[ Gregory Ellis - Landing Pad C, Security, Front Ear Station] "Bye, girls!" Greg waved happily at Leanna and little Ari, the grin still splitting his face. What he really wanted to be doing was drinking in the sight of his fiance, but he was also pleased to see the others. "Dinner later, all of us!" He managed to get out before Brooke turned in his arms and faced him. Finally, he thought, his eyes softening as he looked her her. When she closed the distance for a passionate kiss Greg tightened his arms around her and lifted her clean up off the ground. When she pulled back his gaze was darker, his voice gravelly as he suggestively offered, "I can pinch you, if you like."It did feel like a dream. A lovely one, the type he didn't want to wake up from. A pointed cough coming from the people behind them in the queue brought him back to reality, though. Greg laughed and began moving forward, causing Brooke to walk backward while still in his arms. "I think you're next. And then, I need to show you our quarters."[ Brooke - Landing Pad C, Security, Front Ear Station] From the way he greeted Lea and Ari, to how he lifted her off, of her feet when she kissed him, causing her to gasp pleasantly, against his lips, made Brooke thankful for this moment and for having such a loving and handsome husband to be. Recognising that darker look, well, as this time apart had been tough on both of them and had missed how suggestive he could be. " That's very tempting, Mr Ellis, three months is a very long time" she replied playfully, with a glint in her eye. She would never forget this, nor did she care about anything, other than Greg right now, until a cough reminded them, of the fact, that they weren't truly alone. A guilty but satisfied smile crossed her features as he laughed, relishing in just hearing up close, not bothering to change direction as he guided her backwards. In fact Brooke was happy to remain in his arms, as he spoke to her, about it being her turn next and wanting to show her, their quarters. " You're right and I can't wait to see them".Reluctantly letting go of him, in order to get through the Security check, it was over within minutes and once on the other side, Brooke was quick to take hold of Greg's hand, feeling as though everything was as it should be, especially now that she had been reunited with her beloved. ******** [ Margaret "Peggy" Lynch - The Spudriq Potato Bar, Promenade, Front Ear Station] A fine looking girl with a head of red hair walked into Peggy's new, little corner of the Promenade, and her Resting Unimpressed Face relaxed into something a little more pleasant. Forgoing the PADD she picked up an old-fashioned flip notebook and pencil, and wound her way through the closely-packed tables toward the newcomer. "Howeya, love," she greeted pleasantly, using a term of endearment she bestowed upon everyone but Conor. "Something hearty for ya this morning?"With her pencil still in hand, she gestured toward a nearby board that had written specials. "I can recommend our twice-baked Roosters with cream cheese and bacon, or our kale special, if you're one of those vegetaranian types."She turned back around and her lined face creased further as she smiled conspiratorially. "Or can I interest ya in The Great Big Irish Breakfast Spud? Has everything the growing body needs to set ya up for the day."[ Thea - The Spudriq Potato Bar, Promenade] As soon as she had sat down, Thea knew that she had made the right choice to come here, not just because of the delicious and enticing smells, but also when she was approached, by an older Irish lady, who greeted her so pleasantly. Thea always had a thing for accents, particularly those of the Irish variety and instantly felt at home. " I'm fine thank you" Thea replied politely, as she was then told about the specials, scrunching her nose a little at the mention of Kale, the one vegetable that she absolutely tested. Yet the Doctor appreciated, why it was offered, before she was asked, if she was interested in The Great Big Irish Breakfast Spud. Noticing how the woman's smile had changed as it was spoken about, plus hearing the benefits of having such a meal, did appeal to Thea and she soon knew what she wanted. " As much as I like vegetables other than kale, I'm definitely a meat kind of girl, so I'll have the Great Big Irish Breakfast Spud, as it sounds perfect for what I need right now".

