[Crewman Jovireh Velal - USS Mac - Bridge]Jovireh was relieved that Commander Quinn seemed to genuinely agree with her suggestions, rather than simply humoring her. Perhaps she had better investigative skills than she'd realized. Or maybe, as a science officer, he was feeling rather out of his element and was relying on her departmental knowledge. That was a possibility she would keep to herself. She looked up at the viewscreen as the comlink established. The Colonel's obvious shift in demeanor upon seeing Quinn was interesting. Jovireh couldn't help but suspect the woman would have been far less likely to grant their request so easily had Commander Eastman been the one to ask. The conversation was brief, and her attention returned to the console as she began to make sure everything was in order before preparing the file to send to the Soteria. Eastman's message came through, not requiring a response. It was shortly followed by a far more urgent message - from the Soteria. "Brace for impact!" Jovireh called out as she swiftly raised their shields, her other hand grasping the edge of her console. Not a moment too soon, as the ship rocked slightly as the shockwave struck their shields. She ran a quick scan before reporting. "There was a detonation about 40,000 kilometers off port. Shields down to 97%... but no damage to the ship." A sigh of relief escaped her as she straightened and looked at Quinn. "The Soteria sent the warning to raise shields." Another message came through, which she read briefly before continuing. "They're offering assistance if needed and will provide us intel as soon as their initial reports come in." That was strange... it sounded like they weren't entirely certain what had just happened either, yet they somehow knew it was going to happen. She looked back up at the man in charge, waiting for further orders. [LCDR Matthew Harmon - Intelligence Office] [Bridge] He entered the bridge just as the ship rocked ever so slightly from an explosion. He was used to the shakes of combat and easily kept his footing as he walked to the centre of the bridge. Velal mentioned the Soteria offering aid and Intel. He cared little for the former but was very interested in the later. “Thank them for their offer of aid, but let them know we have things under control,” he said establishing himself as having taken command. Quinn was good at his job but too sympathetic to Vasser, and besides Harmon could claim seniority. “Tell them we eagerly anticipate their information.” Hopefully they’d actually share everything and weren’t just playing them. [NPC - Ens. Mabel Henriksen - Intelligence Office -> Bridge, USS Mac]Following him to the Bridge, she took the time to digest the idea further. Yes, it did make sense that all the traits that made Moz so disdainful also made her useful. Certainly, Mabel herself wouldn't have lasted half as long undercover. On the Bridge, she stood idle, trying to decide if to call Judy over. The LCDRs were both capable, but if they were to start fighting over authority (or if Harmon were to do something too rash), then there'd be no choice but to bring in the boss. [Lt. Commander Isaiah Quinn - Bridge, USS Mac ] The sudden rock of the vessel quickly caused Quinn's attention to turn to Velal as she reported that there was no damage, and that the warning to raise shields had come from the Soteria. He didn't have the luxury of replying first, as Commander Harmon made his way on the bridge and began to issue orders as well, declining the offer of aid, but subtly pressuring for more answers. It was a tactic that wasn't warranted, but at this juncture what he expected from Harmon. Quinn stood his ground, at the center of the bridge, shifting slightly to look in Harmon's direction, whom was approaching as well. This was always that gray area in command, when a more seasoned officer felt inclined to cease command versus the person that the (acting) CO had left in charge. The last thing that needed to happen was to allow this to descend into some juvenile power struggle. Of course, Quinn had no intention of allowing that to happen. "You heard, Mr. Harmon, Crewman. Inform Soteria that her offer for assistance is greatly appreciated, but unnecessary at this time."Quinn then began to move towards the captain's chair and then moved to sit in the vacant seat. "Prior to your arrival, Mr. Harmon, we secured an opportunity to interview with Owl-1's pilots. However, there was an issue that required the colonel's attention. I'm confident a recent explosion, preceded by a brief warning from the Alliance ship, are certainly linked." It was more rigid than he anticipated... the chair, that is. Or was it his own posture. "Crewman Velal. Scan the area where the explosion originated. If there are any significant identifiable features or debris, I want our own record of it." Quinn then glanced over towards Harmon. "You're welcome to have a seat while we wait, Mr. Harmon." He then gestures towards one of the vacant seats adjacent to the captain's chair.

