[Ens. Phoebe Volante - Into the woods - Team Fauna] Phoebe shook her head as Charlie raced forwards, followed by the others, "Sure, ignore the security officer. It's not like she's had years of training or anything." She muttered as she took off after them, keeping an eye on the shrubbery in case of another attack. When she reached the group she dropped down to one knee and gestured to Isaiah to get down too. She pointed her phaser in the general direction of the source of the stone. Her knee came down and rested on Charlie's reaching wrist to stop it. Phoebe grabbed the womans ear and pinched it, "If you ignore me again you'll be going back to camp on someones shoulders. Now shut up or we'll all end up like Olsen." She released the ear and went back looking for movement in the leaves. She tapped her commbadge, =/\= "Chief, I don't think we're alone out here. We've found what seems to be a vine trap, and when we sent the holorecorder to scout something threw a stone at it. Our tricorders can't see it, I suggest all teams proceed with extreme caution. Volante out." =/\= Phoebe leaned over slightly towards Silvertail, "What about you? Your senses are better than ours, can you detect anything?" Her eyes never leaving the brush, ready to fire the instant something moved. [Lt. Isaiah Quinn - Woods, LZ2, Kerelia] The next few moments were a blurry succession of events. Charlie was just within reach, when it seemed that Silvertail appeared from overhead, effectively tackling Charlie to the ground. The downed pair gave Isaiah barely any time to react. His attempt to leap over the pair failed as he felt his legs collide with the pair, making his leap more of a lateral dive. Having played Parisses squares for so long, he instinctively curled to protect himself, colliding with the ground and rolling with the momentum as he traveled barely a meter beyond the pair of them. An experienced fall or not, it certainly hurt like hell, as it felt as if his shoulder had managed to take the brunt of the fall. He grit his teeth, pushing the pain aside, while silently cursing how he hated this planet. It certainly hadn't improved much beyond the Tritters. He turned to look back to see Silvertail still atop Charile as she futilely reached for Olsen only to have Ensign Volante also kneel onto Charlie's wrist. He could understand how frustrating the situation may be for Volante, who was charged with ensuring the team's safety, but there were limits. He waited for the Ensign's comm to the team had ended before addressing Volante directly. "That's enough, Ensign! Do you job respectfully, or don't do it at all."Isaiah was close enough to use his leg to kick the component closer and towards Charlie's grasp. However, as he moved to lift one of his arm, he found that he couldn't. He recognized that he had dislocated his shoulder, and let out a stifled grunt of pain. There was another component nearby. Using the arm his phaser was in... the one he could still move, Isaiah managed to scoop the component into the nook of his arm and drag it closer to his body. "Withdraw slowly," Isaiah said softly. "We'll grab what we can, but Ms. Fox it's no good to have Olsen and no one to bring him home to." Another grunt left his lips as his eyes scouted their perimeter frantically, meanwhile, scooching back slowly and carefully. "Back," he continued to order the rest of the team. [ SilverTail to-Ennien - Team Fauna] I'm very sorry, SilverTail said to Charlie, his ears flattening back against his head as he moved from above her and crouched in the brush. His hairless tail flipped forward and the Sivaoan grasped it his his paws in distress. Perhaps it hadn't been the best reaction. It was how he would have stopped a young Sivaoan from doing the same thing, but he could see that he'd actually injured the human. And the human scientist also appeared to be in distress. =/\= Acknowledged. Report back to camp immediately and use extreme caution, =/\= Saya's voice responded to Phoebe. SilverTail shook his head at Phoebe. There's nothing distinct. Just the same plants and animals we've all been smelling since we arrived. He took another deep breath across his tongue. Whoever it is, maybe they use some type of scent-masker. I don't know what could do it, though. Glancing up at the trap, he added, I don't like to leave that in place, but I don't think it's safe to try to remove it right now. From behind