[ Front Ear - Landing Pad C - Commander Priscilla Parsinp] The Orion fellow pointed out the captain, the very young captain, just before the woman answered for herself. Parsinp glared at the mispronunciation of her name. It's Par-sinp, she said, stressing the last syllable grumpily. And then the older woman in uniform, the much older woman, who had to be at least five years Parsinp's senior, climbed up on a crate and started to take control of things. The brazen hussy - trying to take over before she'd even left the station. How could Starfleet have the nerve to send someone so much older when they were forcing her to retire. Now that Parsinp had a better look, this Commander Eastman had to be at least ten years older. The young captain seemed just as intent on taking over, inviting her for a walk on her own station, but the stocky commander followed anyway, wanting to get away from the crowd of new officers invading her home. Course it's busy. Starbases are always busy, she groused. [ Felicity Ellis - Landing Pad C, Front Ear] "Parsinp, of course, my apologies again, Commander."Par sinp!? What kind of name was that? At least when her name had been a vegetable it was somewhat memorable. Felicity wondered where the deformed name originated from. There was one small mercy, however; she was following. Albeit with some grump, but it appeared Judy's actions would not cause any further strain. The last thing she needed was a cantankerous old Commander deciding to dig her feet in and stay to further 'assist' in a smooth handover. They approached the Security personnel checking the passengers' credentials, but didn't stop, instead strolling straight on through. She didn't bother correcting Parsinp over her use of the word "Starbase" - Front Ear was certainly not that, instead making a noncommittal noise that might be construed as agreement. "As are their Commanders. Would you mind bringing me to the Command Center? I'd like to take the opportunity to pick your brain before you make your well-deserved escape, if you don't mind."*** [ Brooke - Landing Pad C, Security, Front Ear Station] From the way he greeted Lea and Ari, to how he lifted her off, of her feet when she kissed him, causing her to gasp pleasantly, against his lips, made Brooke thankful for this moment and for having such a loving and handsome husband to be. [ Gregory Ellis - Landing Pad C, Security -> Private Quarters, Front Ear Station] "Too long," Greg replied simply. Three months. Someone had said it got easier, but he thought the opposite might be the case. Every time they parted he swore to himself that this farewell would be the last. He had already requested a transfer, but made no further comment on it. He didn't want to get Brooke's hopes up when he didn't yet know anything concrete himself. He gave her hand a squeeze when she started moving forward, pausing only for long enough to take a hold of the gravsled behind them. They breezed through Security and before they knew it, they were strolling through the corridors of Deck 13, toward their new home. He stopped outside the door for just a moment, while the Computer scanned them and the doors slid open to reveal the living space inside. "I coded it to both of us," he began, gesturing for her to precede him inside. "But we can add anyone to it for emergencies." It was something to consider later. For now, they had other things to attend to. The family-sized quarters boasted two bedrooms, one with en-suite, a fully-functional kitchen for Brooke to bake in, and for Greg to appreciate her baking, a living-come-dining area, and a small study next to the master bedroom. It felt a lot bigger than it would once all of their furniture had arrived and been placed as per their personal tastes, but the air was filled with the smell of fresh, blooming flowers. Greg had placed vases and pots of blossoms of all kinds on every available surface. "Think it'll do?"

"Course y'are. I can always spot the ones with sense." The older woman didn't bother writing anything down. "Not to worry, love, I'll get ya sorted."And with that, she returned to her prep area. There were half a dozen Rooster spuds already roasting away in the oven. If she timed everything correctly, which she invariably did, everything would come together on a plate of steaming and fluffy perfection. She pulled out her favourite pan and began to poach a couple eggs. On a smaller one she began to crisp up some bacon. She sang while she cooked, an old, melodic tune about being sent away on a ship to a far off land for stealing some corn, and lovers torn apart. Twelve minutes later, The Great Big Irish Breakfast Spud was ready. On a plate she'd arranged two large, crispy potatoes, one split in a familiar x-pattern, the other with a small well removed from its fluffy insides. Within it a perfectly poached egg was placed, and some crackling bacon pieces sprinkled on top. The other spud was packed with Irish pork sausage meat, and Peggy dolloped a couple of spoonfuls of home-made baked beans over it. After a little garnish and the addition of a pot of strong, Irish tea, she brought the laden tray to the young redhead with the good sense. "There y'are now love, bone apple tea."*** [ Costa - Landing Pad C, Front Ear] Costa had never seen the station so busy. Pad C was her usual spot, as everyone was aware, so she thought nothing of it when it was offered to her. Considering what a mess the place was, with people running around, some seemingly close to tears, and others shouting across throngs to friends and colleagues, it probably wasn't the most organised place for her to unload her cargo. Still, she didn't have to do it. That was the kid's job. "Make sure it all goes ta where it's 'sposed ta, gottit?" She glared at all of the hands making short work of their last task before they could escape to freedom and booze and some blue belle's bosom. "An' dun get the Kid inta too much trouble, righ'?" She got grunts in response. They mostly always ignored her to be truthful, but they knew what they were doing; born boomers and would die boomers. Costa's eyes were on the impressive Sovereign with the less impressive name as she stepped off the gang-walk.

