|Blue Beta Bar and Grill || Xander | Sherry X.|"Right." Xander agreed. He headed over to the chiller and took out what would expire first working quickly to keep as much of the cold air in as possible. He starting mixing this with that, blending my hand. Any ice had to be smashed with a mallet and thus he couldn't achieve a fine crush. But these were strange circumstances. He made a number of pitchers and placed them on the bar top. He then entered the pantry and acquired some snacks. A range from sweet to savory to salty. "I think we might as well make this as pleasant as possible. I hope it doesn't take too long for the power to restore. Do we have a back-up generator?"Meanwhile, Sherry followed Jack back into the warehouse where she was shown the solar powered decorations. She picked on up and examined it with her little light. "Oh, how hideous." she lamanted. "Nothing to be said for it. Then again, one can't expect a little backwater station to show any kind of refinement and class." She sighed and picked up a few more until her arms were full. But now she couldn't use her little light. "Jack, darling. Escort a lady will you?"Tag Thea Baker [ Seamus & Jack - Blue Beta] Seamus knew that by having something to focus it would keep the panic at bay or at least that was the idea. Although once Xander acknowledged him and began to salvage what he could from the chiller and pantry, Seamus was confident that his plan to keep things as normal as possible given the situation was the right one. So once the ice was flattened and the pitchers were made up, along with the various snacks that Xander had brought out, the Irishman smiled as he then commented on making it as pleasant as they could. " I agree, that's my plan and now we just need to take them over to the dining area once we have the solar decorations in place, I know the kitchen will be bringing out what's already made as well".If there was one thing about an emergency in the bar, no one would be hungry or thirsty whilst they waited for things to return to how they were supposed to be. When Xander then mentioned how he hoped that the power wouldn't take to long to restore and asked if they had a back up generator, Seamus thought about it for a moment then answered the other man. " I hope so too and we do, but I'm not sure if it's working as it should of come on by now, maybe once we've taken these drinks and snacks over we can go take a look at it".****************Jack wasn't sure what to make of the lady who had offered to help them fetch the solar decorations from the storeroom, especially when she commented on the aesthetics of said decorations. They didn't do tacky at the Blue Beta, so for now kept quiet as she cast further dispersion's about the station. Besides his mother had always taught him, if you couldn't say anything nice then you didn't say anything at all and so just nodded whilst grabbing the remaining decorations. When she then asked for him to escort her, due to her arms being full, Jack answered in his friendly Irish accent. " Certainly Ma'am" He replied, adjusting his own flashlight and began leading the way back towards the bar. Once there he helped the rest of the staff start putting the decorations in various places, giving the bar a slightly blue tinge as the lights activated.

Xander nodded. He opened up more stores and made plates of food and set them out for the patrons already there. The whole situation wasn't good. And a catastrophe like this just didn't happen by accident. There must have been some sort of attack. Sherry had returned with an armful of glowing table decorations. She began to set them on the tables. "Jack." she said, "Perhaps if there were bar games to play. I hear places like this have all sorts of unsavory games. But in a situation like this, it might be best to entertain people too."
Xander rolled his eyes as he watched her set the lights up. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a flicker of a shadow cast upon the wall. He turned to look, but nothing was there. He turned to face Sherry. She was standing in the ray of the light as she bustled about doing her thing. He headed over to a table with a small family sitting there. The youngest child, a small boy looked scared. His parents were trying to sooth him. Xander smiled at him and pulled out a small fuzzy worm thing from his pocket. It was a fidget toy he sometimes used to help with his anxiety since he was shot and gave it to him. "Here. Put in on your finger. Turn your finger over and it'll crawl around to the other side."
The boy smiled and his parents gave the tattooed man a nod. Xander then headed back over to Seamus. "I'm sure they are swamped, but do you think we should contact ops?"Tag Thea Baker

|Science Lab || Crewman Alice Duff |Balling her fists, thinking she was under attack from the Andorian she rose her hands ready to defend herself. But her face turned as red as her hair, that is if there was enough light to see it, when she realized that Shavan was trying to put out a small fire that was trying to take root on the top of her noggin. "Heh." she laughed nervously, "I guess I used too much hair spray." of course this was a lie. Her hair was much too unruly to be tamed by gorilla glue. Suddenly a panel fell out of the ceiling and smashed into the console sending sparks and glass flying everywhere. Alice screamed and covered her head again "Holy forkin' shirt-balls!". She uncovered her eyes just in time to see Shavan starting to extinguish the fire. The light flickering off his stoic and brave frame as he gallantly fought the fire. She let off a small gasp and blushed again. |Promenade || Opal Peridot || Max Bennigan |Opal didn't move. Before her, just a little ways off a little girl screamed and was crying. "M...MONSTER!" From what little light there was from the crystals she was wide eyed with terror and it was clear what had her so frightened. Opal spoke quietly and calmly "I only look like a monster. See, I'm backing up. Stay calm." she moved back into store front. She quivered. The girl cried again. "M...mom! where are you?" In the distance a woman spoke "Baby, where are you? Stay where you are!"Opal addressed T'Laara. "Could you go sooth the child. I frightened her."