a tree, one of the watchers observed as the group piled into each other, then started moving away. His only objective had been to prevent them from getting any scans of the trap. While they were made to look like vines, they were actually a cleverly disguised synthetic that was quite strong. Now, though, their orders were to force these people away from the forest, by any means. There was a slight whine, a pop of electricity, and SilverTail's head jerked up as suddenly a large branch started crashing down directly over them. Move! he shouted, but waited to make sure the others realized the danger before getting out of the way himself. [Charlie Fox - Under a dogpile]No sooner had Charlie felt the cruel pinch of her ear, so too did she feel all respect for Phoebe Volante evaporate. Charlie might feel the thorough humiliation of the situation or the blow to her ego later, but it all still paled in comparison to how she viewed the destruction of the little drone. The largest part of his battered, spherical self was just barely in reach, why was she not allowed reach out to touch it? "I hate my job," she muttered, ignoring the hostile Sec/Tac officer's order to shut up. In all honesty, if she did not have the capability to record, there was absolutely no point in her being there. Then the weight left her wrist and SilverTail removed himself from her space, and suddenly she was allowed to move, and Quinn was helping her. Her hand grabbed the component he'd kicked in her direction and she raised her gaze up toward the scientist. Her body followed as she pushed herself up off the ground, grimacing with the effort and wondering how many shades of black or blue she might be later. As Isaiah picked up another piece of the holorecorder, she followed suit and plucked part of its protective shell from a mound of moss. When the order came to move, she didn't bother asking if she was allowed to run, she just took off with the others, flinging herself out of the huge branch's path.

[ T'Laara - Team Flora] T’Laara quickly took the “useful” out of Left Ear’s bag as the Sivaoan had directed. Taking one end of the large cloth, she helped spread it out on the ground beneath the tree. From what Leanna said it might be too late, but they all seemed determined to do whatever they could to save the dragon. And T'Laara agreed that it was the right thing to do. So she waited, watching as Left Ear brought the creature down, so they could hurry back to camp and take it with them. Suddenly she breathed in sharply, caught off guard as something unexpectedly burst out of the woods and attacked Left Ear. While trying to get a good look at the attacker, she could see that the Sivaoan was struggling. T’Laara was not much of a fighter, but she did have Vulcan strength on her side. Instinctively she picked up a heavy stick held it up ready to try to defend herself, while looking around to make sure there were no more of them. “Stop. Who are you and what do you want?”
Tag Ozu Saya Kaya Som Leanna Mazal [Team Dragon - Woods, Kerelia LZ2] Seeing Kaya and Left Ear free the creature from the trap, it gave Leanna hope that they had some chance of saving it from dying. So as the Sivaoan called down about dropping her bag so they could retrieve a useful in order to carry the injured dragon. Lea appreciated their efforts to help it and understood the need to get back to camp as soon as possible once Left Ear had done some triage on the creature. Whilst T'Laara retrieved the useful as instructed, Lea reassured both dragons of their intentions as they waited for Left Ear. Although the moment the Healer reached the ground and set the dragon down, everything seemed to go wrong as Left Ear was then attacked. It all happened so quickly that it took a moment for the Betazoid to catch up and that's when she realised who their attacker must be. No one was going to hurt her friends and whoever this was, well he wasn't going anywhere. Following T'Laara, Lea took out the knife from where she had it strapped to her thigh, a present from an old Klingon lover and got ready to defend the group and the dragons. " I'd answer her if I was you, as there'll be no more pain and suffering".Depending on what happened next, Lea was also prepared to call for help from the others or at the very least they'd be returning to camp with the dragon and one of the people who she believed was responsible for trapping them.

