anyone else is awake unless we do a deck by deck check, which might take too long".Now was the time for action instead of being afraid and this was their chance to do that and hopefully save everyone before everything went to hell. [Mess Hall, Deck 2] Shavan listened as Kellen Gates confirmed that he had also been in a nightmare and woken himself up. He had already noticed that what happened in the dream affected the physical body. That did sound like bad news for anyone who might dream of being injured, but Shavan was mostly just glad he himself had made it out of there without serious harm. The tricorder readings also confirmed that everyone around them was stuck in a dream state. He agreed that the commander’s proposed plan of initiating a ship wide alert and going to sickbay was a logical course of action. Although examining and trying to wake the sleepers was more the medical officers’ area of expertise; Shavan was more concerned with finding the thing that was doing this to them. He nodded in agreement, having little else to say; she was the superior officer and he saw no reason to disagree. “That should tell us if anyone else is awake. I could also scan the ship for signs of an intruder, and check the external sensors for enemy ships, or anomalies, anything that shouldn’t be there. And maybe we should check the ships logs to see if anyone who fell asleep later noticed anything. We could split up to cover more areas.” he suggested. The more Shavan thought about it, the more things there were that could be done. Not to mention making sure the ship was still on course and functioning. The intruder might not be physically on board but there had to be some kind of trace, somewhere. [Petty Officer Kellen Gates - Mess Hall, Deck 2]Shared nightmare? Kellen Gates blinked, trying to digest this new information. Ms. Pennyless and the Evil Professor had been characters in a holonovel; they weren't people who were capable of dreaming. But Chief Ozu and Quinn, they were real, and they were on-board. They would have been caught in this same nightmarish web as the others, so did that mean they'd seen him in his gladiator garb? He tried to think about other things. "I noticed a few minor injuries as I scanned," he said to Dr. Baker, and then turned to gesture toward his klingon roomie. "Mehl is probably the worst I've seen so far, with a dislocated shoulder and multiple abrasions across her limbs." He had no idea what she would be dreaming about, but he could guess that it would probably be pretty violent. He wasn't as brave as she was, so Shavan's suggestion that they split up wasn't exactly an attractive one. Nevertheless they had a job to do, and until their people were conscious they'd have to remain on high alert. "Someone should check the bridge," he suggested, not immediately volunteering for the job. There was something a little more medical on his mind. "Chief, we should try and find out if there's any combination of therapies or medication that might make our people more aware of what's happening."

He heard the warning and ignored them. “Why so scared? This is Cake just need to solve this maze” Tom said overconfident as he put his hand on his hip. He was trying to walk like the adventure heroes on the holodeck with a different stride thinking he was the main character of a story. As he took a couple of steps he heard something behind him. “That’s not normal” . He slowly turned around when he observed a strange creature with multiple eyes screeching at them. “What the frack is that?!?!”. Tom yelled. The teenager appeared to be been scared and without thinking he panicked. He stood paralyzed with fear. He had never seen anything like this. [Sir Dugris "Doug" Zaman, MBE, PhD, JD, MBA, PE, RA - Nightmare]Teenage Thomas Jett had two evident, and in this case unhelpful, traits: he was a teenager, and he was Thomas Jett. Doug followed through the door, and immediately regretted it. These creatures were no friends of his. "Those are the Tritters. They don't like technology, and they don't like fire," Doug explained, for the benefit of the man who had turned into a teen and seemingly forgotten it all. Him, and the pantless fellow whom Doug did not recall from that ill-fated trip. "I probably have something in my pockets that can help," he supposed, and then began to rifle through the many pockets of his jacket. Out came a series of tchotchkes: coins, lens-cleaning fluid, a Kahless bobblehead, loose papers, a wooden novelty pen, cough drops, a Richard Nixon bobblehead, assorted bottle caps from different worlds, and finally, a holoprojector. "This could be helpful," he offered it up to Ellis. [Felicity Ellis - The Dream, Maze]She didn't think it was possible for anyone to be more obtuse than Thomas Jett, but it turned out that his teenage self had him beat. Under normal circumstances she likely would have found it highly amusing, but these were not normal circumstances. She was trapped somewhere, a dream that wasn't a dream, with what appeared to be individuals her mind had not conjured alone. Every fine hair on her body was standing on end and her heart was racing as this entire scenario triggered a physiological fight or flight instinct in Felicity. She hated all of this, yet she followed through the door. And then, that sound. Memories of their first trip to Kerelia flashed through her mind, each image containing one of those knee-height, sharp-toothed and noisy creatures. She whipped around, eyes narrowed as she tried to spot them in the dark. She had to resist the urge to grab the Kahless bobblehead and lob it at the skittering alien as it approached. Instead though she stilled, and carefully reached out to take the holoprojector. "Thank you, Sir Doug," she said quietly, finding that taking the time to remember her manners was helping her stay calm. She tapped the device a couple of times, then moved to the edge of the staging area and fixed it into a thick part of a hedge. Before stepping away she activated it, and a large group of humanoids appeared about twenty metres from their position. Tritters hated technology, fire, but they also had no problem tearing through anything that got between them and their target. She hoped the combination of the holoprojector and the holographic crowd it created would be enough to distract them. "How are you doing this?" She asked the thin air, overcome with a sense of righteous indignation. A better question might be, 'why'. Came the unhelpful, disembodied response.

