Alice quickly composed herself and pulled her uniform down. Though, she did now sport a rocking chard spot in her bushy hair. She walked seductively over to the Andorian with her hands on her hips. Once she crossed the distance she sucked on her finger. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe we could play something freaky-geeky." she spun his chair and stopped it with him facing away from her. She whispered in one ear "Truth or..." and moved to the other, "...dare." she spun him back around so he was facing her. " So, truth or darn Mr. Andorian."

Opal emerged once again. "Yes, I think everything is okay. "T'Laara and Max have been most helpful." One of the other security guards nodded. He spoke, "Do you mind if we bring others here?" The Horta replied "Not at all." She moved to the outside of the circle. She could see perfectly well in the dark. If seeing is what it could be called. However, she was saved from having to say so by a Klingon in the crowd, who, typical of her people, stood up and took to the task with enthusiasm. While the words of a traditional story caught the crowd's attention, T'Laara walked around the circle, ending up next to the Horta again as the Klingon finished speaking. “If you don’t mind my asking.. do your people have stories like that?” T’Laara asked Opal. Obviously the Horta did not have the same type of language as most of the people here, but she wondered if there was anything else that could possibly translate. Or what Opal might be up to sharing about her own life. Tag Sven Aune , Judith Eastman (Mabel)

[Throughout the Station]At various locations on the station, beings may, out of the corner of their eye, see “shadows”. These do not really qualify as shadows, as they do not reflect any object on the station, and are not affected by any light source. When one focuses one’s eyes on a “shadow”, scans it with a tricorder, or otherwise attempts to capture, measure, and note its existence, the "shadow" disappears without a trace. The "shadows" vary in shape and in size. The main commonality is their swift disappearance.
OOC: Players are free to decide if their characters see "Shadows", and to describe these sightings. The GMs ( Sven Aune and myself) are happy to clarify any concerns or ambiguities with writing them. |Security office, Promanade || Sven | Sorrin |Sorrin felt a pang of annoyance and hastily stuffed that into his Vulcan no-no box to be ignored for all eternity. Andorians were so prone to missing the obvious. It was clear that by her defense of the alliance, she was still a member, or at least sympathetic to their ill gotten cause. But he wasn't going to point that out. Right now. He moved over the large man and begun to administer first aid. He used a pre-loaded hypo, and started to administer resuscitation techniques. "Yes, I believe so." he said as he placed his hands on the man's chest. "Bragging rights." he offered. "There were battles fought for less." he said. "But, you have a point. It was the Romulans." he said raising a brow when Sven coughed. The large man's eyes fluttered open. His vision was blurry and everything was dark. He could hear Sorrin say "And no, there are no secrete entryways into the security office. "What could possibly be on your planet that forced your species to evolve with such heightened sense of suspicion and skepticism?" Sven moaned again "Where am I? What happened?" [ Kova Sh'qaleq - Security Office, Promenade, Front Ear Station] It wasn't a surprise to Kova that the Vulcan had an answer for everything, even if it wasn't a very good one. Of all the reasons he could have given, he settled on bragging rights. It seemed rather shallow for a representative of the benevolent Federation. He then went on to bring the Romulans into this. The only thing that Kova knew for certain is that this was typical Vulcan behavior. Everyone was at fault except the pointy-eared, green-blooded logicians. The only good sign was the cough that left Sven's lips as he began to open his eyes. For some reason a hint of relief washed over Kova. She chalked it up to no longer being alone with the conspiracy-theorist Vulcan. He remarked that there weren't any secret entryways into the security office. As if she could possibly trust anything he'd say. He then accused her entire species of being skeptics. "We're skeptics?" Kova scoffed. "We're not the ones spying on neighboring systems from monasteries. Andorians weren't the ones that stifled the pink-skins' exploration of space out of fear that they ruin the status quo." Kova rolled her eyes. "Hell, you don't even trust yourselves. Anything that's taboo to your 'logic' is disgraced. Early mind-melders... persecuted. Co-mingling with non-Vulcans... outcasts. And right... the Romulans. Exactly how many light years did your distant cousins put between you all millennia ago?"It was a debate she was certain she'd put to rest. Nevertheless, it was Sven's questions that refocused her attentions. "It looks like there was some sort of disruption or overload in the power relay systems," Kova surmised. "I think it caused some debris to hit you, knocking you unconscious. Power is out all over the station. Life support and comms are still up. And... we're stuck here... together." The last word was uttered as she glared over at Sorrin.
Tag: Sven Aune (& Sorrin) |Security Office, Promanade || lt. Sven Aune | Sorrin |Sorrin raised that iconic brow, "Really Kova, emotional outbursts such like this will be your undoing. It is a fact that Andorians are an impulsive race unable to logically work their way through a situation without melting down into some sort of explosive temper tantrum, like the common 3 year old. And considering your race had technology that could lay waste to entire city populations from orbital bombardment perhaps you could ask yourself this question. If your neighbors had that ability, and were prone to explosive irrational fits of rage, wouldn't you keep an eye on them?" he said in his most condescending logical voice. Sven moaned again. He was only awake for less than 5 minutes and had a throbbing headache, and this argument wasn't helping. At all. "Yes, we all have problems. And we all suck. Stop pointing fingers. You two can duke this out some other time." He rubbed his head. "Everything is out?""As the Andorian pointed out, sir." Sorrin was feeling a bit put off, but he wouldn't ever admit that. That emotion was also stuffed into this Vulcan no-no box. He moaned again. stood, and headed over to a emergency locker. Took out a small engineering kit and a torch for himself. Sven walked over to the door. It was clamped shut. Without electricity, there was no way to disengage the high power interlock clamping mechanism easily. Fortunately, there were in the office portion, so access to said locks were on their side. He pried open a hatch and shined a light into the bowls of the mechanism. As he ascertained what did what and theorized what circuit ran what he caught something out of the corner of his eye. It was a large shadow cast upon the wall. He looked at it, but there was nothing there and he felt his heart race. The large man set his tools down and looked at Kova and Sorrin. Given that they were behind their lights. He pointed to them, then the wall trying to work out what he saw. Tag Kova Sh'qaleq |Science Lab || Alice Duff |