[NPC - Commodore Calvin Perry - Team Geology]Calvin moved along, not needing to be told twice to avoid the rocks. He trusted that the Petty Officer's instincts were correct, and even if they weren't, this was no time to insist on hierarchy. Not dying was much more important. "Let's try to reach the camp quickly. We can try to access the runabout's sensors from there and figure this out," he said, a directive both deliberate and vague. [Charlie Fox - Under a dogpile][...] "I hate my job," she muttered, ignoring the hostile Sec/Tac officer's order to shut up. [Chief Ozu Saya - Team Geology] [...] The shooting stopped after a couple of minutes, and the rocks stopped falling except for some smaller pieces that had been shaken loose. As they neared the camp, however, Saya slowed and gave Perry a concerned glance. Commodore, with that weapon that was being fired, we might not want to go all the way back to camp. The rock face we used for shelter would be vulnerable to the same type of attack. If we can find a defensible position with out placing ourselves in danger of a rock slide... She trailed off as she peered around. They were in open ground with a few large boulders in the vicinity, but nothing that could really protect them if the unseen enemy chose to pursue. Perhaps we should just call for the runabout to retrieve us.
Petty Officer, keep watch for the rest of our teams and cover their exit from the forest. Ensign Kiax, can you determine if our protective wall at the camp would suffer the same breakage if that weapon were shot at it?The watcher nodded in satisfaction as the Starfleet people moved off. That would do. Now to get the hopper back to retrieve them. This trip was going to be a loss. They'd only taken five of the creatures, and now that Starfleet would be made aware that something was going on, they wouldn't be able to safely return, even with all of their cloaking and camouflage technology. What a waste. [Lt. Isaiah Quinn - In the Woods, LZ-2, Kerelia] As the orders came in over the comm, it was more than apparent what the next course of action was. They needed to withdraw, and they needed to do so now. With himself being injured and a threat looming about, he certainly wasn't about to protest. He was actually pleased that Ms. Fox hadn't protested any further, but was disturbed by her emotional outburst. Clearly, some damage control was necessary, and he planned to speak to her when they weren't in imminent danger. Perhaps she could see this was an isolated incident and not indicative of Starfleet's typical practices. Was this already strike two in her eyes, or three? Of course, those concerns were quelled at the sounds of additional weapons fire, and the falling of a large branch overhead. It was more than enough incentive for the rest of them to flee the area. Isaiah quickly got to his feet and followed the others. It seemed that SilverTail waited to bring up the rear, ensuring that everyone was able to move. He made a mental note to thank the Sivaoan once they were safe. "Keep moving towards camp," he called ahead. Hopefully, they'd rendezvous with the other teams before reaching the camp.

[NPC - PO1 S'Riia - Team Geology, LZ-2, Kerelia] To S'Riia's satisfaction, the team had managed to elude the site without any injuries. Their equipment, however, seemed to suffer the fate of being crushed under one of the falling rocks. Something to worry about after they got to safety. S'Riia used her senses as best she could to protect the team as they made their way to a clearing. It was at that point that Chief Ozu made an observation that perhaps they shouldn't retreat completely back to their camp, essentially leading the enemy there. Considering what their weapon had been able to do to the rockface, she did have a point. Even with the runabout's weapon systems, there was no way to ensure that they wouldn't be leaving personnel even more vulnerable. It seemed to be a debate for those in authority to decide what the next move was. Ozu gave S'Riia the duties of keeping watch for the other teams, as well as securing their current position as best she could. "Aye, Chief," S'Riia responded. Her phaser was still drawn, and her eyes and ears were focused on the direction from which they had come as well as the directions the other teams had taken when they had split. She wished she had brought a phaser rifle, which would have provided just a bit more fire power in case the fight came to them, but the Caitian was content to put up a helluva fight one way or another.