Max returned with an armful of crystals. Opal addressed him. "Set a circle of crystals up out there on the main level. People should see it and hopefully will gather. Once people have calmed down assure them that I'm not a monster please." [ Shavan Th’zhaar - Science Lab] After finishing extinguishing all traces of fire, including the source of the sparks that caught Alice’s hair, Shavan took two flashlights from the emergency kit and walked back over to Alice, offering her one. He climbed up and sat on the dead computer station facing her. Was her face a shade redder? He smirked a little. Though this wasn’t exactly his usual idea of sparks flying while alone with a cute girl (or guy) in the dark. The commander’s announcement came through, telling everyone to stay calm, stay in place or wait for orders. “Looks like we’re stuck in here until the power comes back… how should we pass the time?”_______ [ T’Laara - Promenade] T’Laara felt a flash of.. annoyance as she realized that the scream hadn’t come from anyone who was actually in danger. And that the child was calling the horta who had just been nice to her a monster. When Opal spoke from the shop doors behind her, asking her to comfort the child, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to. Or if she knew how. “That is not a monster.” she said stiffly. Of course, it was illogical to expect young children to know better, so T’Laara tried to explain more gently. “This is Opal, she lives here and runs this store. She is Horta, and is as much of a person and no more a monster than you are.”
To the approaching mother, and a few other people that were still walking around, she said, “The Shining Quartz is offering light and a place to wait out the blackout for any who wish.” Then after listening to the announcement, went back inside to help Max and Opal. Tag Sven Aune |Science Lab || Alice Duff |
Alice quickly composed herself and pulled her uniform down. Though, she did now sport a rocking chard spot in her bushy hair. She walked seductively over to the Andorian with her hands on her hips. Once she crossed the distance she sucked on her finger. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe we could play something freaky-geeky." she spun his chair and stopped it with him facing away from her. She whispered in one ear "Truth or..." and moved to the other, "...dare." she spun him back around so he was facing her. " So, truth or darn Mr. Andorian."
* * * * * * * * * * * * * |Promenade || Opal Peridot | Some people left in the dark started to gather around the glowing stones muttering their thanks. A couple of flashlights cut through the gloom and made their way over. A pair of security personnel had arrived. They asked if everything was alright. The little girl seemed to have composed herself. Opal emerged once again. "Yes, I think everything is okay. "T'Laara and Max have been most helpful." One of the other security guards nodded. He spoke, "Do you mind if we bring others here?" The Horta replied "Not at all." She moved to the outside of the circle. She could see perfectly well in the dark. If seeing is what it could be called. "Perhaps we could tell some stories to pass the time away."Tag Shavan Th'zhaar

| Security office || lt. Sven Aune | Sorrin Mar'kin |[...] "It is illogical to panic right now. Pause. Center yourself and take a breath." he offered in as much of a pseudo-screaming calm voice as possible setting aside his petty differences. He had heard that Aune was knocked unconscious. "If I heard correctly he is unconscious? Can you take his pulse?" He would work on finding a way to open the door. [...] Now, it was time to bring some calm to everyone. =A= "All station residents, this is Commander Eastman. Main power on the station has failed. We want you to know first of all that Life Support systems are secure. Temperature, breathable air, and gravity will remain controlled. We will lower temperature slightly, so I recommend that you all wear a sweater or other outer garment. As we work to restore power, I ask of all civilians to please stay where you are if it is safe to do so. If not, search for teams of Starfleet personnel on your deck that can assist you. Personnel on duty should expect orders soon on how they should proceed, provided their situation permits it. Starfleet personnel not currently on duty should attempt to contact their direct superiors promptly, so that they, too, can be assigned to help us resolve this situation. Most of all, we want you all to know