[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), PhD - Study, XO's quarters, USS Mac - 0700 hours]
Judy looked at her reflection off her glass desk. She hadn't expected to be in this position again - in deep space, in a red uniform. It still felt almost surreal, 3 years after her postwar return to R&D. However, here she was.
"First Officer's personal log.
We are currently on approach to our assigned station, with an expected arrival around 0900 hours. I'm excited and optimistic, yet I can't help but acknowledge a lingering worry that my grand fantasies of diplomacy and exploration, in the spirit of Starfleet's original vision, will be staying at the design phase for a while. The station is named the Front Ear, for reasons unknown to me, and it seems to have been tossed around like a hot potato between command crews. Our ship is named the USS Mac, seemingly only a fragment of a name, and I've yet to figure out where her dedication plate is hidden. To top it off, the outgoing Commanding Officer, with whom we'll be meeting today, is quite the meshuggeneh. The station is in a complicated neighborhood, with such friendly folks down the street as the Tholian Assembly."
Judy adjusted her bifocals and then continued.
"The biggest unknown, of course, is the unknown. The last 10 years, especially the war, haven't given Starfleet much leave to explore, and the depths of the Beta Quadrant remain unknown. We have great opportunity to explore ourselves, to seek out new life and new civilizations, but we must remember that among the species that seek peace, prosperity, and progress, we may find another Dominion too."
Out of the corner of her eye, Judy saw her teenage daughter, Anna, heading towards the dining room. She was very proud that she had managed to pass down the early-rising habit to the young woman who was, in more ways than one, a younger copy of Judy herself.
"Thankfully, I have the greatest faith in our crew, and I believe that together, we will be able to make Front Ear station a safe place for us all. If I didn't believe that, I wouldn't have brought my ninth-grader along to live with me."
"Computer, end log."
Judy stood up and headed over to join her family for breakfast. Tonight, they'd move onto their station quarters, with a full kitchen, and the Eastman-Williams household could resume their favorite pastime.
***
[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Ens. Mabel Henriksen - Bridge, USS Mac, 0852 hours]
Seated at her bridge chair, already customized with a plethora of ergonomic support, Judy looked over at her Yeoman, Mabel, and then her silver wristwatch.
"It should be about time," she thought aloud. "I think so," Mabel agreed.
=A= "Eastman to all hands. We'll be docking at the station soon. Please prepare accordingly. Personnel designated to oversee the docking procedure should come to the bridge," =A= she announced in her calm, quiet voice, to the whole crew. Then, came someone a little more specific - her much, much younger boss.
=A= "Eastman to Captain Ellis. Would you like to do the honors?" =A=

