|Command Center | Sven Aune|Sven stepped onto the command center and saw another security officer on the scene. He nodded and stood next to her. She had this under control, but he was there for backup. "This is Baker?" he asked the young security officer. "Lets take her to the Commander's office." he said leading them [Command Center] "Harvey?" Rio asked the young woman as she moved beside her. "Is that the killer plant? You lost it?" Man, this was pretty crazy, that there was a dangerous species on the station, and now that it was running free? What sort of place was this? Then another Security person arrived, a Lieutenant, and she gave the man a nod. "Sir, this is her, and apparently that plant that is trying to eat people is 'lost'. Do you think we should put out an alert?" She wasn't sure what sort of alert that would be, and really, people would figure out pretty quickly if their fern was evil! [Command Center --> XO's Office - Lt. jg. Robyn Banks] Robyn glared sulkily at her Sosa and Aune, thinking that her prank hardly warranted an escort of two security officer, but here they were, and taking her off to meet some unknown official. Probably some stick-in-the-mud prig. It's Banks, she muttered at the mountainous security officer as they walked her out of the command center and down a short corridor to the XO's office, which contained a number of labeled crates stacked against the walls. He's not a killer plant, exactly. I mean, it's carnivorous, but most people know to steer clear. I didn't know that there were going to be new people around yet. I got flustered and missed with my transporter coordinates to get him back to Commander Parsinp's quarters and I think he ended up somewhere like hydroponics or the park where there are lots of plants to confuse the scanners.Robyn figured the more cooperative she was the better off she'd be from here on. Rio Sosa Sven Aune [Computer Core, Deck 21 - MCPO Ozu Saya] Saya chuckled. That was quicker than I expected. And that is far too much computer access for a junior lieutenant. If she's not kicked out of Starfleet for her her antics, I'll certainly be throttling back her computer permissions. In fact, this makes me wonder if we should check everyone's access, she said darkly. If you want to head up to your office, I'll finish up here. See if I can restore the logs, then help track down the plant. She rolled her eyes in exasperation. These were not issues she wanted to have to deal with immediately after arriving at their new home. Judith Eastman [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Computer Core, Deck 21 -> Turbolift]Judy sighed gently. "I think we should curtail log deletion access to Department Heads and above only, but that's an issue for tomorrow. For now, good luck with this."She switched glasses once again, then waved Saya goodbye and headed out. Upon entering the turbolift, she decided to check in with her superior. =A= "Eastman to Captain Ellis. I have our perpetrator nailed down, and I'm about to question her. I'll check in with you once that's done," =A= she reported succinctly, not having the time for more verbosity. [Command Center --> XO's Office - Lt. jg. "I'm sorry for the... disdainful state of my office, but it'll have to do," she offered by way of greeting. "Commander Judy Eastman, First Officer."She extended a hand to the unfamiliar security crewman. "Good to meet you."And then to the perp. "And you as well. Ms. Banks, I take it?"To Sven, the familiar one, she offered a, "good to see you, young man."Then, she led them all into her office, sitting down on a shipping crate labeled "ergonomic supports". "The first order of business is where the plant is," she informed the group, oblivious to their earlier comments. "We need to get it somewhere secure, and promptly."She then turned to look squarely at Ms. Banks, her bifocals softening the effect of her glare. "Next, young lady, you should think about what you've done. Consider the consequences of it. Your actions have pet owners worrying for their cats and dogs, mothers - including myself - and fathers, for their children, not to mention people worrying for their own welfare. What's more, someone could get seriously injured. Think about that, young lady. As cliché as it may sound, think of the children on this station," she lectured, leaning into the emotional aspect of it. After easing off for a moment, she just gave the perpetrator a little look, as if to say "so?"

