Havik proceeded to shake the hand of his first officer with a firm hand, a human custom that he had adopted during his time spent at Starfleet Academy on Earth. Even though he was invited to, Havik remained standing, as he was a guarded person by virtue of his upbringing in Romulan Space. As the first officer asked him on the status of the brig, Havik picked up a PADD where he began to briefly review his notes; “The status of the brig is less than satisfactory, Commander.” commented Havik, holding back an inner rage that would normally have him go on an emotionally-charged tirade on the repugnant disorganization of this station. “Although the actual physical status of the cells is acceptable, multiple prisoners have, on occasion, reported missing meals, which I presume stems from the station’s lack of organization. After reviewing the camera feeds, I’ve also found that our personnel occasionally leave cells unattended – which is deplorable.”, extrapolated Havik further, adding a bit of his own opinion at the end. “Additionally, we are holding multiple prisoners with violent, criminal histories, who I assume have fled to the borders of Federation space to escape persecution, and are awaiting transportation back to inner Federation space. If nothing else, I’m scheduling patrol routes for enlisted personnel and daily schedules for the prisoners to provide more structure.”
[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Brig, Deck S3]Judy sighed, evidently displeased with the conditions described to her. She also didn't exactly appreciate the Ensign's rigidity, but she kept that to herself. "Oy vey izt mir," she muttered, before setting her mind to addressing the concerns more articulately. "That's not good at all. We'll need to have a serious, systemic reorganization here, and it sounds like you're already on top of that," she said, sounding calmer but still aware of the gravity of the problem. "I'd like to see those new patrol routes implemented tomorrow morning, at least as a stop-gap solution, and we can work on a plan for everything else in the days and weeks to come. Mustn't be too hasty."The aging officer stood up a little straighter, though she still maintained a relaxed posture. "That being said, Ensign, I don't want to rope you into this if you don't want to. Is reorganizing the Brig something that interests you?"If there was one thing evident from Judy's conduct, from her relaxed posture to this question, it was the fact that she was not a career soldier. She approached her job like a civilian manager, with an eye to incentives, motivating her subordinates, and personal development, and a reluctance to wield the chain of command. =/\= Commander Parsinp to all station residents, be on the alert. Harvey, our friendly neighborhood plant lifeform from Kerelia has been seen out and about today. Be sure you give him a wide berth if you come across him and contact the command center. Thank you. =/\= ***** Harvey made very brief appearances on landing pad C and in an open holding cell in the brig before disappearing again in transporter beams. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Main Brig]Judy shook her head as they were suddenly interrupted by the massive comm - which the older woman was sure would lead to some measure of panic and disorder - as well as the appearance and disappearance of the plant here in the Brig. "Ensign, I believe that there might have to do with that message," she stated, already planning her next move in her head. "Report it to Ops, if you will."And with that, she headed out. She had a family to see. [ Margaret "Peggy" Lynch - The Spudriq Potato Bar, Promenade, Front Ear] "Oh. Well, much obliged, sir," Peggy said in response to the comment about her business, her cheeks warming a little and coming across a little a-fluster. She had put a lot of work into The Spudriq, and a lot of her heart and soul. Conor had promised to help, but in truth the useless lump had done next to nothing. She perked up again when he mentioned his training. "Don't suppose ye want a job, do ye?" She was only half messing. Peggy turned soft eyes on the little cherub when he thanked her. His precious smile was like a break in a cloudy sky. "Ye are very welcome, young man. And once ye finish all yer buttery mash, I might just have somethin' even better for ye as a dessert."Thinking of the squares of Cadbury's Dairy Milk she had in her purse, she backed away from the table with another smile and small wave for the little lad. She'd planned on having those squares with her mid-morning cup of tea, but she'd happily give them over to the little boy with the carrot-top hair. [NPCs - Max Williams & Anna Eastman Williams - The Spudriq Potato Bar]With some reluctance, Max handed Evekh over. He wasn't nearly done handling youngsters, having 5 grandchildren and likely more to come, but he could take a break. Having had a late start on family life, he always had that immense appreciation for it all. He also had an appreciation for the comment, sincere or not, about taking a job. "I'd have to give it some thought, if you're hiring," he replied, playing it coy while at the same time being sincere. He still had his cookbooks to consider, and more importantly, his family. He expected Judy would be supportive, but they needed a plan to make it work for the family. Family that, as it were, was right there. "It's weird. How are you guys not as weirded out as I am by this thing? How can the plant move?" Anna asked, still hung up on the weird message. [Spudriq Potato Bar - MCPO Ozu Saya, Domen Kyo, Domen Evekh] Saya began eating quickly, with small, neat bites, as close to shoveling food as she ever got. She was used to eating meals on the fly while working, and Kyo was used to reminding her, and even cajoling her sometimes, to eat regularly. She was in for a long rest of the day and likely wouldn't get another break for a meal, so it made sense to fortify now while she could. Evekh sat on her right knee with his mother holding him in place with one hand. They could have asked for a booster seat for him, but with how busy the place was, it didn't really seem necessary. He picked up his spoon and copied his mother, spooning mashed potatoes into his mouth quite happily, if a little more messily than Saya. He waved at Peggy as the woman left their table. I don't know about the others, Saya said between bites, But I've been in Starfleet long enough that there's not a great deal that surprises me anymore. I'm sure there's a logical explanation behind it.I'm used to weird by proxy, Kyo said with a chuckle as he broke into his own potato more slowly. Without looking away from her plate, Saya snuck her fork over to Kyo's and stole a bite of his potato, humming in appreciation as he swatted playfully at her hand. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams & Anna Eastman Williams - The Spudriq Potato Bar]"I guess Starfleet is weird enough to do that to you," Anna conceded, having spent 2 years on a starship. And then, behind her, came Judy, placing one hand each on Anna and Max's heads. "Hello there," she greeted the group at large, before bending down to exchange a kiss with Max. "I'm glad the plant, whatever that's about, hasn't gotten to any of you.""We were actually hoping you'd enlighten us, Commander," Max countered playfully, as his beloved grabbed a chair. "Aren't you going to go see what's going on?""I'm giving the old Commander a wide berth - I'll clean up after her once she's out, waiting to see where I may be useful, and besides, I'm no use to anyone when I'm worried about you all," she countered, before looking over at Saya. "My dear, do you have any thoughts?"Smoothly, shamelessly, she began to eat Max's food.

Felicity couldn't really blame him. Her mother elicited all kinds of reactions from people, and most didn't have the kind of shared history that she and Jett had, nor the service. When he capitulated, she loosed the breath she'd been holding. At the observation that she was having a rather rough start, she glanced sideways at him. It wasn't even noon yet, and the list of problems already seemed endless. There was a small, half-smile on her lips when she responded. "I've actually had worse first days." The Kildara sprang to mind immediately. She didn't think any new assignment would quite beat providing counseling to a science vessel that had been ravaged by the Taranko parasite. One thing hadn't changed between that first posting and this last one, however, and that was her inability to say no to an offer of decent whiskey. The turbolift made the very short journey two decks down, and the doors opened to reveal the plush lounges and suites that were used to host important meetings of senior staff, and talks with delegates. Much like the very few other areas of the station she'd seen so far, this one was also covered in a coating of dust; motes twirling through the air and drawing her attention when they caught the dim light. There was a faint smell of something - damp, perhaps? Whatever it was, that smell had no business in space. Another problem to add to the list. The woman hadn't even seen her own quarters yet. She began walking toward the nearest room, nodding toward it by raising her chin, and stepped through the doors. When the room didn't illuminate immediately, she narrowed her eyes and barked, "Lights." They blinked, once, twice, then