"Think it'll do?"[ Brooke - Landing Pad C, Security -> Private Quarters, Front Ear Station] As she walked through the station hand in hand with Greg, Brooke still couldn't believe that this was happening, however knew that it was, especially with the huge smile that was now plastered all over her face. Taking in the sights, whilst stealing glances towards her beloved, until the pair reached their new quarters and loved how, Greg had gone ahead and coded it for both of them, agreeing with him about adding people for emergencies. Of course that would include Lea and Flick but for now, she answered him as he gestured for her to go first. " What would I do without you and that's a great idea ....".The rest of what she was going to add, was cut off as she walked in fully and looked around. Even with it not being fully furnished yet, she could see its potential, the kitchen was perfect and ideal for her needs and it was just perfect for them both to live in quite happily. But what got to her the most, was the romantic gesture of filling every available space with vases and pots of flowers. Their heady aroma was intoxicating and she absolutely loved, what he had done. So when he then asked if she thought it would do, Brooke turned to him and grinned. " It's perfect and I love the flowers, you always know how to spoil me and .....".Brooke crossed the short distance between them and wrapped her arms around him. " Don't think I hadn't noticed the suit you're wearing and I love you Greg Ellis" she uttered as she leaned in for yet another passionate kiss.

" I always do when it comes to food and thank you" Thea replied, before the kind Irish lady, left her for a few minutes in order to get her order. Whilst she was gone, Thea took a moment to just sit back and think, knowing that once she'd had a decent breakfast, she could face everything, including the unpacking and inevitable visit to Sickbay, where she would no doubt forget to eat or have to set a reminder, so as not to spend all day there, engrossed in everything and anything. However by the time Peggy returned with a heavy laden tray filled with the delicious smelling aromas of properly cooked baked potatoes and a pot of tea, which Thea always enjoyed. Once it was set down and she took it all in, Thea couldn't wait to tuck in, determined to eat it all, as Peggy spoke to her once more. " It looks and smells delicious, so I'm definitely going to enjoy it".Picking up her cutlery, Thea went for the one filled with the poached egg and crispy bacon pieces, sighing with happiness as she took her first bite. ******** [ Leanna - Mazal/Halgerdur Quarters, Front Ear Station] The journey towards the quarters that had been chosen for her and her family, had been pretty uneventful for Lea, thanks mainly to Ari being fascinated by everything that they passed on the way. Although once they reached the door and Lea had accessed it, with her code, allowed her daughter to run ahead and explore. Looking around, Lea knew that they had chosen well, thanks to its three bedrooms, combined living and dining area, as well as a decent sized kitchen, which would be enough for her to cook in comfortably. For the heavily pregnant Betazoid, it was ideal for them and now she got to do the fun part of making it their own, with furniture and other personal items. Having decided to start afresh, her Uncle had arranged for new furniture to be delivered and she couldn't wait for it to arrive. In the meantime, she settled Ari in a quiet spot with her favourite cartoons on a PADD, then carefully began to move their luggage and other important personal items, off of the gravsled that had been brought courtesy of Seamus and placed it, where it needed to be, so it would be easier to unpack.