Tag Sven Aune , Judith Eastman (Mabel) |Science Lab || Alice Duff|Alice was having fun, and her idea of truth and dare was more on the geeky side of things than freaky. She like to throw curve balls just to see how people reacted to it. She was just about to respond with "I dare you figure out what's happening to the station," when some Henriksen woman interrupted their quasi, most likely psuedo improv-date. She groaned and tried to bat at the offending communicator and was, as best as she could, sound distant and quiet enough not to be heard over said communicator. "Science lab has no theories, because they are a bunch of nerds reading manga and LARPing!" The meer fact that she knew what manga and LARP was, would raise quite a few suspicions. "Well, Andorian science man. How are you going to pull us out of this one?" she teased setting her light down on the desk and casting it against the wall. She stood in front of it and started to pose. Super exaggerated sexy poses just to be silly and distracting. "Chhh boopa chhh, yah, boopa chaa chaa..." she sang in rocking her shoulders. However, for a moment, there was an additional shadow on the wall just out of the corner of Shavan's eye. Of course she didn't see it and proceeded to continue her silly poses! +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+|The shining quartz || Opal Peridot|
Her suggestion was taken with great enthausam by a Klingon. That didn't surprise her. They were a race that loved thrilling stories of daring-do and romance. A passionate people with large appetites, and as much as they wouldn't admit it, hearts for their loved ones.
The Vulcan had asked her if she had any stories. She quivered in the dark, a kind of response meaning yes.
"In a way. We are not a race that thrives off conquest. But rather cooperation. It's in the silicon of the Horta. And after the No-Kill-I incident, we Horta began to hatch from the Chamber to renew our cycle of life. But this time, and with contact with the Federation we proceeded to help with mining operations. More like, how to mine responsibly and safely. But humans are not built to survive in the deep grounds. One particular accident had 27 federation miners trapped. It was a terrible situation. Banning together we were able to safely get them out so those miners could go back to their families. Horta too have strong family ties."
She sat motionless in the light casted by the crystals. "What about you? Any stories." Tag Shavan Th'zhaar