maintained a steady thrum. "Remind me to speak with the Chief about overhauls..." She muttered, mostly to herself, as she moved toward the head of the table and the integrated console there. With a few taps and strokes of her fingers, she'd entered her credentials and gained the access he'd requested. Then she stood back and folded her arms. "Have at it, Sherlock. And before you ask, I'm not leaving you alone with my codes."Felicity arched a brow, waiting for an argument. It was then that the marginally helpful ensign contacted her. =/\= Ensing Hatchett to Captain Ellis, I'm afraid the transporter logs have been deleted. We don't have anyone on this crew capable of restoring those, but if you have someone among your people... =/\= He trailed off, hoping the captain would have a recommendation. She chewed the inside of her cheek for just a moment, and then responded, plan in mind. =/\= Yes, thank you, Ensign. Forward everything you have to Master Chief Ozu Saya's PADD. She'll be in touch momentarily. Ellis out." =/\= So it was foul play. It wasn't a self-transporting pet plant, after all, but something else. It was a lot of trouble to go to for a joke, if that's what it was. And at whose expense? Parsinp's? Riordan's - the potential unsuspecting snack? Or was it just to mess with the newcomers. Felicity's eyes narrowed; she wasn't partial to any of those options. =/\= "Ellis to Ozu. Chief, I'm really very sorry for interrupting your settling-in time, but there's an issue with a transporting plant. I know, it sounds bizarre." Everything here has been bizarre, she added to herself, before she continued updating their Chief of Engineering. "Ops tells me the transporter logs have been deleted, but I was hoping you might be able to restore them, most importantly, and then pinpoint a culprit." =/\= [Spudriq Potato Bar - MCPO Ozu Saya, Domen Kyo, Domen Evekh] Saya glanced up and smiled at Judy when her friend appeared, but kept eating steadily until the voice from her combadge brought her to a halt. She blew out an explosive breath before tapping the badge to answer, =/\= Acknowledged, Captain. I'm on my way. =/\= She turned her gaze to Kyo. I'm sorry, that's my grace period up.Kyo nodded in understanding and stood, offering a hand to help her stand while she still held Evekh. Saya accepted the assistance, then passed their son to Kyo. He bent to give her a quick kiss and sat again, pulling Evekh's bowl closer. Do you want me to have the rest of yours boxed up?Please? And bring it to me later if I don't get home within a few hours? Saya kissed him again with a smile. Sure, don't worry about it. Just let me know where you are.Saya gathered her PADDs and looked at Judy. Want to join me? I think this'll require a trip to the computer core. At least, that's the best place to go hunting for deleted files. Good chance to check it out anyway.

[ Lieutenant Niamh O'Leary - Locker Room, Deck 32] =/\= "O'Leary to Dr. Baker. Doc, Cap'n has ordered a full check for Lieutenant Riordan followin' her tumble with the murder plant. Requesting emergency beam out for the both of us." =/\= [ Thea - Sickbay, Deck 10] Aside from meeting some of the other members of her department, Sickbay had remained relatively quiet as Thea familiarised herself with her new domain. Although the station wide call to alert all of its residents about a missing plant, had piqued the CMO's interest as to what this Harvey exactly was and if he posed any danger to those who called Front Ear home. Then again, given what she had witnessed so far, it wouldn't be too much of a shock, if this wasn't what you could call ordinary. However there had been no sightings and nothing really said about him, until the call came through from O'Leary. Thea listened and her earlier thoughts about this plant causing trouble, were confirmed as she then responded to the call. =/\= Dr Baker to O'Leary, acknowledged, standby for transport =/\=Thea then called for the emergency beam out and was ready with her tricorder, to begin the full check up, once Riordan and O'Leary materialised. ******** [ Gregory Ellis - Private Quarters] "Honey, you could come out here in a burlap sack and I'd still think you were the most beautiful woman I've ever seen," he told her with feeling, though his smile turned a little melancholic when she said she'd hoped it would distract him. It would likely take a lot more for him to forget the situation with his mother, or how much hassle she was causing them, but he appreciated the effort. "Don't worry, as soon as I warn Flick that the mothership approaches, I'll put it all firmly out of my head." He began to move toward her, his PADD in his hand as he typed a quick