[Sovaan - Landing Pad C, Front Ear]
Well, at least he knew why they had almost collided now. It was, as he had thought, a mix-up on the station's behalf. He definitely had to put this in a report, though he was sure that the Captain would let someone know anyway. Anyone could make mistakes, but it put people at risk, a civilian in particular. Sovaan wondered if he was just getting too uptight; he'd been told before to let things like this go sometimes on the basis that he too, made mistakes. He had argued that he should also be reported if he made ones of that caliber, but he remembered his old Captain finding it more amusing than anything. He had a lot to learn, still.
That was especially so when it seemed as though his initial orders, even if they sounded like more of a request, were to take time to relax. At least he'd know where he was going. "Yes, sir. I'll...get on with that." He acted as though he was unfamilar with the concept. He did know that his quarters would be on Deck 12, since he'd meticulously studied the layout beforehand, but he would be working between Decks 16 and 18, so perhaps he ought to look there first. There was a brief moment realising that with the fact he had studied these decks so much and was still about to go find something work-related to do, that he really did need to relax.
Sovaan began walking further into the station, and was soon joined by the pilot of the smaller ship - Thomas Jett, if he had heard the Captain right. It appeared his name was overheard, as well. Though he still retained his rather stern demeanour, Sovaan felt a tad more relaxed, being able to speak with another pilot. "I've mostly handled shuttlecraft so far. I had taken a liking to the Type 7. I used to serve on an Excelsior-Class, if you're familiar. I took the helsman position quite a few times on that. The Sovereign-Class dances in a different way, though - it's got grace for such a big ship. I think we're both quite lucky it was so graceful, today."
The idea of what would've happened had it not been didn't bear thinking about. Sovaan glanced about, wondering where the turbolifts were and continuing with the conversation. "What's your business on the station? I assumed you were a courier, not many others this far out." The only thing of real significance he could think of near here was the wormhole at Barzan, which was unstable, so it hardly counted. Besides, that was already almost all the way back to Federation space. They really were out in the middle of nowhere.

[Brody Cooper -- mess hall USS MAC]
Brody watched her eat while most other people were starting to clear out leave the ship that had landed. She had a carelessness and happiness about her that he found enticing enough to stay. After all the platform would be chaotic and people had to get their luggage and belongings first. "I'm not planning on setting anything on fire, I swear. I'm pretty tame, you know. No need to get in trouble with security." That was probably the most boring answer he could give her but it was also true. He shifted a little in his seat and finished his glass of water. "I like newer ships because they usually have the newest equipment in the lab. Have you heard about the moon close by? They say it has more varieties of minerals than any other one in this solar system and even has Northern and Southern lights because of the oxygen in its atmosphere." He wasn't sure whether other people got as excited about Aurora Borealis as he did but they sure were pretty.

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Landing Pad C]
Seeing the situation slowly resolve itself, perhaps thanks to her little nudge, Judy made her exit. Slowly stepping down from the crate, with effort, and headed onwards, taking a few detours to observe the anarchic station.
[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, Anna Eastman Williams - XO's quarters, Front Ear Station]
Judy came in, and was immediately greeted by her daughter. "Mom! The bathtub is broken!" the young woman announced, causing her mother to shake her head. "What happened to 'hi mom,' 'welcome to our new home, mom', thanks for making sure there is a bathtub, mom'?" Judy asked indignantly. "Sorry, mom. Thank you, mom," Anna conceded. "Can you please fix it?" "I don't see any reason why we'd need it now, but I'll try," Judy answered.
Promptly, she walked over, and saw a disappointing scene: the walk-in tub she'd requested was installed, but its door was on the floor, off its hinges. "Right, mommy can fix that. Go get me a hyperspanner, and get your father on standby in case my back needs to get popped back into shape."
Anna promptly left the room, and returned with the requested tool. Judy whipped off her outer jacket with much fanfare, rolled up her red sleeves, and got to work, relishing the chance for the practical work she hadn't had much occasion to do in many years, or, well, ever. She liked to get her hands dirty now and then, but it was never a big component of her work.
Max soon entered the bathroom.