[ Leanna & Ariana - Park, Deck 6] After receiving the flashlight and glowstick from Judy and once Ari had hers attached to her wrist. The second youngest Mazal, took herself off to the food table, waving her arm and admiring the colour the glowstick produced, leaving her Mother as if they hadn't been plunged into almost darkness. Leanna loved her daughter's attitude despite how traumatic this could be and not just for the children. Watching as Ari began helping herself to the food with a little help from Max as Saya returned from putting out the conduit fire and explained what they needed to do, should there be any further issues. " We'll keep an eye on it" Lea replied, before Saya also suggested that Judy stay and how she would attempt to get to Engineering. Adjusting Aven in her arms as Saya and Kyo spoke to one another and had a private moment, until Saya left them and Judy's grandchildren echoed their sentiments about remaining where she was. " That's very true Micheal and it looks as though Ari is having fun up at the food table".With the baby a little more secure and the flashlight in no danger of falling, Lea went over to the food table as Judy contacted Ops and made a station wide announcement. Again this was something that Lea had been used too, thanks to the last few years spent on Starbase Sierra and now Front Ear. Having faith in the command team and Starfleet to figure it out and rectify the problems and would help where she could. For now she focused on Ari and the others as Max then commented about how calmer he was already. " I get what you mean Max and this will be a party that we won't forget".[ Domen Kyo - Park] Kyo watched Saya's flashlight bob away into the dark. It jiggled crazily for a minute while she removed a panel and started down the shaft that ran adjacent to the turbolift. Once the light disappeared, he turned back to the group and took Evekh to the table to get him some food. Kyo's own stomach was too knotted up to try to eat. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, & Grandchildren - Park]Judy still had a little work to do. =A= "Eastman to Henriksen. Check in with the Science Labs. It's a long shot, but they might know something." =A= Max was inclined to agree that they would not forget this day one way or another, but he supposed that this was not for the better. Judy's mothering of the crew didn't end on their death, and an incident like this - if things went wrong - could weigh down on her very heavily. As a dutiful husband, he worried for her. However, as a grandfather, he had to maintain a happy environment for the grandchildren. "May I please have some cheese?" Michael asked, with the impeccable manners he saved for his grandparents. Before Max could ask Lea to lend a hand, Judy stepped in. "You serve Mikey, I'll do something for the lighting," she said, and Max could tell the gears in her head were turning. "Aye," the Chef accepted, giving Michael a sampling of the different cheeses. Judy, still an engineer by training and in her mindset, improvised a proper light fixture. She used two leaves and some tape to shade the flashlight, and then looked over to Kyo. "You see that branch over there? Could you use a glow-stick to hang this up there, as a little lamp?" she asked him, and then handed over the little contraption. Behind her, Max, having served Michael, silently began to massage her shoulders. Elsewhere, Helen wanted cake. "Ari's Mom, can I have cake?" she asked, and then quickly added, "Please?"
Tag Leanna Mazal and Ozu Saya [ Leanna & Ariana - Park, Deck 6] She may of tried to lighten the mood slightly with her comment, but in reality it was mainly for the children's benefit as well as an attempt to remain calm despite the oppressiveness outside of their small lit bubble. Even as Kyo joined them with Evekh and Michael asked for some cheese, the Betazoid had to bring up her mental shields at least for now. Ari had managed to fill her plate herself, before Judy intervened and mentioned that she would do something about the lighting. Lea was definitely intrigued about what Judy would do as she helped Ari with the cheese and appreciated the effort that was being put in to make things as comfortable as possible whilst they waited for things to return to normal. However when Helen then asked her for some cake, Lea turned her attention to the little girl and smiled. " We'll do the big cake soon but come with me and we'll have a look at the other cakes" she said softly as she led the way to the dessert table, Ari following them and when they reached the table, she said loudly. " Helen, look there's unicorn cupcakes, ooh Mama is that chocolate and strawberry ones too?"." It is, once you pick one we can go sit down and don't forget your drinks too"." Yes Mama, I'm gonna have a unicorn one".Lea smiled, knowing how much Ari loved unicorns and once they were settled on the blankets, she would put Aven in his stroller whilst she got some food.
tag Judith Eastman Ozu Saya[ Domen Kyo - Park] Kyo set Evekh down with his own plate of food and nudged him to sit with the other children. Go eat, he encouraged, while I help Aunt Judy make some lights for us.The toddler walked carefully over the grass to a blanket, where he bent down to set his plate down before sitting himself. Evekh had learned that trying to sit with a plate would end with the food all over him and the ground. Because all of the adults were calm, Evekh had quickly quieted after his initial fright of the lights going out. Ari! Come sit! the three-year-old said somewhat imperiously, patting the blanket next to him before grabbing a chunk of cheese from his plate and stuffing it in his mouth. Meanwhile, Kyo headed over to Judy, smiling at the older woman's ingenuity. He was able to easily hook the makeshift light over the high branch of the tree. It wasn't a lot of light, but at least their little area was illuminated.

