[ Leanna - Delirium] The hug that she received from Pieter had certainly added to Leanna's confidence and the Betazoid had appreciated such a warm welcome as Pieter's hugs always did the trick, even if you didn't necessarily need one. There was a silent thanks as he let go as Max took one of the forementioned cocktails and Leanna wasn't far behind him as she was also handed one. Looking around the club was heaving already and she couldn't of wished for a better opening night for her friend, as she noticed Charlie with Olsen who had captured images of their entrance, as well as other newcomers to the station. Having new people to talk to was always a bonus as Judy asked for a glass of water, before Max sampled the cocktail which clearly had a punch judging by his reaction and Judy's gentle caution to her husband. It was nice to see her concern as she then commented about his reaction. " Pacing ourselves is a good idea, but if it's that punchy then I'm all for it, can't remember the last time I had a decent drink".Not wanting to waste any time, Lea then took a long sip, enjoying the fruity flavour that was quickly followed by a sharp kick, before it mellowed out. " Mmm such a delicious punch".******************** [ Pieter - Delirium] Seeing Leanna and having his hug appreciated had the right effect on the gentle giant as if it wasn't for Lea, he might never of done this. However that thought was quickly replaced by a knowing grin as Max reacted to the drink, before his wife asked for a glass of water. " It's no hassle at all and if you need more, I'll have a pitcher brought to your table and if you do want a small bite, we have a hot and cold buffet to showcase our new menu so please help yourselves".When Lea also reacted to the first sip, Pieter grinned again and gave a quick response in his usual playful manner. " Oh yes .. it definitely has a punch on purpose, but there's more where that came from".As more people entered, Pieter acknowledged them and his staff didn't hesitate to intervene as one of them approached Evi and George. " Welcome to Delirium, would both of you like a cocktail?".********************* [ Nix - Delirium] After serving the rather attractive dark haired Bajoran, Nix soon found herself the focus of two Ferengi who clearly didn't like the fact that the female staff and patrons were clothed. However despite the urge to tell them straight that they didn't have to stay if they didn't like it, she just smiled and filled their drink requests. That's until she spotted one of them taking the silver belt as the dark haired Bajoran moved off into the crowd and Nix knew that she couldn't let them get away with it and neither would Pieter. So she grabbed hold of the culprit's lobes and ignored his whimpers as she spoke to him firmly. " Unless you want me to hurt you further, I suggest you give the lady her belt back as we don't tolerate thieves in this establishment and I won't hesitate to ban you both".To prove her point Nix squeezed a little harder until the Ferengi relented and handed over the belt. Then she let go and tried to get Bira's attention discreetly as the Ferengi muttered about Feemale's and left with his companion.

He had to pull Evi to an abrupt stop to keep her from being barreled over by an enthusiastic dancer, but the couple eventually made their way across to the XO and her husband. Max, Judy, Evi greeted, then offered a polite nod to the other man, whom she could now identify as Trill. George simply offered a silent nod to all three.