NPCs - Colonel Helena Vasser & Alpha Sergeant Gorsk - Bridge, NSS Soteria ] The doors of the turbolift parted and Gorsk marched promptly on the bridge. She made a beeline to Colonel Vasser whom had gotten to her feet, prepared to issue her report. Vasser stood and gave her subordinate permission to proceed. "Colonel, MAjor Chromar has been taken to Sickbay. He sustained a broken jaw, mild concussion and extensive dental damage. Dr. Bel is treating him now, and expects him to be prepared for debriefing in a couple of hours. The major has however composed a written statement of events."The Na'kuhl woman gave Vasser a padd which head Chromar's statement. Vasser began to skim over it as Gorsk continued with the rest of her report. "A Reman male, Specialist Javik, was taken into custody. He is the one responsible for Major Chromar's injuries. He also had the major restrained to crates containing refit parts for the Owl-class fighters. He was attempting to destroy the evidence as well as Major Chromar when I arrived."Vasser looked up from the padd. "Re-fit parts?" the colonel echoed. "I take it these were our atypical turrets then?" Vasser asked. She exhaled as Gorsk nodded. "So, Chromar discovered that the original turret had been replaced after the incident because the one now mounted did not reflect the damage incurred during flight.""That is correct, Colonel," Gorsk stated. "Scans indicate the same signature that the Mac shared with us. However, whether the re-fit turrets were defective or remotely activated has yet to be determined. We are ready to proceed with interrogating Javik to determine as much." Vasser nodded and there seemed to be one additional fact to add. "This evidence also seems to absolve Avi Moz of actual sabotage. The major seemed pleased with the truth, but still... agitated."Vasser nodded. "Well, cleared of sabotage, yes, but espionage is another matter. Share this with the Mac... all of it. Also, inform them that our pilots are ready to be interviewed at their convenience. Though, ideally the remaining interviews, including time with Specialist Javik, could be conducted upon return to their station." Vasser assumed that they had to be eager to get Commodore Perry back home. Gorsk nodded and proceeded to assume her station. Sending the latest accumulated intel as well as Colonel Vasser's message regarding the pending interviews to the Mac.

The Crewman hesitated briefly, her gaze shifting between the two men. This was not a position she ever expected to be in. Thankfully, she was spared having to make her own decision who to follow, as Quinn made it clear he was maintaining command. It was fascinating to see the way his entire demeanor shifted as he did so. His ability to adapt and remain professional earned him a few more points of respect in her mind. "Yes sir," she replied simply, beginning the scan and sending the message. "Scans are showing the same traces of Tholian technology among the debris." Jovireh did not find that surprising. Before she could continue with the analysis, however... Another message came through from the Soteria. "Sir, Colonel Vasser has a suspect in custody. Owl-1's turrets had been sabotaged to fire upon the Hera. The suspect planted an incendiary device in attempts to destroy the evidence... They had to transport it off the ship." She forwarded the message to the Command console so Quinn could read it for himself. "They are suggesting the interviews take place back on the station." At least the mystery was solved - hopefully.

[LCDR Matthew Harmon - Bridge]Before Harmon could ask for a report on what had occurred while he was Avi, Quinn made the puerile decision to make some sort of childish power struggle over who was in charge. Given Harmon's seniority, and the nature of this mission combined with his expertise, it was natural and logical for him to assume command. Had they been on a scientific mission, it would be logical to defer to Quinn and his expertise. But on one based around intelligence gathering and tactics? It was a strange move from Quinn, one that the intelligence officer had not fully anticipated. Was it driven by ego? Spite? Or was he eager to try and help his former CO turned mercenary traitor? Harmon decided to let it go, who sat in the centre chair was little more than a symbol. If he continued standing and issuing orders, rather than taking Quinn's antagonistic and passive aggressive offer of the second chair, then it mattered little if Quinn sat in the centre seat. He listened as Quinn brought him up to speed on what had transpired. "Thank you Mr. Quinn," Harmon's next move would have been to order Crewman Velal to scan the debris, however Quinn beat him to it, which was fine. All that matters was that it be done. "Is any of the debris salvageable? We should get our hands on it if at all possible," he asked. However, once the Crewman forwarded intelligence from Colonel Vasser to Quinn, rather than the intelligence officer, and senior officer on the Bridge, Quinn's position suddenly became an issue. "The sooner we get access to them the better, makes it harder for them to be coached or think too hard about how to answer," Harmon stated, "But they could easily delay us getting them as long as they like even if we push for them to be conducted as soon as possible, before we arrive back at the Station. So accept their offer. We need not antagonise them for no gain," he ordered. He then turned and looked Quinn in the eyes. "Mr Quinn, return to your station. I'd like your analysis of the debris to complement Crewman Velal."