[Felicity Ellis - USS Mac, 0845 HRS]Felicity Ellis eyed the blinking light on her viewscreen that told her she had an incoming call. She knew who was on the other end of that communication, and she knew just how much her caller deplored being kept waiting, so naturally she waited two minutes before answering. Captains who ignored Admirals were few and far between; but even rarer were Captains who could call one particular Admiral, 'Mother'. The list of differences between the two women were extensive, but they did have a few things in common. One of Felicity's most defining traits was her stubbornness. When channeled toward work it became tenacity, and focused determination, but when it came to dealing with her mother it translated into a willful, combative characteristic. The PADD in her hand contained the most up-to-date Front Ear active roster, and she looked back down at it, taking her time to peruse it again. Once her blatant disregard for the Admiral's call began to approach rudeness, she tossed the reading device down on her desk, pulled her loose hair back into a messy bun and then, finally, activated the link. "Admiral."Somehow, without even being there, Antoinette Ellis' presence filled the Ready Room. Her sharp, dark eyes peered out at her daughter, made all the more striking by the porcelain complexion and exquisite bone structure. Neither of which Felicity had inherited, just to add insult to injury. "Felicity, dear," the other woman eventually responded once she'd finished evaluating her, "You look tired."Translation: I'm pissed. "Thanks."Admiral Ellis waved a dismissive hand and looked very much as though she'd like to roll her eyes at her daughter's sarcasm. "Hazards of Command and travel, I'm afraid. Speaking of which, you should have arrived by now.""We are on approach, I think you'll find we're not due to dock at Front Ear until 0900 hours, and what do you know, it is not yet 0900 hours." She tapped at the integrated console, making a show of checking the exact time. "Forgive me, darling, I'm just looking forward to seeing you."Felicity was just about to excuse herself, and was in the process of swiveling away in her chair, when her mother's words permeated her irritated mind properly. Her head snapped back to pierce the smiling image of Antoinette with a glare of her own. "I'm sorry, you're looking forward to seeing me? I'm a little far away from Fleet HQ, Mother.""As am I, Captain, as am I. I will arrive this evening. Please ensure the station is ready to receive me. Until then."Her smirk winked out of existence, but Felicity's expression remained, slack-jawed as it was. After a few moments of processing, she slumped back in her chair and groaned loudly. It was then that her First Officer's voice broke through. =A= "Eastman to Captain Ellis. Would you like to do the honors?" =A= There was a headache beginning to emerge; tap-tapping on her temples. =/\= "I'm on my way, Commander." =/\= She would just have to deal with the Admiral when the time came. What business the woman had out on the frontier Felicity had no idea, but her mother likely wouldn't be long telling everyone what she wanted and expected. Felicity stood, squared her shoulders and attempted to put the oncoming special hell out of her mind. As soon as she swept from the Ready Room she was stepping onto the Bridge. Passing Tactical II with a nod toward the officer stationed there, she moved toward the center chairs and smiled a greeting at Judy. She didn't yet sit, but turned toward the Operations station. "Open a channel."At the ensign's nod, Felicity began. =/\= "This is Captain Felicity Ellis of the USS Mac, on approach to Front Ear Station and requesting docking clearance." =/\= When she waved an arm, gesturing at their on-duty Flight Officer in silent order to transmit their credentials, coordinates and approach details, it was met with immediate acknowledgement. A response from Front Ear, however, was not quite so speedy. When nothing came, Felicity turned a questioning look toward Ops, but she was met only with a mirrored expression. Then the ensign's frown cleared, and the comms crackled a little, followed by a very uncertain voice. =/\= "Ah, hello, USS Mac. You weren't supposed to be here until tomorrow!" =/\= Taken aback by the reaction to their arrival, Felicity glanced over at their First Officer, her brow arched. =/\= "I assure you, Front Ear, we are supposed to be here now. To whom am I speaking?" =/\= First order of business might just be to send some of the Operations staff back to charm school. The next response did come a little quicker, though. There was some angry muttering first, perhaps directed at a colleague, then an acquiescence. =/\= "Okay, okay, please hold, Mac. We'll rustle something up for you." =/\= Felicity's response was terse. =/\= "Be sure that you do, Front Ear. Ellis out." =/\= She made the cut signal and finally, sat down. "Helm, take us in," she ordered as she made herself comfortable by crossing one leg over her knee. Her gaze still on Judy she quirked a brow again. "Just what is waiting for us out here?" Certainly not a red carpet.