He had no idea what she would be dreaming about, but he could guess that it would probably be pretty violent. "Chief, we should try and find out if there's any combination of therapies or medication that might make our people more aware of what's happening." [Mess Hall - Deck 2] Now that she had come up with the beginnings of a plan of action, Thea hadn't stopped thinking about those who were essentially trapped inside of their dreams and how she was determined to set them free, alongside Kellen and Shavan. For a brief moment, the CMO was reminded of the old fashioned crime fighting trios, fighting for not only their survival but also to restore justice and stop the very fabric of their existence from being destroyed. Of course this wasn't some TV programme or holo novel and despite what they had each faced in their own version of hell, this was real and they had to do something before it was too late. So as Shavan agreed with what she had said and how he could also scan for intruders and check the external sensors, as well as other avenues to look at, Thea appreciated the suggestions in order to be as thorough as possible in solving this mystery and bringing an end to this misery. Although the suggestion of splitting up to cover more ground, wasn't something that she was keen on doing, knew that it might be their only chance to do everything that they needed to do. That was something that Thea pondered as Kellen told her about the minor injuries that he had picked up from his initial scans and how Mehl's had been the worst he had seen so far. A look towards the Klingon Crewman, didn't stop the concern that Thea felt upon hearing that news, but didn't know what it would if they tried to move Mehl. " Let's do what we can for her, for now" she replied softly, before Kellen suggested that someone should check the Bridge. If they were to split then perhaps it made sense for Shavan to go to the Bridge, to run the scans etc, but with one proviso that they kept in constant contact. " That's not a bad idea, as much as I don't want to split up but Shavan is right we would cover more areas that way, Shavan if you go to the Bridge, you'll have access to all of the sensors and scanning equipment, we keep in constant contact and I can initiate the ship wide call" she said, her brain still turning with ideas as Kellen also mentioned about trying to find a combination of therapies and medication that could help their people until they could wake up. " Yes definitely we can do that, we can go to Sickbay and work on that, then if people do answer our call, then we can direct them where we need them to go".[Mess Hall, Deck 2] Shavan listened as the medical officers continued to form a plan and examined an injured crewman. Neither of the humans seemed happy about splitting up, but it made sense to do, and Thea agreed that Shavan could go to the bridge on the condition that they maintained communication. Which was fine. The way he saw it, given that whatever was controlling the dreams had affected the whole ship through their minds, it didn’t really matter where they were or if they were together or not. The danger would be the same. And he could be more useful on the bridge than in sickbay. Shavan took a breath. “Right, I’ll go to the bridge and keep the comm link open.” He pressed his commbadge to reopen the communications channel. “I’ll tell you as soon as I find anything.” There was no time to waste so with that, he turned to leave the mess hall. [ MCPO Ozu Saya - Shared Nightmare] Saya considered Isaiah's words carefully. The first thing she decided was that when this was over, she was going to find someone who could train her to use her empathic ability to whatever extent she was capable. I concur with the majority of your assessments. Though I am uncertain whether the entity's actions, or lack thereof, constitute a threat. My dream did not consist of anything I haven't dreamed of before, though the particular elements hadn't intersected previously. I...started out dreaming of Kyo and Evekh on my father's ship. It was pleasant. Then a faceless Cardassian appeared and killed Kyo. A harsh breath escaped her before Saya could continue. He could have been any Cardassian, but this one specifically referenced my parents. They were murdered by an agent of the Obsidian Order. To this day, the murderer has not been caught, and I have always wondered why I was left alive. It was still so difficult to speak of, even after nearly twenty years, but anything could have significance in these dreams. She turned her face away from the other officer and examined the door, stepping around the frame to look at it from the other side. Finally, Saya reached out tentatively and touched the door. It appeared solid. We could still attempt to wake ourselves, but if this being is intent on observing us, it may have a way of preventing us from waking. Perhaps, for the moment, it is best to follow the prompts being provided. She moved her hand from the surface of the door to the knob. [Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - Shared Nightmare] Isaiah listened intently to what Saya was sharing. She wasn't convinced that the entity, if that's what was keeping them in this shared dream, had sinister intentions. Isaiah was prepared to argue otherwise, but as a scientist he knew that he needed evidence. Of course, the only other source of information while in this dream state was what Saya's experience. He listened as she explained how the dreams she experienced were actually familiar. It actually caused him to think of his own experience. He may not have had dreams of Thea dying, but it was certainly a growing fear after several of the past missions. "You may be on to something," Isaiah said while musing. He had lowered his feet form the desk and began to stand. "The images that we've had to confront came from us. It may be possible that it's not trying to harm us. Still, why focus on such dark thoughts that provoke emotions like pain and fear?" The questions was more rhetorical than not, as he assumed Saya likely had as many answers about this entity as he did. His eyes moved towards the door once more. As he did so, he could hear Saya suggesting that entity could keep her from waking. He took a deep breath as his eyes moved towards the door that had appeared. He wasn't exactly fond of the idea of continuing to move through this maze of emotions, but perhaps she had a point. He took a deep breath as Saya's hand moved towards the knob. He nodded slowly and started to move towards it. "For the record, there's always a monster behind the door in all the Earth holo-horrors," he stated. Isaiah then swallowed and shrugged. "Just saying."As the knob was turned and the door was opened, Isaiah made the decision to step through first. Hoping that this door was the exception to the typical rule of horror.