[Ens. Phoebe Volante - Dilirium] [Charlie Fox - Delirium]"You're welcome to try," Charlie said, and managed to keep a lid on the amused laugh that threatened to burst loose. "But there are many to watch on the Station, and you have only two eyes. Nice as they are." Phoebe opened her mouth to reply but caught herself as she wasn't entirely sure what she wanted to actually say. Not for another few drinks yet anyway. Instead she smiled and continued to sip from her drink as Charlie began to point out a few individuals of interest, almost choking at the sudden compliment of her eyes. "Okay, see that short human bloke at the bar, the one eyeing up the brunette in the sexy blue? His name is Harcourt. The man is 90% deviant, 10% poet. Has a thing for feet. Now, I'm not one to judge, Phoebe Volante, to each their own, but Harcourt has been forcibly removed from the Day Spa on several occasions for slipping into the treatment rooms. His poems are quite decent, though."She took another sip, and hummed distractedly before landing on the next lucky player. "Ah. Over there on the sofa, sandwiched on each side by two chicks who look like they'd rather be anywhere else, is Slilick, proprietor of What Lies Beneath, the "lingerie" shop." She raised one hand and curled her fingers into air quotes before continuing, "Also known locally as the Boom-Boom Room. For... reasons."Charlie was keen to move on from that one. She had quite a bit of work tied up in it, so she wasn't about to go sending a green Ensign on the trail. "The ferengi having a temper tantrum at the entrance is Brack the Legendary, as he often refers to himself. Owns the Twilight Hotel & Casino. Dreadfully jealous of Pieter, and, well, everyone." Phoebe lowered her drink as her eyes followed and targetted each of the people the journalist indicated. "So we have one with boundry issues? Not unheard of and kind of expected in pretty much every station. A ferengi with a casino, I imagine there are a lot of patrols and complaints around that place. Probably more now if he is jealous of Pieter and now that this place is up and running and by the looks of this crowd profitable." She paused for a moment and finished off her drink, " Slilick? I think I've heard that name thrown around before. Some sort of operation?" She shrugged slightly, "Only rumours, nothing for me to do anything with." The woman straightened up in her seat and smiled lightly, "Well, Ms Fox, that was quite a bit of information you gave me there, I suppose it's only fair to return the favour. While I expect you have looked into all of the new recruits backgrounds, is there anything I can help you with?" [Charlie Fox - Delirium]"Complaints coming out of Twilight are steady, though the real dive bar is a place called The Spotty Alibi. Owned by a trill. Complete with sticky floor, terrible lighting and questionable clientele. Also, happens to be my local." Charlie grinned, as though joking. Truth was, she spent a good portion of her time there, meeting with people or spying on them. She nodded when Phoebe asked about Slilick and correctly referred to what he had going on as an "operation". She wasn't surprised that the newcomer had heard the rumours so quickly, the place was kind of infamous, but the offer to return the favour was unexpected. "Let's go one better," she said quickly before polishing off the rest of her cocktail in hot pursuit of her newfound drinking buddy. She placed the glass on the table and licked her lips before continuing. "Off the record, won't leave this table - first impressions of your colleagues. Observations, insider knowledge, old-school people watching."Charlie did love to people watch. In fact, she was constantly doing it. From the twinge of empathy she felt for the nearby trill, who had been set upon by the Commander and her partner, to the husband himself who was raising his glass to Eastman's lips and prompting her to drink, like she was some sort of invalid in need of fulltime care, to Pieter, the man of the hour, who appeared so in tune with his patrons' needs that he'd collapse with exhaustion within a few hours if he wasn't mindful. She waved back at Evi as she and George entered the club, and wondered if it had been a difficult sell for Evi to get him there. There was a very different story behind each observation, and that was why Charlie believed that variety truly was the spice of life.

[ Leanna - Delirium] The music was infectious and Leanna continued to bop along to the beat as her lips made short work of the second potentially potent, yet scrummy cocktail. In fact the Betazoid was having such a good time that she almost missed the wave from Evi, until she managed to wave back with her free hand and smiled towards the photographer and her husband. Lea had gotten to know Evi briefly and had to admit that it was good to see her at the club. If time allowed she would definitely go over to say hello as the couple joined Max, Judy and the Trill who she had seen them talking to. Not that she wasn't going to deny how handsome he looked and yet something held her back, which wasn't difficult to work out as she wasn't exactly lucky in the romance department and still had a way to go in order to get back to her flirty best. Okay a few more cocktails might help but for now Lea was content enough to stay where she was. That was until a certain song came on and she grinned, before casting a suspicious look towards Pieter who feigned innocence and held up his drink. Shaking her head, Leanna put her drink down and slipped out of the booth, before heading for the dance floor, showing no inhibitions as she began to dance. Mission