"Rio Sosa," she introduced herself, "it's an honor." It was always good to know who the mucky-mucks were, and to have a good impression with them. That done, she just stood quietly, hoping to not be chased out too soon, she was dying of curiosity about this whole affair, and wanted to hear the details. Felicity Ellis Sven Aune Judith Eastman

The commander acted like she was going to make nice, but then she started lecturing as if Robyn was a child. She folded her arms and narrowed her eyes further. It was a prank. I was careful to put Harvey somewhere out of direct foot traffic. And he was in the casino, so it was unlikely for there to be children or pets there. And I told them... She released one arm to jerk her thumb at Sosa and Aune. ...that pretty much everyone on the station knows about Harvey and knows to stay clear of him. It's not my fault some idiot decided to walk right up to him. As soon as I saw a human life sign that close, I tried to get Harvey away. She almost couldn't help her slightly belligerent tone. This whole thing was supposed to be a stupid prank, and now she was probably going to be demoted or kicked out of the service. She'd be lucky if she wasn't court-martialed.

Felicity Ellis Sven Aune Judith Eastman [First officer's Office - Deck 2] Rio still wasn't sure how a carnivorous plant was allowed on the station, nor how people were supposed to avoid it, provided they even knew to avoid it. Not her problem, though, she reckoned, she was just a grunt, and not privy to the extremes of command. She smiled and accepted the Commander's hand when it was offered. Felicity Ellis Sven Aune Judith Eastman [Cmdr. [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - First Officer's Office, Deck 2]Judy exited the turbolift, striding rapidly down the passageway to the two security personnel holding one other officer, presumably their perp.

Mable buzzed with excitement at the prospect of there being kittens. "Oh, most likely! Maybe one of the science shuttles that have been ferrying back and forth. Like most pregnant mammals, they look for safe secluded places to give birth. Oh, how adorable!" she cooed. Bob blurped. "Anyone one else on the station?" he turned on her heel and her face screwed up into an ugly frown. "Already? We've been working together for, like what? 5 minutes and you already want to ditch me! I should have known."She turned her back on him. "Nobody wants to work with. No one wants to be my friend. All I have are these animals. They are they only ones that really care about me." She looked up trying to hold back a tear. "If you don't want to work with me, just tell me. Don't lead me on."
[Ens. Isaiah Quinn - Xenobiology Lab, Front Ear Station] Ensign Quinn quickly found himself on the defensive as Ensign Forthright rounded on him. She made several comments about him not wanting work with her, along with anyone else for that matter. If she was this emotional, he could certainly see the appeal. Although, she had taken his question completely out of context. He held up his hands to try to calm her down so that he could get a word in. "Ensign Forthright," he began, hoping that referring to her professionally would assist in calming her down. "I never said anything about not working with you. I was just trying to ascertain whether someone else would have been responsible for bringing the animal aboard the station." A long sigh left his lips as he shook his head. "Now, can or can we not, prepare lodgings for the rest of the animals and attempt to transport them?" He waited a moment before he added, "Or, do I need to find someone else to assist me?"Tag: Sven Aune | Xenobiology Lab | Ens. Mable Forthright |She huffed. "Fine. I see how this is. You will end up finding someone else to assist you anyway. No one cares about me. No one wants to work with me. I'll get the small animal traps ready. I don't see a reason why they can't be transported too."He was holding back tears. She was cut deep. Alone. Isolated in a station full of people that would rather think she was transparent. Or so she thought of herself. Isaiah Quinn

[NPC - Sir Dugris "Doug" Zaman - Blue Beta]Doug shrugged, still holding PooDoo in his hands. "I don't know how it's moving, but if it is indeed moving, we're no safer in one place than another. I can't imagine it's grown legs and learned to run," he answered. "In any case, PooDoo will protect us. She looks sweet, but she's fierce."Doug allowed PooDoo to climb onto his shoulder, and she did, enjoying the tall, commanding position from which to monitor the place. "You just have to stay away from any plant I tell you to, and you'll be fine. I know these species pretty well, and so does she." [ Leanna- Blue Beta Bar & Grill] Even though Doug wasn't certain about how this plant was moving, Lea did understand enough thanks to previous experience, about how it wasn't always guaranteed that you would be safe, by remaining in one spot. Although the image of a plant running towards you did cause a slight shudder to go through her spine, before Doug then reassured them that PooDoo would protect them. So she decided that maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to go with him after all, making a mental note to follow his advice as she didn't want to end up in Sickbay or have to tell Fells that she had put herself in danger. " Okay lets go and I'll remember all of that" Lea replied as she used the bar top to get off the stool, without stumbling.