[ Commodore Calvin Perry - Sickbay, Deck 7] Calvin forced himself to look over as the woman named Judy spoke to him. Somewhere in the recesses of his mind, she did seem familiar as did the name Mac. Which was a very odd name to call a ship he thought and wondered if this was some elaborate joke. That was until he began to sift through his jumbled brain and finally spoke. " The name is familiar, I just can't put it together at the moment. But yes I remember an explosion, am I right in thinking that someone else was with me?".The more Calvin spoke, the clearer things became at least some of it which frustrated him a little. When the man who addressed himself as Dr Paawin spoke, Perry nodded and the Bajoran doctor also felt familiar before he was asked how many fingers he was holding up. " I believe that it's 3 Doctor, you also seem familiar but forgive me as my head still feels very jumbled at the moment".

I'd like your analysis of the debris to complement Crewman Velal." [Lt. Commander Isaiah Quinn - Bridge, USS Mac ] Isaiah listened as Harmon spoke. Still there was a bit of tension between the two. Quinn had been on teams before, and there was always the mentality of the alpha that was present. It could always go one of two ways. It could spark comradery among the team, or drain the very life from it. As Harmon suggested that they collect samples if it was viable, he had to agree. He would have made the same call. He even would have made the same call where it came to interviewing the pilots. The last thing that they should do would be to back Vasser in a corner on that. Besides, she had stated that it could be done at their convenience. She had only suggested that it occur back at the station. And then, the other shoe dropped. It was a rather passive aggressive move in itself to order Quinn to return to his station for an analysis to complement Velal's. Did he really expect Quinn to find something that Jovireh and the sensors had overlooked. And perhaps Quinn was just in his head too much over all of this. Harmon did have the experience, especially in matters such as these. Though, the only thing that gave Quinn pause was Harmon's prejudice where the Alliance was concerned. He'd made no attempts to conceal it, and Quinn was simply worried that it could color his responses in this entire situation. Either way, he hadn't done anything yet that suggested that was true. So, Quinn was content to accept the orders for what they were: orders. "Aye, Commander," Isaiah said as he pushed himself up from the center chair. A causal glance back at tactical, and he realized the sort of position he had almost put Jovireh in. After a brief nod, he relieved the officer that had slid into his station and began to commence with the analysis to confirm Velal's report. "Everything seems to...." That was when a sligt alert on Quinn's console sounded. "The debris is gone." He was sure that was not what Harmon wanted to hear.