[MCPO Ozu Saya and family - USS Mac - Guest Quarters]
Saya held the screaming toddler, trying to comfort him and check his face at the same time. There were times that having a pet with horns, even dull ones, was not worth the chaos. On the floor, Alieth was producing a honking sound something like that of a dying goose.Evekh, please calm down. Alieth didn't mean to hurt you. It was an accident. Let me see your eye.
Evekh shook his head, red curls flopping across his forehead, small hands pressed over his cheekbone where he'd cracked it against the three-horn's horn when bending to pick up a toy off the floor. Saya raised her eyes to her mate, pleading for his help. She was terrible at handling their son when he was hurt or upset, at least she felt like she was. Kyo handled these things so much more frequently than she did since he was with Evekh most of the time.
Kyo rose from his crouch where he was trying to calm down the three-horn and came over, but didn't take the toddler from Saya. He knew if she gave it a little more time, Evekh would relent; but Saya didn't have the confidence in dealing with the recalcitrant child because she didn't have to do so very often. He was a generally happy boy, but could be difficult when upset or injured. Kyo laid a hand on Evekh's back, but didn't say anything.
Evekh, now getting attention from both parents, started to calm, sobs and screams turning to hiccups. As he quieted, so did Alieth, thankfully. The two had been close companions all of Evekh's life and the three-horn often reacted badly when the child was upset. They'd had complaints in the past because of the noise. Saya was glad that chief engineers' quarters tended to be away from anyone else's.
Finally, Evekh took his hand from his face, revealing a greenish bruise forming just under his eye. Saya sighed with relief. She hated to see her son injured. You're all right, ashal-veh.
I don't think he needs to go to sickbay, she said quietly to Kyo.
Kyo looked up at the chronometer over the door when the announcement came through the comms. You're going to have to go, right? It's almost 0900.
Saya sighed again. Yes, I'd like to be on the bridge. I should be able to return and help get us to our quarters shortly after we arrive, though.
All right. We'll see you in awhile, then. Kyo reached to take Evekh, but the three-year-old squirmed until Saya bent down to set him on the floor. He trotted off to pick up the toy from earlier and waved it at Alieth to get the three-horn to follow him into the other room. Saya shook her head at the resilience of a child - being inconsolable one moment, and entirely forgetting what had happened the next.
She stood on her toes to meet Kyo halfway for a kiss before she left, straightening her tunic on the way. She didn't notice the small damp spot on her shoulder from Evekh's tears.
[Bridge]
Saya entered the bridge a short time later and headed for Judy, standing at ease beside the older woman's chair. Judy, she greeted, then, Captain.

[ Thea - USS Mac, Sickbay] For someone who had been practising medicine for the last four years, with the entirety of that time, spent on a Starbase, Thea was like a kid in a candy store. In fact most of the journey, since meeting up with the Mac, had involved many hours, familiarising herself with the layout and amenities of what the Sovereign class ship offered for her department. Loving the name of the ship and it seemed perfect for what she was about to embark on. Of course it wasn't too dissimilar to what she was used too, but that didn't deter Thea, from learning everything she could, especially since, she had initially wanted to be on a ship, when she had left the Academy. The newly promoted CMO had loved her time aboard Epsilon and at one point, thought that she would never leave. However fate had intervened with her double promotion and she realised that she would regret it, if she turned it down. Besides she was looking forward to this new adventure and what it would bring her, especially with a renewed sense of wanting to be more social and further her career. However when the call came through from the Bridge, that they would be arriving soon, Thea silently cursed herself, for not keeping an eye on the chronometer. That momentary blip didn't last long and she began, closing down the computer, with the intention of collecting what she needed and being present, during docking. ******** [ Leanna& Ariana - USS Mac, Guest Quarters] Considering that she had been travelling with a very energetic and full of life, three year old, the journey so far, had been relatively tantrum free, which for Leanna, was a bonus, especially with being seven months pregnant. Then again, having the support of her friends, had helped a lot, just from them being there and supporting her, especially with the void in her and Ari's life, due to Fells's incarceration. The last six months had been extremely tough on the Mazal/Halgerdur family, what with his past catching up to them, the trial and the sentence he had been given. However at least, she hadn't been completely cut off from him, thanks to visits and letters. That went some way to alleviate how much she missed him, although now it was about to get a lot better, as his sentence was almost complete. As much as she would of loved for him to be here right now, they had both agreed, that she should go ahead and set up their new quarters and be present for the new bar and restaurant opening. Lea knew it was the right thing for her to do and then, once they were reunited, they could put the unpleasantness behind them and enjoy a new life together on Front Ear. That typo or mistake, always made her giggle, whenever she thought about it, but it was meant to be for the Betazoid, even more so, now that she had also been reunited with Flick, her best friend and her unborn son's Godmother. Her and Brooke, had been her rock, all of this time and now she could enjoy life, once more. With the call notifying them, that they were near, Lea began to gather Ari's toys, placating her with a large stuffed Targ from Auntie Flick, guaranteed to placate and prevent, any upset, along with her Unicorn. ******** [ Brooke - USS Mac, Guest Quarters] After receiving the notification from the Bridge, Brooke paused for a moment, before marking the page she had been reading. The journey from Sierra, had enabled the cafe owner to indulge in one of her favourite pastimes, especially as she had wanted to read this particular cookbook for a while. In fact she was looking forward to testing out some of the recipes on Greg and her friends, especially if she was to add them to the menu of her new business. Although the thought of Greg, took Brooke's thoughts away from food for a minute or two, leaving a huge smile on her face, knowing that she would get to see him soon. The decision to move to Front Ear had been an easy one to make, not only to see Greg more but also to be with her friends and sister in law to be. Not to mention, getting to expand her business and take it to a whole different level. With that in mind, Brooke, placed the book back into her bag, then got organised, especially as she wanted to help Lea with Ari, once they arrived.

