[Family Quarters - Civilian Decks] As the conversation moved back to the twins that she was carrying and Max asked if they had thought of any names. Leanna smiled as he wasn't the first person who had asked that particular question and could tell from the way he had said it, that her friend was curious. Not that she could fault him for wanting to know as it was a natural response. He wasn't wrong either about having twice as many to choose which had made it slightly more difficult when trying to decide. " We've given it a lot of thought since we found out that it was twins and we've managed to narrow it down to two boys names and two girls names as we don't know what we're having " Lea replied honestly. Even though it had been tempting to find out the babies genders as she had done in the past. Lea and Riyo had managed to resist so far and had even made a game out of it. Besides it was pointless giving in now when they had made it this far and Lea was looking forward to the surprise when it was time to finally give birth.

Deck 9Thus far, everything today had been a bloody disaster. For starters, somehow an Orion ship was able to hack into the computer system of a Federation base. He would make note in his report the possibility of an inside informant here on the station wasn't anything to rule out. Then a crime lord was assassinated while under Federation watch. A suggestion in his report would be to have the security detail sit with Starfleet Intelligence and go through the events step by step to make sure this doesn't happen again. But, for now, decks 6-10 had been sealed off. Their assassin was still on the loose. Lochi was doing his part to assist Security in sweeping through the Promenade. Wearing his SOB, a grey stripe running along his chest, grey eyes casually danced between the Promenade and his PADD. The last thing he wanted to do was cause a panic, so he didn't carry a weapon. He was there to investigate. He was there to observe. His gaze fell upon a short haired Vulcan woman in brown, plain clothing. He didn't recognize her, but he hadn't been on the station for very long and had only went through the personnel files twice thus far. Approaching her, he put his PADD away. "Guten Tag, Frau. I'm Ensign Areinnye. You seem to be nursing an injury. Perhaps I could take you to Sickbay for a zorough examination. Ze last zing ve vould vant is for the vound to become infected, ja?" ------ Judith Eastman [NPC - Unknown - Deck 9]To hear an individual with such a heavy accent was most illogical. Surely he could speak to the Universal Translator in his native tongue? However, that wasn't her issue. "That is illogical. I can tend to the cut in my quarters."With that, she walked away, resolutely but not in a rush.

[The Crimson Revenger]
The Fleeters might of thought that they were clever by turning their own hack against them. But for Mace, it was amusing to watch their attempts and whilst they had managed to disable their weapons, he knew that it wouldn't be for long. As much as he adored his Mistress, it was nice to be able to sit in the Captain's chair without being on constant alert around her. Ever since she had decided to find this Dr Hunt, it hadn't been fun for anyone in her employment so he was making the most of her not being on the ship.
That being said, when the ship then received the news that Hezula was dead, he did what any Orion would do and that was to take the ship and get out of here. Seeing no reason to stay around, especially now that the Crimson Revenger was rightfully his. Mace gave the order to depart without acknowledging the hail or requesting clearance. The minute the Crimson Revenger was free and at a safe distance, it went to warp, never to be seen again. [Capt. Judith Eastman(-Williams), PhD & PO2 Roland L. Jenkins - Ops]As the Crimson Revenger went off, so suddenly and so unceremoniously, Judy couldn't help but feel sorry for the late Hezula. To think that her crew would not pay her any respect in her passing, would not ask for an opportunity to say farewell to the body, or to care for burial arrangements, it was painful. "We'll have to figure it all out ourselves."At this point, Jenkins came in. "Mr. Jenkins, make contact with HR, see if they have any sense of where Lt. Jonathan Hunt is," she instructed the young man. She wouldn't have Jenkins look into anything relating to Hezula, given his proclivity for gossip. "Yes, ma'am," Jenkins answered dutifully and took an auxiliary console. "Mr. Vulbrix, try to track down where Hezula's ancestry tracks down to. Ancestry, faith, ethnicity, anything that could narrow down the cultural customs around burial and around custody of the child."
"All of you, the brownies are for you."That left Judy's co-captain. =A= "Eastman to Baker. The Crimson Revenger has left. I have Mr. Vulbrix trying to track down Hezula's overall cultural background, so I figure if you and the staff with you can focus on her immediate family, that would be great." =A=