that the only priority of this crew right now is to protect every being on this station. Please, be careful." =A= [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Security Office, Promenade, Front Ear Station] The growing illumination was the first sign that her pleas for help had been heard. Of course, with it arriving in the form of Sorrin, it's possible that some of the natural enthusiasm faded. She pushed her personal feelings from the Vulcan aside to address his greeting. "I'm not panicking. I'm trying to get your attention," Kova stated. She assumed it was rather obvious why she had called. The trail of blood from his nasal region was concerning enough. "I think he was struck by some debris. The blood isn't a good sign. Terrans do not fair well of internal injuries... especially to their craniums." To be such a boastful species, Terrans were surprisingly fragile. Even one the size of Sven. The Vulcan told her to check for a pulse. She rolled her eyes, but reached out nonetheless. She wondered if Sorrin was allowing his personal feelings to influence his professional judgement. Her fingers searched his wrist and then the side of his neck for his pulse. "It appears weak. He needs medical attention. Grab the medical kit."She waited for the Vulcan to comply. As she did, the sound of Eastman's voice rang out. She listened as the Commander explained what was going on. In Kova's opinion, the executive officer appeared to be in the dark as much as the rest of them... clever pun totally intended. "Federation stations don't just lose power," Kova remarked. "Accidents of this magnitude don't just... happen.
Tag: Sven Aune (& Sorrin) | Security office, promenade || Sven Aune | Sorrin Mar'kin |Sorrin did as he was told. By a civilian contractor no less. Sorrin did tilt Sven's head to the side, just in case he upchucked and wouldn't drown in his own vomit. "This is highly irregular." he said agreeing with Kova, "Accidents of this magnitude do not, as you said, just happen. There are check, counter checks, contingency and back-ups for the back-ups. It is logical to conclude that this was an attack. I would not put it past the Nyberrite alliance. [ Domen Kyo - Park] Kyo watched Saya's flashlight bob away into the dark. It jiggled crazily for a minute while she removed a panel and started down the shaft that ran adjacent to the turbolift. Once the light disappeared, he turned back to the group and took Evekh to the table to get him some food. Kyo's own stomach was too knotted up to try to eat.
Soft tags Leanna Mazal and Judith Eastman[ Chief Ozu Saya Park --> Engineering] Saya climbed steadily downward, flashlight clutched between her teeth. Every few levels, she paused to give each hand a break by turns. Thankfully, it was almost a direct route straight down. Finally, she was stepping off the blasted ladder in a Jeffries tube that led into engineering, with mental curses and promises do do more upper-body workouts. She crouched and pushed out the panel, ducking her head to duck-walk into the chaos that was engineering without power. It took a minute for anyone to notice her, as there were flashlights and headlamps bobbing all over the place, casting crazy shadows and making it difficult to actually see anyone. Chief! several voices called out as the engineers finally noticed their leader's presence. Someone slowed down enough to report, We've almost finished inspecting the power core. Other than some blown plasma conduits, everything seems fine. We haven't had a chance to try looking at the computer systems for, I don't know, a virus? Some kind of corruption. There's no physical reason for the power core to have shut down.Very well, Saya said with a nod. Continue your inspection. Also disperse teams throughout the station. There are blown EPS conduits that are causing fires, and the fire suppression systems don't seem to be working. Since the computer is down, there's no way to track them from here.
I'll see if I can access the computer.Saya stopped by a storage locker, then headed to her office, forcing the door open, and connecting the portable power cell she'd picked up to her computer before sitting down. The door stayed open, but there was no point in worrying about it. This way she could keep an ear on what was going on but still have a little quiet to focus. The portable power let her fire up the console, but she had a long, tedious day ahead of her manually checking subroutines, since there wouldn't be enough power to run a diagnostic.