[Npc Brody Cooper USS MAC-mess hall] Among the many people on board the USS Mac was one of the young scientists, who was seeking a new home on the station. Brody looked around at the other passengers, old and young, different species. Some were excited like him, some others worried. He had moved a few times from station to station, had no real ties and was looking forward to this new home. Brody had been watching a young couple, who was seated close by, for a while. Their son was cute and occassionally made eye contact. As cute as he was, he was glad that he was travelling without children. "We'll be there soon." He only said to the kid. - [Fells Halgerdur - Federation Penal Colony] "Which day is today?" Fells asked one of the wardens, who opened the gates to the large, sandy yard. The man gave him a brief look. He was one of the guys who had treated him with more decency than most of the security personell. Most of them weren't happy that Fells had been one of them but had fallen from grace and weren't helpful or friendly. "Monday." He even offered an encouraging. "Not much longer, stay out of trouble." "I will." Fells stepped out of the shade into the burning heat of the two suns in the bright blue sky.

[Petty Officer Conor Lynch - Promenade, Front Ear Station]Conor Lynch stood on the Promenade, facing The Spudriq Potato Bar. Inside one could order themselves a steaming, fluffy, Irish Rooster baked potato. And on that, one could load and lash all manner of delicious toppings; cheese, bacon, hummus, shredded chicken, chili and even healthy green things, like kale. Though who would want such a thing, Lynch did not know, but their nutritionist adviser person had insisted on it. He clapped his hands together and rubbed his palms in a most delighted gesture. "Bleedin' deadly."The permanently pinched head of his ma poked out the door. "Conor, ye useless lump, if yer quite finished mooching around ye can get in here and help me with prep.""Ah but Ma, I've to get to work. I was just admiring our handiwork. I'll be home for tea!" He started to back away, peering at Peggy Lynch with wide, scared eyes. *** [Gregory Ellis - Observation Lounge, Deck 11, Front Ear Station]The USS Leeds had arrived at the frontier only two days ago, and Greg hadn't told his fiance or his sister that he'd be there. Originally his ship had been due to arrive as per their new assignment orders two weeks from the current stardate, but the unexpected loss of their Captain meant that the diplomatic talks they'd been facilitating had been drawn to a temporary close, while the parties involved awaited a suitable mediator to replace Hawkins. Thus, Greg had been ordered to return to the closest Federation facility, which just so happened to be Front Ear. His plan was to meet Brooke right off the Mac. Three months without his wife-to-be was far too long, and he couldn't wait to see her beautiful face and hear her voice. Every single part of him ached for it. He drained the drink in his tumbler and stepped away from the spectacular view. His commbadge began to ping; his signal that the time was approaching. Leaving his glass on a nearby table, he took a moment to straighten out his suit - Brooke's favourite one - and moved with a light, jaunty step toward the exit. He was bound for the docking rings.

