[ Pieter - Delirium, Lower Promenade] After months of planning, negotiations and calling in favours, especially when it came to his shifts at Blue Beta and having a supportive Boss. Tonight would mark the opening of Delirium and it's Argellian owner Pieter, couldn't wait to welcome those he had invited for this momentous and already rewarding occasion. For the sometime Chef and Barman, this was his moment of finally recognising the dream of owning and running his own establishment and naturally there was excitement mixed with nerves about how it would go. Although if it wasn't for Leanna, his friends at the bar and being able to secure this location, it might of taken him a lot longer to achieve. Not that he had a reason to look on it negatively and instead could enjoy the fruits of his labour, as he looked around and grinned to himself. Everything was in place from the music, the food, the over abundance of alcohol including the signature Delirium cocktail, specially created for this evening and beyond. Then as he moved towards the entrance to greet his guests, Pieter spoke words of encouragement with his team who could of been chosen in the same thread as the Blue Beta staff, easy to notice too, thanks to the various shades of silver clothing that they wore to make them stand out and be approachable. Pep talk over, Pieter stood proud alongside two of his staff as they prepared to hand out free drinks. ************************ [ Leanna - Delirium, Lower Promenade] Leanna couldn't remember the last time that she had been at a club so when she received the invitation to the opening night of Delirium, the Betazoid hadn't hesitated in accepting. Not only would she be supporting Pieter in his new business but was also guaranteed a damn good night with lots of drinking, eating and dancing and with her starting to embrace her new single status, couldn't wait to indulge. So she was eager to get going, see her friends and deal with the hangover in the morning, until she had to pick the children up from her parents. Yes she sometimes still felt guilty about how much they looked after them but they were keen for her to embrace her new freedom and return to who she was, especially following her personal ritual in the holodeck to say goodbye. Retail therapy had also helped with that thanks to Jeffy and as a result she was now sporting a new outfit just for tonight. Now all she had to do was get to the club and begin her night.

[Charlie Fox - Delirium, Promenade, Front Ear Station]Charlie was already in situ, trying to get a proper feel for Delirium before it was overrun by enthusiastic revelers. She was dressed up for the affair, or at least as dressed up as she'd get for a club, wearing a black dress with embroidered bodice with a skirt that fell to about mid-thigh. She'd compromised by wearing a pair of flat leather biker boots, which in her opinion, were both comfortable and stylish. It was marked improvement on her usual messy jeans and leather jacket look that she haunted the Spotty Alibi in. The club scene wasn't her thing, but the opening of Front Ear's first nightclub was newsworthy. As was the very large, very hunky, long-haired beast of a man who was opening it. He was a story all unto himself. She had to admit, she didn't think it would be difficult to find a reason to stay. The décor was on-point, and Olsen was already capturing clean 360° shots of the space. The staff were all very easy on the eye, and didn't mind at all posing for her hovering holorecorder, or complying with her endless requests for them to pour drinks and smolder at the camera. Pieter had made quite a success of the previously derelict space. Before he came along the area had been frequented mostly by inebriated Twilight casino losers who fancied a bit of alleyway strange but didn't have the bank balance for a visit to the Boom-Boom Room. Delirium was quite the step up. "So Pieter, what's the message here. What would you like your future patrons to know about your Delirium?" She asked over the music playing, sidling up to the group of staff preparing to pass out free cocktails. She could already see a small crowd gathering outside, keen to get in and see what all the fuss was about for themselves. "Don't worry," she added in an aside, leaning in closer, "This is the last quote I'll ask you for, you're about to get really, really busy."Not only would he be ran off his feet, but Charlie was willing to bet there'd be several visitors who would look to sweep the man off his feet, too.