Her tone clearly sarcastic in nature before returning to normal, "Well if that is the case perhaps I should visit it sometime, get to know you and yours better. Maybe find a decent sparring partner." She looked a little concerned for a moment as she realised she didn't have a sparring partner anymore and she'd have to find a new one, but the concern passed as quickly as it came. Phoebe pursed her lips as she considered the question, "Commander Eastman seems to be quite friendly when being informal. Aune has a rather intimidating presence about him, though that may be because he looks like he's win in a firefight with a Galaxy Class. Otherwise I haven't spoken to him much outside of formalities." She paused as she thought about her interactions with others so far, "Honestly, I haven't gotten out much. My longest conversation on this station is this one." She let out a sound that was a cross between an awkward laugh and a sigh and tapped her glass, "Shall we get some more?" Charlie Fox

[ Cwm Layne Bira - Delirium ] [...] The familiar voice drew her focus away from the bartender, her face looking a bit like the cat who drank the cream as she mentally switched gears. She had intended on seeking Eliska out and was glad that she had taken the initiative to approach on her own. Part of her wondered if she had caught the exchange and if she was in store for a ribbing. Giving the woman a bit of a lopsided grin, she shrugged with her left shoulder a bit and said, ”Maybe?”. If Eliska counted serendipity then yes, she had been given an invitation. It was going to be a night to enjoy, that much she knew. Subconsciously however she was filing away every bit of information she could about this station, and in particular The Delirium. So far their own security measures seemed more than adequate to keep their customers safe. At most she could say that the bartender wasn’t in league with Ferengi to fleece their customers and split the profits. Trying to get a gauge on how long the woman had been ‘enjoying herself’ tonight she just came out and asked, ”I just got here” while gesturing toward Eliska’s drink, ”How much catching up do I have to do? You been here long?”Despite her best intentions, her head turned fleetingly toward the other side of the room to catch a glimpse of Ari who appeared to be speaking with people seated at a table; she couldn’t see who. For a moment her features softened before she drew her attention back to her crewmate with a laugh. ”I’ll warn you from the start, I won’t be able to keep up.” [ Cwm Eliska Bremmer - Delirium, Promenade, Front Ear Station ]
"Well, one of the bartenders gave me one last week. Apparently, they wanted to be sure... pretty people would be here tonight," Eliska replied with a grin before taking another sip from her drink. Knowing these guys could, and would, serve something like krupnik within this club alone would turn into a reason for the woman to return at a later time, even if the decor and ambiance were not exactly to her liking. Perhaps she could buy a few bottles of the good stuff from them at a good price, if she could get in on their regular orders? That was definitely worth looking into all right. When asked just how much catching up to do Layne would have to do, Eliska laughed. "I just got here myself, so this is still my first. As for keeping up with each other? I wasn't aware we were in a drinking contest. Are we?" As she finished speaking, she finished her small glass, and was starting to ponder another when her commbadge chirped. =A= "Bremmer, it's PO Hardy. I know it's your day off, but we got a problem. Nicholson broke a leg falling down a Jefferies Tube, and I'm one short for the shift. Can you come in?"=A= "Oh you've got to be kidding," she groaned before tapping her commbadge. She was only a small drink in, still not intoxicated by legal or effective standards. So that meant she'd have to get in. And, Hardy tended to be good to people who did him a solid, especially on short notice. "Bremmer here. Yeah, PO, I can come in. Just give me half an hour." Setting her glass down, she looked to her colleague, and shrugged. "Sorry, Layne, we'll have to make that a raincheck."And, on that note, she headed out, for she had just volunteered to cover off a shift.