message to his sister. His eyes were down as he moved, not worried about walking into any furniture - there was none. He'd finished by the time he got to Brooke. Greg reached out to wrap an arm around her waist. "Come on, let's go check out the bakery premises, then I think we need to refuel." He left his suit jacket behind and a few buttons of his shirt open, preferring to feel a little more comfortable and casual now that they were sure they had the rest of the morning to themselves. [ Brooke - Private Quarters] Brooke wasn't sure if her tactic to take his mind off Antoinette had worked or not, but his smile and comment about how he would still think that she was beautiful regardless of what she wore, did make her smile. Greg always knew what to say to make her feel less guilty and better about herself and this was no different. " See that's one of the many reasons, why I love you so much" she admitted, before he assured her that once he had warned Flick, which she would of also done, he would put it all firmly out of his head. That was easy to enough to believe and she certainly didn't doubt him, as he moved closer, once he was finished and wrapped his arm around her waist. Having him close and feeling his arm around her, was something she always enjoyed, grinning slightly as his comment about needing to refuel. " I like this plan, especially the need to refuel".The fact that he left his jacket off and left a few buttons of his shirt open, was very much appreciated by his wife to be, but at the same time, having him relaxed and comfortable was always a bonus.

[ Admiral Antoinette Ellis - USS Dauntless, Docking Bay] The innocent enthusiasm was music to Antoinette's ears. She nodded her head, as though in complete agreement with the young woman's words, her expression morphing into one of obvious approval. "I have no doubt Starfleet is lucky to have you." Then the older woman's shoulders relaxed a little, and she leaned closer. "But you know, there are many ways that a conscientious officer like yourself can be their best for the Fleet."The Admiral waited a moment to make sure that she had Trellgin's attention. It was time for serious talk, but the friendly posturing continued. "I fear for Front Ear myself. I want to see it do well, to continue to be a beacon of Federation ideals out here, but I may have to recommend the closure of this facility. It has been allowed to flounder under unsteady leadership for too long, I'm afraid, and these reassignments are part of my last ditch efforts to save the station. What I really need are people here I can trust. People who have the Fleet's best interests at heart."She looked pointedly at the young scientist. "Do you think that might be you?"
[Rylonis Trellgin, USS Dauntless, Docking Bay] Rylonis watched the Admiral as she spoke to her of how she was considering having to close down Front Ear, this put a look of near horror across her face. She would hate to lose her new assignment right after getting it, after waiting the last three years for this opportunity. " Of course! I would do anything to keep this station running, I've been waiting for three years to get an assignment like this, I'm not about to let it be spoiled because of a lack of proper direction. If you need help, please consider me as an invaluable asset Admiral!" she says, her voice stressing her fear of losing the new assignment. Her mind was really trying to wrap around what the Admiral had just told her. " If I may ask though, in what ways has the station been allowed to flounder exactly? Is something happening on the station that I've not been briefed on?" she asked in a concerned tone. [ Admiral Antoinette Ellis - USS Dauntless, Docking Bay] "I shall, thank you, Ensign," Antoinette responded when Trellgin said to consider her an asset, inclining her head slightly. Inwardly, she realised that she almost had her, and that they would soon pass the point of outright refusal. Thus, she would push harder. "There are a great many things happening on this station that I don't even know about." Again, her tone was conspiratorial, her expression almost disbelieving. "I'll be truthful with you, Ensign, the people out here have become complacent. And although we are in peace time once again, Front Ear is also situated on the edge of an area of space we have yet to explore. We do not want to leave any future potential First Contact scenarios in the hands of such... incompetence. We just cannot risk another Dominion War. You don't get a second chance to make a good first impression." She eyed Trellgin then, injecting her point with some weight. "I am glad I'll be able to count on your reports. And your discretion, of course."