[ Cwm Eliska Bremmer - Delirium, Promenade, Front Ear Station ]
Eliska Bremmer had no idea how she'd gotten the invitation to the opening night of that new nightclub, whatever that was, on the Promenade. She wasn't exactly a frequent user of those facilities, and more often than not she was there on duty for some reason. But when she had been handed the invitation, she had been in civilian clothes, and she was told she'd look right at home in that new establishment? Well, who was she to argue just yet?
And the invitation said 'dress up'. What in the world did that really mean? So, in her munificent free time, she did take a moment to look up what sort of clothes would be appropriate... and most of them were faced with a resounding 'no'. She'd worn a slinky black dress to get to that party on that holodeck train and it had been a bloody disaster as she could hardly move in that. So instead she went for something much less restrictive, and she opted for a pair of close fitting black trousers, a grey shirt, and a dark red leather jacket. Nothing overly ostentatious, and nothing that should stick out too much either way...
When she arrived, she was greeted by a man who was just about Commander Aune's size, but seemed to be somewhat more approachable, what with that big bushy beard, and something like one of the friendly barkeeps back home... except for his choice of clothing, and the fact that Delirium looked nothing like a Nova Kosicean public house!

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Delirium]The First Officer and her husband walked hand in hand towards Delirium. They really weren't the clubbing type, especially at this age, but Pieter was a friend of Max's, and that was good enough for the chef. For Judy, there was a vested interest in the development of Deck 9, but Max had stopped her from making this an official visit; at his insistence, she was here in her capacity as his spouse, and not as the XO. At the entrance, they found Lea. Having been through the tumult of a very serious relationship falling apart, in the form of her first marriage 30 years ago, Judy could definitely understand the struggle that the young woman was going through. "Looking good, Lea," Judy complimented. "How are you doing?" Max asked.

[ Pieter - Delirium] For the briefest of moments, Pieter could almost liken how he was feeling to that of being an expectant and proud Father, before deciding that's exactly how he did feel, especially upon seeing the crowd gather outside. He was also pretty sure that he spotted Lea amongst those at the entrance before the delectably sounding voice of one Charlie Fox, gained his attention which resulted in one of his trademark wolfish grins as he gave her all of his focus. Having the FNN here had certainly been one of his better ideas, plus who could resist the chance to spend some time in Ms Fox's company, so of course he had ensured that she had gotten the full VIP treatment. Although it wasn't done out of just wanting a positive review and besides he liked her attitude and how she didn't hold back. So when she asked what his message was and what he would like future patrons to know about Delirium, he considered the questions as she assured him this would be the last quote before he got busy. She wasn't wrong and handed her a cocktail as he answered her. " It certainly looks that way .. so my message is simple, to drink, dance and get completely lost in the Delirium, where your every whim is catered for".As he said this, he let his gaze linger, before greeting Eliska who had just arrived. " Eliska, welcome .. please enjoy a free cocktail" he said, then looked back at Charlie. **************** [ Leanna - Delirium] Upon seeing the crowd that had gathered, Leanna couldn't help but smile at seeing how popular opening night was going to be and knew that Pieter fully deserved this kind of success after all of his months of planning. Okay she was going to lose him as an employee but that was a small price to pay when she saw her staff move onto bigger and better things. Besides she would always support them and be their friend regardless of the career change and now she got to share that with him, by being a regular to the club. She was about to step inside when she saw Max and Judy and smiled when Judy then complimented her, before Max then asked, how she was doing. Lea knew that her staff had been concerned about her, despite her intentions to keep it from them, which of course had backfired on her. But now she could be more honest and tell them that she was doing a lot better. " Thank you Judy, you're both looking fantastic and I'm doing well, better than that actually and I'm ready to let loose at Delirium".