"If you keep fixing things, how am I supposed to feel like a man?" he asked her. "By popping my shoulder back in when it pops out," she answered. "What else is wrong here?" "There was an odd stain on one of the sofas, so I replicated all-new cushions, and we used the nice robot Lawrence gave us on the carpets, because they hadn't been cleaned." "Is Anna's room okay at least, or is she plotting to kill me?" "Anna's room had a My Little Targ poster, and Anna isn't happy," Anna cut in, crowding into the bathroom and speaking about herself in the third person as her mother was prone to do. "Oy vey izt mir," Judy muttered. "Whatever can you do with a poster? It's not like you can just remove it or something!" After delivering the taunt, Judy concluded. "There's something up with this station; I'll get it all sorted out. For now, we'll make do with what we have. We have each other, and we now have a bathtub."
Judy struggled to her feet with difficulty, leaning on her husband, and then tapped with satisfaction on the door. "And what do we say?" she asked her relatives. "Thanks mom." "Thank you, love." "Good. I've trained you well. Anna, can you pick up my jacket?"
Anna complied, and Judy headed to the armchair. This particular piece of furniture was a little more trustworthy, as they'd had it shipped from their home on Earth.
Taking her commbadge from the jacket, she clipped it on and placed her first call as XO of this station.

[ Petty Officer Conor Lynch - Landing Pad C, Front Ear Station] Petty Officer Conor Lynch was enjoying himself. He found the bustle of the pad and the new arrivals exciting. These were all potential friends... and potential customers for The Spudriq. He was sure that a goodly amount of them would enjoy a potato. While he arranged the new folk into helpful queues to make lives a bit easier for the Security personnel checking everyone's credentials and manifests, he paused to speak to a few likely looking characters. To those he proudly showed the restaurant's advertisement. There was nothing that got him worked up quite like a decent feed of dinner. Apart from maybe a decent feed of pints. But for this, Old Cheesy was the perfect salesman. He tossed a very casual salute toward Commander Ellis, who was looking dapper in a suit. And while off-duty too. Lynch wondered if he had a job interview. Or perhaps he was due in court? Why else would a man wear a suit, really, unless bound for the slammer or the altar? Or the ground. As the man passed, it was then that Lynch noticed an emaciated-looking Klingon, lost and confused, and searching for an absurdly named ship. "Nah man," he told the young fella as he moved closer to him. He nodded toward the huge Sovereign in the distance. "That one's called the Mac. Captained by Felicity Ellis." [PO2 Dihiq, son of Kroka - Docking Pad C]Dihiq looked at the Petty Officer with an understanding, but terrified, and also confused, look. "Mac? Like Mac and Cheese?" he asked. "Like a Big Mac? Is that short for something?"He debated whether to make his exit. "I guess that makes more sense."Dihiq was starting to feel a need to use the bathroom.

"As are their Commanders. Would you mind bringing me to the Command Center? I'd like to take the opportunity to pick your brain before you make your well-deserved escape, if you don't mind."[ Front Ear - Landing Pad C --> Command Center - Commander Priscilla Parsinp] Blast, this youngun' made it difficult to stay angry at her. She was so conciliatory. As if she weren't here to take over the station.Hmph, come on, then. Without a backward glance to see if Ellis was following, Parsinp stalked off, leading the way off the chaotic landing pad. If it hadn't already been clear, the oddities of the station would soon become clear to the incoming captain. The lights were dim, but a careful look would reveal dust bunnies in corners. Lackadaisical officers went about their duties half-heartedly. In several alcoves along the corridors stood large tanks containing live lobsters. The tanks were the cleanest part of the place. As the pair entered a turbolift, Parsinp muttered, Command, to get them moving. She finally glared up at Felicity, her face blotchy with anger. You seem under the impression that I want to leave. Let me assure you, that isn't the case. I don't know why the admirals suddenly decided I needed to retire, but it's not my choice. They simply informed me that my services are no longer required, that I would be 'retired with honor' and that they were sending my replacement. Since she was on her way out the door anyway, Parsinp had no compunction about unloading her ire on the young captain.