[ Cwm Layne Bira - Delirium, Promenade ] Crewman Bremmer’s opening remarks about pretty people caused Bira to laugh in good humor. She liked the woman’s attitude and found she was not only easy to get along with but looked to be able to take off the uniform and have some fun. When she asked if they were going to be in a drinking contest Bira shrugged her shoulder and pulled a slight grin. ”Oh I don’t consider it to be a competition but merely a matter of politeness”, she responded with a bit of her own dry humor. Unfortunately it looked like the two would not get to share that drink, just yet, as the woman’s comm badge was calling her back to duty due to the injury of Nicholson. It couldn’t be helped and she was quick to let the woman know. ”Don’t worry about it. I hope Nicholson recovers quickly.”Turning back toward Ari, she wove her way through the crowded dance floor not quite able to keep her feet from moving to the rhythm of the music. Feeling it was best to skirt the outer edges of the dance floor, lest she be coerced to linger for a turn about the floor, she worried that Ari might think she had intentionally ditched him. Fortunately as he came into view once more she was pleased to see him in the company of several other people. Drawing near she recognized the First Officer and grinned to see her sipping some concoction from a glass the gentleman at her side held. Her eyes darted to Ari who seemed to be having a pleasant time and then the other pair who may or may not also be a couple. She hadn’t realized he was inviting her over to have drinks with this couple and the XO and a man she hoped was the woman’s husband. She knew Commander Eastman was married, she had done at least that much research into the command staff of the Mac, but she was well aware how assumptions could land you in a lot of trouble. A quick look at the table and she realized there were not enough chairs for her to take a seat. She shrugged thinking it an easy enough fix and grabbed a chair from a nearby table as she moved forward to greet everyone at the table. Her eyes went to Judith and the Gentleman and she murmured, ”Good evening Commander” and with a quick bob of her head at Max she included him briefly, ”Sir.” She picked up the chair but set her eyes on the other couple and smiled giving them a nod of hello too, ”Evening” before finally addressing Ari. ”Sorry that took so long, Ari. I was bringing a friend over to introduce to you but she got called back on duty suddenly”, she explained and then moved with the chair to his end of the table fully intending on taking up an open spot to his left. ”I see you have a nice little gathering here. I will spare you the burden of introductions though.”Planting her chair next to Ari’s, she shifted into her seat and looked about the table as she introduced herself, ”My name is Layne Bira. I’ve only arrived recently as a Crewman on the Mac.” She didn’t specify she was with security for that might put a damper on the festivities and she was much more interested in meeting the rest of Ari’s companions tonight than talking about herself too much. She turned her gaze upon Evi and asked with a smile, ”And you are?” Ari Kiax , Judith Eastman , and Ozu Saya

She turned her gaze upon Evi and asked with a smile, ”And you are?” Ari Kiax , Judith Eastman , and Ozu Saya [ Evi and George Hugo - Delirium] George and Evi sat, and the waiter brought their drinks while the others were introducing themselves. George took the strong kick of the cocktail in stride, but Evi blinked and shook her head, muttering, Wow! before offering a friendly smile to the Trill and then the Bajoran that joined them. Ari, and...Bira? Evi guessed with a lift of one slightly slanted eyebrow. I'm Evi Hugo and this is my husband George. He's one of the station engineers. We came a few weeks after the Mac and command crew arrived.
I don't get to take him places very often, so I dragged him out tonight. Evi turned a teasing grin on her husband, patting his thigh. He returned the look with a glare, but there was a hint of smile around his lips.