The StrangerKaya Som.The voice echoed and bounced off the close stone walls of the passageway. Shadows from every corner began to pull together, a void of darkness growing, elongating, until it became the form of a man. For these dreamers there were many doors. I can help you. [Deck 5 - Elijah's Quarters] [Shared Nightmare] Elijah watched the two versions of Kaya argue, unsure as to who was actually her, if she was real at all. He couldn’t thathom why he would dream of her at all, but here they were. When one walked away and the other turned to him, he pressed his hand tighter against his waist, the pain - though oddly real - grounded him. Her hands are cold. Elijah abandoned his wound and enveloped Kaya’s cold hands in his own warm ones. Anxiety continued to coarse through him, making the back of his neck sweat despite the change in temperature from his parent’s house to this… hospital corridor. Kaya was in a hospital gown and Elijah frowned, looking about for a blanket to wrap around her. He was about to remove his shirt for her to wear underneath the gown when he heard a name, her name, vibrate around them. He surveyed the area around them, gripping Kaya’s hands but not enough to possibly hurt her. “ We should go,” he said, contemplating lifting her and carrying her down the corridor in the same direction other Kaya had gone. The voice spoke again and Elijah turned, looking for a threat. A shadow man? He couldn’t put his finger on the feeling or how he knew what it translated to, but he was beginning to suspect that this nightmare wasn’t his. “ Stay back,” he said to the shadow, finding strength in protecting someone else. “ I won’t let you hurt her.” Elijah had taken her hands. Kaya stared at them. This wasn't right. Part of Kaya's consciousness began to notice, that half-sense in earliest dreaming where you were aware that you had one foot awake and one foot asleep. Elijah didn't belong here and neither did the lightness voice, the Stranger. "I don't think so," Kaya said to the Stranger, and gently took her hands back from Elijah. It was like her brain was putting her perception of the dream on pause, the naive confusion of the dream took a break. She spoke to Elijah as if it was an aside in a play. "Ignore it. See what it does." Then she saw it. "Are you bleeding?" Felicity Ellis Elijah Azaria

He pulled a hypospray from his medkit and once he'd loaded a vial of anti-inflammatories and set the dosage, he pressed it to Mehl's neck. After spending a minute or two on her more minor injuries, he snapped his kit shut and straightened up. He nodded to Dr. Baker, signalling his readiness to move. Together they could see to any serious injuries they might encounter on the way to Sickbay, and perhaps discuss a more solid course of action. He followed his boss a few decks below, noting that power, turbolifts, and sensors seemed to be all in working order, despite the overall feeling that this ship was like a ghost.