"Good," he said. "I'll confirm the coordinates and notify the transporter room to stand by." He moved towards a computer terminal and his fingers began to move across the panel as he compiled all the data. It was at this moment, that his conscience began to get the better of him. He had an affinity for many disciplines, but psychology was hardly one of them. How, exactly did one go about suggesting to someone else to sit down with a counselor? "Listen, Mabel," he said, wondering if his words would fall on deaf ears, "word of advice: get out of this lab." He was certain that his words could easily lead to another one of her emotional tiffs. "Just... hear me out. You should put together a proposal for Lt. T'Shrek, the ranking science officer. You need larger accommodations, especially if you're going to be studying fauna in this region. I'm confident that if you make a sound proposal for the need of different facilities, resources and even a team, it'll be reviewed and heavily considered." He tapped a few more keys on the panel before him. "Just a suggestion.""All right," he stated, looking up from his panel. "Coordinates set. Are the pens prepared before I send the coordinates to the transporter room?"

When the giant security officer answered Eastman's question, Robyn gestured expansively toward him, as if to say, 'there's your answer,' but then she added, I got flustered when the new captain suddenly showed up and screwed up the coordinates a couple times. These two showed up before I could figure out where Harvey ended up. Best guess is his signature is being masked by other plants. She folded her arms again and shrugged. In answer to Rio's question, she said, I don't know a lot about plants, but Harvey's pretty unique-looking. He came from Kerelia and he this huge stalk with sort of flowers at the top. Um, blue mostly, with some pink. The flowers have tendrils which are what reaches out to grab prey. And he's in a grey pot, I think.
I mean, the safest thing to do would be to transport him back to Commander Parsinp's quarters, but getting a visual on his location would be helpful.

