[NPC - Ens. Mabel Henriksen - Bridge, USS Mac]
Mabel was increasingly concerned by the power struggle going on before her eyes. Technically, Starfleet rules meant Harmon - as the senior officer - was in charge, but this was dangerous. Too many cooks spoil the broth, even if one shouldn't be there. And even if, now, Quinn acknowledged Harmon's authority, it was still a dangerous situation.
There was only one way to handle this.
=A= "Henkrisen to Eastman. You should come up here." =A=

She headed up, taking the turbolift to the Bridge, when she got the message from Mabel.
=A= "I'm coming." =A=
Promptly, the turbolift reached the Bridge, the doors opened, and Judy stepped out, walking swiftly onto the Bridge.
"So, what'd I miss?" she asked, preferring that more civilian phrasing to the Starfleet-standard "report!"
[Crewman Jovireh Velal - USS Mac - Bridge]
For a moment all Jovireh could do was stare at the two men in disbelief. Were they seriously doing what it looked like they were doing? This couldn't possibly be normal behavior for senior Bridge officers. Her gaze darted over to Mabel, hoping to get some sort of understanding of the situation based on the Ensign's reaction. But before she could fully make out anything, she was given yet another order. Jovireh clenched her jaw, half expecting the other Commander to follow through with another order for her as well. But it didn't happen. To her surprise - and relief - Quinn decided to back down and moved to his station, glancing over at her with what seemed to be an apologetic expression. At least one of them was aware of their behavior...
With a small sigh, she returned her gaze back to her console, and as she moved to transport the debris to the ship she froze, silently hoping what she was seeing - or rather, not seeing - was a glitch in navigation. But before she could run another scan, Commander Quinn voiced what she was thinking. "It vanished before I could get a lock on it. I... Sir." She had been about to apologize for her delayed reaction time in carrying out the transport... But her temper flared when she thought about taking responsibility for the error, when they had been the ones acting like two targs around a female in heat. No, she wasn't going to apologize this time. And if either of them expected it from her... Well, neither of them knew her very well.
As Mabel called the Commander to the Bridge, Jovireh relaxed a little more. At least she wasn't the only one disturbed by the battle-of-will that just transpired. It wasn't long before Commander Eastman arrived, and Jovireh straightened to attention, clenching her jaw tightly and focusing her gaze directly ahead of her to prevent herself from blurting out exactly what the woman had missed. She wanted to see how the men explained themselves.
The arrival of Commander Eastman was expected, but somehow it seemed to be a surprise. It was also convenient that everyone in that moment seemed inclined to to remain tight-lipped as she essentially asked for a report of what had transpired. Isaiah had his suspicions that Commander Eastman's arrival may have been accelerated thanks to Mabel. With no one clamoring over themselves to fill in the blanks for Eastman, Isaiah proceeded to speak up.
"Recently, we've been in touch with the Soteria," Isaiah began. "Colonel Vasser agreed to allow us to interview the pilots from Owl-1, but postponed due to a situation that was pressing at the time. That matter turned out to be the apprehension of a suspect who was responsible for sabotaging Owl-1's turrets to fire on the Hera and attempted to destroy evidence." Isaiah paused as he seemed to consider his words. "Or rather... succeeded. That was what caused the trimmer moments ago. The Soteria warned us in time to avoid any significant damage from its shockwave. We scanned to confirm that whatever detonated had the same signature we found before. I failed to act quickly enough to bring that material aboard." Isaiah's eyes briefly glanced in Velal's direction, apologetically.
"Commander Harmon relieved me of command," Isaiah said, "however, by that time it was too late. The Soteria had already beamed the debris aboard their vessel. The colonel offered the pilots to be interviewed at any point, but did suggest doing so back at the station, where we would have the opportunity to interview the suspect they have in custody as well." Isaiah took a deep breath after delivering the report, attempting to keep as many of the pertinent details in place as necessary. He had claimed responsibility for missing the window they had to beam the debris aboard. Yet, one had to wonder if they even had a claim to it to begin with.

Judy walked towards the center of the bridge as Quinn explained the situation. It was very much a mixed bag.
"We'll just have to keep collaborating with the Nyberrites," she assessed, opting not to dwell on the disappointing fact that they hadn't been able to beam the debris up.
She stood, several feet away from the center chair, with a decent view of the whole bridge.
"Let's set a course for the station, Warp 9," she ordered, and then went to sit down. Mabel sat down on the chair to the left of the center chair.
"This is not how I'd hoped this day would go."

Jovireh relaxed slightly as Quinn explained the arrangement with the other ship, as well as took responsibility for not transporting the debris on board. That was a step in regaining respect, at least, but she didn't like that neither man seemed inclined to confess about the passive aggressive struggle that had occurred moments before. She kept her mouth shut though, knowing that Mabel would most likely fill in the Commander about that particular situation later.
They were on their way back to the station, and Jovireh couldn't be more relieved. While this mission had not gone the way any of them had hoped... No one died, so in her mind it had still gone better than the last mission she'd been on. One thing she knew for sure though, she would be very happy if she never had to man a tactical station again.