Tag: Judith Eastman (Perry), Ari Kiax , Ozu Saya , [Team Geology], returning Teams Flora / Fauna [ Chief Ozu Saya - Team Geology] Saya drew her weapon, but couldn't see anything to shoot at, and the chunks of rock coming off the side of the mountain were concerning. In fact, as the team headed back toward their camp, one large stone bounced across the open space to where they'd set up the survey equipment and knocked it askew. Saya shook her head ruefully. So much for those readings. The shooting stopped after a couple of minutes, and the rocks stopped falling except for some smaller pieces that had been shaken loose. As they neared the camp, however, Saya slowed and gave Perry a concerned glance. Commodore, with that weapon that was being fired, we might not want to go all the way back to camp. [ Left Ear to-Ennien - Team Flora] Left Ear finally managed to get a back foot up and raked her attacker with her claws, sending a wash of yellow fluid down on her and, apparently, sending the invisible attacker flying. The Sivaoan flipped and tried to leap on them, but ended up scrabbling around in the dirt and fallen leaves. The attacker had decided to take the reprieve and run like hell. Left Ear caught the scent of the blood and considered following it, but shook her head. They had to get back to the others. She limped over, saying, They're gone, whoever they were. I don't recognize the scent. Her nose wrinkled as she looked down at her fur splattered with both her own blood and that of the attacker. Let's get that poor creature loaded up and head back. If two of you can carry it between you, I'll see what I can do on the move. Maybe we can get someone to follow that blood trail later. The dragon was just barely breathing, and as they began moving, the one in the trees followed from tree to tree, watching behind them.

[ T’Laara - Team Flora] T’Laara watched with apprehension as Left Ear managed to throw off the attacker, who then ran away without confronting the rest of them. Part of her wanted to chase after them, but of course the Sivaoan’s plan was more logical. “Very well, I will help carry it.”Before they left she leaned down to where a splash of the attacker’s yellow blood had dripped onto a rock, and took a small sample of it using the equipment she had brought for similar purposes. “Perhaps this will be able to tell us something about the attacker.” It might help to identify them, or at least what species they were, in case the other groups had also been unsuccessful in detecting them with scans. Straightening up, T’Laara carefully took up one end of the useful and helped carry the creature back towards the camp. She stayed alert, listening hard for any hint of pursuit as they approached the edge of the woods. Tag Ozu Saya , Leanna Mazal , Kaya Som

The only way she'd come back to this place was to exact some revenge on whatever that was who'd stoned her poor little Olsen. [NPC - PO1 S'Riia - Team Geology, LZ-2, Kerelia] S'Riia vigilantly stood sentry, waiting for any sort of coming threat to emerge. She only spared a slight glance in Chief Ozu's direction as the Vulcan-Bajoran hybrid stood alongside her, phaser in arm as well. What bothered S'Riia the most was the not knowing. Being a security officer, she was tasked with making certain this sort of thing did not happen. While every member of her immediate team were safe, she was still concerned about the others, and wanted to know who else was on this planet, and more importantly, how they had managed to move about undetected. Perhaps once the rest of the teams were safe, she'd be able to convince Commodore Perry and Chief Ozu to allow herself and a small team to investigate further. Her furry ears twitched slightly as she heard Commodore Perry call the Batfish to evacuate their team via transporter. In the distance, the sight of Charlie Fox waving towards them was yet another hint of satisfaction. It appeared that Ensign Volante had managed to keep the woman safe. S'Riia started to wave back, just as she felt the familiar sensation of being transported. Within a few seconds, she found herself aboard the Batfish, and promptly stepped away from the transporter pad. Commodore Perry was like a dream commander, actually removing himself from harm. Still, the petty officer was slightly annoyed that she hadn't personally remained until the rest of the teams had arrived. "Lieutenant Quinn's team was just approaching our position," S'Riia reported. It wasn't that she doubted anyone else had seen, but was simply interested in expediting the process of bringing the other teams into the relative safety of the runabout. Judith Eastman (Perry), Ozu Saya (Saya, Lynn(?)), Ari Kiax
[Lt. Isaiah Quinn - Team Fauna, LZ-2, Kerelia] Quinn looked over his shoulder several times, and thus far it still appeared that they hadn't been followed. His shoulder was killing him. He thought about pausing a moment to attempt to knock his shoulder back into place, but didn't want the team to stop for anything. Not until they were within the safety of the camp. He noticed the slight movement of Charlie's hand, waving and then caught sight of Commodore Perry's team, though only for a moment. [Team Dragon - Woods, Kerelia LZ2] Whoever had attacked Left Ear, clearly had no intention of listening to what herself or T'Laara had to say or maybe they hadn't been expecting them to retaliate. Whatever the reason for their sudden departure would likely remain a mystery at least for the moment as Lea was more concerned about the Sivaoan. If Left Ear had been seriously hurt then the Betazoid would of called in help but as she limped over, Lea decided to keep a close eye on her friend as she told them that she didn't recognise the scent of her attacker, before asking her and T'Laara to carry the injured creature back to camp whilst she did what she could, as well as suggesting that someone investigate the blood trail later. " Good idea and are you okay to walk?" she asked as T'Laara took a sample of the yellowish liquid in the hope that it would help them identify the mysterious attacker. " If we can identify who they are, that would definitely help us track them down or at least stop them from coming back".Placing her knife back into its holder, Lea then took the other end of the useful and helped T'Laara carry the creature back to camp, keenly aware that the Lead Dragon was following them, no doubt to make sure it's friend was okay.