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Delirium]"Letting loose sounds like a good plan to me," Max endorsed. Lea had so much on her plate, such a heavy load on her shoulder, and so much drama, that she deserved to let loose; not to mention, she was still young enough for it. "Eat, dance, drink.""Just a word of warning, don't try to outdrink Max," Judy cautioned. "I learned that lesson the hard way. Learned some nice hangover cures too, if you want my notes."While far less engrossed in his ethnic roots than Judy was, Max was endowed with the stereotypical Scotsman's capacity for liquor. Even now that his beloved wife was no longer allowed to drink much on account of her blood thinners, he indulged himself at the Blue Beta when she was working late, or while bonding with his adult children. "I have it on good authority that Pieter's liquor is top-notch," the chef noted, not disputing the comment on his liquor capacity.

[Ens. Phoebe Volante - Dilirium] Phoebe wasn't sure how or why she had recieved the invitation to the new nightclub, she was still new on the station and didn't know anyone yet. Or perhaps that was the reason? Someone was trying to get the newbies to mix with the currents officers informally. Not entirely a bad idea, but Phoebe had never actually been to a nightclub before and had no idea what to really expect. Only that she was to 'dress up'. She had managed to find a simple black dress that covered slightly less of her legs than she was entirely comfortable with, unfortunately the onlother nice dress she had was a little tight on her and need adjusting. The low heeled matching shoes would let her walk home later without having to suffer if she was out for a long time. Phoebe awkwardly waddled in with the crowd, though she could easily see over the top of most of them. She spotted Commander Eastman talking with someone and holding hands with a well dressed man. Perhaps that was her partner? Phoebe flashed a smile as wide as it was awkward in her direction, just in case she noticed before heading into the main structure. She smiled at the staff who handed her the free cocktail and then seeing that she didn't really know anyone, found a nice comfy seat at a table. The woman kept her head ona swivel looking for anyone she recognised and could latch onto, but to no avail just yet. She had hoped one of the other new ensigns would be there. There was still time though, the night was still young. Judith Eastman - have a smile!

[Charlie Fox - Delirium]Charlie took the cocktail and held it aloft as she listened to Pieter's words, head tilted to the side a little. "You've quite the clever tongue," she complimented, only a slight hint of a teasing grin at the loaded words. She gave Eliska a nod in greeting as the woman approached, recognising her from the nightmare in the holodeck. "It's a good message, short, sweet, appealing - I can definitely use it." She took a sip of the house cocktail, which was, quite frankly, as interesting as the proprietor himself. She raised her fist, then spun it in a circle. She'd noticed Leanna Mazal enter, along with the Commander herself, and the gentleman Charlie knew to be her partner, and wanted Olsen recording them. "Cross-generational application." Pieter had done his homework, and she was impressed. The little spherical holorecorder began circling the entryway, catching the smiling, happy faces as they stepped inside and received their drinks. A young woman arrived alone and wandered off to a table by herself. Charlie's gaze was drawn to the picture she presented; which was pretty striking. Dance music, flashing strobes, powerful colour palette, beautiful people and free drink, and there this girl was, an island alone in the midst of it all. With the flick of her wrist, Charlie brought Olsen back to her, and redirected it in Miss Lonelyhearts' direction. "I'll be back to check in later, Pieter. Right now I'm going to go and chat with that tall drink of water over there."[Ens. [ Leanna - Delirium] The endorsement that she then received from Max and the advice to eat, drink and dance wouldn't be ignored by the Betazoid as that's exactly what she intended to do. Although did appreciate the support from both him and Judy as this whole relationship debacle and everything associated with it, had shown Leanna just who her friends were, even if she had initially wanted to keep them away. That was until she realised that she didn't have to be a burden on them and refused to let her demons and doubts get the better of her. So when Judy then offered a word of warning, Leanna grinned, knowing exactly how Max could handle his alcohol, which she sometimes admired him for and would definitely consult them if she needed a hangover cure. " That's definitely my mantra for tonight and yes Jack learnt that lesson to so warning noted and if I need a hangover cure, I know who to come to".At the mention of Pieter's liquor being top notch, Lea didn't disagree with the comment as Jeffy and a few other contacts had been the one to supply it and was happy that Pieter had established a contract with them like she had. " Oh yes, I know his suppliers" she said in a conspiritorial whisper. " Speaking of liquor, let's get inside so we can find seats" she added as she noted the arrival of one of the newest Security Ensigns. *************************** [ Pieter - Delirium] How easy would it be to whisk Charlie away to a private booth so they could continue their conversation but alas that would have to wait. So for now he enjoyed her compliment and the teasing grin that followed, before she continued and showed her approval of the message he had shared with the journalist. However before he could answer and mention just what other uses it had, Charlie drew his attention to the arrival of Lea and the Eastman-Williams and grinned at her comment about the older couple. Then as Olsen got to work and Charlie's focus moved to the young woman who had just entered and made a beeline for the corner. Pieter grinned again, liking her taste as he replied. " Enjoy and yes I will definitely see you later".For a moment he watched her leave with Olsen before shaking his head slightly to clear the impure thoughts, before going to welcome Lea and the others. " Welcome, Lea, Judy & Max, please help yourselves to a free cocktail" He said as he gave Leanna a brief bear hug.