An engineer had come by to report that there was nothing wrong with the power core. Well that was good. If she could just get through checking the subroutines... She paused to straighten her back and take a sip of water from the bottle someone had brought her, then rubbed her eyes. When she took her hands away, Saya noticed something out of the corner of her eye and turned sharply. There was nothing there, as far as she could tell, and even with her intense focus on the computer, she was facing the door; there was no way anyone could have crept by her into the office. Saya shook her head, chalking it up to mental fatigue, and returned to staring at line after line of code.

" We'll do the big cake soon but come with me and we'll have a look at the other cakes" she said softly as she led the way to the dessert table, Ari following them and when they reached the table, she said loudly. " Helen, look there's unicorn cupcakes, ooh Mama is that chocolate and strawberry ones too?"." It is, once you pick one we can go sit down and don't forget your drinks too"." Yes Mama, I'm gonna have a unicorn one".Lea smiled, knowing how much Ari loved unicorns and once they were settled on the blankets, she would put Aven in his stroller whilst she got some food.
tag Judith Eastman Ozu Saya [ Domen Kyo - Park] Kyo set Evekh down with his own plate of food and nudged him to sit with the other children. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams & Grandchildren - Park]Helen was slightly disappointed, but cupcakes would satisfy her for the moment. "Cupcakes are good, for now," she accepted, still with an eye for birthday cake. For now, a strawberry cupcake would do. Granted, it was with three cupcakes in hand that she walked back towards the blanket. Michael, cheese in hand, sat down on the carpet, at the foot of the stroller of his little brother Benny. "Mike, why's it dark?" the youngster asked. "Something happened, a mal-func-tion," the older brother articulated. "Auntie Saya will fix it, and Grandma will keep us safe.""We stick together?" Benny fretted. "Yes."Michael had great faith in Starfleet, especially in the two members of it closest to him - Judy and Saya. He channeled that confidence to reassure his own brother. Simultaneously, Judy and Max retrieved more food. "What's on your mind?" he whispered to her, as they filled one plate with sliced fruit, and another with cheese. "This doesn't just happen. I must have missed something. Deferred maintenance, hostile..."He put a finger to her lips. "I won't allow you to blame my wife," he whispered aggressively. Judy chuckled, and Max knew he had played his cards right. Praise of Judy's administrative talent and thoroughness would sound empty to her coming from him, but humor always worked. They approached Benny's stroller and their cusions. "Here, big boy, why don't you sit with us?" Judy adoringly invited the toddler as she unfastened him from the stroller. He, naturally, agreed, and soon sat beside his Grandparents, with a piece of cantaloupe. With Max once again rubbing her back, and plenty of cheese available, Judy could've allowed herself to withdraw into a shell of comfort. Truth be told, she wanted to. However, she had a job to do; there was a whole population on this station that didn't have the relative security she was enjoying here, now. =A= "Eastman to the Promenade security office. If it's safe enough to do so, coordinate a search of the Promenade for businesses in good enough shape to provide temporary shelter for residents. Anywhere that has chairs, no plasma fires, and a working door is good," =A= she ordered over the comm. She expected a few quarters had been burned, and a restaurant would be a safer, more pleasant place to ride this out than a cargo bay. Michael, also with his food, thought in a different direction. "We should sing the Birthday song," he suggested.

[ Jack & Seamus - Blue Beta] Despite the obvious bored voice and how Sherry continued to paint her nails by the dim light provided by the torches and solar decorations that now provided some comfort to those who remained. Even the remark made towards the Ferengi only added to her charm further as she then asked if he played Tongo. " I've dabbled a little with Tongo and you're right it is exciting, Sherry, I'll be back shortly" Jack replied, as he left Sherry to her task and made his way towards the supply room, knowing it would take him a little longer to find what he was looking for. ***************** With the aid of his wrist light, Seamus followed Xander over towards the generator, silently praying for some good luck. But the moment Xander looked at him and admitted that he didn't know to work it, Seamus realised that he hadn't shown the newbie, everything and vowed to rectify that properly once this was over. For now it would be a crash course as he moved closer in order to help. " It's supposed to be easy but like everything so far, we're definitely being tested" Seamus admitted, as he used the light to try and locate the activation panel. After several curses including a few Klingon ones, Seamus had to call defeat. " Nope it's not going to work ... I was hoping it would but it was worth looking at, let's get back and see to the customers, then I'll call Ops".******************* [ Ariana & Leanna - Park, Deck 6] The moment Evekh called to Ari and asked to her to go sit with him, she was off as fast as her legs and plate of food would allow her. " Yes, Evekh" she called back, before she managed to reach him, her glow stick bouncing until she reached her friend and carefully sat down beside him. With her daughter happy and Helen content with the cupcakes for now, liking the young girl's tenacity when she took three, Lea decided to settle Aven now that the other children had gotten what they wanted for now. Listening to Michael and Benny as she passed by them, whilst Kyo helped Judy with the light, before the couple themselves sat down with food. Everything seemed normal almost or at least it was them making the best of a bad situation as Lea placed Aven in his stroller. Moving him close to the others and hearing whispered conversation. It was understandable before it changed as they got Benny out of his stroller and Judy made further contact with those outside. As she walked back to the buffet table, movement out of the corner of her eye, caught her attention and wondered if it was simply the shadows playing tricks on her. Another look and everything appeared as it was before. So Lea shook her head and continued, filling her plate and returning to the others as Michael suggested they sing the Birthday Song. " We can if you like, we have lots of time for songs and pass the parcel".

