[Family Quarters - Civilian Decks] Whilst this wasn't her first go at parenthood, Lea still appreciated hearing about Max's own experiences especially since they were also a family of six, if you didn't include the grandchildren. " I'm sure they will, especially if they're anything like Aven" Lea replied thoughtfully. 18 months old and he sure knew how to wind up his sister when he wanted and Lea could only imagine what it would be like when he was older, not to mention having three exactly the same. Whatever happened, each child would be loved and Lea was used to their little quirks and wasn't afraid to discipline when appropriate. She certainly wasn't a pushover regardless of her short stature and how she came across. " Yes it is and I guess we'll find that out as they get older, as much as the prospect of going from two to four can be a little daunting. This is going to be my last pregnancy and I'm looking forward to our family being complete".Her and Riyo had already discussed that and Lea knew that it had been the right decision to make and hadn't felt guilty about it at all.

[ Thea - CMO's Office] Riyo's offer to confirm who the boy's father and his comment about there being plenty of people to adopt him, should he be unsuccessful was reassuring. They might not have achieved the desired outcome but as usual when it came to situations like this, it was just another reason why she liked her job. Although adoption was certainly a possibility to consider as Hunt was AWOL or perhaps fostering for the time being would be more appropriate. " Adoption is something to consider but you'll find the father in the database, it's just a shame that he's AWOL so there's always the option of fostering" she replied, knowing it wasn't ideal but it was something at least. When Judy then answered her, Thea had to agree with her counterpart as it was tragic and they were on the same page in regards to where they could place the boy. =/\= It is tragic and agreed, we can definitely look into it as there's options =/\=

[Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams), PhD - Ops]"The UT knows Klingon, and I just had to make do with that," Judy answered. It was a different, and almost certainly less immersive, experience, but with Klingon opera, Judy didn't exactly have a thirst for more immersion. "Now, Mr. Vulbrix, what do you have for us?"
Tag Myker Vulbrix [Ensign Paxton - Ops] Emerson nodded about the UT, although he doubted the device would accurately translate an Opera but he was neither a linguist nor an opera expert so he didn't say much more. He didn't know what else to say, the situation seemed heavy and unresolved. Unfortunately he had nothing useful to say to aid in a conclusion. [ Myker Vulbrix - Ops - Front Ear] Myker looked to the Captain and then back at his console as he relayed the information he'd gained. "Hezula was by some definitions a warrior so she should be honoured as such." He started and he would respond if anyone objected, she may have been a crime boss and maybe not a pleasant person to interact with but Myker believed in giving even the worst person an appropriate send off. It said more about his character than theirs of course, but it still mattered and respecting the dead was something he felt deeply about having lost to many himself. "A scarlet colored cape should be placed on the body, one with golden threads in the seams. She will then be cremated and combined with strontium carbonate, copper chloride and barium chloride to create distinct colours before being fired off to be laid to rest amongst the constellations." Myker explained to Judy just before Thea reported her findings. The situation was dire and Myker felt himself weighed down with the idea of the child having no-one. The half-human child may have a father but they'd yet to track him, but Myker may have had some idea of possible suspects or just one. The Betazoid had noted the timing of the events and Hezula's search for one particular man couldn't have simply been coincidence. "The child's father? Let's start there and hope we dig up something. In the meantime couldn't we place the child in someone's care on the Station?" it was a suggestion one he felt would protect the child's well-being to some degree and that was very much his concern Judith Eastman

[SCPO Jovireh Velal - Front Ear - Turbolift]The more T'Lel talked, the less she made sense. Jov wondered if the Vulcan was trying to explain the situation, or confuse her. "Are you working with these other people?" It was starting to sound like a bunch of people just sat down in a bar with the names of all the Crime Bosses and drew one from a glass. Surely that couldn't actually be what led to this assassination, could it?

T'Lel had given Starfleet enough to know that something was going on, and now they'd have to throw her a bone to learn more.

Judith Eastman(-Williams), PhD - Ops]Judy nodded, acknowledging Myker's report. That was altogether quite doable. His suggestion of what to do with the child also struck Judy as a good one. "Well, if the father is who we think he is, then we have know clue where he is, but we know his mother - the child's grandma," she thought aloud. "That's perfect!" she exclaimed. Dr. Hunt's mother, despite being a centenarian, would surely be delighted to take in her grandson, and if she couldn't raise him herself, she'd certainly find a suitable relative. She was the baby's closest family that they could find... ...assuming she was family. =A= "Eastman to Baker, Mr. Vulbrix suggested we try to contact the father's family, so I have two questions:"
"One. Can we confirm Dr. Hunt is the father?" "Two. How long will the child have to spend in the NICU? Or, in other words, will someone need to foster him between him getting out, and a transport from Earth coming in?" =A= Judy looked at the Betazoid in Ops with a smile. It seemed so obvious now, after he had suggested it, which was a sign that it was a good idea.

Captain's Log, supplemental.
I believe we've managed the situation as well as it could be managed. Our suspect, T'Lel, has been cooperating quite nicely, and has given indication that she at least made common cause with a rival criminal cartel.
Dr. Hunt's mother, has agreed to take in the child. I greatly admire her tenacity and grit, being of the age that she is, but I suppose it's in our nature as grandmothers. I believe the child will be well cared for on Earth by loving family.
As for Hezula herself, funeral arrangements are underway. It doesn't seem that any of her family will be present, but some members of the crew will attend.
End log.