[NPC - Unknown - Deck 9]To hear an individual with such a heavy accent was most illogical. Surely he could speak to the Universal Translator in his native tongue? However, that wasn't her issue. "That is illogical. I can tend to the cut in my quarters."With that, she walked away, resolutely but not in a rush.
[SCPO Jovireh Velal - Front Ear - Jeffries Tubes]As Jov rounded a corner, she saw a bundle on the deck at the other end of the tube. It wasn't moving, and too small to be a person. So she crept forward carefully, soon reaching the discarded cloak. There were small green smears on the fabric and the bulkhead, leading out of the nearest hatch. =A="Velal to Promenade Security. Be advised, subject has left the jeffries tube. They are no longer cloaked, and appear to be bleeding. Update BOLO for a Vulcan, Orion or Romulan." Those were the only species off the top of her head that had green blood, which significantly narrowed down the suspect pool. Of course, it could be a hybrid like herself... but the odds were slim. Following the trail, it wasn't long before she was also emerging from the hatch onto Deck 9, phaser still in hand. A quick glance around revealed Kazeme doing the same on the other side of the Promenade. She gestured for him to rejoin her, then carefully looked around at the people remaining. A few civilians had ignored the advice to stay away from the area... her teams were doing another sweep of the decks... and an Intelligence Officer was talking to a Vulcan woman. Whom was holding her hand as though injured. With the Petty Officer at her side again, she double checked the setting on her phaser and began to slowly approach the Vulcan from behind and prayed the Intelligence Officer made the connection that this was likely the person they had been searching for. [Ensign Areinnye - Deck 9]
"Bitte verzeih mir, Frau. Access to zhose decks are currently inaccessible. Ve are under a lockdown."
His response was cool, calm. Again, the last thing he wanted, or that the station needed, was for a ruckus to erupt. The vulcan began to move, and grey eyes surveyed the scene before him. A rather spicy Andorian observed from a distance. And that was when he spotted the Security Chief. The Senior Petty officer was flanked by another petty officer. The pair of them making their way, the Security Chief brandishing her phaser, her attention seemingly locked onto the dismissive Vulcan.
This must be a suspect.
With the feline grace found in the ancestors, he took two steps back and one step to the side, putting himself in front of the Vulcan once more. His demeanor still cool and collected, but his hunting instincts beginning to creep through. The gleam of an apex predator setting in his dark gaze. "Of course, I'm sure you were uninformed of the situation wiz all of zhe commotion that has been going on. I'm afraid I must insist on making zhe quick trip to Sickbay..."----- Tags: Judith Eastman (Vulcan Rogue) , Jovireh Velal (Security Chief) soft: Kova Sh'qaleq (Voyeur)

[ Kova Sh'qaleq - Promenade, Front Ear Station ] The Andorian's pace slowed as her attention fell upon the Fleeter and the Vulcan. While she couldn't hear what was being said, she could recognize the pompous rejection of the Vulcan, as she began to move around the Fleeter. Her departure, however, was interrupted as the Fleeter stepped into her path. Her attention was only pulled from the pair as she noticed additional Fleeters beginning to converge on their position. Was this the assailant? A Vulcan? Somehow, Kova wasn't surprised. Body language seemed to suggest that some sort of confrontation was imminent. It likely depended upon whether the Vulcan felt the odds of her escape were plausible. Instinct wanted to carry the Andorian forward, but instead she did the opposite and took a few steps back. She paused at the threshold of some business that was now closed because of Eastman's announcement. Her eyes were glued to the exchange before her, as she hoped that the Fleeters simply wouldn't mess this up. The smart play: stun the Vulcan and ask questions later. Would the Fleeters actually do that? Hell no. They'd want to talk and attempt to reason with the Vulcan, which meant this whole ordeal was about to turn sideways very quickly.
[NPC - Zyri Zh'raal - Promenade, Front Ear Station ] Zyri wasn't entirely certain that she accepted Staz's estimation of the situation. If they weren't supposed to be there, then people would have told them to leave? "But... it looks like everyone else is gone," she said pointing out her observation. There was a part of her that thought they should leave as well, but she wasn't going to defy Kova. She'd been told to stay put, and that was the right thing to do... at least, that was what Zyri thought. "Kova told me to stay put though," she stated aloud. The only thing she hand ever known of the Andorian were the romanticized and edited tales her father had spoken of. None of those seemed to measure up to the version of the woman she had actually met. Which began to make Zyri wonder what else she could learn about her. "Do you know her?" Perhaps there was more that she could learn about Kova from others. Yet, from what she'd seen, the Andorian didn't seem the sort to boast of any friends.