[ Ens. Ari Kiax - Delirium] Smiling at Max he nodded slightly, finding comfort in the man’s subdued tones and sipping at his drink again. “I will have to visit your establishment when time permits.” he replied kindly. “I do find I have a rather lot of learning around the Station, it’s quite unlike any vessel I’ve been aboard.”
Noticing a pair of newcomers the Trill looked up at the unfamiliar pair, a woman and man, who had just approached the table. After Commander Eastman introduced him to the pair he smiled at George and Evi. “A pleasure to meet you both.” he greeted warmly while sliding his chair around the table slightly to make sure there was plenty of room for the couple to sit with one another. Glancing out of the corner of his eye he noticed the Commander’s Husband holding her drink up to her lips so she could take a sip. The man smiled slightly to himself, it was somewhat relaxing to see such affection from the second most senior officer in the region. He wondered if that set a tone for the rest of the Command Staff? Maybe life aboard a station was naturally less… rigid than it had been upon the Hecla or Scott. "Well, it's not my fault he cooks better than anyone else around," she countered, with a smile on her face. "Actually, it's exactly your fault," he answered, enjoying the playful moment even in the public eye, before remembering to introduce himself properly. "I'm Max, and you already know my ravishing wife, Judy," Max said, putting an affectionate, slightly possessive hand around Judy's waist, clearly proud of the woman he'd married. "I take it you two know each other?" Judy asked Ari and Bira, as she reached a hand into Max's jacket pocket, and pulled out a glasses case. He nodded, confirming that the emerald-green case was hers, not his. Not needing to carry her stuff in a purse was just one more benefit of being married.

[ Leanna - Delirium] Up until now, Leanna hadn't realised just how much she had missed dancing properly, instead of her usual bop around the living room with both children. Not that she didn't enjoy those moments as Ariana and even Aven loved music and it also served as a reminder about how she needed to get back into singing and performing in the bar with Divine Temptation. It hadn't been easy the last few months but now the Betazoid was ready to reclaim more of who she was as she continued getting lost in the music. It was really easy to do so and she had never felt more alive than she did in that moment. However even she needed a break and as the next song came to an end, Lea decided that she wanted another drink. However went for a different cocktail as opposed to the signature Delirium ones, although this new drink was definitely a lot more colourful and sparkly, quite apt for it's name which was an Argellian Hurricane. Now she had a choice of either going back to the booth or seeking out conversation and that's when Leanna remembered seeing Charlie as she passed, with one of the newer officers. So that's who she approached, hoping that she wouldn't be to imposing by joining them. " Hey Charlie, would it be okay to join you both?".

[Charlie Fox - Delirium]"Complaints coming out of Twilight are steady, though the real dive bar is a place called The Spotty Alibi. Observations, insider knowledge, old-school people watching." [Ens. Phoebe Volante - Delirium] "A pretty lady like you? In a dive bar? I am shocked Ms Fox. Truly I am." Her tone clearly sarcastic in nature before returning to normal, "Well if that is the case perhaps I should visit it sometime, get to know you and yours better. My longest conversation on this station is this one." She let out a sound that was a cross between an awkward laugh and a sigh and tapped her glass, "Shall we get some more?"[ Leanna - Delirium] Up until now, Leanna hadn't realised just how much she had missed dancing properly, instead of her usual bop around the living room with both children. She gave all of her attention as the latest recruit began to offer her observations on a few of the others. Her head tilted to one side a little as she watched with curiosity. "You'll get to know the players quick enough, Phoebe, I've no doubt about that." When she suggested they grab another drink, naturally Charlie agreed immediately. "What a great idea."It was then that Leanna Mazal approached them. Charlie was technically supposed to be working, so she had no objection to more of Delirium's revelers approaching; it would mean she wouldn't have to go to them. "Of course, more the merrier. This is Phoebe Volante, she's new to Sec/Tac," she introduced, her tone fairly upbeat, probably helped along by the deliciously strong signature cocktail, "Phoebe, this is Leanna Mazal. Leanna here owns the Blue Beta Bar & Grill, which is hands down the best food on the Station. Do yourself a favour and pay it a visit at the end of your next shift."Charlie herself had just recently given the place a five-star review. During her visit she'd ordered six separate dishes for "research" and the staff hadn't even blinked. "We were just about to grab another drink, Lea," Charlie explained once the two had greeted each other, "Any recommendations?" She raised her hand to summon one of the ridiculously good-looking wait staff.