[Mess Hall - Deck 2] As Kellen moved off to help Mehl, Thea knew that the Petty Officer would do everything he could to at least keep the Klingon officer comfortable until they could get her to Sickbay. When Shavan then prepared to leave for the Bridge and promised to not only keep a comm link open but also let them know as soon as he found something, it did give the CMO some piece of mind that they were making a stand against whatever this was. " Great and we'll do the same once we have something".Their plan had lit a fire under Thea, knowing that they likely faced a race against time to help the rest of the crew find a way to escape just like they had. So once Shavan had left and Kellen was ready, she led the way to Sickbay. Happy to find that all of the systems were still working which would definitely save precious time. It did feel a little strange not to encounter anyone in the corridors and she tried not to think about it too much as she needed to remain strong. [Sickbay - Deck 7] After what had been a quick yet eerie lift ride, Thea emerged onto Deck 7. Again noticing how spooky it seemed, speeding up her usual pace to get into the familiar safety of her Sickbay. There was no surprises when found two of the nurses asleep in weird positions as she turned to Kellen. " I'm beginning to think that we're the only ones awake, which might make things harder but I'm not about to give up just yet" she admitted as she walked over to the main Sickbay computer. Quickly accessing the database, Thea paused and looked at Kellen again. " Now we need to figure out what treatment we can use to help the others, perhaps administer it via the ship's environmental systems, once we have something suitable ... thoughts?".Thea always valued the input from her staff as she was far from perfect and besides she enjoyed working as a team with those who were part of her department.

[the dream-maze] This all seemed to be confusing him and he had more questions than answers to the questions that he had. Why was this mysterious stranger able to do this and what did the stranger want from us by doing this? He kept calm as he waited to see if the solution was going to work or not. Maybe they should probably have a back up plan in case the one that they are using doesn’t exactly go as planned. [Felicity Ellis - The Dream, Maze]"Why!?" Felicity asked then, her eyes flashing from Graham, to the young Jett, and finally Sir Doug. Her charges. No matter how they ended up under her care, it was her duty to ensure they remained whole. A familiar resolve bubbled up inside of her. You must complete the test.Test? The tritters were upon them and for a moment she thought they were out of time, but then something else occurred to her. "Nobody move!" She told the others, her voice raised with the order. "Stay exactly where you are." Then she turned her stare up toward the sky to where those eyes had been before. "Show yourself. Explain your purpose here. Until you do, I think we'll be passing on your little quiz."The attitude was a gamble, of course, but she was beyond asking nicely.

He liked puzzles and games a lot, but normally when he played chess the pawns on the board weren't his crewmates. "It is hard to know what to try if we don't know what is causing this, or what we're dealing with, Chief. Maybe Shavan can help us with that?"He moved toward a console and affixed his tricorder atop it, transferring the scans he'd taken earlier. "Right now though, I think we can use the scans I took of the sleepers in the Mess to discern who is unconscious and then once we have all the locations, we can monitor remotely. Anyone who doesn't match the criteria we can assume is awake, and begin directing them somewhere, like you said."

Felicity asked then, her eyes flashing from Graham, to the young Jett, and finally Sir Doug. [Sir Dugris "Doug" Zaman, MBE, PhD, JD, MBA, PE, RA - Nightmare]Doug chose, he thought very wisely, to remain quiet now. Captain Ellis probably had her reasons for playing this as she did, and as he collected his things, Doug processed and realized that she was probably making the right play. These powerful beings usually liked to toy with lesser ones, such as themselves. They liked to make their inferiors dance to their strings, do a little jig, stand on their heads, whatever it was. Depriving them of that could be a path to freedom, or death, but it was a less likely path to continued captivity; one typically threw out a broken toy, not a satisfactory one. Doug clasped his hands behind his back, and stood quietly.