[ PO2 Kaya Som | Team Flora ]It happened all in a flash and was over just as quickly. Kaya was left standing flat-footed, having had little to no time to properly react to another Kerelia surprise. But there wasn't much that was to be done - whoever had tackled Left Ear had disappeared into the woods again. As they began the walk back to Landing Zone, the sensation that they were being watched or followed was as concrete as ever. "Did anyone catch a good look at them?" she asked, meaning whatever had crashed from the woods to give Left Ear a tickle. "Were they bipedal or what?" [SilverTail to-Ennien - Team Fauna] Once all of the others were moving quickly through the trees, SilverTail followed, stripping off his useful toga and bundling it into his bag. It would mean more scratches on his delicate skin, but the grey and white would make him less of a target in the trees than the brightly-colored fabric did. Though, this enemy didn't seem to want to shoot at them. It would have been easy enough to pick them all off while they'd been piled on the ground. A couple more shots struck trees around the group, but none came close to actually hitting them. There was some noise in the trees as the team exited the forest and headed across open ground toward the geology team, just in time to see them vanish in a transporter beam. [Charlie Fox - Out of the Woods -> LZ-2]Charlie's heartbeat was thumping in her ears and her thighs were screaming with exertion, but she continued running away from the loud noises anyway. Once they broke through the clearing and caught sight of some of the others, the rock people, she thought, and gave S'Riia a half-hearted wave before bending over to catch her breath. When she straightened up though, bits of the downed Olsen still in her arms, they'd disappeared in a glistening transporter beam. "Did they just leave us here?" Charlie asked, disbelief and confusion in her breathy voice. What she really wanted to do was get away from everyone, to examine the damage to the drone, probably have a stiff drink and pump a hypo full of painkillers into her neck. Then maybe she'd go look for that really argumentative engineer she'd met on the Jupiter Star mission and see if she would be willing to throw her eyes over her wrecked equipment. "What kind of awful planet is this, anyway?" She asked, this time turning to look at Quinn. The only way she'd come back to this place was to exact some revenge on whatever that was who'd stoned her poor little Olsen. They hadn't reached the camp yet, but seemed to have transported away. It prompted Quinn to wonder if the situation was more dire than originally anticipated. The woman scrambled to her feet and began to follow the others in their retreat, the first few steps backwards to see if she noticed anything in the brush one last time before turning forward and keeping pace with the group. As she glanced back to make sure they weren't followed she noticed that rock were being thrown every now and then, but they didn't seem to be aimed at them. Were they just making sure they kept going? Looking forward again she ran face first into a branch, "Son of a-" The officers mood had turned foul, not only had she possibly lost her first space friend, but it seemed she'd made her first enemy in the form of an entire planet. The group burst through the edge of the woods into a clearing just in time to see the geology group be beamed away and Lt. Quinn asked for the same. Why couldn't we do that in the forest? That would have been so much easier. As the group came to a hault and Pheobe raised her Phasor in the general direction of the trees, who knows how many of the hostiles were just beyond, watching, waiting. She raised her hand and touched it to the back of her head and let out a little hiss of pain, before bringing it forward and looking. It had a bit of blood but not much. At worst she'll have a headache for the afternoon. She stood waiting to be engulfed in the