[ Ens. Ari Kiax - Delirium, Lower Promenade, Front Ear Station] It was only the second day since Ari’s arrival on the station and aside from a casual check in with station staff it would still be a few days until he was ordered to officially report for return to limited service. His first instincts were to sit in his quarters for some privacy before meeting whichever Doctor and Superior Officer would be deciding upon his return to service. However that was the old Ari and the new one didn’t quite know what he preferred. Frankly sitting in a quiet room alone would be nightmarish as he was forced to quieten the ever increasing worries, fears and jumbled up memories that had been forced upon him by the Joining. So instead he’d asked around for something to do tonight and had discovered that a new club was opening on the Promenade. Attending would probably be no bad thing as it would not only help distract him but also he might get a better idea of the Station’s residents and perhaps meet a few of his new colleagues in a more casual setting. Besides getting drunk was always a nice way to forget one’s worries. So it wasn’t long after the club’s opening that Ari strode in with a casual smile on his lips, a well practiced deception of being at ease while his stomach twisted and rebelled in anxiety at the huge number of people around him. Great. Of all the things the joining was doing to him it couldn’t harden him against his social anxiety? Glancing around Ari suddenly realised a rather large flaw in his plan to meet his Starfleet colleagues “off the clock” as it were. He had no idea who anyone was. Wonderful. All he needed was to make an ass of himself in front of a Commander without realising it. He also came to the sudden realisation that he was rather underdressed wearing jeans, leather jacket and rather utilitarian black boots. Oh well, that wasn’t a big concern, it wasn’t like he was out to impress anyone with his taste in clothing. Besides his romantic interest towards others had been something else thrown into confusion by Kiax and he wasn’t sure how long it would take for that to level out. Shrugged he decided it was a bit too late to back out now and he walked over to the bar to grab a drink, taking the first thing the bartender offered, some sort of cocktail. Finding a less busy spot the man would lean against the wall and sip at his drink as he ran his eyes over the crowd wondering if he was going to do anything but drink alone tonight.

[Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) & Max Williams - Delirium]Judy and Max knew to anticipate the attention inherent in her status as the First Officer. To Ensign Volante, as she passed by, Judy gave a smile and a wave. To Fox's holorecorder, they didn't actively pose for a shot (that behavior was reserved for the presence of their grandchildren), but nor did they attempt to obstruct one. "Yes, let's sit down. The place looks liable to get packed," Judy agreed, and the couple followed Lea towards Pieter. "Our pleasure to be here," Max answered to Pieter as he took a cocktail for himself. "I'll be needing a glass of water, if it's not too much of a hassle," Judy asked with her usual poise. Then, she glanced over to her husband, who looked just slightly shaken. "And I think Max needs some water too.""That was punchy," he said, slightly taken aback but altogether impressed, as he held the glass to Judy's lips for just a tiny sampling. "I could go for another.""Eat something small, first. Pace yourself," Judy cautioned her man. "It takes a lot to get that reaction from him," she added to Pieter and Lea.