A little more laughter and less pain. I'm not averse to a few laughs, I pulled some marvelous pranks in the past half-century, but I prefer them funnier than they are dangerous."Judy's repertoire was nothing to scoff at - she'd planted alarm clocks suspended in jello in a superior's office once - but there were red lines. [ Felicity Ellis - Briefing Room, Deck 3] Felicity felt some relief when their Chief Engineer responded immediately, and moved to action. Having her own people involved in this weird little mystery gave her some measure of comfort; after all, the Front Ear's present crew hadn't exactly filled her with confidence. Speaking of confidence, Thomas Jett seemed full of it when he referred to her as the Watson to his Holmes. "With infinitely less patience," she snorted, knowing full well the pair of them would likely always struggle with power dynamics. She watched, closely enough, while he began his investigations, listening as he explained the mystery of the Icarus. She did not for one second believe that his interest in the missing vessel was financial; a science ship of that size wouldn't have been carrying anything of value. That the former officer was looking for another medal, or possibly a way back into the Fleet was more likely, but even then Felicity had her doubts. As the Computer worked, Felicity backed off to return her First Officer's communication. =/\= "First good news of the day." Probably the last, considering how fantastically well things seemed to be going. "Thank you, Commander. Ellis out." =/\= The issue would hopefully be dealt with without any further need of input from her, and she could catch up with her senior officers later to discuss some much needed staff restructuring. Jett caught her attention again, drawing her gaze to a rather eye-catching image of a rather eye-catching man. She stepped back toward the table, standing next to Jett as she peered at the roguish-looking man. Her head tilted to the side a little. "Computer, run image against Federation database, cross-reference Fleet and criminal records, historical and current."The Computer pinged in response, and began the mammoth task that would likely only take a matter of seconds. "They'd lie if the truth was worth something to an enemy," she mused aloud about the organisation she'd served so completely for the last decade. "Or maybe they didn't know." Her eye caught the corner of an image, hovering in the background, previously ignored while Tall, Dark and Handsome had taken center stage. "Who is he talking to here?" With a few swipes of her hand, she centered the capture of the man speaking to the ship's Captain, and a dark-haired woman. "Computer, identify."Captain Magnus Benchmark, Lieutenant Commander Anna Jett. The room descended into dead silence for a moment, and then Felicity turned to pierce Thomas Jett with a stare. "Treasure hunting, huh?"
[Briefing Room – Deck 3] Jett chuckled at her comment that she had less patience than Dr. Watson. Tom knew that himself and Captain Ellis would make a rocky team, to say the least. He considered her to be competent but hard-headed as well. They would probably end up killing each other before they would finish their fist case. He was relieved that Felicity got some good news. It seems like the first day for her was a trainwreck. But it appeared that things might be looking up. Tom felt it was not his place to comment much about the crew. In his mind, he was soo close to getting an answer or a clue to help him in his quest. He knew that the ship and all onboard is probably lost. As the Computer identified the individuals, Jett looked down. Felicity might not know the crew but he did. He had studied Captain Benchmark and his style. The man was a scientist and he was careful in his approach. He also knew Anna, that moved with evidence. Unlike himself, that he trusted in his instincts, Anna follows the scientific process. Jett wondered why did they seek the man. They must have their reason. Someone like him would follow his instincts but not them. As Felicity commented about his statement about Treasure hunting, Jett could not help but look at her. She caught him in his lie that he was there for Treasure hunting. It would take a matter of second for her to piece that she was his wife. Tom knew that it would not be hard for her to mark his motivation. “I didn't say what treasure.”. Jett replied. He did not lie to her. Her body or finding out what happened would mean the world a lot for himself and their loved one. The people they left behind. Every Starfleet officer knows that risk is part of the game. He avoided at first eye contact and then placed his hand under his chin. It was easy to observe that he was deep in thought about her statement. Looking at the screen Tom, then responded “I don’t know if they are lying or not. In fact, we don’t have enough information. But the fact that they classified all the files of the Icarus and we have a mystery man. I don’t know why but my instincts tell me they are all connected but I don’t know how” Jett then looked at Felicity and wanted to add. “Before, you wonder the Icarus files are classified above Starfleet Command Codes. I already tried. . Tom added with sincerity. Tom then approached the monitor and touched the man. “One thing is for certain…79. Was here, means someone the area might know how he is. 79…I guess that what we will call him until we have a better idea who he is” . He then turned and look at Felicity “It seems like you got your dream princess, a gorgeous guy like me is saying around the area” . Jett commented when he heard a message. As Jett heard the Admiral, he remembered that he got soo caught up on the Icarus that he forgot about Admiral Ellis. It appeared that since he was sentenced to Prison she has not changed one bit. Tom looked at Felicity and said “hmmm I wonder if the Admiral knows more about the Icarus then us. You can always arrest me and bring me to her…I’m sure the Admiral might appreciate that.. Jett offered in the back of his mind he was already working a possible plan. Tag Felicity Ellis [ Felicity Ellis - Briefing Room, Deck 3] Felicity's stare remained on Jett as her mind worked through the new information. Taking into account her age, last name and the known records of Tom's family, process of elimination suggested that this Anna Jett might be his wife. That he was looking for her, or 'treasure hunting', as he implied, told her that something had happened to her. Something on the Icarus, all those years ago. Her gut twisted. She'd lost plenty in her life, but she'd known they were lost; gone. He wouldn't have that. A flicker of something crossed her features, something softer, a little sad. "Classified above Command?" She asked then, her expression returning to normal as she thought it over. "Curiouser and curiouser." It would seem that Jett was right, and that there was something strangely off about this story. But then, he went and declared that it was her dream for a handsome guy like him to stick around. "Oh. Joy." She deadpanned, before adding, "Front Ear, lock up your daughters."=/\= "Admiral Ellis to Captain Ellis. Would you care to explain to me why I am standing on your station, alone, unwelcomed and decidedly insulted, Captain?" =/\= Aw, crap. Felicity stiffened as her mother's unimpressed voice filled the room, distracting them from the dashing mystery man paused on the console screen before them. Felicity's brows raised as Jett began thinking out loud again. "I'd wager she does know something, but I'd also wager she wouldn't tell us." And certainly not for free. She was a little taken aback by Jett's suggestion, and she voiced it. "Just ten minutes ago you couldn't get out of here and away from my mother fast enough. Now you want me to offer you as tribute?"She crossed her arms against her chest, her eyes narrowing at him. "I wouldn't do that to my worst enemy."Then sucked in a breath and answered the dragon. =/\= "My apologies, Admiral, I have been unexpectedly detained. I'm on my way, I'll explain everything once I get there." =/\= Felicity felt it unlikely that the Admiral would believe any of her excuses, but she'd been so caught up in Jett's Icarus mystery that she'd completely forgotten to fabricate one.