Fatax was disgusted, both by the expired Commander's announcement, and by the continued mistreatment of him. He'd offered a bribe, and they refused him, again! Was there a single right-headed person in the Federation? "All Ferengi businesspeople are representatives of the Grand Nagus[fn]This is an unconventional legal argument being taken by Fatax's defense attorneys[/fn], ergo diplomats, despite what your Harmon and his bosses say! As a Ferengi businessman, and a profitable one, I have rights!" the Ferengi entrepreneur squealed. "You don't have the time or hands for this! Unhand me, fee-male!"Sometimes, Fatax wished he'd chosen to leave when Parsinp did. He'd never have been caught under that wonderful hyoo-mon's purview! [ Ensign Neme, Medical (bio) | Sickbay ]Fatax had, in so many words, chosen the path of hinderance and would need to be dealt with. They did not have time for this. "A phaser would be wise," Neme agreed. "If Mr. Fatax's containment has breached it's possible the brig is compromised. I would think it prudent to inform security of our situation." Neme was not one to over-manage lower-grade crewmates, instead prefering some self-sufficiency especially in an emergency. Neme's attention was better spent on their area of expertise. "I trust you can handle him until a more permanent arrangement can be made. Meanwhile we'll stay together." It was not a question. With that, Neme nodded towards the door and led the way out of the medical lab. They were only a few paces down the corridor to main Sickbay. It was of course in the same utterly deactivated state. In this late hour, only a skeleton crew remained and they were already at work preparing medkits and tending to the handful of in-patients. "Status report," Neme asked of the nurses and medics. "Oh, Ensign Neme, right. Well, everything's down," answered Shadid. "There was a fire but it's out. Patients are stable, nothing serious. Prepping to send a team out, some of us will stay.""Has anyone contacted Dr. Lunn?" "We tried, nothing yet."Neme nodded. "That's fine. Keep trying." "Oh! Alhamdulillah, you found him!" Shahid had just noticed Fatax. "Indeed." [ Cwm Eliska Bremmer - Into Sickbay, Front Ear Station ]
"How about your right to remain silent," growled Bremmer at the Ferengi's latest round of stupidity. Seriously, the man was really starting to grate on her nerves and she'd just about had enough of him, and at the word to move out, with her in charge of the prisoner, she was less than gentle in getting him under control, winding her arm under his and around his back to get a solid grasp on the back of his neck and so bending him forward. To the Ensign's orders, she offered a nod. "Aye Sir, I got him. As for security, in case of a power failure every door and maintenance hatch leading in or out of the security complex will mag-lock shut and it's crawling with armed people, I'm not too worried."Their way into Sickbay was short, and once they entered one orderly expressed his gladness at knowing the Ferengi had been found, and the Nova Kosicean Crewman glared at him. "Yes, and now he's all yours. Until we've got power back, you should keep better hold of him. Do you have something to knock him out for a while? If you don't, I can oblige."Seeing how the room was well-enough staffed as she handed Fatax to the medics, Eliska turned back to the Ensign. "Sir, I think I should head back out there. Until I get specific directions, I should go to the civilian residential areas. No offence, but you Federation folk get really squirrelly when you're in the dark, and scared people get stupid really fast." Judith Eastman (Fatax), Kaya Som (Neme)

[ Leanna & Ariana - Park, Deck 6] After receiving the flashlight and glowstick from Judy and once Ari had hers attached to her wrist. The second youngest Mazal, took herself off to the food table, waving her arm and admiring the colour the glowstick produced, leaving her Mother as if they hadn't been plunged into almost darkness. Leanna loved her daughter's attitude despite how traumatic this could be and not just for the children. Watching as Ari began helping herself to the food with a little help from Max as Saya returned from putting out the conduit fire and explained what they needed to do, should there be any further issues. " We'll keep an eye on it" Lea replied, before Saya also suggested that Judy stay and how she would attempt to get to Engineering. Adjusting Aven in her arms as Saya and Kyo spoke to one another and had a private moment, until Saya left them and Judy's grandchildren echoed their sentiments about remaining where she was. " That's very true Micheal and it looks as though Ari is having fun up at the food table".With the baby a little more secure and the flashlight in no danger of falling, Lea went over to the food table as Judy contacted Ops and made a station wide announcement. Again this was something that Lea had been used too, thanks to the last few years spent on Starbase Sierra and now Front Ear. Having faith in the command team and Starfleet to figure it out and rectify the problems and would help where she could. For now she focused on Ari and the others as Max then commented about how calmer he was already. " I get what you mean Max and this will be a party that we won't forget".[ Domen Kyo - Park] Kyo watched Saya's flashlight bob away into the dark. It jiggled crazily for a minute while she removed a panel and started down the shaft that ran adjacent to the turbolift. Once the light disappeared, he turned back to the group and took Evekh to the table to get him some food. Kyo's own stomach was too knotted up to try to eat. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, & Grandchildren - Park]Judy still had a little work to do. =A= "Eastman to Henriksen. Check in with the Science Labs. It's a long shot, but they might know something." =A= Max was inclined to agree that they would not forget this day one way or another, but he supposed that this was not for the better. Judy's mothering of the crew didn't end on their death, and an incident like this - if things went wrong - could weigh down on her very heavily. As a dutiful husband, he worried for her. However, as a grandfather, he had to maintain a happy environment for the grandchildren. "May I please have some cheese?" Michael asked, with the impeccable manners he saved for his grandparents. Before Max could ask Lea to lend a hand, Judy stepped in. "You serve Mikey, I'll do something for the lighting," she said, and Max could tell the gears in her head were turning. "Aye," the Chef accepted, giving Michael a sampling of the different cheeses. Judy, still an engineer by training and in her mindset, improvised a proper light fixture. She used two leaves and some tape to shade the flashlight, and then looked over to Kyo. "You see that branch over there? Could you use a glow-stick to hang this up there, as a little lamp?" she asked him, and then handed over the little contraption. Behind her, Max, having served Michael, silently began to massage her shoulders. Elsewhere, Helen wanted cake. "Ari's Mom, can I have cake?" she asked, and then quickly added, "Please?"