[Tubolift – Deck 3] The man has some sympathy for the Captain. He could even imagine the day she was having. The Station was hardly up to Starfleet Standards and the behavior was not as professional. If this was during the war, Tom would have had half the idea to do a Drill, just to start building discipline with the crew. He was delighted that Felicity would give him public record access. He was soo close to achive his goal. Icarus. The Ship that his wife went missing. It was stop was this Station and he hoped that there was a clue there. [ Felicity Ellis - Turbolift -> Deck 3] She didn't need any extra-sensory gifts to sense the man's hesitation. She chewed the inside of her cheek for just a moment, and then responded, plan in mind. =/\= Yes, thank you, Ensign. Forward everything you have to Master Chief Ozu Saya's PADD. She'll be in touch momentarily. Ellis out." =/\= =/\= "Ellis to Ozu. Chief, I'm really very sorry for interrupting your settling-in time, but there's an issue with a transporting plant. I know, it sounds bizarre." Everything here has been bizarre, she added to herself, before she continued updating their Chief of Engineering. "Ops tells me the transporter logs have been deleted, but I was hoping you might be able to restore them, most importantly, and then pinpoint a culprit." =/\= He was not surprised that the Station’s lights were not working correctly. Jett nodded at her comment to remind her as this Station was hardly to Starfleet standards. “They really relaxed the Starfleet Standard since I left.” . The man teased. There was nothing that they could do at the moment and cold only imagine Admiral Ellis seeing what he has saw. Jett accessed the console and began the records search on the database. “Thank you Captain…once I get this information, I will leave here faster than you can say: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?” Getting the information and leaving was a priority if the Admiral would have seen him talking to her daughter she might toss him to the brig or worse airlock him. As he continued pressing the control he began checking video archives and he made the off the cuff comment. “Y’know if I am Sherlock…that makes you Dr. Holmes”. Jett commented with a smile. As he tried and tease her for a second. She had the issue with the plan in which Tom could overhear. It what he thought someone was transporting the plan and deleting it. Which means someone who had access. Regardless, trying to interference in the plant situation would make things more complicated as plenty of people were working on that. As Jett pressed the computer he did not try to hide from Felicity was he was accessing. “All right…Icarus dates of docking….easy peasy.” . As Tom hit the Icarus file he was not surprised that most of them were marked CONFIDENTIAL. Instead of going to those files he accessed the video logs. He turned on all the visual logs of the promenade and public places during the Icarus resupply stop that lasted 6 hours. He then looked at it and he knew it was a Science vessel. Jett “Y’know one of the greatest mysteries in recent times is: Where is the Icarus? Y’know the Starfleet Science vessel that disappeared near this area. I imagine that the person that finds it would become rich enough to retire and probably another medal.. The man lied about his motive. He was not going to tell her that he was searching for his missing wife, whom he presumed to be dead. As much as he wanted to forget her he could not. Tom asked his Academy Friend Captain Cyrus Clark to help him get him access to the files and that’s when all hell broke loose. As he looked at the Video he observed the Captain of the Icarus and his Wife, Anna talking to a man. “Computer, Stop”. Jett Ordered. “Computer, take the Civilian individual and run a facial recognition” . Tom responded The computer began doing an Analysis. “What the hell? Tom looked surprised. “Felicity you might want to look at this. . Tom walked away for a second. He then continued the video and it showed the man following the Captain and Chief Science Officer, his wife onto the Icarus. Tom then explained “The Icarus is a Nova Class Vessel. The News reported that all 78 people went missing. I know the name of every single person on that ship. I take my treasure hunting seriously… when they left the Station they had now 79, people on board. Which means…this person was not on the Official Records. Starfleet lied to us, but why?”. Jett felt he stumbled into something major. He knew that Felicity would probably confirm his findings but he knew all 78 people on board. He studied them looking for clues. He would let the Captain check to see if there were any visuals.