light of the transporter to get her off this Jumanji world. [ SilverTail to-Ennien - Team Fauna] Once all of the others were moving quickly through the trees, SilverTail followed, stripping off his useful toga and bundling it into his bag. Amanda Lynn - Runabout Batfish] Lt. Lynn had been tasked with staying with the runabout, which was parked near the LZ-2 beach. She'd been able to relax, read, sun, but she had to be ready for when the survey teams up on the mountain needed her to pick them up, but she hadn't been expecting a call for an early beam out. They weren't scheduled to move for another couple of days. =/\= Um, aye, Commodore. Just give me one minute. =/\= She scrambled from the back of the runabout where she'd been eating a piece of cheesecake to the front and the controls. =/\= Activating transport now! =/\= [Charlie Fox - Out of the Woods -> LZ-2]Charlie's heartbeat was thumping in her ears and her thighs were screaming with exertion, but she continued running away from the loud noises anyway. Tag Ozu Saya , Leanna Mazal , Kaya Som [NPC - Commodore Calvin Perry - Team Geology]Calvin sighed. Yes, the rock face would be a problem. Being very much not a geologist, he had neglected that. "Yes, let's call the runabout," he decided, accepting the suggestion. There was some noise in the trees as the team exited the forest and headed across open ground toward the geology team, just in time to see them vanish in a transporter beam. Chief Ozu Saya - Team Geology] Saya stood opposite S'Riia with her own phaser and helped keep a lookout, noting that one of their teams had just emerged from the trees in the distance. This mission had turned into almost as big a disaster as the last one on Kerelia, though the enemies seemed to be of an entirely different, and non-native nature. She couldn't imagine what resources these invisible beings could be stealing from Kerelia. And how they'd managed to do so right under Starfleet's collective noses. She blew out a frustrated breath. [ Lt. jg. Amanda Lynn - Runabout Batfish] Lt. Lynn had been tasked with staying with the runabout, which was parked near the LZ-2 beach. Her scanner told her that the dragon had broken bones in two legs and both wings. There were abrasions where the trap had been digging into the flesh. The most immediate danger actually seemed to be dehydration, though. The creature must have been trapped for several days. Starfleet vessel, you are fortunate that I decided to spare your lives today. I would think twice before returning. He was 100% bluffing; he knew there was no way they'd be able to return to this planet. It had only been a matter of time. The station in orbit meant that their operation had been a major risk. Now that Starfleet would know about their presence, it was time to move on. For now.

There seems to be someone setting a sort of trap in the forest. We tried to remove it, but were attacked, though mostly indirectly.Saya glanced at the commodore with concern. We need to get that third team up as quickly as possible, she said. Working on it, ma'am. I've got them, Lt. Lynn replied. =/\= Batfish to away team, we're beaming you up! =/\= [ Left Ear to-Ennien - Out of the Woods --> Batfish] Left Ear limped beside the makeshift stretcher, hating that they couldn't move any faster. Her own injuries were slowing her, and T'Laara and Leanna couldn't move quicker without jostling the poor creature they carried between them. Her scanner told her that the dragon had broken bones in two legs and both wings. There were abrasions where the trap had been digging into the flesh. The most immediate danger actually seemed to be dehydration, though. The creature must have been trapped for several days. She reached into her bag and pulled out a hypospray, dialing in a cocktail that would help with pain, infection and would give a boost of hydration until Left Ear could get her somewhere she could set up an IV. The warning came just a moment before the