Tag Leanna Mazal and Ozu Saya [NPC - Ens. Mabel Henriksen - First Officer's Quarters]As the adult in the room, if only by a few years, Mabel had taken charge. While the Eastman-Williams children retrieved supplies, the Ensign checked for fires. Now, she had orders. =A= "Yes, ma'am," =A= Mabel acknowledged. Her boss's voice was like a beacon of calm, a reassuring sign that while Mabel was the adult in the room, there were real adults on the station managing things. =A= "Henriksen to the Science Labs. Commander Eastman was wondering if you have any theories," =A= she reached out, as instructed.

[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Security Office, Promenade, Front Ear Station] As Sorrin returned with the med kit, he immediately confessed that his medical knowledge was limited to combat triage. Kova wasn't exactly a medic either, though she suspected they had comparable experience. She conceded the responsibility to the Vulcan. It wasn't as if she wanted it. In fact, the only thing that she wanted was to get out of here. Her eyes looked in the direction of the door. It seemed like the only way to get someone the size of Sven out of the office and to Sickbay. "Can you stabilize him or not?" Kova asked looking towards Sorrin. Whatever differences she and the Vulcan had would have to take a backseat for the time being. Sorrin did seem to agree with her that it was unlikely that this was an accident. Of course, as a typical Vulcan he was prepared to point the finger at anyone but himself. The Nyberrite Alliance seemed to be the appropriate scapegoat. "That's the most asinine accusation I've ever heard," Kova stated. "Why are you all so ready to point the finger at the Alliance anyway? What would they have to gain from this?" The Andorian rolled her eyes. She wasn't really interested in answer. Instead, she was more preoccupied with getting them out of there. "Are there any exits to this office that you all decided not to trust me with?"

"I'm sure they are swamped, but do you think we should contact ops?"Tag Thea Baker [ Jack & Seamus - Blue Beta] Ignoring the unsavoury comment as the Blue Beta wasn't that type of establishment, Jack set about activating the rest of the decorations as he thought about the idea of bar games and keeping their patrons entertained. Finally after setting the last decoration, the Irishman turned to Sherry and gave her his answer. " That's not a bad idea, I should be able to get some playing cards as everything else game wise is up on the mezzanine level and I don't think pool or poker will work at the moment".As interesting as it would be, they had already used what they could find light wise in order to keep the bar lit up as much as possible until either the power came back on or the back generator decided to work. ***************With Xander putting together more of the snacks from the storage unit and the Kitchen staff bringing out what they had already made and setting it all out on the empty tables. Seamus could relax a little in the knowledge that their customers and staff wouldn't go hungry or thirsty whilst they waited for things to return to normal. Mentally ticking off his checklist as Xander headed over to one of the tables and the last of the solar decorations added more light to the immediate area. At least no one should hurt themselves or trip over, he thought before Xander returned and asked if they should contact Ops. " We can certainly try then we'll go and check the back up generator, see if we can get it to work" Seamus replied as he went over to the communication panel. Although before he could activate the comm, Commander Eastman's voice could be heard as she delivered a station wide announcement. Seamus listened to it and turned to the other man, " All we can do now is wait for them to restore power and to be careful, also we're prepared should more people find their way here, so let's go to the back up generator".Seamus then led the way towards the back of the bar and towards the larger storage area behind Lea's office.