Have you been enjoying yourself?” Sipping the rest of the cocktail he smiled pleasantly at the taste and once again silently concluded teh joining had given him some sort of higher tolerance to alcohol, especially considering the reactions of the others in the club he’d seen drinking the same concoction. When the woman, Evi, introduced herself and her husband the Trill’s eyes widened slightly with interest. “A station engineer? I am rather hoping, once I return to service, I might get the Chief Engineer’s permission to tour the Engineer Decking and view the reactors. Loran, the first Kiax host, had been a great Engineer centuries ago and he seemed to have a rather strong influence on the subsequent hosts. Although none had followed in his footsteps they had all, to varying degrees, inherited his fascination with technology. At the Commander’s question Ari nodded. “Yes we served together on the USS Hecla. The previous Kiax, D’yer Kiax, was the Chief Tactical Officer upon the vessel as well. He and Crewman Layne where good friends and, well, sometimes friendships go beyond a single lifetime.” he explained honestly. His primary counselor on Trill had suggested he be more open about his new joined existence as a way of better accepting the change. This was as good a time as any. Although he didn’t delve too far into the details of the past relationship, he respected Layne’s privacy too much for that. [ Cwm Layne Bira - Delirium, Promenade ] The Bajoran nodded her head and said to Ari, ”Good. I really didn’t expect this place to be so full.” Though thinking about it now she had not been very logical about that. Opening night? Any place worth mentioning would be packed on opening night. Bira nodded and smiled at Evi to indicate that yes this was how she was called. Some people didn’t pick up on the naming convention of Bajorans and called her by her family name; some people had done so as a term of endearment. At any rate, she always felt an odd sense of relief when she didn’t have to explain. In fact, she often didn’t bother and just left people their assumptions. ”It’s nice to meet you both”, she said, glancing at each in turn before focusing on Evi once again. ”An engineer? Oh I imagine he puts in way too many hours on the job. I am impressed by how expansive the station is; it must be demanding.” It was no wonder the woman was enjoying her time out with her busy husband. Her eyes went to Max as he spoke about his own time conflicts with the First Officer, her smile taking in the warmth between the chef and his wife as they bantered back and forth. It was something she could imagine and yet had no personal experience to draw upon. She and Abol’s life together had ended before they ever got to spend any part of it in freedom. She and D'yer had not lasted long enough to evolve into anything similar. When Judith remarked that Ari and she knew one another, she nodded her head and remained silent, quite content to let him take the lead on that bit of information. She turned to him when he was done, with a slight smile on her face very appreciative of his discretion. Dividing her attention among the two couples round the table she added as an afterthought to his remarks, ”I guess the Prophets decided we still had some time serving together in our futures.” Her hand set the glass of Bajoran ale she had brought with her upon the table and rose to rub lightly at her right lobe. Usually she didn’t wear her ear ring, she never knew what D’jarra her family had been but that of her husband were of the Ih’valla, the artists. Although she felt it was good enough, seeing as she did enjoy sculpting, she always felt like a fraud when wearing it or invoking the Prophets. The faith felt contrived to her, something she was supposed to believe, rather than what rose from within. Ari Kiax , Judith Eastman , Ozu Saya

[Charlie Fox - Delirium]"You'll have no shortage of volunteers," Charlie said in return to Phoebe's wish for a sparring partner. She let out a little giggle as another woman strode up to the pair, a friend of Charlie's perhaps? After Charlie's introduction, Phoebe reached out her hand to greet Leanna, "A food place? Well, I'm sure I will be visiting regularly once I get my training and sparring going again. I do love a nice, big meal after good exercise."A rather attractive waiter appeared by the trio and patiently awaited their order. Phoebe's mind went completely blank for a few moments, unable to string a single thought together until finally something decided to fill the void that was her head, "Three Samarian Sunsets, please." The staff member repeated the order as confirmation and heading off to the bar. The woman awkwardly smiled and shrugged at the other two, "Sorry, all that I could think of. He was too handsome."