"Alright, twist me rubber arm why don't ye?" O'Leary shook her head, pretending to be put-upon. She held up a hand when McIntyre dismissed the Andorian. "Not so fast, if ye don't mind. I'll have what they're havin'. In a to-go mug. That ye use for coffee."Delightfully devilish, Niamh. As Flaisl moved off, a face on her like a melted welly, she wondered aloud, "Who pissed in your wan's cornflakes?" Service just wasn't what it used to be in the Aft Lounge. Things like that never happened in the Officer Mess. Well, maybe that was because it was always empty. When the thoroughly sauced pair began talking about flying and her Big Mac, she sighed, suddenly feeling a little melancholic. "Aye, should be doing the swoosh swoosh meself, but alas, my pesky sense of fairness has once again ruined my life. Let Lt. Sovaan take a shot." She sniffed. "He seems a good kid, so he does." Niamh couldn't remember how old the Orion was exactly, but everyone was a kid to her. As the friends went back to their cards, Niamh found herself ignoring McIntyre's ramblings in lieu of wondering something. "There might be something to be said for a Front Ear pub crawl." [Aft Lounge, Deck 10, USS Mac] Caroline caught Chris once again attempting what he thought was a sneaky peeky at her cards. If he thought she’d take that sitting down, well she wasn’t gonna stand for that. ”Ah ya old cheat. Ya wanna see m’cards so bad here!” She swatted him on his cheek with her hand of cards. Haven’t got any fours, see? Go fish!”Taking a sip of her Warp Core Breach, she considered Niamh’s words. After another sip, she nodded to herself. ”Sovaan, eh? Big guy, looks like he’s carved from solid rock? Yeah, in my professional opinion, he definitely seems fit to handle things.” She dissolved into a fit of giggles before continuing. ”Yes! Let’s go on an adventure! To the new Frontier… Front Ear… what the heck kinda name is that? Ah well, doesn’t matter. ADVENTURE TIME! Although, hopefully this adventure won’t come with the follow up journey where we hunt for McIntyre’s missing pants. You’re on your own for that one, Pantsless Wonder.”Caroline slammed her cards on the table, rattling the now partially empty cups. ”GIN! I win, now let’s go! There’s shenanigans to be had!” She crowed triumphantly, completely forgetting which card game they’d been playing. Discreetly, yet entirely unimpressed by the drunken display, Flaisl set the to-go cup down in front of Niamh. The drunken idiots had their credit on tab, and she was already looking forward to giving herself a generous tip on their behalf. It was the least they could do. [Aft Lounge] "I imagine that is the service to be expected here in the pit. Nothing but poor service and us overworked no-pips!" he said, in an overdramatic (and slightly slurred) fashion "Fair? That is not a word I would pin on ya from a distance. I would ssssay..." he trailed off as got distanced by the waitress for a quick second before snapping back "...dominant. You are dominant!" he said with a grin, as if he had just cracked the code of the universe "You walk into a room and itssss jussst something else!""OY" he exclaimed upon getting swatted with the cards "I could of gotten a nasty paper cut AND DIED. What would you have done then?" he asked, pointing a finger at Cara as he fetched from the pile "Ooh, that Sov...Soven? Sovon? Sovaan? is one of those green people. The...um... the uh... ORIONS! The Orions! I wonder if he knows anyone I'd be interested in. Heh. Heh." he thought aloud, giggling much the same as Cara "My pants were off for good reason!" he exclaimed, making sure that Lt... um... Ma'am(?) was completely clear on that "Wait, Gin?" he asked, squinting at the cards "Weren't we playing Spoons? Or was it Six Card Golf?.... hm. You sneaky sausage, I've been bamboozled." he said, slamming his fist on the table "Very well, let the shenan....shenanigons... shenanigans ensueth! LEAD THE WAY TOWARDS ADVENTURE!"