{Spoiler} [ Cwm Eliska Bremmer - Into Sickbay, Front Ear Station ] [...] Seeing how the room was well-enough staffed as she handed Fatax to the medics, Eliska turned back to the Ensign. "Sir, I think I should head back out there. Until I get specific directions, I should go to the civilian residential areas. No offence, but you Federation folk get really squirrelly when you're in the dark, and scared people get stupid really fast."[NPC - Fatax - Lab near Sickbay] [...] "This is abuse! I'll press charges!" he shrieked, before being carried off to a biobed and sedated.
Exit Fatax. [NPC - Lt. j.g. T'Sunis - Ops]The half-Vulcan, half-human LT J.G. had been caught in the restroom by the power outage, but had made it to Ops to resume her shift as the officer in charge. Do not wait for Dr. Lunn. Ops out." =A= "Do not wait for Dr. Lunn" was a standing order for emergencies, preemptively signed by Cmdr. Eastman for reasons unknown, and irrelevant, to T'Sunis. [ Ensign Neme, Medical (bio) | Sickbay ]=/\= "Neme to Ops, acknowledged." =/\= Neme wasted no time and little breath following the orders, which were in line with what their recommendations would have been. Crewman Bremmer was proving to be more than satisfactory, as well, (although she talked too much) so Neme was content to include her in their location medical team. "Panic is of evolutionary benefit to many species," Neme told Bremmer as they were packing up. "Some have yet to move beyond it. Your presence will be helpful." Not waiting on Dr. Lunn was no problem for Neme, who found him an expert physician but prone to aforementioned evolutionary panic under pressure. The nurses and medics already in sickbay had made good process breaking out the mobile medical kits, so Neme had three small medical teams equipped with orders in no time. "Bremmer and I will proceed directly to the Promenade. You two take Deck 3, and you three take Decks 11-15. Stay alert and in contact with security." Just as they headed out, Neme checked their wrist-mounted flashlight and phaser one more time. Nurse Shahid handed them a heavy pry bar. "In case of debris. We've heard explosions.""Thank you. [NPC - Fatax - Lab near Sickbay]In the face of such indignity, Fatax didn't muster words. He just screeched indistinctly and very loudly. One could be forgiven for thinking him insane; in fact, one might well be right to think him insane. At last, he was released. "This is abuse! I'll press charges!" he shrieked, before being carried off to a biobed and sedated.

While preparing to head out, grudgingly strapping tricorder to her wist and much more willingly stashing a few additional flashlights and a few emergency tools into a kit, Eliska found herself trying to repress a scowl. Vulcans, really, were not that different from the rest of the members of core Federation worlds: the moment things weren't quite the way they considered nice and orderly, they tended to get flustered... not that they'd admit to such a thing. She was hardly an expert on the species, but those she'd come across so far had all seemed so calm and collected, until they were out of their comfort zone. Though, truth be told, being stuck in a multi-megaton coffin in the dark was hardly the kind of thing Bremmer would find enjoyable herself. In fact she found it terrifying. The idea of having no safe harbour as they were hanging out in hard vacuum was less than pleasant. Give her a planetary surface to work with, she would be well into her element. Even out on an EVA if she knew there was a nice safe airlock to go back through or a transporter lock on her. But with just about every system down, that was more than a little stressful. She had been ready to head out when the Ensign's commbadge chirped, and Ensign Neme decided to grab her to head out to the Promenade of all places. Well, that was as good a place to go as any, and it had the benefit of being close. However, something was telling the Crewman that just climbing up one deck would be the least of her worries, so she bent down and pulled up her pant legs to reveal, and then deactivated the ankle weights she'd been wearing; the thoroughly modern devices were adjustable, and when powered off weighed more than a few ounces each, a negligible mass in the mere 1g of the station. That, and she had point, no less. Well, hopefully the Ensign would be able to keep up with her... "Aye Sir, taking point."And, with that said, she made for the nearest access hatch to the Jefferies tubes, and started her way up to Deck 9, the Promenade's lower level. At least it would be a good place to start once they'd get there.

| Security office, promenade || Sven Aune | Sorrin Mar'kin |Sorrin did as he was told. By a civilian contractor no less. He walked over to the security locker and pulled out a med kit. "I do not have a medical background." he stated as a fact. "Only simple combat triage. So unless you have more experience, I will continue." Sorrin wasn't being diplomatic. He was being pragmatic. If Kova had hidden skills in medicine than she should be the one to play medic. Talks did not go so well with them."Sven moaned, but he remained deep under the water of his consciousness.