[NPC - Colonel Helena Vasser - Bridge -> Ready Room, NSS Soteria ] A long sigh left Vasser's lips. This had been a rollercoaster of a day, and somehow she doubted that it was over. Her eyes turned towards Gorsk. "Sergeant, bring all of that debris aboard now. Transport it into the shuttlebay. As of right now, access is restricted. I want your eyes and only your eyes on that debris. Analyze it thoroughly, and report back to me," she ordered. Gorsk gave a curt nod and after commencing with the transport made her way to the turbolift. As for Vasser, right now, she needed a break. "Cho, you have the conn. I'll be in my ready room." Vasser suspected it wouldn't be a long respite before she was summoned back. As soon as the doors closed behind her, Vasser made her way to a small cooling unit. When she opened it, she pulled out a chilled bottle of cola, all the way from Earth. After twisting off the top, she brought the chilled glass against her lips and began to drink. After a few seconds, she pulled the bottle down and exhaled. Oh, how it brought back memories of many summers back on Virginia Beach. Nowhere near as glamorous as the west coast, but special in its own right. "Computer, Begin Personal Log Entry," after hearing the acknowledging chime Vasser began to speak. "One of the reason I left Starfleet was because of the politics. Positioning favorites rather than the most reasonable. But those are old scabs, ones I don't have the luxury of time to pick at. Not when there are more wounds beginning to fester.""I discovered not one, but two infiltrators on my ship today. And the one that came from Starfleet isn't the one that bothers me the most. There was someone from within the Alliance that did the most damage. At least that's how it appears. Four people were injured... one of them a friend, and it could have easily been worse. I'll never admit to Judy Eastman that she was right. Certainly not to her face.""And what's worse is I don't know who to trust. Granted, there is a small circle: Gorsk is loyal to a fault. I'd put my life in her hands, any hour of the day. And then, there's Chromar. He wants my job, but the man has limits. I don't believe he would do something like this. He wouldn't play the victim just to prove a point. I suppose in that respect, his hubris is an asset. Nox Tollarin... right now, he's in the gray. It surprises me to say that. He's been my greatest advocate, but today, he asked me to not bring any of this to command. That was when I told him about one spy... and those Tholian-based weapons. He has a point though. With everything that went down today, it could easily lead Command to lose confidence in me. Possibly replace me. And I'm not the sort to leave a fight unfinished.""Who do I trust? Who can I trust? These are questions I need the answers to and soon. I thought life in the Alliance would be simpler. And I don't mean easier. I mean... direct. That there would be less bureaucracy. Though it turns out, the Alliance is just like the Federation: there's more than one agenda at play here."There was a chime from Vasser's communicator. "Pause recording. Vasser, here." she said aloud. =0= "Colonel. I think there is something you need to see," =0=Vasser paused. Typically Gorsk would update her real-time with no issue. The fact that she felt it was something that Vasser needed to see personally.... =0= "I'm on my way. Vasser out." =0=
[NPCs - Colonel Helena Vasser & Alpha Sergeant Gorsk - Shuttlebay, NSS Soteria ] Vasser stared at one particular piece of the wreckage. It was unmistakable. She recognized it almost instantly, from the numbers alone. The emblem itself... well, it pointed to this as being an even larger mystery than anticipated. "I want this shuttlebay sealed at all times. No access unless they are escorted in by you, myself... or Major Chromar." The last name seemed to cause even the Na'kuhl's large eyes to widen. "He has resources that could help us get some answers.""Should we post guards as well?" Gorsk asked. Vasser entertained the idea for a moment. "Yes. But make sure it's always people that haven't worked together in the past. Any changes need to be approved by you personally, and you assign the replacements." That would take care of any unknowns calling in sick and having someone fill in for them. Vasser rose and gestured for Gorsk to follow as they moved towards the door, carefully stepping around the scattered debris. "Tholian-based tech was attached to one of our fighters, but those shipping labels are clearly Federation. Something like that goes missing and there's no report of it at all? There are only so many reasons to keep something like that a secret... only so many people that would keep such a secret, and none of them are good."

[NPC - Ens. Mabel Henriksen - Bridge, USS Mac]Mabel was increasingly concerned by the power struggle going on before her eyes. Technically, Starfleet rules meant Harmon - as the senior officer - was in charge, but this was dangerous. Too many cooks spoil the broth, even if one shouldn't be there. And even if, now, Quinn acknowledged Harmon's authority, it was still a dangerous situation. There was only one way to handle this. =A= "Henkrisen to Eastman. You should come up here." =A=
[Lt. Paawin Riyo - USS Mac - Sickbay]Riyo was grateful the Commander seemed to decide to wait until she was summoned to the Bridge, especially when the Commodore awoke and seemed to have lost quite a bit of time. That certainly didn't bode as well as he'd been hoping... The doctor opened his mouth to reassure the Commander it may not be as bad as it sounded - recent memories could very well return with a little prompting - when she responded to the patient beautifully. Either she had experience with someone who had amnesia, or she was a natural at comfort. Either one he found to be entirely possible. He shifted his attention back to his patient. "I'm Doctor Paawin, I'm just a substitute on this mission so I wouldn't expect you to recognize me on a normal basis." The Commodore didn't need to stress about not knowing him when they hadn't met before. "Judy is here making sure I take good care of you." It seemed Perry wasn't in a great deal of pain, so Riyo set the hypo down on the tray, keeping it handy just in case. He lifted his now-empty hand and held three fingers a reasonable distance from the other man's face. "Can you tell me how many fingers I'm holding up?" If his vision hadn't been fully repaired, that might add to his confusion. " I believe that it's 3 Doctor, you also seem familiar but forgive me as my head still feels very jumbled at the moment". [Cmdr. Judith Eastman(-Williams) - Sickbay -> Bridge, USS Mac]Perry's amnesia was difficult for Judy to work with, but she could only imagine how painful it was for him. She knew she'd have to keep drawing on her reservoirs of patience, and indeed she intended to. She would - when she could - help him through this as long as he was in what was now (due to his amnesia) her jurisdiction. "You did have a co-pilot. She's recovering quite well," she replied to the Commodore's mention of the other person with him. It was true, fortunately, that Aravis was doing well. "Now I have to head to the Bridge, but if you'd like, I can come back later," she added, before turning around and heading out. Amnesia or not, Calvin Perry lived and breathed Starfleet (he'd served his entire adult life, unlike Judy), so she was sure he'd understand. She headed up, taking the turbolift to the Bridge, when she got the message from Mabel. =A= "I'm coming." =A= Promptly, the turbolift reached the Bridge, the doors opened, and Judy stepped out, walking swiftly onto the Bridge. "So, what'd I miss?" she asked, preferring that more civilian phrasing to the Starfleet-standard "report!"