Sven's quarters |Sven Aune|
Sven waited for a moment. His combadge chirped back. "This is officer Mayberry. What do you need?"
Sven eyed the stain and the replicator which was now smoking. "Well, there is a stain here that needs to be taken care of. And the replicator just shorted out...."there was a long pause. "Is it urgent?""No?""Okay, I'll be right down."Sven was left feeling puzzled by the conversation. [Ens. Isaiah Quinn - Xenobiology Lab, Front Ear Station] Isaiah first listened to as Ensign Forthright explained what a Harvey was. Of course, she also pointed out that it was just a plant and shouldn't have been able to move. That naturally begged the question, of how it was possible that it could be seen at random points around the station. He supposed it could be transported, but the question would lie in the motive? Not to mention the fact that a clear record of those transports would have been logged as well. It didn't make sense to Isaiah, and presently, neither did quite a few things. The next thing that he explained was 'Bob.' Or at least that was how she referred to the green goo. It seemed as if a number of these specimens had been brought up from the planet below, Kerelia. She revealed that she'd had four la partners, but each one had requested a transfer. Isaiah took a deep breath, and began to wonder how much of this was a result of a number of oversights around this place. And for her not to know who the Chief of Science was, well... just how far out of the way could someone be nudged. Isaiah made a mental note to inquire about Mabel to Lt. T'Shrek when the opportunity presented itself. Right now, they still had their original orders. "So, what exactly can you tell me about this creature we found at the Landing Pad, besides the fact that it's cute." It wasn't that he found the creature cute, but Mabel had certainly indicated as much a number of times on the way to the lab. He took out a tricorder and began to scan the vat of green goo. |Xenobiology lab | ens. Mable Forthright |"Well it certainlty is cute. And adorable. But from what I can see, it has a tail, and claws, and legs, and probably a spine..." She pulled out her tricorder and started scanning it. "It is in shock from the phaser stun. Computer extrapolate a treatment based on the scans taken for this creature." she asked, "and I think it's a female. Hard to tell with its triplicate set of chromosomes." "So, uh, what do you think?" she inquired of Isaiah concerning the lab. It was in disarray, and defiantly had a touch of Mable about it. Bob, the BLORP bubbled in its vat. The computer responded. "Genetically, this creature is more related to the Felid line of animals found on Earth. A dose of 5 mL of Phenatax is recommended."

[Alex Hust - Medical Bay - Diamond Dog]
Things had finally begun to quiet down on the ship, now that the train wreck and constant pain in the backside personality known as Captain Costa was off the ship on business. With her gone, the odds of explosions, stabbings, shootings, bar fights, and headaches on the ship went down significantly. It wasn't anything personal against the Captain, it came with the turf. She was a Captain, he was a Doctor. It was a natural conflict. Doctors flouted the authority of command, wherever it was, and Captains ignored the orders of Doctors, whenever possible. Usually, the Doctor was right. He'd seen more than one Captain flop out of bed like a fish out of water on the floor after being told the sedative would take three hours to wear off... not six minutes. At this point, he'd stopped warning them twice. It was funny to watch.
Docking with a Federation outpost had... mixed memories for Alex. He didn't particularly like the Fleet, but he had to respect them. They'd not lost their explorer's mindset during the Dominion war, despite heavy losses and almost incomprehensible odds. Ground forces had held their posts by the thousands, and losing members by the hundreds. At the same time, however, the structure was stuffy and awful compared to the relative freedom outside Federation space. Perhaps that's why he'd picked up a post on this ship, contracting out his soul to his current Hed as long as he had so far - beyond the pay, sometimes jobs took them out on the frontier, like this.