[Bridge] It was a bit weird being on a ship this large and this empty. The whole place had an air of abandonment. But Shavan was able to find his way to the bridge with no trouble, as the ship’s systems all seemed to be functioning normally. He kept his guard up but encountered nothing other than another sleeping crew member slumped over on the floor of a corridor on Deck 1. The doors to the bridge parted, revealing a couple more members of the night shift asleep at their stations. Outside the windows, there was nothing but the void of space. Everything was quiet until the ship wide alert sounded, seeming louder than usual in the emptiness. =/\= I’ve reached the bridge. It’s the same situation as in the mess hall. =/\= he reported as Thea had told him to maintain communication. Shavan quickly walked to an unoccupied console and started running scans. =/\= Sensors have detected no intruders on board. =/\= It was the obvious first thing to check, but the results weren’t too surprising given the nature of what they were dealing with. It would likely be better to search for any unusual energy readings rather than focus on corporeal lifesigns. And.. there was something. =/\= I’m picking up traces of psionic energy throughout the ship. If we can find a way to disperse it, maybe that would disrupt whatever’s preventing the crew from waking up. =/\=

Tag: Ozu Saya , Felicity Ellis (The Stranger) [ MCPO Ozu Saya - Shared Nightmare] That is a fair point, Saya said as she turned the knob and pushed the door away from her. However, a sample of two does not a pattern make. Perhaps others have had happier dreams. The door swung wide and there was a confusing glimpse of walls and flashes, then the view settled into a straight path hemmed on either side and overhead by plant life. Well, Saya said with a raised brow. This is unexpected.
There are others...somewhere, she added tilting her head and trying to hear the distant voices better. As with most of her Vulcan physiology, her hearing was better than a Bajoran's but not as good as a Vulcan's. About the only thing she'd inherited in full measure from her Vulcan side was the Pon Farr. I suppose if we are to follow the prompts, we should see where this leads.

About the only thing she'd inherited in full measure from her Vulcan side was the Pon Farr. I suppose if we are to follow the prompts, we should see where this leads. [Lt. (j.g.) Isaiah Quinn - Shared Nightmare] Isaiah nodded, agreeing with Saya's logic. Just because the two of them had similar experiences didn't mean the others had as well. Mathematically, speaking, if you only had two points, you had no way of knowing the proper way to connect them. A straight line... a curve... or perhaps there is no defined value between them at all. And that lack of knowledge seemed to suggest that they needed to find the rest of the crew mates. And that wasn't going to be done from where they were. As Saya opened the door, Isaiah's eyes watched as what once appeared to be walls, seemed to give way to a series of flashes that instead left them with a grove of sort. A lush wall of plants, intertwined even overhead. The Vulcan-Bajoran seemed to think this was unexpected. "Yeah? Remind me suggest a few horror films when we get out of this," Isaiah responded. It was certainly an optimistic notion, but he wasn't planning to endure his final moments in some weird dream. As Saya said before, they needed to see to the well being of the rest of the crew. He needed to make sure that Thea was all right. Saya also made the observation that they weren't alone. He attempted to listen, and could only hear what sounded like distant voices. Nothing he could really discern. "It could be the others," he hypothesized. Of course, it could be something to lure them deeper into mortal peril. "Agreed. Let's get moving then." He took the first steps forward, moving quickly, but cautiously as he tried to navigate the maze, moving closer to the voices, though yielding to Saya's guidance as her hearing was certainly better than his own.

[Sickbay - Deck 7] It quickly became obvious to Thea that Kellen was as equally frustrated with the current situation as she was, even with the subtle shake of his head, in answer to her question. Besides he was right, how could they even attempt to figure out what was needed if they didn't know what was causing it and hoped that Shavan would soon be able to give them some much needed answers. " You're right Kellen we don't and hopefully Shavan's scans are successful in giving us the information we need".She was far from feeling completely defeated and yet was thankful to the Petty Officer when he then transferred the information he had taken from his tricorder to one of the consoles and made his suggestion as to what they could use them for. It was certainly better than nothing and would give them something to do in the meantime. " Good idea, it's definitely worth a try and if we do find others awake, we can direct them here or somewhere central".Now all she had to do was just remain calm, despite the nagging worry that kept clawing at her insides about Isaiah and once this was over, nothing was going to stop her from booking some time away for the both of them. That and seeing him again, seemed to do the trick as the shipwide alert went off and smiled, despite everything relieved that Shavan had gotten to the Bridge. Or least that's what she had assumed, before the science officer contacted them as agreed. Thea looked towards Kellen as she listened to what was being said, taking it all in about the lack of intruders and how he had also picked up traces of psionic energy, as well as his suggested idea as to how they could potentially try and disperse it in order to get their people back. =/\= It's possible that there's still some kind of intruder and that they're the ones responsible for the psionic energy ..... but I agree if we can find some way to disperse it then it should hopefully allow our people to wake up ... Thea paused as an idea came to her, one that could possibly work with her earlier idea and spoke to both men. =/\= What if we administer a telepathic suppressant in gaseous form and use that to disperse the psionic energy? ... it should work in theory to block any telepathic hold that the crew is under =/\=