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, Anna Eastman Williams - XO's quarters, Front Ear Station]=A= "Eastman to Ozu. Is now a good time for that tour?"=A= [Chief Engineer's Quarters - Deck 25 - MCPO Ozu Saya] Saya sighed and raised her head from where it had been resting on Kyo's chest. She glance around at their Spartan quarters and smiled up at Kyo before tapping her combadge to respond. =/\= Yes, Judy. I'll meet you in main engineering in a few minutes. =/\= Kyo kissed the top of her head, running his hand down her braid. I'll see you in a few hours, then?Hopefully less. There's not a great deal we can do today. It may depend on how the captain's meeting with the station commander goes. She rocked to her feet, but Kyo pulled her back for a long kiss. After a couple of minutes, Saya disentangled herself, shaking her head with a small smile. You've made me late now. It's a good thing I only have to go a couple of decks.Kyo grinned, the corners of his eyes crinkling. He was glad to have his mate close and, hopefully, in a less dangerous place than serving on a starship. Saya quickly washed her warm, flushed face with cool water and tidied her hair before heading into Evekh's room to lean down and kiss the sleeping toddler's forehead. He lay curled on his side with one hand tucked under his cheek and the other gripping the ear of his favorite stuffed dog. She stroked his soft cheek and stared down at him for a moment, then hurried through the living area. Before exiting, she turned back to Kyo. I will be back as soon as I can.

[Sovaan - Landing Pad C, Front Ear]
I think we're both quite lucky it was so graceful, today." The idea of what would've happened had it not been didn't bear thinking about.
The Former Officer pointed at the nearest exist as he spoke to the person that obviously was a pilot. Tom actually liked talking to pilots especially younger ones as it reminded him of the events of himself. In a way, Doctor emphasizes with Doctors, Jett could feel for pilots as most of their work was unappreciated. He began walking as most of the higher up walked away and did their things and listened to his answers. As he began walking he began smiling as he learned the flights that he liked. “Huh Type 7, I guess some people might like the extra space inside the shuttle. I think I am more a fan of a Type 11 Shuttle seems to be sleeker.”. He responded about the shuttle comment in the truth that is something that pilots loved talking which is their craft and preference. Even though he was confident that he could pilot almost anything each of them had their own quirks. When he commented about the Excelsior-Class, there was a small stop and a hesitation for a moment. He looked at the pilot and wondered if he knew how he was and messing with him as his carrier ended when he was in command of an Excelsior-class. He looked at the man and noticed or an instant told him that he was not messing with him and the question was genuine. Instead of an insult, Jett continued walking as he tried exiting the area. The man responded “Yeah, I know Excelxior class pretty well. They were well ahead of their time in terms of construction. It had to believe that they have been the workhorse of Starfleet for almost 100 years. Does it still feel like piloting a whale? The trusters have never been a strong suit in that model”. Tom commented. He liked talking about ship and wanted to ask him if he ever piloted a Galaxy-class. He then walked to the Tubolift and politely let him enter the Turbolift before him. As they entered Jett Commanded “Promenade”. As the Turbolift felt moving Jett looked at the pilot and responded “I am here for a quick stop. I want to review some historical records here and once I see the records, I am out of your guys hair. I know your Captain is heartbroken of me leaving her sights again, but things will go on. I don’t plan on staying long. There is a lot to discover out there. A lot of business….”. Jett stopped talking for a second as he got an idea. As the door opened, he observed the promenade. It has individuals coming and going but he had been in Station’s that have been busier. They were people from different walks in life some civilians and some Starfleet personnel. As he walked in he began to observe several aquariums with Lobsters on them scattered on the Station. “Huh…that’s strange someone took Lobsterfest from Red Lobster a little too seriously” The man remarked as he looked around and observed from a distance he saw a Casino. He turned to Sovaan and said “I bet your Starfleet training required you to take several math courses” . He looked at the Casino as he saw a business opportunity. [color=dakrorange” Question: Have you ever played blackjack?”

[Sovaan - Landing Pad C ---> Promenade, Front Ear]
"I tend to require more space." The fact was not lost on Sovaan that he had a larger build than many of his fellows in Flight Control, and that in days now long gone on Earth, he would not have qualified to even be a pilot due to his height. He was glad those days were over, but his large frame and height did make things slightly less convenient at times, while not hampering his abilities as a pilot at all. Nowadays, any shuttle was large enough to accommodate someone like him, or even people of a larger race.