Tag: Isaiah Quinn , Jovireh Velal , Judith Eastman [Crewman Jovireh Velal - USS Mac - Bridge]Before Quinn could respond to the information, Commander Harmon returned to the Bridge and issued his own orders. So accept their offer. We need not antagonise them for no gain," he ordered. He then turned and looked Quinn in the eyes. "Mr Quinn, return to your station.
Tag: Matthew Harmon , Jovireh Velal [Crewman Jovireh Velal - USS Mac - Bridge]For a moment all Jovireh could do was stare at the two men in disbelief. Were they seriously doing what it looked like they were doing? This couldn't possibly be normal behavior for senior Bridge officers. Her gaze darted over to Mabel, hoping to get some sort of understanding of the situation based on the Ensign's reaction. But before she could fully make out anything, she was given yet another order. Jovireh clenched her jaw, half expecting the other Commander to follow through with another order for her as well. But it didn't happen. To her surprise - and relief - Quinn decided to back down and moved to his station, glancing over at her with what seemed to be an apologetic expression. At least one of them was aware of their behavior... With a small sigh, she returned her gaze back to her console, and as she moved to transport the debris to the ship she froze, silently hoping what she was seeing - or rather, not seeing - was a glitch in navigation. But before she could run another scan, Commander Quinn voiced what she was thinking. "It vanished before I could get a lock on it. I... Sir." She had been about to apologize for her delayed reaction time in carrying out the transport... But her temper flared when she thought about taking responsibility for the error, when they had been the ones acting like two targs around a female in heat. No, she wasn't going to apologize this time. And if either of them expected it from her... Well, neither of them knew her very well. As Mabel called the Commander to the Bridge, Jovireh relaxed a little more. At least she wasn't the only one disturbed by the battle-of-will that just transpired. It wasn't long before Commander Eastman arrived, and Jovireh straightened to attention, clenching her jaw tightly and focusing her gaze directly ahead of her to prevent herself from blurting out exactly what the woman had missed. She wanted to see how the men explained themselves.

Tag Judith Eastman Jovireh Velal [Lt. [ Commodore Calvin Perry - Sickbay, Deck 7] Calvin forced himself to look over as the woman named Judy spoke to him. Paawin Riyo - USS Mac - Sickbay]Perry's memories seemed to be fitting together, which was definitely a good sign. When he correctly identified the number of fingers in front of him, Riyo resisted a sigh of relief, instead giving a reassuring and proud smile. "Very good. Some confusion is normal and to be expected after the trauma you've sustained. Be patient with yourself, and it will start coming back to you." He hoped. As the Commander confirmed the co-pilot's recovery before excusing herself, he gave a nod of understanding, hoping that she would come back to visit as frequently as she was able. From his understanding, commanding officers were rarely close with anyone on their ship except for their first officer, which meant that Judy had the best chance of providing Perry the moral support he would need to recover as much as possible. When he was left alone with his patient, he turned back to the other man. "Please let me know if there's anything you need to be more comfortable. You need to rest, but I can answer a few more questions for you if you'd like." Most patients were more likely to rest better if they weren't left wondering about things. While he didn't have all the answers, he hoped he'd be able to answer enough for the man to relax.

[ Commodore Calvin Perry - Sickbay, Deck 7] " Thank you and yes I'd like that" Perry replied, grateful to Judy for answering his question before she offered to come back later. That would definitely be helpful and it was always nice to have visitors. Once she had gone and he was left in Dr Paawin's obviously caring hands. Calvin gave his full attention to the Doctor as he explained about his confusion. Hope was a powerful thing and if he needed to be patient then that's what he would do. " I understand and I will, I know better than to push myself".Calvin had experienced far too much in his life and battled many demons so he wasn't going to overdo it. When Paawin spoke to him again, Calvin nodded appreciating his offer and reassurance. " Thank you and I think I should rest then I'll likely have more questions when I wake".