[SCPO Jovireh Velal - Front Ear - Promenade]The pair of security officers quickened their steps as the Vulcan tried to leave. Thankfully, the Intelligence officer blocked her path, and Velal gave him a small nod to let him know it was the right move. At least most of the civilians had cleared out in case this did become a chase... But Jov still wanted to avoid that if at all possible. When she was about two meters away, she finally spoke. "Hold it right there!" Her voice was sharp and commanding, carrying its own force developed over years of service. A tone few ever heard her use. "You're under arrest for murder." Sure, she didn't have confirmation that Hezula had died, but a disruptor blast to the back of the head didn't leave much of a chance for survival. One of the other pairs that had been searching the deck approached, ready to provide back up if needed.

[NPC - Unknown - Deck 9]In the assassin's mind, it all crystallized now, Starfleet's strategy and her own failure. This grunt with the bugged-out UT was just here to stall her, until the other one, another failed Vulcan, showed up. And that one knew to look for her because she didn't use enough blood. She didn't feign a big enough wound. "It would be illogical to attempt escape."She stood still, letting Starfleet do the work of restraining her and whatever else they had planned.

[Staz Volkova - Front Ear - Promenade]"Most people tend to follow suggestions as if they're orders," Staz replied with a small shrug. Part of her was beginning to feel like she may have misjudged the hybrid's age... While she looked like a young adult, her response to the situation was that of someone even younger. Perhaps giving her alcohol hadn't been the best decision... But all she'd had was one sip, and security was a bit too busy to worry about a minor drinking right now. Finishing off her own cup in a few large swallows, she set the empty one aside and slid the other, still mostly full cup towards herself. If Zyri wasn't going to finish it, there was no point letting it go to waste. She'd worked hard to make that drink. "Kova? Yeah, we worked a job together a little while ago." Though it wasn't like they were friends. They had managed to make it back to the station without killing each other, which was something at least. "Is she your sister?" A voice rang out in typical Starfleet fashion, and the entire situation started to make sense. So there had been a murder? Well, at least security apprehended the suspect. It was a wonder that they hadn't directly ordered everyone to leave the Promenade with a killer on the loose...

[Lt. Paawin Riyo - Front Ear - Sickbay]Riyo nodded appreciatively to Angelina when she updated him on the child, feeling Thea standing behind him with her own concern for the boy. "Thank you. Hopefully by then we'll have a better idea of what's next." Hearing Captain Eastman's voice come back over Thea's com badge, he sighed and stepped away from the NICU bed. Riyo didn't know if the ship leaving so suddenly said more about the crew, or the Orion woman. It didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things though. "Sounds like we've got a homework assignment." Turning to Thea once more, he waited to see if she had a preference where he started in their search for next of kin.

[ Nurse Angelina - Primary Sickbay] " Not a problem at all Doctor and yes hopefully" Angelina replied in agreement before another call came through from their other Captain. It wasn't her place to comment but with the Orion's ship leaving, Angelina could only hope that they would be successful in finding relatives for the boy. Until then it was her duty to take care of him. " I'll keep you both updated" she said to both Doctors before returning to her young charge. *********** Thea - Primary Sickbay] Thea listened, happy for some good news despite the raw emotions of the situation and was about to add to what was said, when Judy called once more. Considering that she half expected the Crimson Revenger to fire on them or at least demand answers, to hear that they had left was surprising. Of course that left those involved to now find the information they needed for not only how to deal with Hezula but also her son. Not that it was completely impossible and as Riyo made a comment about them having a homework assignment, Thea appreciated the reference as Angelina also spoke to both of them. " It does and thank you Angelina" she said, before tapping her badge to respond to Judy. =/\= Baker to Eastman, acknowledged, I'll let you know once we find something =/\= Ending the call with another gentle tap, Thea then turned her attention back to Riyo and their new assignment. " I'll have the Orderlies take Hezula's body to the Morgue whilst we go to the CMO's office, we may as well be comfortable whilst we search for Hezula's next of kin".Not knowing how long it would take, it made sense for them to be somewhere quieter and as she waited for Riyo's response. Thea gestured for Frink to come over and gave her instructions regarding the late Crime Boss.

[NPC - Max Williams - Family Quarters]The adoption touched on a commonality between the Mazal-Paawin clan and the Eastman-Williams family - both were blended families, not quite conforming to the traditional nuclear model. "It was quite a bit of work for us, making sure our twins knew that we weren't replacing them with a new, upgraded model," Max said, with an emphasis on the word "our" to distinguish his own position as Lawrence and Gerald's father. "I think for you it'll be easier, because Ari and Aven aren't moving out anytime soon."There was no perfect time to have more children, but Max believed there were perfect outcomes, and that they had achieved one. "It all works out, anyway," he added.