Tom was confused by that creature and thought of running away. However, he remained with the group. He observed how Sir Doug gave items to Flick. And then the Stranger spoke to them about a Test. Tom listened to the order to stop and wondered.
“Flick, I can take the test myself. I am sure I can pass anything if I set my mind into it. Besides this thing might have my mom.” . The Teenager commented. He would take a step forward if no one would stop him. Ready to face the test.

Elijah had taken her hands. "Are you bleeding?" The StrangerLimited beings, came the voice, addressing the pair that had denied it. I see all, I go everywhere. You will complete my test.Their surroundings began to shift. Walls shimmered and faded, sterile stone replaced by lush, dark-green flashes. Soon the maze materialised. In the distance, they might hear other voices raised in screams, shouts, questions. Familiar voices of their crew, all stuck in the four corners of the overgrown trap. [Deck 5 - Elijah's Quarters] [Maze]
Elijah’s brows drew together and Kaya’s words but he heeded them. It felt like this place was her’s, like he was intruding on a space that she’d found first but still belonged to no one. He watched the shadow figure, waiting for something to happen. He’d forgotten for a brief second that he was bleeding and that the wound hurt. He pressed his hand to it again with a grimace. He thought to answer her but then the creature was speaking, or at least Elijah assumed it was.
Test? What test? What was happening?
When the walls faded to reveal a maze, Elijah’s senses came back as much as they could in the unconscious. He remembered who he was, his wits returned and his face resumed composure. Something was toying with them. Something had used his fears, played with him, pushed and prodded to see what he’d do. He clenched a fist in anger, clutching his side.
“Why are you doing this?” He asked. “What do you want?” Felicity Ellis Kaya Som

[Petty Officer Kellen Gates - Sickbay]"Running the scans now..." Kellen Gates confirmed to the Chief Medical Officer as he worked. Only a few seconds later, he was receiving the results. "Chief, I've located 42 signatures that do not match the delta waves of the sleepers in the Mess. I'll open up a channel for you, it might do them some good to hear your voice." He could only imagine that most of them would have been rudely awakened from terrifying nightmares or uncomfortable dreams. Then Shavan's update came through, and he found himself feeling relief that the science officer had reached the bridge unharmed. It was also really good for their chess game to know that there was someone in the brain of the ship. He listened to the exchange between he and Baker, all the while trying to think of a way they could disperse the psionic energy, even temporarily. =/\= "That should work, in theory," he said to both of them as he returned to the console and began pulling up the extensive medical database. He continued, musing aloud, "Everyone's physical bodies are still here, so even though something powerful has a hold of their minds, that doesn't mean they can't mentally be impacted by physiological stimulus. A high dosage of calanite, the neuro-stimulant, maybe?" =/\= He looked to Chief Baker to see what she thought. Then, wheels still turning, he spoke up again, this time directly to his science counterpart on the bridge. =/\= "Would a resonance burst help?" =/\=

Never know true harmony. Never experience existence without limits. You are narrow creatures.
One by one, the tritters faded away. Shadows began to gather in front of the young dreamer, and a billowing claw-like hand reached out. Before it could touch Thomas Jett, the wispy tendrils of black smoke dissipated. Take the test, the voice encouraged. [Felicity Ellis - The Dream, Maze]Before the response came, Felicity had taken the few silent moments to try and recall if she'd been as much of a moron as Jett had been when she was a teenager. Perhaps as obnoxious; she had always been a bit of a know-it-all. Thomas Jett was another level exasperating, though. "Don't move," she repeated in a steady voice, realising then that feeling frustration with the willful youth was a waste of energy. "This is a farce. It isn't able to give you your mother back."And then it answered her, and her mouth fell open slightly with shock. As she recovered she considered the air of superiority, the judgement, the idea that they could just be forced into performing at this being's whim. Felicity was beginning to hope that this was just a bad dream, after all. "Perhaps we are in the dark. Perhaps we are narrow. But every creature has the right to choose what path they want to take; whether that leads to enlightenment, or not. You are giving us no choice."She didn't think that was all very peaceful, herself. She waited to see if the others would have anything to add.