[Lt. Paawin Riyo - USS Mac - Sickbay]At least Perry seemed content not to push himself to remember everything immediately. The reduced stress would be more likely to help his memories return as his brain healed. When the other man agreed to rest before asking more questions, Riyo nodded. "Just holler if you need anything. I'll check on you in a little bit." If he was able to fall asleep naturally, that would be best, but if he was still awake when Riyo checked on him later he would give him a sedative. He didn't like doing it so soon after anesthesia, but sometimes it was necessary. Quickly putting away the hypo he had prepared and not needed, he left his patient to rest, making sure the curtains were closed behind him before taking a look around Sickbay. Finally... Patients and medical personnel only... The way an infirmary should be. "Computer, dim the lights over biobeds one and two." With both patients needing their rest, it would be helpful not to have the lights glaring above them. He turned his attention to Ensign Neme, finally getting a chance to check in. "Thank you for your help today. Looks like you handled everything well. Is there anything else I need to know?"

" I will and okay"Perry replied with gratitude before Dr Paawin left him and he settled back against the bed. Perhaps he would dream of his wife again or at least something happy in order to soothe his confused brain. That would be very acceptable in Calvin's eyes as the lights dimmed and he heard murmurs of conversation as he let his body relax.
As sleep then began to claim him, his last thoughts were of his family and of the ship until he was finally in a peaceful slumber.

You should come up here." =A= [Cmdr. It was also convenient that everyone in that moment seemed inclined to to remain tight-lipped as she essentially asked for a report of what had transpired. Isaiah had his suspicions that Commander Eastman's arrival may have been accelerated thanks to Mabel. With no one clamoring over themselves to fill in the blanks for Eastman, Isaiah proceeded to speak up. "Recently, we've been in touch with the Soteria," Isaiah began. "Colonel Vasser agreed to allow us to interview the pilots from Owl-1, but postponed due to a situation that was pressing at the time. That matter turned out to be the apprehension of a suspect who was responsible for sabotaging Owl-1's turrets to fire on the Hera and attempted to destroy evidence." Isaiah paused as he seemed to consider his words. "Or rather... succeeded. That was what caused the trimmer moments ago. The Soteria warned us in time to avoid any significant damage from its shockwave. We scanned to confirm that whatever detonated had the same signature we found before. I failed to act quickly enough to bring that material aboard." Isaiah's eyes briefly glanced in Velal's direction, apologetically. "Commander Harmon relieved me of command," Isaiah said, "however, by that time it was too late. The Soteria had already beamed the debris aboard their vessel. The colonel offered the pilots to be interviewed at any point, but did suggest doing so back at the station, where we would have the opportunity to interview the suspect they have in custody as well." Isaiah took a deep breath after delivering the report, attempting to keep as many of the pertinent details in place as necessary. He had claimed responsibility for missing the window they had to beam the debris aboard. Yet, one had to wonder if they even had a claim to it to begin with.

She stood, several feet away from the center chair, with a decent view of the whole bridge. "Let's set a course for the station, Warp 9," she ordered, and then went to sit down. Mabel sat down on the chair to the left of the center chair. "This is not how I'd hoped this day would go."

That would be very acceptable in Calvin's eyes as the lights dimmed and he heard murmurs of conversation as he let his body relax. As sleep then began to claim him, his last thoughts were of his family and of the ship until he was finally in a peaceful slumber. [Lt. Paawin Riyo - USS Mac - Sickbay]Riyo listened intently as the Ensign gave their report, nodding as he accepted the padd. "Thank you. Go ahead and enjoy the rest of your day off. I'll forward this information to the Commander." Maybe it would help with the investigation, maybe it wouldn't, but it was better to have all the gathered data together. He sat at the desk with a sigh, setting the padd down and picking up another. Might as well start writing his report now. While physically she would be fit for duty within a day or two, he preferred to give extra emotional recovery time for traumatic incidents such as this. He tossed the padd back on the desk. That was something he didn't want to put into writing, but he knew it was required. Perhaps the prognosis would be a little better when the man awoke, especially if more of his memories returned. But there was no avoiding his need for long-term care. Riyo hoped the Commodore enjoyed his time in the pilot's seat. It was likely the last thing he would ever do in the field.