Caroline squinted at the cards in her hand and debated her choice. It was difficult to see, given she was wearing dark glasses indoors, and the numbers seemed to dance around in her field of vision. That was probably due to the fact she'd lost count of how many drinks she'd downed keeping pace with her opponent across the table. He was a wily one, but she wasn't about to be outsmarted. To buy some time, she signaled for the waitress to bring them more drinks.
"Hey, two Warp Core Breaches for me and McRib here. Please and thank you," she added, almost as an afterthought. She might have been drunk, but she wasn't rude.
Flaisl had just come on shift, and honestly wasn't expecting to deal with customers at 0900. Her antennae twitched in resignation, but she had to make at least one comment.
"Isn't it a little early to start drinking?" Her hand was on her hip, as she spoke with some sass.
Caroline looked up from the cards splayed out in her hand and thought about the Andorian woman's words. There was perhaps some truth in them. What time was it even?
"Too early to start drinking perhaps. However we started at 2100." She tapped the side of her temple with the cards, first attempt knocked her glasses slightly askew.
"This is why we are the S-M-R-T." She adjusted her glasses and turned back to her opponent.
"McRib! Got any.... sixes?"
Flaisl just shook her head and sighed before returning to the bar. It was gonna be a long day.

"I'm not sure what's waiting for us, but some changes to the whole administrative organ are waiting for them," she told Felicity, quiet enough not to be obtrusive but loud enough to be heard. [Bridge] Saya entered the bridge a short time later and headed for Judy, standing at ease beside the older woman's chair. Judy, she greeted, then, Captain. It was with a smile that Judy looked up from her XO chair at her old friend. She'd come to miss seeing Saya in a professional setting, finding the young engineer to be of truly unparalleled talents. Mabel, meanwhile, scooted aside, trying to find a sensible place to stand. And which docking location?" =A= she asked, her voice scarcely above a whisper. She wasn't happy, but she wasn't going to yell - that was reserved for her children. "Helm, once we're assigned an approach path, bring us in," she ordered. Then, she turned to her side, where Mabel (and Saya) were. "I'm going to need my schedule cleared from about 7PM onwards for a screaming match with Anna," she instructed Mabel, a half-smile on her face. If this was the trend, the XO quarters were likely not fully ready to her (or her daughter's) level, and the scapegoat was obvious - herself.

[S.S. Falcon – Bridge] Jett remained seated on the Captain’s chair as he observed the lights of the stars passing him by via warp travel. He still was discovering the features of the ship and he was not sure what secrets were on the vessel. The former Starfleet Officer look at the bridge as the ship was starting to look like home. Previously it was a mess but slowly with careful maintenance and upgrades. In the background, you could listen to classical music as Jett had those to make the journey less lonely. The purpose of traveling to this station was meant to start a new life far away from Earth. He chuckled to himself as he realized that was no true. The Frontier was the edge of Federation space and more important was one of the stops that the U.S.S. Icarus did before heading to deep space in their mission. He picked up a picture of their wedding day;and looked at it. He muttered to himself “Where are you now?” . As he looked at the picture as he wondered about his plan, maybe there was a clue at the Station? Something that they left behind. The former Officer highly doubt that Intelligence wiped the databases when they were here years ago. He could not access the databases but maybe reading all the reports of those days might give him vital clues. His thoughts were interrupted as he heard the alarm that the ship was automatically coming out of warp. He quickly jumps out of warp and he took control of the Ship via the Captain’s chair. With a couple pressed of quick controls, Tom opened the hailing frequencies. =/\= “ Front Ear Station this is the S.S. Falcon requesting authorization for docking. =/\= The former Officer observed Starfleet Protocols as he remained outside of the traffic area and waited for the response. He would request access to public archives to see if they were clues of the Icarus.