What can you tell me about the folks I should keep an eye on?" He nervous smile had twisted slightly into a half smirk. [Charlie Fox - Delirium]The corners of Charlie's eyes crinkled with genuine amusement when the other woman referred easily to how she tended to stand out. She followed suit with her own cocktail, somewhat mirroring Phoebe Volante's movements, and took a sip or two as she listened to the fairly detailed response to her fairly vague question. That she hadn't much experience in space was a surprise, but that she'd grown up on Earth was less so. "It has its moments," Charlie assured when Phoebe made her observations about the crime rates, "A few strange incidents of hostage taking, a couple of murders in a malfunctioning holodeck, a man-eating plant... But day to day? Pretty quiet."More's the pity. Of late she had found herself covering more and more "human interest" pieces and while it had plumped up her wallet, it also left her with a severe case of itchy feet. She drank again, enjoying the strength of whatever liquor the talented Pieter had mixed together to create this heaven in a glass. She raised a brow over the rim and looked at Phoebe with renewed interest when she asked a follow up question of her own. Without delay, Charlie placed her glass down on the table and leaned in a little closer toward the newbie, seemingly ready to divulge. "Well, Phoebe Volante, my answer will depend entirely on why you might want to keep your eye on folks, and whether or not you have a specific type."She grinned, suddenly having fun and wondering if Pieter might not be the only thing of interest in the nightclub after all. "Oh, unless you mean in a strictly professional capacity, of course."

[ Cwm Eliska Bremmer - Delirium, Promenade, Front Ear Station ]
[Too much to quote to get back on track!]
How Pieter had known her name, Eliska had no idea. She'd just been handed an invitation card by one of his staff, a shapely Deltan who was currently slinging cocktails behind the bar, a week past. However, there she was, greeted by the big man who owned the place. What was his name again? Dieter? Oh, Pieter, right. She knew that, had to know that as a matter of professional knowledge! "Why thank you," she answered as she moved past him. And, the idea of free drinks did appeal to her.
As such, she made her way to the bar, and perused the shelves, and stopped dead. "Is that actual Krupnik, she inquired, and receiving an affirmative, she very quickly found herself with a glass of the honeyed, herbaceous liquor in her hand before she turned to look at the other patrons. There was Leanna, of course. She was hardly surprised the proprietor of the Blue Beta was here despite the fact that this was a new competitor. The journalist, Fox, who was as resourceful as anyone she'd come across. And there was one of her colleagues, Ms. Volante whom she knew only by sight...
And Commander Eastman. Really? This hardly seemed like her scene! What in the world was she doing here?
Part of Eliska at this point just wanted to curl up and disappear. Not that she disliked the older woman, because she didn't have any strong opinions about her... but to be drinking in the same room as a Commander? That just didn't quite feel right...[/font]

[ Evi and George Hugo - Delirium] Evi gripped George's arm with innocent excitement as they approached the entrance to the new nightclub on the promenade. Her curls were a fresh purple riot about her head, and her dark green babydoll dress swished around her thighs, stopping a few inches above her knees. Chunky heels added about four inches to her height, but did little to bring her closer to matching her husband's. George was 6'6" and built rather like a tank. He wore solid black from shirt to boots except for his concession of allowing Evi to attach a small green pin to his lapel that matched her dress. It was replicated based off of an abstract painting she'd done, and he loved it, though he'd never admit it to anyone but her. He so did not want to go to a nightclub. Those nights were long behind him, but Evi was excited to try new things, and he had a really hard time saying no to just about anything she suggested, from the silly to the adorable and everything in between. As they stopped at the entrance, Evi peered around people to get a look inside before looking up at George with a huge grin. I wish I brought a sketchbook. This would be an amazing place to draw the people.George chuckled and shifted from letting Evi hold his arm to draping his around her shoulders.