[...]She had been ready to head out when the Ensign's commbadge chirped, and Ensign Neme decided to grab her to head out to the Promenade of all places. Well, that was as good a place to go as any, and it had the benefit of being close. However, something was telling the Crewman that just climbing up one deck would be the least of her worries, so she bent down and pulled up her pant legs to reveal, and then deactivated the ankle weights she'd been wearing; the thoroughly modern devices were adjustable, and when powered off weighed more than a few ounces each, a negligible mass in the mere 1g of the station. That, and she had point, no less. Well, hopefully the Ensign would be able to keep up with her... "Aye Sir, taking point."And, with that said, she made for the nearest access hatch to the Jefferies tubes, and started her way up to Deck 9, the Promenade's lower level. At least it would be a good place to start once they'd get there. [ Ensign Neme, Medical (bio) | Promenade ]Neme and Bremmer made good time climbing through the station and tracking along pitch-black corridors. More than once, Neme had the sensation that their honed Vulcan senses were playing tricks which, of course, they never did. [fn]Shadows...![/fn] When the combination medical/security team broke out into the Promenade, the feeling was much different than in the more constrained passages. Voices echoed against the bulkheads in a darkness broken with flickering lights both nearby and in the distance. Here at the station's heart, it was as alive as it ever was, just in a different way. From where they stood, Neme took a few steps into the open and began scanning the open, multi-level space with the flashlight. Tiny things cast big shadows and small movements were amplified. The promenade had been transformed both by the light play and systems damage. "The Blue Beta," Neme nodded, training the light on the popular gathering place across plaza. "We'll start there." Begin with the highest concentration of possible need, then work out from there. [ Cwm Eliska Bremmer - Sickbay -> Blue Beta Bar ]
The Promenade might start but one deck above Sickbay, but it was not a short trip, not in pitch darkness. And while she was used to being out without real light as the outdoors enthusiast she was, Eliska was finding herself uneasy in this situation. In the bowels of the station, with no windows, the dark was entirely unrelieved save for their lights; and the silence was oppressive. Normally the starbase would be humming with power and activity, a constant low level of sounds that permeated the entire facility. But with life support barely functioning the ventilation was less than a whisper, power conduits were not pulsing with their constant rhythm. It was entirely too still for her taste, and it made the hairs at the back of her neck stand on end, the same way they would when bird song and the chirping of small animals back home on Nova Kosice would end when a predator came near. It all simply felt wrong, and the Security Crewman felt as though there were eyes on her, as though she was being hunted, stalked. The same kind of feeling she experienced when one of her homeworld's predators had decided that she as a camper and hunter would make for a tasty snack... Which meant that even though she was walking point, she would stop often to shine her light towards where she thought she had perceived movement, even drawing her weapon and aiming it in the general direction when that half-sensed presence hadn't responded to her initial challenges. Well, perhaps it was just nerves getting to her... When they had finally reached the Promenade, she had taken the time to open up her shirt's collar. It was a symbolic gesture as her uniform was hardly hampering her breathing, but she simply felt better that way... and there was something just tickling her fight-or-flight responses... and she was edging much closer to the 'fight' side of that equation. If only she knew what it was... She was certainly glad she had no real decisions to make save for the path they had taken to reach the station's social heart, and when the Ensign called for their destination, the Blue Beta bar, Bremmer nodded in the dark. "Understood."That had been a shorter trip, and there were lights within which was a good thing. However, as they neared the door, Bremmer called out. "Security, coming in with a medic. Everyone all right in here?"