Tag: Sven Aune (& Sorrin) |Security office, Promanade || Sven | Sorrin |Sorrin felt a pang of annoyance and hastily stuffed that into his Vulcan no-no box to be ignored for all eternity. Andorians were so prone to missing the obvious. It was clear that by her defense of the alliance, she was still a member, or at least sympathetic to their ill gotten cause. But he wasn't going to point that out. Right now. He moved over the large man and begun to administer first aid. He used a pre-loaded hypo, and started to administer resuscitation techniques. "Yes, I believe so." he said as he placed his hands on the man's chest. "Bragging rights." he offered. "There were battles fought for less." he said. "But, you have a point. It was the Romulans." he said raising a brow when Sven coughed. The large man's eyes fluttered open. His vision was blurry and everything was dark. He could hear Sorrin say "And no, there are no secrete entryways into the security office. "What could possibly be on your planet that forced your species to evolve with such heightened sense of suspicion and skepticism?" Sven moaned again "Where am I? What happened?" Tag Kova Sh'qaleq

|Blue Beta Bar and Grill || Xander | Sherry X.|
Xander nodded. He opened up more stores and made plates of food and set them out for the patrons already there. The whole situation wasn't good. And a catastrophe like this just didn't happen by accident. There must have been some sort of attack. Sherry had returned with an armful of glowing table decorations. She began to set them on the tables. "Jack." she said, "Perhaps if there were bar games to play. I hear places like this have all sorts of unsavory games. [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Security Office, Promenade, Front Ear Station] It wasn't a surprise to Kova that the Vulcan had an answer for everything, even if it wasn't a very good one. Of all the reasons he could have given, he settled on bragging rights. It seemed rather shallow for a representative of the benevolent Federation. He then went on to bring the Romulans into this. The only thing that Kova knew for certain is that this was typical Vulcan behavior. Everyone was at fault except the pointy-eared, green-blooded logicians. The only good sign was the cough that left Sven's lips as he began to open his eyes. For some reason a hint of relief washed over Kova. She chalked it up to no longer being alone with the conspiracy-theorist Vulcan. He remarked that there weren't any secret entryways into the security office. As if she could possibly trust anything he'd say. He then accused her entire species of being skeptics. "We're skeptics?" Kova scoffed. "We're not the ones spying on neighboring systems from monasteries. Andorians weren't the ones that stifled the pink-skins' exploration of space out of fear that they ruin the status quo." Kova rolled her eyes. "Hell, you don't even trust yourselves. Anything that's taboo to your 'logic' is disgraced. Early mind-melders... persecuted. Co-mingling with non-Vulcans... outcasts. And right... the Romulans. Exactly how many light years did your distant cousins put between you all millennia ago?"It was a debate she was certain she'd put to rest. Nevertheless, it was Sven's questions that refocused her attentions. "It looks like there was some sort of disruption or overload in the power relay systems," Kova surmised. "I think it caused some debris to hit you, knocking you unconscious. Power is out all over the station. Life support and comms are still up. And... we're stuck here... together." The last word was uttered as she glared over at Sorrin.

[ Leanna & Ariana - Park, Deck 6] She may of tried to lighten the mood slightly with her comment, but in reality it was mainly for the children's benefit as well as an attempt to remain calm despite the oppressiveness outside of their small lit bubble. Even as Kyo joined them with Evekh and Michael asked for some cheese, the Betazoid had to bring up her mental shields at least for now. Ari had managed to fill her plate herself, before Judy intervened and mentioned that she would do something about the lighting. Lea was definitely intrigued about what Judy would do as she helped Ari with the cheese and appreciated the effort that was being put in to make things as comfortable as possible whilst they waited for things to return to normal. However when Helen then asked her for some cake, Lea turned her attention to the little girl and smiled. " We'll do the big cake soon but come with me and we'll have a look at the other cakes" she said softly as she led the way to the dessert table, Ari following them and when they reached the table, she said loudly. " Helen, look there's unicorn cupcakes, ooh Mama is that chocolate and strawberry ones too?"." It is, once you pick one we can go sit down and don't forget your drinks too"." Yes Mama, I'm gonna have a unicorn one".Lea smiled, knowing how much Ari loved unicorns and once they were settled on the blankets, she would put Aven in his stroller whilst she got some food.