transporter beam grabbed them up. ~~~~~~~~~~ [Poachers' Vessel] The mysterious invaders got transported back to their vessel, the leader noting with displeasure that one of his people was bleeding badly. He glared around at the others then ordered, Open a channel to their ship. Audio only.A couple of bleeps, and the comm officer nodded. For now. [NPC - PO1 S'Riia - Team Geology, LZ-2, Kerelia] As the away teams worked to bring all their people aboard, S'Riia began to feel a hint of relief. She certainly wouldn't accept the sensation until all their people were on board the runabout. It already seemed that members of Lieutenant Quinn's team had sustained some injuries, including the reporter Charlie Fox. Nothing seemed life-threatening, but that was far too close a call for the Caitian's liking. She then heard Chief Ozu order her to be ready on weapons. "Aye, Chief," she said as she quickly assumed the post. The Caitian slid into the chair in the cockpit and ran a quick systems check on the weapons. She also did a cursory scan, but just as Chief Ozu had indicated, there was no sign of any ships or additional life signs beyond traditional flora and fauna native to Kerelia. It simply didn't make any sense. Though, that was when the hail came in. It was a warning to them. Stating that they had been granted a mercy. That made it clear, someone was certainly out there, but who... and where. S'Riia began to rely upon her other training. Prior to joining Starfleet, she had worked as a linguist. It was a long shot, but any clue could yield information about their assailants' identities. S'Riia made certain to duplicate the audio received thus far. This was far from the ideal time, but she wanted to make her thoughts known to her commanders. "Commodore Perry, Chief Ozu. The raw audio of this transmission sans the UT may offer some sort of hint as to this person's identity. Their native tongue... a dialect," she offered. Again, the Caitian knew her priority was to be prepared to defend them at the weapons console, but even if the facts weren't revealed now, knowing an opportunity to uncover these people's identities opened up options for the command team.

[ T’Laara - Woods -> Batfish] “I did not get a very good look at them.” T’Laara replied to Kaya while Left Ear tended to the dragon. “They may have been humanoid, but I have not heard of many species with yellow blood.” Though her expertise was plants, not people. And before she could make any further guesses to the nature of the attacker, she found herself caught in a transporter beam. Then rematerialized on the crowded runabout, still holding the useful bearing the injured dragon. It was no doubt a strange sight to the rest of the people inside, which would require some explanation. Given everyone’s state of disarray and the fact that the others would likely have things to add she attempted to keep it brief. “We encountered this creature caught in a trap. Someone attacked Left Ear when she freed it. I managed to collect a sample of their blood, but that is all.” T’Laara looked towards the Commodore and the other Starfleet people in charge as she said it. She had little time to wonder what else was going on before the poachers sent a message, which she listened to with interest. Tag Kaya Som , Ozu Saya , Leanna Mazal , others on the Batfish

[NPC - Commodore Calvin Perry - USS Batfish]
All the pandemonium, all at once, was just a little much. With so many people on the runabout, Calvin couldn't handle it all at once. He'd have to rely on the more senior officers to keep order.
"Make sure we save all the recordings, try to trace the hail, and ping the station for backup," he said, vaguely in response to PO S'Riia, and then turned his attention to the hail.
=A= "This is the Starfleet vessel Batfish. Identify yourselves," =A= he demanded, commanding some gravitas.
If these beings had intended to kill them, they would've been dead by now. He was certain.
Soft tags to all.