Tag Judith Eastman Matthew Harmon [NPC - Sir Dugris "Doug" Zaman - Blue Beta -> Park]Doug motioned onwards, leading the group to the elevator and on to the park. Upon entering the park, Doug saw a group of 4 uniformed personnel there, and discreetly guided his group the other way. "I may or may not have gotten in trouble with the old staff over PooDoo throwing up in the Command Center, twice," he shared sheepishly, as PooDoo leapt to the ground and walked alongside him. "That's probably part of the reason I got pushed into retirement."

Tag Thea Baker [ Leanna - Blue Beta -> Park] Following behind Doug and PooDoo was certainly interesting for the Betazoid, who despite the usual aches and pains, managed to keep up with their pace, whilst taking notice of their surroundings as they moved. Even though there was the possibility of them coming face to face with some kind of dangerous plant, it didn't deter Lea from wanting to continue the journey and once they reached the park, she was definitely impressed by it. Thinking that she would definitely bring Ari here, but obviously when there wasn't something on the loose. Intrigued by Doug's admission as he guided them away from the those in Starfleet uniform and given what she had seen of PooDoo so far, could kind of understand why, if she didn't feel a little sorry for him at the same time. " If it was, then its Starfleet's loss, Doug, although I wonder if they're here because of this dangerous plant that's on the loose?".

[Breding Room Deck 3] Jett finished and looked at Felicity. Her response when he said he was staying gave him a slight smile. He would explain to her when he had the time that he already used his Command Access to get as much information of the Icarus years ago and he had been piecing clues together for years. However, it would not take long for her to figure out that it was his wife and logic dictates that he would have used his command authority to see as many files as possible. As he thought of his wife's disappearance, his face for a second showed weakness. But as soon as he figured he was showing weakness, he made an effort to hardened his face. He learned from Prison that sometimes weakness gets you hurt and people would want to take advantage of you. Tom knew that Felicity was not dumb and she could quickly put the pieces of the puzzle together. Tom tried to offer himself as a tribute to Felicity. He worked under the Command on her mother and some could consider her as a harsh woman. As she appeared to disapprove by them taking time to get into the Icarus mystery it seems that this mystery won’t be solved in a day. As she implied that her mother might not tell them much about the Icarus. Jett nodded as he agreed with her assessment. The Admiral was not known to give classified information to anyone. Including someone who feel out of favor like himself. [darkorange] “Agreed” [/color]. Tom responded. As he also knew Admiral Ellis well. He never asked her but he always assumed that she never forgot the fact that he broke formation in a critical moment. He listened and for a second, he wanted to object. He wanted to protect Felicity from the Admiral wrath and he knew whatever trouble she was in. It would pale in comparison to his very presence. “How do you know, that my entire plan is to charm the Admiral with a new dance routine?” . Jett asked Felicity with a smile. He then walked away and said “All right, we’ll do it your way. We will wait and see the right time to ask the Admiral, but if that fails….we will do the song and dance routine. For now, we should keep an eye out for Mr. 79” Tom said with a smile. “Good Day Captain….also Felicity, good luck” . Tom said as he waited for a second and departed the room. Exit Tag Felicity Ellis

He pulled out his tricorder and began to scan. The device blipped and whirrled as he walked along the paths until he got a ping. Investigating further, he had to push back some large ferns. There between two trees was Harvey in his pot. It was an odd looking plant. Then again, most plants were kinda strange looking. Sven narrowed the scan resolution and aimed the tricorder at Harvey. It was a positive match. "Ma'am, I think I've located Harvey. We should get it back to commander Parsnip's quarters so she can decide what to do with it."