He was taking his time today, relaxing in the ship's now-quiet interior, downloading more logs from the station's computer and kicking his feet up on the desk. Provided the Captain didn't have need for him, and nothing interesting developed on the feeds to draw him off the ship, he'd be quite comfortable here for the time being.

It was certainly organic, but it didn't really appear to be a single entity but... many. Though, they appeared to be bound by some rather unique cohesive properties. He lowered the tricorder and continued to stare at the goo... or Bob rather. He still had no intention of closing the distance between himself and the vat. His attention was captured by Mabel as she began to note the rather obvious physical description of the creature they had brought into the lab. She reported that the creature was in shock and asked the computer to extrapolate appropriate treatments. That had been a concern he had before Lt. Aune had ordered him to stun the creature. He finally learned something significant that being the sex of the creature and the note that it had a triplicate set of chromosomes. "Triplicate?" he repeated. "Is it possible that this is a non-binary species?" There were certainly species that weren't restricted to only two sexes. He listened as the computer prescribed a treatment. He didn't want to impede Mabel's treatment of the creature, but he did still have his orders from Lt. Aune. "Now that you have the species' genetic make-up is in the computer, will we be able to conduct a scan from here to determine if there are anymore aboard the station?" Lt. Aune had wanted to know if this was an isolated incident, or if there was some sort of infestation.

[Spudriq Potato Bar - MCPO Ozu Saya, Domen Kyo, Domen Evekh] Saya glanced up and smiled at Judy when her friend appeared, but kept eating steadily until the voice from her combadge brought her to a halt. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams), Max Williams, & Anna Eastman Williams - The Spudriq Potato Bar]Judy and Max playfully jockeyed over the plate and utensils, enjoying their moment together, before Saya's call and offer disrupted them. "Sure. I'll come with," the older woman answered, looking apologetically at her husband and daughter. "Williamses, I'll see you again later. Domens, you can expect a dinner invite soon. Saya, let's go."Judy stood up, leaving Max with another kiss. [Judy - Turbolift]At last reaching the turbolift, she turned to Saya. "Any thoughts?" she asked. [Spudriq Potato Bar --> Computer Core, Deck 21 - MCPO Ozu Saya] Bye, Mama, Evekh said, flapping his hand unconcernedly in her direction. He was, unfortunately, far too used to her leaving. Bye, love, Saya answered quietly, leaning down to press a kiss to his curls. Once they were in the 'lift and Judy had spoken, Saya sighed. Is this Harvey thing from the announcement the same as the transporting plant? She shrugged. Before you came in, Anna said something about the weirdness, and I said I'd seen plenty of odd things before, but this place is very possibly one of the strangest I've ever been. One of the PADDs she carried, almost forgotten, pinged, and Saya looked down in surprise, not remembering that she'd even logged in to one of them. Oh, she commented. This is from the command center. All transporter logs for the day were deleted. Saya rolled her eyes in frustration. And this plant thing... it's from the planet and it's carnivorous and it grabbed someone. No wonder this is such a big deal.As soon as the turbolift doors opened, Saya stepped out at nearly a trot to get to the computer core as quickly as possible.

"I imagine we could try to restore the logs, which might be a tedious process, but we could also be a little sneakier about it," she thought aloud. "On some drives, transporter logs are stored on different places based on where the order was issued from - which transporter room, or Ops. So, if we're lucky, we can check where they beamed the plant from, then based on that, check the sign-in logs to see who did it, and then ask them where Harvey is... and hang them in Times Square."Judy winked at the last segment, signifying it as a joke, but not entirely - she did think they could make an example of this person, if the Captain was amenable to the idea.