Sovaan entered into the turbolift with Jett, deciding not to add any other location. The promenade would do nicely. He wanted to see what it was that other officers, or at least normal people on the station, did for fun. "...It does, yes. The handling did get us into some trouble during the war, as I remember. Thankfully, I think they've improved upon the design. You were in Starfleet yourself?" The question was certainly genuine - Sovaan had no idea as to who Jett had once been, and didn't like to poke into business that wasn't his own. If someone was no longer there, he felt he had no right to look at a personnel file without a good reason.
He decided that he wouldn't ask about how Jett knew the captain; that wasn't his business either. The man kept his hands behind him and his face still appeared rather flat, even as they stepped out onto the promenade, like he still hadn't figured out how to smile. "What kind of records are you trying to look at? If it is from before the war, some records may have been lost in sabotage attempts." Though he was no expert, Sovaan knew that there had been those, especially with the infiltration the Dominion had been capable of. Still, it was best not to...dwell on that time.
Sovaan's eyes tracked where his new acquaintace was looking, and he too noticed the Casino. Hearing Jett's questions, he wasn't sure what to answer. He supposed he was trying to relax. "...Yes, I majored in Astrophysics in the Academy. I also did play blackjack there; from what I was told, I'm pretty good at it, though I haven't played in a while." That 'while' was several years ago, but he recalled the rules. It couldn't be that hard to get back into the flow of, could it?

She stroked his soft cheek and stared down at him for a moment, then hurried through the living area. Before exiting, she turned back to Kyo. I will be back as soon as I can. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams & Anna Eastman Williams - First Officer's Quarters]=A= "I'll meet you there, if my back doesn't give way first. Eastman out." =A= Judy answered, peppering in a bit of her humor. Then, she turned to her family. "Why don't you take a break from unpacking, explore the station, and we'll reconvene later for a meal?" she suggested. "You can tell me how the station looks for those of us who don't have this many pips.""Sure, mom. I can take dad window-shopping," Anna answered. "Don't torture your father too much, and try not to pull the 'oh my god, you're embarrassing me' face on him. Let dad be dad," Judy countered. "Her father is used to being bossed around by beautiful Jewish women. He'll be fine," Max answered, giving Judy a little kiss on the cheek. In addition to complimenting her, he had also imitated her manner, as he was prone to do on account of their long, close relationship. With that, Judy stood up from the armchair, took her (distinctly not regulation) handbag, and headed out. ***
[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Outside Main Engineering, Deck 24]Judy exited the turbolift with her usual elegant swiftness, her orthopedic shoes making a softer sound on the deck plating than the standard boots of the younger generation, and her jacket tied around her waist. She looked around, and promptly identified Saya. "Hello there, young lady," she greeted. "Something tells me we're looking at a lot of work ahead of us. The temperature control isn't to my liking, which is normal, but you wouldn't believe the state my quarters were in."Unsaid was the gross concern about whatever the hell happened on the landing pad. ***
[NPCs - Max Williams & Anna Eastman Williams - The Spudriq Potato Bar, Promenade]Only a few minutes after Judy set off towards Main Engineering, her husband and daughter headed towards the promenade. As Judy's career so often took precedence, Max was used to playing the part of the full-time dad, and Anna was used to taking her father along on trips as needed. The two looked around, observed the various stores, when one stood out. "The Spudriq? That's an interesting name," Max noted. "Let's look at that one."Anna rolled her eyes. Already, her father was looking at restaurants, nerding out. "Okay, dad," she acquiesced nonetheless. Coming in, the two noticed a familiar face. Young from Max's standpoint but old from Anna's, red-headed, and with pips. "Hi, Dr. Baker," the teenager greeted the doctor. "Can we sit with you?"Also there was an Irish lady, probably closer to Max's age (and Judy's). He greeted both with a nod and a, "good morning."