[ Leanna & Ariana - Park, Deck 6] She may of tried to lighten the mood slightly with her comment, but in reality it was mainly for the children's benefit as well as an attempt to remain calm despite the oppressiveness outside of their small lit bubble. |Science Lab || Alice Duff|Alice was having fun, and her idea of truth and dare was more on the geeky side of things than freaky.
Any stories." [ Shavan Th’zhaar - Science Lab] Shavan was starting to wonder if his universal translator was malfunctioning, because it felt like he didn’t understand half the things Alice said. He rolled his eyes. Just as he was going to inform her that he had no idea what manga and LARPing were, and that he was only half Andorian, something moved in the corner of his vision. He turned sharply, to look at.. nothing but a shadowed wall. His antennae twitched as he continued to stare into the dark for a moment, before looking back towards Alice, and the shadows cast by whatever silly thing she was doing now. Which he watched, amused, for a moment. Before realizing that didn’t line up. Instinctively Shavan picked up the tricorder again and scanned the empty space. Nothing. So instead he walked over to the doors, which he suddenly had the urge to open. He had nothing else to go on in terms of figuring out what had caused the power surge, but could at least do something to get out of this room if needed. He shone the light on the locking mechanisms. The heavy seals were shut tight, seemingly trapping them in the room. Fortunately, Shavan had a history of breaking into things. “Don’t worry, I’ll save us with nerdy science stuff. No problem.” he said sarcastically, before using some improvised tools from the lab to pry open a wall panel and dismantle the lock’s controlling mechanisms, in a practiced manner not learned from any science textbook. But Alice didn’t need to know that. There was a clunk as the seal was released, and the doors slid open a crack. Despite of the lack of anywhere to go, it made him feel better. “So what about that dare? You’ll have to come up with something harder than get us out of this.”_______ [ T’Laara - The Shining Quartz, Promenade] T’Laara listened as Opal explained a little about her species and the type of stories they would tell each other about their connections with the outside world. “So do we. Most Vulcan stories are lessons about the teachings of Surak.” She made a face. “It is all very logical and wise. But I prefer human stories.” While she turned her attention to Opal’s large, rocky form, a shadow moved in the back of the shop behind them. It was just a darker spot in the corner of her eye. Still, T’Laara looked up, holding her crystal a little tighter. There was nobody back there. With the dim light, flickering crystals, and nervous atmosphere, it could have just been a trick of the eye. But typical Vulcan or not, T’Laara trusted her instincts. “This might sound strange, but did you see that? I mean, sense anyone in the shop just now?” Opal did not have eyes like she did; maybe the Horta could sense something T’Laara couldn’t. Or maybe she had sensed nothing, which would confirm that it was just T’Laara’s imagination. Tag Sven Aune

[ Chief Ozu Saya - Main Engineering] Saya was getting tired of the little flickers of movement at the corners of her vision. It was distracting and made her keep losing her spot in the code. Finally, she'd gone through enough of the important elements to be reasonably confident that they could power up the core without blowing them to smithereens. Finishing her bottle of water, Saya stood and stretched, then headed out to the power core. She'd have to manually begin the start-up sequence since the computer consoles didn't work, but that wasn't difficult. This would be her first time trying it, though. I'm going to manually start up the power core, she called as she pulled off a panel on the side of the core housing. Stand ready for...well, anything - fires, outages. And someone get right on the computer and get me all the data you can from just before the power went down.Pausing a moment, she tapped her combadge, =/\= Ozu to Eastman. As far as we can tell, there's nothing wrong with the power core. I'm about to manually power it up. =/\= She reached inside the panel and checked the relays before flipping the switch. Wouldn't do to have the power core take damage because the relays were damaged from the earlier power failure. All over the station, lights came on, though they were dim, and computer consoles lit up. The power core showed full power, but all the blown relays meant that some areas of the station didn't recover.

[All Over the Station]
As the lights came on, it became much easier to see the Shadows. Against the backdrop of lights, they were quite visible.
Moreover, the Shadows appeared to move faster, and in some cases seemingly erratically. However, to other observers, their movements appeared more directed, almost as though they were reacting to... something.
Nevertheless, the shadows are still in one's peripheral vision. Look at them directly, and they vanish.