[ Costa - Turbolift -> Deck 14] "Singles? For enlisteds? Nah, mate, not unless ya made Chief since we last... met?" Costa's cheeky grin was back as she followed him out of the 'lift and towards his quarters. When Brody located his room and pulled his luggage inside, she hung back in the doorway, leaning against the frame as she studied the space. It was small enough, even by station standards, but having grown up on freighters with zero personal space, Costa saw no issue with it. "Or talk in they sleep, or sing in the shower, or chew wit they mouth open..." She tacked on when he repeated the earlier hope of having a roommate who didn't snore. Her eyes followed Brody's movements toward the small eating area, and then shook her head at his offer. Synthehol wasn't something she ever had an interest in; she didn't see the point in drinking without the effects. "Prefer the real thing," she told him, then she straightened up into a stance. "Need ta go see a client anyway." She started backing out of the room, but before she left his eye-line, she paused to pat her chest, where his communications chit had been safely stored, grinned, and declared, "Got ya number."Brody's apartment - NPC Brody Cooper
Costa painted a bad picture of what living with another person could be like. "You can't scare me. I used to share a place with nine others once." He studied the replicator just to learn that Costa didn't want replicated drinks. "You could have a late..." He suggested because booze clearly wasn't the only drink they could have, although that seemed to be Costas idea.
Unfortunately she was about to leave already. So he quickly followed her to the door. "Already on the move again....leaving me behind to fend for myself...what if that crazy plants shows up?"

[Computer Core, Deck 21 - MCPO Ozu Saya] Interesting idea, Saya said as she stopped outside the doors that led to the computer core. She punched in her credentials, hoping the system was set up to accept her. Thankfully, the doors swooshed open after a moment. It may depend on how thorough the culprit was. It is possible that since this is happening today, that the server backups haven't been deleted yet. They're harder to get to without coming down here.Saya strode to one of the computer terminals and logged in, pulling up the transporter logs. Just confirming the report that the records are gone, she muttered. I don’t think I trust any information coming from the incumbents on the station. She tossed Judy a wry look. Let’s check the transporter rooms first, she said, finding the records even as she spoke. They showed no recent activity or even anyone entering in the last couple of hours. It looks like the transport commands must have come from somewhere else, likely the command center; but that will make them more difficult to track down. It’s manned all day, with the potential for multiple people to be using the same terminals within a single shift.
Let’s find the server backups for the command center and work from there, Saya suggested.

Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Computer Core, Deck 21]Judy pulled up a stool, schlepping it over to the console so she could sit and not strain herself. Then, from her handbag, she retrieved her dedicated "computer" glasses (only one lens segment per eye, for arm's length viewing), as Saya worked. "We can be a little quicker than that," she suggested to Saya. "We can filter down to those with the clearance to tamper with the logs, and then send someone to apprehend them."Judy retrieved a PADD, and held it awkwardly at arm's length as she operated and read it. "Of the folks assigned to Ops on this shift, who had clearance, the only intersection point is Junior Lieutenant Robyn Banks?" she read, almost questioning the name. She then upped the font on the PADD, and confirmed. =A= "Computer, locate Lieutenant Robyn Banks," =A= she ordered. =A= "Robyn Banks is in the Command Center." =A= Judy tsk-tsked, and then made her next move. =A= "Commander Eastman to security. Please apprehend Lieutenant Junior Grade Robyn Banks, at the Command Center, and bring her to my office," =A= she instructed. "Saya, let's see if we can't get anything more out of here before we interrogate our perp," she added to her old friend and colleague, though already some part of her mind was going to the tense conversation to come.

[Command Center] =/\=Aye, Crewman Sosa en route.=/\= Rio had been wandering the station, on the lookout for the man-eating plant when the call had come in, and frankly, she was glad for something a little more specific to do. As she made her way to the command center, she pulled up the info on the subject, quickly going over the available record, and studying her picture...it wouldn't do to arrest the wrong person! Once at the Command Center, she spotted the young woman and crossed over to her. "Lieutenant Junior Grade Banks? I've been asked to take you to the Commander's office." She didn't know why the young woman was in trouble, and she hoped there wasn't going to be any trouble.