"McRib! Got any.... sixes?"Flaisl just shook her head and sighed before returning to the bar. It was gonna be a long day. [Aft Lounge - USS Mac] Chris adjusted his green visor as he looked over the cards in his hand, not that it would do any good. "Better make it four! Actually...." he said, trailing off for a moment "Um... what was I saying?" he asked, squinting as he tried to remember what exactly he was trying to say before giving up "We... we haven't been drinking that long! Impossible! I think our blue friend is having one over on us, Cara!" he laughed, leaning back in the chair to nearly the point of tipping as Flaisl walked away to prepare the drinks. He tried to do the mental calculations but even the simple subtraction of time was more then he could do at the moment. Last thing he remembered clearly was Cara inviting him to a card game but that was 6? 9? 15 hours ago? Just days ago he was posted as a SCOE Engineer and today he was an explorer, though he was only exploring the limits of his liver at the moment. It would take more than a few hours of drink to knock him down and beat him at... at, um... whatever game they were playing. "Oh, I have... no... wait, thats a 9..." he said, waggling his finger at Cara "Wait... weren't we playing 5-Card Stud?"

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), PhD, & Ens. Mabel Henriksen - Bridge, USS Mac]Judy sighed gently at the evident communication mishap, all too used to the sloppy way manifests and logs were often managed. It was lamentable, but a reality. [Felicity Ellis - Bridge, USS Mac]One corner of Felicity's mouth curled upward a little at Judy's response. "They're going to love us." It was said with a manner of cheek, though she was obviously aware of just how necessary it might be for them to clean house. They weren't there to make friends, they were there to make a difference. At Saya's approach and greeting, Felicity offered a nod. "Chief. Welcome to the party."=/\= Ah, Front Ear to Mac, you're cleared to dock. The commander is going to meet you. =/\= While the First Officer pressed for the relevant questions and directed the helm, Felicity sat back in her chair and tapped at the panel next to its arm. Moments later the view-screen displayed a live feed of Front Ear station, looming larger as they closed in. When the Flight officer on duty confirmed receipt of docking details Felicity sucked in a breath and addressed the ship. =/\= "All hands this is Captain Ellis. We are on final approach to the station and will be docking momentarily. At this stage you should have all received your living assignments and schedules. Unless you have been ordered otherwise, take the opportunity to get settled in and familiarise yourselves with our new base of operations." She paused for a moment and suppressed a groan. But she said it. "And welcome to Front Ear." =/\= Cringe. *** Tom opened the hailing frequencies. =/\= “ Front Ear Station this is the S.S. Falcon requesting authorization for docking. =/\= The former Officer observed Starfleet Protocols as he remained outside of the traffic area and waited for the response. He would request access to public archives to see if they were clues of the Icarus. [Communications Center, Front Ear Station]With zero preamble, the Officer's response was made. =/\= "SS Falcon, this is Front Ear. We have no records of you, please slow your approach and submit your credentials. Once we have verified you, we'll forward you clearance." =/\= Probably. *** [Lieutenant Niamh O'Leary - Aft Lounge, Deck 10, USS Mac]Niamh O'Leary probably should have been on the Bridge, nudging her Big Mac into perfect position. Seeing everything line up during docking procedure gave a sense of satisfaction like no other; and it should have been an honor for the CFO. Alas, no. She's wanted to be fair to her underlings, so she'd organised a draw. She didn't win. But maybe she was winning in other ways? She walked into the aft lounge, dressed in her casual civvies. She wore a pair of stonewashed jeans, old and tattered sneakers, and a t-shirt that had 'MY OTHER SHIP IS THE MILLENNIUM FALCON' emblazoned across the chest. She located Riordan and McIntyre almost immediately, as they were unsurprisingly involved in some kind of altercation with an Andorian lounge girl. "Here, lads," she greeted, frowning at them and then at the hovering Flaisl, "Did ye not hear? We've arrived at the arsehole of nowhere."