[ PO2 Kaya Som | Batfish ]The runabout was already crowded by the team the botany team were taken aboard. Kaya found a corner near the Engineering terminal to set down the heavy pack. Around her conversation quickly answered the unasked question, 'what the hell is going on now?' There were more injuries on the other teams and most unexpectedly, they were hailed and threatened. In this corner of the quadrant, this seemed to be a traditional greeting for Starfleet. Kaya opened her pack and began dumping data that her sensors had been passively collecting down planet. The station's science team had requested it. It was meant to gather atmospheric conditions, particles in the air, wind speed, ambient sounds, thermal - all that interested the lab rats. But it was possible it had picked up something about their new 'friends'. "Chief, compiling data from my mobile pack now and sending to the main terminal. Might have picked up on something useful." As the computer worked, Kaya noted the civilian reporter Charlie Fox was aboard and in rough shape. The last time they'd interacted, Kaya was drunk and angrily chewed out a superior officer. [fn] After Action Wind-Down - 2380.08.02[/fn] Not her cleverest moment, but not her worst either. She had no regrets. "You alright?" she asked, sliding over. Ozu Saya, Charlie Fox

[Team Dragon - The Woods, Kerelia LZ2 to Batfish] As they continued onwards towards camp, Leanna wasn't only focused on the suffering of the injured dragon that they had rescued but also Left Ear as it became obvious, that her injuries were slowing her down. Yet there was a determination that fortune would favour them and that they would make it back to the relative safety of the tents and the other teams. But for now she just had to keep moving and hope that the dragon survived as Left Ear did what she could for the creature. Then came the surprise warning of imminent beam out to the Batfish and before she could even think what that meant, found herself on a very crowded runabout. Now the Betazoid understood a little more, especially as they were contacted by the very people responsible for everything they had experienced in the woods. It also became apparent that their group weren't the only ones to have something happen and she listened as information was shared by the Fleeters and T'Laara. With space at a premium and people needing medical attention, Leanna decided to try and be useful and keep out of the way as the Commodore responded to the other ship's threats and demands. " Left Ear, I can stay with the Dragon, just tell me what I need to do to help it, whilst you deal with the other injured".

[Lt. Isaiah Quinn - Team Fauna, LZ-2, Kerelia] [...] He opted not to second guess his instincts and reached up to touch his comm badge. The painful reminder of not being able to move his right shoulder caused a grunt to escape his lips as Charlie asked if they had just been left. "They may have been tracked, and didn't want to compromise the location of our camp. Best we follow suit," Isaiah replied. He used his left arm to tap his badge, activating his communicator. =/\= "Quinn to Batfish. Four to transport. Be advised... we have injured among us."=/\= Being used to this sort of injury, he was more concerned about the bumps and bruises that Charlie had sustained rather than himself. In fact, the reporters words lingered quite heavily as he waited for an acknowledgement from the Batfish. "One that doesn't like us very much," Isaiah replied rather quickly. "And frankly, the feeling is quite mutual." He didn't bother to include that he'd nearly died two out of the three times that he'd ventured to Kerelia. Truth be told, he was concerned that one day, this ball of mud may actually get lucky and finish the job. [Ens. Pheobe Volante - Fleeing the woods] Pheobe dove backwards to avoid the falling branch colliding with another gnarled brach behind her. [ Chief Ozu Saya and SilverTail to-Ennien - Runabout Batfish - Kerelia, LZ-2] [...] A moment later, one of the other teams beamed up, bloody and battered. SilverTail stepped forward from the transporter platform, scratches and cuts marring his grey and white skin. Lt. Quinn and Charlie Fox are both injured, he said. They need assistance.

"I don't think the FNN will be endorsing this planet, after all." Under other circumstances she might have found it all very amusing, but at that moment she was beginning to feel the effects of her fall, and the reality of the situation. She clenched her jaw and her ass in subconscious habit as the transporter beam engulfed her. When they rematerialised on the transport she remained perfectly still for a few moments, feeling a bit removed from the bustle of the officers who were crammed in together like sardines in a tin and trying to get a handle on the situation. Someone mentioned her name; SilverTail she realised when she finally looked up. "I'm fine," she muttered, her expression betraying her growing irritation. "Quinn's wrist is brushing his ankle at this stage." She waved in the scientist's general direction, indicating that his dislocation was more serious than a few scrapes. She found little interest in the mystery unfolding around her, which would have been a sure sign to anyone who was remotely acquainted with her that something was wrong. Charlie found a little space in a corner and lowered herself to sit, lotus pose. She had just started to lay out the pieces of her drone when a new voice interrupted her thoughts. "Better than this fellow," she said nodding at the bits of Olsen on the floor before looking up at the source of the question. "Oh, hey," she added, recognising the very engineer she'd been thinking of earlier in the jungle clearing. "Think you could have a look? Something shot a rock at him. Knocked him clear out of the air. I wasn't able to find all the parts..."