[ Thea - Bridge] After finishing in Sickbay and with a quick trip to her quarters to ensure that everything was in order and tagged for transport to her new abode on the Station, Thea decided that a trip to the Bridge was in order. Not that she had really had the chance to do so, since her initial reporting in to Captain Ellis and Commander Eastman. However, considering that docking was imminent, it was the right thing to do. So with that in mind, the Redhead, pulled down her tunic as the doors to the Bridge opened, stepping out as Captain Ellis, made a ship wide call and smiled at the mention of the station. It was an interesting typo and one, that would either make you giggle or groan, whenever you had to say it. Still being professional and taking in the impressive details of the Bridge, Thea walked with purpose and grace, towards the senior officer's gathered. " Captain, Commander, Chief, I thought it would be appropriate for me to be here as we prepare to dock".Hopefully she wouldn't come off as sounding like an excited schoolgirl, but in her mind, she was being typical Thea.
******** [ Leanna & Brooke - Aft Lounge, Deck 10, USS Mac] With Ari suitably entertained with her favourite stuffed toys and now holding onto Brooke's hand, after the friends had met up as agreed, the trio headed for the aft lounge, thinking it would be the perfect spot, to stay, until it was time to disembark. Besides there wasn't a lot for either of them to do now, especially with their respective belongings taken care of and the hassle of moving them, taken care of by support. Upon entering the lounge, the friends plus Ari, quickly found an empty table, giving them the perfect view of their approach and enable them to get last minute refreshments. The lounge for both of them, was a great place to be and it felt right, having this final visit, before the real work began and they got to experience their new home.

[Front Ear Station - Communications Center]
=/\= Oh, ah, right. One second, please. The comms went silent for a moment except for a murmur, then the voice returned. Yes, you'll be docking on landing pad C, and, ah, welcome to the station. =/\=
[Front Ear Station - Landing Pad A - Commander Priscilla Parsinp]
Parsinp stood at attention for an uncomfortably long time. So long, in fact, that people were starting to stare at her as they passed by. The squat woman relaxed from her rigid stance and tapped her combadge. =/\= Parsinp to Ops. Where's the bloody ship? I've been standing here for an eternity. Don't tell me the mighty captain don't know how to bring a ship in properly? She cackled at her own joke.
Ah, Commander, sorry for the confusion, but I see your combadge at landing pad A. They're coming in on C.
The commander huffed and started walking as quickly as her stocky legs could carry her. Blinking idiots. Why didn't you tell me they were coming in at a different landing pad?
Well, Commander, you didn't tell us where you were going. =/\= The voice was slightly less airy in its final response.
Parsinp continued to mutter and gripe to herself as she continued to the correct landing area.

[Sovaan - Bridge, USS Mac]Sovaan had managed to keep quiet and composed - even when the Captain had to announce the name of the station. He considered that a testament to his will to have not even twitched or let out a groan of disdain; he'd take what he could get when this was their situation. Even so, he found himself a bit perplexed at how ill-prepared the station seemed to be for their arrival. Then again, maybe that was part of the reason they were there. He gave a nod upon hearing Commander Eastman, not far behind him. "Acknowledged, Commander." There was something very matter-of-fact in his tone; he was far more focused on the actual art he was performing. Even keeping still, the Sovereign-Class had a sort of straightforward grace that he enjoyed; the Mac was no different, even while sporting an odd name of its own. In truth, he was looking forward to seeing what the station was like from the inside, and perhaps getting the time to properly know his crewmates. Watching the conn, he saw that their destination and how to get there had finally arrived. "Approach path received; bringing us in, now." Now, came his favourite part, even if it was short. The helmsman began to direct the Mac towards Landing Pad C, focusing almost entirely on smoothly moving it through the void and to the Front Ear. Sovaan almost looked like he was in a trance with how much he took careful interest in it, though his ears stayed perked up, ready for any change in orders he might get. He wouldn't have been too surprised to find a Landing Pad already occupied.
